Natasha (00:00):
Hi there and welcome to
the Cardcast.
I'm so glad you're here.
I'm Natasha and I'm here toshare a daily practice.
I love pulling an oracle cardand interpreting it through the
lens of my life.
My goal is to help you seeoracle cards as a tool for
noticing and anchoring in yourday.
So take a deep breath, pull upa chair and let's see what the
(00:25):
cards have to say.
Today's card is from theGuidance of the Goddess Oracle
by Annette Peirceau.
She is one of my favoriteartists and I was so thrilled
when she did a goddess deckbecause her goddess art is
phenomenal.
Today's card is Pele, whorepresents potential, and on
(00:48):
this card we have a reallybeautiful image of Pele.
Her body, from like her waistdown, is a volcano that is
essentially erupting, and thenher hair and the top part of her
clothes, if you will, are madeup of the smoke that comes out
of that volcano.
So, if anyone doesn't know, pele is the Hawaiian goddess of
(01:12):
fire, lightning and dance.
She's very representative ofcreativity and curiosity and
passion and, and like the carditself says, potential.
So when we think about thesethings that we want to do or the
places we know we want to go,that potential or the potential
(01:34):
of a project.
We want to embark on it becausewe feel this fire right, we
feel this passion for wanting todo this thing.
And that's really where themagic of a goddess like Pele
comes into play, where shereally helps you.
She kind of like erupts intoyour life so that you can see,
(01:57):
like, is this something I'mreally passionate about?
Is this something I'm reallyinterested in and really want to
do?
I know, for me, when there's aproject that I am excited about,
it really does consume me.
I know I've said that before, but it consumes my thoughts in a
way where I'm like I ha, I haveto get it out of me and either
(02:21):
onto an audio medium, onto thepage, onto something, but I have
to bring it forward and so thatfire that we feel about
something just it's so powerful.
And so, with Peli kind ofshowing us that potential, she's
stoking those fires to makesure that you take action on
(02:44):
that thing.
This doesn't just have to be forcreative pursuits.
This can also be for it can befor anything really, but it can
be for a cause that you hearabout and you feel outraged that
that thing is happening.
Or there's this policy in theworkplace where you're like that
(03:04):
doesn't seem like it benefitsthe most people.
I want to learn more about that.
I want to do something about it.
So, with Pele, it's not alsojust about this eruption of
emotion and of force towardssomething.
It's really about the what arethese pieces?
(03:25):
Right, if we think about how avolcano, before it explodes,
there's a lot of movementhappening before it can actually
erupt, and so keep in mind thatwhen there is that potential,
when there is that passion, likewhat are these?
What is the movement?
That kind of needs to happen sothat when this volcano erupts,
(03:46):
it is epic in all of the rightways.
Not in the ways where it'scareer damaging, right, or cause
damaging or relationshipdamaging, but in the ways where
it is memorable and it isexciting and people look at it
or they experience it with thiskind of state of wonder, like
(04:10):
just how did this happen?
This is incredible when I talkabout the different symbols here
, right, this volcano, thispassionate goddess who kind of
points us towards our curiosityand our potential.
What comes to mind for you?
That's all for today's card.
(04:31):
