Welcome, welcome, welcome once again to live and in color with
Wolfie D and my man Jimmy acrossthe street.
And Jimbo. We got something going on today
that our man Captain Nick from Captain's Corner has hooked us

(00:47):
up with one of the all time greats in the wrestling
business. Brother.
I know brother. Uncle Ivan, it's bad.
I'm sorry, brother. Nikita.
Koloff, brother, I know. I know, dude.
I'm stoked. Yeah.
Yes, Sir. Yes, Sir.
God, I can't even believe it, bro.
Like I didn't. I mean, seriously, I didn't know

(01:09):
that we were going to get to talk to people like Nikita.
So this is, you know, I mean, it's it's a role, bro, because
Pat Tanaka man is is blowing up the charts right now as far as
things go. It's just every time I look at
it, it climbs and climbs. It's not staying at that same
static number. It's going, moving, moving.
So it's thank you all so much for listening to that.
Pat is just awesome. Thank you.

(01:30):
Yeah, yeah. But.
But we had to follow it up with something incredible and Nikita
was the one to pick. We definitely were able to
follow it. Yeah, so it real quick.
Glory days grapple con to Saturday, March 29th lutes
Florida Residence Inn, Tampa Suncoast Parkway at North Point
Village. See Nikita and many, many other

(01:51):
stars of the WCW and our homie Captain's Corner, Captain Nick.
Anyway, dude, by the way. But guess what happened to me
last night? You got laid.
I mean, of course, but other than that.
I have no clue. Out of the blue, totally
unsolicited whatsoever. Unsolicited.

(02:16):
Yes, that's a very important term.
Out of the blue I get a message on Facebook Messenger and it
says hello. Just heard your interview with
Al Perez. Great guy, love him like family.
Appreciate your conversation about my dad.
Signed Gary Hart's son Jason Williams.
I just made your night, didn't it?

(02:37):
Dude, it did and it went on to into like a 30 minute
conversation just talking about stuff from like Tony Falk to
Josephus, you know, to just different Al Perez of course,
talking about you doing the whirly bird talking about you
know how much Tony Falk loved Gary because he took the boy
Tony gimmick off of him. And you know, they actually put,

(02:59):
Jason told me a funny story. He said Yep.
And we put him on a bull at the Mesquite Rodeo Arena.
Can you imagine, Tony? Sledgehammer?
Can you hear Tony? I can hear her saying now, Uncle
Gary, you going to put Tony on adamn bull?
Put me on. A bull tell the story.
We need to get that. Yes, we got to make.

(03:21):
To get that. Yeah, yeah, and it says Cowboy
Tony was a fighter, a lover and a hell of a man.
That's what he said. That's what he said, Yeah.
So, but he really enjoyed the ALPerez interview.
And yeah, he said he was a member.
Of so he follows us. Evidently I don't listen to

(03:43):
this. Apparently, yeah.
And for some reason he reached out to me.
I I I guess I don't I. Mean I'm.
Not one that was talking about Gary, you know, so.
Yeah, yeah, He, that's why I saythat, because evidently he
realizes you're a big mark for his dad, you know?
I show enough of him. Yeah, man.
So anyway, that was cool. And actually I knew that I knew

(04:06):
about this guy because, you know, I've talked so much to
Tony about Gary because Tony's afountain of information.
And he said that he had he had some kids.
One of them was named Jason. His name's Jason.
Jimmy. Jason.
And I'm like, OK and I yeah, man.
And this just out of the blue, all because of an Al Perez

(04:29):
interview. I'm talking to Gary Harts son.
That's. Great.
Who was it that used to say, when you said fountain of
Information, who was it? Was it Gorilla Monsoon that
would say Heenan? He was a fountain of
misinformation. Yeah, I think you.
I think you. Or was it?
Was it Jesse? I think it was somebody to.
Say that yeah, I found a misinformation.

(04:50):
I can't hear the voice, but I can hear the words.
Yeah. But anyway, sorry rando rando.
Listeners, let us know that. One anyway, man, yeah, we're
sitting there talking. About Nikita and Gary Hart's
kid. Let's let's get Nikita on the
line. I cannot wait.
We'll be right back after these messages.

(05:10):

Thanks again. All right guys, we're back.

(05:56):
You survived another break and you're going to be so happy you
survived this break. Very special guest today as
always, man. But this one man, Jimmy, this is
a little bit bigger. It's a little bit bigger man.
You know, somebody I grew up watching, you know, before I got
into business and I'm just goingto go ahead and introduce some
man because I want to get this rolling.
I got some questions I want to ask of the Russian nightmare.
Naki da cool off. How you doing man?

(06:21):
Wolfie Jimmy St. Hey, I'll tell you what, Your
listeners might have survived the break, but I don't know if
they could survive a Russian sickle.
I don't either. I know man.
I'm just going to throw that outthere.
I'm just going to throw that outthere.
I. Doubt they could.
Great. To be with you guys, great to be
with you guys. Thank you so much, man.
There's so much I want to ask and we're going to try to cram

(06:43):
it into this little show here. I just really like to start with
people at the beginning, man. Cuz obviously like I watched you
in my teenage years and, and then I got in, but like, I like
to know the, the back story, man.
What? What was what was little Nikita
like? Yeah, it well, and, and little
would be the right word. Cuz, you know, back in my

(07:05):
younger days, I, I tell people all the time when I tell my
story, you know, I'm like, I wasnot a big kid.
I mean, at the age of 12, I'll kind of condense the, the story.
I tell people if you want the full story and they can get it,
either an audible book, the key to a ring tale of the ring of
redemption or a hard copy off mywebsite.
But all I said, we'll give an abbreviated story today.

(07:29):
So, you know, age age 12, I pickup a, a magazine called Iron
Man. It was a bodybuilding magazine.
And I was just enamored by the guys and I thought, and I said
to myself, and I told a few others my, my buddies in, in the
neighborhood, good, one day I'm going to look like one of those
guys. And I went and bought 110 LB

(07:51):
plastic weight set from, from anold company called Sears and
Roebuck. And, and I went to work, guys, I
just went to work. I started lifting.
I might have been, I might have been 100 lbs with rocks in my
pocket and it's soaking wet. Like that's how big I was at age
12. But I went to work and then in
9th grade, a guy named Jerry McFarlane came into my life.

(08:15):
He was a health teacher in my junior high school, but he was
also a certified professional bodybuilder.
So you, you might naturally knowI, I gravitated towards him,
right? And for the next 4 years, 9th
grade, 10th, 11th, 12th grade, man, I hung out every moment I
could possibly hang out with Jerry McFarlane.

(08:35):
And that kind of set the tone, teaching me nutrition, eating,
exercise and lifting and bodybuilding.
That's the early part of the days, guys.
Right, right, right. And and I know you played a lot
of football and, and then all the guys that played, we had
John Nord on not too long ago. What hilarious dude he is.

(08:56):
But he was telling all the guys that were on the football team
up there, man. And that's like a All Star
wrestler football team. Yeah, people assume.
People assume because he had John Nord, Nikita Koloff, Barry
Darsow, 3rd handing Rick Rude, you know, that we must have had
a state championship team. But unfortunately you need

(09:19):
coaching as well, you know, And so we, we, we had great
individuals, but but, but we didnot have the best coaching.
So we were not the best team in the state of Minnesota.
Well, I'm going to, I'm going toleave my imagination that y'all
were awesome and I, I could see like somebody making a A-Team,
like a creative team on Madden or something like that and

(09:40):
having all y'all and y'all's gimmicks and stuff, you know,
that'd be awesome. Oh yeah, yeah, that would be
fun. That would be fun.
Yeah, man. So.
Get into wrestling. I read that it was, it was Joe,
it was Animal that got you in, right?
Kind of convinced you to do thatinstead of football or
something. Yeah, so the so so I, you know,
my my passion, my love was Pro Football.

(10:02):
That was again, right around thesame time I picked up that Iron
Man magazine. I kind of fell in love with
football and lived, ate, slept, breathed it, you know, and have
my sights on like many young boys have my sights on playing
in the NFL. One day was on that path through
my college days, Couple setbacks, couple major injuries
in my college days, but it didn't hold me back.

(10:24):
You know, I just use those setbacks as a comeback to stay
on that that path to fulfill that dream.
And what some people know and many people don't know is I
literally recruited Joe out of Irondale High School, New
Brighton, MN to play college football with me.
I did not know him until I gave him a tour of our campus.

(10:47):
Him and his mom and dad, we became best friends.
He ended up dropping out of college.
Next thing I know he's on the superstation.
TBS. And then yeah, he would later
recruit me into pro wrestling asI was training for a Pro
Football tryout. So were you a wrestling fan at
all growing up? You know, technically not, not

(11:11):
really. You know, I was familiar with
it. I mean, I'm in Bergania
territory, right? And so not not hard to flip the
channels and catch, you know, All Star wrestling sanctioned by
the AWA, you know, and see some of the guys and then in college
actually worked out at in an oldsweat box gym in North

(11:35):
Minneapolis called Ventura's gym.
Yes, Jeffy the body Ventura. So, you know, I got to know him.
But that's still didn't, you know, my, my, my dream was
football. So, you know, I got to know him.
You know, I'm still pursuing football at that point.
That's interesting. Jimmy, go ahead and plug the the

(11:57):
Tampa gimmick or the Lutz gimmick.
Yeah, so it's the glory days. Grapple Con 2 with Captain's
Corner, our good buddy Nick. That's Saturday, March 29th.
Lutz, FL Residence Inn, Tampa Suncoast Parkway at North Point
Village. That is that this is an WCW
extravaganza. We've got all the greats.
I mean, NWO, Steam, Jeff Farmer,Bunkhouse Buck, Colonel Robert

(12:19):
Parker, Ming Glacier, and then of course, what WCW would be
complete without the main man, the Russian Nightmare, Nikita
Koloff? Seriously.
You guys are kind. I'm going to throw a couple
others in there that that I heard a rumor is going to be
Danny Spivey and and dirty and dirty Dutchman tell, you know,

(12:44):
dirty. I hope he takes a shower before
he comes. Oh.
Man, yeah. So can I jump in real quick?
I'm hot tagging you bro. OK, Thank you, hot tag.
So Nikita, this is a funny story.
So I've interviewed David Isley before in the past and in upon a

(13:07):
podcast. And did you know that when you
were out of town, David Isley would take your car to the
Myrtle Beach dancing establishments?
Nikita, he had a Cadillac back in the day, a white Cadillac
with tinted windows, and he was going out of town.

(13:29):
And he, you know, he and I were very close.
And I said, hey, Nick, you're going to be out of town.
I said, you know, can I can I take your car?
Take your car out if, if I need to.
Yeah. And he said sure.
Yeah, yeah. Go ahead, Go ahead, take the
car. Well, I took his car and I drove
it down to Myrtle Beach, SC and,and so, so, so back-to-back

(13:51):
there in those days that, you know, it was no secret.
I, you know, I'm, I'm not the same guy that I was back in
those days, those days, thank goodness, But I kind of frequent
frequented a lot of adult entertainment businesses.
And, and so I had, I had the car, you know, full of the
ladies, you know, in the car onenight and we were riding around

(14:13):
all riding around Myrtle Beach. And so when I finally went back
to the Concord, Nikita had not been home.
And to this day, I still don't know how he found out.
But he came up to me and he says, what are you doing hanging
around in Myrtle Beach with adult entertainers hanging out
my car window. And I still to this day never

(14:36):
know how he found that out. He did.
He had his sources in the KGB. Yeah, he really did.
He really did. Holy cow, that Yeah.
Wow. We're starting with an
incredible story. There you go.
Well, so, so I just, so one of his little Rd. buddies is a guy

(15:00):
by the name of Roger Gad who just last week I had in the
studio because, you know, some people know, some don't know.
I've got a, you know, I've got apodcast as well called the Man
Up Podcast. Yeah, that's great.
Yeah. And Q&A with Koloff up on all
the major podcast platforms and I would just had Rodger in the

(15:20):
studio doing a couple shows lastweek and then a live show, live
show called True Talk live on onTruth Radio Network.
And Rodger has reminded me he was a little Rd. buddy with
David Isley when they would whenthey would confiscate my
Cadillac and and take it to Myrtle Beach.

(15:41):
But the part I didn't know that you just enlightened me to was
the little dance clubs that theywere going to.
Yes, I. Did not know that, so thank you
for that little piece of information.
I do what I can, yeah. We're here to dig up dirt for
you, man. I do what I.
Appreciate it. I can't wait to see David next

(16:01):
time. Tell him I said hi.
I will, I will. Right after I rush and sickle
him, I will. Hey, so here's something else,
man, that I uncovered about you that I don't guess I realized,
man. And it was on the Internet, so
it's got to be true. You legally changed your You
legally changed your name to Nikita Koloff.

(16:24):
I did. I did as part of the.
Let me follow up real quick before you start answering what
what, what made you do that? Like did you identify yourself
more as that person at that point?
Was this something, you know, what's the why did you do that?
And I'm not knocking it. What's the story behind it?

(16:46):
Right. So, so in my mind, in my mind,
anyone who spends any time around me, you go read my life
story. I'm just like, yeah, a shameless
plug for the book. When you go read my life story,
what you're going to find out you spend time around me.
I'm an all in kind of guy, OK. I mean, I started, I started
working out the age of 12. I was in the gym this morning

(17:07):
before this this interview and and that's 53 consistent years
of working out. OK 53 consistent work years,
five days a week. Typically.
I'm in the gym still. OK, So I'm an all in kind of
guy. So when I got into wrestling,
you know, I thought if I'm goingto make this successful, let me

(17:28):
find some, some Russian. Let me find a Russian, some
information. I got a workbook.
I I got a cassette tape, you know, for your younger audience,
go Google that. But that was a real thing, a
cassette tape. And so I, I learned a few words.
Yeah, I didn't really learn Russian, but I learned a few
words and put a few things together that would would make

(17:50):
it sound like I really was from there.
And then just six months before,I spoke in the English to kind
of in my mind to how would a certain words sound if I was
from there. And then the last piece of that
puzzle was, man, I'm going to eventually probably get stopped
to go to an airport or whatever,my ID to say Nikita Koloff.

(18:11):
So yeah, I legally change it as just part of getting the
character over. Yeah, live in the gimmick, man.
Live in the gimmick, Yeah, 100% all in.
Yeah, man, that's, that's, that's dedication right there.
I mean, seriously. And that's like, you know, I, I
respect obviously people that, you know, they don't cafe, you

(18:34):
know, that words are pretty muchdead anymore.
But like back then, it was not. You could still make them
believe a little bit, you know? And you know, that's some
serious cafe right there. Yeah, it was.
That's, that's taking it, you know, taking it, I say, to
another level, right? Yeah.
And, and honestly, I've heard this about you that even even

(18:55):
around the boys in the dressing room, you kind of wouldn't come
out of character too often. Guys, Johnny be bad.
You guys know that Mark Marrow, and he told me a story one time
how like when he first came intothe territory, like he goes,
first of all, let me just say for the record, I was scared to

(19:17):
death of you. Like for the record, like that's
legit. Like I'm looking over going,
yeah, what's going to happen if I have to wrestle that guy,
right? But so he said that he goes, I'm
not exaggerating that I would you, you, you, you frighten me.
He goes and that's and sometimesyou'd be talking and and in
character, I'd lean over, you know, I'd whisper because I

(19:40):
whisper, but I'd go, does he know we're smart to the
business? Like we know he's not really
from Russia. You know, you, I never said
nothing to you, but because I was so scared.
But but I was like, why is he still in character in the
dressing room? You know, part of my mindset.
And guys, I didn't know this. I didn't hear this term.

(20:01):
Until years later, but there is a term for that.
Did you guys know that? No, I don't think all.
Right, I'm, I'm going to give you the term.
It's it's a Hollywood term. It's called method acting.
Method acting. And that's what you literally
project yours. That's what makes some of the

(20:23):
greats the greats is they project themselves into that
actual role in the movie. I didn't know I was doing that,
but I come later to learn that'swhat I was doing.
That is exactly what you were doing.
Yeah, that is exactly what you're doing.
Jimmy, jump on in there. OK, so one of my 2.
I had two favorite matches as a kid that were kind of what you

(20:43):
would say, not the normal matches.
You know, I, I loved anything Ricky Morton and, and, and the
Midnight Express and the Rock'n'roll did together, any of
that. But there were two Ric Flair
matches that I absolutely loved and it did not include Sting in
this, actually. One of them, of course, was Hawk
at the Bunkhouse Stampede. I thought he and Hawk had a
great match, told a great story, and it saw how well Hawk could

(21:06):
work outside of A tag team. And then the second match that I
absolutely loved, and we'll watch it to this this day was
you and Ric Flair at the night of the Skywalkers, man, and that
big scaffold above you guys talkabout working Flair.
And and that was just such a great match.
And I think it's an underrated match, actually.

(21:26):
I appreciate it, I really do. The fans are the greatest.
Shout out to all the fans out there, all the rest of fans, you
know, kudos to all of you. They, they, they keep track of
and record things like and blow me away.
They post stuff on my social media or tag me in it and all
that sort of thing. And I'm like, gosh, I completely
forgot I wrestled so and so fillin the blanks or whatever,

(21:48):
right? You know, being Mark Kallus, AKA
Undertaker. You know, I, they recently
posted a picture with me and Terry Gordy, which was over in
Japan. And I'm like, oh, wow, Terry and
I were partners. Yeah, you forget a lot of stuff,
right? But going back to Flair again,

(22:08):
for those who maybe don't know the full story, I break in, you
know, with a from a 5 minute phone call.
Animal calls me, I called Jim Crockett Promotions, talk to Jim
Crockett 5 minutes months later without another conversation
show up the day he said to be there, Which for the record, by
the way, you go back to that statement at the age of 12, one

(22:28):
day I'm going to look like one of those guys.
The day I walked into Dib Crockett's office, I was 285
pounds, 8% body fat in a 34 inchwaist.
I I become what I said I would. OK.
And then you Fast forward 13 months later, like what kind of
left out the he debuted me on television in a sold out crowd

(22:52):
in Raleigh, NC Jordan Arena, having never been in a ring
before. So no pressure there.
And, and, and then thirteen months later, I'm wrestling
Flair for the first time ever atthe Great American Bash and
shark in front of however many thousands of people.
And then, and then a couple years later or a year later, I

(23:13):
guess about a year and a half later, you know, that Skywalker
match. It's all that said, apparently I
had more matches against Flair than anybody else in my career.
He topped the chart and I mean he was the consummate pro.
I mean he he can make a broomstick look good.

(23:35):
He made the pull off look good. And so you know nothing but but
you know nothing but good thingsto say about about Rick and in
terms of stepping in the ring with him and and being the
consummate pro and making me look good and all I had to do
guys, you know, it was like, youknow, a dancer.
I just had to follow his lead. And if I did that, hopefully the

(23:58):
fans were entertained and we hada great night bash night in and
night out, yeah. That's pretty cool, man.
That's cool. Let's take a quick timeout and
get a word from one of my dope ass sponsors and we'll be right
back with more live and in colorwith Wolfie D.

(24:25):
Are you done with the cold? Well on Saturday, March 29th
we've got something to warm you up.

It will be over a dozen stars inattendance.
Make sure to head on over to ticktree.com to get your tickets

(25:17):
warriors. We've kind of touched on them a
little bit. Got to meet him, got to work
with him quite a few times and they were always very nice to
me. Talk about Joe and and Mike.
Yeah, it, it was, you know, so Iguess so Joe and I go back, you
know, recruiting him out of highschool.
We, we, we become best of friends.
Spent a couple years together playing college football
together. Met Mike later on after they

(25:40):
became A tag team and became a thing, you know, and created the
Legion of Doom and and and then really to work with them, you
know, in the early days when Ivan and I, you know, you know,
double, double rushing chain match or Oh my gosh, yeah, just
A tag match or whatever. I think great chemistry.

(26:00):
I think again, like, like I feelI had great chemistry with
Flair. I feel like I had great
chemistry with them. Magnum TA, the best of seven US
title, certain guys. They just felt like I stepped in
the ring with and it was like a if you want to say cliche, a
night off. You know, it wasn't it wasn't it
wasn't hard. It was just it was easy.
And certainly the Road Warriors made it easy.

(26:22):
Only Nikita would call the Road Warriors a night off.
Billy, Nobody else never heard that.
Oh, that's funny. That is funny that.
Is good. What about Ricky and Robert?
Yeah, they I cut my teeth. I learned from them, you know,

(26:46):
again in those that first thirteen months, I think, I
think they were my first official main event match in
Conway, SC where Ivan and I werewere, you know, were wrestling
the two of them for for the I think one of the at least one of
the first times. But and then work the program
with them, you know, drop the the world tag team belts on them

(27:08):
to to kind of put them on the map and then and then would
later win them back from them and it just kind of matches back
and forth. But you know, the underdog,
right, the the ultimate underdog, you know, you know,
everyone thought, you know, little guy, you know, these
little guys can't do anything against the Russian bear and the
Russian nightmare. But you know, they surprised
everybody by one of the belts and it kind of put them on the

(27:32):
map, so to speak. And and then from there, you
know, just felt like we had, youknow, just just great, really
great matches against them. Yeah, for sure.
They taught. They taught me a lot as well.
Love them too. Yeah, go ahead, Jimmy.
OK, so this this is actually funny.
A mutual friend of all three of ours.
Actually he has a lot to do withWolfie's start in the business.

(27:55):
I know that you got to know him about 10 years ago when you were
doing your TV show with the withyour daughter and your family
there. And I just got to know him
through working with a little bit in Nashville.
And that's Rick Reynolds. You know Rick right from out in
Tennessee. You actually came out and worked
at All Star Wrestling out there with him.
But anyway, Rick brought Wolfie into the business and he always

(28:17):
talks about you and he wanted tosay hey to you so.
Wanted to get that Columbia I think Rick Columbia, TN.
That's exactly right. Yeah.
Yes, Sir. Yeah, very cool.
Yeah, I wanted to say. I've known Rick since I was
about 8 years old. Wow, that's great.
That's crazy. That that's that's cool.
That's pretty cool. Yeah.

(28:39):
OK. And then my stepdad reference.
Yeah, it's. Cool, I got a real question now.
So I have to know this because Idon't think I've ever heard you
answer this question and I know that I would kick myself if I
didn't ask you this. So around 9798, WCW is kind of
taken over by storm. Not by the NWO, but by a

(29:01):
gentleman that breathes fire andsmoke and kicks butt and says
who's next in Goldberg? Nikita.
I cannot say this with a straight face that I do not
think that Goldberg was a NikitaKoloff RIP off.
But what what I would say is I couldn't I even maybe screamed

(29:23):
that at him and look at big events.
But anyway, I liked you when they called you Nikita, but talk
about Goldberg. But what did you?
Think when you saw him. I hear you.
What a what a metamorphose, right?
To transition from the nightmareinto Goldberg.
I know, right? Right.

(29:43):
I'm sure you heard that a lot when he happened.
When he came around, I'm sure people were like, Oh my gosh,
this is the Nikita resurrection or something.
What? What?
What did you hear around that time?
I'm sure. So, so no, it's a great
question. And So what this is the way I
understand it, I could be totally off the mark on this,
but I thought I heard that, you know, from, from Terry Taylor

(30:04):
himself. And maybe I'm mistaken.
I, I don't, I don't know. But when I walked away from
wrestling in, in N92 and, you know, found myself 11 months
later on, on a completely different trajectory, a
different path. You know, a lot of people know
my story. It was at that moment, October

(30:25):
17th, 1993, that surrendered my life to to Christ and and became
a Christ follower and, and beganpursuing, you know, that path
that eventually led me into fulltime ministry.
I I thought I wasn't really watching wrestling.
I can't you know, it was a chapter in my life very grateful

(30:46):
and thankful and I kind of didn't have time for for TV, but
I started hearing stories right. So I started hearing about him
and then one somewhere somehow like that he was in a magazine
and and I was in a like a session, but like a where are
they now kind of thing. And, and in the magazine he was
talking about Co-op for Christ ministries.

(31:08):
And I'm a minister and evangelist and all that.
And, and had my picture and had his picture and I'm like, Oh my
gosh, he's like, I can vividly remember this.
I like like folded the pictures in half and put them side by
side. That is like, wow, that's pretty
a dead. I mean, wow, that looks pretty,
pretty similar, you know, and, and then even people started

(31:32):
saying the mannerisms and different things.
You know, instead of the sickle,it was the spear and he was, you
know, checking out the tongue and just a different.
And then I believe Terry told mein those early days that that he
had flashed some some past masses of mine as he was
training. Him.

(31:53):
So that's where I, I perhaps some of the similarities maybe
came from. If if you ever talk to Terry
Taylor, see if that if he confirms that and if that is
100% bona fide truth. But that that's the way I heard
the story and why, why there's so many similarities and and

(32:14):
mannerisms the way, the way I the way I understand it.
So that. Makes a lot of sense.
That makes a lot of sense, actually.
Yeah. Thank you.
I know you're looking forward toGrapple CON 2 coming up.
Where can the people go to get this book?
Well, let, let me, let me just on the Grapple CON, let me just

on there, you know, got, you know, got just tons of stories,
marriages being restored, relationships with sons and
daughters and, and dads and, and, you know, and, and, and

(35:30):
yeah, just a great, great outreach that Lex and I have
there in in Georgia. So go to coaloff.net, check it
all out and I'm sure, I'm sure everybody will, will find
something there that that they may interest them.
Yeah. Very cool man Thank you, Thank

(35:50):
you. Thank you for coming on and for
for a shoot. Please tell Dan Spivey that
Wolfie D said hello when you seehim.
Thank you. I will.
So I'm not going to see either of you guys at the grapple CON.
No, we're both up. He's in Charlotte and I'm over
in Kentucky, so yeah. Yeah, you're in.
You're just, you're still, you're in Charlotte.
You still throw away, man. I know.

(36:13):
Jimmy's in Charlotte, I'm in Kentucky.
But yeah. I could have.
I could have. I'm the Yeah, Wolfie's in
Kentucky. I could have bought you lunch,
though. Anytime you want that in the
can, let me have. Great.
You're, you're a bit in Charlotte, Jimmy.
Yes, Sir. I'm in Mooresville, up in off of

Because I got a little office inFort Mill and a little place in

(36:34):

We're now that I know that. Yeah.
We may have to break some bread together, Jimmy and and it's
been it just get to know each other a little more so.

That was Nucky Dah and how awesome was that?

(37:18):
And we will be right back with something we ain't done in a
minute. And it's called ass Wolfie D
Anything DJ. Listen to some commercials and
now a word from our sponsor. Are you a pro wrestling fan?

Corner on Facebook and give us aholler.

(38:03):
Remember, cheers to the working man.

(38:29):
All right, we are back with Ask Wolfie D Anything, man.
First off, we got to start off talking about Nikita Koloff.
Dude, wow. Yeah, that was really good, man.
Really a pleasure and honor to have him on.
Really cool, you know, And I never got to meet him in person,
but man, he almost acted like heknown me for years.
Man, he's he's just got that wayabout him, brother.

(38:52):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, we've for sure want to
thank you, Captain Corner, Nick, for helping us out with that
one. You know, we've really
appreciated this little run we've had with you.
But man, Nikita Koloff, bro, that's that's that was one we
never thought we would even get right.
Right. No shit, right?
Yeah, well, thank you, Nikita, and we definitely appreciate
that. But man, oh man, Wolfie, this

(39:14):
has been highly requested, the return of Ask Wolfie.
All we say is keep the real questions coming, brothers, you
know? Keep them coming, you know?
We had to, we had to let y'all refresh because we were getting
a lot of duplicates and right and just stuff like weird stuff.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I mean in your you loved

(39:34):
both your gimmicks, PG13 and slash.
Yeah, you love them for two different reasons, but at the
same time you loved them both. So we do have some questions for
you brother. So the first one is from at John
Lewis 6196 on YouTube. And John has been one of the
biggest promoters for bringing back Ask Wolfie.

(39:56):
So John, this was for you buddy.OK, so he said.
I'm glad you brought back Ask Wolfie D anything.
I got a question for Ask Wolfie.Who would you rather watch,
Prime like prime Jerry Lawler orprime Hulk Hogan?
I never liked Hogan when he would start hulking up, I
thought it was stupid. But when Lawler would pull the

(40:17):
strap, I thought it was real. Man, I would I'd have to go with
Lawler prom and in the hulking up man, it was kind of corny,
but I mean there's lots of guys that have done a similar fashion
of that, you know what I'm saying?
So you know, and then he he justtook it to that when he I think

(40:42):
he got it exaggerated more as time went on.
You know, first it wasn't as comical looking on, you know,
but and then it got worse as when time went on.
But yeah, definitely. And I've said this to a lot of
people, man, I know you've heardme say it 1000 times, is that
when Lawler pulled that strap, he was walking down the streets
of Memphis. Motherfuckers would take off

(41:03):
running. Yeah.
It's like, oh shit. And I swear I hated that, man.
That's one thing I hate about WWE, man.
It's like he didn't pull the strap, you know?
It was like thing there and I hated that.
I know, I know I can that that is such a great thing.
But but it didn't. It's like they guess that they
didn't think it fit his heel, you know, gimmick or something.

(41:26):
I don't. Know, but yeah, and maybe the
maybe the fan base at that time when he, you know, they, they
wouldn't really know what was going on.
Yeah, I don't know. Maybe they because, you know, if
it feels like now, like if you're a fan of WWE or, you
know, if you watch wrestling, you kind of know a little bit
about everything because of the Internet and things.
So yeah, I don't know that that they would would have been ready

(41:48):
for that back in the 90s. No, that makes sense.
That makes a lot of sense actually.
But the hulking up, man, that's so classic, right?
I mean, honestly, it's called hulking up, you know, so.
Yeah, yeah. I mean, I've heard that used,
you know, like guys going over stuff Hulk up a little bit, you
know, not necessarily do it justlike him, but that like call on
a match, you you give him that Hulk up a little bit.

(42:10):
Yeah, the Hulk up that fits yourstyle.
Like you're not gonna stand there and shake and brother,
brother, brother, you know, Yeah.
But maybe like tell me no self. Yeah, you're right.
Right. Yeah, exactly.
We'll call it Wolfie up from nowon.
How about? I wolfied up a few times.
I'm sure you've wolfied up a cop.
Might have wolfied up myself every once in awhile.

(42:34):
Oh yeah. Anyway, all right, well, the
next question again is from JohnLewis.
Like I said, he was. So he was so disappointed that
we took it away for a minute. So he has made it his one man
mission to bring this bad boy back.
We had to let them Hulk up. Didn't we?
Right Yeah, John, Hulk up. Yeah, you need to start hulking

(42:57):
up with the questions or Wolfiesgoing to drop the strap.
I'm. Going to cut you off.
Oh, man. All right, so question for ask
Wolfie D anything now this is going back to The CW Bergstrom
and I was a little bit I think I've understood it since then.
But basically he's asking, he's he says please explain to me

(43:20):
what he CW meant or what you think he meant when he said he
went for a ride with Lawler and Pringle.
It's funny you say that too, because I I went for the I went
for the ride, as they say. I don't know if you guys over
went for the ride with Lawler and Percy Pringle.

(43:43):
You know, I was in the band and I'm.
I'm at a loss. I'm not sure what we're talking
about here. And they were asking me a lot of
questions. Oh, so you made it right.
Answered a lot of those questions wrong, you know what
I'm saying? Yeah.
That's all I can say all. Right.
All right. I think I'm kind of in on it,

(44:04):
but I, I, I'm pretty sure I kindof get your drift.
Yeah, yeah. But it was a great ride because
I mean, I was, you know, it was after the show.
I I think we were like in Lawleror something.
Oklahoma. It seemed like Lawler Oklahoma
because everybody knew him. I mean, even the police force
and everything, man, they pulledthis over.
You know how they used to have roadblocks all the time?

(44:26):
Yeah, well, right through Lawler.
Oh, Mr. Lawler, how you doing? Yeah, go on through.
You know, man, dude, he's, he's definitely the king for a
reason, man. Oh, yeah, You know why they call
him the King after you've been there?
For sure, For sure. Yeah, man.
Yeah. It's like the Burger King.
He gets the big way, you know what I'm saying?
Do. You remember when he said that?

(44:48):
Yeah, yeah. And I mean at the time when he
said it, because he said it in adifferent way, didn't he, he?
It almost was like a little, it seemed a little, you know,
what's the word I'm looking for?Like it seemed, it seemed to
have multiple meanings. Again, there was a gimmick to it

(45:08):
or something. Right, right.
Like they could have involved. We'll just say female.
Sure, Yes, without saying any names.
Right, right. Without saying any names, but
is, is that the vibe you took? Because here's what I was taking
from it. Almost like they did a ride and

(45:29):
this sounds stupid now that you've said something with some
knowledge to it. But the out that they took a
ride and they would take new guys to the territory on a ride
to see if they knew what they were doing or not.
But I mean, that's quite possible too.
But man, many people didn't get to ride with Lawler.
I know I could tell you were a little jealous.
Unless, unless they were doing some favors for Lawler and his

(45:54):
female companion at the time. I see what you're saying.
So yeah. Because I know for a fact there
was one person, I'm not saying names one person that I know
that Lawler threatened to fire him for not showing up at his
house and servicing the person. OK, swear to God.

(46:17):
OK, So that could be. And, you know, Bergstrom was a
big dude. That person was kind of into the
big muscular men, you know? OK, OK, OK.
Could have been, could have been.
I'm just saying. Could have been a cowboy anyway.
Yeah, man. OK, now that's putting a totally

(46:40):
different life. Yeah, I mean, I could.
Be way off the mark, but I don'tthink I am.
Yeah, OK, yeah, cuz you've you've heard a few things.
Yeah, OK, I got it. And so him bringing, I mean, cuz
you, have you ever been to Lawler's house?
No, I've been in the driveway. I've been in the driveway.
I didn't even get to get Randy. Had to go do grab something or
whatever and I just waited in the car.

(47:03):
So he's here's this guy that's coming from the Pacific
Northwest, right? He's, he's, he's coming in with
the the principal gimmick. And I mean, nothing wrong with
that. CW is a cool guy.
I'm not knocking him, but he's kind of coming in and I mean,
and then you've, you're a lifer.Yeah.
And you're like, wait a second, daddy.
Yeah, anyway, OK. Well, you know, me and Jamie

(47:25):
were party guys. Right.
And Lawler is not. Yeah, yeah.
And and if you know you didn't get those kind of opportunities
if you did that kind of thing. You chose A or BA had some perks
for sure and B had some perks and then you just picked the

(47:46):
perks you like. Never mind, just kidding.
Anyway, so all right, so that was funny yeah okay, so does
that make any sense, John? I hope it does.
If not, we're not going into it any further.
So all right, the next question is from Kyle Samples on YouTube.
And this was pivoting back to the Wolfie and Kagas match.

(48:06):
Okay, so he says great match Wolfie and Cahigas.
What's the name of the valet? Please hold on.
Don't know. And I remember when you planted
Samantha with a pile driver during a match in Memphis.
Have you ever pile driven other valet?

(48:28):
Definitely. Hold.
On Oh God that. Just that just struck you as
funny, huh? Oh my God, I don't know, man,

(48:56):
That I've given a pile drive to any other chick.
I don't. I don't know.
I don't think so. I know I've done the the
spanking spot and stuff like that but.
Mickey. James.
Oh, yeah. Whirly Billy and Mickie James.
That's right, yeah. But the pile driver was not

(49:16):
something of the normal repertoire, let's just say that.
Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I forgot about that man. Bless little Mickey for doing
that. Yeah, I jumped her ass.
Poor thing, man. She probably didn't weigh
nothing, did she? Like no.
Yeah. It's like, holy crap, is there
somebody on my back? Yeah, yeah.

(49:39):
Yeah. Oh, well, then she gave me her
corona off the top. Yeah, yeah.
Which? Not a bad position to be in.
It's not I'm going to. Say something there, but I
decided not to anyway. The the name of the valet.
I just, there's a bad history there and I'm just not going to

(50:02):
put that in. Yeah, Hoss Funk I think was what
they named her, right? Yeah.
She was not a hoss. Crazy.
OK crazy. Maybe go watch the video again
and see if listen really close and see if you can hear it if
that way might tell you. But other than that bad history.

(50:22):
Let's just leave it in the past.Yeah, it was a great match
though, and I appreciate the compliment.
It was and you know. To be honest, she took that bump
like a champ. I got to give her that.
Yeah, yeah. Yeah, she did good.
Yeah, well, hey, by the way, Cahigas has been a total MVP for

(50:42):
us man too, so. Yeah, for sure.
Thank him immensely. I mean, he's helped us get some
super cool guests, so thank you.But yeah, man, that's all the
questions I got for this fine addition of Ask Wolfie D
Anything. Yeah, fine addition to the show
as well. Nikita Koloff, brother.
I know man. All right, all right.
Well, so next week should be, but we'll we'll try to top it.
