Ever wonder why success seems to attract negativity and haters? In this eye-opening episode, I share my personal journey through the waves of criticism I faced when my book was published, illustrating how negativity is often a sign that you're breaking societal norms and making strides towards success. We dive into the psychological traits that fuel such negativity, exploring how psychopathy, Machiavellianism, and narcissism play a role, especially for those daring to be different, like entrepreneurs. We also tackle broader societal concerns, from questioning the authenticity of social media to examining the trustworthiness of systems that govern our lives, urging you to hold firm to your goals despite external obstacles.

Inspired by the wisdom of Charlie Munger, we unravel the power of envy, even among the wealthiest, and discuss strategies to rise above it. This episode offers two powerful approaches to handling jealousy and negativity: first, by evaluating criticism for any truth and addressing it to disarm naysayers; and second, by shutting out the noise and focusing on your personal trajectory. The key is to keep moving forward and stay true to your path, using envy and negativity as stepping stones to propel your growth and success. Tune in to transform adversity into your greatest ally.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's do another episode about the haters.
I always hated it.
I hate you Haters, gonna hate.
Haters mean that you'reactually making some kind of
progress in whatever goal you'rechasing.
Typically it means that you'regetting to somebody.

(00:21):
Usually you're making them feelbad about themselves and that's
why people will go to hate.
Whether it's a hateful comment,whether it's some kind of
hateful connotation towards yourcharacter, defamation of your
character lies, but the truth ispeople who leave negative
comments they've done studieshave high traits of psychopathy,

(00:42):
machiavellianism and alsonarcissism.
Okay, three horrible traits, the dark triad, essentially.
But high levels, high numbersfor all of those different
traits.
So haters are going to come andgo On your journey to success.
You have to get used to thefact that people aren't going to
want to see you win when you gooutside of the matrix.

(01:02):
What does it mean to go outsideof the matrix?
What does it mean to have yourown system to build your own
thing?
See, one thing that you'regoing to see as an entrepreneur
is that people will call you afailure in the beginning when
you're not successful, whenyou're not making six figures a
year, when you're not, you know, driving nice Lamborghinis.
So a hater is essentially goingto attack your character.
They're going to attack who youare.

(01:24):
They're gonna attack yourproject.
They're gonna attack yourpersonality, everything you're
building.
And so people who do that, wecall them haters, people who
essentially will leave negativecomments in this comment section
.
Just nasty stuff, right, thepeople who will follow your
content.
They'll engage in your contentjust to write something nasty.
But the truth is, is this sucha bad thing to have engagement?

(01:46):
No, but it can be bad to havebad engagement at all.
Right, but at the end of theday, you have to be
controversial.
At the end of the day, you haveto have your own opinion.
Everybody's going to hate whatyou want to say.
Sometimes You're not going to beperfect, because sometimes the
things you do, you're going toget backlash for it.
For example, I wrote a book.
I got backlash from otherpolice officers.

(02:06):
They thought I shouldn't havewritten the book.
Listen, you know what.
We're all going to die one day.
Does it really matter whetheror not I wrote a book?
And it is what it is Now?
If you read my book, you'llfind that mostly the book is
about business, entrepreneurship, but also how I became a police
officer and yeah, you know howI succeeded and how I failed.

(02:26):
So it's about both and it's aself-help book.
It's about my journey, it'sabout my experience, it's about
things I've done, things I'mstill going to do.
You know, I wrote my bookknowing that I was going to
succeed in all of those things, because I know who I am.
I have a self identity.
Most people don't know who theyare.
Most people they go to work, they listen to the boss, they
wait for their chat to comeevery Friday or every other

(02:47):
Friday and they just basicallydo whatever they're told.
They just listen, they justplay by the rules, even though,
even if the rules completely goagainst their own religion, even
if the rules go against whattheir family believes in, most
will still follow the rules, because rules keep us in check.
Now, where do the haters startto come?

(03:09):
When do they start to come?
When do the haters start tocome?
The haters are going to startcoming when you're starting to
really gain ground.
So when you start to beconsistent, when you start to
actively gain a presence, whenyou start to grind so hard that
you build some kind of following, or if whoever that hater is
heard about you from word ofmouth that tends to get to
haters a lot.

(03:29):
What probably happened if youare experiencing a hater is you
know they correlate you withsome part of who you used to be,
and that's the way a hater is.
Haters are going to label you acertain way.
Oh yeah, I knew this guy.
This guy was like this yearsago.
Or I heard about this guy.
He's doing this today.
Or I heard about this woman, orI knew this woman when she was

(03:51):
this age and she did this, andthis is how she is today, even
if I haven't talked to her inyears.
Is this moron number one?
Put moron number two on thephone.
That's why what are you stupid?
See?
That's the thing with humanbeings.
We don't realize that we're allgoing through a different war.
We're all fighting differentbattles.

(04:12):
Everything you see on socialmedia is fake.
Everything you see is fraud.
Everything you see iscompletely a lie.
It's just the way it is.
It's where we live in, right?
The elections that you thinkare so safe?
Totally going to be.
So I tell you.
I was sitting in an election uh,security, election security
meeting.
I had judges, lawyers there, afew other police officers.

(04:33):
We were talking about what toexpect during the 2024 election
and you wouldn't believe it.
Yes, it's always been a lawthat you don't need drivers.
You don't need a driver'slicense to vote.
So they say but who are theseillegal immigrants that are
coming across the border, thatwe're just allowing to be
registered?
We don't know who they are, butwe're just giving them a name,
we're giving them a socialsecurity number, we're giving

(04:54):
them all this stuff so that waythey can basically just fill in
a fake ballot or a fakeaffidavit.
So that way the lawyers canbasically just keep approving
all these fake people who don'teven live here, weren't even
born here.
No-transcript Well, does thatmake it right?
Isn't that a rule we shouldchange?

(05:15):
Maybe Isn't it weird that youcan't have cameras inside of a
polling center?
Oh well, that would affectpeople's ability to vote Bull.
What that does is allowelection fraud to happen.
What that does is allow foryour tabulation people to
essentially rescan ballots 30times for each candidate or for

(05:39):
whatever candidate they want.
Think about that for a minute.
But you can't know about it.
No cameras, no cameras insidethe voting center.
You know, if it wasn't for allthose cameras that were inside
some of those voting centers, wewould have never found all of
this fraud happening in 2020.
And yes, if you want to saythere was no election fraud in
2020, you're entitled to yourwrong opinion, but the fact is

(06:00):
there was.
The fact is, there absolutelywas election fraud.
You can go on TwitterX rightnow.
You type it in election fraud, you'll see everything you need
to know All the ballots thatwere thrown away, all the
ballots that were burned, allthe ballots that were ripped up
by anti-Trumpers, all theballots that were not accounted
for, that essentially gotscanned a million times for one

(06:23):
candidate Biden.
All the pipes that burst, thecybersecurity attacks, the power
outages, all the things thatyou could see in 2024 that might
delay the time of an electionbeing fully counted.
Yeah, so this is what they weretalking about at this election
security meeting.
They were talking about how, ohyeah, you can expect, you know,

(06:46):
you might see hazmat events, you might.
And, yes, somebody is going tosay well, brendan, this is
they're only talking aboutthings that might happen.
They're just trying to preparefor what could happen.
Okay, but there's nopreparation.
From what I heard, in that theyhad no plan for anything, and
it was these horrible answers.
It was like, oh yeah, if youhappen to see a ballot box

(07:07):
smoking and if you happen to seethat somebody throws a match in
the ballot box, don't worryabout it.
You can't do nothing because atthe end of the day, don't worry
about it.
You can't do nothing because atthe end of the day we don't
have the ballots watermarked.
But you know, we'll justtimestamp it from the time they
turned in their ballot and fromthe time.
But it's like, if they'reburned, how do we know who it is
?
So if somebody fully burns allthe ballots in a ballot box,

(07:30):
then that's just done.
What if it's in a high?
What if it's in a bigdemographic area for Trump
supporters or come, all voterseven?
But I assume that the peoplewho are going to try to steal
this election again are going tobe Democrats.
Just saying All I know is howmuch you want, how much do you
love your country?
As a police officer, I sat inthis room.

(07:51):
So haters, your haters shouldbe your number one motivators.
If your head's in the rightplace.
You need to look at your hatersand understand that they're
probably going through a lot ofgrief, a lot of pain, a lot of
negative things in their ownlife and they want to take it
out on you and they want tobring you down.
So that should motivate you andit should also make you
understand that person more likewow, this person is so damaged

(08:14):
and so hurt by whatever it is.
I said no, no, no, no, no.
That person is so hurt becauseof something going on in their
own life, something going on intheir own mind, and that's the
truth behind a hater.
That's why it doesn't pay to bea hater.
It's not really necessarilybeneficial to be a hater.
Haters don't really win life.

(08:34):
See, haters tend to stay rightwhere they're at and pretty much
they'll be like that forever.
The thing about a hater is,because of all the hate they
have, they don't have motivation.
They don't have intrinsicmotivation, they don't have
focus.
So they get so wrapped up ineverybody else's life, so
everybody else's goals, whatever.
It might be that essentiallythey just want to tear yours

(08:55):
down when they see you doingeverything they wanted to do
perhaps.
But there's many differentreasons, right?
Sometimes somebody's life mightjust suck so bad that they just
want to take it out on you.
Usually that's the case and thenother people just downright
might be envious.
I mean, this world is driven byenvy, according to Charlie
Munger.
Charlie Munger is the one whosaid it and I thought it was
really genius.

(09:15):
Charlie Munger said I've madeall of this money.
I've seen people who have allthe money in the world and they
have no reason to be unhappy, but they're still unhappy and
they're still chasing all ofthis extra wealth.
Why Envy?
They want more.
Everybody always wants more.
So there's always somebodyjealous of you.
There's always somebody that'sgoing to try to hate on you.

(09:36):
The way you should respond withhate is to think about what they
said and ask yourself is ittrue?
And if it is true, then youshould address it and be like,
yeah and yeah, you told thetruth about me, and.
And that'll throw them offtheir guard.
Or the other way you can handlehaters is by simply just
winning Be successful, focus,ignore it.
Or the other way you can handlehaters is by simply just
winning be successful, focus, ignore it, ignore the hate and

(09:57):
stay in your own lane, becausethe haters are going to stay
behind you.
Those people don't evolve.
So, ladies and gentlemen, that's how you get past the
haters.
Stay prudent, stay powerful, stay wealthy you.
