Dr. Charlene Wrighton is the co-founder, co-author, and CEO of Zoo-phonics (and its schools), a mnemonic and multi-sensory language arts curriculum that’s been helping young minds learn since the early 1980’s. In this episode, Jake sits down with Dr. Charlene and her daughter, Katie Pack, who is the Head Director and Business Manager for both Safari Learning Academy and the Zoo-phonics Learning Academy.
A variety of topics were discussed; from early education, children’s needs, why movement is necessary while children learn, how memory is affected chemically by movement and exercise; and how the Zoo-phonics methodology and curriculum (and great teachers) ensure an outstanding education for growing minds.
