Daylight Podcast.
Dan and I are here right now.
Joe will be joining us shortly.
We have no idea if Jeremy'sgoing to make it or not.
He's handling some business.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
He is.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
He may be here, he may not be here, let's see.
There we go Makes it a littlebit easier for the viewing
public.
So, everybody, hey, thanks somuch for joining us.
We took last week off ChristmasEve.
For my family that's a bignight.
So we decided to take the weekoff.
Let everybody have fun withtheir families and give you all
a break from us.

(01:01):
And then Tuesday night we hadyou know it was New Year's Eve,
us, uh.
And then tuesday night we hadyou know it was new year's eve,
we.
We knew no one was gonna hangout and watch us blabber about
golf on new year's eve, especially in this town, uh, so,
uh, we took tuesday night off,but we're all anxious to get on
here and chat some more golf, uh.
And you can tell by two of thefour of us being here.

(01:22):
No, joe will be here in a few.
He's handling a few things.
So, happy new year to everybody.
I hope everybody had a safe andhappy new year.
I know there's been a lot ofcrazy shit going on right now in
the States.
What happened in New Orleanswas just ridiculously sad, and
then we had a cyber truck blowup at Trump Towers here.

(01:44):
More stuff coming out aboutthat.
Just crazy, crazy stories.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
No crazy times that yeah, um.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
But I mean it's funny like the cyber trucks are
getting like rave reviews nowbecause everyone's coming out
saying because of the thickermaterial and because of the
sturdiness of the truck, itdidn't do the damage that they
thought it was going to do.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
So um yeah, it's good it's kind of sad that that had
to get proven in that way, butthere's other ways to prove that
.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
But, uh, yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
I saw a thing today that that Elon Musk just shared,
and it was on Vegas issues.
It said that the cyber truckwas voted the worst terrorist
bombing vehicle of 2025.
So people are having fun withit, but I mean not to make light
of a sad situation.
Crazy stuff going on and it'swild that both those vehicles

(02:42):
were rented through that Torosite.
It was like a VBR or vrbo orairbnb for vehicles yeah, um so
who knows, maybe there's goingto be some regulations coming
down on that.
Anyways, wild, wild times goingon, but the good thing is, golf
is back.
The pga tour is back.
Capaloo has started.
This afternoon.

(03:02):
Harry's off to a good start.
I was just chatting with him afew minutes ago because I was
asking him if he still hadcallaway full bag, and he's
playing ping woods right now.
So he's got ping woods and thencallaway, everything else and
he's got a new golf ball he'splaying, so uh had a 500 around,
he shot six, six under on thefront, had a bogey on the back

(03:23):
and then part out.
So good start to the day forthe tourney for him.
Uh, there's all kinds of newsabout, you know, max homa is now
cobra max and uh, in lulu lemon.
That that's like been the bignews, because there really
hasn't been any like crazy newsout there as far as equipment
changes or anything like that.

(03:44):
I sent stephen jackson a hahafunny message because uh, adam
scott was playing his old labputter, not the new oz, so that
that was a short-livedexperiment.
I thought for sure he was goingto keep gaming that thing,
especially since it's, you know, kind of named after him yeah so
that that was a surprise.

(04:06):
Um, and then let's see what elsewe got.
Uh, you were out of shell shorewith jeremy.
We'll talk about that.
We all got together.
I got my first round back aftermy time off for the knee
surgery.
We were out at las vegasnationals we'll talk about that.
You're playing some new stickswe can talk about that.
Got revere coming up thisweekend.
Let's see what else did I have?

(04:26):
Oh, akshay Bhatia.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
He is now with Travis Matthews, so that's exciting
for them.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Nice, young, fresh face on tour for them, and there
really wasn't much other ohthere he is hey Joe.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Joe, it's different.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Hold hold on, give me a second.
This is why you come on earlyit worked out, are you okay?
I?

Speaker 2 (05:02):
think so.
I just I just heard you from mylaptop speakers.
Ah, okay, the interface looks alittle different.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Femyard is going through some changes.
We pay a monthly subscriptionto use this service and they
added a bunch of new featuresover the last four or five
months and they're really nice.
And then they just came out andsaid hey, by the way, here's
your bill now if you want tokeep using all these new
features, and I was like no, wedon't.
So a couple of the couple of theextras that we have for this

(05:39):
will be going away, but I don'tthink it's going to affect
anything.
Uh, we just we're going to losea platform that we're allowed
to push to, I think, 10different platforms right now.
It's going to get reduced, sowe'll only be pushing this to
three.
And then I just found out wecould change the fonts on our
name and stuff, so that, uh, butthat will be going away as well
.
So that's the the times.

(06:02):
It keeps changing the hey,we'll tease you with some great
features.
And oh, by the way, now youhave to pay double what you were
.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
So it moves quick.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
New years, new fees so how you doing, joe, do you
have a good new year?

Speaker 2 (06:17):
yeah, we just hung out at home.
We didn't really do much, youknow.

fourth july times 10.
I couldn't believe how muchactivity was going on.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
I'll never understand that shit I'll never understand
.
Lighting your money on fire, Ijust I'll never get that.
I'll never understand what itis, Maybe like 80 bucks.
You know, throw a couple outthere, that's fine you know,
like tea time.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
you know, you go out to Paiute or you go out to
Pahrump, 80 bucks will get you alot of fireworks.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Well, I mean, that was a long time ago.
I don't know anymore, but yeah, get you a fucking pack of
firecrackers now.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Exactly.
Oh, barbers in the house, sup, ninjas, so you can chat and
choose.
The two man wrecking crew oh,joe's here now, so we're a three
man wrecking crew and Juju's inthe house?
Hey, and juju's in the house?
Hey, juju, that that was anawesome little event you have,
uh, in honor of your dad, socongrats on that.
That was.
That was awesome.
Yep, um, need to do that uphere one year.

(07:30):
Bring the family up here andwe'll do it birthday way.
Birthday way that's just a repin the green background there
for you.
Christmas is over, boys, changeup the colors, come on.
Christmas is over, boys, changeup the colors, come on.
You should do a.

Speaker 2 (07:46):

Speaker 1 (07:48):

So, joe, you're joining us thisweekend at Revere, yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
It's getting my chin-chin, you know.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
We'll do this, so it matches my shirt there we go
I'll be here before you know it100

Speaker 2 (08:11):
already seen the commercials.
Welcome friends 99 days hellofriends, hello friends.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Um, so, uh you, let's talk about National.
We can start with National.
It's been a couple weeks sincewe've been on.
I was happy to be back out onthe golf course after spending
three weeks basically at homejust chipping and putting and

(08:40):
slowly built up some swings withsome irons, and so I was
excited to get out of the golfcourse.
It was a little crisp earlymorning, national was looking
great and then Dylan happened.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
Then we met Dylan.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
I don't know if I have ever ever had an experience
like that with a starter in thehistory of my golfing life.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
No, I've met some dick starters, but you know.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Oh, they're everywhere.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
Yeah that was.
That was surprising andextremely uncalled for.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
And it fired me up right away dude, I was like
we're we're fighting on thefirst fucking hole of my me
coming back.
I really thought we were gonnago to blows with this kid he was
really jealous of your newknees, bro.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Like he saw that you got new knees and he was like
I'm not having it, my kneesknees hurt right now.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Well, clearly, he didn't, because he was like was
this your first time on a golfcourse?
Which, as soon as he said thatI was like I looked at dad.
I'm like, oh fuck.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
That was yeah, that was a yeah.
I couldn't believe he said that.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
I mean if you're a golfer.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
If you're a real golfer and you love the game of
golf and respect the game ofgolf, you could look at our four
bags and be like, okay, theseguys know what they're doing.
Like you can look at thecollective of that, you know
there's no ball pickers there'sno stock head covers.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
There's not, you know uh, yeah, uh, do you know what
I'm seeing a lot of and it'shilarious is, uh, the some
players who have a sunday bag onthe side of their cart bag that
has all their wedges in itbecause their bag is full of
woods.
Oh, I've seen it twice now.

(10:44):
It's, it's hilarious,interesting a little much hey I
don't have iron covers and bgcis in the in the instagram chat.
Uh yeah, we are short tonight.
Jeremy is enhancing his life.
He may be here in a littlewhile uh, but I don't have iron
covers.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
I don't really call that enhancing.
He's achieving his life.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
I would say it's enhancing his life every single
time he leaves his house.
Now he's gonna be like sothat's making his life better
he's achieving his dreams.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
He's fulfilling it's exactly he's fulfilling a.
Fulfilling a dream is a perfectway to put it.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
So happy for jeremy on that and that aspect yeah, uh
well, I don't have iron covers,but if I did, I wouldn't care.
Who cares?
Who cares about iron covers?
Give, give those people a break.
Good lord, who gives a rat'sass?
If you want to cover your irons, people may look at you funny,
but you know what.
Who gives?
A shit cover your irons if youwant.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
To get the little ones with zippers and tassels if
you want my thought is if youwant to cover your irons, just
beat the other fuckers that areplaying again with you I mean
they can't say shit if if youwhip them, you know.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
If you want to do it, just be good so, joe, as joe
was saying, you could tell bylooking at us that we were not
your your Saturday weekend hackgolfers coming in from another
state on a drunk bender, gettingan early morning tea time,
still inebriated.
No we.
We came to play and just he.

(12:19):
He was in a bad mood, I guess,I don't know, Maybe his coffee
got spilled or what I don't know.
I've never seen anything likethat before in my life to fill
everybody in.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
Basically, what happened was is nobody checked
in with the starter, who wasdylan, and uh, dylan was curious
who was up next on the t.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
None of none of us checked in which by the way, we
we were 15 feet away on the playzone and we play there many
times and it's always the olddude with the.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
You know he asks everybody that steps on the
range can I get your ticket?
You know he's right there.
And then you know, if you arecurious, if anyone's here, he't
have a radio whatever.
And you see four guys thathaven't checked in.
Maybe you should just ask themhey, what time are you guys
playing?
Can I get your ticket?

(13:12):
You know it's not our fault andyou know we're used to the old
guy that's been there for thepast five years there was four
people on the range.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
You know, there was us on the practice green and
four people on the range.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
So uh, yeah, it just must be an introvert.
You know he doesn't want totalk to people.
And then it just, it justcollapsed in front of his eyes,
you know it was.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
It was.
I mean, it was shocking because, because you know, I, I, he
kind of got snippy, you know.
And then so I got a littlesnippy back and I said, well,
you know, maybe get off your assand go find out who's coming up
next, and that fired him backand it just kind of escalated
from there.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
I was going to send the guys behind you in front of
you.
Yeah Well, you see four guys.
This is the thing in my head.
You see four guys that haven'tchecked in yet.
This is the thing in my head.
You see four guys that haven'tchecked in yet.
If you're curious, who's comingup next?
Once you go, ask those guyswhat their tea time is, or I
mean, I mean a starter's job is.
There's no story.
It's very difficult, you know.

(14:17):
It's a very tough job, which Iunderstand.
You know it's.
It's hard to put people in keep, keep the pace all day.
It's a difficult job and he wasvery stressed, which I
understand.
I feel for him.
It's a difficult job.
Somebody has to do it.
Thankfully, it's Dylan and, uh,he just didn't want to talk to
us, you know, cause he knew howgood we are at golf and how cool

(14:38):
we are, and that's his fault.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
Yep, that's totally his fault.
It was, it was terrible, anyways, but we uh we shout out,
dylan, yeah shout out dylan.
Uh, I was like, by the thirdhole, the third hole.
I was like, okay, heart rate'sback to normal, let's get into
this round.
So it was, it was, uh, it was areally weird start, really

(15:06):
weird but, on on.
On the other hand, national wasin great shape.
The greens were fast, reallyfast, which which made it a very
fun, challenging golf course, because a lot of times they're
the greens roll good, butthey're slow more often than not
.
Not like crazy slow, but slow, slow enough to where you go.

(15:30):
Fuck, these are slow, but theywere not.
They were not this past lastweekend.
So hang on, I got to read whatyou just said.
Typically retired old dudeslive the best life you can enjoy
.
Yeah exactly Exactly.
It's a beautiful morning,beautiful day, beautiful golf

(15:50):
course, just kind of, you know, enjoy it.
But once we got rolling, everybody's having a good time
and I shot an 82.
I was really happy with my game.
Putted lights out.
I was really happy with my gameuh, putted lights out.
I was really happy about that.
I could tell that I've beenworking on the putting.
Uh stroke is doing good.

(16:11):
The new Odyssey putter is doinggreat.
Um, irons, I.
I hit my irons incrediblystraight.
I just didn't have the rightdistance on them all day long.
That bothered me and the driverwas.
I have the right distance onthem all day long.
That bothered me and the driverwas.
I knew the driver was going tobe a little bit of an issue
because I hadn't swung a driverin three weeks and really didn't
know what was going to happen.

(16:33):
So, but other than that, had agreat time.
I think we had a blast.
We still made it around in 340um, even with some slow people
in front of us and the dylandebacle, uh.
So I I hope those greens staylike that for a little while.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
So, dan, that was the best.
That was the best I've ever, Ithink I've ever seen national,
like seriously, like I lovenational because the layout's
great and I just it's just Idon't know.
I just love that course.
The surrounding areas, you know, obviously it's not that great.
The house is kind of old anddated and some of them are a
little, you know, abandoned, butit's scary.

(17:15):
That's neither here nor there, but uh, the golf course itself
has always been fun.
I've always enjoyed it and thisis this is by far the best I've
ever seen it played and it was,uh, it was fun.
The greens were fast, they wereactually rolling smooth.
Um, you know, usually they'reslow, bumpy, a little scabby.
They are in great shape.

(17:35):
Um, they're all cut in onelength, which is nice, but uh,
yeah, I was pleasantly surprised.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
So, yeah, it was got to get back out there soon, we
would have lost Natty Bingo.
Didn't see any part or anynatives in the ditch.
Yeah, that was.
That was a little surprising.
The actual the creek was prettyclean.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
Yeah, no appliances.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
There was no funk.
We did get some police sirenshad some dogs A couple- dogs.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
yeah, no fraternity sightings.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
No, fraternity sightings no.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
No.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
Nobody sleeping on the side of the green.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
We did get someone that flew the green on number
two into number 16 or 17, thoughthat did happen.
I haven't seen that one before.
Remember that?
Which?
On what hole?
When we were approaching a hole?
17, you don't.
You don't remember that oh yeah, that's right.
That's right, that's the firsttime I've actually seen that I'm

(18:44):
having trouble remembering whathe's talking about.
So number you.
You know what hole I'm talkingabout 16, right, yeah where I
hit that fucking nasty ass upand downer out the bunker, you
know shut up our slides and thenif someone hit a tree or
something, and that's number two.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
That's right, that was from right, that was from
three t-box that's right, Ithink it's more, I think it's
more.
Number two, I think it's, Ithink no, no, no, because right
across the street is the green.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
That is three great I'll say that it's two or three
it's three.
It's two or three becausebecause the creek is right after
the creek crosses.
You hit over the creek ontothree and the creek is in front
of yeah, do you know the gps inwhich way the creek goes?
Maybe it goes back up to thevalley?

(19:35):
No, it's right on the otherside.
It's in that area yeah, it wassomebody somebody hit a t-shot
on three that landed near the 17t-box.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
It hit the trees that's right.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
I've not seen that before I mean that's the free
space, because you don't see itvery often.
Yeah, yeah, that was.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
We all were like where the hell did that come
from?

Speaker 3 (20:08):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
Oh, this is funny.
Rob had this.
There's no ball sacks on golfbags.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
Yeah, that was yes, he's calling out Sean Wood out
there.
Yeah, that's how you knowyou're.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
No, not sacks on a golf bag.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
Don't get in confrontations with these guys
because they don't have ballsack on their golf bags.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
They're golfers uh, miles in the chat.
Yeah, we were talking abouttesla's at trump.
Crazy shit going on, man, crazyshit going on.
Hey, barbara.
Uh, what events are on sundays?
I may be able to play those.
I will send you a message.
Actually, if you go to the vgand website, the schedule is on
there and you can see all thesundays.
We're split saturdays andsundays, so it's, I think, seven

(20:53):
saturday events and six sundayevents hey, shout out the homie
fat eric.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
I haven't seen you in a long time.
Love you dude.
He's uh tuning in on ig.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
That's the home welcome, welcome welcome fat
eric ph with a ph okay, that'seric uh, he's around the corner
from my mom.
He's the homie right, so thatthat'll wrap up some some
national chat.
Okay, so let me know what didyou guys think about how I

(21:25):
played with the new knees?

Speaker 2 (21:27):
curious just fucking juicy bro, oil synthetic, uh
lard like what, what, what, what, what?
Yeah, I'm just thinking of likethinking about like things that
require a pan to be non-stick,like some Crisco Some avocado

(21:51):
spray oil.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Yeah, avocado Olive oil.
Crisco Butter Baby oil.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Diddy oil.
Matt stopped at Costco on hisway and just picked up Diddy oil
.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
Matt stopped at Costco on his way and just
picked up all the baby oil, slapped it on.
He's got like a little thingthat injects it in the knees.
He's smoothie.
He's a Jamba.
He's Jamba juicing.
He is Zuka juicing.
He is Planet Smoothie.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
You know it was nice to be able to play some golf
he's tropical, bro.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
He's tropical, he's just smoothying it up, yep rob
just sent me a picture of the.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
Uh, there, it is right there oh, so but no, you
can still overshoot.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
You can still overshoot number two there.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
But if you're that close, that's a 200-yard shot.
You're not hitting a 200-yardshot from 15 yards in front of
the green.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
Okay.
So someone hooked it so hard ona par three from 170 that it
came over there.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
I don't know.
I think someone caught a goodone.
They're like I'm never going tocatch this good.
I'm never with those guys onthe green and then it hit the
street on number two.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
It had to cover the street.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
It had to cover the street it's impressive.
It's impressive.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
What do you think is more likely, Dan?
I'm curious.
Someone duck hooked it 70 yards.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
The back tees were playing 225 that day, so the up
tees were playing 200.
So somebody hit driver.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
Yeah, one of the old guys I don't know, man, I mean
it can it could it could haveeasily happen both ways.
Yeah, there's so many badgolfers out there, but on this
one, if I had to choose andremembering I'm gonna I think
I'm gonna lean towards matt'sscenario fucking asshole.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
You get the, you get the worst.
You get the closet in SouthCarolina next week.
Well, I'm just in my dreams, dog Get the twin bed.
It's going to be cold.
You get the futon on the porch.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
Oh, that's so funny.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
Yeah, it's going to suck.
You're just going to have toeat an oyster.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
You have to eat an oyster?
Fuck no, I'm eating a loogie.
It kind of is.
I have to eat an oyster Fuck no, I'm eating a loogie.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
It kind of is, I know it's disgusting, a salty one,
all right, so let's move on.
Dan Jeremy's not here to talkabout it, but you got to
experience the Club at SouthShore, or South Shore.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
Coffee.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
Club, or whatever it's called now.
This was one that you hadn'tplayed yet.
You only got a couple moreconestoga and laughlin ranch.
That's it.
So uh, oh and oh, you haven'tplayed win.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
Yeah, I haven't played win yet either oh, I
didn't know that one.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
All right, so a few to knock out, but it was awesome
.

Speaker 3 (24:51):
Um, the greens were fantastic.
They were in really good shape.
They were a little bit firm, um, but you could hit like you can
hit wedges and still spin them, but like they some of them you
got that first firm uh, firstkick Uh.
So they were a little tough, alittle tough to judge there, but
they were great to put on.
Um played with uh Jeremy, likeI said, uh Steve and uh one and

(25:16):
one of Steve's friends, tomSteve, hooked that up.
So it was fun to get out thereand I love it.
I think the course is great.
I think it's got it reminds mea little bit of Cascada, kind of
how it's cut into the mountainsa little bit, and it's
definitely got some ReflectionBay vibes too.
You can tell the Nicholas touchon those courses, but it was

(25:41):
awesome.
I definitely like it betterthan Reflection and it's
probably I'm going to go topthree, maybe top four, I think
private courses I've played herein town.
I'll put it in the top three.
Top four, I think.
Private courses I played herein town.
I'll put it in the top three.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
Pop top four, for sure so it came it came in at
number eight on our rankingsthis last year and that was
without dan's vote, so that yourvote may bump it up to, you
know, six or seven so yeah, itwas nice.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
I mean, um, you know, I'd love to see it when it's in
its prime shape.
You know, right now it's alittle dormant, um, a lot, but
um, yeah, a lot dormant, but umit was, it's your.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
What was your favorite?

Speaker 3 (26:26):
part three the good question.
You know what I really like?
That long one.
What was that?
17, 16 yes, over the back ohyeah, I mean it's got the
waterfall on the left.
That was just really.
That's just a hundred foot palmtrees yeah, no, that was just a

(26:48):
really cool hole.
Uh, just visually off the teeit was beautiful, um, the shape
of the green from the tee wasawesome.
It, like you could totally tellit, fit the contour of the hill
, um, and it also, you know, happened to hit a nice good shot
in there.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
It's about 10 feet, so uh favorite hole, favorite
holes probably something is that10 trying to think par 5 on the
first, par five on the back, 11or the one that goes into the
water, yeah, yeah yeah, high upand they go down.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
Yeah, such a good love that hole.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
That's a great hole.
Yeah, that's a beautiful hole,it's a great t shot.
And then the second, theapproach shot and, as you can
see, like the uh green go intothe water.
It was, yeah, it was prettyawesome.
Yeah, that was a great hole,it's a great course great course
.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
Yeah, it really is.
Use it's uh, it's great.
I love how you can see all lakelas vegas, especially when you
get up on 17 and 18.
Any, any, uh bighorn, becausethe bighorn are always no 17 or
18?
No, oh, that's surprising no,no, bighorn.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
I was kind of bummed too, because you know I'm
usually oh, barbara's chiming in.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
How about my first two holes?
What happened?

Speaker 3 (28:00):
oh yeah, barbara hits um.
He kind of hit a little spinnerdrive off off the first tee and
then laces this three wood withlike a 10 yard draw to like six
feet on one damn and drains theputt downhill, downhill, little
drippy, drains that right in,starts off eagle uh, next hole.

(28:25):
I kind of forget the ongoingsof his shots but I'm pretty sure
he ended up walking off thatgreen with a triple.
So he had some highs and lowsbut ultimately he played,
actually played pretty well.
He made like.
He made like three or four morebirdies, I think, um that round
.
So yeah, steve, steve played, everybody played great.

(28:45):
Jeremy was like two under, Ithink, on the back nine, going
into 17 or 18, I don't.
I don't remember how hefinished but um, yeah, everybody
played, played pretty well Ican look and see if he posted.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
Jeremy post good scores, so he's a little bit
like joe doesn't post all thescores just the good ones, just
the one.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
I don't even know what I shoot half the time.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
So that is true, let's see.
Let's see if mr martin postedhis score.
No, he did not, did not, so sogolfing so?

Speaker 2 (29:27):
golfing.
Let's go, all you plus.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
Golfers, it don't matter none of you do plus
triple from 52 yards in themiddle of the fairway.
Been there, done that.
Is that what?
It was from 52 oh, that's right, that's right hole is because
those bunkers, the bunkers.

Speaker 3 (29:50):
Yeah, that's right, I forgot that's right.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
He went from bunker to bunker a couple times it's
narrow that green is narrow andand yeah it's it's tough to keep
it on yeah, I would like to getback out there.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
It's been, it's been a few years.

Speaker 3 (30:05):
Jeremy had some struggles on that hole too.
Everybody did actually now thatI think about it, except for me
.
I got lucky and I was uh I havefrom the far left side of the
fairway and I was the only onehit the the green.
I had like a 20 foot putt butyeah, I think a couple of guys
were hitting those shots out ofthose fairways back and forth,
out of those bunkers.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
It's a good course, man.
It really is.
It was fun.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
Salty golfer chiming in on IG.
He's are you still doing thatcleanse?
Was that you that was doing the, the cleanse that you posted
about?

Speaker 2 (30:35):
I think that was you that, uh, I couldn't do that,
man, like that's brutal stuff, doing those cleanses I would
love, I would love to, I want to, but I did do the eat app only
apples for three days long.
Me and katie did it years andyears ago.
But uh, yeah, that, uh, itworked well, yeah, because

(30:58):
you're only eating apples.
Jesus christ so you get really, you get really good apples, man
, it's not that hard so, butwhat is it?

Speaker 3 (31:08):
what is it?
What does it do, joe?
What is it?
Flush?
Uh, making more regular becauseyou're getting the fiber, or
it's been so long there.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
There is a something green, did you do?

Speaker 1 (31:18):
fuji, was it honey crisp?
I mean, come on, let's get intothe honey crisp, right you?

Speaker 2 (31:22):
should you?
Probably?
Honey crisp is probably not theway to go because there's
they're sweet, there's a lot ofsugar in them.
But uh, I, I'm a honey crispfan.
Charge me, good, I'm guilty, you're good.
Honey crisp, best apple you canhave hands down, hell yeah
they're they.
They taste like honey andthey're crispy, hence the name.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
But I think rob's rob has summed this up beautifully
that sounds great, except foronly eating apples.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
Part yeah, so I did it for three days.
I lost like 12 pounds in threedays doing that.
I can't remember the lord theactive ingredient in them.
But um yeah, I've been wantingto do it.
I'm not doing it.
I like tacos as miles of sandyeah, eat a taco yeah, bean and
cheese, burrito, tacos, hey, anything, anything mexican, yeah

(32:09):
yeah, all right an enchiladaceviche whatever it is.
Let him go on his Yelp.
Jermaine Pablano Chilaquilesway.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
All right, Dan, you got a couple rounds in with the
new sticks.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
The new sticks are.
I love them, I'm loving them,I'm loving them.

Speaker 3 (32:34):
They feel really good , uh-oh.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
He's back.

Speaker 3 (32:38):
Uh-oh, uh-oh, paul Peters.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
Penis.
Oh dude, Are we on Facebookagain?

Speaker 1 (32:47):
Yeah, yeah, holy cow, I thought we got rid of that.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
No, we had some pretty good action going on Paul
, do Joe, do Joee paul and thenmatt, and then matt, and then go
back to matt and then do, joe, leave me out here, leave me
miles, miles said unbeknownst.
There were 3500 plus varietiesof american apples at one point

(33:13):
good lord yeah, we, and we getall the fake ones in the store
so does that mean, uh, 3,495 ofthem just sucked oh, don't open
up the can of worms all right.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
So you got a little combo set of the, the cbs and
mbs in the new apex, callawayapex.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
You're happy with them, love very happy with them,
very happy and uh the jaws, thejaws wedges.
You were hitting those fantasticI mean, yeah, darts out there.
Yeah, I kind of lost the dartsat South Shore I had a couple of
times or got victimized byzipping it off too far.

(34:03):
I forget what hole it was, butI had one.
I think it was like 118, 119 in.
I hit my 52.
Ball, lands my divot.
My ball mark on the green islike five feet six feet from the
pin, but my ball is about 15yards short of the green.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
Good lord yeah I don't know zippy it.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
It's probably came back 60 feet from where it
originally hit.
So, uh, yeah, so, yeah, yeah, that's right.
Barbara was there a coupletimes.
Yeah, I mean, I was real closeto the hole and right back,
right back towards the front ofthe green and uh, you know, it's
what that's been happening alot lately, yeah fresh grooves

(34:46):
and pro v1xs man.
So you know they're gonna dothat.
I might.
I'm honestly I'm thinking aboutswitching back to a regular
Pro-V just to reduce the wedgespin.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
Yeah, I was going to say or go left, dash or AVX or
something, just to.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
I like the performance of the left dash.
It's just a little too firm forchipping and putting.
For me it's like chipping arock a little bit, yeah.
So I'm hoping they improve thecover on that but can still keep
the performance for the futuremodels, cause I would definitely
consider making a switch.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Have you, have you tried to play the Wilson yet,
Dan?

Speaker 3 (35:25):
I've hit it just a few times, a handful of times
from Matt's, you know, bag andstuff like that, but I haven't,
I have yet to give it a try.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
I mean, you know we, matt loves to just throw, throw
it out there as.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
I know, but here's the thing the earth.
Here's the thing, though Jeremyswitched.
So when Jeremy switched, thattold me I'm like okay, this ball
is probably legit.
You know, I just haven't, Ihaven't really tried it yet.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Jeremy was like my Mount Everest apex.
You know I got Jeremy to switchto the Wilson.
It's like fuck all the rest ofyou, you don't care, Jeremy is
my billboard right here.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
That's big, that's massive, that's huge.
That's his platinum record onthe wall.
Uh-oh, very gordy Matt's, verygordy His girlfriend is probably
a cucumber.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
You know, Paul, you're kind of weak tonight.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
Cucumber Katie.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
You must not know me very well.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
How can Dan hot spin with spin?
I don't know you have to retypethat.
That may be a typo, yeah.
So, Joe, do you have any of the?

Speaker 2 (36:36):
Do I have a girlfriend that likes cucumbers?

Speaker 1 (36:38):
The X model left.
I know it's a yellow golf ball.
I don't know if Dan can play ayellow golf ball.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
I can't no.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
You can't?
Okay, don't bring him.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
No, I can't look down at that.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
Maybe I'll stop by Jeremy's house and grab a sleeve
for you so you can try themSaturday.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
No, I mean, you know, the thing is is they're less
expensive.
I tried the X model and didn'twork for me, which I was really
loving probing one X, like I wasplaying probing one X, so I was
playing the staff model X andthen I decided to give it

(37:18):
another shot and just go to thethe staff model, and I love them
.
I really do they're yeah, itwas.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
As soon as I found out the compression on it, I was
like, yeah, that's that's whyyou're not liking it.
It's a very firm golf ball,very, but it doesn't.
It doesn't feel firm.
The it.
It's 104 compression.
It's a very, very hard golfball but it has a good cover on
it, so it doesn't feel firm.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
I'd just be curious for Dan to play around with them
and see what he actually thinks.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
Me too.
I'll do it, I ain't scared.

Speaker 2 (37:51):
The God's honest truth.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
Pro staff distant ball circa 1999.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
I think we all need to get some fucking fun, fucking
some wound balls and just goplay some persimmons and play
that way.
Let's just do it, Robert throwsome rubber bands.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
Yeah, yeah, bring back the ballada Exactly.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
You hit a ballada ball, then you'll be really
pulling it off the green.

Speaker 3 (38:18):
Shit.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
Oh, ball will be lasting two holes, all right.
So Dan's new sticks are good.
Check.
We got Revere coming up thisweekend.
Dan Jeremy or Dan Joe, myselfand Cliff Cliff.
He's joining us, so that'll bea good time.
It'll be Clippy.
He's been playing a ton of golflately.
Uh, would you say top flightmagma, or was it magna magna, I

(38:45):
think magna magna sounds morefamiliar.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
Yeah, yeah, I used to play the top flight stratus
when that came out.
Oh, my goodness yeah, thestratus was a decent ball uh,
let's see.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
So pga tour.
Uh you guys watching capiloutoday, or were you working?
It came on late uh, I went.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
I went to work today and I was seeing the capilou
footage and I'm like it feelsearly for capilou, like I feel
like the year just started, Ifeel like I thought it was like
next week and they were justlike they're already.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
It's always first weekend, yeah, always first
weekend of January Just happened.

Speaker 2 (39:20):
New Year's was not a Wednesday, it was like an early
week.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
So yeah, no, Miles is coming out here for Super Bowl
weekend.

Speaker 2 (39:26):
As he does every year .
Yeah, oh every year.
Miles, but you know he's, youknow he's got his festivities.
We're, you know he's got hisfestivities we're gonna do a
taco tour talk to miles, so ifanybody wants in, on the taco
tour, we're gonna rent a partywagon and no, no, I don't, I
don't think so, but, um, yeah,it's it.
For me it's hard to get out on,uh, super bowl weekend, because

(39:49):
you know we work in the eventindustries.
Uh so, but yeah, miles will behere.
He's got a car.
We're gonna try and do a tacotour and uh, yeah, we're gonna
go eat tacos and hopefully playsome golf where haven't you
played miles that you want toplay?

Speaker 1 (40:06):
let's, let's make that happen, instead of dragging
you out to perrump, like we didlast time, or revere.
Let's uh go to a place you uhwant to play that you haven't.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
I will my miles joe, take care of it for you, joe I
think miles would probably bemore capable of taking care of
it than I would be, uh don'tsell yourself.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
You got a host, joe this is your town yeah, come on,
don't let people know you'rebroke.
I don't have MGM points.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
I don't have shit.

Speaker 3 (40:39):
He said fuck Shadow, I know Miles.

Speaker 2 (40:44):
Miles would probably rather play Paiute than Shadow.

Speaker 1 (40:47):
Who's played Paiute?

Speaker 2 (40:49):
But he'd probably rather play Paiute than Shadow.
I think he needs to get toCoyote Springs.
I know that's an hour away.
I don't think Miles is playing.
I can't remember.
We had a fantastic cafebreakfast spot, old school diner
style.
I would love to see Miles atCoyote Springs.

Speaker 1 (41:21):
Bingo P piute overshadow yeah miles is a trist
he is uh, but but miles ifshadow creek was 250 bucks, if
shadow creek was same price aspiute, yeah, then, then but yes,
he's for the most part, he'sright.

Speaker 2 (41:36):
Paiute over Shadow Creek.
I still think you wouldprobably choose Paiute.

Speaker 3 (41:40):
Paiute is the best.

Speaker 2 (41:43):
So that's the thing, though.
Shadow is Shadow, creek is sick, right, but it's fabricated.
Miles is a believer in truegolf and Paiute is actual true
golf.

Speaker 1 (41:58):
And it he died.
Goodness Well Coyote's kind offabricated a little bit.

Speaker 2 (42:07):
Coyote Springs.
Well, he hasn't played CoyoteSprings.
I'm talking about Paiute.

Speaker 1 (42:11):
I know I mean it is fabricated.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
I know, I understand that, but fucking Shadow is the
pinnacle of fabricated golf, Ithink Big Cedar Lodge would be
the pinnacle of fabricated golf.
Yeah, and who designed BuffaloRidge?
Tom Fazio.
Who designed Shadow Creek?
Tom Fazio.

Speaker 1 (42:30):
He's a fabricator.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
Exactly, and I think that's why Miles would choose
Bayou over it.
Because, yeah, maybe Pete Dyemoved some dirt out the way, but
he didn't fucking build fakewaterfalls in the middle of the
desert.

Speaker 3 (42:44):
Who designed Wolf Creek?

Speaker 2 (42:48):
I think the guy only did one.
I'd have to look it up.
That's fucking fabricated.

Speaker 3 (42:54):
That's very fabricated.

Speaker 1 (42:57):
Sunrise is true.

Speaker 2 (42:59):
I'd have to look it up, but I think the guy only did
one.
I think he might have helpedout on like nine, nine holes on
Falcon Ridge, If I remembercorrectly the back nine is the
same design.

Speaker 1 (43:09):
It's been a long time .

Speaker 2 (43:10):
So yeah, it's been a long time since I I've looked
into it, but wasn't it a Atarior Nintendo, somebody like that?

Speaker 1 (43:19):
I don't remember.

Speaker 3 (43:20):
Konami Gary.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
Gary who?

Speaker 3 (43:24):
Gary Panks.

Speaker 2 (43:27):
Gary who.

Speaker 3 (43:30):
Gary Panks.

Speaker 2 (43:35):
Who the hell's that Exactly he hasn't done?

Speaker 1 (43:37):
many he did Wolf Green.
We're good to go.

Speaker 3 (43:42):
Wolf probably goes to senior homes to pick up the
elderly.

Speaker 1 (43:44):
That's a little bit better than your last one.
You're still.

Speaker 3 (43:48):
There we go.
I like that one, that one'sgood Come on Paul, Let him have
it.

Speaker 2 (43:53):
We've been doing it.
Hey, one thing that.
We've been doing it, paul.
The one thing that Gary Panksmakes me think of is Jerry, pat,
hey, right, pete, pete.
Sorry, pat, right, sorry, Ihave had a few, but he designed
a fantastic course just south ofBirmingham, alabama Timberline

(44:14):
fantastic course.

Speaker 1 (44:16):
And if you've never played it go get there.

Speaker 2 (44:19):
That place was a blast.

Speaker 1 (44:22):
Timberline is sick and it's so under the, it's so
under the radar yeah, that's thefirst stretch of holes I've
never I've never heard anyonetalk about timberline just south
of birmingham, alabama hightide, high tide, uh, okay, so uh

(44:46):
, thoughts on Homa going toCobra.

Speaker 2 (44:51):
Interesting.
Yeah perfect word for it.
It's like Jeremy going tofucking Wilson golf balls.

Speaker 1 (45:00):
I was watching on X, a lot of people were like I've
never seen a player leavetitleist and do better.
They said, except for tiger.
But then he also had titleist, make him nike iron, so blah,
blah, blah, blah.
Uh, but it had me thinking that, can you guys?
I'm not that I can't recallthat many titleist players that

(45:21):
left that stand out, but it wasa surprise.
I thought I figured he was aTitleist lifer.
He just seemed like a guy thatwas going to rock Titleist the
rest of his life.

Speaker 2 (45:37):
He seems like he fits Titleist.

Speaker 1 (45:39):
Yeah, Good golfer humble, not a big braggadocious
type of guy.
Let's his game do his talking.
But yeah, the game didn't talkmuch last year.

Speaker 2 (45:52):
I don't know, Maybe, maybe they promised him that
they would like develop for him,or you know, he I mean he
wasn't the highest player ontitle list, I don't know.
It's it's a very interestingmove, so we'll see.
He also went to Lululemon, which they do make great clothes
.
So left Travis Matthew.

Speaker 1 (46:11):
Great call of shorts.

Speaker 3 (46:14):
Maybe Cobra said you know what, Now that Lexi's
retiring, why don't you come onover and we'll give you her
money too?

Speaker 1 (46:19):
We'll give you the Lexi money.

Speaker 3 (46:24):
Joe looks like Frodo Baggins' grandmother.
Is this guy real?

Speaker 2 (46:29):
Okay, get Matt.
Get Matt now.
You sucked on me, so go getMatt.
You sucked on me, you sucked onme Careful.

Speaker 1 (46:39):
Joe.

Speaker 2 (46:40):
Careful Joe.
Good lord man, you didn't dovery well, yeah, you didn't do
very well.

Speaker 1 (46:46):
Go get Matt now, as long as he doesn't wear Malbon.
Yeah, ooh, ouch, ouch, ouch whosaid that.

Speaker 2 (46:55):
Oh yeah, I mean and if everybody knows Malbon for me
I'm not a big fan I did get.
So Katie got me the Air Forceor Air Max 1 shoes,
collaboration with Eastside Golf, those shoes for Christmas.

(47:16):
Have you guys seen those Mm-mm?
And it's hard for me to go backto Nike because I've been in
true for so long, like it's myeveryday, it's my work shoe,
it's my casual shoes, my golfshoe.
Like they run the gambit, youknow, like that's what I wear.
They're all white.

(47:37):
Don't really enjoy all whiteshoes.
Yeah, I held them and I waslike these are clunky, I'm
getting old is basically what Ifigured out when I took those
out the box.

Speaker 1 (47:51):
They're getting clunky.

Speaker 2 (47:53):
I'm getting old.

Speaker 1 (47:55):
It's all downhill from here, man it's 23 days away
.
I'll have my 40 year old talkwith you, like I did with the
other guys.

Speaker 3 (48:02):
Yeah welcome to the club, joe, yeah yeah, it's only
downhill from here, brother yep, someone's gonna fucking down
the spiral from here.

Speaker 2 (48:14):
Who's been coming?
Maybe, maybe I'm not gonna gothere.

Speaker 1 (48:19):
Actually I should stop uh, rob say, didn't adam
scott leave tyler's years backand had a good stretch after the
switch?
He's been playing his ownbranded irons from Mira isn't he
?

Speaker 3 (48:33):
those AS yes, those are Mira irons, but no, I think
he's right.

Speaker 1 (48:38):
I think, yeah, he may be the.
He may be the only one that Ican think of.
This is a can of worms.

Speaker 3 (48:45):
Swing with that shot.

Speaker 2 (48:47):
Anything saw it.

Speaker 1 (48:49):
Yeah, I saw it.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
What are?

Speaker 1 (48:51):
your thoughts on the band and lottery.

Speaker 2 (48:57):
I don't know exactly how it works.
It's going to take a cycle ortwo for the feedback to come
back to say if it's good or bad.

Speaker 1 (49:03):
I don't know exactly how it works.
It's going to take a cycle ortwo for the feedback to come
back to say if it's good or bad.
I don't know.
I mean, I was upset at Bandonwhen they got rid of Grandfather
and people in for the Solstice, but I understood why they
wanted more people to be able toexperience it.
So I get it.
It makes sense.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
So maybe they're at a point now where they're like
dude, we're selling out to thesame people every year.

Speaker 2 (49:36):
Let's try to open this up to people who want to
come here that haven't been ableto.
Yeah, I mean, I've never beenable to go it was grandfather
situation.

Speaker 1 (49:40):
So yeah, I got to do that, you know yeah, I mean we
got, we got lucky that time, youknow, because I mean it's sold
out in 10 minutes.
Yeah, for that one, we.
But then they raise the priceeven more and it's just like
good lord, you know, you, youhave these amazing events and
you get people hooked on themand then you go ha ha, gotcha,
yeah want to do it again psychthe thing for me is like it

(50:03):
really sucks, dude, because itis.

Speaker 2 (50:05):
It is like my, my favorite place I've ever been,
you know, and and matt was, uh,you know, greeted me and courted
me my first time there and it'sa.
It's a very special place and Iwould love just for everybody
to see it once, and maybe, ifthe lottery helps, that that's

(50:25):
awesome.
If it doesn't, that sucks.
Uh, we don't know how it'sgonna play out.
I just, uh, I want myopportunity to go back when I
want to go back.
So I think it's gonna take.
I think it's gonna take sometime until we see how it plays
out.
It's just crazy how it'sexploded and the lottery will

(50:46):
probably go away in like two orthree years because, you know
we're we're at a precipice forgolf.

Speaker 1 (50:51):
You know the bubble's about to burst man.

Speaker 2 (50:54):
This is as high as it's going to get.

Speaker 1 (50:55):
I mean, I don't think it can go much higher, you know
.

Speaker 2 (50:59):
So if people continue to play golf, that's fantastic,
but I think this is the spotwhere it's as high as it's going
to get.
The demand is as high as it'sgoing to go.
So I don't know.
I just want my opportunity tobe able to go back when I'm able
to go back.

(51:20):
So I don't know.
Like I said, I haven't learnedabout the lottery that much, but
it can be good, it can be bad.
We'll see what happens.
It's so new.
All I'm hoping is, with all theother places and destinations

(51:42):
being opened by dream golf, Imean, there's sand Valley,
there's rodeo dunes opening, there is a the spot ines opening
.
There is, uh, the spot inflorida opening.

Speaker 1 (51:47):
There's a spot in texas opening you know,
hopefully, with all these otherplaces coming up, the people
that have only been going totheir band and will like hey,
let's go now and open up somespots.
So, yeah, that that's what I'mhoping.
Citrus sucks Uh-oh, hoping thatthat will take place and we'll

(52:12):
see.

Speaker 2 (52:13):
Citrus is not Dream Golf, though I think right, if
you're talking about CitrusFarms.

Speaker 1 (52:18):
That's Cabot, Cabot.

Speaker 2 (52:21):
But yeah, I guess it is Dream Golf, but I don't know.
I think it's going to take sometime for these other locations
to build up their repertoire ofcourses.

Speaker 1 (52:32):
Yeah, I think it helps though, that knowing what
you get for your money at Bandonis now available in different
areas.
It's not going to nobody'sgoing to.
Anybody that's been to Bandonis not going to be blown away
with the experience at RodeoDunes or whatever the place
they're building in.

Speaker 2 (52:49):
Texas.
It's different.
It's just going to be adifferent environment, you know
so but that's those that reallyappreciate it, yeah.
Those that really appreciatethe golf course architecture are
going to fall in love withthese other places just as much.

Speaker 1 (53:04):
Yeah, architecture, are going to fall in love with
these other places just as much.

Speaker 2 (53:06):
The ones that love the ocean front are going to be
like oh, I got to go back toBandon because there's an ocean
there.
You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (53:13):
Yeah, it's just giving these courses an
opportunity to wow everybody ina different aspect of the game.
You know it's really hard tofuck up Bandon.
You could have had some notgreat golf architecture done
there and it still would havebeen pretty amazing.
Fortunately, we had someamazing golf architecture take

(53:36):
place there, so that even makesit even better.
But I don't think people areaware that that can happen
somewhere else.

Speaker 2 (53:49):
Miles said but why is Trails number one for so many
without the ocean?

Speaker 1 (53:55):
Because I think you have four courses there on the
ocean, or three on the ocean, that or no, there's four if you
count Mac and Trails isdifferent, it's just different.

Speaker 2 (54:10):
I don't know, I don't think it's the ocean.
I think Trails tells the beststory.

Speaker 1 (54:17):
Yeah, I've always said that you got the meandering
through the dunes you gothrough the meadows, you go out
in the mountains, come back intothe meadows and end on the
dunes.

Speaker 2 (54:25):
It's just trails is a great story.
It's a book, great story.
So I don't know.
I'm really, I'm really, really, really excited to see what
rodeo dunes becomes, becauseit's a, it's a day trip for us
in las vegas.
You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (54:41):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (54:44):
Sheep has more ocean than any and it's the worst, but
that's the most I mean.
Yes, I agree, but that's thegreat thing about Bandon is it's
created a story of whathappened there and you are free
to choose what you think is thebest.

(55:04):
Some think sheep is the best.

Speaker 1 (55:07):
I don't, but some do dan thinks one of the par threes
out there is pretty awesomeyeah, but I thought of one hole
I.

Speaker 2 (55:16):
I think.
I think there are opportunitiesfor dream golf to create other
destinations that are going tobe just as good without an ocean
, but it's going to take sometime, and I think that's what
they're trying to do.
They're probably trying tospread it out and it's just
going to take time.

Speaker 1 (55:36):
Any sheep lovers only have a hole in one.
Miles is on one tonight, man.

Speaker 2 (55:42):
Yeah, he must've had some wine tonight.
Did you drink that?
Uh like 19 1986 bordeaux orsomething, but no, I and there's
good spots everywhere, I meansheep has probably the best
opening hole on bandit.
Personally, I love the openinghall on sheep I really, I love
the volcano hole, I love theturtle head.
I hate that fucking hole 82racha there you go see, it was

(56:08):
four years off too funny, toofunny, all right.

Speaker 1 (56:13):
So, uh, being uh new years, I I was curious do you
guys have any uh resolutions, any golf resolutions, any life
resolutions, any, any, anything,anything.
And if y'all want to chime inon yours, we'll share them If
you're still here set.

Speaker 3 (56:32):
Paul Peters.
Sorry, you're, I'm sure you're,I'm going to listen to God damn
fat straight up, right here, straight up, I got.
I'm looking to drop about 40pounds, so yeah, I uh um Kenzie.

Speaker 1 (56:48):
uh, uh, I don't know if you guys remember kenzie, she
was in the vg and a coupleyears ago, uh, she uh got um her
nutritionist license and sheopened up her own business.
She is uh doing sportsnutrition now and she was
running a promo.
I helped, I throw some love outthere, shared some support, and
so I I won uh some consultationwith her uh, so she's going to

(57:12):
help me get my nutrition on theright path.
I'm excited now that I canactually exercise.
I've been going on walks, beenriding the peloton, doing my
knee exercises and stretching, feeling really good.
So, uh, same dan I'm.
You know, last year, uh, I puta lot of weight on because of
the injury and it really reallyhas affected me more than I

(57:36):
thought.
So I'm looking forward to uhdoing that as well.
I'm happy I hit uh two years ofuh sobriety been two years since
I've had a drink.
I'm pretty happy about that.
Uh have no, no qualms about itand no desire to go back to it.
So going to keep that rolling.
And, um, yeah, I don't reallyhave any golf resolutions.

(58:01):
Um, I always try to set goalsfor myself and I I tend to get
more disappointed of not hittinga goal than the work at trying
to get it to it.
So, uh, I think I'm I'm gonnahave a little soul golf this
year, with you know, uh, notbeing so fixated on trying to
improve certain aspects of mygame and just going out there

(58:23):
and playing and seeing, uh,seeing what comes of it.
Not that I'm not going to grindand not that I'm not going to
try and get better, but, uh, wewill, we'll we'll see how it
goes so.

Speaker 3 (58:35):
Hell yeah, good for you.

Speaker 1 (58:38):
Yeah, oh, I also.
I also do want to get the themaster fitter certification with
with callaway.
I think that'll be a that'll bea fun thing to have that way
julian and I can be a you knowmaster fitting team here in the
valley, which by the way yourcallaway stuff.
I know all the the leaks andeverything.

(58:59):
We're out and uh man good lord, did that freaking elite driver
get some hate?
I don't know if you guys sawthat post that I shared from
golf digest.
It's the costco driver oh my god, I was like damn people are
bitter as hell.
Um, that's why I said please, please, schedule a fitting, go

(59:21):
online schedule fitting and gohit it.
Doesn't cost you anything toschedule a fitting and go hit it
and just see for yourself.
I will say firsthand it's verygood is it going to change your
life?
I have no idea.
Could it?
It really could.
Could it just be terrible?
Yes, it could just be terriblefor you, but I will say this the

(59:43):
fairway woods and that's whatI've been touting are amazing,
and dan shared a leaked photowith me today that we saw they
have a titanium version coming,which I didn't know about.
That was news to me.
Um, that has me getting timesecrets.

Speaker 3 (59:58):
It's already on the website.
It's on the callaway websitealready.
Oh wow, it almost $500.

Speaker 1 (01:00:03):
Yeah, it came out today.
The stuff was released today.

Speaker 2 (01:00:07):
Low-level company man .

Speaker 1 (01:00:10):
I'm not high up in the company yet to get those
leaks.

Speaker 2 (01:00:15):
Secret weapon.

Speaker 1 (01:00:18):
Yeah, the Fairway Woods are going to be game
changers.
Ooh, Golfo's buying a newputter this year.
What are you buying?
What are you looking?

Speaker 3 (01:00:26):
at what are you buying, Golfo?

Speaker 1 (01:00:28):
Don't say that.
I mean, what are you looking at?
Yeah, the fairway woods, Ithink, are going to be.
They look ridiculous theshowstoppers this year.
The tech that they have in thatit's been.
It's not new tech.
I think it's just a revision ofsome tech from years, from days

(01:00:50):
going past.
Uh yeah, but the way thatthey've done dude it's, it's
gonna be special, it's gonna.

Speaker 3 (01:00:57):
I wish they would have stuck with the matte finish
or or carbon it is the only onethat has on the on the triple
diamond yeah, the triple diamondis the only one that's gloss
and I don't yeah don't get it doyou remember the old school
callaway ft3 or ft1, I think it?
Was that's exactly what Ireminded me of.

(01:01:17):
Yeah, with the gloss black head.
That's exactly what that clubreminds me of I don't like the
gloss black.

Speaker 1 (01:01:23):
I I think matt is just.
It's so much more appealing.
It's not shiny, it's easier tolook at.
Um, you know, I think was pxgone of the first ones to ever do
a matt.

Speaker 3 (01:01:35):
Finished when, when their gen one first came out
yeah, they might have been oneof the well yeah, and the first
ones to do it, for sure it'sjust it look, it's so.

Speaker 1 (01:01:46):
It's so such good eye candy it's.
It's nice looking at the bottomof the club I was chatting with
uh, uh matt from canada that'smy wife first.
Uh, why so many people get gonuts over the what the bottom of
a driver looks like?
You know the only time I toldhim it is funny.
Yeah, I, I never see the bottomof a driver looks like you know
.

Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
The only time I told him it is funny, yeah I.

Speaker 1 (01:02:06):
I never see the bottom of my driver unless I'm
making an adjustment or I put inmy bag before I put my cover on
, which I never do.
I always put my cover on beforeI put in the bag yeah I never
see the bottom of my club youknow, occasionally I'll look at
it to see if there's any t-marksor anything so I can check my
path.

Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
But other than that, or maybe to throw some lead on
it to get my swing weight, butyeah, I think a lot of people, a
lot of people probably justlook at the price tag at some of
these new drivers and and theysee that they're 600, 700, you
know whatever, 500 or whateveryou're getting them for, um, and
they want to just look atartwork at their, at their club.

(01:02:46):
You know, it's more of likewhat looks pretty instead of
what actually feels good andwhat works best for me.
Yep.
So yeah, I think just a lot ofpeople are just, you know,
obviously they're unhappy withthe color choices.
I see a lot of that, a lot ofthe color choices being being
being ripped into exactly, butum, overall.

(01:03:08):
I mean, once you set that clubup, like you said, you can't see
the bottom.
You don't know.
It's white and green and it'sgot all the shit on the bottom
it looks good from the top, soit looks fantastic I think
that's why a lot of people getall up in arms, you know,
because they just they want tolook at something super pretty
from the top and from the bottomwell, I don't see it on my vip

(01:03:30):
site yet.

Speaker 1 (01:03:30):
So um, do they have?
Did they have the drivers onthere too?

Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
I just saw the tight.
I just, oh, yes, they did havethe drivers on there, um, but
yeah, I, I, I think I saw it onan instagram ad and then it said
shop now, or sort of click thelink here.
And then I hit the link and ittook me to the callaway site
where they had all the clubs upoh shit, yeah, there it is yeah,

(01:03:57):
that titanium 349 triplediamond is 399 dude, it's all.

Speaker 1 (01:04:04):
There's no green in it.

Speaker 3 (01:04:06):
Yeah, it's all blacked out.
Yeah, it's pretty $449.
Yeah, it's $450.

Speaker 1 (01:04:16):
Fairway's coming up to driver prices.

Speaker 3 (01:04:19):
Oh, my Lord.

Speaker 1 (01:04:20):
Yeah, Wow, when I saw that I was like holy shit.
Wow, that is crazy.
All right, let's get the priceson the new drivers the Elite
599, elite X 599, triple Diamond649, max 599.
So yeah, 599 and 650.
600 and 650 drivers, jesuscriminy.

Speaker 3 (01:04:43):
Yeah, I like that.
I like that.

Speaker 1 (01:04:44):
Elite Titanium 3 wood I'm probably going to buy one
Dude that is.

Speaker 3 (01:04:51):
As soon as you guys get the heads you got to, let me
know, because I want to.
I want you to make me one so Ican try it, swing it three times
and decide whether I want tobuy it or not.

Speaker 1 (01:05:00):
Do they have?
It's available.
117 is when they come out.
Man, that is God, that is goodlooking.
Do they have available?
117 is when they come out.
Man, that is God, that is goodlooking.
Mm, hmm, mm, hmm.
What is a elite titanium bestfor versatility and power?
Enhanced performanceForgiveness is higher, spin is

(01:05:21):
low, launch is high.
You got me at enhancedperformance.
Oh, good stuff.
I will go and test everythingthat's available here at Grand
Junction, colorado.
Oh, if you can.
I wish Callaway did better withour putter fittings.
But yeah, get fit though.

(01:05:41):
Get get fit.
Stop makes Get fit, stop Getfit Makes a difference.

Speaker 2 (01:05:45):
It does.

Speaker 3 (01:05:46):
Joe, you going to make any changes in your golf
bag soon.
I know you're loving yourdriver, so you're probably set
with that.
Any thoughts on a new 5-wood?
Or maybe get some new irons?

Speaker 2 (01:05:57):
What's up, bro, I got to get the epoxy out of my
driver head.
I did text Julian.
He's much closer than matt is,so he said bring it.
Bring it by tomorrow.
I said I'm playing saturday soI can't, and he said if we can
bring it by after, so I might dothat, just need it back by

(01:06:21):
south carolina trip.
Um no, I think I do still lovemy irons man.
I mean, I really like thoseirons, so I would love to get
some of those new new levels.
They look great, so we'll seeit happens there.
Maybe one of these days need asix pick.

(01:06:43):
Hey, I've been doing pretty well, but I do need new wedges.
I need a new pick.
Hey, I've been doing prettywell, but, uh, I do need new
wedges.
I need a new 60 for sure, Ineed a new 60 degree and I could
use a new five wood for sure.

Speaker 1 (01:06:55):
So, yeah, look at, they're showing the what's in
the bag for colin, because he'sgot the, you know, the new qi 35
and and all this stuff he's heis still rocking the original
sim titanium.
Yeah, and so am I I still havethe five wood joe does too.

Speaker 2 (01:07:10):
It's so good, it's very good so good I think, those
.

Speaker 1 (01:07:15):
I think those were like 250 when they came out and
I was like good lord, 250dollars for a fairway wood.

Speaker 2 (01:07:20):
I think it was 270, 280 but that's.
But that might end up being oneof those clubs like in the
future.
That's like oh, you got thesame titanium you know, you know
one of those legends.
I think that might be a legendclub it's pretty freaking
special.

Speaker 1 (01:07:35):
It's really good.

Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
It's really good.

Speaker 1 (01:07:39):
All right.
So I think you know we got anhour eight.
I think we can kill it thisweek.
We can wrap it, we can wrap it,we can wrap it.
I do want to wish everybody ahappy new year.
Hope you had a great holidayseason.
It's back to work For me.
I'm going to start pounding VGNstuff all over the place

(01:08:00):
because we need to get a lotmore people signed up.
Send some stuff out.
Today got some great feedbackfrom everybody, so we got 45
people, I think, right now Justa few behind where we were this
time last year, but we'll see.
We'll see how it goes.
I also want to make sure to givesome love to Roars Roars Golf

(01:08:24):
for his continued support forthe show, the Golf Stop and Las
Vegas Golf Superstore and, ofcourse, scott Russo from
Unwritten Law for allowing us touse Harmonic on the intro.
I also want to give some loveto Matty G.
He's been a crazy busy man withwork and family.
He really wants to contributemore to us.

(01:08:45):
It's just been a time crunchfor him.
So no worries, you know healways has a home here with us
and we're happy that you knoweverything's going well for him.
I do want to send some good, positive vibes out to Matty Boyd
.
His wife's going through someshit right now that he's been
spending a lot of time with herat home and in the hospital, so

(01:09:08):
our prayers and thoughts arewith you and yeah.

that's going to be going on.
So, you know, make sure to kissyour loved ones and enjoy that

(01:09:36):
time that you do get out on thegolf course, because not
everybody has that time in theirlives to have time on the
course.
We're very fortunate and please, please, do not take that for
granted.
All right, joe, wrap it up.

Speaker 2 (01:09:49):
I think he's becoming a soul golfer over here, Don't
take your time for granted onthe course Holy cow Soul golfer
incoming.

Speaker 1 (01:10:00):
Never, even if you have a douche starter named
Dylan.

Speaker 2 (01:10:09):
Yeah, I have spent the past two weeks taking care
of the kids.
I only get to play golf onetime.
Uh and uh.
Yeah, it got to me a little bit, but you know what?
I get to play golf thissaturday and uh, next week, on

At this point, uh, yeah, golftrip for our birthdays.

(01:10:31):
Uh, I can't wait for that.
It's gonna be fucking freezing, but uh dude, I saw the weather
forecast.

Speaker 1 (01:10:38):
What the hell yeah what the hell's going on?
It changed pretty quickly itwent from 62 to 42.

Speaker 2 (01:10:45):
I was like we just got some bad luck yeah, but hey,
just just like we're going man,the just like the day.

Speaker 1 (01:10:53):
Anything could change at the drop of a hat yeah,
german, I can take a road tripto rams hill while you guys are
gone just like the, the paint ona bottom of a driver can change
from Elite to Costco real quick.

Speaker 2 (01:11:08):
We're still going and we're going to have a good time
, and if we don't get all theholes in, then we don't get them
all in, but we're still goingand we're going to have a good
time because we're with thehomies and we're enjoying
ourselves.
So hopefully you get out thereand play some golf as soon as
you possibly can.
If you are in the northeasternpart of the united states, come

(01:11:33):

New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
