The Benchwarmers

Football is back (kind of).  The Benchwarmers break down an interesting first day at Cowboys Training Camp and look ahead to the season for both Dallas and New Orleans.  This week the Benchwarmers are joined by Doug Ireland of the Shreveport-Bossier Journal, Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, National Football Foundation, and more.

SEC Media Days are here, LA Tech is headed to the Sun Belt, and Daniel is at the top of his game.  The Benchwarmers are joined by Roy Lang III of the Shreveport-Bossier Advocate.

It's a KTBS 3 Sports family reunion this week! Former KTBS Sports Directors Tatum Everett and Paul Crane reunite with Alex and Daniel to talk about their time together at channel 3. The Benchwarmers also break down their time at Freedom Fest Finale and possible advertisements on LSU uniforms.

We have reached the great lull in the sports calendar; the Benchwarmers talk about sports betting and Alex is mad at the Sabres.  Alex and Daniel are joined by Evangel quarterback Peyton "Pop" Houston to talk about the expectations for his junior season, his college decision, and much more.

LSU baseball wins another natty, the NBA and NHL champions have been crowned, and Alex is working on a big story.  The Benchwarmers are joined this week by first year Southwood head coach Deaumante Johnson.

Alex is on the road, Shreveport dominates the US Open, and we are overflowing with national sports topics. The Benchwarmers are joined by Centenary head football coach Byron Dawson as the Gents prepare for their second official season on the gridiron. 

Daniel returns as an engaged man, the NBA and Stanley Cup Finals are awesome, and Alex is mad about video games.  The head coach of the undefeated, 59-0 NAIA National Champion LSUS Pilots, Brad Neffendorf, joins the Benchwarmers to talk about his team's historic run.

With Daniel still on vacation, Taylor Gibson gets his time on the bench.  LSUS is perfect, the NBA and Stanley Cup Finals are set, and Bossier Offensive Coordinator Jeff Harper joins the Benchwarmers to look ahead to the Southern Classic Chicken Friday Football Fever season.

Daniel is on vacation , Sidney is in Idaho, and LSUS is chasing a NAIA World Series.  Sidney Lain joins the show from Idaho to give us a behind the scenes look at her coverage of the Pilots.  The Benchwarmers also visit with North DeSoto quarterback Luke Delafield fresh off his baseball state championship with the Griffins.

The Benchwarmers are joined by Benton head coach Stephen Dennis.  Coach breaks down his departure from Huntington, his favorite band, his favorite restaurant, and much more.

Derek Carr retires, the Cowboys found their wide receiver, and North DeSoto baseball is headed to the championship.  The Benchwarmers are joined this week by Calvary head softball coach Tiffany Wood after the Cavs 5th consecutive state title.

Daniel battles a cold, the LHSAA Softball and Baseball playoffs are wrapping up, and we learn why you should never let Alex borrow anything.  The Benchwarmers are joined this week by Parkway head coach Coy Brotherton as the Panthers are in the middle of spring practice.

The Benchwarmers NFL Draft Grades are in, LSUS is undefeated, and the Stanley Cup Playoffs are awesome.  This week LSUS head coach Brad Neffendorf and Haughton head football coach Matthew Sewell join Alex and Daniel on the bench.

The NFL Draft is here, and the Benchwarmers present their first-round mocks. Former Arkansas Razorback and Pleasant Grove Hawk Landon Jackson joins the show to discuss his path to the Draft. Alex and Daniel also give a lesson on movie theater etiquette, watch the Mudbugs' season come to an end, bring you Matt's Minute, and much more.

The Saints need a quarterback, Rory won the Masters, and we get a history lesson regarding Alex's socks.  The Benchwarmers are joined this week by Mudbugs head coach Jason "Soupy" Campbell as the team prepares for another playoff run.
