(00:00):
Welcome everybody to the Business of Life podcast,
man.
I got something to talk about today.
Uh Just,
just as a thought,
this is a word.
Have you ever found a good woman?
Right?
Somebody that you care about.
That's nice that be showing you love in all kinds of ways that be just doing things make you feel good,

(00:20):
make you smile,
make you be like damn.
Mm I didn't think they had these out there,
man.
Apparently,
you know they are.
But when you find that person,
one word of a vice,
when they come to see you don't leave them waiting outside in the cold,
waiting on you for 5,
10 minutes because guess what?

(00:42):
Somebody else gonna see that you dropped something?
Oh,
oh,
excuse me?
Oh,
hi lady.
Oh,
who you,
I wish you was waiting for me.
That could happen to you.
You know what I'm talking about?
And you thinking,
oh,
you all comfortable,
you know,
I'll let her get her own parking space.
You better go meet your woman outside.
Tell her to get her own parking space.
You better,
hey,
look,
mess around and hey,

(01:03):
the old songs.
Drop your dime.
Why you gonna pick it up?
They gonna be like,
hey,
excuse me,
uh hey,
I wish she was here for me.
My I wouldn't,
I wouldn't leave my girl waiting outside in the cold.
I would have been there though.
You know,
if he was my girl,
I would be right there for.
You.
Don't get too comfortable,
gentlemen.
You better make sure you be there for that woman.

(01:24):
Meet her outside before she got a chance.
But as a matter of fact,
go get a parking space for her before she get there and be waiting before she get there because she had.
But I tell you what though,
seriously though and in life do make sure you appreciate the things around you.

(01:45):
That's really what's going on here.
Appreciate like good things that you have and good people that you have and make sure you let them know because a lot of times you don't say it,
you might be thinking it sometimes.
Oh I really appreciate this person but they might not hear you say it and they might think,
hey,
maybe they don't appreciate it.
So not only show them you appreciate but also say it,

(02:06):
hey,
I appreciate you.
I appreciate everything you do.
The time spent the little things you do for me,
look them in their eye and say,
hey,
I appreciate you and then do things to show them that you appreciate.
Say,
hey,
babe,
I'm gonna get your nails done.
You know what?
You've been working a long week,

(02:26):
let me go send you to get a massage.
You get rubbed down,
you know,
and then,
you know,
give them some rub down for yourself too.
Don't just let everybody else touch on your woman.
But hey,
sometimes you need to let them go get a good massage and show them that,
hey,
you care,
tell them,
you know,
get them something nice,
like some flowers,
take them out,
do things for them.
Access service.

(02:46):
Go read the five love languages if you need to find out what her love languages are and then give her those love languages because he or she,
whether you're dating,
you know,
your guy,
your woman,
whatever it may be,
show them that you care.
Not just the person you're dating in any relationship,
whether it's family,
whether it's friends,

(03:06):
let them know you care.
All right.
Everybody.
That's my word of the day.
Um,
this is the business of life and we are out.

Stuff You Should Know
Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
