Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hi there and welcome
to the Cardcast.
I'm so glad you're here.
I'm Natasha and I'm here toshare a daily practice.
I love pulling an oracle cardand interpreting it through the
lens of my life.
My goal is to help you seeoracle cards as a tool for
noticing and anchoring in yourday.
So take a deep breath, pull upa chair and let's see what the
(00:26):
cards have to say.
Today's card is an oracle fromthe Illustrated Bestiary
Guidance and Rituals from 36Inspiring Animals by Maya Toll,
and our card is the Asianelephant.
At the top it says honorlineage.
In the center we have thisgiant elephant and it's almost
(00:51):
as if this elephant is ourcanvas, because then on this
canvas, specifically in thecenter, is a mountain range with
a path leading from it, andthat could represent a spiritual
journey, any kind of personalgrowth journey, really
Overcoming challenges, becausewe have those peaks and those
valleys of the mountains.
(01:11):
It can signify a quest forenlightenment or wisdom, and
since elephants really representthat wisdom and that
remembering while being able tomove forward, it could be
representative of that.
We also have elephants who aremoving in a circle and the first
thing that comes to mind for meis in the wild elephants will
(01:33):
create an alert circle or anelephant circle, which is
basically a defensive circlethat they'll create around their
young or they're vulnerablewhen they sense any danger.
That circle could also berepresentative of our internal
universe, because outside of theelephant head on this card
(01:55):
there are mandalas.
So if we think about circlesand mandalas, that can be our
internal universe, all thethings that are occurring within
Around those elephants in acircle.
There's also a DNA helix andthat could mean continuity and
resilience, personal evolution, and outside of the personal part
(02:17):
it can also be thatinterconnectedness of life and
how everything, whether it'sgenerational, whether it's
across a workforce, whether it'sacross a community or the world
, there's thisinterconnectedness that is just
inherently there.
The path to the mountains ismade up of water that is coming
(02:39):
from the elephant's trunk, andwater can be cleansing and
purification Over time.
It smooths things down.
It can also be good luck.
I believe I read somewhere thatif an elephant splashes you
with water it's considered goodluck.
So I can't really quote thatone, but I know it exists.
(03:00):
If I put all this together, there's also this element of
connectedness between our pastand our future and where we are
in the present and kind oflooking at all those different
things If I step outside of thecard and I think what could this
mean in the real world?
(03:21):
What are those places on thisjourney that, as I'm moving
through them, could I actuallyuse more boundaries?
Because there's this path thatstarts at the bottom of the card
, from this elephant's trunkthat goes up through the entire
card to these mountains and thenin the center, that is where
this alert circle is from theseelephants.
So it makes me think of wherecan better boundaries be set.
(03:44):
I don't necessarily need to beon the defensive, but there is
something I need to be aware ofand that can be just to move
myself forward through a journeyto get to a realization.
It doesn't necessarily meanthat anything negative is
happening.
Also, this ongoing journey thatwe're on, and it doesn't mean
(04:26):
that we won't have to experiencethat type of thing again but
grabbing onto those lessons, essentially that lineage of
lessons that we're movingthrough so that we can get to a
place where I've seen somethinglike this before.
Maybe this is how I reacted atthat time and I didn't love that
.
That was my reaction, so I wantto change that this time.
(04:47):
Or last time I navigated thisreally well.
I am 100% confident I shouldsay 99% confident that I know
how to navigate this, so now Ican walk into it with a lot more
confidence and a differentmindset.
So when you hear the differentsymbols that I brought up today
(05:07):
for our card, what comes up foryou?
Where could these symbols beimpactful to look at in your own
life?
That's all for today's card.
