Johnny Mansun (00:15):
got A's What's up Welcome to the butcher shop we
back we back in his beach heretoday with Carlos getting into
some heat talk with So Carlos.

Carlos (00:37):
Well guys, thanks for having we got

Johnny Mansun (00:40):
number one here insider Carlos with us. We what
we had to bring him on to thepodcast to give us some inside
perspective from a true diehardheat fan. Not to say that we're
not but I feel like Carlos is alevel above us. Would you agree?
Yeah. Okay. So yeah, what's up,bro? Where are you? Where are

(01:01):
you? I can't talk. Where wouldyou like to start?

Zach (01:03):
Shit. I mean, we could start with Jimmy Butler's
performance last Yeah. So

Johnny Mansun (01:07):
game to Jimmy Butler drop 45 Five and five,
which is?

Zach (01:10):
I think none of that's possible if he's not shooting
those trees. Like I've been, youknow, telling him to do for the
longest right.

Johnny Mansun (01:16):
So Carla? So Zack has been talking shit. And I
think I do do about this alittle while ago. That, you
know, like when it was likeMarch and Jimmy Butler was
shooting like 19% from thethree. And Zach was talking all
this shit saying we're not goingto do shit in the in the
playoffs? Like we're not gonnawin the chip. Because, you know,

(01:37):
we don't have a good enoughteam. Jimmy Butler can't shoot
all this stuff. And here he is.
What's the stat I think he'sshooting right now. Or in the
last 18 games. He's shootingsomething like 56% in the last
12 games. Yep. So yeah.

Unknown (01:54):
So I mean, I was kind of with Zack, I think he had
every right to be kind of notscared going into the
postseason. But we saw it lastyear in the sweep where, you
know, when we played the pucks, you get Brook Lopez in the drop,
and they gave him all the spaceto shoot. And if he's not
hitting them, they're not gonnarespect him. And if he goes in

(02:15):
with just with a little height,it's gonna give us problems.
Right? So in this, you know, that's why we didn't like the
Cleveland matchup because ofjared allen, or even Mobley. And
luckily, we haven't seen Clintcapela. And this one, even
though I don't think it makesmuch of a difference. But you
see how, how much of adifference it makes, you know,
he doesn't have to make fivethrees. But he makes one or two

(02:37):
before halftime, and the defenserespects him a little more. And
then he can have whatever hewants, and the posts are going
right,

Zach (02:43):
exactly. Like you said, it's not even about him making
it it's just about like gettingthe respect, you know what I
mean?

Johnny Mansun (02:49):
And to get that respect, you have to make it
sometimes. And he's been makingit a lot actually recently,
which is really, really nice to

Zach (02:55):
see. You are right, because otherwise they'll just
Russell Westbrook, you outthere. The thing is,

Johnny Mansun (02:59):
is that, you know, I'm not I didn't bring
that up to say that I wasn'talso concerned. But what I know
of Jimmy Butler is that when itcomes playoff time, he's going
to show up, you know, and I feellike a lot of people, especially
in the national media, weresaying, Oh, who's the Miami
heats closer, they don't have acloser, Jimmy Butler goes out

(03:22):
and puts 45 on on Atlanta'shead. And then everyone's like,
Oh, my God, Jimmy Butler, andthey're mentioning him with D
Wade, and LeBron. And, you know, like, I don't know, can we
actually I'd like for you tovent a little bit for us and for
our audience about how terriblethe national coverage has been,

(03:42):
especially from ESPN. On theMiami Heat.

Unknown (03:46):
Oh, it's awful. I mean, I think you said it. But a
couple practices ago, they askedhim the same thing. He brought
it up. I mean, it's just not asexy team, right. Like, we don't
got a 30 point for game guy. Wedon't have guys that go off for
40 every couple of weeks. Wedon't have, you know, we don't
have that much drama. And well,we did have drama. Oh, no, we

(04:07):
were on undisputed the nextmorning. And of course, hey. And
so we're very even. That's notto say that there isn't drama.
It's just Miami's a first classorganization. going to we're
going to be the last ones tohear of anything, if anything
were to happen. So when theoutbursts happened on the bench,
oh, no, it's or the heatcrumbling or the Celtics kind of

(04:27):
take the first seat. Can we takethat seriously, and it's just
the same thing over and over.
But that's cool. To me wins talkplayoff wins talk, I don't think
we need that 30 point for me. Wedidn't need it in 2020. We were
to two wins away from numberfour. So they can keep ignoring
as long as we keep winning theseplayoff games. They're gonna be
forced to talk about us once weget to the end.

Johnny Mansun (04:49):
Right. And I feel like you're seeing that right
now. You know, as we take careof the Hawks, and as
Philadelphia takes care ofToronto, I think that matchup of
Philly Miami, especially withthe history of Jimmy Butler
playing for Philly is veryenticing to the national media
and they want to talk about it.
Especially with him beingarguably the best player in the

(05:11):
league this year.

Unknown (05:15):
Yeah, so we're on a collision course with them. I
mean, yeah, it's gonna be agreat series. I can't wait for
tomorrow's game and see, as longas we go through all the coffee,
but the first two days, we havebeen pretty comfortable saying
that it'll be fairly.

Johnny Mansun (05:31):
Me too. I think Zack agrees.

Zach (05:33):
Yeah, I agree with that. I just have Wonder Man, that
Philly series, you know, like, Ilove bam, and I think BAM can
guard and be but you know, opinions have been on a crazy
tear and like, who can reallyguard him? You know what I mean?

Johnny Mansun (05:48):
Right? But not not no one open? If?

Zach (05:52):
And when would you get some foul trouble and shit. You
know, like, that's gonna put usin some shape. Because now if
it's just Deadman, you know, down there wit and be like,
yeah, that's come on. And then

Johnny Mansun (06:03):
if we have to go somewhere like year seven. Yeah,
a year. If we gotta go to yearseven, like then we're
struggling for real, because, you know, Carlos has pointed
this out to me before that, youknow, he he's, he's a great
rebounder, but his defensereally needs to improve. But
we're such a deep team. I'mreally not worried about foul
trouble. Because ultimately, small ball is what's really

(06:26):
dominating the league right now.
And you look when you look atGolden State, you look at Steph
Curry, Klay, Thompson, Jordanpool, you see how devastating
that is for teams to competeagainst. And I think that Miami
is playing that game. And I loveit. Because I think that's how
you win championships in theleague. In this league in this
in this day and age.

Zach (06:47):
So if we were to go to the conference finals, and I'm gonna
say we are right. And we had toplay either Milwaukee, Boston or
Brooklyn. Do you see us beatingeither, though, see,

Johnny Mansun (06:59):
we could beat all those teams. I'm not scared of
any of those teams, to be honestwith you. Now with Chris
Middleton out, number one.
Number two, I'm not scared ofBrooklyn at all. They can't play
defense. They're not coachedwell, and they have to good
players who if they're notshooting lights out. They can't
even hang in

Zach (07:15):
the game. Simmons is coming back though. So it's
definitely going to change thenSimmons is a brick though. So

Johnny Mansun (07:19):
like, follow him at the end of the Game and

Zach (07:21):
Watch. Watch. Yeah,

Johnny Mansun (07:23):
that'd be good.
We're not playing Brooklynbecause not getting past the
Celtics. Go ahead, Carlos.

Unknown (07:30):
I don't see the the interest in Ben Simmons coming
back. We're talking about a guywho's been gone for a year.
Right. And he's not coming backduring regular season games. on
a on a minute restriction. warmhim up. Are you gonna play off
game if he comes out? He looksrusty. That could that's an L
your game closer to elimination?
I don't and he's not, you know, this. This ultra telling them

(07:52):
LeBron or Durant is expensive.
And if you're getting a 50% thatis gonna make that much of a
difference.

Zach (08:01):
I understand that rationale. I just think we're
under estimating Ben Simmons.
Because I think that all BenSimmons has to do in this series
is go out there. play gooddefense, right. Lock up. You
know, whoever Jalen brown JasonTatum, one of those two, for
whatever possession it is, youknow, give Cady the time to not
have to sit there and you know, sweat his ass off the whole game

(08:22):
and then make good passes, whichhe can do you know, and then get
some easy layups. And that'sliterally all he's gonna have to
do so

Unknown (08:32):
I'll take him over Patty Mills or Dragas right now
because I don't know if you sawdragon lost out there bro. Like
he can't get past anyone. Allhis shots are contested and it's
I just feel bad for the dude.

Johnny Mansun (08:48):
Josh was cooking a little bit in that in that
game yesterday. I don't know ifyou if you saw it, bro. He hit
like four six shots orsomething.

Unknown (08:56):
Yeah, but when you think that just two seasons ago,
this guy was averaging 2122 Forfor one of the top teams in the
east just to see him now.
Chugging over d3 got the shotclocks running out.

Johnny Mansun (09:07):
It's a he's on a he's on a way worse team, in my
opinion. For sure. And withoutworse organization. So couple a
couple stats, right, exactly, exactly. So a couple stats we
got here. So most points throughthe opening two games have a
playoff campaign in history. Wehave Jimmy Butler at 66 points,

(09:27):
which is this this year. We haveLeBron at 59 points we have
Dwayne Wade at 55 points. Like Isaid Jimmy Butler's shooting 56%
on catch and shoot threes overhis last 12 games. And most
threes by he player in a playoffgame was just set in game one by
Duncan Robinson. But the nextthree records are also by Duncan

(09:51):
Robinson at seven in 21. Andthen twice in 2020.

Zach (09:55):
I was asking John this a couple days ago. Is Duncan Rob
Duncan Robinson make like theMiami Heat like all time team,
like on 2k, or whatever you gaveme.

Unknown (10:08):
Like top tier team.
Yeah. See make it if you get thechip out, I would throw him in

Zach (10:15):
without the chip just saying right now.

Unknown (10:20):
Now with three championship things, man, you
could probably have seen

Zach (10:24):
better players than you probably could but like it's
like, I feel like he makes it

Johnny Mansun (10:30):
to the championship making

Unknown (10:31):
like that. That 10 to 15 range.

Zach (10:35):
Because it's like he owns all the three playmakers now,

Johnny Mansun (10:38):
but the game has changed drastically and
literally such.

Unknown (10:43):
I was seeing that stat.
I was thinking like, Yo, theyhad Mike Miller running around
the half court coming off, dribble handoff, and running
through two dudes like what dudewould have two back surgeries.
It would be in Baptists everyweek, like, like he does not
that type of game no more. Yeah, you right. Now, if Mike Miller
was doing that today at 25 yearsold, I'm sure he'd be great too.
But it is a different game.

Johnny Mansun (11:06):
Right? I totally agree. So assuming that the he
made the hot the heat meet theSixers in the second round? Who
do you have winning that seriesand how many games

Unknown (11:20):
I'm gonna go heated.
I'm gonna go in and say to startas Jimmy Butler Aaron Miami
they've always they've pairedreally, really well get the
Sixers at at home at Philly somegames with Jimmy seventh up
Tyler. When I remember now isthat gave Vince end game this

(11:41):
season what was clearly KyleLowry and shooters. We've been
on like 20 You know they'vealways fared well against them.
We've got the defenders forheart in for Tyree. Joining beat
is going to give us problems.
We're not going to stop him.

Johnny Mansun (11:55):
But he does everyone problems. Yeah,
exactly.

Unknown (11:59):
Like I remember that series in 2018 when we played
them in the first round you knowhe was having his way with
anyone like Whiteside Bam is adifferent band now and we
obviously there's no Hassan. SoI think I give the heat given.

Johnny Mansun (12:17):
Okay, what do you got Zach? I

Zach (12:19):
don't know for sure. He didn't six in six. Because I
think James Harden might haveone game where he goes off after
being like locked up for likefour three, you know, but my
thing is, is on Boston.

Johnny Mansun (12:34):
Let me get to my tape real fast. And then we'll
cover the other side. I actuallyI feel like it'd be heating
seven. I feel like the heat. Ifeel like the heat, close it out
at home and game seven andreally earn their way to that
Eastern Conference Finals andtake care of business and make
it to the finals.

Zach (12:50):
How do you see Philly beating us like three times?

Johnny Mansun (12:55):
I think that going away to Philly isn't going
to be easy, especially becausewe have a lot of guys who are
untested in the playoffs. A lotof young guys a lot of undrafted
guys that granted are verytalented have a lot of potential
I just haven't seen them do itin the playoffs and I haven't
really seen them do it in thefirst two games of this year. So

(13:15):
I don't think that's a lock. SoI'm kind of under estimating the
heat in the sense just because Ihaven't seen it but not because
I believe necessarily thatthat's how they're going to
perform. But it is the playoffsand we have to see what a lot of
these guys are made out of weknow a Jimmy's made out of we
know a BAM can do in theplayoffs with that block on

(13:36):
Jason Tatum

Zach (13:37):
no at Tyler.

Johnny Mansun (13:37):
We know what Tyler can do. He hasn't been
doing a lot recently, but hehonestly really hasn't needed to
Game One was a wash and Game TwoJimmy Butler was taking over so
we'll see. But I have faith inhim. But yeah, I don't know.
You're right. How could I don'tsee? It's hard to see Philly
beating us in our sorry, beatingus three times. But they're

(14:00):
gonna have three games at home.
And I feel like they could wintwo of those and maybe steal one
in Miami and like Game Two orsomething maybe? Or I don't
know. But I just have a feelingthat it's gonna be a really
tough series that we're going tostruggle to.

Zach (14:16):
Well, you know, 10 Yeah, with Joel and B, you know, being
the fall merchant he is orwhatever I

Johnny Mansun (14:22):
that's what I was gonna say. Like, we're gonna
struggle to guard him and that'sgoing to keep them in a lot of
games.

Zach (14:27):
As long as BAM doesn't get in foul trouble. I think we'll
be good. But if Ben gets in foultrouble is going to be really
tough.

Johnny Mansun (14:34):
I honestly feel like Philly is going to be a
harder team for us to beat thanany of those three other teams.
I think Milwaukee Boston or, orBrooklyn. I like all those
matchups a little bit moreactually, I'm not afraid of any
of those teams, especially withChris Middleton being out seeing
how Milwaukee is playing thisthis playoff so far. I'm not

(14:56):
scared of them at all. Notscared of Boston, Boston is
cannot beat us. And I'm notscared to Brooklyn because we
will beat them in five.

Zach (15:04):
I mean, I don't know I think the way the rest that
Boston play defense, you know,

Johnny Mansun (15:10):
look at how the refs lead us by defense. We're
both very we're two of the bestdefensive teams. I get the
Celtics have the best team inthat list. I think I think the
heat in the Celtics have thebest two teams and I just did
not just because that

Zach (15:21):
stars like Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. I'm just like,
it's gonna be hard, man.

Johnny Mansun (15:27):
I feel you may be playing the Celtics.

Zach (15:29):
I don't know, I'm just buckets when they want, you know
what I mean. And then all thegrass had been hitting shots and
like they know how to play.
They're just like, like a hardnosed team who like you know,
plays their role and shit.

Johnny Mansun (15:40):
What do you think Carlos? Who do you think gives
the heat the most amount ofproblems in these playoffs?

Unknown (15:48):
I'm gonna go with the Star Bar. I'm just gonna go with
with with Boston here. I mean, like, we played them in the
playoffs before, of course, it'sa different time, a different
team. younger players is abetter Boston team. They're
super well coached. You know, the defense is strong, like
those final scores are going tobe like 90 to 89. Like, it's

(16:09):
going to come down to the bigplayers making big shots towards
the end, because I don't see anyblowouts in those two games. And
judging by how bosses areplaying Brooklyn, that TD Garden
looks like a super tough placeto play. Like that arena is
rockin whenever Kai returns itover wherever it is, like, so.
You're talking about like theyoung players crumbling or
whatever. I could see it. Butyou know, we just won these last

(16:33):
two games by double digits ormore. And we've gotten like
nothing from them and kind oflike in terms of scoring like
less than 10 points. So I feellike each one of these guys is
due for a big game. Like itcould be Tyler tomorrow. It
could be Kyle tomorrow. Andlike, you never know. That's why
we're the first the first thingthat eats because you just have

(16:54):
these guys like Drew. VincentTyler just gonna give you 20
Plus One games. Well, Jimmy andKyle will have a mimosa in the
back. And we're going to win by15 This has been that type of
game.

Johnny Mansun (17:09):
Right but that's been in the that's been in the
regular season. And what I'mfeeling is sort of like these
guys are young, they'reuntested. I want to see how they
fare in like a in like a TD inthe garden or whatever. Like I
want to see how they fare

Zach (17:22):
they've been a lot man they've worn a lot earlier and
even just walking they got somerunning so I think they'll be
fine you know what I mean?

Johnny Mansun (17:30):
But the pressure is higher it's not necessarily
like just the crowd but like thepressure of the moment is bigger
because it's the playoffs Whatif it's a game seven or like you
know it's a two two series andyou got to hit a shot to go up
that to that three to like Iguess

Zach (17:42):
who do you trust more Payton Pritchard or fucking Max
truce?

Johnny Mansun (17:46):
I'm not scared of the Celtics. And that's what I'm
saying. I'm a little more scaredof like we

Unknown (17:50):
did hit a game winner on it.

Johnny Mansun (17:51):
So I'm just

Zach (17:53):
You're right.

Johnny Mansun (17:54):
I agree with you guys that Boston is a better
team than Philly but I feel likehow we match up I would be more
concerned with Philly justbecause of Embiid and I think
he's he's the best player on anyof those three teams. And that's
where I'm coming from I guessand also i don't know i don't
know I'm not really scared ofDoc Rivers. I don't think he's

(18:15):
like an all time great coachnecessarily like I wouldn't say
he's like top 15 But maybe liketop 25

Unknown (18:21):
Yeah, I mean you have the right week is over the young
guy but that's the exact reasonthe offseason look like the way
it did. They didn't just go outand sign whoever like they got
Kyle Lowry right aside frombeing Jimmy's boy and be one of
the best point guards availableon the market. He is a champion
and the champion when go go winone in Golden State. And people
forget that final game in GoldenState to get the ring dude had

(18:43):
what 25 Plus with like six orseven threes? Yeah, he went on
the type of guy you want on theteam PJ Tucker one one last
year. Getting wherever Iremember the offseason was
between Kyle Lowry or CollinSexton like that. For me. That
was ridiculous to think about, Ithink you'd think kind of
Laurie, you know, and 100% Soyou have a good blend of Beth
and the young guys. Like I said,it's anyone who on any given

(19:04):
night to give you a good boost,

Johnny Mansun (19:06):
right? And I think our team is really really
well constructed. I'm not andthat's why I'm saying I'm not
really afraid of any of theseteams. I'm not I haven't been
since the playoffs started areright before the playoffs and I
was thinking about and lookingat the league. I was I'm not
scared of any one team in theeast. I'm really not I think
Miami can reasonably beat all ofthem. Any of them.

Zach (19:27):
Alright, so saying that then you think we're gonna win
the finals? Like

Johnny Mansun (19:32):
Well, here's the thing. I don't know if we're
going to win the finals. But Ihave a very very what would you
say? That that we're going tomake it to the finals? It I
don't know, man, because when Ithink about it,

Zach (19:46):
like I don't want it in the West that scares you. I

Johnny Mansun (19:49):
mean, yeah, the only team, the only team in the
West that scares me and I feellike Carlos is going to totally
agree with me is Golden State.
Yeah, as I say like, bro, whatthe fuck I mean, that's
literally

Zach (19:59):
I I mean Phoenix Steph Curry, pretty good. And I
watched him literally I mean,DEVIN BOOKER is gonna

Johnny Mansun (20:05):
Booker's out for three weeks in this series and
the series is already won oneYeah, I mean bro New Orleans has
a nasty roster and they don'thave Zion back but they have a
dirty

Unknown (20:19):
yeah all they beat it it's time to gel and get put
together they they've caught ifthey catch fire there's no
better time than one one goingback to New Orleans with Brandon
Ingram McCollum Herb Jonesbalance I mean, they catch fire
now like that team if it was youknow, they played well together
and handle that chemistry fromfrom Game one in the regular

(20:39):
season. That was the top sixteam that was the way they look.

Johnny Mansun (20:44):
Especially with Zion back. Yeah,

Unknown (20:47):
I can only imagine so because fire now it's not gonna
be easy. I mean, Chris Paul is aseasoned vet and they still have
bridges and eight and I thinkthey'll still tough it out but
not gonna be a walk in the parkthat a one in eight teacher look
like?

Johnny Mansun (20:59):
I think I think that the heat signal, I think
that the heat heats chanceswinning of winning of finals
goes up significantly. IfPhoenix gets bounced by the
pelicans, because then I think, yeah, there's no way the
pelicans make it to the finals.
And I just I just see a heatGolden State Warriors Collision
Course, bro. I'm calling itright now. That's just what I
see. I don't see anyone stoppingthe heat in the East. And I

(21:22):
don't see anyone stopping GoldenState in the West. I just don't

Zach (21:27):
have you got one in Carlos. Memphis or Minnesota.

Unknown (21:32):
I'm gonna go with Memphis in the end. I know
business owners aren't allowedto check right now.

Zach (21:37):
And wait, like six or seven?

Unknown (21:41):
Yeah, that's gonna go the distance. I'm gonna go
Memphis and seven. There's justtoo young, fast paced teams and
the great series. But I'multimately gonna give it to to
the team that was second in theWest. Right? It's a tough place
to play Minnesota and everythingbut and I don't see an Edward

(22:03):
shooting. You know, he's beenshooting crazy from three
getting whatever he wants topaint. I don't see him doing
that every game. I mean, if I dowhatever, it's it's time to
shine. But I just don't see it.

Johnny Mansun (22:15):
And then this one tonight, so they're up to one
right now.

Unknown (22:19):
Okay, so yeah, last time I checked, I saw that.
Minnesota was

Johnny Mansun (22:22):
up 20 on it.
Really? Minnesota blew 20 pointlead tonight. Yeah, they were up
20 Like in the first? Yikes.
Yeah, I don't I think thatMinnesota has a lot of problems
like with discipline and, andfocus. You know, like, it seems
like they can sometimes get outof hand. And I don't I don't
believe in cat at all. Cats.
Soft.

Unknown (22:45):
All those small market fans on Twitter for Minnesota or
Indiana have gone over thatorganization. Stay bad, bro.
They stay bad. They're happywith everything. They make the
playoffs. They throw a parade.
There's a seven seat. They throwa parade. They win their
division and their hobbies. Yousee, we didn't need you in
Boulder. That's a plug up bro.
That's why all y'all alwayshappy because y'all said like

(23:07):
these small bars if they eatOmega like the finals. We're all
shitting on everyone. Jamiewe're sitting on spa. We're
trying everyone. We're used tobecause we got three chips since
2006. Oh, you know, that's whatI had. I had a Cleveland fan in
my mentions a couple months ago.
say like, oh, you're gonna watchout for Cleveland, man. They're
coming into play. I don't evenmake this shit. Okay, there's

(23:29):
more marketing. I got the wholestate of Indiana. Hey, I don't
give a fuck. I know we have WiFi

Johnny Mansun (23:37):
data as they have Wi Fi all the way out there in
the middle of nowhere. Isn'tthere like no bad bitches out
there. I'm playing you know, Igot hid. Nah, so. So yeah.
Carlos. So do you see us gettinggoing against in the in the
Eastern Conference Finals sayingconsidering that you said we're

(23:59):
beating Philly and six.

Unknown (24:02):
I'm gonna I'm gonna have to be Boston because I
mean, I would have never putnothing past Milwaukee. We
literally thought yawn. It'sbeen his knee up down sideways
last year. back and beat theheart because I was like, crazy.
So Chris Middleton. I know he'sgot a couple of weeks but if the
honest is the MVP that he is onthe defensive player of the year
that he is he's got to carry brobecause you know, that's what

(24:28):
makes a champion. For me achampionship teams or teams are
like you're missing you'renumber one. You're number two.
You still go through like Idon't know if you guys remember
one of the big three was around.
Whenever LeBron or D Wade wasout Chris Bosh would have a
monster game with the otherguys. It's like, that's just
good coaching. And that's justlike, guys stepping up that
makes the championship teamyou're not a championship team

(24:50):
if you're one guys out you'regetting blown out by Courtney.
Yeah, so not gonna countMilwaukee out but it is gonna be
hard for them because he is thatlike you that that shot.

Johnny Mansun (25:02):
Yeah, he's there.
Number two. He's their best shotmaker.

Zach (25:06):
Yeah, dude on her walkie I'm really scared of

Johnny Mansun (25:09):
he's the dude who hit the fucking game winner
against us in the playoffs lastyear.

Zach (25:14):
Completely. Yeah, bro that changed

Johnny Mansun (25:17):
the playoffs for us.

Unknown (25:19):
Yeah, we want to pick your one game in Milwaukee, we
come back to Miami with adifferent mindset

Johnny Mansun (25:23):
100%. And after the year before, where we beat
them in the second round prettyeasily. It seemed. Yeah, I think
that they were already we werealready in their heads thinking.
I don't know how we're going tobeat this team. Especially if we
take game one.

Unknown (25:37):
beat us in. No, we beat him in five. But that one game
was because of Chris Middleton.
If I remember. Like you justwent nuclear.

Johnny Mansun (25:44):
Yeah. So it says he's out for what, two or three
weeks? Three to four weeks

Unknown (25:50):
from, like a local Milwaukee guy to Kobe Agrippa.
Now well, what I saw through theother guy's like what was in
Sham. One guy said just gamesthree and four and then they'll
see for the next round. Butthat's just them probably being
optimistic. Because that's,that's a that's a nice spring.

Johnny Mansun (26:08):
Right? Right.
He's straight. He injured hisMCL and what do you think about
this book or injury? He strainedhis right hamstring, right?

Unknown (26:16):
Yeah, that's gonna be big. But you know, I haven't
seen the sons without books. Iknow they played an extensive
period without CP three and theystill got it done that's what
I'm saying championship teamsyou miss you know guy one a or
guy one beat. You still find away and they did that without CP
three towards the end. But lookis your your number one number
one. But you know, Chris Paul, super savvy. Mike. Michael

(26:40):
Britton is a monster on defense.

Zach (26:45):
I don't know. Yeah.

Johnny Mansun (26:47):
Speaking of defense, defense bamps Not a top
three defender in the leagueright now. What's going on?
Carlos?

Unknown (26:55):
Yeah, no, that's what you alluded to earlier that we
get no we get no damn coverage.
You know, you know, we get knownas we get national TV
appearances, but we don't getyou know, like we don't get
covered like sons do we don'tget covered like the Celtics do.
I mean, Utah Jazz had like fourmore nationally televised games
this season.

Zach (27:15):
And they're the fuck added

Unknown (27:20):
in a small market like I don't understand like, what

Zach (27:22):
does the good thing is that they're gonna release who
voted for who? And then wereally get to see who actually
knows basketball and who doesn'tright and then we can just shun
them on Twitter

Johnny Mansun (27:35):
type type we can all collectively bully them. So
I saw this I saw this tweet thatsaid Not gonna lie, Stephen A
Smith. Having a vote on MVPmakes me feel funny as hell
about that award. And there's aclear sign there's clear signs
he pays attention to like threeteams Max.

Unknown (27:52):
Yeah, man. I mean, he's human like they got him covering
every damn sport on ESPN. Likehe's not going to retire or
watch every starting all the 30NBA game like I saw a segment
the other day where they madethem talk about like a boxing
match and he just Oh, that guy'sbig. He got a good lip pan I'm
like

Johnny Mansun (28:12):
out there for everything

Zach (28:15):
to fucking face at this point, but

Johnny Mansun (28:18):
yeah, he's a face and a voice you know? Like he's
just like a personality. That'sall he is.

Unknown (28:23):
Talking about the matches a couple weeks ago Tiger
Woods

Johnny Mansun (28:27):
is gonna be good.
Anything that has remote likelike popularity or remote anyone
gives a fuck? They're like yothrow Steven Naismith out there
to talk about it like do histhing using Stephen

Zach (28:39):
A to get people to watch the Masters

Johnny Mansun (28:43):
Oh no, we got to watch out for Tiger Man. He
wanted in 2019

Unknown (28:48):
It'll give you no numbers he's gonna be like Tiger
Woods is you will give you thenumbers Tigers like 19th in the
tournament. He has no fuckingclue what's going on?

Zach (28:58):
We like Tiger hasn't won in four years

Johnny Mansun (29:04):
tough so yeah, BAM was snubbed for defensive
player of the year we have somestats here so you want to read
that that playoff defensivefield goal percentage. This one
that was

Unknown (29:13):
crazy. Ridiculous.

Zach (29:16):
So we got Marcus smart 55% What are we looking at here?
Play off defensive field goalpercentage. Okay. Marcus smart F
85%. Rudy go bear at 32%. McHalebridges at 28.6% and bam autobio

(29:36):
at 18.8%. So I mean, I guesshe's locking shit down but I
don't know, man. You know hownumbers can be deceiving? I
still think Bam is obviously thebest defender in that group. I
just think it really is crazyman that like not even top
three. I mean, he's for sure topthree. I didn't get voted this

(29:58):
top three. But we He talkedabout you know, like they just
don't like actually give him therespect he's supposed to get. So
I wonder how the all MBAs aregonna look like I mean I wonder
did he have all NBA year like hemissed a chunk of games like 13
He might make that that's thebiggest knock on him is that he
missed some games he made theirteam last year I think

Unknown (30:21):
we have a ton of third team guys you know it's not the
team that we have for sure andone all NBA guy at best we can
have an all NBA second but thisteam has always been like you
know, Jimmy's always made allNBA third team bandcroft
trending in that same way. Kyledoesn't put up the numbers to be
on the team but his impact isimmeasurable.

Johnny Mansun (30:43):
So I saw this other stat says touches defended
by position percentage of totaltouches defended so we have BAM
got with guards 28.4% forwards31.8% and centers 38.1% So
that's a percentage of totaltouches defended so it looks

(31:05):
like he's guarding guardsforwards and centers almost
evenly trending obviouslytowards the bigger guys but
because he's through one throughfive right exactly a true one
for one through five but then wego to Marcus smart guards 73%
forwards 20% and senators 6%Okay Get the fuck out

Unknown (31:25):
the guard 100 players and six homers one through five
it's a joke it's ridiculous

Johnny Mansun (31:32):
it's a joke. So and then we have lastly we have
bridges guards 75% forwards 19%and senators 4.5% So someone in
this list is not like the otherscan you spot it for me

Unknown (31:49):
that's crazy how that's back and just go

Zach (31:51):
by I think hopefully though, the narrative is like
shaping up for BAM next year toget it because like now it's
gonna make

Johnny Mansun (31:58):
a deep playoff for like for that to happen we
need more respect and the onlyway we get that from the
national media is is byperforming well in the playoffs
outside of the bubble. I think

Zach (32:08):
that is true but I also think BAM complaining now when
you say complaining but you knowvoicing his opinion on it you
know what I mean? also shedlight to it and other people you
know on like sports thatactually know what they're
talking about you know, becausehe definitely should have gotten
it or been in the top three likethat was insane I mean I get
bridges he's a good player but Imean he's not a better

(32:31):
definitive on BAM How can you

Unknown (32:32):
be the number one seed in the East be you know have all
the numbers that show your topone or two defenders in the
league and not make it in thetop three just showed you that
all these reporters and analyststhat got paid six figures said
what do you think don't watchthis shit dude I'm

Zach (32:47):
like bro it's crazy man.

Johnny Mansun (32:50):
I wouldn't if I was making six figures to like
do that job bro. I would watchlike a couple teams and be like
oh I forgot like I was busy likeI had to take my girl out to
dinner like I just think

Zach (33:01):
it's funny cuz I feel like bridges isn't even like
defensively he's not even betterthan like Jimmy so like Jimmy
can be on there over him you getin like Marcus smart is like is
a wild having him on there forme he was like he's not the
Defensive Player of the Year byany fucking standard like yeah,

Unknown (33:20):
can he guard can Marcus mark you know guard Yiannis for
30 minutes

Johnny Mansun (33:24):
GET THE FUCK at and then go and then go and
guard Kyrie in a different game.

Unknown (33:28):
No man lamkins A good team rotational defender hustle
guy dies the loose ball makingBleacher Report for diving pros
but you know go guard LeBron ina seven game series.

Zach (33:41):
And like saying like putting him like next to the
glove, you know Gary Payton andbeing like, Yeah, this is a guy
we're gonna give it to like,Dude, fuck outta here.

Unknown (33:50):
I don't make no sense.
who guards the last 20 yearsbecause

Zach (33:53):
he plays for Boston Nash's

Johnny Mansun (33:55):
bad karma for Boston. That's what's gonna say
it's because he plays for theBoston Celtics, who won a bunch
of championships when they wereplaying against like part time
plumbers and teachers. We allknow that. But uh, I mean, this
is bad karma for the Celtics. Ithink that we're going to face
the Celtics in the EasternConference Finals. And I think
that it's going to be clearwho's the better defender
between smart and bam.

Unknown (34:17):
Nearly at all playoff theories stolen from them by the
heat because bam. Denied JasonTatum for a game winning dunk.
Yeah. I don't think Mark issmart even you know, doing
something close to that. No,there's just two different types
of defenders.

Johnny Mansun (34:33):
Exactly. It's not even fair. But alas, we must
digress. Okay, so lastly, let'slet's let's just finish this off
with our our full predictionsfor the playoffs. So did you
give us your prediction for theEastern Conference Finals? You
said it was going to be Bostondid you give us the games

Unknown (34:57):
I'm gonna go with seven. I think the heater
reflects their home courtadvantage Mosul in the east in
that game. Gonna go seven wehave a big game here in Miami
and I cannot wait.

Johnny Mansun (35:10):
Oh yeah, what about us?

Zach (35:14):
Yeah, I'm gonna definitely have to go seven for sure. I
mean, it's just gonna be toughplaying them great defensively.
They got a lot of firepower onoffense, and they can switch and
they can just do everything man.
I mean, they're a great team. Imean, I like I said, I look at
them like us. And like, if I ifI wanted to have a roster that's
not us having to wings likeJason Tatum and Jalen brown. You

(35:38):
know what I mean? Right? Who aregreat offensively and
defensively you know, and thenall the pieces that they have
the complement them you know,Daniel Tice, exactly. Daniel
case we get minutes on the MiamiHeat, and he would save them
from doing that and then noCatholic Yannick bro. Carlos, do
you agree with that?

Unknown (36:02):
They'll probably get Rob Williams back by the time of
the conference. Ryan

Zach (36:05):
Yeah, that would be that'd be hard though. Like, you know,

Johnny Mansun (36:09):
who knows who knows how that changes their
whole team, and obviously makesthem better on TV.

Zach (36:14):
He's literally the best defensive player on

Unknown (36:16):
the team. That's true, but the playoffs are a different
game. Or whenever you throwwhenever you throw a wrench in
the rotation like that, likelook at Clint capela being out
for like a couple games. He'sdone a big time, you know, Star
level guy, but Trey is soaccustomed to that pick and roll
having the big guy there openthat when they throw in this
guy, Gallinari or a congu Hedoesn't know what the fuck to

(36:38):
do. And he throws up 10turnovers like you throw a
wrench in the rotation. Puttingone guy one guy out it might not
even be beneficial. So I'mexcited to see Ben Simmons come
back helps or hurts.

Zach (36:48):
Hey, man, I've really had a look at Brooklyn's gonna make
it to the conference

Johnny Mansun (36:52):
why most no shows you're crazy no shot I don't
think it's no shot but you justsaid Boston's gonna we're gonna
play Boston. Oh, yeah. No, letme give you my let me give you
my take. So I think we playBoston I think we'd be Boston
and six. I think we're still inthere in their head from from
the bubble from the EasternConference Finals in the bubble.
I think that's recent in theirmemory. And I think if we with

(37:13):
our home court advantage, take anice two Oh, lead. I don't see
them coming back and winning. Idon't see it taking seven at
that point. And I really dothink that we beat them. I think
we beat them the first two gamesin Miami. I think we take like
Game four. I think we go upthree one on them. They get one
more. And then we go and we wentand we went to six.

Unknown (37:32):
I think we take one in Boston or something like you
know, we have just enough bedslike we keep forgetting about
Kyle man like I don't know, it'snot the score, but I could
definitely see him going off fora game. You know, 2025 points,
punishing dudes going under thescreen. Getting inside doing
what he does. And you can feel agame or two in Boston a Miami's
a tough place to play throughlike it ain't no, you know, I

(37:53):
think it's just good to see thegarden when that peppers start
playing man. Crazy in

Zach (37:57):
there. Ya know, that's facts. That's facts.

Johnny Mansun (38:00):
So lastly, to close up the episode. What do
you got in the finals? You gotthe heat going there who you got
from the west?

Unknown (38:10):
I got a golden state from the west. But, you know, I
think this, this year's eachteam is different. I think if
they get as far as the finals, Idon't think there's any way in
hell that Jimmy Butler, ErikSpoelstra, and any of that crew
are gonna let the same thingthat happened in 2020 happened.
They've got all the tools to wingames. They're not playing a

(38:30):
team that has LeBron and AnthonyDavis and dines on them. You
know, it is Steph Curry hasclaimed that but there is going
to be a battle between two toptop seeded coaches, seasoned
players champions, it'sliterally two teams that have
dominated this decade. The waron the heat, right? It's gonna

(38:51):
be well, it's gonna be big. Imean, I really hope that's a
series that we get and I justdon't see that he letting
another one slip.

Johnny Mansun (38:59):
Okay, so you think seventh Eastern Conference
Championship? Fourth WorldChampionship? How many games?
Yeah. Mind you. We don't have wedon't have home court and yes,
exactly.

Unknown (39:14):
I want to say six because I don't know how. How
are we faring against seven inOracle? But it's just gonna be a
big series man.

Johnny Mansun (39:24):
You think we still want in the first two?

Unknown (39:28):
Yeah. I'm not you know, I wish it would have been
Phoenix or something. Becauselike I said, you know, the heat
they don't probably don't wantto let go. The same thing
happened in 2020. The Warriorslast one in 2019. They're
probably still it's gonna getback in there and show we can
win without KD. We'll show youagain. Right. And so it's gonna

(39:50):
be just so tough to say, man, like, my bias is not as strong
in this one.

Johnny Mansun (39:56):
Okay, I hear you, Carlos. And what about you,
Zack? You gotta go. Allstatecoming out of the west,

Zach (40:02):
golden stay out the West.
And I gotta go into six. ThinkJimmy Butler puts on the show,
bam. autobio puts on the showbecause, I mean, I don't think
anyone on Golden State isguarding him. I know who people
might say dream on or whatever,I guess. Whatever. I doubt that,
but I don't know. I just thinkbam, and Jimmy will put on the

(40:24):
show. Someone's gonna have toguard stuff a lot. And I think,
I don't know, it's just it'sdefinitely going to have to go
to six or seven. But yeah, thatwas

Unknown (40:37):
great. But he's definitely one of those players
where like, they have everythingpossible they could throw at
them or like just most teamshave one or two guys. Is that
man like the way we're treatingTrey young? I mean, he's no Trey
young, but just the same way youblitz him you double team him
you throw Jamie Adam, you throwbam. You throw Tucker and users
make his life hell he's gonnahave a couple stinkers in that

(40:57):
series for sure. Like, it's justlike those are the type of
players that he were constructedto. To reduce man like those
heavy ball handling shootersjust it's a nightmare. I get
that.

Johnny Mansun (41:09):
So everyone knows that I'm a huge hockey fan born
and raised in Miami, but for thesake of this argument, in the
sake of this episode, I'mactually going to take Golden
State and seven I just to kindof give it a different
perspective. I fit I think thatGolden State, especially with
Klay Thompson and Steph Curry, the splash brothers, I think

(41:30):
they have a lot of playoff andchampionship experience.
Definitely more than Miami doeswith our star players,
especially. Um, and I just likeyou said, I see winning game
seven and Oracle as very, verydifficult. You know, like,
imagine if we're playing gameseven and Oracle and Steph Curry

(41:52):
and Klay Thompson and Jordanpool are shooting well. How do
you win that game? You don't?
Yeah, so just for just to kindof play devil's advocate I was
just say Golden State and sevenbut I want the heat to win. I
think I believe they can do it.
I've I truly feel like they willdo it. But you know, like I
said, I was just trying to givea different perspective. But I

(42:15):
really I really do think that hecan win it all this year and
regardless of who they match upagainst in any in any round in
any series. Yeah. Is thereanything? Is there anything
you'd like to add Carlos toclose this out?

Unknown (42:29):
I'd say best case scenario cipher rotator to say
young Memphis team breaksthrough and gets kind of lucky
with injuries and just playingin Miami crushes there. So in
the final, that's best casescenarios. I like that in my
head, because I you know, Idon't want to count the number
two seed in the West. But, youknow, it's gonna be a great
playoff that they built on alltheir failures from last year

(42:53):
and built on their search fromthe bubble. And, you know, I
can't wait maybe even five.

Johnny Mansun (43:00):
Hell yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah, he was five against
Memphis in the finals, for sure.
For sure, like that. But I feellike my prediction was kind of
difficult to make on this lastthing I'm gonna say about this
just because of that. DEVINBOOKER injury. I feel like
before that DEVIN BOOKER injury,it was like a collision course
Phoenix in Miami. And that wasgoing to be a great series. That
was what I was looking forwardto. They went to the finals last

(43:22):
year, obviously last. And I kindof wanted to see us beat them
because I feel like they are. Imean, obviously they're the best
record, but I feel like they'retruly feeling to be the best
team and if Miami could beatthem in the finals, that would
really, really be

Zach (43:41):
sweet. Yeah, but that's definitely the thing we don't
want to face.

Johnny Mansun (43:44):
Yeah, of course.
I Phoenix or Golden State. Idon't. Yeah, no, I hear you
though. I hear you though.
Phoenix is nasty. All right.
Well, we're going to come backto this when the finals have
ended, or when the heat are outof the playoffs. And we'll see
how realistic we were. We'll seehow close we were how far we

(44:08):
were, you know, obviouslyinjuries change a lot. And we
can't plan for those. So this isour predictions from today.
April 21. Going into game threeagainst Atlanta tomorrow night
Friday night.

Zach (44:24):
It's gonna be so funny if we like ended up losing the
series and then all the sugarysaying.

Johnny Mansun (44:30):
Nah, nah bro.
Slug that not to not to Treyyoung not to that fucking you're
gonna have people with a fuckingdog

Unknown (44:42):
to New York. Miami Metro Rail

Zach (44:48):
drunk people in the three hundreds at the dolphins games
being like fluctuate. Yeah. ACarlos thanks for coming by man.
I appreciate you Maji

Unknown (45:00):
Oh brah Yeah.

Johnny Mansun (45:02):
Peace out brother everybody got a
