Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hi there and welcome
to the Cardcast.
I'm Natasha and I'm so gladyou're here.
Each day I pull an oracle cardand reflect on what it means in
the context of everyday life.
My hope is to help you usethese cards as simple tools for
awareness and grounding.
So take a deep breath, settlein and let's see what today's
(00:26):
card has to say.
Today I'm using an oracle cardfrom the Sacred Rebels oracle
deck and our card is TrustYourself, and on it we have a
figure who is surrounded like wejust see her head and she is
surrounded by.
Surrounded like we just see herhead and she is surrounded by
(00:48):
animals.
They're all very close aroundher head, almost like a crown of
animals, and there are lizardsand butterflies.
I see a sloth, a monkey, aniguana, a snake, there are birds
, so all different types ofanimals surrounding her, and she
is looking up and out like tothe future.
The first thing that comes tomind when I think about animals,
(01:09):
I always think about just thewisdom that they have.
Their lives are simple, in thesense of they know what they're
here to do.
They do that thing.
It makes sense, it's verynatural.
So there's this element ofwisdom and it being around the
top part of her head is reallyindicating that you are wise
(01:29):
With all the different types ofanimals.
Also, it makes me think ofgrowth.
All these different animalshave, of course, different type
growth cycles, but we're alwaysgrowing when we learn about
(01:58):
different things, whether it'sabout different animals or
different ways to haveconversations or different ways
to engage in our relationshipsor even different ways to build
something.
Anytime we're learning theseother things, we're growing
trust in ourselves, that kind ofsimilar to how she has all the
animals around her head.
That knowledge is around us andwithin us and we'll be able to
find it.
So we can trust that if wedon't know something in the
moment, we'll be able to findthe answer.
We can find most of the answers.
(02:18):
It might take us a little bitlonger than we were hoping, or
that we thought little bitlonger than we were hoping or
that we thought, but you cantrust in yourself to find those
answers, as we're learning totrust ourselves again, or for
the first time, or just theongoing journey that is life
(02:38):
with this ecosystem of animals.
We have to remember that thesethings are an ecosystem, with
that there are a lot ofdifferent pieces that we keep in
play in our lives or that arein play in our lives that are
helping us to maintain stabilityand balance, to move forward,
(03:00):
whether those are internal toolsthat we use or they're external
tools that we leverage.
It's all an ecosystem andsimilar to the animal kingdom.
When things change, it can causeother things to be out of
balance.
So this is where I think thetrust in yourself thing is
(03:21):
really interesting, because weall experience change and we all
experience instability, andwhen we do, our initial response
is to try to control things andget them back to how they were
right, regain that homeostasis, when in reality, things are
(03:41):
unstable or they're changing, because the world is changing,
our environment is changing,we're changing.
So, instead of trying to graspall these things and get back to
homeostasis, instead we shouldwork towards getting to that
evolution which is calledallostasis, and that is, yes,
we're back in balance.
Yes, we're back in, but not thesame one that we were before
(04:05):
the change and the instabilityoccurred.
That's part of that wisdom andthat being able to grow and
think and evolve in new anddifferent ways we get to these
new places of now.
This is what balance looks like.
I think this is alsointeresting because this card
brings up that that will alwaysbe an evolution.
(04:28):
What was stabilizing andbalancing for someone when you
were younger?
Right, when you were a kid?
Different than college, different than being in the
workforce, different than beingin a relationship?
So it's a constant evolutionand something that we just need
to be aware of and revisit so wedon't get things thrown too far
(04:50):
out of whack, we're able toleverage our tools and get back
into that balance and then, ifwe can't get back to that
balance, do that internal andexternal work to get to that
next stage of allostasis.
I'm going to invite you now tothink about all the things that
you have come through, how youhave evolved.
(05:12):
When you've been in a place ofwhat you thought was stability
or was stability at the time youhad to change, and just think
about those different times.
I'm confident that most peoplehave several that they can call
upon and you don't need to divetoo deep unless you want to, but
really to consider, when thenext thing comes up, whether
(05:34):
that next thing is directly infront of you or it's a little
bit ahead of you.
You already have a lot ofexperience with evolving and
changing and being in ambiguity,so you can, in fact, trust
yourself that you're going to beable to navigate this next one.
(05:54):
That's it for today's card.
For more reflections and acloser look at the cards
themselves, you can find me onInstagram, tiktok and YouTube at
the underscore card cast.
I'll see you in the nextepisode.
