In this episode, we aren't going to just ask and answer a bunch of questions about AR 670-1. No, we are going to focus on questions that are at a difficulty level that every SPC should be able to answer.

The episode is broken into 4 chapters:

The Pre-Test

The Lesson

The Re-Test

Repetition

Feel free to jump into the Pre-Test, and if you know everything, skip to the next difficulty level. If you want to know more about a question, stick around for the Lesson, where we will teach you what everything means. Then we'll re-evaluate at the Re-Test, and help you have it down consciously and sub-consciously in the Repetition chapter.

The questions we are going over are:

Who does not have to follow all of AR 670-1's uniform rules?

Who can shave a part into their hair?

If a Soldier is allowed to have a part, how should it look?

How do you wear the beret correctly?

Who wears the branch symbol on the patrol cap?

Who approves the design for unit patches, flags, and badges?

Who approves designs for Army symbols like seals, flags, and decorations?

Who can approve a new company, battalion, or brigade flag (guidon)?

What chapter in AR 670-1 talks about grooming and appearance?

Who checks each year for new tattoos in banned spots?

How many items can a Soldier wear on each wrist?

What does ECWCS mean?

What are the 5 situations where it's not okay to wear the Army uniform?

Welcome to the Board Questions podcast, where you can study for
your promotion or Soldier of theMonth board while driving,
commuting, or playing video games.

specialist and above should knowas they prepare to become NC OS.

(00:20):
Each of these episodes will start with a pretest chapter,
and if you confidently answer every question, move on to the
next most difficult episode and test yourself there.
If you didn't stick around and start the lesson chapter where
we will teach you each of the answers in the lesson phase.
Then the retest chapter will give you a chance to try again.

(00:41):
If you want to solidify your answers subconsciously, the
repetition chapter will repeat the questions and answers, and
you can solidify what you've just learned by repeating them
out loud. Let's get started with the
pretest. The pretest chapter.

(03:17):
pretest, skip this episode and move on to the next episode
where the questions will be a little harder.
If you want to learn more, let'sdive into the lesson chapter.
We will ask the question again, give you the answer, and then
explain why that is the correct answer and what it actually
means for you. The soldier question.

(03:37):
One who does not have to follow all of AR 671's uniform rules.
Units with special ceremonial uniforms, like the Old Guard.

(04:00):
historic traditions. Question Two, Who can shave a
part into their hair? Only soldiers whose hair doesn't
part naturally. If a soldiers hair naturally
parts, they can wear that part, but if it doesn't they are not

(04:22):
In Question three, if a soldier is allowed to have a part, how
should it look? A straight line where the hair
would normally part? If the part is authorized, it
must be a straight clean line. No designs or curves.

the left eye and the extra fabric pulled to the right.
The beret should be worn snugly with the edge sitting one inch

(05:08):
the Army expects. Question Five, Who wears the

This makes chaplains easy to identify even in the field.

patches, flags and badges? The assistant Secretary of the
Army The Assistant Secretary of the Army is the person who
approves all official designs, such as patches, flags, and
heraldic items. These designs represent units

(05:49):
and traditions, so they must go through a formal approval
process. Question Seven.
Who approves designs for army symbols like seals, flags, and
decorations? The Assistant Secretary of the
Army Just like with unit patches, the assistant secretary
also approves big picture army symbols like official seals,

(06:11):

battalion or brigade flag? Gaiden, The Assistant Secretary

in off limits places. This keeps everyone in
compliance and protects the army's image.

Only one on each wrist Soldiers can wear one item per wrist,
usually a watch or a bracelet. This keeps the appearance neat

(07:39):
and prevents extra items from becoming a distraction or safety
hazard. Question 12 What does ECWCS
mean? Extended Cold Weather Clothing
System ECWCS stands for ExtendedCold Weather Clothing System.

group events, or if it makes theArmy look bad?
