(00:02):
What's going on? Happy Wednesday.
I can't believe it's already Wednesday.
You know what, it's so weird. I would normally be doing this
on a Tuesday night, but because it's Wednesday and because I
enjoy getting enough sleep between shows, I've moved this
and now it's Wednesday nights and then we come back for

(00:23):
Tuesday daytime shows. It's going to work out a lot
better. I hope it's OK with you because
it's happening. My name is Shacha for I'm a
former police officer who talks about Traffic Safety, traffic
law and police stuff. And if you have questions, I
tend to have answers on those topics so feel free to drop them
in the comments. I am on multiple platforms at
the moment. We are on YouTube, LinkedIn,

(00:44):
TikTok, of course, we're on Twitter, well X and Instagram.
And if you ask questions on those, I will generally see them
pop up on the screen. And although I'm not usually
answering them instantaneously because it's some lag and
there's a bunch of different places I've got to look before I
can respond, I do answer as manyas possible.
If you have dad jokes, please drop them into the comments.

(01:04):
I'd save them for the rest of the show or at the end of the
show. And we're going to do this for
about an hour. So get comfy if you got I I
meant to make coffee, but I didn't.
So I'm sticking with water, the non caffeinated variety.
Although I wish I, I wish I had coffee, it's just not meant to
be tonight. Anyway, I hope you're doing

(01:24):
well. I see the first message on the
Youtubes that's coming in from Brandon and he says good evening
Sean and all from Orlando, FL Hope you all had an amazing day.
Sorry I missed the live yesterday.
I was in a meeting with Guy Fieri at Disney or and Disney.
All the text is really so I try there's a new theme style here

(01:45):
I'm just noticing and it doesn'treally work.
So maybe we change it to is thatbetter?
That's the old style one. We'll stick with that.
The the transparent 1 is pretty, but it doesn't look good on my
background. Oh well, upgrades at Restream,
they're looking pretty cool. Lots of nice features.
That one I was looking forward to kind of sucks for my color

(02:06):
scheme. Anyway, Brandon is a car guy, a
chef guy, a Disney guy, and he'san Ontarian who's currently in
Florida, so shout out to him. Hope he's doing well and thanks
for dropping in. And, and we forgive you for
missing yesterday's live. We are on with Jerry Ager on
News Talk 1010. That was at 10:00.
And then we did a double segmentin the afternoon, in the

(02:27):
morning, in the second-half and it was great taking questions
from the fine folks who TuneIn to his show.
It's always fun. Mulder, 12, says, hey Sean,
what's your best and least favorite memories moments at
OPC? I'm headed there in January.
Any tips? And happy Wednesday, Mulder,

(02:48):
this is so OPC is Ontario PoliceCollege.
I will say that the entire experience was awesome.
I I what was the most meaningfulWe're going back some, I don't
know, podcasts on the way back, driving back and forth.
I didn't stay there on the weekends.
I came back every week and I was, I was newly married and I

(03:11):
the food wasn't good. The chocolate milk was good.
I like chocolate milk and they have chocolate milk on tap.
So that was pretty awesome. I, I liked it all.
Obviously I was really into the traffic courses, but I, I
everything is an experience. Everything's an opportunity.
Made some great friends that I'mstill in touch with.
Just enjoy the ride and study like crazy.

(03:32):
Don't, don't get focused on the social Bush outdoors Canada.
If you're looking for a marathonwatch, talk to that man.
He's he's in the chat. You should call Bush Outdoors
under score Canada a good guy. You may have noticed I was
wearing a, a marathon hat in some of the videos that I've
recently published. They may have been coming from
that guy. Let's see here Ethan says Sean,

(03:53):
how are you? I'm doing well Lewis is here.
What happens if you catch a red light camera ticket, but a
police officer sees you doing itat the same time?
So the question is, do you get 2tickets or does one get excused?
Well, the camera ticket isn't a guarantee.
It may or may not issue, but youcan in the early guarantee is
that you're going to get one from the copper.
If you were to receive the police ticket and be convicted

(04:14):
of her to pay it and then go to court with proof of that, I
imagine you wouldn't get a double conviction.
However, because you you're, you're saying I got it like like
it's not fair to get me twice. And I agree with that.
I don't think it would be fair. So I would hope that they would
throw it out, although I don't Ican't speak for them.
I I would, I would hope that they would go Jase go.

(04:35):
Are they playing tonight? Is tonight a game?
I'm so out to lunch when it comes to sports.
It's just not my bag. Although Jays is the discussion
everywhere. Every I got a call from my
accountant and he's like, can you, you know your, your your
brother is my brother lives in Los Angeles.
He says, could you could you getthem to throw the game?
We need a win here, which is a pretty funny ask.

(04:57):
And and no, I, I, I, I couldn't get him to throw the game.
Oh, Mulder wants to know if I know anybody from South Simcoe
Police Service. I do actually.
I know a couple people from South Simcoe 1 is a new a newly
minted badge there as well as I know some some folks from the
media courses that I've been on what we got here.

(05:18):
Curry wants to know my thoughts on Bill C56 with revision to the
HTA. Are you talking about the the
specifics about campers and and RV's in that nature?
What what revisions are we referring to Curry Give me more
to go on because I'm sure Bill C56 is more than a few lines to
read Daryl Gonzalez says someonein PRP, which is I mean I'm

(05:43):
assuming it's Peel regional police is obsessed with him and
now he's repeated that twice. So I must it must mean something
serious, but I don't know what that would you want me to
extrapolate from your your statement.
It's not a question, so we're going to move on.
If you're just tuning in, if you're watching on TikTok,
please follow, Please tap the screen so your fingers go numb,
send some likes and bring some more people to the party.

(06:03):
And when more people come to theparty, we get more interesting
questions. If you're coming in from
Instagram, follow me there. If you're coming on YouTube,
definitely follow me there. We're trying to hit 1000
followers and what I'd really like to do is hit 1000 followers
on my voice over cop page on Facebook because once we do
that, we'll be able to live stream into Facebook in addition
to everywhere else that we're following or broadcasting.

(06:24):
We call it broadcasting. I think it's broadcasting.
In any case, the the deal is follow me wherever you want to
follow me, but follow me becausewe go live as regularly as
possible. Used to do five days a week.
At the moment we're doing two days a week, but who knows,
maybe we'll be back into more atsome point.
That's the goal. More is always the goal.
OK, What Al Engineering, What's going on, my friend?

(06:46):
Good to see you and what we got here.
Oh, Lewis says Friday is the first game of the World Series.
That's the deal. Very cool.
UCU under score under score C What do they want to say?
What are you OK? My municipality names people who

(07:06):
have been arrested for impaired driving.
If they are found innocent, could they be potentially held?
Could they potentially hold the police service liable for any
damages? That's a good question.
You're arrested and charged for impaired operation.
They're just reporting and publishing that now.
Some jurisdictions, I think yourregional police used to do it.

(07:26):
They stopped doing it for that very reason.
Someone they, they named the wrong person.
It wasn't that the person that was arrested was named in error,
It's that they named the wrong person in error from my
understanding. But if you are arrested,
reporting the news is not wrong. You're an adult, you're charged.
Whether you're convicted is another story.
If they're charging you, publishing your name, as far as

(07:47):
I can tell, is absolutely legitimate.
If you suffer losses as a resultof it, then so be it.
You shouldn't drink and drive. You shouldn't Dr. impaired by
drugs or alcohol. And that's, that's, that's about
it. Now, could you suffer damages,
losses of wages? You know, is it wrong?
Like when you get off on a technicality, are you innocent

(08:09):
or are you lucky? Or did you pay the appropriate
fees to a lawyer to, to do it, do the song and dance and get
you out of something that you'reactually responsible for?
That's the thing. The truth is that you're,
you're, we don't charge innocentpeople.
If you got charged for impaired operation, it's because you're
absolutely guilty of impaired operation.
Now, the judicial side of the game is a game.

(08:33):
And very often people, you know, squirm out of being held
accountable, but it doesn't meanthey're not guilty.
So yeah, that's, that's my take on it.
I, I, I'm not aware of anybody who's innocent being charged
because I've never laid a chargeagainst an innocent person.
Doesn't happen unless unless there's something really wrong
going on and that that can happen.
But I'm actually at the side of the road.

(08:54):
If you're being charged for it, you're guilty.
That's just my take and I I totally accept that there are
different opinions on this. Let's see here we got what L
engineering who says did you ever get a chance to work at
Jays game or other sporting events?
Absolutely I did. I worked as a motor squad
officer. We got called in to do all the

(09:14):
the traffic surrounding the games at the end.
So we'd be inside, outside at traffic points.
We were rotated to come in and and do things while the game was
going on. Then we'd be back out for the
traffic points. But I used to be at, at Spadina
or Spadina, which is apparently the correct pronunciation.
And I'd be there controlling thethree stage light.
I'd shut it down and control that intersection.

(09:38):
OK boom boom boom what do we got?
Oh and U under score C says thanks for the response and
you're very welcome. And Maverick, thanks for sharing
the live much appreciate it. Doctor followed me.
That's cool. Angry.
What is this anger cycles MMAMGRI don't know how to

(09:59):
pronounce your username. A car in front of me was driving
recklessly and a cop ended up following me since we matched
making color. How is this fair?
It is what it is. How did they?
How are they to know that it wasn't you and it was them?
When you have two vehicles that match the description, It is
what it is. Did they follow you and charge

(10:19):
you for something you didn't do?Or did they follow you and then
you didn't do anything wrong so they left you alone?
Or they investigated and determined that you weren't
them? Did they?
Again, they didn't. They couldn't have laid a charge
based on someone else making a report.
They would have had to have seenyou doing stuff if it was a
tracking traffic offense anyway. If they investigated you and
found that your vehicle was not legal, that's still on you
because your vehicle has to be legal, right?

(10:43):
Let me know more on that. Like tell me more about it.
Alex says hi, traffic cop, it's former traffic cop says so on
the screen. I retired from policing over a
year ago now. It's hard to believe it's been
that long, but that's the deal. It's been a while.
I don't wear the uniform anymore, but in my heart I'm
still with them. Let's see here.
Oh, and and OK, sporting event. I think it was just the Jays

(11:04):
games that I that I worked at and a bunch of concerts.
Lots, lots of concerts, but it was different.
The concerts were paid duties and the Jays games were on duty
or, or callbacks. Hockey Dad under score 91.
Hey, if my battery dies, can I boost it from the neck bolts of
my Frankenstein's monster? You can make that work.
Power to you. Good to see you, my friend.

(11:25):
Still can't get used to your newusername, but hey, I'll get over
it eventually. What L Engineering says I have
tickets for Friday. What is this?
I have tickets for Friday. Even throwing the first pitch.
Come on. Really.
No, come on. I can't tell if he's pulling my
leg or not. But you know what?
He flies drones, so he could be absolutely legit.
Honda Miggs. Good to see you, Alex.

(11:47):
We got a whole bunch of Hamza. Malik jumped in.
Emma, what is this? Oh, we got, we got lots of, lots
of names and lots of ones without spaces.
So they're hard to read. Going back to the TikTok and I
see also on YouTube, we got storm games and vlogs says, did
you go to Jays Game 7 or watchedit at home?
I didn't watch it. I didn't go to it.

(12:08):
I, I, I'm not a sports guy. Sorry to, to break the news to
anyone who's really into sports, just not my thing.
And what we got here. He says, I saw the Mariners
being escorted. Would they go to the Canadian
border or just escort them out of Toronto?
Then that's it. So if they were being escorted
by police, we would have just got them on the highway and then
said goodbye just to get them out of the mess.

(12:30):
OK. Is it normal for police to
impound vehicles for window film?
Happened to me. Impound for vehicle film.
No, that that is not an impounding situation.
Taking it off the road, taking the license plates because it's
got it's unsafe for the road, making you tow it to wherever
you want. But it would be a Utah versus a

(12:51):
we tow. So we no, it wouldn't be
impounded for window film. You'll need to give me a little
more for that. Like what was it?
What was going on? Like if you were stunt driving,
that's an impound. If you were going 40 over in a
in a speed zone with a speed limit under 80, that would be
impound. If you were impaired by alcohol
or drugs, it would be impound. But impounding for vehicle
tints? No, no, Pereira 491 says.

(13:16):
I don't want to have a front plate on my BMW.
That's, that's life, my friend. In Ontario, if you're registered
here, you gots to have a front plate.
Wanting has very little to do with it.
It's just sort of what it is. Hey, if you're watching and
you're new to the channel, my name is Sean Shapiro.
I'm a former police officer who talks about Traffic Safety,
traffic law and police stuff. And just a quick shout out to my

(13:37):
friends at Diamond and Diamond, They are sponsors of their show.
They help keep the lights on, quite literally.
They they help support me and the work that I do in keeping
you informed about traffic law, Traffic Safety and police stuff
in general. So thanks to them and thanks to
you for tuning in. If you don't already follow me,
please do now. User lots of numbers says E
bikes. What are the laws?

(13:59):
I can talk about this for days. In fact, I just did an interview
with my friends at the Globe andMail talking about the E bikes,
E kick scooters and of course the magical enclosed well, but
they're, they're full of crap. They're they're enclosed
mobility scooters that are supposed to be medical devices,
but they are the size of small fiats and they are not at all

(14:22):
real E bikes, E kick scooters ormobility scooters.
They're just illegal motor vehicles.
But the E bikes in particular inthe province of Ontario, which
is the focus of my knowledge, you have to have a maximal, you
cannot have more than a 500 Wattmotor, you have to have
functional pedals, you can't weigh more than 120 kilos and

(14:43):
what else, What else? What else?
There's something else there, pedals, weight, motors and top
speed of 32 kilometers an hour capable of going no more than 32
kilometers an hour. So when people are modifying
them to go faster, they're reverting to their original
state of motor vehicle. In the case of an E bike, it's a
motorcycle if it's AE kick scooter, if you put a seat on
it, it's a motorcycle if it's capable of going more than 24

(15:06):
kilometers, it's a motor vehicleor a motorcycle if it's got a
seat. That's the deal.
Can't carry cargo on those. And in in the kick scooters are
are are different thing. They're under a pilot project.
While the Highway Traffic Act actually has E bikes permanently
included in them. The E kick scooters are on an
opt in basis. In other words, municipalities

(15:27):
have to say, yes, we're making them legal here.
We're accepting the pilot in ourjurisdiction.
And if they don't, they're not legal.
So city of Toronto says we don'twant them.
They cause too many injuries andevery study surrounding E kick
scooters says increase in head injuries and serious bodily
harm. They are no good.
They are no good for for having us there.

(15:47):
Interesting. When we got here, we got What
are your thoughts on the increase in difficulty getting
bail? Is it difficult getting bail in
Ontario? And I can't, I can't speak to
the criminal courts in their bail system.
I'm not aware of anyone having difficulty getting bail.
I think that everyone sort of gets out of jail.
I don't think anyone's really held in custody anymore.

(16:09):
Half the people don't even get to the point of having to have a
bail hearing because if someone can be released at the side of
the road or released at the police station, they do that.
The system was is upside down right now.
Very few people are held and it's only the very serious stuff
that is being held. Most people get out.
They don't even go to to court for a bail hearing.

(16:30):
And then they also want to know what I think of the removal on
speed cameras. Well, they're being fought on
this. And I hope this the government
gets sued on this because it's amistake.
Speed cameras are proven proven to keep people slower, which
makes communities safer. I just attended virtually an
event where the Sick Kids Hospital presented about the

(16:51):
effectiveness, the benefits. Their study describes how much
it improves the survivability incommunities when speed cameras
are present, how much people have slowed down and continue to
drive slower. Amazing stuff.
What was most interesting, and Ithink you'll find this
interesting, where does the money go?

(17:12):
That's a question that I've always been asked and I didn't
have a good answer, but they gave me that information because
they looked into it. So about 30% of the money goes
to the province. Victim find surcharges, things
of that nature, they go to the province.
Now when you start talking aboutthe next section of money, 30%

(17:33):
goes to running the program. And here's where the 40%
leftover goes, making programs surrounding Traffic Safety.
So by cutting this program, not only do you counter the effects
of slowing people down, making, well, roads less safe, by
removing cameras, which are effective at slowing people
down, you also take away fundingfor other Traffic Safety

(17:55):
programs. So lose, lose, I guess.
Not cool. Anyway, that's the thing, I, I'm
a big supporter of the, the cameras and we'll be sad to see
them go, but hope they get sued and they bring them back.
Look at look at the, you know, out West where they took away
cameras. Their fatalities went up.
They're bringing cameras back because they're effective.

(18:15):
They work. That's what effective is.
You need them. Police can't be everywhere all
the time. I just got a text from my buddy
who I just landed on his trip back from Los Angeles, and
apparently they didn't catch himat the border so he's made it
back into Canada. Boom.
What do we got here? Oh, oh, oh, oh, I got some more

(18:38):
stuff here from Instagram. Oh, and what all engineering is
literally legitimately throwing the first pitch legitimately.
Did you win that? Did you pay someone off?
How did you do that? But he says it's a it's a legit
deal on Friday. That's awesome.
I may actually TuneIn just to see him throw the pitch.
I know him. We've met at auto shows in the

(18:59):
past. So it's been a number of years
where we've seen each other morethan once and I'm really happy
for you. That's cool.
Hydration important hockey dad says just got some Govi lights
Is Govi the appropriate pronunciation?
I may or may not be planning on setting them to police lights
when someone speeds down the road.

(19:20):
Are those the the studio lights that that switch or are they
other kind of lights? Either way, I I have some some
LED studio lights that you can hit a button and turn them into
police mode and they'll flash them all to color.
Yes, OK, Honda meek says Sean, you'll be so happy to hear that.
I officially sent my car to the shop to officially put a quiet,

(19:40):
a nice quiet exhausting catalytic converter back on.
So I'm done with loud cars. Dude.
I'm very happy to hear that you're hearing and and your your
neighbors, I'm sure will be evenhappier.
It's just it's just good. It's it's good to have a car
that's compliant and doesn't getyou tickets and and it doesn't
know your neighbors. Bush Outdoors Canada, who
happens to have an in on TTC andtransit and whatnot, says the

(20:04):
bikes will not be permitted on the Toronto transit system in
November 15th. 2025 to April 15th, 2026 due to the inclement
weather and the volatile conditions for batteries.
So if you don't know about the issues with anything that's
running lithium ion batteries and the potential for thermal
overload or thermal runaway, I should say they're a major

(20:25):
problem. I did a podcast with the chief,
a chief Larry Coco from the Toronto fire and he talked about
the risks related to thermal runaway.
So I actually am now, you know, a, a scholar.
I, I got schooled by the chief like he really, it was an
amazing episode. Go check it out on the, on the
Toronto police traffic services page.

(20:46):
Actually, you can see it on The Voice over on page 2.
It's, it's there as well. In any case, lots of interesting
things to know about the magic of batteries.
No kidding. Not good.
And if you remember a couple years, was it last year or the
year before a subway car went upin flames because an E bike
battery is spontaneously combusted?
It's a bad day at the office when that happens.

(21:08):
What do we got here? Hockey dad says he'd love to see
traffic cameras in Nova Scotia. We were supposed to get them
that the premier put the kibosh on it about 20 years ago.
They. Oh, interesting that that, you
know, there's a lot of leaders in that are, that are running
like leaders within the provincethat were fighting to get them

(21:29):
back as they believe in the workthey did.
Is your neighborhood getting funky bumps like pimples on the
road? I I've been spending some time
in Richmond Hill and Thornhill and Vaughn and I see that
there's construction all over the place adding humps.
So I'm experimenting with them once they go in, you don't have

(21:49):
to slow down for these things. And I, and I mean this because
why are they spending money to put this crap on the roads?
They're not really effective. Now, it depends on the driver.
If you are asleep at the wheel and you just drive over them
like a regular speed bump, you bump and you bump hard, which
makes no sense because the speedlimit on most of the roads I'm
seeing these installed are 40 and 50, and you have to go below

(22:09):
the speed limit not to bump if you're driving directly over
them. However, if you're not asleep at
the wheel and you aim your tiresto the left and right of them,
you barely notice they exist. So is it to keep you off your
phones? You aim or is it really
expecting? Are you really expecting people
to drive over them? This is the question.
I'd like to know. I I don't understand why
anybody. Anyway, I I'm anti bump.

(22:30):
I'm not a bump person. Bump.
Yeah. OK, I'll stop that.
What do we got here? Oh Eve's lights on his Eve.
That's what the. Oh, lights on his outside of his
house. Interesting.
Interesting. Oh, so we've got this question,
a statement on speed bumps. Sorry, one second here.

(22:57):
So the speed bumps have a higherpercentage for effectiveness?
Not exactly. Yes and no.
And the issue is they they do punish everybody.
If it's a true speed bump where you have to crawl over it not to
damage your vehicle. Yeah, it's very effective at
slowing people down. It also punishes people who were

(23:18):
never breaking the law in the 1st place.
And I totally disagree with that.
I shouldn't have to do 10 kilometers over the OR 10
kilometers period or five kilometers not to destroy my
suspension and scratch the underbody of my vehicle just because
a couple of Dum Dums like to speed down the road or even a
lot of Dum Dums. The Dum Dums who speed down the
road, who will be impacted by a ticket a week, two weeks, six

(23:42):
weeks later will slow down. The signage alone will slow
people down. So this is this is the
discussion about automated speedenforcement.
We know that 50% of the people slow down because of it and
continue to drive more effectively and slower despite
not being in front of the cameraanymore.
But even speed bumps don't work for slowing people down all the
time. It's speed, the speed between

(24:03):
speed bumps. And I know this because there
are cameras that have captured people speeding between speed
bumps. Actual Brampton cameras it it's
insane. People don't get the fact that
you don't get anywhere that muchfaster by by speeding.
You do increase your risks of collision, though.
All right, what do we got here? What are your thoughts on me?

(24:25):
Oh, we talked about that. Oh, it's a they're on both
platforms. I see it's the Autistic Lemur
42O2 on both platforms. Cool.
I appreciate that you're in two places.
Melody says. Oh, replied to Boston letting me
know that, letting them know that I'm in Ontario, Canada.
And thank you for responding. And Melody, thank you for for
popping in. Melody is the mechanic, the

(24:45):
magical melody? The mechanic magical melody.
Anyway, we're going to come up with a name that sticks
eventually. Melody's a mechanic who has come
up to the show a number of timesto answer your traffic questions
or your mechanic questions, vehicle questions.
Yeah, different perspectives. Awesomeness.
Let's see here, Doris. Toronto.
It's allowed the police to ask you for breathalyzer in the

(25:08):
parking lot. Yes.
So a breathalyzer, which is really a roadside screening
device, breathalyzer or an intoxalyzer is the device used
at the police station. It's an approved instrument,
whereas A roadside screening device is an approved screening
device. It's a little different.
One is used in court, the other one is used to establish grounds

(25:29):
or suspicion or no ground grounds for arrest rather than
simple suspicion. In Ontario you can if you have
grounds to believe, you have suspicion to believe that
there's alcohol and there's a blood system, you can make a
demand based on that. Or if you're operating a motor
vehicle and it's a lawful stop, then everyone can get, you don't
have to have suspicion anymore. Everyone can be can have a

(25:50):
demand made for them. So parking lot St.
Yeah, the Criminal Code applies and the in terms of the driving
under the influence that appliesanywhere you're operating a
motor vehicle. Lyle Dolph says emergency
vehicle lights and sirens versusschool bus with lights.
Who has the right of way? Oddly enough, if a school bus

(26:11):
has lights on flashing their stop bars are actually stop
bars. Really doesn't matter.
It's the lights. Police, fire, ambulance are not
legally permitted to proceed through.
We would ask that fire that, that, that since fire, ambulance
and police are kind of a priority, that a school bus
driver that notices them would close the doors, turn off the

(26:32):
lights and hop as quickly as possible.
I've often said that, listen, ifI was going to go save someone's
life, if I was going to a gun call and there was a school bus,
I would be as diligent as possible to ensure that I don't
hit anybody. But I would probably break that
rule. And people can say, how can you
say that you that you're going to break that rule?
Because if someone was going to die because the school bus
driver wasn't paying attention or then then I would not would

(26:54):
be OK with that. And I would sooner be OK with
getting in trouble with my boss or even, you know, getting it,
getting some kind of consequence, but doing the right
thing, breaking the rule for theright reason, in my opinion.
Just saying, just saying you canquote me on that, but IA lot of
cops, I think would do the same thing if they were going to an

(27:15):
emergency call. It's an emergency baby.
They're going, but you know they'd be responsible and if
anything bad happened, they'd wear it.
It would be bad, bad, bad, bad. If you're watching and you don't
know who I am, where have been for the last number of years
I've been on this platform, originally on the Traffic
Services Toronto Police Channel, which I started during the vid

(27:36):
and it's just kept on going. We had over 670,000 followers on
that Channel. It's now dormant and I'm doing
this in my retirement. I've started the not-for-profit
called the Canadian Organizationfor Better Traffic Safety and
Education and through that we'vegot sponsors who help keep us
alive and keep me doing what I'mdoing to help you.
My goal is to make roads safer, to keep you ticket free as best

(27:57):
as possible. Let's not give you the
information if you choose to, todo what you want to do with it
or not. You still you still responsible
for what you do. But I I'm doing my best to help
you and I'll keep doing that as long as I can.
We've got punk father who says is it OK if I drink and drive?
I'm sure you are thinking you'revery funny.

(28:17):
Maybe you're impaired right now because the joke wasn't funny.
Let's see here we got hockey dad91 who says when my brother
first moved to Alberta his registration was still listed as
glace Bay. So within a month we got a
letter with his big dumb face going through a speed camera.
Never got another one since. Either he stopped driving like a

(28:40):
silly person or he changed his address so you wouldn't see
evidence of his bad driving. Either way, I'm glad that you
stopped getting junk mail or he started driving better.
We got Sarah. Who?
Sarah jumped in. Ballot Pat.
I can't. I need spaces or any time to
decipher usernames. I haven't either.

(29:02):
What Ellen drinks is. I reported a transport truck
running past the school bus withthe lights on.
I didn't realize that they can lay charges based on my
statement. They can.
They would ask you to come in for evidence.
And if you have video, that would be supporting.
Yeah, that's. That's awesome.
Even if they just gave him a tick on a CVOR that would hurt.

(29:23):
Now what was I going to say? I actually have dash camera of a
transport truck that ran a red light right in front of me.
They were making a right turn though, so apparently that
doesn't matter. You know it matters.
The number of people who don't stop for red lights when they're
making a right turn is astounding.
Pay attention to red lights. Watch how many people do it.
It's disgusting in my opinion. Other people may not care, but I

(29:44):
kind of have a thing about safety.
So really, really bugs me. Hey, Captain Kurt, what's going
on? I see you there.
Hope you're doing well. And oh, what's this?
We got Mr. Steak. Thanks for the Rose.
We're getting a rose from you, dude.
Mr. Steak is an awesome dude from London.
If you're looking for a steak, go see Mr. Steak because he

(30:05):
happens to run a most magical steak place.
And if you want to know where that is, it's Chop Steakhouse,
which I need to go have another tomahawk there.
We've got everyday etiquette. Who says my state requires all
Elio, which is law enforcement officers tryouts to run a 1 1/2
mile run in under 12 minutes. Do you have any ideas?

(30:25):
Oh, this is what to do to train for it.
I'm not a runner and I'm thankful that they did not make
me run a mile and a half another12 because I don't know if I
could have done it. I'm, I'm about the same size I
was when I was a on the road as a copper and running is never
being my friend. What I did do and what the
requirements are in Ontario is the shuttle run the beep test.

(30:46):
So you have to run back and forth at 20 meter Sprint
increasing speed until you want to die.
But I did manage to meet the requirements for that.
I trained specifically by by doing what I don't even know how
I got this idea, but somehow somebody told me that tip and I
went with it. So I would go to the tennis
courts in the building I was living in and I had a rope
marked off so I knew the length and I had the beep test that I

(31:10):
listened to on my Earpods and I would run the 20 meters and
follow the beep test. And when I got too tired to keep
up, instead of stopping and starting again, I waited.
I caught my breath and I jumped back in at whatever speed it was
going. And that is the reason I was
able to pass it. I stopped training to get the
level 4 and and then start againbecause you could do level one

(31:30):
through 4. When I got to the I had to be
able to go faster. And that's what was it's, it's
an NL 2 Max test. Where is a, a 1 1/2 mile run is
an anaerobic test, I would imagine.
And yeah, I'm, I'm or is an aerobic test, whatever it is, I
suck at running. That's why they gave me a car.
And anyway, it's going, I'm going to skip, we'll go on to

(31:51):
the next one. But yeah, just just, I would go
to the running room. I went to the running room to
try and learn how to run better, but I'm not the right guy for
running advice. Melody wants to know if
Waddell's going to have a drone recording his pitch.
No, because the Toronto police are very actively talking to
people who fly in the no fly zone.

(32:12):
There is a no Tam. You cannot fly anywhere near the
game. They're they, they, I think they
arrested or charged eight or nine people at the last event.
They are not playing oh, Melody says you should see what they
have to do with E VS that have damaged batteries with this is
on the topic of thermal runaway.Yeah, we have tow facilities

(32:35):
like car lots where tows towed vehicles are put firefighter
like they they have dunk tanks, full tanks to submerge these
batteries, these cars with thosebatteries that will just
continue to burn underwater. It's it's it's scary.
It's like scary. But I will tell you that they,
they, they, they tend to go up on smoke a lot less frequently
than the media will let you may have you believe.

(32:57):
And Speaking of EVs, have you seen the funky Volkswagen
minivan from Back to the Future? But in, in the future, the new
ID Buzz. I test drove.
I didn't test I I drove one withmy buddy Brian Max, who was
evaluating it, and I fell in love with it.
It is a funky little toy and I'mseriously contemplating buying

(33:20):
one. Even though they just halted
production. It's really cool.
I fit in every one of the rows, including the back.
The 3rd row I fit with lots of leg room.
I, I was, I was astonished and just for that alone, I want to
buy 1A vehicle. I fit in with copious amounts of
spare space. I very, very impressed, very,

(33:41):
very hockey Dad 91 says With regards to the running, I first
failed the shuttle run when I joined the Navy.
I, I just stationary biked and ran every day and I passed it
two weeks later. Well, that's good.
Yeah. I'm trying to get back into
shape. I I'm really working hard.
I'm doing push ups. I'm doing sit ups.
I'm doing, what else am I doing?I'm doing quarter stuff.

(34:05):
I'm doing planks. I hate planks.
I did planks with my my kiddos. I we do it all together.
FM promotions. What's going on?
I I got to call you my brother. Yeah, just the Segway FM
Promotions, if you need embroidery, if you need custom
clothing for your company or your teams, talk to them.
They're awesome. They're in Woodbridge.

(34:25):
I've been dealing with them since 1999 and they are a family
run business. They're just absolutely awesome.
And apparently my my wife wants me to wear a new shirt that says
better traffic, seats and education on it.
And that's why I got to call FM Promotions to make those shirts.
If you ever see me with my my Voice over cop jacket, that's
where I got it. Just just.

(34:46):
And it's not, this is not a paidpromotion.
They're just awesome and they'regood friends.
OK. Oh, Bernhardt's got a dad joke.
How am I going to cut and paste this?
Let's see if the cut and paste between machines works.
Now. If you got a dad joke, drop them
in the comments and we'll play them at the end of the show.
Let's see if this works. Oh, it's going to work.

(35:07):
Aha. Awesome, that wasn't working
originally. So if for anyone who's not being
following or new to the show, not only should I introduce
myself again, my name is Sean Shapiro.
I'm a former police officer who talks about Traffic Safety,
traffic law, and police stuff. But I'm also a new owner of a
Mac mini, so I've been running the whole show for ages on a

(35:31):
laptop on a MacBook Pro. But I wanted to have a
consistent machine that would run the live streaming.
And now I have one. It's a Mac mini, which is a very
cost effective dedicated machinewhich happens to have AM/4
processor and handles the live streaming with ease.
Just saying. Jacob Armstrong does not like
the speed limits. He says they're outdated as you

(35:54):
know what he's going to say. He says the speed limits are
outdated. How are they updated?
How are they outdated? I should say, because they've
been updating them quite aggressively and they're
reducing the speeds now highwaysthat are 110 kilometers in some
areas of Ontario, but 100 kilometers an hour for the most
part is the maximum. Why is that outdated?

(36:14):
How much faster do you think youneed to go?
Let me know. I'm serious.
I'm asking the question and in, in, in areas surrounding
communities when they're 403040 and 50 is that, which is by the
way, the new speed limits in many of those areas, is that
outdated when that's actually newer?
So I think you're saying it's too slow, but outdated is

(36:35):
inaccurate. So is it too slow?
Not if you're a pedestrian getting hit.
The reason for the lower speed limits is to allow you the
better chance of surviving beingstruck by a motor vehicle.
And in a day where we have so many, and I mean a day, a time,
a time in the world where so many people are so out to lunch
driving that it's shocking to see, like every other car,

(36:59):
people are just on their phones because they're addicted.
Yeah, they, they have a FOMO, right.
If you're missing out, they can't put the phone down.
What they need to do is tune into something good on the
radio. If you don't like regular radio,
do what I do. SiriusXM is what I tune into and
I I just did a campaign with them.
I totally support the fact that you get high quality music,

(37:20):
podcasts, talk, I Howard Stern all day long.
It's where I TuneIn when I'm driving.
Simple, put the phone away. And maybe if more people did
that we wouldn't have to reduce the speed limits to 30 because
people are so at lunch messing around with their phones.
But no, I I think they're absolutely supportive of being
at the appropriate speed. Does window tints affect .0?

(37:47):
Are there points on your licensefor Demera points?
I sorry I had to decipher what you're asking.
No, there's no Demera points foryour for your license and
equipment charge. That said, it will definitely or
could very well impact your insurance because any ticket can
impact your insurance. People worry about points
because they think it's going tocost them more money with their

(38:08):
insurance, but the truth is theyspend a lot of time negotiating
away the demerit points. But demerit points only track
your license, so they can give you a suspension.
Yeah, the real thing is the conviction.
So the answer is no points on tickets, 10 tickets.
But you, you can certainly have bad things happen to your

(38:30):
insurance regardless. Also, if you don't disclose the
fact that you've modified your windows and it's less safe
because of it, they may choose to deny a claim.
That's, you know, just saying, Agoo asks can I turn left at a
green when? What can I learn?
Can I turn left at a green when for left turn green isn't on and
I can turn safely? So you're asking if the

(38:52):
intersection allows, so there's an advanced screen but it's no
longer advanced. Or are you saying there's a red
signal for left turns but everybody else has green, but
it's safe for you to go? So if there's an independent
signal that's displaying a red for left turn, then you cannot
go. If you have an advanced screen
that is no longer advancing, butyou can, it was only for

(39:13):
advanced signal and you can still legally turn then, then I
think we've answered this. So it depends on the
intersection and what is there. User lots of numbers says hi can
I get a noise violation ticket with my classic car?
It has full exhaust, highly modified, possibly unnecessary
noise if it's determined that your vehicle is making noise

(39:35):
that is unnecessary for the safeoperation of the vehicle.
Now, if your, if your classic vehicle has, you know, a exhaust
system that is equivalent to what was available when it was
manufactured, like possibly a stray pipe or wouldn't need to
have a muffler. But if your vehicle has a
muffler, but it's being gutted to make it noisier, then it

(39:57):
could absolutely get a, a ticketfor either an improper exhaust
or but you said it has a full exhaust, so I'm assuming it has
the appropriate system. It's just noisier or more free
breathing. Well, here's the thing.
And from my experience, this is how I'd handle it.
If the vehicle was being driven responsibly and correctly, just
happened to be a little throatier, a little a little
rumblier, that's totally reasonable.

(40:19):
But if you're revving it to be ajerk, then you're probably going
to get the ticket. Oh, we got a hockey dad dad
joke. Hang on, hang on, hang on.
Come on. Come on.
So now that I cut and pasted, leave my mouse here.
Where's my mouse? Oh, there's my mouse.

(40:45):
Oh, come on. Where'd you go?
I'm so confused. I've lost the mouse.
The mouse is not responding. Wake up.
Wake up. There's something going funky.
There's something really funky with the.
OK. Anyway, I'm not having a Oh,
it's not pair. I don't know what's going on.
I'll just read the dad joke fromthe chat, I guess.

(41:05):
Oh, OK, we're back. OK.
No, things weren't working. Now they're working.
I cannot understand. And maybe that's because I'm not
a computer programmer, you know,or engineer.
I just usually the Mac is a psychic device that just works.
We'll flag the dad joke for later.
Cool awesome. back-to-back to the world here C8911 says Sup

(41:29):
Spiro, what's going on? Oh, and thanks for the gift.
C 8911 GTS is sends sends a the Halloween, the Jack O Lantern
and a lot of these are new gifts.
I've never seen those those things show up.
But thank you very much. I appreciate it.

(41:50):
Any any gifts that are given go into the the not-for-profit
entity to help fund the show. So I really appreciate your
support. Let's see here.
Can I turn? We talked about that one talked
about that. Can I have an aftermarket
exhaust? That's Deshawn who's asking?
And you can as long as it's meeting the requirements under
the law. You can't have a straight pipe

(42:10):
that's aftermarket. So you could have a more free
breathing. Oh, thanks, Fizzy, who said sent
a TikTok universe. You know, that's up to me.
It's somebody. Why am I getting a notification
that somebody else is getting a gift?
I got distracted. All right, So, yeah,
aftermarket's fine. You can have if you if you
require cats, you got to have cats, but you could have free
breathing cats. That's the thing.
We're dogs. TT sounds 35 says you seem like

(42:33):
a cool cop. I'm a cool ex cop.
Former police officer, retired over a year ago now.
So strange to say that what L engineering says.
I know the rules would never flydowntown Toronto.
I'm thinking of I'm thinking meta glasses or insta 360 go.
I bought a set of meta glasses and gave them to a buddy of mine
who loves them with his new iPhone 17 Pro Max and I don't

(42:57):
the ones that I got were too small.
They were perfect for him. I want to find Meta glasses that
fit my big noggin. But even though I love my
glasses a lot, so I don't know if I would switch, but I kind of
like the ones that have the projection.
I don't know we'll see. Yeah, anything, anything.
The 360 is a great camera too. I used to to get that drone look

(43:17):
by using a a pocket with an extension bolt.
Just saying C911 GTS says most are outside of the uniform when
you don't see them in a position.
What is this? Oh he's saying that most cops
are cool when they're outside ofthe uniform.
You don't see them as a positionof authority.
Yeah. I think a lot of it is

(43:38):
perspective and it's. It's not so much that I'd any
different because I think I'm exactly the same except
occasionally using profanity when I probably shouldn't Yeah.
Otherwise, I I was I nothing's changed my uniform persona.
If you go back and look at my videos prior to I said a lot of
stuff I probably shouldn't have said then too.

(43:58):
What is this what L engineering says Melody.
I will have buddies there that will record it.
Plus the real cameras thinking POV, though.
Yeah, yeah. If you're throwing the first
pitch, brother, that that's something as much as I'm not a
sports fan, that is such an honor and I want to know the
story. We'll have to chat about how
that all came to be. OK, boom, boom, boom.

(44:23):
Oh, the Canadian Grinch says I don't even like driving anymore
because of the chaos out there. I got to tell you that I've,
I've always been a driver like since the day I turned 16.
I, I got my, my learner's permitand I put a video about this
recently. I, I've been driving since I was
16, the day I turned and never did I ever not want to drive.
And now I'm like, I want to drive.

(44:44):
I just don't want to drive into Toronto anymore.
By the way, if you're following,if you're in the live and you're
not following, please follow andplease share the live.
Bring some more people into the party.
It's funny though, Tuesday nights, I guess people were more
accustomed to being in here. We we had 708090 people in the
room on TikTok. We got low numbers today.
Still value appreciate you that you're here just making the

(45:05):
observation. So please do me a favor of of
sending some likes this way withby tapping the screen and and
also share the live if you haven't already.
Much appreciated. OK, Mr. Steak makes very good
points and says the faster you go, the less response time you
have, and that couldn't be more accurate.
People want to go fast because they want to get somewhere
faster. Where they usually end up

(45:25):
getting to is the brake shot because you're hammering the
brakes more frequently, taking more metal off the rotors and
pads and whatnot. Obviously the, you know,
different materials, but he's nogood.
Oh, that's funny. Driver's Ed dad just changed his
name back just for me. Thank you so much.
Driver's Ed Dad, a driving instructor out in Nova Scotia.

(45:47):
My, my, my, Nova Scotia. We got to get you on the show
there. Driver's Ed Dad, you can play
that. You could.
Maybe we should get you a video to play every show.
You some some bugle, right? You do the bugle, right?
I'm not, I'm not forgetting or misremembering, am I?
But hockey dad works too. Dude, I, I don't want to make
you change your name just for that, but I, but I do.
But I now, you know, there's no question that he's the driver's

(46:08):
Ed dad. Listen.
OK to, to do. We got alpha, he says.
Which government office can we request to change no parking
zone around our building by law stuff.
So if it's, if it is it around your building or is it on your
property? On your property, you post your

(46:28):
own signs and you cite the by law for your local jurisdiction
and make sure that it's on the signs that you post.
And then, but if it's, if it's around your, you want to make it
so you can't park around your building.
Change no parking to not no parking or you want to make it
no parking. Either way, talk to your
municipality, talk to your counselor, depending on which

(46:52):
jurisdiction, where are you? Maybe I have more information
for you. And he does play the bugle.
See, we got, we got to talk. We got to, we got to get you
bugling. Melody says.
I go through a lot of radio stations while driving up to
Smith's Falls. This is where satellite radio
would really help you out. Just saying I want to get I, I

(47:13):
had asked them for a, to see if I can get a discount code for my
followers and maybe, maybe we'llget that.
I don't know if it's going to happen or not, but I've asked.
Juju 911 says demeror points areonly for moving violations.
Yes and no. There's a couple that are
equipment related that are stilldemeror points, like like a

(47:33):
speed, like a radar detector. Radar detectors are not in
itself a moving violation really.
It's an equipment violation, right?
You have something you're not supposed to have, but it has
demeror points. Hi Tracy, how you doing?
And Jerry says, can I ask you a question?
And of course you can. That's what we're at.
So I'm here for. It's the whole point of the
that's what I do. So by all means, send questions

(47:55):
my way. Melody prefers driving on the
Backcountry roads. Where there's roads where
there's very few people. I think the country's just the
place to be. Now, I have been a city kid
because I was born and raised inToronto and I never thought I'd
want to live. In fact, I made fun of my
friends who moved north of the city and then I moved further

(48:16):
north than them and I'm not far enough.
I want to be like I, I, I, I arrested someone on my driveway
when I lived in Toronto and I'm just north of the border now and
just into that, that next littleplace north of I, I, I don't
want to arrest people on my driveway.
Well, that would be citizen's arrest, whatever.

(48:37):
So boom, boom, boom, six hours, six hours away.
OK, let's see what's going on here.
What time is it, by the way? 10 or 9 minutes, 9 minutes more
on Etobicoke. So I would call 311.
This is Alpha who's talking about getting it changed outside
of the building. So yeah, I would contact 311 to

(48:58):
see what's cooking in terms of making a request.
But ultimately you got to talk to your, to your representative,
your, your, your, your person, your counselor and, and talk to
them. And like I, I, when I was living
with my parents, we were having a problem with people parking in
front of our house for, for the school down the street.

(49:19):
We called, we complained, we, wetalked about the issue, they
monitored the issue. They put up signs.
I had a no parking sign directlyin front of my house, which
screwed me over, you know, once in a while when I had friends
over, but it was, it was fantastic for, because it was
the people would invade the street.
You couldn't drive down the street because of all the
parking. Captain Kurt wants to know if
speed camera tickets from cameras affect your points.

(49:41):
No speeding cameras are part of a different charge.
That is owner responsibility is to the registered owner of the
vehicle and has nothing to do with the driver, which is one of
the reasons people are so upset by them.
How dare you come after me when you don't even know I was the
one driving, even though I'm theonly one who has the keys.
You shouldn't be allowed to do it.
I only want tickets from police officers.
I hear that all the time. Speeding cameras are financial

(50:03):
only. And I think that's what pisses
people off so much that it's a cash grab.
But I am totally supportive of the fact that the grab is
happening on people who are breaking the law.
And if you say, well, I wasn't speeding, it was my kid, my
cousin, my brother, be more selective as to who you let
drive your vehicle. And you know who's driving your
vehicle at all times, right? You keep track of your vehicle
responsible for it. So just saying.

(50:25):
Yeah, we had an interesting conversation, Captain Kirk and I
sorry, Captain Kirk, not Kirk. It's not a Trekkie, our trekker.
Anyway, we had an interesting conversation when we connected
the last week about he might have had a couple of tickets,
but it was a good conversation. Let's see here we got here.

(50:49):
Alpha, you're very welcome. See, Spartan says hi Mr.
Shapiro. So in Quebec it's only one
plate. If I drive into Ontario, will I
get a ticket? No, if you get one, it's because
the officer doesn't know that you're not eligible for one.
So the Ontario law is written saying you have to display 2
plates. However, there's an exemption
for jurisdictions outside of Ontario that don't require 2

(51:11):
plates. So that ticket is only eligible
for Ontario registered vehicles,or at least vehicles that have
two plates. So if you had a New York plate
which requires 2 plates, I guessyou could leave that charge, but
you probably wouldn't. Just saying and Namerup wants to
know name. Namerup says.
Do speed cameras monitor both sides of the street or just the

(51:35):
side of the street that it's placed on?
My understanding is that it is only as you pass it and it's
only the rear plate that it's capturing and that's the way
they're designed as far as I understand.
I could be wrong. And ultimately what you should
do is not speed. Regardless of whether or not you
think you're going to get a ticket for being speeding
passionate, you know, don't break the law.
Don't have to worry. Driver said that says you could

(52:00):
have to put a no park. What is this?
You could have put a no parking specific time sign.
I don't know what we're talking about.
I don't know. Is this about the about the no
parking around the building discussion?
I don't know Ish. What is this Ish says?

(52:21):
Can I give my car to my friend to drive if he has a driver's
license from another province? Yes, you can loan your vehicle
to a licensed driver who's qualified to drive that class of
vehicle. So if your friend has the
equivalent of AG class license, they're here visiting, they're
licensed and no issues, then youcan.
Now if it turns out that the license is suspended, you are

(52:41):
permitting an unlicensed driver to drive, you're going to be
eligible. Your insurance will cover them.
It's a whole a whole regular morole.
Don't do that. But you can lend someone a
vehicle if they're properly licensed and you're lending your
insurance when you do that too. So be aware.
Oh, the no parking sign in frontof my I could just yeah, I guess

(53:03):
like could I have? I couldn't have erected it, but
it but it was the city who did it.
Maybe it maybe interesting they did.
So it wasn't specific. I didn't choose what sign they
put, but they did it during school months only and maybe it
was specific time. I haven't paid attention to that
in a while now. I understand what he's talking
about. OK, Reese Connolly says.

(53:26):
I say if you let someone else drive your car and they get a
camera ticket, make them pay forit 100 percent, 100%.
And I'm pretty selective as to who I let drive my vehicle.
I'm I'm, I'm sorry, I will not lend it to everyone.
I have a select group of friendswho I know value their stuff as
much as they value my stuff, so they lend me theirs.
I lend because I have a friend who's got, I had to put my truck

(53:48):
in the in the shop. He had a spare.
He let me use it. It's great if he needs to move
stuff and he needs a bigger vehicle.
I've lent him my truck. It's just what it is.
We trust each other, trust the people.
Now I have another friend. He has to borrow my larger car.
Many years ago he had a an RX7. I had a Buick Park Ave. and you
can imagine it's larger comparedto the RX7, but by no means a a

(54:09):
a a large vehicle. He called me when he got stopped
at the border. He drove to the states.
They were brought in for secondary search.
They found ammunition in the trunk like or or empty shells
and and targets because I went to the gun club and and then the
empty brass because I used to reload my own ammo.
I was into Ipsec shooting and hegot he got punished.

(54:34):
He was there for hours serves him right.
But anyway, I drove an RX7 for the day.
That was fun a Wankel. Anyway, I know what a Wankel is.
I do and you might too. OK, let's see here dude, we got
oddly enough, he moved from one platform he went from.

(54:56):
I just answered your question, brother.
You were over on Instagram. I responded and you missed it so
you got to go back to play the play.
We just talked about it. I feel silly now.
OK, what do we got here? People who hold up, what is
this? KJ Jones says.
People who hold up the fast laneon the four O 1, do you think
they should be pulled over for impeding traffic?

(55:18):
What speed are we talking about? Are they doing the speed limit?
Are they doing 100? Because if they're doing 100 in
the fast lane, they're doing thespeed limit.
Now I will be honest, I know that people are going to speed
and the person who wants to do 100 is actually going to become
a speed bump or cause a collision because all of the
people who are breaking the law have to or choose to pass them

(55:40):
on the right. Just stay to the right.
If you're going to do the speed limit, stay to the right.
You're probably the slowest moving vehicle on the on the
road. Let the police pull over and
charge the people who choose to speed.
That said, no one should speed. I don't speed.
I stay to the right and I becomethat vehicle that everyone's
annoyed by, by following the law.
There is no law that permits youto speed unless you're a police

(56:01):
officer in the lawful execution of their duty or you're a
police. Sorry.
A fire or ambulance responding to a call or transporting a, a
patient in the case of an ambulance, that's very specific.
So, yeah, I, I, I, I would rather give a ticket to the
speeder than the person doing the lawful speed limit because
it's wrong to me to go after theperson who's, you know, in the

(56:22):
wrong lane not being the fastest.
But I will tell you that there are police services like the LBP
who will charge you for doing the speed limit in the left lane
because they see it as a, as a bigger threat to safety.
I acknowledge it's a threat to safety, but they should be
actively hammering anyone who goes above the posted speed
limit. We shouldn't in society allow

(56:43):
breaking of the law and say, ah,it's only 20 over.
Shouldn't, no one should go overthe speed limit.
And I, and frankly, I think it'sgoing to come to the point where
we lose the ability, the choice to go faster because I think
cars are going to have limiters that are, that are strictly
controlled by Geo geofencing, new technology and, and the more
autonomous vehicles we get on the road, eventually no one's
going to go anywhere because every other vehicle is going to

(57:03):
be a Tesla doing the speed limit.
Yeti Yeti Yeti says, what's the chance of my no insurance
getting, sorry, my no insurance ticket getting cancelled?
Well, do you have proof of that you had insurance?
Because if you didn't have insurance, I can tell you you're
screwed. Probably because the insurance

(57:24):
companies, they send a witness to court and they bring
recordings of if there was a conversation, they will have a
recording of the fact that you did not put insurance on or that
you, you know, that you didn't pay your bill.
And they'll have copies of the registered mail.
You will be in trouble now if you just didn't have insurance
because you didn't have insurance.

(57:46):
Yeah. Oh, by the way, Ish says that he
missed the response on Instagram.
You can watch the entire replay on YouTube and all the episodes,
hundreds and hundreds of episodes.
This is like episode 86 for thisyear.
Well, anyway, they're all available on the the tube of
you. But just to answer your
question, you can lend your friend your vehicle if you are a

(58:07):
if he's a licensed driver or they're a licensed driver for
the class of vehicle. But you're also lending your
insurance. So be wary of the fact that
either insurance has got to be sorry, their driver's license
has to be valid or otherwise youcould be charged for letting
someone who's not legally printed to operate a vehicle
operate your vehicle. That's part of your liability.
But also, if you let an unlicensed driver drive the car,

(58:29):
you're going to be on the hook because the insurance company is
not going to cover it. Decepticons forever joined and
welcome to you, my friend. He says, hey, Sean, this weather
is making my head hurt. Sorry.
This weather like it's cooler. I, I, I find, you know, throwing
a jacket on gives me extra pockets.
So I appreciate slightly colder weather for that reason alone,

(58:50):
Tito says, Have you ever seen speeders?
Is that a television show, or are you talking about people who
go fast? I've stopped many and charged
many and seized many vehicles and suspended many licenses for
stunt driving. So I don't know what you mean by
speeders. Decepticons forever likes the
tube of you. Excellent.
And Tito once again says, Have you ever seen speeders?

(59:13):
You don't have to give me more context.
I don't know what you mean. I used to be a traffic officer.
I used to charge speeders. Moving on.
Oh, the pressure barometric pressure change.
It's actually a my understandingis the lowering of the pressure
that causes the issue, not the raising of the pressure.
But I I had it backwards. It was mixy match.
OK. And Reece Connelly says Yeti

(59:36):
Yeti Yeti. You're going to have to pay that
$5000 fine, unfortunately, bro. And $5000 fine is he is the
minimum. It's 5 to $25,000 and it's up to
six months in jail for no insurance.
It's not just five grand. So people people think it's but
I've I've also seen JPS reduce things tremendously and they're

(59:57):
not supposed to like like, oh, well, you know, it's been this
they had paid 5000 or $2000 in towing and storage.
So we're just going to add $3000still fight like they I've seen
some weird math on that. Juju 911 says so when you drive,
you don't go past 100 on the four O 1.
Correct. That is, that's the whole point
of no speeding. I I keep it to the speed limit.
Yeah. What?

(01:00:20):
Oh, Jack wants to know with stunt driving on private
property, does that include doing Donuts on your own farm or
similar? Technically, yes.
Now here's the here's the caveatthere.
It's unlikely that anyone's watching you do it.
But if there was a complaint andthe police were there or they
just happened to be there and you got caught, you could be
charged. Whether it's a farm car with no
plates, nothing. It's still a motor vehicle.

(01:00:43):
A private part. The heck doing a wheelie with
your dirt bike on private property qualifies.
Will you get charged with it? Unlikely.
Could you be charged? Absolutely.
You would be eligible. OK, Tracy responded.
There you go. Oh, Yeti, Yeti, Yeti.
So my response to Yeti Yeti Yetimade him feel very sad.

(01:01:05):
No bad, he says, I don't even have a job.
Here's the deal. OK, let's break this down.
You go to court and if you're guilty and you take
responsibility and you're pleading guilty.
Now I'm not telling you to pleadguilty if you're innocent, But
if you are guilty and you talk to the prosecutor and say,
listen, I screwed up and I screwed up big, but I'm going to

(01:01:26):
take responsibility. But I have no money and I have
no job and I have no hope. So what am I going to do?
I want to pay, I want to make bends.
What can I do? They'll say we can give you a
year to pay monthly, whatever the fine it like they'll work
with you. Tell them what's going on in
your life. Times are tough.
I'm not saying that like my goalwhen I say people should be
charged and held accountable isn't so you lose your money.

(01:01:48):
It isn't so you lose your job. It isn't so you so you're sad.
It's so you change your behavior.
The consequence, the risk of getting caught should be enough
to change your behavior. So you don't do the thing and
then you don't get caught because you didn't do it.
You don't get charged. None of the mess.
If you just drive clean, if you just drive legally, so much crap

(01:02:08):
can be avoided. It's much better.
And that's what I really hope people do.
My, my, my goal. And, and people say why You just
want to hammer people and take money.
I don't want to take money. I want you to not want to lose
your money enough that you don'tdo the thing that would lose the
money. You know what I'm it's called
being this, These charges, theseconsequences are to dissuade you

(01:02:29):
to not do the thing. That's what I want.
I want people to not do the thing, Donovan the Donut says.
I visited Toronto last year and was appalled by all the rash
drivers on the DVP and Gardner. It is a mess.
It is a mess. Let's see here Decepticons
forever since I drive the speed limit and people call me a

(01:02:50):
grandpa. I I I'm with you and I drive a
big truck. Big trucks take big gas.
Big gas can be reduced or the amount of big gas you waste is
how you heavily you treat the gas pedal.
If you don't accelerate fast, ifyou're not riding, you know much
over the speed, the slower you go, depending on this sweet
spots. But if you're following the

(01:03:11):
speed limits and you're not accelerating, you know abruptly
you're you're going to maintain a better fuel economy overall.
Set it and forget it. That's what the the automated
magical What's it called cruise controls for?
OK, why aren't speed cameras on the DVP and Gardner?

(01:03:34):
They used to be. We used to have a speed camera
system that was run under the trunk of a minivan.
We had police officers all over the place running photo radar.
Of course people got upset. They got caught for stuff back
then the government got rid of it because people were
complaining and they wanted the votes.
Same crap going on now where they're going to trade Traffic
Safety for votes because people don't like getting caught.

(01:03:54):
I think we should have cameras on every single Rd. in the
province. Every red light should have a
camera. Every stop sign should have a
camera. Just follow the freaking law and
no one will get a ticket. But people go, no, it's not
reasonable man. I want to run stop signs.
I want to run lights. I want to run like there's this
is not logical. And then you know, we have the
mayor of Vaughn and the premier of Ontario who say, well, you

(01:04:14):
know, someone shouldn't get dinged for doing a couple over.
Why not? When is when is doing a little
crime or a little violation OK, but a big violation?
Then we're going to pay attention.
Why is 10 over OK, but 20 over not or is 20 over OK?
Why do we have speed limits at all if we're not going to
enforce them? A law that isn't enforced is a
suggestion. That is my point.

(01:04:37):
Enforce them all 0 tolerance people will or should actually
follow them. The speed limit is not a
starting point. It is not the minimum speed you
do on the road. It is the maximum.
So doing 98 and 100, totally reasonable.
That's what you should do. You should aim to be close to
but not exceeding this posted speed limit.
I don't know why people don't know this, but anyway, it

(01:04:59):
frustrates the crap out of me because we've created an
environment where everyone thinks it's OK to go real real
fast and then real real slow or the speed limit seems
obnoxiously slow. Here's the thing.
I do 50 and I'm like feels pretty quick because I'm used to
going 40 and 30 in subdivisions.SO50 feels like, wow, I'm really
moving. And if you get used to going

(01:05:19):
slower, suddenly slower doesn't feel slow and you're not getting
anywhere much faster. And then in a built up community
and environment, in a, in a urban environment, you're,
you're not getting anywhere faster.
You're just going faster than slowing down again, bring out
your brakes and burning gas. Just saying.
What do you got here? Do you need to wear a seat belt
in a parking lot going to another parts store?

(01:05:41):
Captain Kirk wants to know. Technically, the offense for
seat belt is not enforceable on private property.
So no, you do not have to wear your seat belt.
Although I would suggest always wearing your seat belt because
oddly enough, collisions occur on private property and
protecting yourself is just something that's good for you.
And I hate the sound of Ding Ding, Ding drive.
That's the worst sound in the world.

(01:06:02):
Worst sound in the world, even worse than the fart can mufflers
or the the weird gurgly tuned verbal bananas, Tracy says.
I'm happy our mayor in Ottawa isfighting to keep speed cameras
in school zone. Hell yeah.
It's amazing. I love that leaders are standing
up for the communities because they're the ones who are smart
enough to care about people. The ones who are caring about

(01:06:23):
votes are selfish. The ones who are caring about
people want speed limits enforced.
Amir Amir Amir. Can you get a ticket for
flipping off a cop? If you just want the telephone
number, just ask. No, giving some of the finger is
not a ticketable offense. You can be a rude prick if you
want to be. No reason to do that, just

(01:06:44):
that's just childish. Cool 333 ski says what is the
tolerance for someone who speed thinking there's a car in
kilometers whilst being in milesSorry, you're driving so if
you're driving in miles you're not speeding you're going real
slow oh sorry vice versa if you're well you'll be going real

(01:07:05):
fast. 6060 yeah, yeah. OK, I have to think about that
because I had someone who is Oh no, it was the other way.
I so I was thinking back to a story where I heard someone was
doing 60 in a 60 and they were going really.
Really. So they had gone to the States.
I was completely flipping that story on its ass.
No, the story is that they were Canadians who drove in the
States. And I'm wondering why everyone
in the States drive so slow. Yeah, that's I don't think it's

(01:07:27):
going to fly doing 100 and a 60.It would feel unsafe.
I would hope it would feel unsafe.
They would get charged. Yeah, They, they, they.
There's no excuse for that. Velvet Thunder says leaders are
standing up for revenue, not community.
I disagree with you, my friend. I I respectfully disagree.

(01:07:47):
It's not about revenue. You don't get a ticket if you
don't break the law. I just attended a virtual
presentation that was put on by the IT was presented by sick
kids hospital who did a study and have support.
They, they have supporting evidence that people slow down,
that that crash, the crash numbers go down, that

(01:08:10):
survivability goes up. People actually want to to avoid
getting tickets so much that they slow down.
And school zones are safer because of traffic cameras.
You can point the finger and pretend that you're right, but
doesn't make you right. All the information supports
that traffic cameras slow peopledown effectively.

(01:08:31):
Now not every law. Listen drugs.
Drug laws don't stop drug addicts and drug dealers, right?
Speeding doesn't. Speed limits don't stop all
speeders. Traffic cameras don't stop all
speeders. Firearms laws don't stop illegal
firearms use. Like what don't we get here?

(01:08:53):
If it is effective for the majority, even if you want to
say half and half is still pretty good.
And if you don't want to be the half that gets dinged for a
ticket, don't break the freakinglaw.
But to suggest to suggest you take away the thing that's
effective on half the people. So now everybody speeds up.
Why? Because you're offended that you
get caught. Get out of here.

(01:09:16):
What counts as stunt driving? There's like 15 different
things, 13 to 15 different things.
So speeding 50 over in a in a speed zone 80 and above 150
anywhere or 40 over in a speed zone under 80.
That's the one that everyone talks about, but a mark
departure from the other vehicles.
So if you, you know, hammer downand everyone's doing 40, but you

(01:09:37):
do 607080, whatever, just weaving through traffic, cutting
through, even if you're not doing the 40 over your marked
departure from other traffic, that's stunt driving.
Having someone riding in your trunk is stunt driving.
Having someone, if you get out of the, if you slide over to the
passenger seat or do some kind of weird silliness with the
vehicle in motion so there's no driver in the driver's seat that

(01:09:58):
stunt driving. If you actively and and
intentionally try and prevent someone from changing lanes,
that stunt driving. If you hit the gas and you break
traction in a turn, you are to to fishtail or to donut.
That is stunt driving. So there's a ton of them and you
can read them all online. I'm here wants to know you got a

(01:10:18):
whole bunch of good questions here.
What do cops pay less attention to minivans and SUVs.
They look for violators. If you're violating the law,
doesn't matter what you're driving, you're going to be
noticed. Now, obviously if you're in a
Lambo, you're not moving and you're being, you have all eyes
on you, so anything you do is going to catch more attention.
So I guess to some degree there's less eyes on you in a

(01:10:42):
minivan. But if you're doing $1.20 and a
60, you're still getting pulled over because I can't tell what
the vehicle is when you're 500 meters away. 4 kids in a
Porsche. Good to see you brother.
Exit ramp from highway and two right lanes allow right turns to
enter Rd. Can you right turn on red light
from 2nd lane? So yes, yes you can.
If you are making a right turn on a red and there's two right

(01:11:05):
turn lanes, both lanes are eligible for right turn on red.
And there's one caveat A. It has to not be signed
prohibiting those turns. And B, you have to go into the
appropriate lanes. So curb lane to curb lane and
the one beside curb lane into the lane that results in the one
beside the curb lane. So they both go into their

(01:11:25):
respective lanes. And that would be legal.
And it really messes with people.
They don't realize it and they honk and they get freaked out.
And I love it because it gets mepast everybody else who thinks
they have to be in the curb lane.
The Decepticons forever says I really hate those shitheads that
pass school buses when the red lights are flashing.
IA 100% agree with you. And that's why there's been a

(01:11:47):
modification to the Highway Traffic Act to allow school bus
cameras to actually do enforcement.
And I hope they make it to the entire province.
I think they're still in testingmode, but I would love to see
them on every school bus. And anyone who passes the school
bus should be held accountable and it's an owner of
responsibility, same as an automated speed enforcement
camera. But I think that's the most
worthy of all because we're talking about protecting lives,

(01:12:09):
kids and kids lives, lives, kidsand kids lives.
It's the most important thing because I believe the children
are the future. Where's that Whitney Houston
anyway? What's the weirdest thing you
had to pull someone over for? I don't know, weirdest thing I
have to think about that. I don't know.

(01:12:29):
I don't really keep a catalog ofeverything I've ever done.
Nothing stands out as super weird.
Most of the things I focused on were, were, were speed and and
and safety. So I mean, I, I will.
Well, I, I pulled over a guy forhaving one head let out.
He lost his mind. He he screamed, he freaked out,

(01:12:49):
and then he went to the police station to complain after the
fact about the fact that he gaveit to you.
It wasn't the way he reacted wasweird.
He apparently he thought it wasn't fair but Derek I have to
think about that. I have to think about that for
another time. Have you ever gotten back up on
the bike? Have you ever gotten back up on
the bike? This is driver said that asking

(01:13:11):
that. So for anyone who doesn't know
my history with the police service.
I got hit by a car, or was it a collision on duty on a police
motorcycle. And I have not ridden other than
like 20 feet. Not because I don't want to ride
because my family's scared to death of me getting back on a
motorcycle and I don't want to give them stress.
That is the story totally. I, I, I, I love riding, but I

(01:13:35):
acknowledge that I am a, an important figure in my family.
They kind of like me and they're, they don't deserve to
be tortured by the, the, the fact that they, they, they've
been to the hospital, They've, they've rushed to see me in a
situation which they didn't think I was going to live
through. So I'm very happy that I'm still
here. Let's see here.
Michael Frye says if you pulled someone over and they said

(01:13:57):
nothing and flashed an out of state badge, do you let them go?
No, I want to. If it's an out of state badge, I
have to still make sure that they are who they say they are.
Badges are available on eBay. You can't believe everything.
Have a conversation. But first of all, the fact that
they would just say nothing is suspect to me.
And yeah, you say out of state to me, that's out of province

(01:14:20):
and out of province police officer is not a police officer
in Ontario. So you, you're sworn in for the
province that you work in, right?
I was an Ontario officer. My authority was anywhere in
Ontario. If you were showing me a badge
for a different jurisdiction, you are not a cop here.
You can say brotherhood, whatever.
I don't know who you are and I want to know who you are.

(01:14:41):
So I wouldn't investigate. It would have to be a hell of a
story to to to I have this I'm abadge.
No, that that kind of attitude doesn't fly too easy.
B58 says you know what's so funny?
I got summoned for front plate today an hour after I saw your
video. He says he says US BMW drivers.

(01:15:04):
That's funny. So I put up a video.
If you haven't seen it, go checkout the channel.
It was a clip from the October 8th video live stream that I put
up and I'm going to try and clipmore of these.
I've really gotten bad at not posting clips because I think
there's some great content that we get out of these live streams
from great questions that you ask.
So that's why it's so awesome and has lasted so long while
doing what I do. But I put up a video which was a

(01:15:26):
clip about people getting summonsed, which means no, not a
ticket that you can pay and justforget about.
No longer $110. It's a summons, meaning you go
to court and you explain to the court why you don't like
following laws. So really funny and sorry, I
guess that you that you saw the video and then got a ticket for
it. But I do try and warn people and

(01:15:47):
oddly enough, I have a lot of followers who are police
officers. So maybe I inspired your your
summons. Maybe what jurisdiction was it?
Was it was it in Toronto? Any way you cut it, maybe put a
front plate on as a tow hook adapter.
Maybe because that's there's no excuse tow hook adapter.
Just do it. Let's see here.

(01:16:07):
We got Angel or not says you're awesome.
Thank you. We got Melody, who says my
sister drives a school bus occasionally got hit by a snow
plow recently, recently in the summer.
Explain that one to me. Tracy says teach them well and
let them lead the way. Finishing finishing the the

(01:16:30):
song. Yeah.
OK, good. What's the regulations for
dealership plates? Has to be in the inventory of
the dealership. So it has it has to be in their
inventory available for sale in order to use a dealership plate.
OK. There was no snow.
It was a nice sunny day, but thesnow snow plow was moving
equipment preparing for the the doom of of winter.

(01:16:51):
And then took them out and took out the school bus.
Ouch. And as Melody says, I hope,
sorry. As Tracy says, the Melody, I
hope your sister's OK. That's not cool.
Let's see here too easy. B58 says they ACC crack They
they act cracking down the summoning got at least thirty of

(01:17:12):
them. Not a single conviction.
You had 30 summons or tickets. 30 tickets for no front plate.
Holy moly. And it was peel.
Oh brothers and sisters in Peel.I I have I have some good
friends in Peel. I'm glad that they're actually
cracking. Listen there, there's no way

(01:17:34):
that someone should have 30 tickets for no front plate and
just keep paying. First of all, are you, oh,
you're saying no convictions. That's, that's, that's lame.
I don't know why there's no convictions.
Why were they thrown out? Why, why were they tossing
these? And he says not a flex, but
unfortunately user no name, no icon says how long does it take

(01:17:55):
to become a cop? If I wanted to apply, just
graduate to high school last year.
The process for application if you're successful is about 6
months on average. But that just gets you like
hired and maybe at the college about six months later once
you're hired and through the college till you're like on your
own. And then it's a lifetime of
learning. It's, it's really a job that

(01:18:15):
never stays the same and cost and updates and things you need
to learn. So it's, it's the best job in
the world. I, I highly recommend it and
good luck to you if you decide to go down that path.
But if you just finished high school, you're probably not
going directly to the police college because life experience
is kind of important. 24, I'd say is probably the earliest

(01:18:36):
2024 there. There's some young ones getting
in, but often like the average used to be 30 when I got in,
they liked in in fact, and and what what what the instructors
say when I got in, they say we'dlike to see a little Gray in the
beard, you know, ideally, let's see here.
Oh, Decepticons forever was justrecalling the the the collision

(01:18:59):
and four kids in the Porsche wants to know if I ever pulled
anyone over for throwing garbageout their window.
I absolutely did littering with something that really bugs me or
bugged me then and still bugs menow.
But I got the trifecta. I got a guy who threw a
cigarette out the window while using his cell phone and he
wasn't wearing his seat belt. Oh, sorry, it was 4 was a four.
He ran a stop sign, ran a stops.I mean, I can't remember now.

(01:19:21):
I, I, I, I, I should have framedthis, but it was a number of
tickets. And I distinctly remember cell
phone cigarettes. And it was at a stop sign that
was monitoring. So maybe it was the stop sign or
it was the seat belt or anyway, yeah, I, I wrote the littering
ticket. Absolutely.
I can be petty too. I I hate littering.

(01:19:46):
And asking for a friend that's four kids in a Porsche.
OK, going back here. I'm going to try try and wrap up
somewhere to do dad jokes. So last call for dad jokes, if
you got them, share them. I got 2 on the 2 ready to go for
when we shut her down. Also, if you're new to the show
and you don't know how often I do this, it's Tuesdays and
Wednesdays. Tuesdays at 10 AM now, new time.
We reversed it used to be Tuesdays at 9:00 PM and then I

(01:20:08):
would go 10 AM the next day. Well, I got smart after a year
of doing this, of being tired onWednesday morning.
I now do Tuesday mornings and then Wednesday nights it's
better. Cody wants to know if the MTO
offer info sessions for businesses.
I am not aware. I'm not aware of that And too

(01:20:29):
easy. B58 says yeah, 30 tickets for no
front plate. It's bad.
But again, it's a hook adapter. What is this Yeti Yeti Yeti.
Can individuals from dealershipsuse dealership plate for
personal use? You can so many of them take
home vehicles and they can do that if the vehicle is available
for sale. You can't have the same car for
a year. It's not available for sale.
It's obviously in use, but is that something that we can

(01:20:53):
determine is happening? There's nothing that says you
can't take it home overnight. There's something in my eye,
apparently. But yeah, I would like what is
personal use. One of the things we have to go
look at the ACT. Do me a favor, send me an
e-mail. It's voice over cop@gmail.com.
I'll I'll go into a deep dive into what it is.
Maybe we'll make a video about it.

(01:21:15):
What we got here. They ask you to resolve the
issue and it's like pinky promise and oh, OK, So the
reason he got out of the 30 tickets is because they said
please put the front plate on. He said, oh, Tay, I will.
And then he didn't. And then he got a ticket again.
And he said they said please do it.
And then he said, OK, I will 28 more times anyway.

(01:21:35):
Yeah. So that's how you got away with
it. I guess they're they're annoyed
because you probably single handedly made Peel regional
police write more tickets and now maybe they're holding them,
you know, drivers more accountable all on your because
of you. Yeah.
OK. Moving on.
Takes about a year and a half for early a year and a half for

(01:21:56):
early resolution. Oh my goodness, Andrew Best says
what happens if I got a disobey officer directing traffic
ticket, but the cop was sitting in his car.
I think you're going to have an interesting conversation in
court and the officer is going to have to articulate how he was
directing traffic while waving his arm out the window.
I, I, that doesn't sound like directing traffic to me, but,
you know, I, I don't know where and what and so on.

(01:22:19):
So, yeah, that's not how I direct traffic.
I used to flap my arms like I was trying to take off.
I, I, I would do paid duties at construction sites and come home
and, like, want to ice my arms. I, you have no idea how active
you are when you're, you know, sitting there throwing signs all
day long trying to tell cars what to do and being absolutely
frustrated while people ignore the direction and get it wrong.

(01:22:40):
But anyway, yeah, I, I, I, yeah,I've also come back hoarse
because when they don't listen to the waving of the hands, the
yelling would happen. And I I can yell.
Tracy says, Oh my God, you say Otay and I think of the kid from
Little Rascals. Yeah, I say the darndest things.

(01:23:05):
OK, too easy, B58 says. I always joke with them too.
I say monthly subscription, which was in my video today.
And then he says Ontario Court of Justice is unfortunately so
funny and so sad. Oh my goodness.
Andrew Bassett, Halton police accidentally you turned onto a
closed down Rd. from a collision.
Interesting. OK, all right, I am going to

(01:23:26):
wrap it up. I as much as I enjoy.
Oh, we got the droner. Wayne says good evening.
Yeah, I missed the show, my friend, but that's OK.
We we were here. We were doing stuff and we back
again on Tuesday 10 AM to do it again to dad jokes ready to go.
Oh, because you caught me just. But it's fire.

(01:23:48):
Fire, Tinado says. What's the general speed to
pull? Sorry, what's the general speed
you pull over? Most officers I've asked say 13
over. Interesting.
It's always depends. 13 over is a good #15 over in a 60, I would
charge, not just pull over. 10 over might be a warning.
Depends on how much traffic whatthe the competition was at.

(01:24:09):
Everyone's competing for my attention when I do speed
enforcement, right? If you're doing 10 over and
you're the only one doing 10 over, we'll talk about it.
If everyone's doing 10 over, I'mlooking for 15 over.
Now that that suggests that everyone doing 15 or 10 over,
someone's going to get away withit.
No, I'll take a random lucky contestant and give them the
ticket, even if everyone's doing15 over.
So if I'm doing enforcement, I'mthere to do enforcement, and

(01:24:31):
there shouldn't be a a magic number.
Don't speed at all. That's the rules.
And if you like I, I really, I speak to officers all the time
and I'm trying to, to start a trend.
So many officers will say I onlydo the high Flyers.
I only do stunt drivers. I only do 25 and above on the
highway. And I'm like, OK, if that's your

(01:24:51):
bread and butter, that's what you want to do.
That's where you think it's important, do it.
But one in 10 or one in five, dome a favor and pull them over
for 10 over because that 10 overwill send shock waves into the
community. People will talk about that.
I got a ticket on the four O 1 for 10 over.
Oh my God, They're enforcing thelaw because everyone thinks it's
OK to speed and it's not. So you can be the lucky one in

(01:25:14):
five to get a ticket that you don't think you deserve because
everyone's going faster. You should get the ticket.
They should write the ticket winner winner chicken dinner.
I don't actually know what the reference is from, but everyone
says it. So I, I, I recognize it, but
what is that from? What is the actual origin story?
Roses says hi, I have a questionfor you.
That was a question. No, that was a statement.

(01:25:37):
Do you have a question? Throw the question in.
You're the last question of the night because I said that was
like 2 people ago. Let's see here, I'm going to
queue up. I'm going to I'm going to do the
dad jokes and then if Roses putsthe question up, I will answer.
Oh, fire, fire tornado says, Oh,nice way to look at it.
Thanks. I'm applying to be an MP

(01:25:58):
currently. Right on.
Good luck with that brother. And if you, if you know MP,
great. You know, I, I totally
appreciate, I totally appreciatethat.
And I think that you did have a great career there.
Or you could just apply to be a police officer in a, in a
municipality and just doing it like you don't have to go that

(01:26:18):
route. If you if you have any issues
with MP or if you just want to have another application, talk
to a recruiter with Toronto police or another jurisdiction,
give them a shot. There's a lot of great things
you can do as a as a as a policeofficer.
Juju, 911, says your name shouldbe asked a retired traffic cop.
I am not trying to put myself asa police officer.
The show concept in the show is beyond me.

(01:26:41):
So I am a former police officer, but the show is called Ask a
traffic Cop and it's been that way for five years.
The goal is to have active duty police officers join the show.
They should be the ones answering the question.
I'm the host. I'd love to have coppers join
here. My problem is I have not found
coppers who want to come on to social media and answer the
question. So I've created a

(01:27:01):
not-for-profit. The not-for-profit is to try and
help jurisdictions across Canadaand eventually the United States
do this. I want this to be on its own.
I don't need to be part of it. I'm not trying to be famous, I
just want to get the answers to your questions and I'd rather an
active duty police officer answer them or at least be on
screen with me having the discussion.
If you know a copper who wants to be on the show, by all means

(01:27:22):
get them on here. Tell them to reach out to me.
I would love to have an active duty police officer on screen
with me on every single show. That's the that's the plan.
But I appreciate you asking the question and suggesting it.
You're not alone. I've heard it from other people
and I and I and I don't disagree.
And I had a real problem internally maintaining the show
originally. And I fought with myself.

(01:27:43):
I really thought I'd have more active duty police interest in
being on camera. Most people don't want to do it.
It was a big thing even when I was doing it.
OK, Rosa says. So I went to my I.
So I went to my driver's test for the written once.
I failed because I did it on my phone.
All questions was wrong. I'm not sure I understand you

(01:28:05):
went to do your driver's test for the written 20 questions and
you got them all wrong. That's what you're saying.
Read the book. I am horrible.
I'm a horrible person. I I, I started a project to read
the entire book for the for Ontario drivers.
I started I got like a couple chapters in and I and I had to
stop by being so busy. I want to get that back and

(01:28:28):
going so I can finish helping people who need a little more
assistance with the reading and that's something I'm planning to
do. So check out the YouTube channel
for that. It's voice over cop on YouTube.
You can go to ask a traffic cop.ca lots of information that
you can get there and link to myYouTube channel and and what
not. You can also send me voicemail

(01:28:48):
there. You can links to everything And
that's the thing. So I'm going to life insurance
Canada says thanks for what you do.
Thank you for the thank you. I appreciate you.
But I'm I'm going to read the dad jokes and then we're going
to close down because this is anhour and a half and I said I was
doing an hour tonight. But here I am.
My name is Sean Shapiro. I'm a former police officer who
tries to help everybody out withtheir traffic and police

(01:29:10):
questions. So if I want to know more, if
you want to watch the next show,I will be back Tuesday at 10 AM
and again next Wednesday night at 9:00 PM.
Hope to see you soon. And dad joke time.
Did you hear about what we got here?
Did you hear about the restaurant on the moon?
Great food, no atmosphere. That's pretty good.

(01:29:31):
I like that the. It's actually.
It's actually really good. OK, Why does the check?
What is this? Why does the chicken coop have
two doors? Because if it had 4 doors, it
would be a chicken sedan. That's awesome.
All right, with that, I say goodnight.

(01:29:51):
Rosa says she's a little scared.I'm assuming she they are a
little scared to do it again so I may need help again.
Read the book. The whole book it's 20
questions, 20 signs and 20 rulesof the road.
It's not hard. There are test questions.
Try a different variety of them all online.
I'll see if I can find links. Feel free to e-mail me at voice

(01:30:12):
over cop at Gmail. I'll try and send you some
resources. Have a great night.
Drive safe. Drive sober.
Of course Dr. legally be safe out there.
See you next week, Chicken sedan.
That's awesome.
