The long off-season is over. The Carolina Hurricanes are back, and so are we. Some familiar faces are gone from last season and a few key new additions have arrived.
This preseason started against Tampa Bay, at home, with Taylor Hall and the kids getting a look against the Lightning. Canes new third goalie Primeau was in net in Raleigh.

The Hurricanes faced a familiar foe, the Devils, on Easter Sunday. Jalen Chatfield scored early, and Logan Stankoven scored twice after that. Andersen started and played well.

The Canes rested seven players, including Aho, Slavin, Jarvis, and Staal. Montreal was in need on just one point to make the playoffs. Carolina played well, but never had the lead, and ultimately lost 4-2.

The Hurricanes took the ice at home for the last time this regular season. It was a defensive game. I don't think anybody got hurt, and that's a good thing. The team finishes the season 31-9-1 on home ice.

It was a great effort vs. a Rangers team on the ropes needing a win to avoid playoff elimination. From the jump the Canes set the tone and would go up 3-0 before NY scored. The top line was excellent. Carrier returned from injury. Chatfield and Martinook had goals.
