And here we are in studio athome.
It's live Friday night datenight with me.
Sorry about pounding on thatthere.
So, yeah, date night with me.
So listen, a lot's been goingon the last couple of weeks.
It's been a couple of weekssince we've been together, and
(02:38):
so here we are and honestly, itwas like I don't know six
o'clock and I studio.
I had to put the studio backtogether.
I'll explain it All right.
So I was like I got to get thisdone, I got to put the studio
back together, got to get on.
It's Friday night and thereason why I'm reason why we're
(03:01):
going live tonight is I had aguest lined up for tomorrow and
that guest backed out.
So, anyway, it's just one ofthose things and I figured, well
, now I don't have to doanything tomorrow morning, so I
can just kind of take it easyand kick back on Saturday, take
(03:24):
it easy on Sunday.
I've been on vacation all weekand we'll get into some of that
too.
But, yeah, so a guest backedout and I figured, well, let's
get in studio, let's put it allback together and go live.
So here we are.
So let's see the last episode, the last one I left you guys
(03:47):
with.
That was I guess it'll be liketwo weeks tomorrow that was Air
Force Amy Absolutely great.
She was dynamite, she was sonice, she was so engaging, it
was a great conversation the twoof us had.
She had some great stories andif you haven't seen the episode,
(04:07):
if you haven't listened to ityet, then go check it out.
It's really really good stuff.
It's doing very well.
It's doing real well on thestreaming services and it's
doing really well here onYouTube as well.
So, yeah, just go check it out.
She was great and I've said itbefore, but we get new people
(04:31):
all the time.
If you guys know me or for thoseof you who don't know me, look,
I'm not gonna be a real crassguy and if you know Air Force
Amy, you know her background, wegot into it, but I wasn't gonna
to, you know, ask all these, you know stupid questions and uh
, you know, oh, hey, what aboutthis or what about that, or how
many of this?
(04:51):
And you know, just, just, that's just silly stuff, okay,
and I wasn't going to get intoit.
That wasn't the point of it all.
And that's probably why, uh, wehad such a good time and why
she'll be coming back.
She's going to, she's workingon a book and she's going to
come back on again.
She just had a great time.
She sent me a text messageafterwards and so it was just,
(05:13):
it was awesome.
So, listen, go check it out.
And the last few guests I knowI've put out some TikTok videos
and and I've I've kind of, youknow, encouraged you guys to go
back and listen to the last fewepisodes or watch them, whatever
it is, but it's because they'rethat good.
(05:34):
Look, tonight is episode 95.
Yeah, we're pushing 100.
We're right on episode 100'sdoorstep.
We're just about ready to knockon that door.
So, yeah, I'm pushing it all.
I'm pushing all the episodesall 94 previous to tonight, but
(05:56):
the last, I want to say the lastfour episodes, because I think
we had a Friday night live inbetween and I had Spaz and
Shannon were on.
That was a great episode wherewe talked about our top five
albums from 1985.
It was just so fun and it wasso good and each one of us had
we're just very different in ourlists, you know, but let's see.
(06:22):
Previous to Amy, we had ChrisSkates, great author, great
storyteller.
The episode's doing okay.
It could be doing better.
It's actually doing much betteron the streaming services than
it is here.
So that just means the audioversion is doing really well.
(06:43):
It's doing better there than itis, uh, here on youtube.
But he was so good, so, so, sogood and I can't wait to have
him back.
I'll have him back on when hegets his next book out.
Uh, then there was, um, therewas randy latzman and she was
dynamite, that was.
We had her on just beforemother's Day and she was
(07:05):
fabulous.
Get her book from the heart ofa mother, I think that's what it
was.
I hope I got that right, randy.
If I didn't, I apologize, butshe was great, just great
discussion.
We've been on a roll with greatguests lately, not just
counting my friends that come onthe podcast.
(07:26):
And then there was Mick Heyman.
You know, mellow your Money,great.
The episode has done reallywell here on YouTube.
It's done pretty well on thestreaming services or the audio
version.
However, you want me to say thatyou know whatever sounds better
to you guys.
But, um, you know, all I wantare eyes and ears on this
(07:50):
podcast.
I don't, I'm not worried aboutmoney, I'm just worried.
I just want eyes and ears.
That's it.
And that's why I had this bigI've got this big subscriber
campaign going.
I'm trying to hit 500subscribers before the end of
the year.
We're creeping along.
We've picked up a few, but Ineed more.
Come on, people.
First off, I think you know howmany subscribers I have to this
(08:13):
channel.
I have to do is look, I thinkit's just over 150.
So I have a ways to go.
You got to get me 350 more.
That's why you have to tell10,000 of your family and
friends.
All right, you tell 10,000 ofyour family and friends and even
if a thousand of them subscribeto this channel.
(08:35):
Man, boom, there, it is rightthere, right, so cool.
Anyhow, I'll tell you what too.
If tonight, if someone, if youguys, call in, if someone calls
in tonight, then I where are?
Oh shoot, I didn't bring any, Igot new coasters, got new
(08:55):
coasters, some new swag.
Catherine and I were working ona couple of things and but I
got some new coasters.
So if you call into the program, um, or if you leave a comment
and then put the comments up, Ishould put the comments up,
there we go.
Or you leave a comment and inthe comments you leave me, like
(09:18):
your address, I'll send you aset.
I'll send you a set of fourcoasters oh my gosh, four
coasters.
Ooh, I'll send you a set offour coasters, oh my gosh, four
coasters.
But why not?
I'll send them to you andyou'll have four Ben Maynard
program coasters at home to putyour drinks on, to pass out to
your family and friends, whatever it is, I don't know,
it's just something to remindyou of me, okay, so, anyway, so,
(09:43):
yeah, those are the last fewepisodes.
Go check them out.
So so good.
And then, when you're donechecking those ones out, go back
and watch or listen to all theother ones as well, because it's
good stuff, all right.
And so let's see, let's getthis ball rolling.
So you know what today is.
Today, not only is it Friday andit's Friday, june 20th, but
(10:06):
it's National Take your Dog toWork Day.
That's awesome.
I've never had a job to where Icould actually take my dog to
work with me.
Unfortunately, I never had ajob to where I could take my
daughter to work with me.
But you see where I'm going, yeah, so I think that's really
(10:27):
really cool.
Take my daughter to work withme, but you see where I'm going.
Yeah, so I think that's reallyreally cool.
Take your dog to work insteadof leaving them home alone, and
reconsider the important bondbetween man and his best friend.
Absolutely, that bond shouldnever end, and I've said it for
many, many years Dogs are God'sbest work, dogs are just the
absolute best.
(10:47):
So, yeah, take your dog to workday.
What else is it?
Oh, yeah, this is cool.
National Vanilla Milkshake Day.
Well, let's see, it is now 13minutes after the hour, 13
minutes after the hour, so we'vebeen on for like almost 12
(11:08):
minutes here.
When this show is over, I'mgoing to get a vanilla shake.
You know it, catherine, by theway, we're going to go get
milkshakes when we're done here, just letting it's national
vanilla milkshake Day, so we'regoing for one.
She's downstairs, I think she'sprobably watching General
(11:29):
Hospital or something.
Anyway, so National VanillaMilkshake Day.
So when you're done here, whenour date night is over, you go
grab a vanilla milkshake as well.
You know I'm going to.
I don't know where we'll go yet, I'm not sure.
(11:53):
Not sure.
Got a little time to thinkabout it.
It's all good.
Milkshakes, great stuff, yeah.
So let's see what else we have, what else we got going on in.
Let's see how about somecelebrity birthdays?
Yeah, just to kind of kickthings off, right, we're just
having fun.
It's date night with you and me, and that's all it is right now
(12:13):
is you and me.
Let's see Born on this day Getmy glasses on here.
Born on this day in 1967.
Nicole Kidman All right, goKidman.
(12:34):
All right, go Nicole.
And also born on this day in1949, lionel Richie All right, I
love Lionel Richie.
Yeah, lionel Richie, I like mesome Commodores and I like me
some Lionel Richie solo stuff.
Yeah, all good stuff, goodstuff.
Let's see what else.
Oh, and on this day in history.
Let's scroll right through here.
(12:56):
Where was it?
I saw a couple things here in1963.
In this day, oh well, let's goback to 1941.
This day in 1941, ford MotorCompany signs its first contract
with Auto Workers Union.
After a long and bitterstruggle on the part of Henry
(13:20):
Ford against corporation, withorganized I'm sorry, against
cooperation with organized laborunions, ford Motor Company
signs its first contract withthe UAW of America and Congress
of Industrial Organizations,1941.
Okay, in 1963, the UnitedStates and Soviet Union agree to
(13:45):
establish a nuclear hotline.
To lessen the threat of anaccidental nuclear war, the
United States and the SovietUnion agree to establish a
hotline communication systembetween the two nations.
The agreement was a small stepin reducing tensions between the
United States and the USSRfollowing the October 1962
(14:06):
missile crisis, which was thatwas known as the Bay of Pigs.
Let's see, oh, I like this one.
Yeah, this one's good.
This date, june 20th in 1981,20th in 1981, stars on 45, the
(14:29):
single reaches the top of thechart.
So you remember that single.
It was the Beatles medley starson, but it was just called
stars on 45 medley, I think iswhat it was.
But it was, it was.
It was more known as theBeatles men medley, but it says
here not so much a band as anaudacious business plan.
A group called stars on 45climbs all the way to the top of
the us pop charts on june 20th1981 with a single whose
(14:54):
impossibly long title takesalmost as long to read as the
song itself to play, whichthat's true.
When the song first was released, the title of the song was
Stars on 45 Medley, and thenevery single song or the title
(15:14):
of every single song that was inthat medley.
So, like you know, I thinkVenus was in there, sugar, sugar
, and then every Beatles songthat was in that song.
So they kind of just trimmedthat down because that's a lot
to say to Stars on 45 medley.
(15:35):
But that was a really, reallycool tune and what was cool and
check me on this if you need tookay, they didn't take snippets
of each song and then kind ofput them together and build a
medley.
They actually sang each one ofthose tunes.
Yeah, I know they sounded sogood doing all that.
(16:00):
They actually performed thatstuff.
So they weren't like a band, soto speak, but uh, they were a
band for the for for this hereand they did a great job,
tremendous job in, uh, insinging that and sounding like
the Beatles and um, you know, just really, really cool.
What else?
What else here on June 20th,let's see, oh, yes, right there,
(16:32):
this might be the biggest one.
This is cool.
This date in 1975, jaws wasreleased in theaters, was
released in theaters.
Cool movie, cool movie.
Yeah, if you haven't seen it,come on, everybody's seen Jaws.
(17:00):
Who hasn't seen Jaws, really,at least once?
Come on, such a good movie.
And back in 75, let's see, Iwas still nine, so I hadn't
turned 10 yet when that moviecame out.
Let's see, I was still nine, soI hadn't turned 10 yet when
that movie came out.
Boy, would that freak me out.
Nobody would want to go in theocean after seeing this movie.
It's so good, so, so, so good.
The acting was great RoyScheider and Richard Dreyfuss
(17:23):
and Robert Shaw.
Man, so good, so, so, so good, anyway.
So, yeah, that's it this day inhistory.
So later to you, what else hasbeen going on?
Okay, let's see.
Well, it was what?
(17:44):
Oh, it was the same day, sameday as the Air Force Amy show
that evening, my buddy Spaz, everybody knows Spaz.
I mean geez, he practically hashis own chair right here in the
studio.
We went to go see one of myfavorites, angel.
They were playing here locallyand we went to the Whiskey A Go
(18:15):
Go for that show and I got usthe meet and greet for the two
of us and so we got to meet theband and all that and it was
great.
It was a little bit confusingat first the way the meet and
greet was playing out, but itwas really cool.
It was so nice to meet the guysin the band.
They were absolutely justwonderful, not because they had
(18:42):
to be, they just were.
They were just so cool.
And I did Okay, I did, I've gotyou know guys, I, you know I've
been wanting to get this bandon the podcast for nearly the
entire run of this podcast.
Um, so I took my, I took mycoasters, I took a bunch of
coasters cause I was figuringI'm just going to hit it, these
(19:02):
are my calling cards and I'mhanding them out.
And, uh, so I'm just going tohit it, these are my calling
cards and I'm handing them out.
And so I did.
I gave each guy, each guy inthe band, one of my coasters,
but I think on two or three ofthem.
I wrote my cell number and myemail address.
Well, one of the guys in theband, the rhythm guitarist and
(19:26):
one of the main songwriters, danny Farrow, he also kind of
takes care of the businessmatters with the band also, and
so I, when I'm handing these out, I said, hey, I really would
like you guys to be on thepodcast, real like you to come
on my podcast.
And they were like, oh, really, you know, that's cool.
And and then Danny says, uh,yeah, maybe we can make that
happen.
Um, so, uh, we went about withthe rest of the meet and greet
(19:47):
and it was.
It was just great.
It would really was justdynamite.
I think they would take.
They would take a group, however many people were in your
group, and it would be in likethe dressing room to meet the
band.
And you got really like a goodfive minutes at least with the
(20:07):
band and I kept hearing peoplesaying, oh yeah, they were doing
the meet and greet right nowand they can sign stuff, and
then they're going to calleverybody back to take pictures
with the band.
Well, I shouldn't have listenedto anyone, because that was the
moment to take photos with theband and Spaz and I didn't, so
that sucked for us, but whatever, it's okay.
I have the memory of of shakingtheir hands and talking to the
(20:29):
guys and then, um, you know, they were just great.
I took, uh, I took a couple ofcds and I took, uh, I took my
album.
I should put it up on thestudio here yet, but, uh, so
they autographed the stuff forme.
So it was just really cool.
They were just very engaging, just warm guys, nice guys, and
(20:57):
then Spaz and I we had a table.
There's a balcony area at thewhiskey and then, of course,
down below is the floor, and sowe were there.
We saw every band that wasopening up.
I think there were like four orfive bands that played previous
to Angel.
So we sat in the balcony, wesat at our table.
The entryway towards theirdressing room was right next to
(21:24):
our table, so they were keptcoming out, peeking their heads
out Billy, billy Orko, who's thedrummer, and Charlie Calve, the
keyboard keyboardist.
He, they, those guys came outfor a bit.
They're just walking throughthe crowd and every single time
they came by spaz and I theywere just like fist bumping, a
shaking hands, all that kind ofstuff by spaz and I.
(21:46):
They were just like fistbumping and shaking hands, all
that kind of stuff.
They were just very, very cool.
Uh, danny came out a coupletimes same thing, just you know
and spaz and I stood there, youknow, stayed at the table, and
then, uh, I waited.
I told spaz, I said, hey, look,um, you want to come down to
the floor with me when theseguys take the stage?
He says, nope, I'm sittingright here.
I didn't blame him too.
(22:06):
Come on, a couple of 60 yearold guys, you know, um, but uh,
when the guys came out, theywere we.
They walked right by us andthey were just shaking our hands
and fist bumping us on the wayto the stage.
They were just so very cool.
It's not, we didn't ask for it,it was like there we are, hey
guys, and uh, I ran down to thefloor and uh, I, just I stayed
(22:31):
there the whole show and it wasgreat.
They were absolutely on fire.
It was such a good show, such agood show.
And uh, spaz, who you know, forwhatever reason and there's a
lot of people who you knowhadn't been, you know, weren't
familiar with angel back then, and that's actually part of the
problem uh, you know that thatthey had over their careers.
(22:54):
So, um, it was just dynamite,he loved it, he had a great time
.
Um, I think we got out of there.
What time we get out of there?
We got got out there about 1230, I think something like that,
12, 1230, maybe quarter to one,I can't recall and we both
walked.
I drove and we both walked out,got to the truck and we kind of
(23:17):
look at each other man, we'relike way too old to be doing
this stuff.
I said I need a nap now.
And he's like no kidding.
So, uh, but we had such a goodtime, it was great, it was
absolutely dynamite.
Um, so that's how that's.
That was kind of, uh, that'show that night went, that's,
(23:40):
that was this.
Like, I said the same the samenight that we had, uh, air force
Amy on the on the show.
And then, uh, the following week, catherine and I were, uh, we
had our annual Griswold's familycamping trip and, uh, what we
do, uh, we've done it quite afew years.
We haven't done it every year, but, um, it's been going on
(24:03):
since 2017.
And the whole family, you knownieces, nephews, my kids, you
know and we go to thiscampground.
It's called Vail LakeCampground.
It's just east of TemeculaActually, I think it's still
(24:29):
considered Temecula down here inSouthern California and it's a
great campground, great facility.
Most of us, we just rent RVtrailers.
We'll go through thisparticular company and you just
you get your trailer, you getyour trailer and it sounds bad
to say trailer, but I mean it is, it's a trailer, but these
(24:56):
things are gorgeous and you tellthe company when you need them
and the first day of the tripyou show up and boom, it's there
.
They drop the trailer in yourspot and they got the AC going.
When you get there there, allyou gotta do is throw your stuff
in there and you're ready to go.
So it's a good time.
We've been like I said, we'vedone it.
Uh, we've done it most yearssince.
Uh, since 2017.
(25:19):
Uh, we took 2020 off for obviousreasons, and 2021 also, but we
went.
We were back in 2022 and then,um, let's see, oh, 2023.
We took a break from thatbecause we did our griswold's
(25:39):
trip to alaska, so we'd we'ddone our trip to alaska instead
of camping, and then we didn'tcamp.
We'd had nothing going on lastyear.
So we got it back going thisyear and we're already booking
everything for next year, soit's a good time we go out three
, four days, actually, I thinkit's four days.
Four days, three nights.
(25:59):
I think next year, kath and Iare talking about doing four
nights and five days, so that'sprobably what we'll do.
It doing four nights and fivedays.
So that's probably what we'lldo.
It's just a.
It's a good time to go out andspend it with family.
And the really cool part I thinkI told you guys I had made a
TikTok video while Catherine andI were on our way down there
and I said oh yeah, you know, no, no show this week, but we,
(26:21):
I'll be doing some TikTok videosthroughout the weekend.
Yeah, that wasn't going tohappen.
We had in the past.
The campground had no Wi-Fi andlimited cell service.
It was pretty weak.
And we got there and checked inand they gave us the network
(26:49):
and the password for the Wi-Fi.
Oh, ok, cool, that's all rightthen.
And it didn't work.
All week, all weekend, all fourdays.
It didn't work Apparently.
And in the area where we were, there was a small tower that was
(27:12):
supposed to help with the Wi-Fiservice.
Well, apparently it was downand they had a.
I don't know they had a call infor service on it, so we were
out of luck on that.
And then the cell service wasreally really bad, really bad.
So it just wasn't going tohappen.
But you know what, that's okay, because the kids didn't have
(27:36):
screens to watch, they didn'thave their phones to get in and
look at and all that kind ofthing.
So it just lent itself to more, just more, family time.
So it was cool.
It was cool, yeah, so that wasgoing on last weekend and then
I've been on vacation all weekthis week I go back to work on
(27:58):
Monday and I think I I don'tknow if I told you guys, but
shortly after I started thispodcast, the studio now it's
great, I love it, but it's toosmall.
We can only have a couple ofpeople in here at a time.
It's just too small to have biggroups, and we've done a couple
(28:21):
episodes where I've had to movethe equipment to another
location in the house so we canhave five, six, seven people or
whatever.
And so the plan was to move thestudio down into the garage,
clear out the garage, build astudio, build a proper studio in
there and then, you know, proceed to move everything there
(28:46):
and that's what you know.
I think that's kind of stillwhat the plan is.
But in order to do that, youknow, we have a fairly we have a
fairly sizable piece ofproperty and the backyard's
pretty big and there's onesection of the of our yard where
we have a hillside that slopesdown and then at the bottom of
that hill it's pretty flat.
(29:09):
So I spent this week pouringconcrete.
Well, not this week, I did ityesterday but I spent earlier in
the week prepping it all.
It was being graded and we hadto form it all up.
A buddy of mine, chuck, hehelped me out and we formatted
it all up, getting our rock basein and all that.
(29:30):
And then I had gone to HomeDepot, ordered up all the
concrete and had it delivered tothe house.
And then yesterday morningChuck and I were out there
sweating away.
It's a big old slab.
It's a 10, 10 by 20 slab.
So it's huge.
It's huge.
(29:52):
And that that's where the shed.
We're going to put a shed there.
It's uh, uh.
That's where it's going to sitand we're clearing out the
garage.
So in the next maybe couple ofweeks uh, it'll be, it'll be
three piles throw away, keep anddonate, you know that kind of
(30:12):
that kind of thing.
And then, uh, then we'll startour conversion on the garage.
We're, what we're going to do isis Tess is actually moving back
home for a little bit.
Uh, she's going to move backnext month and, uh, eventually
she'll, she'll get to move downinto the into garage.
What will soon or I shouldn'tsay soon, but what will one day
(30:34):
become the studio is going to bemore living quarters.
We're going to build a small uh, I don't really want to call it
an adu, but uh, but we'll builda small living space down there
and we're going to build outour laundry room to have a
proper laundry room, and thenI'll have a small area for, like
(30:54):
my I don't want to say workshopso much, but now workshop my
tools, that kind of thing.
So that will be the project andthat we need the shed for, so
we can get everything out of thegarage.
So, yeah, it's going to be abig shed and Catherine and I we
just went and checked that oneout today, we just made our
purchase on that one and thatwill be coming in next month, I
(31:17):
think, I don't know, I think thefirst part of next month,
something like that.
So we're looking forward tothat.
What else, oh what else, hasbeen going on?
Let me see.
Was it last week, while I wasaway camping?
Wasn't there stuff going aroundthe country?
(31:39):
Weren't all these?
Here we go?
Weren't there a whole bunch ofquote unquote demonstrations and
protests for no kings?
Something like that.
No kings protests, somethinglike that, no kings protests.
Holy cow, give me a break, comeon.
(32:04):
So you guys know I don't getpolitical in here.
You know where I stand, youknow where I stand, but you know
that you don't come to me forpolitics.
So I don't get very political.
But this was kind of stupid.
This was a joke, all right, andof course it started, I think,
the week before.
Uh, right here in LA, with abunch of crap going on, a bunch
of people out in the streetsblocking freeways and all that
(32:25):
kind of stuff, and then we havegot city officials and, and you
know, and our governorcomplaining about having the
National Guard come in and thatkind of stuff.
And it's like, wait a second,wait a second.
If you guys would mind yourbusiness, if you guys would take
care of business, therewouldn't be any National Guard
here.
That's the bottom line.
(32:46):
If you allow law enforcement todo what it is that they're
supposed to do, which is upholdand enforce the law, then you
don't have that issue.
Then the National Guard isn'tcoming in to protect federal
property, because, see here, local law enforcement whether
(33:07):
it's the city, law enforcement, county, whatever it is they're
not going to protect federalproperty.
They'll try to protect theirassets, their property, but
they're going to protect thefederal property, okay.
So if they're not going to dothat, somebody needs to see
bring the national guard andthen you back them up with the
Marines, you know?
Wait, that's the way it is,okay.
So I don't want to hear aboutKings and this and that kind of
(33:31):
thing, whatever.
All right, it's just stupid.
You guys don't get it andthey're not protests, all right.
I heard somebody on the newsthis was great, it was local
news, this is awesome, awesomeTalking about our president,
president Trump, calling in theMarines and calling in the
(33:52):
National Guard, the Marines andsaid I'm getting it verbatim,
I'm getting it verbatim.
I'm not quoting it, but saidsomething to the effect the
president really needs to becareful how this is managed and
how this is handled and how hebrings the National Guard into
the LA area because it couldspark all kinds of stuff.
(34:13):
Right now, it's just a bunch ofpeople having fun watching cars
burn, and I heard that I waslike, really, you serious, huh,
watching cars burn, that's fun,right?
That's a friendly protest or afriendly demonstration, okay,
yeah, all right, that's the waypeople in the city of Los
(34:36):
Angeles think, that's the waythe city officials think about
that.
That's all friendly, it's alluh, uh fun.
You know it's nonviolent, youknow that kind of stuff that
just that just kills me.
That's great stuff.
I love it.
I love it.
So, look, god bless thepresident for doing what it is
that he had to do.
Okay, took care of business, andlast week they're going to have
(35:00):
these no kings, I don't knowwhat you want to call them
protest demonstrations.
They end up being riots.
Okay, because they're not.
Okay, they're not mostlypeaceful protests.
Okay, they're not.
They're not mostly peacefulprotests.
Okay, they're full out riots.
Okay, come on, let's just behonest.
And uh, but I love it becausethat same day we're celebrating
the 250th birthday of the army, the U S army, you know, good on
(35:25):
you guys.
Happy birthday to the army.
We're celebrating flag day, theAmerican flag day, okay and
we're celebrating ourpresident's birthday.
Oh, you know what?
It was also my uncle Bruce'sbirthday too.
I sent him a text.
I told him happy birthday.
We're celebrating all thatwhile you got a bunch of dummies
(35:48):
out in the streets, you knowwreaking havoc and you know
crying if they get thrown injail or crying if they're
getting pushed back.
And I just love it.
I love it.
You know, don't be stupid anddon't try to.
And I just I can't stand thenews media trying to fool
everybody.
Oh, it's mostly peacefulprotests.
(36:10):
Well, listen, here's what apeaceful protest is, or a
demonstration, either way, youstand on a street corner, you
wave your signs, your banners, whatever it is, and you state
your case.
That's peaceful, okay.
Once you step off the sidewalkinto the street and you impede
the flow of traffic, you impedesomeone's path or mode of
(36:31):
movement.
You've now broken the law, allright.
And now you're susceptible toarrest.
That's just the bottom line.
That's the bottom line.
But no, they think that they'reexpressing their First
Amendment right.
Not when you step off the curb, not when you block a freeway on
ramp, not when you block afreeway.
None of that.
(36:55):
That's not peaceful and that'snot expressing First Amendment
rights.
You want to stand out there anddo stupid stuff.
I got better things to do withmy time, but that's just insane
that people would want to dothat and then try to call it
(37:17):
peaceful.
Yeah, love that stuff, but youknow what here, here's for all
of you out there that may havetaken part in it, or for all the
folks out there that didpartake in their no Kings
protests and and anddemonstrations and riots In the
end you guys won.
(37:37):
You guys actually won.
So good for you.
I guess it did some good, because you know what we don't
have a King.
We don't have a King runningthis country.
You win, you got what youwanted no Kings.
Awesome, awesome, good on you, good on you guys.
That's excellent.
(37:59):
So, look, um, that's all I'llsay about that.
Okay, I don't need to go onanymore about that.
That is, that's it.
