Jeff shares how he first got into golf as a kid but found it frustrating due to the lack of instant gratification. It wasn’t until much later that he fully embraced the game and began working on improving his skills. His inspiration for Alignment Ball Mark came when he realized the tediousness of lining up putts and sought a more efficient solution.
He describes the evolution of his product, from a crude wooden prototype to a refined, USGA-compliant design. Overcoming multiple hurdles—including legal issues over his logo and the challenges of marketing—he successfully brought Alignment Ball Mark to market. His product is now sold on Amazon and promoted through social media. The product even won best new product at the 2022 PGA Show!
Jeff also discusses customization options for his ball markers, making them appealing for charity tournaments and branding. The episode wraps up with hints at a new, undisclosed product he’s developing, adding to the excitement of his entrepreneurial journey.
