Christianity grew out of Judaism, but it should have never outgrown it! We have lost so much rich background that is important to understanding the entire context of both Jesus' first and second coming to this earth.
The earliest Christians were and continued to be Jews. They simply accepted Jesus as their Messiah which their scriptures and religion told them to expect. Am I saying followers of Jesus should try to be more Jewish? Not at all! However, we could benefit greatly by understanding the Jewish origins of following Jesus!
Of course they had a much greater understanding of what they were doing and why, but many of the practices of the Apostles of Jesus that they continued to participate in after Pentecost, within a couple hundred years were looked at as heresy for a Christian to participate in. Whether or not they were also a Jew.
It is a happy coincidence that this is the week that I talk a little bit about the Passover Seder and how Jesus changed its meaning, which the Christian sacrament of Communion or the Eucharist is now but a shadow of.

Are You A Charlotte?
In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
