The "Mermaid's Tears" oracle card reveals the importance of acknowledging our emotional states while recognizing we exist in transitional spaces where balance can still be found. This powerful symbol combines water imagery and moon phases to reflect how we process feelings in the in-between moments of our emotional journeys.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hi there and welcome to the Cardcast.
I'm Natasha and I'm so gladyou're here.
Each day, I pull an Oracle cardand reflect on what it means in
the context of everyday life.
My hope is to help you usethese cards as simple tools for
awareness and grounding.
So take a deep breath, settlein and let's see what today's

(00:25):
card has to say.
Today's card is from theAlchemist's Oracle by Zoe Sadler
, and our card, specifically, isMermaid's Tears, and when we
look at the card, there is amermaid in a jar.
The jar is tear-shaped, themermaid herself appears to be

(00:46):
crying and she's holding an eggor a rock or something, and then
, on the top, the bottle stopperhas a moon on it Not a full
moon, but like a waxing or awaning moon.
And when I see this, a lot ofthings come to mind Mermaids and

(01:07):
water being such a big part ofour emotional lives, and being
able to bottle different things, whether they're really good
things that we want to kind ofbottle up for later, or things
that we want to bottle so we canhide them away, so that they
aren't out in the open and ableto impact us.

(01:27):
And water, over time, cansmooth down rough edges.
It can also, though, erodethings to a point where they're
no longer recognizable.
So I think that's reallyinteresting about this card.
And then the moon.
Obviously, we have the phasesof the moon, so you have a full

(01:49):
moon, and at the full moon, that's when things have kind of
come to fruition, and now you'reworking on letting things go,
versus a new moon where youdon't see the moon at all on
that night, and essentially,it's the opportunity to build so
you get to that next phase of afull moon and with this waxing
or waning moon on here.

(02:09):
It's kind of that in-betweenplace To me this really
represents.
Regardless of where you are onthe emotional side of whatever
journey you're on, this is anopportunity to acknowledge that
in any moment, we're going tohave a lot of feelings around
things, around how things aredone, around how things are

(02:32):
turning out or how we think theymight turn out, but that it's
not the end.
We haven't gotten to that fullmoon, we haven't gotten to that
new moon.
The water has not fully donewhatever it's going to do, the
smoothing or the eroding.
We're in this in-between place.
In this in-between place, we canabsolutely still find balance

(02:56):
and peace.
We just have to acknowledgewhere we are and what that can
mean for us.
In that moment.
It doesn't have to be thegreatest joy or the deepest
sadness it could also be thosethings but just acknowledge
where we are and that things aregoing to change.
It will continue to adapt, willcontinue to adapt.

(03:21):
We'll get more tools in our owntool belts and we'll be able to
then move into that next phase.
As you think about the symbolsthat I shared today, what comes
up for you?
That's it for today's card.
For more reflections and acloser look at the cards
themselves, you can find me onInstagram and YouTube at the

(03:43):
underscore card cast.
Until next time, take care, andI'll see you in the next
episode.
