In this episode, I talk about what I’ve been up to—still playing Hogwarts Legacy (no Quidditch, sadly), and reading about the mysterious Bridgewater Triangle in Massachusetts. The main topic is separation—not from my wife, don’t worry—but from the podcast itself. I’m thinking about breaking it into separate lanes for stories, history, and mythology.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, everybody, Welcome back to the bluss A podcast. Loss
is number one podcast in New Hampshire. I am your host,
no agenda, visk, you know me, Still the same og,
more files than the KGB. All right, thought that we
got that cringe all the way. Welcome back to another session,
Session number seventy five. So let's take an oue from
the COVID days. I think we finally flatten the curve.

(00:23):
I've been feeling really good lately, no more, no more anger.
I've subsided breathing exercises. But yeah, I'm still in dairy.
I still hate it very much, but I'm getting over it.
So I have been feeling a lot more creative. So
I have just been pouring all of my anger and

(00:43):
hatred into creating things. I haven't quite corrupted a Khyber
Crystal yet, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to get
there eventually. I am still playing Hogwart's legacy, though me
and Poppy Sweeten are still freeing lovely creatures with our
I guess closest thing we can get to romance missions.

(01:05):
I'm still pursuing the dark arts, and I think I'm finally,
maybe hopefully getting close to learning the final Dark Art,
which is Avada cadavre. I think I said that right.
I'm not sure, Harry Potter. People will probably be attacking
me soon, which is that that spell, That Dark Art
spell is the instant kill. And like I've said, I'm

(01:27):
I'm thoroughly enjoying this game too bad. At there there
isn'tquidditch in there, which is weird because they literally have
a quidditch field in the game and have you flying
around it, but they don't actually let you play the game.
Hashtag sad Potter. So I have been reading currently reading

(01:48):
about the Bridgewater Triangle. For those of you who don't know,
there is a place in Massachusetts that's known to have
an area about two hundred square feet that that has
its own mysteries where there's hauntings people see and hear
voices and dogs barking where there aren't none UFOs and

(02:12):
mysterious lights. There's even bigfoot sightings and others strange and
some times shadowy creatures. If you want to, If you
want me to touch on it some more, let me know.
Comments are always great. So Tonight's main topic, as you
can hear, I still have a cult. Tonight's main topic
is separation. No, I'm not separating from the Missus. She'd

(02:34):
kill me. I've been toying with the idea of breaking
the show to separate entities. I started this. I started
this show as an archive for my son Alex to
know more about his father should I not be able
to tell these stories to him in the future. I
still do that time to time, as you can see,

(02:56):
but we're getting to the point where he's living the
stories in real time, so I won't have to tell
him what's going on. I can recap about what we
did and how much they meant to me to spend
time with him, but he's going to be his own
man and remember his own moments in these times. As filler,

(03:19):
I started doing mythology episodes because I love mythology and
all cultures and beliefs. I wouldn't shut up about Norse
mythologies once I started reading it, or playing God of
War and looking up law mythology and folklore. I also
love history, love love, love history. I put a lot

(03:40):
of time and effort into the Chasing History series with
the Secret War and the Cambodian Genocide, which I took
a year to research and interview Survivors. So at the
beginning of this week, I tasked myself with making a
YouTube channel from start to finish in under seventy two hours.

(04:02):
That means creating the channel, coming up with a logo, description,
writing a script, recording a voiceover, and then editing it
into a video before posting it. I managed to do
that in a little over forty eight hours. I didn't
know editing a minute and a half long video was
going to take me almost three hours, but I got

(04:23):
the hang of it by the end and I was
pretty happy with the results. Now I have a YouTube
channel that's just sitting there, and that's when it hit me.
After I uploaded the video, which was a minute and
a half proof of concept that I can do something
when I put my mind to it, I got a
huge rush of dopamine. Ideas kept flowing through me and

(04:44):
I couldn't sleep well into three am. I thought back,
and that was when I was most successful, just doing things,
no rhyme or reason, just doing it because I wanted
to know if I could. It hit me. I talked
about doing a face list YouTube channel, and that's exactly

(05:07):
what I did. I did a stick figure video, so
I didn't have to show my face, and I really
enjoyed that. And then I thought to myself, since I
love history and mythology so much, those are the videos
I want to do, I could take well, I'm sorry,
I can then take the audio from those videos and

(05:28):
start a history or mythology podcast with that boom, another
hustle and revenue stream, because I enjoy making money and
it'd be hard on these streets. Of course, I still
got to have and I still gotta outline my ideas,
put my thoughts two notes, and then go from there.

(05:49):
But that's the hard part still, it's getting off the ground.
I also tell people who ask me, like, what's it
like doing a podcast, I go, the hardest thing to
do is to push that record button to that actually
put yourself out there. And I still maintain that, like,
I still get nervous before I hit that record button,
which is why there's a long pause sometimes before I

(06:10):
actually start speaking. But I'm getting better at it. I mean,
I probably could edit the pause out, but I'm too
lazy to do it. But going back to that night
where I posted that video, I couldn't get the name
Sybil Luddington out of my head. You might remember her
from session number sixty five, the Forgotten Revolutionary War. Sybil

(06:33):
was just sixteen years old when she took off into
the pitch black night on a forty mile journey from
her home in Fredericksburg, New York to Putnam County, New York.
She rallied four hundred troops under the command of her
father after the British troops rated Danbury, Connecticut, and unlike
Paul Revere and his famous ride, she did it all
by herself and she didn't get caught. So Sybil Luddington

(06:57):
will be my first video. I hope you guys check
out and subscribe to the channel. I'll put the link
in the description. It's it's still a work in progress,
but I assure you it's going to be fun. If
you guys are fans of this podcast, I'm pretty sure
you'll be fans of the channel. So that's all I've got.
Thank you all once again for joining this session of

(07:19):
the podcast. Remember eat your fruit, and as always, well bene. Bye.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
