331 – What gives you a sense of self-worth?

Over the years, I've met some people who are very, very wealthy.

I've also met people who probably didn’t have $20 to their name. And lots of people in between.

Some of these very wealthy people, even though they have been incredibly successful in many areas of their life, have a very low sense of self-worth.

And a few of the homeless people I’ve met, who don’t have enough money to get a good meal, have a remarkable sense of their own value as a human being.

Of course, this isn’t always the case, but it’s kind of the opposite of what you might expect.

So I’ve been thinking about self-worth:

  • What is self-worth?
  • Where does it comes from?
  • How do you find your own-self-worth?

Your self-worth is rooted and grounded in your relationship to God as His image and likeness.

You may not always see it, but your self-worth is always here because it’s part of your identity as a child of God.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
