Casey Anthony is an American woman who gained national attention in the United States after being tried and acquitted for the murder of her two-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony. Born on March 19, 1986, in Warren, Ohio, Casey lived in Orlando, Florida, with her parents and daughter. In 2008, Caylee was reported missing by Casey's mother, Cindy Anthony, after not seeing her granddaughter for 31 days. Casey provided conflicting accounts about Caylee's whereabouts, leading to her arrest and a highly publicized trial. In 2011, Casey was acquitted of the most serious charges, including first-degree murder, but was found guilty of providing false information to law enforcement.
