The aftermath of a daring experiment makes for a powerful lesson. After completing "The Drunk Show" last week, Ben Maynard returns with a candid reflection on what happens when a podcast host deliberately gets intoxicated on air as a public service announcement. His shocking revelation? He doesn't remember approximately the last 45 minutes of his own show.

"Watching myself under the influence of alcohol was horrible," Ben admits, cringing at his slurred speech, impaired movement, and inability to recall basic facts about his favorite band, The Outfield. Despite feeling physically fine the next morning, the experience of watching himself fail a field sobriety test and struggle with basic tasks has left a lasting impression. The glaring cognitive impairment captured on video serves as a vivid demonstration of why responsible drinking matters.

With St. Patrick's Day approaching, Ben's timely message resonates beyond entertainment. "I did it so you don't have to," he emphasizes, hoping viewers will learn from his experience rather than repeating it. His friend and fellow podcaster Larry has already followed suit, incorporating breathalyzer tests into his own show to spread awareness about responsible consumption.

Between updates on his battle with sciatica and an exciting announcement about a new music podcast collaboration with Shannon from the Eddie Trunk fan community, Ben keeps the conversation flowing. When Tess joins midway through the episode, she provides valuable perspective as the person who witnessed Ben's transformation from sober to dangerously intoxicated during last week's experiment.

If you're planning to celebrate this weekend or on St. Patrick's Day, take Ben's advice to heart: arrange for a designated driver, use a rideshare service, or stay home. Your future self will thank you for making responsible choices tonight. Subscribe to the podcast wherever you get your shows, and follow Ben on Instagram at benmaynardprogram!

And with that, again, it'sFriday night, we're live, and
there's only really one reasonwhy I'm doing this live tonight,
and that's because I kind ofhave to recap last Friday's show

(02:39):
, which was the Drunk Show, asyou know, and let me scoot this
up a little bit and it truly wasthe Drunk Show, as you know,
and let me scoot this up alittle bit, and it truly was the
Drunk Show.
But before we get into that, before we get into that, let me
see, wait, let me go over here.
Let me do this.
We're gonna do all the normalstuff we got going on.

(03:03):
Let me see to do all the normalstuff we got going on, let me
see.
So today is March the 14th.
It's a Friday.
It is National Write your StoryDay.
I think that's really cool.
This is the first time I'mseeing it right now, but I think

(03:23):
that's really cool becausethat's kind of what this podcast
is all about.
When we're not talking music orwe're doing silly, stupid stuff
, it's about people just tellingtheir story, right.
So that's kind of cool.
Write your story day.
So you don't have to write it,just come on the program and you
can sit right in the chair andtell it.

(03:43):
How's that?
What else is it?
It's also National Dog TheftAwareness Day.
How many out there haveactually lost a dog to thievery?
I haven't.
I never have.
I guess maybe I've beenfortunate, or maybe my dogs have
always been too big forsomebody to steal, because I've

(04:06):
always had large dogs, always.
Uh, let's see what else.
Oh, it's world sleep day.
That's beautiful.
That's beautiful.
All right, what do we got goingtomorrow?
World speech Speech Day,buzzards Day, world Contact Day.
I don't know, ides of March?

(04:26):
Yeah, ides of March.
All right.
So what else?
Celebrity birthdays, celebritybirthdays, let's get the glasses
on here, all right.
There's actually some peoplebesides a bunch of sorry, a
bunch of dumb YouTube stars, tiktok stars, that kind of thing

(04:48):
.
They don't count.
I told you that last week.
I think I even said it the weekbefore.
None of that stuff matters.
Let's see Steph Curry.
Steph Curry, nba player withthe Golden State Warriors.
He's 37.
Simone Biles, gymnast yeah,simone, he's 28.

(05:12):
And son of a gun.
Albert Einstein was born on thisday in 1879.
Albert passed away in 1955.
So that's 45 plus 25.
So that's 60.
So he would have been another60 years old.

(05:33):
Holy, no, I'm sorry, 70.
He would have been another 70years older, so 1879.
So 55 and 21 is 76.
Oh, yeesh, albert would havebeen what?
130 something, yeesh.
But yeah, albert Einstein, allright, good, good, good, good.

(05:55):
And let's see.
Well, what happened on this day, this day in history.
Well, we all know that AlbertEinstein was born.
Uh, ooh, a U S Senator doesn'tsay which one.
A U S Senator smears, smearsactress Ingrid Bergman for her

(06:16):
extramarital affair.
That was in 1950, on this day.
Okay, how about?
Let's see?
Oh, get out of the way here.
Oh, get out of the way here, get out of the way.

(06:37):
Uh, let's see.
Ah, the 1958.
The first gold record awardedto perry como for catching a or
catch a falling star, all right.
1964, jack Ruby sentenced todeath for murdering Lee Harvey
Oswald.
Okay, all right.
And how about 1979?
Judy Chicago unveilscontroversial feminist art

(07:00):
installation, the Dinner Party.
All right, well, that's fine.
That's enough for this day inhistory.
Yeah, march 14th, that's enough.
What else we have going on?
Well, as you can see, theMalort is on the table.
It's here.
I'm not looking forward to it.

(07:22):
It's kind of ugly to look atthe way I, yeah, even a week
later, but we'll have the MalorkChallenge.
So if you call in and I will putI'll put the number on the
screen in just a little bit, ifyou don't already know my number
but if you call in, then thedeal is I've got to take a drink

(07:47):
of this absolutely awful uh,liquor malort, and I will drop a
right here.
Let's go with.
Let's go with black, becauseblack could be skunk spray or
something else.
I think they're just all awful.
I think they're all nasty.
I think that's what they are.

(08:08):
I don't think there's any goodones in there at all.
So I've got to take a drink ofthis Malort right in the bottom
of my Mr Spock shot glass withanasty skunk spray bean in the
bottom of it.
The glass, the shot glass, hasbeen sitting here for weeks and
weeks and weeks and months andit did not get rinsed out after

(08:31):
last week's drunk show.
So it's got whatever tequilaresidue is in there and along
with that nasty bean and somemalort.
If somebody calls, that is thedeal, again, not a drunk show.
We did that last week.
Okay, we did that last week.

(08:52):
We're not doing it again, butit is a way to engage you, the
audience, and get people toparticipate.
All right so oh, let's turn thecomments on.
That's what we should do.
Ah, let's see.
Ah, let's see.
It's Shannon.

(09:13):
What is up?
Shannon, I hope you're watching.
All right, thanks for leaving acomment too.
I'll leave the comments open.
Let me change.
Hey, let me do this.
Let me put the number at thebottom of the screen, for there
it is Okay.
So now all you clowns can callin if you'd like.

(09:33):
So thanks for thanks forcommenting, shannon.
I'm going to introduceeverybody to Shannon right now.
Let's talk about this.
Okay, I think you all know andif you don't, you will know soon
enough that I'm a big fan ofEddie Trunk.
Eddie Trunk hosts a show onSiriusXM radio.

(09:55):
It's Faction Talk.
For those of you who havesatellite radio, it's Channel
103.
He does it five days a week, monday through Friday, let's see
, just putting the kids down forthe night.

(10:16):
But wait, shannon, I can't evensee.
Let me see.
But oh, but he's listening, allright.
Well, that's fine, listen away.
Listen away because I'm herefor a little bit.
But I'm a big fan of Eddie Trunk.
I don't want to call him aformer radio disc jockey,
because he still has a show thathe does once a week that
syndicates around the country onvarious rock stations.

(10:37):
Eddie's been in the businessfor over 40 years.
He's like my well, actuallyEddie's like almost a year older
than me.
Our birthdays are pretty closeto one another, but Eddie's a
little older.
So we're like we'll say, youknow, in our, our, our high
school years I would have beenlike a junior, when he's a
senior, so on and so on.

(10:59):
Okay, eddie graduated from highschool in 82 and I was 83.
He graduated from high schoolin 82 and I was 83.
So Eddie's got a lot ofknowledge, a lot of experience
in the music business.
He worked in the music business, he worked for a record label,
anyway.
So I'm a big fan.
I listen to him all the time andthere's a Facebook page.

(11:22):
It's called Fans of TrunkNation, which is the name of his
radio show on SiriusXM.
And you know it's just fans ofthe show Just comment back and
forth on stuff, come up withdifferent ideas on things and so
on and so on.
There's a lot of engagement onit.

(11:42):
It's actually really, really acool fan page and even Eddie
will get engaged in that pagefrom time to time every once in
a while.
So a few weeks back, I'mscrolling down through the
comments on the fans of EddieTrump, our fans of Trump nation,

(12:04):
and I see a comment that says Iwon't get it verbatim.
It says something like hey, I'mthinking about starting a
podcast talking about music, doing a little, maybe recap, uh,
of uh Eddie show for the week, blah, blah, blah.
So on and so on.
And what do you guys think?
And so people startedcommenting, leaving their

(12:26):
comments on it, and I commented.
I said, well, if you're lookingfor a partner, let me know.
So, shannon, who has left acouple of comments here.
Shannon reached out to me viamessenger and we've talked a few

(12:46):
times on the phone and reallynice guy and I don't know how it
is, but I seem to like hook upwith people from Indiana.
So I've got my good buddy, larry and uh, and now Shannon,
and we've just been kickingaround some ideas, um, as far as
what we might want to do, andwe're we're trying to arrange a

(13:10):
time where we could do a uh, youknow, a test show and it'll
we'll do video and audio so youguys can look at our mugs and,
um, yeah, just have some funwith it.
Maybe bring a new perspectiveto some music.
Just talk about the stuff thatwe like you know, and go from

(13:31):
there and we'll see how it is.
So that is who Shannon is, yeah, so I'm looking forward to that
when we can carve out some time.
I know we were trying to do itthis week and I'm not sure if
it's gonna happen and we'll seehow that works, but we're going
to get it done.
You will know about it.
Shannon has been doing somework on this stuff.
He really has.

(13:51):
He sent me a, he's already gota title for the podcast I'm not
going to divulge that right nowand he's got artwork for it.
So I mean, it's great, it'sgreat, it's great.
He's very enthusiastic about itand I'm happy to get on board
as well.
So it's really cool and I thinkyou know it'll take, you know,

(14:20):
a time or two, but we'll getthis test show out of the way
and go from there.
So it'll be some fun.
So stuff to look forward to inthe upcoming future.
Yeah the not too distant future.
All right.
What else?
Oh, okay.
So, malort Challenge, newpodcast, all that good stuff,

(14:44):
all all right.
Let's talk about last week, thedrunk show.
Um, wow, what a night.
If any of you out there watchingor listening, if you stuck
around for all two hours and 37minutes of that, thank you, god

(15:06):
bless you.
And what is the matter with you?
Just because it's my show, Ihad to go back and watch it and
I'll say, after about an hour 15, yeah, the wheel started to
come off.
For some of you, that's great, because I think I've said it

(15:30):
before on the show here, ifeverything goes according to
plan, it's awesome, and if thewheels start to come off, it's
great.
It's great, it's great.

(15:50):
But, um, yeah, it first off.
It took two days to post it onum, on buzzsprout, and to get it
to the other streaming services.
I don't know why.
There was some kind of glitch.
I had put it up on saturdaymorning and I started to to
upload it and there wassomething going on.
And, if some of you mightremember that, I went to a
concert last Saturday and when Ileft, my laptop was open and it

(16:14):
was still uploading.
And when I got back from theconcert, it was still uploading.
So there was a glitch in thesystem somehow and I was able to
reach out to Buzzsprout.
I don't know if we got it fixed, but the show finally got
published.
However, I didn't know until Iwas watching it that there was a

(16:35):
10-minute it's basically a9-10-minute period where there's
no sound, and that was whenTess and I had gone outside to
the patio for her to conduct afield sobriety test.
She had her phone on mute Idon't know why, but she did and
then she divulged it afterwardswhen we were walking back up the

(16:56):
stairs coming into studio.
So for those who were watching,or those who will watch in the
future, great, you're at leastable to see what's going on.
Me, one of these days I'll knowwhat I'm doing when it comes to
editing.
There's a 10-minute silent spotor whatever spot in the show

(17:21):
that you can't hear.
You can not.
You can't hear it on the audioversion.
So I know people are listeningto it.
We're getting some downloads onthat and that's great.
I hope that people understandthat.
And it's about 159 to 208, Ithink it is, or almost 209.
So it's almost 10 full minutes.

(17:41):
So, knowing that, going forward.
If you listen to it, when youget to 159, just skip, just skip
ahead to 209 and you won't missa thing.
I, like I said, watched thatmess and I never want to see

(18:04):
myself inebriated ever again.
I hope that well, first, I knowthat's never going to happen.
And that was just a you know.
Look, that was for the show, that was the PSA to you out
there and I really hope you, Ireally hope it's an important
message for you.
I hope you take it in.
I was fine.

(18:24):
The next morning I woke up, Iwas fine.
No headache, no, nothing.
Everything was cool.
But I honestly don't rememberanything.
I'll say this what we went like?
237.
For sure, the last 45 minutes.
I don't even remember.
I'm watching it and I'mthinking to myself.
I said that I don't evenremember.

(18:44):
I'm watching it and I'mthinking to myself.
I said that I don't evenremember.
I don't even remember this.
I don't remember what's goingon.
And I barely remember walkingout of the studio, going outside
to the patio for the fieldsobriety test.
I barely remember that.
I don't remember anything afterthat.
I don't remember coming backinto the studio.

(19:05):
I don't remember the fieldsobriety test at all.
Like I said, I don't remembercoming back into studio.
I think I do remember I startedtalking about because I was
trying to keep, you know, aregular show with some regular
content, just watching a guy getdrunk trying to do it.

(19:28):
But I remember trying to talkabout the outfield and I, I mean
I do remember that.
I don't remember all the thingsthat I said, but going back and
watching it I just oh gosh, that was absolutely horrible and

(19:48):
I I know the outfield insideand out.
It's only three members, onlythree guys.
You got to remember their namestoo, but I know the outfield
inside and out.
I love that band and yet when Iwas talking about the
individual members, I couldn'tget the names right in my head

(20:12):
there's there's John Spinks,who's the lead guitarist,
vocalist and the chiefsongwriter in the band, and then
there's Tony Lewis, who's thelead vocalist and the bass
player, and I said somethingabout John Spinks at first, you
know.
First and then I was talkingabout Tony Lewis and in my head

(20:35):
I was saying Tony Lewis and I,when I watched the video, I said
Tony Spinks and I think I saidlike three times and it was.
I look, I know I was drunk, butwatching it and watching how,
how terrible I was, I was likecringing.

(20:56):
I couldn't believe it.
It was terrible to watch myselfunder the influence of alcohol.
It was to watch myself underthe influence of alcohol.
It was horrible.
It was horrible to see you knowmy actions, my motion, my
speech.
I'm happy, look, I'm happy, Idid it.

(21:18):
I'm happy I did it Because, like I said, I did it so you
don't have to, because learnfrom me, see what it did to me
so you don't let it happen toyou.
Okay, so that's okay and andI'm glad that I was was Trying

(21:40):
to bring you along as far aswhat I was feeling, how I was
feeling, uh, what I felt likeall those things.
I I don't even.
I don't even remember signingoff on the show.
I don't remember any of thatstuff.
I don't recall it at all.
So just please, don't, don't,don't do that.

(22:03):
I hope honestly for each andevery one of you out there that
you took my message to heart andyou'll, you'll definitely learn
from it.
Look, if you're going to drinkand have a good time, go ahead
and do it.
Just be responsible, be smartabout it, about it.
You know, have a designateddriver, call a ride, share

(22:24):
whatever it is you have to do.
Okay, I mean, please, please, please, please.
And we have St Patrick's daycoming up on Monday.
So, uh, that's the first of abig you know, big drinking.
That's the first of a big, youknow big drinking holidays as

(22:46):
far as bars and restaurants areconcerned.
So, uh, just please take mywords to heart, learn from what
you saw on the show last week.
All right, uh, but uh, and I'msure I'll remind you all again
before we get to Cinco de Mayo, but anyway.
So that was really just manthat was an adventure.

(23:09):
That was something else.
Last week I was crossing myfingers, honestly, I was
crossing my fingers and hopingthat I would be fine the next
morning and thankfully I was.
I was fine the next morning.
I had to get up really early mygrandson Maverick.

(23:36):
He had a baseball game.
It was, um, it was opening, opening day.
And um, oh, what's happeninghere?
Hold on, hold on, a second.
Got something coming in here.
Let's do this instead.
Let's do this.
Oh, here, let's do this instead.
Boom, boom.
I am going to hang on here.
People, this is what happenswhen you go live.
I'm going to invite someone in.

(24:02):
Let's see.
Oh, where's the keyboard?
There, it is, keyboard's righthere.
There it is.
Let's see.
And let's put that there.

(24:23):
And let's do this, boom, allright, and let's send it away.
Send it anyway.
There we go, all right.
Sorry, I couldn't see you allfor a while.
Let me see, I got to send atext also.

(24:44):
This is silly, but this is whathappens when you're live.
There we go, all right.
Boom, all right.
Good, yeah, we might havesomebody coming on to give her

(25:09):
version of what went on lastweek.
We'll see how that goes.
But just important stuff.
Really, really really importantstuff.
The show's getting some prettygood traction, it's getting some
pretty good looks, so we'll seehow that goes.
It was very serious, really.
Honestly.
It was an incredibly seriousmessage that I'm trying to pass

(25:30):
across to everyone.
My buddy, my buddy Larry Reedyhe did a podcast this week with
some buddies of his where theywere doing a whiskey tasting and

(25:51):
so on.
So what did he do?
And I'm glad he did it.
I don't consider it ripping meoff at all.
In fact he posted something onhis Facebook page.
It ripping me off at all.
In fact.
He posted something on hisFacebook page.
He bought a breathalyzer justlike mine and they were checking
their, their uh BAC.
They did, they waited until theend of the podcast and then

(26:11):
they stopped recording and thenhe's going to pick it up on the
next podcast and I guess they'regoing to announce what their
BAC was.
But Larry posted it on hisFacebook page and he talked
about being responsible.
So it's only a couple of usguys out there trying to get the

(26:33):
message across, but I hope thatbetween him and I we'll have
enough reach to where we get itto enough people and it makes a
difference.
So that's the whole thing.
What else is going on?
I don't know if we're going tohave our.
I don't know if we're going tohave a visit from anybody or not
, so I'll share this with you.

(26:54):
I have been in an incredibleamount of pain all week long.
It started Monday morning.
I had the day off Monday and Idon't know what it was.
Well, I know what it was.
I don't know why it happened,but I've been dealing with a
wonderful bout of sciatica thisweek and for those of you who

(27:17):
have experienced sciatic issues, sciatic nerve issues and
lengthy bouts of sciatica, youknow exactly what I'm talking
about.
You can't sit, you can't stand,you can't walk, you can't lay
down.
It's hard to do anything, andthis week has been very
challenging.
I haven't been to work all weekbecause I just can't do it.

(27:39):
I cannot do it.
Today is the best day.
Today is my best day of theweek.
I've been to the chiropractortwice.
I'm going tomorrow.
Chiropractic therapy helps out.
It really does.
You don't feel it immediately, but it helps.
I have a TENS unit that I putthe little pads on my back here

(28:02):
and get it going.
It's like electric shocktherapy, almost something like
that.
I'm against it.
Oh, we do have somebody comingin Hold on a second.
All right, where are you at?
Oh, there you go, there you go.
All right, hey, what'shappening, girl?
Hey, so Tess is joining us thisevening.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
Oh, I don't want to see your cats.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
It's either going to be whiskey or it's going to be
Juno, then yeah, tell me aboutit.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
Okay, so well, yeah, but get on the screen here.
Get on the screen becauseobviously you're watching and
give you know what I was tellingeverybody.
I was telling the audienceabout last week's show, just
kind of recapping it a littlebit.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
Hang on, let me get AirPods.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Okay, go ahead.
And she left the refrigeratordoor open.
I can't see from here what shehas in there.
Maybe something good, though, cause I'm hungry, oh in the
fridge.
You left the refrigerator open.
Yeah, we, we were, you know, trying to figure out what you
had in there.
Maybe there was something good.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
Um, I'm unloading my groceries right now.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Oh, okay, okay, All right, but I'm unloading my
groceries right now, oh okayokay, all right, but look at
these bananas.
They're nice and green.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Have you heard of people eating ground beef and
bananas together?

Speaker 1 (29:29):
I have not.
They're doing it.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Can you hear me okay?

Speaker 1 (29:35):
You're a little muffled right now.
Yeah, whatever, just take itout Now.
You sound good, you sound greatwhat, uh?
What's the thing with the uhground beef and bananas?

Speaker 2 (29:49):
I don't know.
I don't know why people aredoing it, but it's like a thing
right now, I guess.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
Um, and I tried it, it wasn't that bad, honestly
well, if you like ground beefand you like bananas, yeah, okay
, I suppose I could see that.
So, so what do you do?
So you fry up the ground beef, season it to taste, and then
what do you do?
Do you?
Do you cut up a raw banana andjust throw it in there, mix it
up and eat it, or that's exactlywhat I did so you don't fry up

(30:15):
the banana I didn't fry it atall.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
It's Ben.
I'm on his podcast right now.
Oh, I thought you meantInstagram live.
Oh no, I walked away from thefridge.
He was like oh, what do theyhave in the fridge?
Anything good.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
You're over here.
This way, this way, I'm in asecond.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
I'm chewing my food.
So, did you see Juno over here?
Hey come on One conversation, you and.
I Sorry.
I'm unloading groceries.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
I understand.
So, as I started to say, I wasletting the audience, I was just
kind of recapping them on lastweek's drunk show and kind of
just letting them on last week'sdrunk show and kind of just
letting them know that reallylike the last 45 minutes I don't
even remember, and that I wentback and watched it and it was,

(31:16):
yeah, Watching yourself drunkwatching well watching yourself
drunk on video.
It's, it's watching yourselfdrunk on video.
It's not good.
It's not good at all.
It really isn't.
It's not.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
Did you have some anxiety?

Speaker 1 (31:30):
No, I didn't have anxiety, but I was just thinking
oh my gosh, this is me, this ishow I am behaving.
You know, three sheets to thewind.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
No Ben hangxiety, yeah Well Ben hangxiety.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
Yeah, well, I didn't have any of that, though.
I had no hang.
I felt great the next morning,um, but uh, what from aside from
the 10 minutes?
You had your phone on mute, um,which I had no idea your phone
was on mute until I saw thevideo.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Well, I told you.
I told you when we were up thestairs I'm like Ben, you're
going to be so bad.
I told you, I don't remember.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
I don't remember a thing.
So what was your perspective ofthe show itself and then how it
went?
But also, how was it to seesomebody, me okay, we'll just
say me how was it to see me gofrom being perfectly sober to

(32:28):
definitely not sober, and onewho would be locked up, without
a doubt?
How was that for you?

Speaker 2 (32:45):
was that for you?
You didn't get like superobviously intoxicated until
maybe like at least the thirdshot.
I feel like like the secondshot.
I feel like the second shot, there were like clues indicating
it but then by the third one Iwas like oh, like I'm like, if I
, if I didn't know you, I wouldlike no, because your
personality is already like sobig and whatnot.
Um, but then when you wentoutside and did the tests, I was

(33:08):
like, oh, I was.

Speaker 1 (33:11):
I was a mess, Wasn't it?

Speaker 2 (33:12):
You did horrible.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Yeah, it was bad, even going down the stairs.
When we had to go downstairs, Iwas was worried you were going
to tumble down the stairs at onepoint.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
Right, right, right.
Yeah, I was an absolute messand it was a train wreck, but
fortunately I had you therekeeping an eye on me, aren't?

Speaker 2 (33:38):
you glad we recorded all the data too.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
Oh, I'm absolutely, yes, absolutely Happy that we
recorded all that we, you know, and it's right here, obviously,
still in the show log.
So there's a record of ofeverything Whenever I took the
shots, whenever we uh, uh,conducted breathalyzer tests,
all that stuff.
So it it's in there and andit's a good record of showing
the progression.

Speaker 2 (34:04):
So, um, it's a document, it's always going to
be there it is interesting, though, um, I think that because
, like you're such a big boy,like I was surprised that you're
being like a fatty fatty, no Ijust mean like, just like a,
like your big, um, like I sorryhenny's drinking water, um, like

(34:29):
I would have expected your bacto go like a lot higher than
what it was gotcha but it wasjust like interesting that it
never, like, went higher thanwhat was it like 0.13?

Speaker 1 (34:40):
uh, let me go back and look, let me go back I
already recorded a show.
Today I recorded one, I don'tknow 90 minutes.
Let's see the last registeredbreathalyzer test was at 8.37,

(35:13):
so we were two hours and 37minutes into it and it was at
0.120.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
Yeah, that's just I don't know.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
That's like a little surprising to me that it wasn't
a little bit that it should.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
It should have been a little bit higher considering
like right how much, like youknow, alcohol you had, so that
was interesting to me at least,to see like.
I don't know like how it'sreading as that, but you were
obviously so intoxicated.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
Oh yeah, I was bad.
I was bad, that was terrible.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
But maybe also there's something to do with,
like, the fact that you, like, don't have much of a tolerance,
right?
So maybe that's like cause youdon't drink.
You know, you don't drink likethat ever.
No, so it's just interesting, like it was to see, like with
all the data we had, yeah, andthen along with, like you know
how you were, I don't know.

(36:06):
It was interesting.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
Yeah, I just, you know, look whether it gets,
whether it gets any more viewsthan it already has, or it gets
any more downloads than it has, views than it already has, or it
gets any more downloads than ithas.
I'm very proud of the messagethat we were putting forth.
I'm really, really proud ofthat message.
It's a very important messageand you know, I'm not

(36:32):
embarrassed of the fact that Iwas an absolute mess.
It's just cringeworthy.
It was just.
It was just.
I mean I cringed watchingmyself, you know, especially,
like I said, especially thatlast 45 minutes.
But, um, I'm not embarrassed ofit because of exactly what the
message was and uh, and I am,I'm proud of it and you know,

(36:55):
who knows, maybe we'll do itagain next year.
But yeah, it was, it wassomething else.
I just I hope that peoplereally, really take it to heart.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
Yeah, it was good, and maybe next time I'll do it.
I'm just kidding.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
It'll be a much shorter show.
If we kept the same rules,it'll be a way shorter show.
It'll be like a third of theshow yeah definitely.
You'll be on the floor in 45minutes.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
All things considered , you handled it pretty well,
like I would have been a mess.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
Yeah Well, like I said, I mean I never got sick or
anything like that.
I didn't wake up hungover, didn't have a headache, none of
that stuff at all.
Um, I, you know, I did feel, Idid feel a little bit slow until
I got going, but once I gotgoing I was fine, and then, of
course, Wait, isn't that normalfor you though?
What to be slow Thanks.

(38:03):
And then we had that concert.
We had that concert lastSaturday night and we took the
breathalyzer with us.
I didn't drink at all, but wedid.
We took the breathalyzer withus and between your mom and

(38:25):
Christina they had beers, that'sall they drank were beers and
they were testing their BAC andyeah, there was that one point.
I think Christina hit a 0.08,but we had plenty of time before
we even got ready to go.
I think we were probably threehours before we got ready to go,

(38:48):
but she wasn't sloppy oranything, she was fine.
But I think that's the messagetoo.
People don't realize it.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
But it was all good stuff.
So, anyway, I'm going to seeyou this weekend.
Right, I'm going to see youSunday.

Speaker 2 (39:08):
On Sunday.

Speaker 1 (39:10):
Okay, all right, well , look, thanks for checking in.
Thanks for hanging out for afew minutes and kind of sharing
your perspective too on lastweek's drunk show.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
Okay, You're not going to ask me how my night is
done.

Speaker 1 (39:25):
Well I, while you're putting groceries away, I don't
want to hear that you're goingto go out and party or anything
like that.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
That is not.
I was going to tell you how mynight was, though.

Speaker 1 (39:34):
Okay, tell me how your night is.

Speaker 2 (39:36):
Oh my gosh, thank you for asking.
So I did a spin class for thefirst time tonight.

Speaker 1 (39:44):
Oh, okay, how was that?

Speaker 2 (39:47):
They are training for war, Like there's no other way
to put it.
Like you know, I've been anathlete my whole life and I like
work out pretty regularly, butI have no words.
It is humbling.
Bananas it is humbling in there, yeah, like I was sweating so

(40:09):
much.
I haven't sweat like that in solong, but it was really fun and
I don't know.
I think you and mom would havefun if you tried it honestly but
as like a one-off, if youwanted to do something different
, because it'll get you in afull body sweat.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (40:30):
But it was cool and I did that.
And now I got groceries and I'mgoing to get, do you know,
pressed.
We're going to get the pressedice cream.
We get that like at least oncea week.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
All right.

Speaker 2 (40:45):
And we're probably going to like watch a movie or
some trash reality show, I don'tknow yet.

Speaker 1 (40:50):
Okay, so you're, you're staying in tonight.

Speaker 2 (40:53):
We're staying in tonight.
We have to prepare for tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
Oh, oh, all right, do I want to know about that.

Speaker 2 (41:02):
I don't know.
I just know, I just I don'teven really like beer all that
much these days, but I justreally want to go get like a
green beer from somewhere.

Speaker 1 (41:14):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
So that's the mission for tomorrow Get get a green
beer Green beer, okay.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
Well, you can go to the store, buy it and get some
green food color.
Make it yourself.

Speaker 2 (41:25):
you can have it at home you could have green beer
at home.
You're right if you're gonnadrink.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
That's the safest way .

Speaker 2 (41:30):
To drink is right at home, so perhaps, but anyway I'm
gonna go and I hope you have agood Friday and I'll see you
Sunday.

Speaker 1 (41:43):
Yeah, say goodbye to everybody.

Speaker 2 (41:45):
Bye everybody.

(42:11):
