Speaker 1 (00:21):
just when you thought
I'd gone away for good, I'm
back.
Honestly, I just want to saythanks.
I started this podcast as aform of therapy, really, just so
I could try to verbalize allthe nonsense that I could see
taking place around me.
I never really expected anyoneto listen to it, but listen you
did, and in your thousands.
It is because of you all that Idecided to have another go at
(00:42):
another couple episodes.
So really, you only haveyourselves to blame.
I also want to thank KariFernandez.
Kari works with us in Twinlightand has taken on the job of
helping to produce this podcastdespite her having an actual job
to do as well.
Thanks a lot, Kari, and to allthe guests, thank you for taking
the time and for trusting mewith your secrets.
(01:03):
It is difficult to get guests toappear on the show.
People are shy, they don't wantto raise their profile and they
have many other reasons for notwanting to come on.
I understand that I wasreluctant to even start the
podcast in the first place, butI'm really glad that I did.
A lot of people have contactedme who are not in the industry
to say that they've learned alot from hearing from the guests
that I've been on.
That's of huge benefit to a lotof people and I hope it will be
(01:26):
encouraging to prospectiveguests.
So if you think you havesomething to offer or you know
somebody who would be good, please let me know at rick at
thebillpodcastcom.
A couple of other things that Ineed to mention.
Firstly, I didn't do a greatjob last year of sticking to my
commitment to mention conflicts.
Nobody has noticed, or at leastnobody has brought it up, but I
(01:48):
have and I want to correct it.
So, for full disclosure, in theshow notes of this episode
there is a breakdown.
I've also started a sub stackwhich, for the uninitiated, is a
website for publishingnewsletters.
I intend to write on it fromtime to time.
There is a link in the shownotes.
The first piece is live now andit is, as expected, a rant.
(02:09):
There's a lot happening in realestate at the moment.
House prices continue to rise,Supply continues to be short,
Policy is still severely lacking.
We have big problems, but wealso have a lot of tools as a
society.
It can be fixed, just not superquickly or very easily.
I hope I can continue tocontribute something to the
debate and, if you'll spare methe time.
(02:29):
I'd love for you to keeplistening.
Thanks again to each of you.
