Nevil Shed, Bronx born of the Big Apple, was a recipient of an athletic scholarship, that brought him from the north to the south (NCA&T) He then transferred to Texas Western University, where his "Road To Glory" began. Playing against the powerhouse all-white-University of Kentucky, coached by the late legendary- Adolph Rupp in the NCAA Championship game. In these times (60's) the Civil Rights Movement was in swing and Rupp was known to not favor African-Americans(putting it lightly) This team went on to be the 1966 NCAA Champions, with five black players starting, and transforming the future of college athletics. A motion picture was made of this historic ride and event called "Glory Road ". This will be a two-part episode.
