Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hi there and welcome
to the Cardcast.
I'm Natasha and I'm so gladyou're here.
Each day I pull an oracle cardand reflect on what it means in
the context of everyday life.
My hope is to help you usethese cards as simple tools for
awareness and grounding.
So take a deep breath, settlein and let's see what today's
(00:24):
card has to say.
Today I'm using a card from theShadow Work Oracle cards, and
our card is Heal Through Art andit says Express your shadows in
art and let healing unfoldCreativity expression.
When I look at the image on thecard, it has an individual
(00:46):
who's dressed in veryprofessional attire.
It looks like a blazer, itlooks like you know nice
workplace-type trousers and wesee the back of them and they're
walking towards this verycolorful plumes of smoke and
they're all different colors, all different shapes, and then
there's also kind of somecelestial type stars.
(01:08):
This reminds me of a lot ofthings, one with the card being
the heal through art.
Many times we can get caught inkind of that corporate hamster
wheel, if you will, or just theworkplace right, even if it's
not corporate.
We can just really get caughtin things that are important.
(01:29):
They're very important tosustain a certain part of our
life and we will then give itmore energy than it needs or
that it necessarily deserves.
If we're not balancing thesehealing parts of us, this
however you make art, whateveryour art is, if you're not
(01:50):
balancing it with those creativeoutlets, we can become really
numb, we can become really burntout, we can really lose our way
and forget that it's these, allthese elements, especially the
artistic ones and the creativeones, that make us who we are,
(02:10):
that make us the our uniqueperspectives and the way that we
see the world.
Because a writer or a painterdoesn't see the world the same
way, because they're looking atsomething through a different
lens, and so when we can leaninto those types of creative
pursuits, it makes everythingelse better.
So when we leave them behind,we are kind of robbing all the
(02:33):
other areas of our life, as wellas our mental health, from the
benefits of these incrediblethings Also in the picture,
because we do see the back ofthe individual.
We do sometimes have to turntowards the light.
We have to turn towards thethings that will refuel us, so
that we can in fact be refueled,so it's not just a oh, I do
(02:56):
this thing and uh, you know I'll.
I'll get to it when I retire,or I'll get to it on the
weekends or whatever that lookslike.
How do we incorporate that intoour everyday?
How do we incorporate that intomaking ourselves happy, you
know, providing that contentmentand that joy in these little
(03:17):
moments?
I was listening to a podcast theother day and one of the
podcast hosts said microthriving, and I loved that
phrase because she said it in areally funny way.
But that's just.
It is that there are so manythings that are coming at us.
There's always things going onin the world and those things
(03:38):
impact us in all different typesof way.
And then there's things goingon in the workplace, and then
there's things going on withinour families, and then there's
things going on within ourselves.
And so if we can find thesemoments of micro thriving,
essentially through this art andhow we bring it forward, that
can really help improve ourmental health.
It really helps improve how weshow up and essentially, it's
(04:01):
one of those things that canconsistently make us happy and
we don't have to wait for it.
As you think about the symbolswe explored today, what comes up
for you?
That's it for today's card, formore reflections and a closer
look at the cards themselves.
You can find me on Instagramand YouTube at the underscore

next episode.
