The Black Curtain Club kicks off Season 2 with a nostalgic bang as Kyle and Angi reconnect after their summer adventures.

Kyle's journey back to Connecticut for a cousin's wedding turned into a travel nightmare, yet amid the chaos came profound family moments, particularly when all the cousins gathered under one roof for the first time in nearly two decades.

Angi's Hilton Head vacation delivered both relaxation and adventure, from her mind-blowing first experience at Buc-ee's (complete with 120 gas pumps and a legendary brisket sandwich) to a private dolphin tour and fulfilling a bucket list item by participating in paranormal investigation using the Estes Method – a ghost hunting technique involving spirit boxes and sensory deprivation that delivered genuinely spine-tingling results.

The conversation takes a surprisingly emotional turn when Angi reveals that she finally completed Red Dead Redemption 2, a gaming experience so powerful it made her cry three times – something she'd never experienced with any video game before. Her emotional attachment to her in-game horse "Cheese" and the character's journey became so profound that she sent Kyle a voice message of her sobbing after a particularly moving game sequence, creating a shared moment of genuine connection through digital storytelling.

Season 2 is already shaping up to be more personal and engaging than ever. Tell a friend about the show, leave a rating or comment, and join us as we continue exploring life's adventures – both digital and real – from behind The Black Curtain.

Yeah, hot is an understatement, I don't know
about you, but it's been like 90for like ever over here, so
fuck that.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah, oh my God, this heat wave can bite it.
So, yeah, we had a little bitof vacation.
I know I got some vacation timein and you did too, if you can
call it vacation yeah, so, god,you got to get the hell out of
town, right?

Speaker 2 (01:41):
yeah, but like, don't get me wrong, everyone back
home, we hear, is just gettingall pissy, I feel like.
But it's like whenever we goback to like, we make our what
is it our migration back to themotherland, to the homeland of
of west haven, connecticut, it's.
Uh, it's really.
We have so little time and wegotta to cram seeing everybody

(02:07):
into it, and so it's like, okay, plan this, plan that.
So it's like we're there.
We were there for like fivedays four or five days,
something like that one and it'sjust like I don't even want to
talk about the fucking nightmarethat it was getting there.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
I was going to say you had a hell of a time with
your flights.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
I'll just sum it up getting there, I was going to
say you had a hell of a timewith your flights.
I'll just sum it up this way Iwas supposed to get to my
parents' house at 4 o'clock inthe afternoon and still have the
day and dinner and have somepeople come over.
I walked through their door at4.30 in the morning the next day
.
Man, yeah, shout-outs toChristina and shout out to Frank

(02:45):
.
Shout out to them.
She's a real MVP.
She was my wife's best friendwho was supposed to pick us up
and she drove back and forthfrom New York and New Jersey.
She put an insane amount ofmiles on her car that day
picking up and waiting for us.
So shout out to love her.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Yeah yeah, thanks for taking care of our co-host
there.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Yeah yeah, other, yeah yeah thanks for taking care
of our co-host there.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Yeah, yeah, other than that it was fun.
Oh, I had a blast on myvacation yeah, I was gonna say I
I can't even like.
I mean, we drove from, basically you know, west
virginia to um hilton head anduh.
So it was a hell of a road tripWent with a couple of really
good friends Shout out to Joeand Candy hey girl what?

(03:33):
up bitches.
Hey, Hi, girl.
Yeah, we had a great time.
I mean, it was just everythingthat you could possibly want for
a vacation, you know, justunplugging, relaxing.
You could possibly want for avacation you know, just
unplugging, relaxing.
Lots of time by the pool, lotsof time at the beach, you know a
little shopping.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
You got to try Buc-ee's.
Yeah, oh my God, you got to tryBuc-ee's.
Hell yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Yes, first time ever at a Buc-ee's, and let me tell
you this one that we we stoppedat.
I've never seen a place thisbit, I mean like a gas, and
basically it's like a gasstation, right.
120, 120 pumps yep, you went tothe big one hell yeah, and and
so you know like trying to finda place to get gas was

(04:21):
interesting in itself, but thenyou walk in.
It's like a whole new world.
It's like a whole new world Ijust, I just have never
experienced anything like that.
It was literally like a sea ofpeople like full, with like a
current going this way and acurrent of people going the

(04:43):
other way and people grabbingsandwiches and like all kinds of
I mean.
It was crazy yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Yeah, hell yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Yeah, so I did take your recommendation and I tried
the brisket sandwich.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Hell yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
It was good I have to tell you.
It was a hell of a sandwich, yeah yeah, hell yeah, but the uh
did you did you check?

Speaker 2 (05:09):
did you get to check out the bathroom there?
No, no, because apparently thatthat was a brand new thing to
me, like the first time I wentto a bucky's, I had to go to, uh
, I had to go to houston forwork a couple years, uh, last
year, before, something likethat one that was my first time
at a bucky's in houston and uh,I was telling them because, oh,

(05:31):
like I haven't had anything fromthere, you know, and they were
just like oh you gotta oh my god, you gotta go, you gotta get
this, you gotta think.
I was like, all right, and nowthis was just a normal gas
station with like 10 pumps, likeeight to ten pumps.
It was literally just like agas station.
But it was still like dude, itwas next level.
But they were always like, makesure you go to the bathroom,
check out the back.
I was like why is there, like I, what's so good about the

(05:51):
bathroom?
He goes like that's one of thethings that bucky's is known for
is having the cleanestbathrooms.
I was like, for listen, youguys aren't really selling me on
this place.
If, like, what they're knownfor is having clean bathrooms, I
don't know if I want to try thefood.
And there was like no the spood.
The spood spood speaks foritself.
Yeah, the food speaks foritself.
I was like okay, fine.
I was like bro, I'm like okay,yeah, it's a clean bathroom.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
That's dope, you know , so is mine sometimes yeah, no,
I, I didn't know the bathroomswas a thing it was.
I was lucky one grab a sandwichand then I grabbed some beaver
nuggets.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Yeah, definitely got some of those.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Actually, I still have like half a bag here at the
house and it's been a while.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Bless you.
Bless you for havingself-control.
I don't think I would have madeit to the destination.
I would have just I would havethrew them at my face at mock
fuck.
I would have just by, like whatis it?
Meiosis, mitosis, whatever itis with the cells?
I would have just absorbed itinto my face.
They're so good, they're sogood, they are really good.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Um, and then just trying to get through the sea of
people to get like, look at allthe bucky gear.
Um, because I, you know, Iwanted to get a couple t-shirts
and you, you know just somethings, cause I didn't know if I
, when I'll ever be back toanother Bucky's, um, but yeah,
that was a hell of an experience.
I cannot tell you how excitedCandy was, um, and I know you

(07:20):
don't know Candy, but literallyokay.
So we drove, drove like halfway, we stayed at a hotel.
She found this bucky's and wewent like a half an hour out of
the trip.
so you know, we took a half anhour detour you took a detour,
bucky's, I thought you're gonnapass one fuck, yeah, no, no,
just a detour just to go tobucky's and, uh like, when she

(07:43):
was driving and this was only atthe intersection, and we see
Bucky, we see the sign, we seeit's like you know, like the
heavens open up, she startsdoing this dance and screaming
and she was so excited I'm I soshe got to go and she got to
have her picture made with Bucky, so I had to.

(08:05):
I'm so glad that she got thatexperience.
That was wild.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Hell yeah, bucky's man Closest we get.
I don't know if you have themin your area.
Still, I know they got them inlike Pennsylvania and Jersey,
which is a bit of a hike.
You guys got Wawa's over there.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
No.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Bummer, which is a bit of a hike.
You guys got wawa's over there.
No, uh, bummer, I grew up onthat shit which is like it's
like new england-esque, I really.
I say I don't know where thefuck it's from, it's east coast.
I'll say it's like east coastmonkeys.
It's kind of like that staplegas station, um, you know, deli
sandwich shop, whatever the hellis the gas station that's got
decent ass food.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Yeah, that's what I grew up on, but we have sheets
yeah, sheets, yeah, so I mean, you know, the only thing that I
can't live without are theirmozzarella sticks.
There's something about thesheets mozzarella sticks.
I don't know what they put inthem, god, they're so good.
So we did um a couple reallycool things.

(09:06):
You want me to tell you aboutthem yeah yeah that sounded so
pretentious so we got to go on adolphin tour.
Well, we saw wild dolphinseverywhere.
A lot of the things that we didwas like planned, like last

(09:27):
minute.
We were just like, hey, whatare we going to do?
Oh, we want to do this, and sowe were hauling around trying to
find some places because wewanted to go, like the next day
to do dolphin tour, or so theyhave some islands there that are
, you know, depending on thetide, they you can either see
them or they disappear, andthere's like you can go shelling

(09:48):
and so we want to do somethingcool like this.
So we ended up talking toDolphin Discoveries of Hilton
Head and I have to give a shoutout to them and a special shout
out to Captain Craig.
Captain Craig was amazing.
Candy and I ended up on aprivate boat tour and he took us

(10:09):
to a couple really cool islands.
We got some really, really coolshells.
He just took us like everywhereand he just took really good
care of it.
He was hell of a good time.
But the coolest thing is we gotto pet some dolphins.
We didn't get to feed thembecause I think there's like
some legalities there, but wedefinitely got to play with them

(10:30):
a little bit and that was socool.
That was so cool to have like alittle one-on-one.
So shout out to Captain CraigThank you so much for taking
care of Angie and Candy, if youremember us.
Hell yeah, hell yeah for takingcare of uh, angie and candy, if
you remember us.
Hell yeah, hell yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
I, I'm not, I'm neither of them, captain craig,
but thank you very much then wewent into savannah, which I have
to tell you is that, that songso captain craig told us about
this.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
I'm just ignoring that, I'm just so, I'm trying to
think if it, I feel like it wasthe.
It's a Marriott hotel inSavannah.
So Kath and Craig told us aboutthis and he was like if you go,
you've got to check this out.
So in this hotel they have likedinosaur bones.

(11:27):
Fossils it's like you walkfossils.
They're fossilized bones, okay.
So, anyway, you walk into thismassive hotel and you're greeted
by a stainless steel replica ofsome I can't remember what
dinosaur it is um like thefossilized bones but it's it's

(11:52):
all in stainless steel, soyou're greeted by that, but they
have like tons of like fossilsand gemstones.
And when I say like gemstonesI'm saying like there was a
geode that you could crawl intoand take a nap in.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
It was humongous A ruby the size of a tangerine.
That was a solid Michael Caine,Hold on.
Shout outs to me.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
That was fucking solid.
I think I've done michael caintwice including.
Then go on.
Yeah, that was good shout outto you, uh.
So the coolest thing, though,we got to do and this is like
right up my alley we went likean actual ghost hunting
experience.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
So I thought you went to the world's biggest bathtub
for a bubble bath.
No, well, I mean trust me ifthey would have had that, I
would have opted for that, yes.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
Shout out to Ghost Hunters of Savannah Paranormal
Investigation.
I know that's a mouthful.
I think our tour guide's namewas Katie, If I got that wrong.
I'm so sorry.
And the cool thing was thatthey had all of this
state-of-the-art equipment.
So they had, like, laser grids, they had REM pods, Like

(13:19):
anything that you can think ofequipment-wise to go ghost
hunting.
They had that and you couldactually use that equipment,
Sure sure.
Phantasmal bugs.
What?

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Nothing Proceed.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Wait, my brain just emptied.
What did you say?

Speaker 2 (13:42):
I said sure, sure, Phantasmal bugs.
It's a Bob's Burger reference.
They have an episode where theyhave a couple of ghost hunters
come in because they think therestaurant Never mind Go.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Okay, I've never watched Bob's Burgers, so that
was lost on me.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
remember you haven't seen it next, next, please.
Yeah, you're hurting me.
You're hurting me about that.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
I know you're hurting me um, but I got to do one of
my bucket list things, which wasthe estes method of
investigating.
Do you know what that is?
I have, I've nope, absolutelyno clue okay, so um do you know
what a spirit box is?

Speaker 2 (14:22):
yeah, badass fucking band from canada shout out
spirit box.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Baby, I love you I do , I do like spirit box, yeah no,
I have no clue what a spiritbox is.
So what this is?
It's basically almost like aspecialized radio that it's
constantly scanning radiofrequencies.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
And the thought behind that is that the spirits
can pick up on those frequenciesand actually talk through those
frequencies.
So what you do is you basicallyyou hook up the spirit box to a
set of headphones and what theuser does is you're blindfolded

(15:08):
and you have your headphones on,like noise canceling headphones
, and the only thing that youcan hear is what's coming
through the spirit box.
And you're blindfolded, so,like your, your senses are as
dulled as possible as to yourenvironment.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
So, what.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
What happens is the people that are in the room,
they ask questions or they talkto whatever spirits are in the
room, and then your job ifyou're the one that that you
know has the headphones on andall that you're just repeating
what you hear, and so, basically, you know it's, it's really up

(15:50):
to the people in the room thatthat have to give you some
validation you know they're,they're the validators that what
you're hearing is actually likea response to whatever
questions, cause, like, I haveno idea what they were asking,
all I'm, all I'm getting is,like it would say like um, uh,

(16:11):
it, it.
It kept saying like a sequenceof numbers, um, and then, like
there were certain phrases thatit kept repeating, and you know
so that that was really cool.
Um, there was a girl on ourtour.
She got really freaked outbecause she wanted to try it,
and as soon as she got theblindfold on and put the

(16:33):
headphones on, something throughthat that said her name uh fuck
that noise.
Yeah, fuck that and that'sexactly what she said.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
She was like nope, nope, I'm, I'm done, I'm I would
be, I'd be, I'd be so fuckingout like I would literally you
know what?
I wouldn't.
Even I was gonna say I would dothe scooby-doo thing.
We're like go, go, go, go, likerun in place and then run, and
like my beard would followafterwards.
I think I would literally justlike I dream of genie, just like
cross my arms and like nod myhead and I'm somewhere else.

(17:03):
I would be out of there, sofucking fast oh, man, I was.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
I mean, this was like .
This was, like you know, my, myhappy place.
I, I was, so it was.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
It was so much fun and I just that's your happy
place of it yeah, yeah, see Ilike weird shit.
Do you, do you or have you seena therapist?

Speaker 1 (17:26):
I have seen this is my happy place?

Speaker 2 (17:30):
fucking ghost hunting in savannah, georgia, jesus
christ.
Most people say the beach, somepeople say, like you know the
woods, fuck, even like a store,a bookstore Barnes and Noble.
This is my happy place.
No, no.
18th century haunted asylums.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
This is I am.
I am zen here.
Yeah, this is this is where Igo for a good time.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
But yeah, so that was kind of like the long and short
of my vacation.
It was both long and short atthe same time, but it was much
needed.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
But yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
That's flight, and then my cousin's wedding.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Aw.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Well, no, my cousin's wedding.
It was like it was, like it wassomething like I, like she was.
I don't know if I talked aboutit last one, but she was like
the first of like the babycousins and shit was weird shit
was weird that like, dude, she'slike getting married and shit,
and one of my cousins did themath.

(18:32):
And by did did the math was thatlike kind of asked it in like a
group chat that my aunt had puttogether.
That was the first time thatall of the cousins were together
and under the same roof in anobnoxiously long time.
When I say obnoxiously long timewhen I say obnoxiously long

(18:53):
time, I think obnoxiously longtime.
I think I was in middle schoolthe last time all of us were
together because, like, oh wow,the oldest cousin joined the
navy and he, he's been all overthe world for the past shit, two
decades coming on.
I gotta be close.
It's closer to 20 than 10 in inyears that he's been in the

(19:17):
military and same thing.
You know, these ones live inthat state and that state.
So it's literally the firsttime in an insanely long time
that all of the cousins weretogether under the same roof,
which was pretty wild.
Yeah, and we went up to see mygrandparents a couple of days
before the wedding and, um,they're both, they're both, I

(19:42):
mean, they're both old, but uh,grandma's grandma's got
grandma's got some, uh, she'sgot some, uh, some brain issues
going on.
And my grandfather god blesshim, he's on, like his, I think
he's on his third set of kneesum, my grandfather can't move,
he, he can't, he can't reallymove all that well.
So it's hard for him to comedown to my parents to visit so

(20:02):
we gotta go to them, which Ihave no problem going out there
uh for sure it's so.
So we got to see at mygrandparents house, um, my
oldest cousin was staying therewith his daughter.
Then when we show up with ourdaughters and, like I said,
grandma kind of forgot you know, she's like, oh, there's, oh, my
god, like she recognized, likemy wife and my and my mother,

(20:25):
obviously, her daughter, um yeahand whatnot.
And then she saw the girls.
She recognized the girls, butshe had forgotten, like her,
relation to the girls and she'dasked like my wife.
She asked me like my wife, mymother goes who?
Like I know them?
But you know it was like whowere they to me?
I think she says, yes, thoseare your great-granddaughters,
and she goes.
Apparently she had.
I was outside with my fathersaying hi to my aunt and uncle

(20:47):
who were leaving.
I didn't get to see it but, yeah, both my mom and my wife
had told me that it's like mygrandmother had this
unbelievable, like just so muchlight and joy in her face.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
That's so sweet.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
Yeah, and so at that moment I think we got a couple
of pictures of it.
But she had all of her greatgrandkids with her.
She had three greatgranddaughters with her, so that
was that was incredibly magicaland very, very special, oh
that's great For us, for us tobe there for that Cause it was
just really like, just Becauseit was just really like, just it
wasn't a whole lot of people mytoddler she gets a little

(21:26):
skittish around some people, solike around my grandfather,
around guys specifically, aroundmales specifically.
So she was kind of like she'llkind of like stay away from like
my cousin and my grandfatherwere on one side of the room.
She kind of stayed closer tolike my mother and my wife and
my grandmother.
But before you know it, shewarmed up and she's got her
little dance routine.
She's doing for everybody, she's laughing and she's joking.

(21:47):
She said look at me, I'm aballerina and I'll dance hip,
I'll do this, and she's just thelife of the party.
Just, it was, it was nice, itwas really really.
Uh, it was something.
It was really something for uhfor that.
Yeah, that was nice and um, Igot to have got to have my

(22:07):
favorite pizza.
I got to have my favoriterestaurant in the whole wide
world, my favorite beer.
None of that shit comes outhere anymore, man.
Then we're finally, we'refinally getting.
We're finally getting yinglingin michigan and I'm so happy.
We literally get it like I can.
I can get it tomorrow.
Yeah, I think august 1st I canget it.
It's gonna be a place I can getit tomorrow.
Oh, I'm so.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
I'm sorry you've had to live that long without
yingling oh yeah, it's been aspecial.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
It's been a special treat.
Whenever family came out tovisit, they made sure to bring
it so to see.
This is why we love christinaso much, I think it was for
luna's sort of.
In his second birthday.
She was, uh, she was coming outand um, she was like hey, do
you guys want anything?
You know I'm driving out.
Do you want us to?
You know I can bring more stuffwith me.

(22:49):
What do you want?
And typically I was like oh,not this one.
I was like yangling, I'mfucking dying for yangling.
She bought 224.
She came out with 50 beers forme it was great, oh, it was
great.
24 of them 24 of them didn'tmake it through the day the
first day.
We drank a case that night.
The other one lasted me.

(23:10):
I shared one of the cases.
The other one, that 24, wasjust for me, which is great,
because my wife doesn't drinkbeer.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
You didn't hoard them back like Smeagol, like my
precious.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
Oh no, I was hoarding them like Smaug.
I slept on top of those.
I literally ate any one or setthem on fire if they looked at
them.
Yeah, I would harden them.
I should like Smaug I fuckinglove it man.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Oh, it's so good, that's great, but there's also
like a couple other, likebreweries back.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Yeah, uh, I miss them , I miss them so much.
But yeah and yeah, the best, best pizza in the whole goddamn
world.
I grew up right around thecorner from there.
Zoo parties, love you, motherlovers.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
I get every time so fucking good yeah, I know you've
been on rants before about thepizza yes, yes, yes.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
New haven pizza is the greatest pizza in the world.
Suck it, john, fuck you andyour new jersey pizza no, I
respect new york I just no, wejust hate john okay no, no, I'm
kidding.
No, john, no john.
Every group has that guy, john's that guy.
We just he's our, he's ourpunching bag.

(24:22):
It's just he takes the beating.
We love him so much.
He's great.
I love john, he's my dude, butyeah, no, but seriously though,
um, new jersey kind of sucksyeah, well, it's new jersey.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
What are you going to do?

Speaker 2 (24:41):
Oh God.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
So you know we're doing this new format right.
We're going to try for30-minute episodes and shorter
content and I have to say Ithought, like our vacation talk
would be like 10 minutes andthen I could tell you that I
finished Red Dead Redemption.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
But I can't because we're at the end of the half
hour.
Well, I guess we just got tohave another one, oh no, an
entire episode to talk about RedDead Redemption 2.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
Yeah, we have to.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
We have to Now that I'm through the game I want you,
I want, I need you to know.
I need you to know something.
I've gotten quite a fewmessages in my life.
I've gotten quite a few.
What is it like a voice memos, like sound clips?

(25:44):
Whatever?
The one you sent me is probablyone of my most cherished ones.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
The one where I'm like sobbing and crying.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
Okay, I'll let you say it first.
I mean this with my whole asschest.
I'm so serious.
I'm so serious because you knowhow much this game means to me
and to hear you see me, becauseI'm a stupid guy, I can't
actually like talk about oractually feel those emotions,
but the fact that you audiblyexpress the emotions I have

(26:18):
towards that game, it wasfantastic.
But yes, yeah, it was likeseven o'clock in the morning
when I woke up.
I looked at my phone oh, voicemessage I played it was the best
.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
It was the best, it really was so I cried three
times at this game and I'venever cried at a video game ever
, ever in my entire life.
So I I mean this game has beenout for a while, so I don't feel
like this is yeah, so spoileralert spoiler alert yeah, if you
haven't played it, you're onyour own fucking problems, right

(26:52):
?
but I was really upset.
Um well, I'll just say it thisway there's, there's a gunfight
where some of the charactersyou've been with for a while
don't make it um, and there wasone particular character that
the game's been out for a longtime, you could just name drop
them well, I know, but I, Idon't listen when we do the

(27:14):
episode.
I'm gonna yeah, so when we dothe episode we'll get into it.
So but then okay, so early onin the game you get enough money
and you can go buy a horse, right, and I know that there's
like this whole thing where youknow you can go and you know get
tame horses and you could havea whole stable full of horses.

(27:38):
But I developed a relationshipwith my horse that I named
Cheese Cheese and early on I wasreally upset because I thought
I lost cheese like I went in todo something and the horse was
gone and I was like where thefuck is cheese like cheese is
gone.
I was so upset, but anyway I Igot cheese back, played the

(28:01):
whole game with cheese and thefuckers killed my horse right at
the end.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
They killed your cheese.
They cut your cheese rightthere.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
They cut my cheese, and that's when I started crying
.
I started crying at that pointbecause of like you there's,
it's like a really climaticclimactic oh, yeah, okay, okay
yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
I was about to say you're underselling this.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
You need to build the emotion against it, like you're
being shot at, you are, you areunder heavy fire yes, and and
like it is it is, your life ison the line and the life of your
best friend is on the line andthey've killed your horse and
everyone's like we got to go andhe's like wait a minute.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
He took the moment to kneel.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
To kneel and to caress and kiss and tell her.
And say thank you, thank you,and tell and tell her like thank
you, thank you, like you'veyou've been a you've like you've
you.
Oh, I'm gonna get upset cryingabout cheese again oklahoma,
where this song right oklahoma.
But yeah, so that that startedthe crying and then like so I'm

(29:22):
literally trying to play therest of the game with like tears
on my eyes and I'm like tryingto like I gotta be able to see
fight and shoot and fight offall this other crap yeah, and
it's.
It's literally like I meanyou're, you're playing so hard
at that moment like my, my handsare getting sore from playing.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
Your hands probably look like your character's face
at that point.
They're just so.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
So mangled like cramping, but then the end of
that game.
It's beautiful.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
And you know that I tried.
It's beautiful.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
Well see, I didn't know anything.
You know like I don't.
I didn't know anything aboutthe honor system when I first
started, so I went a littlecrazy.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
So you're playing this game like it's GTA.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
Yeah, I was playing, getting a lot of frustration out
Like I would, you know, just belike oh, I've had a shitty day,
so I'm just just gonna go killa train full of people?

Speaker 2 (30:27):
um, not out of context that sounds fucked up,
yeah uh.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
So then I had to.
I was on the struggle bus for along time to get my honor back
up, so I had the good ending andthe perfect ending and and
that's what I ended up getting,and I'm so glad that I did.
It was so beautiful oh yeah, because the bad endings.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
Oh, oh god, the bad endings you'd been.
You thought you were mad at theway the game ended then, oh,
you would have literallyscreamed.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
You'd have literally screamed yeah, I, I did a little
cheating and I read about thebad because I was like, well,
what's the bad ending what?
Because there's a choice youhave to make, right, and I
remember you telling me.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
There's, I think there's four, I think there's
four different endings.
You can high honor.
High honor go with John and lowhonor go with john.
High honor get the money, lowhonor, get the money.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
Yeah, yeah and and so like I I was so like I know I
need to make good choices andI'm so glad that I made the
choices that I did because I gotthe high honor.
Go with john uh ending and allI wanted to and all I wanted to.
I wanted to see that stag, youknow in the sunset or the

(31:44):
sunrise and and the music, thatsong that's playing.
I mean they, oh my God, Likethey don't shake.
Yeah, it's just man, and andwell, and, and I will back up
and say I remember you tellingme that there was.
You go for like a last ride, there's sort of like a cinematic

(32:07):
, and you go for like a lastride and there's this music
playing.
That was an emotional moment.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
That's the way it is that song.
Yeah, that's the way it is.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
That was a very emotional I I just.
I've never played a game thatimmersed you so heavily that it,
it it brought out all theseemotions.
I it just, and we will do alonger episode on this.
But you know, god bless I'm Iam both.

(32:41):
I'm so happy that you uh, youdidn't really make me, but you
taught, you talked about it insuch a way that I was, like,
wanted to play the game you got.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
You gotta see what it's like.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
I didn't like hold you down, it was like you gotta
play this fucking game, butright, yeah, but I was like all
right, this dude's like I knowwhat this game meant to you, so
like uh-huh and how it's likeshaped you in.
You know, in a certain way, umand so I wanted to play it,
because you know curiosity andyou know I I do like video games

(33:15):
, um, but I'm so glad that I didand uh, but I'm also kind of
like oh, my god, you put methrough the ringer by making me
play this game I mean you put methrough the ringer, but um, but
, yeah, yeah it's.
It's got to be one of the bestgaming experiences I've ever had

(33:37):
in my life.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
Hell yeah.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
Hell yeah, so fuck you, kyle.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
My humbled and personal opinion is I've played
quite a few games in my life.
It's the best game I've everplayed.
It is my favorite video game.
It is the best video game Ihave ever played and I've played
a lot.
I've probably played and I'veplayed a lot.
I've probably played more videogames than Hot Meals had in my
life.
I play a lot of games.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
Yeah, but I mean and I can see where this it would be
deemed like one of the, if notthe best, video game that's ever
been made.
It's it's the cinematics, theeverything it's just.
This game is just amazing, likethe detail that went into it.
And again we can you know we'llhave to do a whole episode on

(34:30):
it, but yeah, it was a hell ofan experience, so thank you for
that.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
You're very welcome.
Next I'll have to get you to geta playstation so you can play
the game that slugged it outagainst red dead, redemption 2

somebody out there uh wants todonate one or buy one for me,
yeah, after you donate her a ps5, if you can donate me an xbox
series x so I can playbattlefield 6 when it comes out

(35:23):
fucking awesome either way yeah,so if anyone wants to be a true
uh patreon of the podcast, biasgame systems so, uh, I guess we
need to wrap things up, becausewe got to keep to our format,
right, because you and I are.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
We could go on for two hours, especially talking
about Red Dead.
So we're going to wrap it up.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
I mean, look what we did with music.

Speaker 1 (35:53):
