My guest this week is Lou Vickery, over his 80+ years on this planet Lou has had 5 distinct careers and has no intention of stopping. We have a very entertaining conversation that covers resilience, lessons learned from baseball, what it takes to change careers so many times, and the all important skill of "forgetory".

Lou's journey is amazing and started at a young age, after graduating from high school, he signed a professional baseball contract with the St. Louis Cardinals. Over a ten-year career, Lou also played for the New York Yankees organization, alongside greats like Mickey Mantle, and coached in the Cincinnati Reds organization.

Lou went back to school at 28 and received his B.S. degree from Troy State University (AL). Lou moved into the training and development field with Pat Ryan and Associates of Chicago, Ill. in l974. After 1980, he did contract training for numerous national organizations and over a thirty (30) year period worked with over 2,800 companies in 44 states and two foreign countries. Lou has spoken in every city in the USA with a population of over 150,000 people.

Lou followed up his training career by hosting a nationally syndicated radio show "Lou in the morning" for the next 17 years. All the while he's been churning out books his entire life.  As a self published author of over 21 books and counting Lou continues to share his wisdom, life lessons, and stories with everyone he comes into contact with.

I highly recommend picking up Lou's book "Winning the Head Game" and stay tuned for his newest book "Hello,Let's Talk" which can be found at his website:

I hope that you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed it.
