(00:05):
Hello everyone, welcome back to the Bryan Christiana Podcast.
Here it is May 20th, 2025. We're just knocking episodes out
left and right here. Today we recorded with both
guilders Bill and Mike, and thennow we are here with Angel
Alonzo, who was on the show earlier when the Pope was
inaugurated. Well, I mean congratulations to
(00:25):
the Pope, but Angel, how you doing my friend?
I. Am amazing.
Here we go round two and Angel is we are literally watching the
hall and he's like, yo, do you want to do a podcast again?
And I was like, yeah, let's do it.
He said, what do you want to talk about?
He's like, so Angel has come up with some ideas here that we're
going to. Talk about All right, go ahead,
(00:45):
we are going to talk about some of the deep things in life.
Deep things in life. OK, All right, let's hear.
It let's do the first one here. I have a question and work.
It's it, you know, some questions might be deep, some
questions you know, might be hard to come up with an answer.
But the first one is if you could relive 1 moment in your
life, would you? And why that?
(01:08):
10 My goodness. Relive.
If I could relive a moment, at least in mine, it would be
college graduation because mine was dirt.
Well, I wish it wasn't the pandemic.
Yeah, because it mine was at home.
Like it was on YouTube. All they did was they had a like
a slideshow presentation of a picture of everybody.
(01:29):
And if it was in person, that would probably be it because I
mean, I just remember my party at home.
Then so so you didn't even have to get to walk you, you had it
all online. It was, I was at home.
I was at party. We just had a graduation party
and we just watched the commencement ceremony.
And I wanna know I won an award at that.
(01:49):
I want like this, the student Leadership Award.
Yeah. And I didn't even get to like.
I know just to this day even throw your hat or anything.
No, I didn't even get to do that.
How about you? If I could relive a moment, man,
See, that's that's so tough because I feel like the older
you get, the more moments you have.
Especially as a father. Yeah, I would say, well, one of
(02:10):
the best moments for me. I will do it easy.
We'll do an easy one because because I can go into some
really deep one, but I'll I'll say this, There are there was so
when I was getting married, right there was one.
See a lot of people when you have a wedding day, you think,
oh, it's going to go by and it'sgoing to be the best day and
(02:32):
it's going to be this. And we had a great day.
It was awesome. But it goes by in a blank.
And because it goes by so fast, you don't think about, like,
actually just sitting and enjoying the day.
Yeah, you know, 'cause you're always going from one step to
the other. Like, now I look back and I can
tell certain husbands that, likepeople who are grooms that are
going to be husbands. I go take this moment.
(02:53):
And so one of those moments are when she walked down the aisle.
I told him I was like, I was talking to my friend Eugene.
He just got married to my friendGabby.
I said make sure you remember that moment because you only get
one. Yeah, You know.
And I said, and when she's walking down, just take it in,
you know, and it's true because she looks at you, you look at
(03:16):
her and you're thinking like, man, like this is.
And it's a, it's an unforgettable moment, you know
that. And of course, when my kids were
born, but that's. I was, I was honestly going to
say it. Was it when your kids were being
born? Yeah.
Oh man, that's yeah. Those are what's that feeling
like? When kids are born.
Yeah, what is that honestly like?
Scary as hell. Ohh.
No way. We could say hell on this
(03:36):
podcast, I don't care, OK? I'll put that E button on.
I mean, hey, yes. Damn.
There we go. Now we're good.
Yeah. It's Oh my gosh, man.
Well, because you know, especially with me and I was
telling you last time, but Lily has a heart condition and
everything. So like, you know, women have a
tendency to say things during certain circumstances.
(03:57):
And you're like, what are you saying right now?
No, you know, like, like, so youknow, Christina was there, you
know, and so she's trying to give birth and or she's trying
to do it naturally, you know, and so she's on a medicine ball,
she's in the bathroom, she's on the bed, you know, the nurses
coming in and out. And I'm thinking, you know, I'm
(04:17):
there. And so one of the things is I
started dancing with her becauseshe wanted to dance.
And so she's dancing back and forth just a little bit, like
kind of like a little 2 step. And she started to sing this
song. So you know me and my awesome
brain. And I was like, well, I'm gonna
sing the song. You know, I didn't even get 2
seconds into that song. She put her hand up.
She was like, no, no, stop, stop, sorry.
She's like don't say, don't say.And there was a lady with us.
(04:40):
She was like, Angel, don't tell me to it.
And so Long story short, man, this, so to make a funny moment,
not so funny, you know, they gave her the epidural, which is
like a needle in the spine. Oh, and what that does is it
numbs up everything, you know, and it makes it super less
painful. And she said it went from like
(05:00):
night and day where she was likeso much in pain to not in pain.
Wow. And she was able to lay down and
relax a little bit. And so I went out to talk to a
friend and then I got a text message from Maribel, who was,
she was with Christina and I, she's like Angie, you got to
come back in right now. And so I rushed back in bloody
mess. Wow.
And I'm thinking, Oh my goodness, he's like, what's
(05:23):
going on? And so she comes in, a bunch of
nurses start coming in. They're looking at the the O2
levels, which is the the numbers, the block, the blood
oxygen levels. They're looking over at the
heart rate and the heart rate starting to drop, you know, with
the baby, which isn't good, right?
And so they go, okay, we're going to prep the OR, we've got
to get her into surgery. We're going to do a C-section
(05:44):
and all that stuff. And they, they're getting her
ready. They throw me clothes and they
go. You need to put this on.
I love your impressions of people, they are phenomenal.
And so I was like, I was like, Isaid, OK, you know, And so I'm
trying to put them on. And as I'm getting ready to put
them on, they're starting to roll out Christina.
And Christina looks over at me. She goes, I love you.
I love you. And I was like, why would you
(06:06):
say that? You're not going to dies.
I'm freaking out. I put it on.
She goes out. I look over at Maribel.
I start balling, right? I'm crying.
And then she gives me a hug. She's like, you know, pat me on
the butt. And she's like, go out there and
be a man. Good game.
Yeah, game. Me and my scrubs.
And then I found out that when Ileft, she called her husband.
(06:28):
And then she started bawling on the phone.
Oh, my gosh, it's crazy. And so, you know, we're in the
OR, you know, I see her there and she's shaking.
Like some of the medicines they give you, like, if you're
nauseous, they have a medicine for that.
If you're feeling something likethey've got a medicine for
everything and so they cut her and when you hear the sound.
(06:49):
Yeah. Of that baby for the first time.
It's just a little. It's just a little sound.
Sometimes it's loud. Like a loud cry.
Yeah, Lily wasn't like that. And Lucille wasn't like that.
It was just like, like a that just that noise.
I was like, oh, it actually happened.
We looked at each other and I saw Lily for the first time.
She, the doctor came to the sideof us and she put her up like
(07:11):
that. And I saw her, and I was like,
Oh my goodness, you know, that'shalf of me.
That was a magical moment. Oh, I'm sure it was.
Yeah. So wow, I can't wait one.
I prom one day it will happen. I, I that's like my only like
really personal goal left is I want to be a dad.
Oh yeah. Professional, that's on a whole
different side, but personal. I want to be a dad, so I can't
(07:33):
wait for that day. What do you think are some
things because I feel like as I get older at the, you know, the
wiser you get with certain things.
But, you know, I it's hard to what what what do you think is a
good time to have a kid because you can be married and not be
prepared? Yeah.
I mean like, do I feel like 27 like I am prepared right now?
(07:53):
No, no. I.
Mean I got married at 27. Did you really Did you feel
like? No, I wasn't.
Ready. Were you ready?
Were you ready to be married? Do you feel at that .0?
Yeah, OK, alright. I mean I.
I met my wife when I was 21, at 10, yeah, I was 20 turning 21,
and I met her and, you know, so.Yeah, it all just fell into
place. You know, seven years later, we.
(08:14):
Everyone heard the story already.
You know how it went, your friend, your friend and all that
was camp. I mean, it's, I would say at
least for a kid, I did a good time.
And it's tough because men and women are different.
They're so. Different.
I don't want to. I don't want to.
I would say for a man I think a good age would be the 2090 like
3334. Yeah, that's a good age. 29 like
(08:37):
that, I feel like that could be a good sweet spot, yeah.
That's a good age. I mean, women have more of that.
There's more of a clock to them.I mean, so I don't know on the
women's side, but I would say men, I feel like they're more
mature, more developed, more. I think mature is the big word
there. Yeah.
Because I think looking at it now and I'm not trying to come
(08:58):
off negative or anything, but there's some people that are
dads in this world who. Haven't grown up?
Yet they yeah, they definitely were not ready.
They were not ready to be a dad.And it's just yeah, I, I think,
I think I would say the 29 to 34area is a good time.
That's at least that's my opinion.
I don't know but what? About you, I think so.
I think that's a good age, you know, I think, you know, and the
(09:21):
reason why, because a lot of people who aren't dads, they'll
say, oh, you need to have a job that's really good, like you're,
you know, making 100K or something like that.
That's. Not how it works.
You know you have to do this. And I always say if you look at
most of the people around here in Shamokin who are in worse
situations than you and have kids, they're making it.
Work. That's just.
They're making it work. Yeah, and you know, you know, my
(09:43):
wife and I, I think, you know, we're blessed and our situation,
we're not rich, but we're blessed, you know, and I feel
like God has truly, you know, been with us throughout the
whole, throughout the, you know, our whole marriage.
And I will say, you know, financially, you know, of course
Donald Trump's going to look at us and be like, what are you
doing? You know, but if I look at my
(10:06):
girls and I just see how healthyand like seeing them place.
And happy and. I'm like, man, you know, as long
as even if you're making 20,000 a year, it's like if you're
being, if you're putting food onthe table and you have a roof
over your kids heads and you know, keeping them clean and you
have their clothes and you know, even if life is a struggle, but
your kids are seeing you as a good example in there and they
(10:30):
know they feel loved and you're doing everything right.
And then nothing that could. Be that's incredible and that,
wow, that is awesome, man. That was deep.
And that's supposed to be one ofthe lighter questions, yeah.
Yeah, man. So what else?
Have you come up with? All right, next question.
OK, Oh, here's one. What makes someone feel like
(10:50):
home to you? What does someone do to make you
feel like home? For me this is an easy.
One go ahead I mean, let's go toyou first.
I'm. For me, for me, it's culture.
Yeah. Yeah, for me and and OK, so let
me change that up a little bit. It's culture and a, you know,
people who grew up like, so for example, I can't laugh with
(11:11):
certain people around here because I didn't grow up around
here. Yeah.
I mean, I have great relationships here.
In the building, yeah. Yeah, you know, and all in in
Shamokin, like I have great relationships, but I have
certain relationships with people that where I grew up from
that like I will cry laughing with them.
Yeah. And I will just like, you know,
I'll have super deep conversations with them.
(11:32):
I can, I can talk about anythingwith them, you know, and I don't
even curse like that, but I can curse with them.
Yeah. I mean, it's, you know, I'm just
being real. Yeah.
And like with them, they like, that's just a special thing.
And I feel like because I grew up with that, you know, like we
can talk about like you don't realize how many like with like
certain music that you listen to, you make certain you say
(11:53):
certain things that connects with certain songs from your.
Oh yeah, that makes sense. You know, and so like, for
example, I might I say somethinglike, I remember I was there was
this older guy, he was probably in his 80s that he would hang
hung out with us on the 4th of July and he heard a firecracker
go off and he goes snap, crack, old pop, there you go.
You know, and I was like, yeah, my, my generation wouldn't say
(12:17):
that. But on none, all of the older
guys that were near him just like felt the vibe.
I would say like the big one forI would say for my generation at
least, would be ye, yeah. I mean, I'm in my I'm in the
later part of my 20s and I wouldsay that that's a big one.
Or who? What are some other?
I don't know. I had man, I'm drawing a blank
(12:38):
as like being put on the spot like that.
But I agree with you, definitelylike the culture thing interest,
like having common interests would probably be the closest
thing to home for me. I mean, like I can, I feel like
I can have a conversation with someone about anything, but it's
not going to I'm you're not going to get my full like full
(12:58):
thing there. So like you when we were walking
up the hallway, go dungeons and Dragons.
Do I mean, I remember there was a commercial like that.
Oh no, that was World of Warcraft with Mr. T Dungeons and
Dragons. I'm they play they play it on
and stranger things, yes, that'sall I know.
I mean, yeah, but if it's something I'm familiar with,
(13:19):
that would probably be the closest thing to home for me.
Just a combo about something I can keep the conversation.
Going, Oh yeah, you know. If that makes sense.
Yeah, no, I think that's a good answer.
You know, for me it's whatever can connect you to where you
where you're from. And you know, I'm Puerto Rican,
but there's a lot of things thatdon't connect me to Puerto Rico,
you know, like I have a lot of family down there, but people
(13:39):
and it's fine because I didn't grow up in Puerto Rico.
I grew up here, you know, but I've been to Puerto Rico a bunch
of times and unfortunately I most of my family doesn't live
there anymore. They all moved out, you know,
and so and it's it really is because of all of the terrible
things that are that have happened, like hurt the
Hurricanes and with the government and all that things
(14:00):
that have been going on. But I'm always connected with
people from Easton. Nice.
And so whenever I talk with people from Easton, you know, I
mean, Billy Joel has a song called Allentown.
We're going down to Allentown. Yeah.
I mean, for me, I, every time I hear Allentown or the East
Coast, like, you know, people will be like, oh, have you, you
(14:20):
know, do you still walk by the canals, You know, Oh, what about
the Delaware River, the free bridge, the Crayola factory?
It's like, you know, like for me, I envisioned it.
I, I have the whole map in my head because I've seen it so
many times. Yeah.
And you know, when, so when I can connect with anyone.
And. And it happened, I went to the
ice rink over in Sunbury. Oh, yeah.
And there was one of my wife's friends was there and her
(14:43):
husband was sitting there. And I forget how it was, but I
said hi to her and I said hi to him and, and I don't know.
She was like, oh, well, where are you from?
I was like, oh, I'm Puerto Rican, I'm from Easton.
And he was like, I'm from Easton, get out of you from
Easton. We started talking and he's
like, what about the canals? How about this?
Wow, Forks and Palmer? And I was like, what?
(15:05):
Dude, that's exactly what that'swhat you want.
Yeah, that's awesome. That's really cool from Sunbury
to talk about Easton. Did you ever go to?
Were you a Dorney guy? Oh yeah, I've been to Dorney
bunch of time. Yeah, Dorney is cool.
It's I like Kenobos better. Really.
Oh yeah. Wow.
Kenobos feels way more family friendly, yeah, you know, and
(15:26):
Cano. And when you go to Dorney, it
feels like you're going to an establishment, I guess, like
this corporate. Yeah, yeah, I see what you're
saying. Kenobos, it feels like, like, I
don't even know Dick Kenobel, but I was like, I feel like, oh,
that's just like the one grandfather that everyone kind
of has and we're just kind of gohang out at his spot.
Yeah. That's cool.
Yeah. I, I, I I'm not gonna lie to
you. My favorite roller coaster is
(15:47):
that Dorney. It's a new one.
It's like coal mining themed I think.
But it's really cool. It's really cool.
Just me or iron? Is that iron themed?
I don't know. I don't know.
But it's really cool. And I think that when we went
there last June, we ended up going on like 2-3 times.
Just saying. The two rides that were big at
the time when I was young with Steel Force, Yep.
(16:08):
And the Dominator, the one that goes up and.
I think I went on that. I think, yeah.
I like them both. Steel force is good.
Yeah, Steel Force is good. I feel like even Canopus
actually, like they've got pretty good roller coasters.
And you get to see it every day.I do.
Yeah, you do. Yo, I got a deep question for
you. Okay, I'm going to switch things
(16:30):
up a little bit. Do you believe people have a
purpose in life or do we create?A man so this is does God create
or do we create a type of type of thing?
I would honestly say I think Goddoes.
I think God does like I really do believe like Jesus is like
Jesus was brought on this earth to help create his church and
(16:52):
help create, spread his word andbe the son of God.
I feel like at least mine personally is, I don't want to
say to entertain people, but I mean like I feel that's what I'm
best at. You put this, put this in front
of me. I feel like that's what I'm the
best at. Put this micro, put a microphone
in front of me and that's why I actually had a reflection about
(17:13):
that the other day and it was tough because it really it kind
of upset me. But like I feel like without
this, without a microphone, whatreally am I?
What am I really good at? And I know, Mike, relatively new
to the teaching game. And, like, I feel like my
purpose at this point is for a mic is a microphone and to
(17:33):
entertain to, I mean, have people listening whether it's on
a podcast or doing a game and all that.
But I would say, I would say Godput me on this earth for
entertainment purposes. Yeah.
And I mean, like, I think I get a lot of it from my dad.
I mean, I wish I was gifted withthe voice of his like, singing
wise and musically. I mean, you and my dad both have
(17:56):
great voices and I wish, I wish I had a music voice.
But. Amazing dude.
His voice is crazy and it's phenomenal, but I think
broadcasting and all that is whyI was brought here to this
Earth. Yeah, that's that's what I would
say. I agree.
In fact, I would go even more tosay I know that God is the
(18:17):
reason like that. He gives purpose.
Yeah. And for me, it's, it's simple,
You know, if you look at Peter in the body, if you look at
these fishermen. Uh oh.
Why is it always when? We're here.
It gets every time. Do you want to come back and
join the show? I mean, hey, there is a man
here, but I mean, I, I agree with you.
I, I, I use the word thing. You use the word.
(18:38):
No, it definitely, it definitelyGod has a reason for us to be on
the a reason for us to be on this earth.
Yeah, man, I agree. What?
We are joined with Mr. Rubindahlin the area.
Mr. Rubindahl, would you like tojoin us here?
That sounds like a yes. Come on over.
Sit down in the chair. All right, well, we tried
(18:58):
getting the Doug Rubindahl here on the.
Show, we'll get him one, we'll get him one.
We'll get him one for deep conversations with Angel and
Brian. But yes, God definitely has us
here on the earth. And I'll just say this real
quick. You know Peter in the Bible he
was a fisherman right and he denied Christ three times.
You know his his whole life had nothing to do with teaching.
(19:22):
You know Paul, who was song his whole life was killing
Christian. And then he.
You know, and it's like he had to go blind so that he could
see. Wow.
You know, when you look at, you know, Moses, his whole
upbringing was rich in in, in Egyptian lifestyle, right?
And then he had to leave becausehe was scared because he killed
(19:45):
that and he and then he fled from the earth and fear that he
was going to get killed. And then when, you know, God
came to him in a burning Bush. But, and I always tell people
the beauty in that wasn't that God showed up to him.
The beauty in it was that the Bush never burned.
You know, deep, you know, So what God was foreshadowing to
(20:08):
him was, yeah, I'm going to sendyou into a fire.
But you're not going to get buried, right?
I have a purpose for you that isgoing to be difficult.
It's going to be hard. You know, I, I just spoke with
Lexi, 5th grade teacher here, right?
She's trying to get her certification in fifth, you
know, but her cert is within preschool and 4th grade.
Yeah, but she teaches 5th grade and so the college was like, oh,
(20:31):
but you have to teach preschool to 4th grade in order for us to
really observe you. So you'd have to leave your job.
And I told her I was like, no, no, no.
I was like, talk with these people that helped me out in my
situation. And so, you know, I'm gonna
continue praying for her. But I said if God has called you
to be a teacher, he's gonna openthose doors.
It doesn't mean that that walk is gonna be easy.
You know, it's going to be difficult.
(20:52):
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego right before they got sent into
the flame. You know I don't.
Do you know the story of? Shadrach, no, I don't.
Big statue, this king, right? They tell him, oh, you should be
the one that people worship, right?
This new book of Daniel. And he goes, all right, build
the statue, big statue, and everyone comes out.
(21:12):
He's the king, right? Everyone comes down and
everyone's bowing down to the statue, right, Except for Shadow
of Meshach and Abednego, becauseeveryone knew all they're
Christians, right? They're not, they're not going
to bow down. And so they don't bow down and
they go to the king. Hey, you know Shadrack Beach,
Jack and Abednego, they didn't they didn't bow down.
He's like, what you mean they didn't bow down?
(21:34):
Bring them to me, Right. And so they come up to him.
He goes, he goes, tell me, did you bow?
Did you not bow down? And they're like, no, they
didn't bow down because you knowhow a true God, they don't see
you. I don't know why they're
British, but they said, yeah, our true God is the only right
We don't we they only got me. Bow downtown.
Bow down to you, right? And so he said, I want you to.
(21:56):
The king said, all right, well, in that case, he turned over to
his guards, heat up the furnace. And the furnace was big and it
was so hot that the guards that opened the door to the furnace
died. And so he said, you're going to
be sent into that. All you got to do is buy them.
They replied to him, this is Chapter 3.
They replied to him. They said not only are we
(22:17):
knocking to bow down, they said, but if he doesn't save us from
this flame, we still choose. Amen.
And they went in the flame and the king is there and he's
laughing. Yeah, well, he's not laughing,
but he's there and he looks inside and he says, how many
people he looks at his guy? How how many people do we send
in the flame? He was 3 Shadrach Meshach and a
(22:37):
medical. He was like, why is there a
fourth one? Wow.
And he says, And why does he look like the Son of God?
Because it was. And then he said, Shadrach,
Meshach and Abednego, if you hear my voice, come out, come
out of that flank. They came out.
They didn't even smell like smoke.
And so I'm here to tell you, wow, you are in the flame of
(22:58):
life while you are in the struggle, right?
This is where a lot of people mess up.
They think when you come to whenyou come to God, everything is
ice cream and daisies, right? Yeah, it's not like that.
You know, you're going to have times when you're tested.
God is going to be with you in that flame.
He's going to be with you in thestruggle.
(23:20):
The difference is, do you still choose him when things go bad or
and do you choose him when things are good?
You know, I choose. As for me and my family, we
choose. Amen.
That was Dave and I love it. No, I was really good.
So I know, wow, he gives us the.Purpose.
Let me ask you this. Have you ever considered, you
know, being a pastor there of some sort?
(23:42):
I mean, because that was awesome.
Oh man, I've been asked that question a few times.
I feel called to teach. You know, I think you are in the
right ball yet. Yeah, I feel called to teach.
If that's something that God puts me in the future to, you
know, become a pastor, then hey, that'll be cool.
But right now I feel. Lords Regional is your calling,
(24:03):
yeah. You know, I love teaching
Spanish and I love teaching people about God and then giving
them the ability to tell their testimony in 2 languages.
You know, like Brian, dude, you,you know, I know this isn't this
podcast isn't just about you, but dude, you, you're an amazing
person. And I know that like when I like
(24:24):
you go to so many places, you reach so many people, you reach
people on your Facebook, you read people with your podcast,
you reach these students. You you're going to have
students that going to come backand they're going to be like,
Mr. Christian, thank you so muchfor helping me out.
You really pushed me in the right direction.
You're going to have. I need that I I genuinely do
need that because I needed that because this has honestly been
(24:47):
the toughest and what we have another one coming in.
Wow. Look, this is the popular place
to be and he is going to be a guest on this eventually.
Oh yeah. I I really like this is the
first job I ever felt like I'm not Like I'm shortchanging like
I am not. I don't want to say like I'm not
doing what the school means or once, but I feel like there's
(25:09):
days I go home and I'm like, am I, am I really doing?
What am I really doing the kids right by this?
Am I am I letting them down per SE?
And because I mean, I went so I like, I feel like I owe this
place the whole world. And I struggle with that.
Some days I feel like when I hear of a kid be like, hey, I'm
(25:29):
going somewhere else or I'm transferring.
Is it because of me? That's the first thing that
comes to my mind. Is it because of me?
At the end of the year, we always hear about kids, kids
leaving. And there's one or two there's
there's there's one that really hit me in a sensitive spot
because I had this kid last yearand I had them this year.
I felt like it was a good relationship there.
You know, he got along very well.
(25:50):
And I heard that they're leavingand it really upset me.
And right away I'm thinking it'sme, that they're it's the reason
when in all reality they told meit wasn't.
And I mean, it's just sad that. So, yeah, thank you.
And and I'll just to kind of like add to that, yeah.
You know, you one of the things in the I just, I know they're
(26:10):
very connected, right? We've been talking about the
Bible. So now I got a lot of scripture
coming to my mind, you know, do you know the have you ever heard
of the mustard scene, The story?Yes, yes.
You know, that's, that's what you do every single day you're
in here. You're not always going to talk
about God. You know, sometimes it's work.
You know, I look, I teach Spanish.
(26:31):
People think, oh, you must have a lot of opportunities.
I'm just like, dude, I'm over here trying to get them to say
yo through LA, you know, like regular things.
We met Yamo instead of Melamo, right?
And, you know, but by our personalities, by our culture,
by who we are, right, we're justcalled to be examples.
(26:52):
You know, when people look at us, we're not, they're, they're
not supposed to just see us. They're supposed to see who
you're looking to. So you're just throwing seeds
out. And it's not your job to water
them. It's not your job to make sure
that in the future life is great.
That's God's job, right? You're doing your job.
So even when they leave here, they, they, you, you put
(27:14):
something in, you know, we'll continue to pray for them.
We'll continue to be with them, you know, But you know, you're
doing, you're doing a fantastic job, man.
This year I feel we've been super blessed with great
teachers, you know, and I've said that to Matt.
I've said that to a few of the teachers.
I go, man, I feel like this yearour high school teachers were on
it, you know? I really do, yeah.
(27:34):
I think that I, I know one of the things that you heard from
outsiders and like, it was like,oh, Lords, teachers, you know,
yadda, yadda. But I feel like this year we
really had it in order. Like there was something really
good about this year. Yeah.
I felt like we were strong. We were united.
Yeah, that was a great word. That was we, we were a team and
(27:56):
I mean, we still are. And I I really want to give a
big shout out to with that doctor fence.
Yeah. Doctor Fesniak is one of the
brightest individuals I've ever met in my Yeah, he he pushed me.
I felt like there was times where I I would leave a meeting
I'd. Be like man.
You know what this guy, and again, pardon the language, I'd
(28:16):
be like, this guy's a Dick. But do you know what though?
Like, he pushed me to be much better at my job.
And I can honestly look back nowand thank him for that because
you know what? He he made me think of things
that I never thought of with him.
Yeah. And so honestly, Doctor Fesniak,
thank you. Yeah.
Thank you. Because you really brought, I
think you brought the best out of me some days and you really,
(28:39):
I feel, helped bring something out of others as well.
So let's put it this way real quick.
You know, I don't, I don't, I don't know if we're on the time
crunch because you got a meetingto get.
Some I know about that. Let's put it this way.
He got hired the same year. Teacher had a heart attack.
Yeah, how about that? He got hired that same year, why
not that same year? The following year my daughter
(29:00):
coded and he took me to Philly right that same year.
He helps. That was the year that things
happened and he just so happened.
How about that? Yep, TomTom having a heart
attack and then your daughter having her problems.
I mean, it's, it's crazy. So let me ask you purpose God.
(29:22):
God or us? It's God.
God knows what he's doing. Absolutely.
God definitely 100%. I think we got one more.
You want one more? Question one more.
And I mean, it could even be a curveball.
It could be whatever you want. All right, then we'll be unless
I got you. Let's do it this or any any
question, whatever you want shoot.
Do you play video games at all? Well, you're into you play
(29:44):
sports. Yeah, yeah, I'm bored.
I'm. Bored.
You're into sports? All right, here's this.
OK, what's your favorite sport? Oh, I would honestly say
baseball. Yeah, I would say baseball.
What? What is it about baseball
nowadays that's so disappointingcompared to baseball 10 years
ago? And if it's not, what makes it
(30:05):
the same or better? I think performance wise by the
professional athletes, I also want to say that I think
gambling has run baseball and all sports a little bit because
I just feel like there's so likethere's such an emphasis on it.
I would say that. But my big thing about baseball
is the culture. Yeah.
I mean, working in it, I get to see it every day.
(30:26):
You see people eating peanuts, popcorn.
I look at the grass when I'm on the field or when I'm on the
dugout and it's like on the church.
It's like, honestly, you're worshipping.
At the field. Like it, honestly, I feel like
it's so relaxing, it's so beautiful.
Just everything about it. I mean the entertainment part
(30:48):
that I get to do. You see someone in a costume in
a mascot. Costume.
Yeah, Who's going all out, by the way?
Yeah, I mean, seeing, seeing. And I love the fact that the
people that play the mascot for me just do so well.
They're so engaging. But I think honestly also the
other thing is the kids. You get to see kids have a good
(31:09):
time, families get to go out. Families get to go.
It's it's like all new at Knoebels.
That's their way of just spending the night.
It's minor League Baseball still, still affordable.
It can be a little pricey, but Imean, you get to go out and go
have dinner. You can go do whatever and it's
just nice. That's what I like about
baseball. And I mean, yeah, I would say
(31:29):
baseball for sure. What about you?
Do you have any? I'm going to throw you the
biggest curveball. In football?
No, not American football. Oh, soccer.
Yeah, soccer in football. See.
Yeah, I let No, I'm gonna throw you.
You. You're never gonna guess.
You're never gonna. Guess, tell her.
Break this. Nice.
I would and I would have never thought.
See, when I was in high school, I break, I break danced.
(31:51):
That was that's what I was. And I still look at teams go
one-on-one with each other. Really.
So a lot of people don't know and break dancing or B boring as
we call it, right. They have they have certain
events. And in those events you have one
team versus another team. You have one on ones you have.
I mean, I'm not talking about Australia.
Yeah, with this lady. Yeah.
(32:13):
But I'm saying like real dancersand what's, what's what the
tricky part about having to be AB boy or AB girl is you're
dancing, you have your routines that you make, but a lot of it
is creative right on the spot. You have to do it on the spot.
So and it's kind of like beauty in that way where it's like, for
example, I can relate it to basketball, you know, because in
(32:35):
basketball, like I heard, I think it was Michael Jordan or
somebody say this one time, theysaid when you're playing in the
regular season, you know, you'redo your regular things.
But when you're in the finals, he goes, not only do you have to
do that, but you have to step upyour creativity.
You have to step up. You're like, OK, like, you know,
you see him, you know, goes for a layup, brings it back down,
(32:58):
goes under the guy's arm, shootsit, hits it.
And, you know, I mean. And for me, that's what break
dancing is. When you get to, you have all
your routine set. Yeah.
And then when you've done all those routines and you still got
three more rounds, now it's OK. Now it's you.
You have to show us who. Look who's that artist behind
the mask we're seeing. I think it's incredible, like
besides the main like the when the four sports America we all
(33:19):
know, but like seeing like you just a break dancing, swimming.
Yeah. Swimming, actually, during the
Olympics, it's. Awesome.
Oh yeah. What are some other I I love the
one in the Winter Olympics, the one that curling.
Oh, do you like curling? Yeah, like those type of sports
that don't get the mainstream media attention, like those are
(33:40):
soap fencing. Fencing is awesome.
Like this show. The Olympics, that was that was
crazy. They are.
So talented and they just, I mean, they just don't get the
media coverage, but I mean, people don't realize how
talented these individuals are. And I mean hey, and the time
they put in. That's their purpose for God.
When no one else is looking, he's looking.
Amen. Yo man.
(34:02):
That was a good one. I mean, we're going to do this
more often. I like this.
What do we call him off the cuff?
Off the cuff, I'd like it my man.
Thank you to him for doing this. This was all your idea.
Oh man, I appreciate it. I just love talking with you
man. It's good dude.
