Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hi there and welcome to the Cardcast.
I'm Natasha and I'm so gladyou're here.
Each day I pull an oracle cardand reflect on it as a tool for
awareness and grounding.
So take a deep breath, settlein and let's see what today's
card has to say.
Today we have an oracle cardfrom the Wild Woman Oracle and

(00:25):
we have Peace of the Goddess andit says inner peace at the
bottom of the card.
And on the card we have a womanwho's sitting on her bed in her
room and you can see she's gota cat in her lap and she's
journaling.
She's got a cup of tea and asnack.
Beside her there's some candleslit.

(00:47):
It truly is a whole vibe.
When I think about inner peaceand kind of what that means
there in this woman in this cardbeing in her room, when I think
about when I'm in my room orwhen I'm in a space that I
really love where I can reallyjust relax and be in that space
of peace, I think of sanctuaryand when I am in my sanctuary

(01:13):
space it really helps me toreconnect.
And she's journaling.
I love journaling.
But whether it's journaling orreading, praying, cuddling with
your pets, playing with yourpets, whatever those things are,
maybe even just some time tostop and stare right and kind of

(01:36):
not feel the need tonecessarily move about.
That's what helps to createthat sanctuary space.
So where do we do those things, where we can be fully at peace
in doing them?
But also, what does that?
How does that nourish us?
How does that nourish our souls?
If you will, I tend to have abrain that goes a billion miles

(02:00):
a minute and so when I alsothink about this inner peace,
this sanctuary, it helps to calma wobbly brain, an anxious mind
, because it's this opportunityto reconnect with yourself.
So in this card, there's no oneelse in this room with her.
She is just there, connectingwith herself.

(02:21):
Yes, she has a pet with her,but that's what's wonderful
about pets.
We let people into our lives, but we're safe to let pets into
our solitude.
They can help withoutreconnecting to ourselves.
Also, this element of grounding.
When we can really bereconnected to ourselves through

(02:41):
whatever sanctuary time thatyou need and that you take for
yourself, we can really groundourselves back in our day, back
in the moment.
And it's important to rememberthat this isn't a one and done.
I know I have to regroundmyself several times a day.
That doesn't necessarily meanthat I have time to go crawl

(03:05):
back into my bed and really cozydown and reground and recenter
and find that peace.
But it is this continuous actof I know how I want to show up
and I know how I want my brainto be operating, and when I
notice that and I have theopportunity to refuel myself in

(03:28):
those ways, I'm going to takethat.
There's this concept by JohnMaxwell where he talks about
these refueling stations andwhat it is is it's just
something small that takes 30seconds or up to 10 minutes for
you to do and you put a visualcue around you in places where

(03:50):
you could normally be stressedout, and the purpose is that
then you see it and you'rereminded to refuel yourself.
So a couple of examples that Ilike, that I use regularly, are
books.
There are studies have shownthat if you read for even just
five minutes, it can help tolower your stress by almost 70%.

(04:11):
I also have little, a lot ofmeditating statues and figurines
all over my home, all around mydesk, because it just reminds
me that just stop for a secondand take the deepest breath
you've taken all day.
Just take a minute to do that.
If I have a few minutes to dothat, I'll do that.

(04:32):
But also even just doing thatonce can help calm your nervous
system.
It helps bring you back to thatgrounded place, that inner
peace, so that you can thencontinue on in the way that you
want to and you don't letdifferent external things kind
of hijack your day as you thinkabout your day.

(04:55):
Where are the places where youcould reconnect with yourself,
either through that sanctuaryspace or in finding those little
practices that you can do tohelp refuel and reground
yourself?
That's it for today's card.
For more reflections and acloser look at the cards
themselves, you can find me onInstagram, tiktok and YouTube at

(05:21):

I'll see you in the nextepisode.
