Welcome to the Chainsaw Bar (The Horror Podcast)
Well it's been a hot minute... month since our last upload.
The Spooky season is creeping up on us and the weather definitely is changing here in the mountains of Western North Carolina. This was recorded in July and on my birthday, so it was emotional, well not really. We talked about the loss of Shelley Duvall and her legacy. We covered some movie reviews; Geno was with us in the beginning but had to get ready for bed, and in the end it definitely delved waay too deep into Yacht Rock Territory.
So here's the Lowdown to the best of my editing knowledge.
3:15 Show actually begins
11:30 Shelley Duvall Talk starts
27'ish Dr Giggles gets our review talk
32 Crimes of the Future review gets started
40 We discuss - The Number 23 movie, which slides over to Troll the one with Julie.
55 We talk about the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians legalizing Mary Jane on the reservation, Sept. 7 2024 actual day.
Around the hour mark we start talking about Band and music. Which leads to us reviewing the two SiriusXM Yacht Rock stations and the music playing that hour. Then we talk about how some of these songs deserve a dedicated horror movie around them. Below for the sake of copyright strikes...
Hello - Lionel Richie, Use Me - Bill Withers, we only briefly hear Baker Street - Gerry Rafferty, before Maddy says hell no, We really enjoy Kool & The Gang - Celebration, Michael McDonald - Sweet Freedom (1986), we hear a little Al Stewart - Year of the Cat, i believe last song was Every Kinda People - Robert Palmer.
Note for legal reasons we have no legal rights any kind to these great songs we just reviewed and sang along to most of them.
That wraps this one up, we thank you for listening and Watch some Horror Movies before the Summer comes to a close. Thanks, Siriusxm for the sounds and enjoy my money. Cheers and Stay Spooky... Varrrooom!
