Motherhood is a miracle—but let’s not pretend it isn’t also a mind game.

In this no-holds-barred episode of The Badass Broadcast, TheQueenLadyTee is pulling back the curtain on what it really means to be a strong mom. Single or partnered, this one's for every woman holding it all together while quietly falling apart behind bathroom doors and business goals.

💥 From the invisible weight of emotional labor, to the shame thrown at single moms like we made these babies alone, to the morning rituals that keep us from crumbling—this is the raw, real, and ridiculously true talk you’ve been waiting for.

We’re breaking the silence around:

  • The myth of Super Mom (spoiler: we’re just doing what needs to be done)
  • The guilt of needing a break when the world expects you to “be strong”
  • The frustration of being told to “hang in there” when you’re holding on by a thread
  • And why asking for help is a holy act of strength

✨ Plus, a powerful invitation to share your story, take up space, and join the movement.

This episode will make you laugh, cry, nod, and most of all—breathe.
Because Queen… you don’t need a cape.
You just need to know: you are an unstoppable badass.

🎧 Hit play. Bring the tissues. And let your soul exhale.

Hey Mama—if something in this episode lit a fire in you, or if you’ve got a story, a struggle, or a sacred truth that needs to be heard, I want to hear from you.
✨ Whether you’re carrying something we don’t talk about enough, or you’re ready to step up and share your voice—this mic is for you too.

flame breaking the rulesrewriting the game

SPEAKER_01 (00:17):
what's up beautiful badass being it's your favorite
five starter the queen lady tback with another episode of the
badass broadcast where thebullshit is burned and the truth
gets told and today today thisis gonna hit deep and probably
make you laugh cry in the car sobuckle up mama this one goes out

(00:41):
to the strong moms the onesjuggling Homeschooling,
businesses, breakdowns,breakthroughs, like it's all
part of the job description.
The ones crying in the bathroomwhile their kids yell, mom,
mama, bruh, through the doorlike it's a game show buzzer.

(01:01):
This episode, the silentstruggle of the strong mom.
And spoiler alert, it ain'tsilent anymore.
So my spirit guides told me, bemore vulnerable.
And I was like, wait, what?
More?
Y'all already got me out hereugly crying on the internet.

(01:23):
Was that not enough?
But you know what?
They were right.
Because this episode isabsolutely needed for me, for
you.
If you know, you know.
If you don't know, you're aboutto find out.
So here goes.
Being a single mom, is a divineinitiation and also sometimes

(01:45):
straight up hell.
And we're going there today.
The guilt, the grind, the getthe hell away from me moments,
all of it, no filters, no fluff, because the truth is being a
single mom, it's beautiful, butit is brutal.
The exhaustion, the grief, thepressure, the shame, the grind,

(02:08):
no more holding back.
Let's get into

SPEAKER_00 (02:13):
it.
Let

SPEAKER_01 (02:21):
me paint a picture real quick.
I'm a mom of six.
Yes, six.
I homeschool five of them whileworking full time.
I'm building an empire.
I'm hosting this podcast.
I'm a walking miracle with messylocks and a mountain of laundry.

(02:42):
And even though I'm proud of howfar I've come, it is not easy.
And I know I'm not alone.
Some of y'all are married butstill feel like single moms
doing everything while yourpartner acts like a glorified
roommate with remote privileges.
Tell me I'm lying.

(03:06):
I was a stay-at-home mom upuntil almost three years ago
when I filed for divorce.
But even before that, I wasalready parenting alone.
Because here's another truth.
We don't say enough.
There are married women out herewho are still doing everything
themselves.
Yes, they may have financialstability.

(03:28):
They might have the rings.
They might have the paper.
But emotional labor, it's allyours.
The mental load is all yours.
Wanna scream into a pillow atleast once a day?
Same.
And I've seen it firsthand.
I have friends married toAmazing men, great providers,

(03:51):
great fathers, but they don'thelp with the kids.
The emotional weight still fallson the mom, the scheduling, the
cooking, the cleaning, theappointments, the schoolwork,
all of it.
And no matter how much we loveour kids, this shit gets heavy.
These little blessings will testyour soul's patience and your

(04:14):
skincare routine.
And the hardest part, most ofthe weight we carry is
invisible.
It's not on display.
It's behind the smiles and theZoom calls and the bedtime
routines.
We don't get sick days.
We don't get time off.
We cry in the shower and then weget back to work.
And for so many of us, thatweight is silent.

(04:39):
And that silence, that's whateats away at us slowly and
steadily.
All right, let's call this shitout right here.
Why are single moms stillgetting shamed like we chose
this life as a Pinterestproject?

(05:00):
Like, we woke up and said, oh myGod, I'd love to raise humans
solo while broke, tired, andemotionally raw.
Let's do it.
Like, please.
People love to talk shit fromthe sidelines with their you
should'ves and I would'ves.
Like we made babies alone.

(05:21):
Just out here like, you knowwhat sounds fun?
Parenting six kids by myselfwhile working and trying to
launch a business.
Yeah, I'm gonna do that.
So let me say this louder forthe judgmental ones in the back.
We didn't choose this chaos.
We just choose to rise throughit.

(05:44):
Some of us were lied to.
Some of us were left.
Some of us lost someone.
And some of us walked away tosave our damn souls.
So no, I'm not here for theshame.
I'm definitely not here for thecomparison Olympics.
Whether your ex pays childsupport, alimony, or you haven't

(06:04):
heard from them since 2017.
Or you've got a partner in thehome who doesn't lift a damn
finger.
Your struggle is valid.
Your story matters.
I see you, mama.
I've been all of you.
This isn't about whose struggleis worse.

(06:25):
It's about honoring that everyversion of motherhood that
carries invisible weight.
It's about stopping the shameand starting the healing.
And let me just give y'all asneak peek into my glamorous
life.
as a fabulous, badass mom ofsix.

(06:50):
I'm up before the sun.
I've got kids with jacked upsleep schedules.
So rest is a joke.
I have been team no sleep forlike 15 years now.
Power naps are survival.
And if I do get sleep, guesswhat?
That's time something isn'tgetting done.

(07:12):
Dishes multiplying likegremlins.
Business tasks waiting.
Homeschooling on deck.
Dinner.
Don't even ask me what's fordinner.
Or lunch because I'm alreadyrunning late for work.
I'm over here building dreams onfumes and caffeine pills y'all.
I can't make this up.

(07:33):
And I'm not telling you this forpity.
I'm telling you this because youmight be living it too.
And I want you to know you arenot crazy.
You're just a single mom doingsuperhuman shit with human level
energy.

(07:53):
And listen, gratitude andexhaustion can absolutely
coexist.
Don't let anybody tell youotherwise.
This is not about...
Being grateful.
This is about being honest.
Even the best kids will driveyou to the edge.

(08:13):
Even the strongest moms breakdown and guess what?
That doesn't make us weak.
That makes us real.
So how do I keep from becoming apuddle in the kitchen floor?
For me, rituals.

(08:35):
boundaries self-preservation andsometimes straight up chocolate
therapy my go-to dark chocolatewith sea salt or caramel or
bonus if it's dark chocolatewith sea salt caramel and yes i
stash it just for me i'm notsharing my non-negotiable I do

(09:02):
not leave my room in the morninguntil I ground myself.
Unless someone is bleeding orthe house is on fire, I'm in
sacred silence mode.
They come knocking on this door,I will send them straight away
like, uh-uh, uh-uh, I'm notready yet.
And if I do get ambushed beforeI'm ready, I turn into like this

(09:23):
cranky mama gremlin and I regretall my life choices.
like I knew I shouldn't haveleft their room before I got
grounded.
So now I hide snacks.
I take five minute breathers.
I lock myself into the bathroomfor a nervous system reset.

(09:47):
This is my version of self-care.
So I say this with absolutelove.
Drip your magic.
Then go sit your ass in thecorner and breathe.
Five minutes, 10 minutes ifyou're lucky.
Got a clean bathroom, cool.
Go hide in it with snacks.

(10:07):
Do not share your snacks.
Because we don't get luxuryself-care, but we can create
micro moments that keep us sane.
Because if you fall apart, sodoes everything else.
And the world isn't better whenyou're burnt out.
It isn't.

(10:29):
And let's keep it raw.
for a moment you don't oweanyone an explanation for being
exhausted you don't need to feelguilty for needing a break from
your kids yeah they're your kidsso what they're your kids
they're also not only your kidsyou don't need to let anyone

(10:52):
talk you out of your truth Ifyou've never asked for help
because you thought you had todo it all alone, start now.
Ask for help.
Asking for help is the strongestmove you can make.
If there is anyone in your lifethat you trust even just a

(11:13):
little, maybe one of thosepeople who say, let me know if
you need something, but youalways just say thank you and
never actually let them knowwhen you need something.
Maybe it's one of them.
He doesn't have to be a full daybabysitter or some grand
gesture.
Even if it's just someone to bein the next room with your kids

(11:34):
while you lock yourself in thebathroom, light a candle,
breathe.
That counts.
Especially if you got olderkids.
And let me say this loud.
Ask them for help.
Older kids can be a lifesaver.
They can step in.
They can step up.
It's okay to ask them to dothat.

(11:56):
It's not a burden.
It's teaching them teamwork, responsibility, and empathy.
It's teaching them how to be agood family member.
And listen, if you open up andask for help and people judge
you for it, let them know.
Because people who judge mamasfor asking for help, either one,

(12:17):
don't have the guts to carrywhat you carry, or two, they
have no fucking clue what ittakes to be you.
You are not weak for needinghelp.
You are wise for knowing youcan't do this alone.
You know what else?
It's hard to be burnt out.

(12:39):
It's hard to ask for help.
And sometimes, It's easier tojust say, I'm fine, I'm fine,
I'm good, to keep smiling evenwhen you're screaming inside.
Because explaining why you'renot fine, that's a whole

(12:59):
different kind of exhaustion.
Because when you do open up, youget hit with advice you didn't
ask for, suggestions you'vealready tried, or worse, the
classic one-liners.
Hang in there.
You've got this.
You're strong.
Just pray about it.
God got you.

(13:23):
Oh, I'm sorry, but telling asingle mom you've got this when
she's barely holding it togetheris like...
Telling someone in full-blownpanic to calm down.
Because let's be real, never inthe history of calming down has
saying calm down actually calmedsomebody down.

(13:46):
And I get it.
I get it.
People mean well, and they'retrying to soothe you the best
way they know how, but it's notsoothing.
It's not validating.
It's just more frustrationlayered on top of the chaos that
you're already managing.

UNKNOWN (14:04):
And I get it.

SPEAKER_01 (14:05):
And can we talk about the Supermom label?
I hate it.
I hate it.
I rebuke it.
And again, I know people meanwell, they mean it.
They mean it as a compliment.
I don't feel the complimentbecause I don't feel very super.
I feel like I'm hanging on by athread sometimes.

(14:29):
I'm not some superhero.
I'm just a badass mom who hasdealt a fucked up hand on a
whole lot of kids.
And I chose not to fold.
I chose to go all in and playthe hell out of the hand I was
given.
And I make this choice everydamn day.

(14:51):
But if you've ever feltdismissed, if you've ever
stopped sharing because it feelslike no one really gets it,
You're not alone.
I see you, mama.
I see you.
And this space, it's for thatversion of you too.

(15:16):
So just breathe, queen.
Let this truth land in yourcells.
You are allowed to be messymiraculous and magnificent all
at once.
You don't need to carry it allto be worthy.

(15:38):
And if no one else tells youtoday, I fucking see you.
And listen, I want your voice onthis mic.

(17:28):
