Embrace the power of self-compassion and healing with our latest meditation session, where we promise you'll learn how to create space for both physical and emotional discomfort. Join us as we navigate through a soothing practice, inviting you to discover areas of tension within your body and offering gentle affirmations to acknowledge and heal your feelings.

This meditation is to support the amazing episode featuring Dr. Olatunde (catch the prior episode) on using touch to heal chronic pain.

We're also thrilled to announce a soon-to-be-unveiled group program that promises a transformative experience, filled with incredible opportunities for growth and healing. While details remain under wraps, I assure you that what's coming is nothing short of incredible, and I'm eager to hear your thoughts and questions.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, all.
So I wanted to close oursession today with a brief
meditation practice, and thepurpose of this practice is to
help us make room for pain.
As I was deciding on how weshould approach this, what we

(00:23):
should do, I think it would benice to open this up for any
sensation that we don't like oris uncomfortable, or even any
emotion that's uncomfortable.
So, once again, this is ofcourse.
We're taping it.
So if you can't stay, it's cool.
I will ask you to probably staymuted as we try to get
ourselves to relax, and we'll dothis for just a few minutes,

(00:45):
because I didn't want to have afew minutes.
You know, in case there's anyquestions or anything.
If you have to miss it, noworries, this will go live on
the podcast.
The meditation piece willprobably go live in about two to
three to four weeks, but I willnotify you and if you are on my
email list, you'll definitelyget it.
And then, if not just Art ofHealing podcast, any of the show

(01:06):
notes will take you there.
So, if you all are ready, wherever you are, if you want to
maybe take a few minutes to getready to relax, so if you're
maybe up running around, if youwant to find a place you could
be seated and a little bitundisturbed, and we'll probably
do this for maybe five or sixminutes.
And if you want to get yourselfcomfortable, if you're seated,

(01:33):
sometimes stretching out rightear to right shoulder, left ear
to left shoulder, chin to chestor forehead to the sky, and if
you want to inhale through yournose and exhale through your

(01:56):
mouth, and if you can possiblygo ahead and let your eyes close
, if it's possible, and if youcan just simply listen, inhaling
through the nose and exhalingthrough the mouth.
So we are making room for painor discomfort.

(02:20):
It's common to tighten aroundany discomfort.
So as you inhale and justexhale, naturally, if you'd like
to sense, from the top of yourhead to the bottom of your feet,
anything that you just don'tlike maybe it's painful, maybe

(02:45):
you just don't like, Maybe it'spainful, maybe you just don't
like how it feels and briefly, just bring your attention to
that part of your body Maybeit's tightness in your jaw,
maybe it's tightness in theshoulders, maybe it's an upset

(03:12):
stomach and as you inhale andexhale and you sense that area,
now just note how you feel.
Do you feel hope, a sadness, regret?

(03:33):
Nothing?
You only note how you feel, just noting the experience.
And as you note this area thatholds a feeling that you don't

(03:54):
like pain or discomfort or don'tlike it, think of something
that you can say where you havecompassion for yourself.
You can say it's okay that I'mworried, it's okay that I'm sad,
things will get better.
Sometimes I don't feel good butI will feel better.

(04:18):
I wish I had not said dot, dot,dot to so-and-so that I can
make it better.
And as you inhale and youexhale, continue to say that

(04:44):
positive phrase in your mind, just to that place in your body.
And as you say that phrase itmay feel like that spot can open

(05:17):
up.
Maybe it's a circle that canexpand or even a part of your

(05:47):
body that can sort of open up.
And as you inhale you may findthat with the inhalation you can
make space and room and maybethis thing that doesn't feel so
good doesn't feel as much.
So it may be that as you inhalethere is space and as you

(06:11):
exhale it just doesn't have asmuch magnitude.
So we'll take another minute, eyes open or closed, close,
sensing that part of our bodies, having compassion for ourselves

(06:32):
and the part of our body thatholds this uncomfortable thing
and just breathing, thank you.

(07:25):
So if you'd like to take onemore inhalation and exhalation
and if you feel ready, you canopen your eyes and we have a few
scheduled minutes.
If anyone has any questions, any concerns, keep in mind

(07:50):
everything we recorded todaywill come out on the podcast.
Dr Olatunde was amazing.
I'm so happy she could come on.
Just everything about herenergy is awesome.
And in the chat, focus onHealing is her site.
In case you missed it, I'mgoing to just make sure I repost
that.
And if you scroll down herwebsite, she's got that link to

(08:14):
one of her freebies and then wehad one more from her.
Let me make sure I get that inthe link.
She shared her document for usto use as a resource.
So just make sure you all havethat.
All right, guys.

(08:34):
Next scheduled recording is tobe announced.
We have some potential gueststhat I'm trying to work with
right now.
As far as scheduling, let mejust make sure, because I think
I know almost all of you.
You probably are on the emaillist but upcoming guests over
the next few weeks, but I willmake sure I send emails when

(08:56):
those are coming up.
Major upcoming group programthat we are going to have some
amazing healers.
One of those is with us heretoday.
There will be more info to comeon that.
So that's going to be a groupprogram that is not to be missed
.

I'm so excited about anyquestions you guys comments.

(09:21):

I'm just make sure y'all have alink to the my email, a link to
the my email.

and other guests to come, but wedon't know when they'll be on
