Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, everybody, welcome to the Buddhisteta Podcast. I am your host.
No a chance of visik, and I am doing a
lot better this week than I was last week. If
you listen last week to my little mental breakdown, I
apologize if that triggered anybody, But again I am all good.
No needs to worry. I do have a cold because

(00:23):
Alex is back in school. So yes, I wow, it
hasn't even been that long and all of a sudden
a cold has spread through the house. And yeah, but
let's get on with the show as usual. I appreciate
you guys listening. And so I was coming out of

(00:46):
Walmart today. Yes, I do shop at Walmart Delicious chicken
sandwiches there by the way, I don't don't knock, do
not knock Walmart Chicken sandwiches. I'm just saying you can
just hang up right now, turn this radio station off
if you do not like walmarticular haandwiches. Anyway, So I'm
at the red light and there's a panhandler there and

(01:07):
it's New Hampshire, it's dairy, so there's panhandlers at every corner.
They're the new hookers. And so there was a guy
he was holding a sign, you know, we'll work for food, god, bless,
what have you. And he had a gentleman sitting behind him,
just sitting there on a cooler. And the second guy

(01:31):
didn't move, He just looked straight ahead. He was wearing sunglasses,
while the guy standing was doing all the work, you know,
chatting people up at the light and just just generally
just being there. And I'm sitting at the light. I'm
not even looking at the guy holding the sign. I'm
looking at the guy sitting on the cooler, and I'm

(01:51):
thinking to myself, is he an intern? Like is he
learning from this this gentleman? And I just thought that
was a funny thing that, you know, panhandlers at interns
always two there are. But I mean, let's be honest,
panhandlers aren't homeless people anymore. I mean, I'm sure there

(02:13):
are people who are homeless and they are, you know,
asking for money, for help and what have you. I've
seen these two particular individuals. They have a silver Toyota
pickup truck. They also have cell phones, and so I
think I think the panhandlers the drug addicts. I mean

(02:35):
they have cell phones, they have government phones. I've seen
them at several metro by T mobile stores. I think
it's time to upgrade. And you know, the whole will
work for food thing is is it's a lie. No
one believes it. All right, let's be honest here. I

(02:55):
would rather have you be completely honest with me and say, hey,
I need this money for drugs for alcohol. I'd be
cool with that. I mean, I still won't give you money,
but I mean at least i'd have a conversation with you.
I'm like, all right, this guy's lying. I'm not even
bothered talking to him. Like they got to get rid
of that tired We'll work for food sign and just

(03:19):
have a sign, just have a basic sign. This is, hey,
don't have cash, Here's my Venmo QR code, you know,
like just put a QR code there on your little
cardboard and I would bet more people are willing to
scan that QR code and maybe throw you a couple

(03:44):
bucks here and there because they don't have to open
their window, they don't have to talk to you. They
just need to point their phones scan that QR code
and upcomes your Venmo account. And why not why not
you know, chuck a dollar here and there or whatever.
You it's whatever. I have, Like I have like three
dollars in my Venmo account right now. I don't even
use that. I don't even know where it came from,

(04:04):
to be honest with you, it's just been there. Yeah,
it's just let's upgrade that. Also. Also, get rid of
the whole God bless sign. I mean, I listen, I
know this is the Buddhist af podcast, but I believe

(04:25):
there is a higher power. I'm agnostic by the way.
I believe there is something out there. I just can't agree.
It's one thing. Get rid of the God bless sign
because it's you're alienating other religions, religions that might give more.
You know, you need to diversify your religions and you

(04:48):
need to optimize your panhandling opportunities. That's all I'm saying. Like,
if you're asking for money, don't just ask it for
people believe in God, ask for for Buddhis, for Muslims.
Harry Christnas. I don't know, is that even Buddhis. I
don't even know good chanting though. Yeah, that's just my

(05:09):
rant on panhandling. I remember, I think I said it
one time and in one of the podcasts, but one
of the panhanders like Jesus died for your sins, and
I was, like, Jesus died on a Friday, and he
was back on a Sunday. You know, he kind of
just had a really bad weekend essentially, So he had

(05:33):
a bad weekend for my sins, I guess. But moving on,
I sniffling. Sorry. I rebuilt my gaming PC I I
was playing. I was playing Cyberpunk. Actually just got back
into it. I haven't really gotten too much into the

(05:54):
story yet, but I plan on doing a series on
Cyberpunk about how everybody thinks it's this great utopia what
have you? And in my honest opinion, and I think
in a lot of people's opinions, uh, Cyberpunk is more
of a warning than it is, like this great thing
that everybody assumes is, you know, coming, and it kind

(06:15):
of sounds like it is coming. And people have prosthetics
that move with you know, your brain signals things like that,
so look out for that. But I was playing Cyberpunk
and I noticed my GPU getting a lot hotter than
it used to, basically because en Video is kind of
making my GPU, which is a thirty eighty by the way,

(06:38):
a thirty eighty TI and it's slung my GPU down.
But I've noticed it's it was getting hotter, and so
I decided to rebuild my entire gaming PC. And so
I now have two three, four, five six. I have
eight fans in my PC case. I have three in

(07:02):
the front, two down below that are actually blowing in
blowing on the GPU, which is actually running at about
I'm looking at it right now, running at about one
oh five fair height, so not bad at all, nice
and cool. Fans aren't even turning. I got one exhausting
out the back, and I got two exhausting out the top,

(07:24):
which are also attached to an AIO which cools down
the CPU. So nice, nice and cool. I got an
NZXT high flow case, by the way, and it's looking
really good. It's looking really good. I like it the
despite having eight fans in there, it's actually pretty quiet.
So pretty happy with it. And eventually I'll get probably

(07:48):
I'm probably gonna get AMD GPU next next go round.
Been looking at a ninety sixty XT. They go for
around four hundred now, so that's not bad. Actually your
first sixteen gig, so that should last me. I mean
this thirty eighty T I will probably last me. About
four or five more years, maybe if I'm playing on

(08:09):
decent specs. So I used to be able to play
Tyrapunk on Ultra, and all of a sudden I can't
anymore strangely, So moving on to the main game I've
been playing, I have been playing a lot of Hogwarts
Legacy lately. I mean a lot of Hogwarts Legacy. I

(08:31):
was late to the game. I was. I wasn't really
into Harry Potter or the whole Wizarding World. I respect
it though, because it it's huge, it's a phenomenon. It's
what Universal Studios has, like a whole thing dedicated to it.
But I mean I respect it because say what you

(08:54):
want about say what you want or how you feel
about ajk Rowling, But she got an entire generation of
children to read, and you can't take that away from her.
It's like, say what you want about Lance Armstrong, but
his Live Strong program group, what have you did a

(09:17):
lot for cancer research? So yes, Lance Armstrong cheated and
what have you? He tarnished, you know, bike racing and
US bike racing, and he charnished his own reputation. But
Live Strong, the program, the the organization did an amazing

(09:38):
job for cancer research, and he was a part of that.
So say what you want about JK. Rowling. She got
a lot of kids to start reading. And it's not
like they were small kids books either. It's not like
something you can go to like the kids section of
Barnes and Noble, and it's like thirty pages at best,
with like lots and lots of pictures. It is a thick,

(10:02):
dictionary sized hardcover book. And props to her. Props to
her for that. You know, she's got money and she's
earned it. She's definitely earned it. So I started playing
Hogwarts Legacy because it was cheap. I have this thing
where my threshold is thirty bucks, so I won't buy

(10:23):
a game unless it's, you know, something that I really
really want, something I follow, like Mass Effect or Assassin's Creed.
I'll pay full, full dollars for that. But I was
interested in Hollwarts Legacy. I heard that you know, you
can you can choose a path, which I do like.
I do like the ability to go light and dark side,
I suppose. So it was fifteen bucks on the PS

(10:47):
five and so I picked it up. And every game,
every character I make, if it's a male character, I
usually model it after Alex, and so every character is
named Alex if it's a male. Actually, even if it's
a female, it's Alex whatever. But except for Cyberpunk, because

(11:07):
they're all named v But so I modeled it after Alex,
and I knew going into the game that you can
go down a dark path, and so I do what
I've always done, which I considered the and again Skywalker ending.
I will be the absolute night in Shining opera. I

(11:28):
would do everything absolutely good until I'm given the opportunity
to turn into a bad guy. And so this all
started in Fable. I was the grand Hero of Albion
I think is the name of the fictional kingdom. And yeah,
I was the hero of Albion. Everywhere I went people

(11:50):
were cheering. People were like, hey, the hero of Albion.
And I didn't kick a single chicken. And I got
all the way to the end. I was doing all
the good things, doing the right things, say your prayers,
eat your vitamin's brother. And so I got to the
end where I got the sword, and the I believe

(12:10):
it's the wizard said you know you can take this sword,
and oh I also found my sister who was blind
by the way she was blinded as a child, and
I found her. I found and rescued her, and so
we both found this sword, and the wizard goes, hey,
you can take this sword and you can row rule peacefully.

(12:30):
You rule all of Albion as the king and rule peacefully.
Or you can take this sword and you can rule
with an iron fist, and everyone will fear you, and
you will be a bad guy, but obviously you will
get your way. You will be the King of Albion.
And so I chose the dark side again. This is

(12:54):
the first time I ever was given this opportunity. So
I chose the dark side, and I took the sword,
and I stabbed my sister in the stomach, killing her essentially,
and then I became King of Albion. She later on
goes to live in Part two. I don't remember too
much Part two. I don't think I played Part two
too much. But three was a banger belly. And so

(13:16):
every game now that I've played, given the opportunity, I
will always be the boy Scout until I'm given the
opportunity to not be the boy Scout. And so I
am playing Hogwarts Legacy. I have gotten pretty far in it.
I think I'm very close to beating it. Actually, so

(13:36):
backtrack a little bit. Bought it for the PS five,
played about twenty hours of it, and I do side
quests and stuff like that, so I probably could beat
it a lot quicker. But I was doing some side quests,
and the PC version was also fifteen bucks, and I

(14:01):
like playing on the PC all right. There there are
some lines that people will draw the oh, I'm in
a PlayStation, I'm an XBOS guy. I am a PC
guy because you can get mods for it, not to cheat.
I don't you know. I don't use mods for cheating.
I use mods to prolong the game. There are some
mods that will actually make In fact, there are mods
for Hogwarts Legacy that you can actually make whole new

(14:24):
missions and new storylines, and there are people who have
done that. And so I got it for the PC,
and I, you know, started all over and because it's
on the PC, it looks a lot better. And so
I started once I got the broom, once I got
the brooms that I just flew everywhere. But I've actually

(14:45):
gotten to the point where I have a hippogriff is
I think what's called it's it's it's it's it's a
bird that you can fly on. Again, I'm not too
versed in Harry Potter verse Harry Potter versus Wizarding World.
I guess it's what they actually call it. But I've
actually gotten interested in the movies now because of the game.
It takes place one hundred years before Harry Potter, before

(15:07):
Baltimore and all that good stuff. But it's actually gotten
me interested in watching the movies. I believe I got
as far as Chamber of Secrets, the second movie where
they where they found out Baltimore was real. Name was
Tom Riddle. Yeah, I think that was it. I think
the fourth one was the only one I remember, Like

(15:32):
Goblet of Fire was the fourth one I remember seeing
a trailer for, but I didn't really get into it.
I hear it gets darker though, so probably gonna watch
that again. Get back into that anyways, going back into
hole words like see, so I am learning the Dark
Arts at this point. One of the students there Slytherin.

(15:54):
I'm also in Slytherin, and which is perfect. I didn't
even I didn't even try to go there. It just
the sorting hat actually put me in Slytherin. So I'm
learning from this guy who is learning dark arts, and
so I have mastered all of the dark arts that

(16:15):
are in the game except for the final one, which
is the Instant Kill. I don't know the name of it,
but everything is in Latin, so have a data, I
have a CAD data or something like that. It's not abracadabra.
But yeah, so that's the final one that I haven't
gotten yet. But I've mastered all the other dark arts.

(16:36):
I've mastered the other stuff too, like you know, invisibility
and what have you. But I have been using a
lot of fire, I've been using a lot of push
and pull and obviously the dark arts. So essentially Hallwart's
Legacy is a very very good Star Wars game. So
I mean it's it's almost the same. I'm wearing a cloak.

(16:56):
I'm constantly wearing a cloak. I'm constantly having the hood
over my head and getting into lots of battles in
which I'm using the force so force, push, force pull,
force lift, setting people on fire. I just don't have
the ability to use lightning, but I'm sure there's a
mod for that. And so, yeah, if you're into Star Wars,

(17:17):
if you're into like a Jedi Survivor or Fallen Order,
give Hogwarts Legacy a shot. It's a very good game.
And let me give you a pro tip right now,
write these down, guys. So if you have a switch to,
if you have a switch to, go look up your
local library and then look up Hogwarts Legacy for the

(17:40):
switch one. Okay, so you have a switch to, You're
going to your library. It has to be either a
library or you know what, you can get to use
one too, because you're going to return this. Go to
your library, get Hogwarts Legacy for the Switch one and
rent that. Obviously, put it in your swing to play
it for a little bit. And then at some point

(18:03):
it's going to ask if you would like to update
the switch one version to the switch to version, to
which you will say yes, and I will tell you why.
So you'll say yes, and it will take you to
the Eastore and then you go to the Eastore and
then you buy. Yes, you are gonna have to spend
money on this. You buy the switch to version of

(18:27):
Hogwarts Legacy and it'll download, it'll download, and it'll show
up on your on your switch to. So the first
switch game has Hogwarts Legacy. The switch To version has
one of the hippogriffs on the cover. After that, you
can actually remove the switch one version of the game

(18:50):
and return it, return to the library, return it to
game Stop, or what have you. You now own the
digital switch To version and you only paid to Bucks
for it. So that's a pro tip. And it only
works as far as I know. It only works on
Hogwarts Legacy because they have some weird thing not gonna
work on Zelda. I'm not gonna work in any other

(19:12):
game that I'm aware of. But since we're on the
topic of Hogwarts Legacy that does work, I can confirm it.
I have it on my switch too, so I have
Hogwarts Legacy on my PS five, I have it on
my PC, and I have it on my switch to.
Strangely enough, that is not the game that I own

(19:36):
the most of per Se. Actually, I'm gonna ask you
guys this, what game have you bought and rebought the most?
Probably GTA five, right, because I mean everybody's own GTA five.
I have a copy of GTA five for the PC
and the Xbox. Didn't pay for either one. But let's
see mass effect. I say it would be one now

(19:57):
that's just Xbox and PC. Skyrim can be up there.
I think I own Skyrim for the three sixty the
Xbox One. I think I have it on PC, but
that's for a game pass, so that doesn't count so
for version of Skyrim. But my champion, my champion game
that I've bought and rebought over several times has been

(20:19):
Dragon's Dogma by Capcom. I own it for the three sixty.
I owned it again for the three sixty because there's
two different versions, there's Dragon Dogma and Dragon Dogma Darker Risen.
I bought dark Erisen for the Xbox One because I

(20:41):
lost the three sixty version, so that's three versions that
I've owned. I have it for the PS three, didn't
pay for it, I have it for the Switch, and
I have it for the PC. So yeah, I have
a lot of dragons do and it's probably one of
my favorite games. I'll probably talk about that later. It's

(21:04):
one of the best games out there, and I think
it's like what thirteen, fourteen, fifteen years old now, So yeah, anyways,
back to Horwarth's Legacy, the game I've been playing a
lot more of. So obviously now I'm a bad boy
of the school. I sneak out at night and I
do things. I do random missions. I've killed giant spiders,

(21:28):
I've hunted down poachers. I have gotten the trust of
this girl who's like a I forget her name now,
her last name is Sweeten, but she she's really in animals,
and so I play it off as hey, I'm into

(21:49):
animals too, you know, and so like she kind of
trusts my character, and then we go on these things
where we stop cultures and so I guess that's the
most of the romance you can get in this game.
So I mean, yeah, you know this sweet girl who
is like in the animals and stuff, and you know

(22:10):
bad boy in the school. That's the most romance you
can get in this game, by the way, So don't
try to go any further with that. But yeah, I'm
very close because I think I've done three out of
the four trials, at least four Founder trials. And I
know how it ends. I already know, you know, because

(22:30):
I read and I read a head into it because
I kind of want to know how it ends. Even
though I know how it ends, I'm still gonna do it.
I'm still gonna play and still gonna enjoy it. So
am I talking to fast? Sorry, but I find that
if I keep talking and breathing through my mouth, my
nose doesn't get his stuffy. So this is why I'm
doing it Kenny G style. Excuse me, but no, I'm

(22:56):
really really enjoying the game. I highly recommend it. And
if you have a switch too, hey, just do what
I just so told you. And it does work. It
definitely does work. It's not stealing because you are paying
for something and you own. You do own the game,
so even if you return that cartridge, you own the
digital version of Hallwards Legacy on switched to, so it

(23:18):
is your game. It is something you paid for and
you can constantly play. It's registered to your system. And yeah,
that's all I got. I'm just giving you guys a
quick update obviously and doing good, but I think we
will leave it at that. It's been quite some time

(23:42):
since I have felt like, really really felt like doing
a podcast again. If you you know, if you heard
the last episode, I was a little in and out
and I thought I was good, but I really wasn't.
But now I promise you I am good. Good things
are looking good. I am starting to do a couple

(24:03):
more side projects, so if I post a little later
that I normally do, which like today, it's almost like
midnight right now as I'm recording this, but I'm looking
to do a YouTube channel. I'm still not sure if
I should do a YouTube of this because it's just
me talking to a microphone to absolutely nobody, and I

(24:27):
feel I feel a little bit more protected because of that,
because of the things I have said. You know, I've
opened myself a lot to a microphone to a bunch
of complete strangers that I wouldn't say out loud or
I wouldn't say in public. So I think the podcast

(24:48):
is going to stay just a podcast, even though I've
been asked to do video. Maybe if I do interviews,
maybe if I you know, talk about things that aren't
person no like for instance, maybe if I do the
Cyberpunk episode, I'll bring some people in and we'll talk
about Cyberpunk the game, and we'll talk about cyberpunk the

(25:09):
lifestyle or the genre. Maybe I'll do a video then,
But as far as this, as far as what I'm
doing now, what I've done before, when it's just me
being vulnerable and opening myself up to a platform to
an audience. I think that stays as is. I think

(25:31):
that stays as a podcast and just a podcast, but again,
working on a YouTube channel about learning things about me,
wanting to know more about anything. It's it's it's something
I've talked about doing with a couple of friends. I

(25:54):
had something I thought about doing a podcast with another
podcast with where I know a lot of things. I've
done a lot of things. You guys know that I've
you know, chef, professional wrestler, mixed martial artist, caterer, oil change, tech,

(26:15):
geek squad. But uh, there's so much out there that
I don't know, and and it's knowledge is great. Knowledge
is fantastic. I I I crave it. I want to
learn as much as I can, even though my brain
capacity is probably not going to retain a lot of
the stuff that I learned. But you know what it's

(26:36):
it's it's fun. It's it's exercise for my brain, it's
exercise for my health. And it's things that I want
to know, like you know, how to how to be
a cowboy or something like that. You know, But yeah,
I'm doing a lot. It's it's early, got early stages.

(26:57):
Like I I've written like two sentences in a note
book about what I want to accomplish there, and you know,
it's exciting. It's exciting, and I get to be creative.
I get to make more content, which I find relaxing.
I do because as stressful as it is, as stressful

(27:19):
as it is to come up with ideas, to come
up with, you know, fresh things all the time, to
not repeat myself, even though I do I repeat myself constantly,
but just to keep evolving. It's a great exercise and
it's liberating. So if you guys have any ideas, things

(27:39):
that you want to know, things that you want to learn,
things that you wish you knew or learned, throw me
some ideas. Also throw me what games you've played and
what games you played way too much of, And don't
tell me it's GTA five because I have lots of
friends who played GTA five and have never played the
story mode, myself included, I've ever played the story mode,

(28:01):
and I've owned it since it came out. So I
blame GT five for destroying red Dead Redemption Online, by
the way, love Redemption Online such a good game. Rest
in peace. But yeah, we're just gonna we're gonna edit
there I really appreciate guy listening. Appreciate you guys holding

(28:25):
on and didn't call the cops to do a check
on me. I'm good and as always taught to you guys.
