Lawful? Chaotic? These heroes are Basically Good! Our goal is to tell compelling stories though a variety of different tabletop role-playing games. Our characters in these games come with a variety of different morals and motives, but are eventually called to rise up and save the day... for the most part.
Ever hear people talk about games involving rolling dice and fighting monsters but have no clue what they're talking about? Well we've got you covered! Join the Basically Good team as we discuss what Dungeons & Dragons is, how to play it, and why it's becoming one of the most unique mediums for telling stories.
Join us as we chat before our first session! On this episode, we introduce ourselves and discuss how each of us started playing role-playing games.
On the first day of Arodus, four strangers enter the small town of Breachill in order to answer the monthly Call of Heroes.
Our newly acquainted adventurers make their way from the Wizard's Grace to the Breachill Town Hall to answer The Call of Heroes.
After stopping a fire from burning down the Breachill Town Hall and saving the lives of it's citizens, our adventurers answer "The Call of Heroes" and accept two quests: Track down the local arsonist Calmont, and find out what's happened to the Bumblebrasher goblins of Hellknight Hill.
While the characters prepare themselves to enter their first dungeon as a party, join us as we discuss our favorite dungeons across all video games and tabletop RPGs.
With two quests assigned to them, our newly acquainted adventurers take their first steps into the ruined Citadel Altarein.
Our adventurers find themselves between two Warg puppies and their very hungry father. I bet you won't guess how they'll react.
Join the Basically Good crew in a discussion, led by Silas, about our favorite music from video games.
We find our adventures toe to toe with a giant bat. Will they all survive the encouter? Will they find out what happened to the Bumblebrashers? And will they finally catch up the the man responsible for the fire at the Breachill Town Hall?
With Calmont taken care of, our adventurers take off after their second quest, finding the dragon that has attacked the goblins of Hellknight Hill.
Join us for another Pre Pod where we dive into a discussion of how playing D&D has influenced how we view high fantasy in books, movies, and TV.
With the Dragon of Hellknight Hill slain, our heroes finally get to catch their breath. But now the answers to what happened to the Bumblebrashers spark even more questions to what's happening at Citadel Altarein.
After a rowdy night at the Wizard's Grace, our adventurers spend a day running some errands in Breachill.
Join the Basically Good Gang for a chat about our favorite games from our childhoods that we think still hold their weight in 2020.
We find our adventurers still taking care of business in Breachill and discovering the biggest trading card game to hit Golarion, Hero Duels!!!
Join the Basically Good crew as we reminisce about the days of playing video games in the same room with one another. Is couching gaming dead or still alive today?
We find our adventurers back at Citadel Altarein with a new quest; Clear out the remaining threats so the Bumblebrasher can return.
Join us as we discuss our favorite swords in all of fantasy and try to decide which is our all-time favorite.
