So yeah, number 312 boys 312dude.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
All right, 12, since we are on 300.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
That's crazy no, right, uh.
So uh, how many raise your handif you listened to the Crank
interview?

Speaker 2 (01:27):
I've started.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
I mean, I feel like Crank should have been 312 and
this episode should have been311, and then we could have just
been like Amber is the color ofyour energy.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
I didn't even realize it was 311.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
That's's yeah, my bad .

Speaker 1 (01:46):
I should have been at 310B no, it was really good
yeah, very informative, veryinteresting.
The.
It's a hard thing to do to takeon the majors.
We also hit the club too atRevere.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Yeah, that's what I was going to get to take on the
majors.
We also hit the club too atRevere.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Yeah that was going to get to that.
It's tough to take on hugemoney and he's doing it and
Lance is being very successfulat it.
It was a blast talking with himabout it.
The feedback from the episodehas been great.
It's one of our best long-formYouTube videos we've ever put
out.
The feedback from the episodehas been great.

(02:26):
It's one of our best long-formYouTube videos we've ever put
out.
So much love for them forsharing it and helping send
people to it to watch it.
Yeah, and Lance sent one of thedrivers and it's the conforming
driver.
They have two the long driveand then the pro that's meant to
be played.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Three no.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Oh, they have more than that.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Pro X and then double X.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
There's two that have thinner faces that they have
not submitted to be conforming, and they have two that are
conforming.
One's a long drive driver thatyou could play on tour if you
wanted to, and the other one'sthe one that we hit on, uh,
sunday.
So it's, uh, it's different.

(03:10):
I'll say that uh, you know it's, it's.
I had a hard time hitting it atfirst.
I kept hitting it low and, uh,if you don't hit that thing on
the sweet spot, it everybodyknows because it's loud.
Um, it's, you know it's an alltitanium head it's.
You know there's.
I'm gonna have to ask him if,if you know, some rag glue could

(03:32):
be put in there to help deadenthe sound a little bit.
Yeah, I'm sure it could, because it's got some weight
ports in the back, so anything'spossible with that stuff.
Uh, but uh, dan, dan was justabsolutely ripping it.
What do you think, sir?

Speaker 4 (03:48):
and you hit everything well, though yeah, it
feels good and it's uhdefinitely a little different.
On the sound, it definitelysounds like you know, mid-2000s
pings on the uh, on the uh, fulltitanium heads.
But, um, it felt good.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Like I said, I hit it pretty good, I hit it high, but
and you hit it far, it felt, yeah it felt nice, so I got you
know, I mean that was myfurthest drive of the day that I
hit, because I played the backto you with you guys on that
hole and I was.
I was like wow, I couldn'tbelieve where I was you know
you're with me right there, likeyou know yeah and feet yeah, it

(04:27):
was.
Uh, it's I mean, and that one Icaught right in the.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
It's so funny, everybody's reaction whoa well,
like I didn't hit a drive goodall day, you know I mean, if you
listen to the, the, the episode, it's it Roland Bolge, which is
huge, I mean, and that's whatBryson's been on forever and
that's even translated to hisirons, and Roland Bolge, it
doesn't spin off axis very much, you know, like I didn't feel

(04:56):
like I hit it very well, but itdidn't like slice or cut, it was
just like a little softy, little left to righter, you know
, and it stayed fairly straight.
So I think I mean there'ssomething to that rolling bold
shit.
You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Yep, absolutely, Absolutely.
Yeah, I'm going to.
I'm going to.
Wasn't a big fan of that shaft,Just didn't feel good to me.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
I've never liked that shaft really.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Yeah, and so I may.
I may tinker around with someother options in that shaft.
Really, yeah, and so I may, Imay, uh, tinker around with some
other options in that shaft, because it's, I mean, when you
hit it, well it it goes far, andI think you know 80 fairway
plus 20, 25 yards.
I could get used to the sound, yeah yeah, yeah, the sound is

(05:42):
different.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
It's not.
It's not terrible, but it'sit's.
No, it's not, it's not terrible, but it's, it's.
No, it's not, it's not terrible.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
It's not sasquatch, you know it's not, it's
different, it's different.
Yeah, it's just not what you'reused to hearing.
But yeah, uh, that being said,I I hit the elite very well on
sunday.
Yes, you did.
I'm very happy with that, andthe shaft that I have in it
right now is is the new um tensea one K black.

(06:07):
And you know, I I tell my boy, nick, at LAGP I mean, hey, you
got to find something like this, cause this is really good right
now.
So, um, but it's, it's light,it's 40, almost 46 inches and
you know that's a little bitlong for me, but I was, I was
playing it well, so I didn't uh,didn't have too many issues

(06:29):
with it, but I, I'm reallyliking that driver, it's, it's
going far, I'm hitting it welland uh, yeah, I, I had a
personal best with you guysagain at revere shot 72 for the
first time in my life.
Yeah, I'd never even ever shotpar.
I had five birdies on the day umstarted bogey, you know, and

(06:51):
it's like but, uh, stayed withit and and played some good golf
, so I'm pretty proud of myselffor that yeah, yeah, career best
birdie round too yeah, yeah, never had five birdies in a
round it.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
I mean you gotta, you gotta, lay down some birdies to
get the pb.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
So yeah, I was 200, 200 on the back, um with three
birdies and one bogey.
So that book.
Oh, did I show you guys the,the video of the, the approach
on 15 with the ball.
It just it didn't bounce, itjust did the tie spinner across
the green.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
Yeah, I saw it.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Yeah, that was wild oh my goodness, because Julian
was out there with us.
Shout out to you if you'rehanging out tonight.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
That was a great surprise.
I didn't even know he wascoming.
Yeah, I went up the entireround.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
My approach shot came in and it hit the collar
perfectly.
You know it came up.
I didn't hit a great shot.
It came up short um, and but itwas low enough that it would
have.
It probably would have releasedto the back half of the green.
I would have had an uphill puttfor birdie.
But this it like just hit thecollar, didn't bounce at all and
just zoom straight across allthe way and then up into kind of

(07:59):
a tricky spot one of theweirdest uh bounces I've ever
seen.
Right, it wasn't even a bounceit wasn't even a bounce as we
because I was like I know I hitthat well enough.
It didn't come up short becausewe didn't know where it was and
, you know, none of us exactlyhave brilliant eye vision you
could easily hit a pebble.

Speaker 4 (08:17):
Those bunkers are a little pebbly, you know.
You could easily hit a pebbleor something.
Yeah, very much like pebbleshot across yeah it's it was.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
It was wild, but uh, I had a nasty little up and down
on the 18th.
Uh, to, to save it, a littlesandy par and it was a big putt.
It was a big putt and I showedthe video to roars and he's like
good thing you made it, becausethat was going to be further
away than the first putt.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
I said I wasn't leaving it short.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
I wasn't leaving it short.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Yeah, I told Dan I was walking across.
I was like he told me this isfor even par for his PB.
He's like, oh really.
I was like, yeah, he probablyshouldn't have said anything
because he might have ruined it,but you dropped it, you dropped
it, he's clutch yeah, well, youknow what?

Speaker 1 (09:03):
and I was thinking about because, uh, you guys all
play the back tees and I played,I played the gold tees at 6600
yards out at lex um, and itallows, it allows me to kind of
just get into a zone.
You know, I'm up there on thebox by myself yeah, you know
I'll hang out with you guys whenit's closed, you know.

(09:23):
So I can hang out with everybody, of course.
But, um, there's some boxes, that there's a you know pretty
good gap, and uh, so, as I'msitting there waiting for you
guys to hit, I just kind of getinto my own little element and
it's, it's, it's really yourlittle better help area, you
just yeah, better help, you knowthis episode better health.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
We will welcome you.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Just wait until better health finds out about us
.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
Yeah, that's going to be great.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
All right.
So did you guys watch TGLtonight?
A little bit?
Not yet.
Not yet which teams playedBoston?

Speaker 1 (10:06):
and LA.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
Boston and boston la is the team to beat, bro.
They're, they're, they'reloaded, they're loaded for real.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
Yeah, I swear.
I feel like keegan bradley'sjust always playing.
Seems like I mean he's playedlike three nights right, three
of the what five, no only tworeally yeah, their first week
was last week.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
That was the first time that lori was on I mean, oh
, okay yeah, no, I think I thinkla la golf club is is the team
man.
I mean, you got carlin, you gottommy, you got jay rose.
Who's the other player?
Um, I can't remember, becauseeach team has four players.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Xander, isn't it Xander?
Yeah, no, xander's in New York.
Oh, new York, that's right.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
Makes complete sense, you know.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
San Diego kid.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
How did I forget?
Yeah, but no.
Yeah, Each team has fourplayers.
Alternate the fourth spot, whatever it is.
But yeah, each team has fourplayers.
Alternate the fourth spot, whatever it is.
But yeah, dude, LA is the team.
Bro, they really are.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
It's going to be interesting.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
And Adam Scott in Boston makes complete sense,
like you know a kid from downunder just coming up, you know,
probably is really a fan ofDunkin' Donuts or something and
just ends up in Boston.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
I totally get it it makes so much sense.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
Sam Adams too, yeah, your uncle from Boston.
Yeah, so TGO was on Goodepisode tonight, A little dry at
some spots, but overall it'sthe product.
It is what it is.
I tune in to watch golf becauseit's golf right, yeah, I could

(11:55):
watch the Knights lose anothergame, like I did, but thankfully
I was able to go, get out of mydoldrum and watch some golf.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
I mean I do enjoy watching it.
I don't enjoy the blowouts, because what is it?
Three out of four weeks now isa blowout like four out of five
four out of five.
So last week was the best one.
But that's the hard part, youknow.
And and just I mean it is golf.
You know you don't always haveit.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
So but Did you notice , opposite of this on Golf
Channel was the Good, goodDesert thing that was tonight.
Was that live.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
They did it last year live?

Speaker 4 (12:39):
Yeah, I think it was.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Okay, because I couldn't tell.
I didn't know, I mean becausethey were all wearing like harsh
winter clothes and I know it'snot crazy cold down there right
now because we're super niceright here um, you know, it was
in the 70s, all day today.
So, uh, it was.
That's why I was like is thistape delayed and it was filmed a
couple weeks ago, or yeah?

Speaker 3 (13:03):
yeah, well, everyone's out there for waste
management currently.
So I mean that's why it's goingon.
I mean there's a lot of eventshappening, but if they're
partnering with Los Angeles GolfClub of TGL, like why are they
putting something on at the sametime as their affiliate, if you
will Right, that's interesting.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
I didn't know that was nice.
Hey, money, money, money.
Double dipping, why not?

Speaker 3 (13:28):
I mean good good.
They're visionaries.
They have changed the game.
They're visionaries and theyunderstand the future of golf
completely.
You know what I mean Completely.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
Completely.
Yeah, it is.
A good tour is coming beforeyou know it.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Matt knows what I'm talking about.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Yeah, joe, and good tours coming before you know it.
Matt knows what I'm talkingabout.
Yeah, joe, and I got a littleinside thing going on.
We'll fill you in on it later.
Uh, goodness, you make me losemy train of thought.
Yeah, uh.
So yeah, I watched a little bitof that.
I'm gonna see if I can find iton.
Uh, on the golf, if they replayit, because I'm curious to see,
because I had uh, it was onpeacock yeah, is he on a?

Speaker 3 (14:05):
golf channel hold on trotty was on there yeah, he was
on there with uh he was just ingermany with uh matt cartus,
like a day ago, and that'scartus, if you guys don't know
that card is another girl, yeahyeah, he's golfing your state,
he's in your, your state.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
He's in.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
Germany for the Adidas thing and he said you
know he's always loved Adidas,so that's why he's missing waste
management this week.
And I saw a video of Cardis inGermany filmed by Trotty Golf.
So I mean Trotty's traveling.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
Maybe it was taped.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
Maybe it is taped, potentially, does anybody
anybody?

Speaker 1 (14:45):
know.
If anybody's listening orwatching and knows, let us know,
because I am I'm not sure butyeah, it was like it was like 85
degrees there today.
So yeah, they were all deckedout in winter clothes, like
everybody it was.
It was weird, that's why theythink it was live that makes it
even more interesting.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
If, like they're, they just partnered with la golf
, why would they throw it ontonight if it was pre-taped?

Speaker 1 (15:10):
well, maybe they didn't know that they were
partnering with them until thelast minute I guess could be a
contract situation like we'reairing this.
Yeah, hey we cannot put it on,or we can.
What do you guys want to do?

Speaker 3 (15:22):
yeah, put it on, yeah put it on tomorrow, put it on
yesterday, but I don't know.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
There's probably a uh , greg norman.
Uh, best of choke memorandum.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
Now they're not gonna do anything on norman just
throw on a worldwide uh shellswonderful world of golf, you'll
be yeah exactly that.
Exactly that's what I want tosee.
I love those.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
They're really good, they need to come back.
They need to have another one.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
You need a Shell's Wonderful World of Golf
Abandoned.
That'd be cool, that would beamazing, like if they filmed one
in 99.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
Who would you want to see play in a match at Bandon?

Speaker 3 (16:07):
Like in 99?
.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
No like in tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
Oh did it.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
Who would you want to see Jordan?

Speaker 2 (16:14):
Spieth, because creativity yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
I like it.
I like it.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
I think a Spieth game at.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Shorty's.
I think a Spieth versus Homamatchup band would be fun Spieth
versus JT would be fun.
That'd be great, yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
Smiley Kaufman could be there.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
Just walking, ricky recording it.

Speaker 4 (16:39):
Shuffler Shoffley oh.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Then let's see what else happened this weekend.
We went to Pop Troke last night.
That's why I'm so out of it.
I was out way past my bedtime, like way past my bedtime, and I
forgot to send Dan a messagemaking sure he got home.
Okay, I see you did, glad, yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:09):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (17:10):
a jail wall background.

Speaker 4 (17:11):
I was fine, I was like not even bust, I was good
oh bullshit.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
No you were not even it wore off.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
It wore off by the time I had.
I had three of those total ofthe night yeah yeah, well when
you don't eat carbs.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
Yeah, you wait you were, you were not, you were not
you were good having the timeof your life.
Yeah, you were.
You were enjoying yourself youwere having a time of our life
you were a little.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
You were a little sloshy.
You were a little sloshy therewas a couple, a couple instances
where you know people coming upto be going, dan gonna be okay
and I'm like oh, dan's fine yeahhe's just happy to be there.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
Right, he's running down the hole, yeah yeah, yeah,
he's having a good time.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
Uh, so I, I I got home last night and I'm like why
didn't I see rob when we wereleaving?
And I'm like what did he bounceearly?
So I sent him a message.
I go, dude, did I miss you whenwe were leaving?
He's like he brought me mythird drink.
He's like no, I went in to goget some more drinks because I
thought you guys were making theturn and everybody's gone.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
Yeah he came back out and he's like what the hell I
go?
Yeah, they, they're all rightthere in the parking lot, only
me and jeremy hung back oh, thatwas funny I was I was like oh
man, I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
I said yeah, we played 18.
I was, you know, three hourspast my bedtime.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
I would have loved to play the other 18, because I've
never played the other side, ohyou haven't.
No, I haven't played that.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Yeah, it's easier.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
So, Dan you had an ace, I had one, and Jackson had
one right so, dan, you had anace, I had one, and jackson had
one right, I had two.
Yeah, joe had two, you had two,and dan got one on the same
hole, right, yeah, which wascrazy.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
Yeah, I hit that little and wow cut draw I shared
that video because, uh,alessandro sent me video, the
one that I made, and then joehad it recorded with his with
his glasses and so that was afun video to watch, uh that
place is awesome, man.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
That was really fun and it wasn't too crazy busy, so
that was a lot of fun for us toall play together yeah, that
was, that was a good time youcould tell the the couple behind
us was like a little disturbed.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
But what are you going to do?

Speaker 1 (19:29):
If we did four groups and four groups, it would have
just been a hold back evenfurther.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
We were also up on the group in front of us every
hole.
Oh yeah, because we were justplaying dollar bird or aces so
we weren't putting out.
Yeah, it's a good time, man,that's.
I mean that's.
It is a lot of fun, man.
I.
I do enjoy that place a lot.
Pop who ate who had food.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Did you enjoy the food?
The food good oh, yeah, givethem some love, because every
time I've eaten there it's beenamazing yeah, me and jeremy both
have a salad.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
The southwest was it the southwest, southwest?
It was really good, dude.
I love chopped salads.
If you chop lettuce and make itlittle bite-sized pieces on, I
love that shit if you can eat asalad with a spoon, it's better
it's what it means me a dollar.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
That's what I, that's what I was getting that steven,
somebody owes me a dollar tooand dan and joe uh, that's what
happens when you get everybodyout there.
It's like, yeah, let's do this, let's do this, and then by five
holes in everybody's, like, Idon't give a fuck anymore yeah,
yeah especially when nobody waseven sniffing the hole on some

(20:35):
of those we should play.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
I should have said five dollar aces, because it was
my idea for dollar aces.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
I should have said five dollar aces yeah, benmo's
gonna lose money when we allsend that dollar yeah, I mean
that's a it's.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
That side is very tough.
It's hard to make aces on that,on that course that course is
hard to make aces.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
There's some difficult holes on that, for
sure.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
Very tough yeah, there's like five holes that
you're gonna realistically makean ace yeah, do you think when
they?
Build, that course I mean joeyou ace.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
Yeah, do you think when they build that course I
mean, joe, you're a coursearchitecture nerd when they
build that course, do you thinkthey analyze it, that it's
possible to get an ace on everyhole, or do you think they just
built it and I think I, I don'tknow.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
I mean I think in like because I've played at the
one in orlando and I played theharder course in orlando and it
wasn't as crazy as the Vegas one.
I don't think so.
I don't remember it being ascrazy.
Some of the holes on the Vegasharder course is pretty
impossible.
So maybe their foresight wasthey don't see leagues happening

(21:42):
, like tournaments happening orthings like that, but like in
orlando, um, the harder courseyou could definitely make an ace
on on almost every hole, Iwould say if I remember
correctly, but ag was sayingthat they're gonna be redoing a
lot of it.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
He said because the this, after the hole, the ramp
ups, there's supposed to be alot more to allow the ball to
release back to the hole.
And he said that they builtthose I do remember, yeah.
He's saying they built a lot ofthem wrong and the ball just
stops instead of coming back.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
Now that you say that I think in Orlando the berms
around the hole are more likerounded, and in Vegas it's more
like a and in vegas it's morelike a wall.
Uh, yeah, it's more like cutlike, uh, more like a 90 degree
wall.
Um, but that's.
I think that you say that, yeah, that makes total sense,
because in orlando, you can it,the ball travels around those

(22:41):
those berms a lot better andthey move better.
So, um, yeah, that makes sensethey're tripping hazards too,
you know.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
Yet I'm the one that was drunk, okay you were like
hop skipping up the hills.
Yeah, I know, I was like amountain goat up there you guys
are over there.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
I was just like nervous watching my step first
hole.

Speaker 3 (23:02):
I didn't have, I didn't have cleats on he wasn't
wearing his shoes he's wearingthe yeezys slides wasn't wearing
the parking lot wasn't wearingthe trues I wasn't wearing the
trues, but yeah, a lot of funbut I I a lot of credit.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
Your drink did not spill that's true, it did not
drinker you, you, you managedthat well, because that could
have easily gone everywhere yeah, and that was the first hole.

Speaker 3 (23:31):
So joe the pro, that's right uh I was drinking
with dan.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
Yeah, missing the comments.
This is joe lobbying for you.
As Am Replay Abandoned.
Stream it 24-7.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
I would love a stream a 24-7 stream of Abandoned.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
just watching people play just different holes, I
would watch that all day.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
Walker Cup at.
I think it's a Walker Cup atCypress Point.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
Yeah, that course ever since.
Because they used to play thewas the bing crosby, what is now
the pebble beach.
They used to play there, butbecause they did not allow
african-american members.
That's why the pga left.
So I'm wondering if they've uh,I've done some, some things to

(24:24):
get back on the good graces Idid see that.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
Uh, did you guys watch that behind the scenes of
rory winning, you know?
And he's walking through doingthe the winner thing, signing
flags and, yeah, posting to thevolunteers and he said it was
his first time playing cyprus.
That was.
That's pretty interesting wellhe's never, over

Speaker 1 (24:43):
here.
Yeah, he's always in saudiarabia or europe yeah, he's,
that's true.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
He rarely plays the california swing right yeah,
just because now they.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
You know you have to play the elevated events.
So and he already said no tohawaii yeah, you don't get any
others have you seen the?

Speaker 2 (25:05):
there's been a lot of uh stuff coming out from
players.
Jt sent that big letter aboutstuff and charlie hoffman about
playing into more tournaments.
You need to play, you need tosupport the tournaments, the and
addressing like pace of play, abunch of stuff.
Did you guys see those?

Speaker 1 (25:21):
I saw lucas glover just yeah lucas aim point yeah
yeah, yeah which, yeah, I meanhe's right.
You know if there wasstatistics that backed it up
that said aim point golfers arebetter golfers with putting and
it's.
You know, it's hard to saybecause you could get really

(25:44):
good at putting and somethingelse in your game falls off and
your scoring average stays thesame, you know.
So did your putt improve?
Yeah, but did your overallstrokes improve?
No, so it's tough to say, butit is kind of annoying watching
the guys do aim point.
I mean I love Harry, but hetakes so long to putt.

Speaker 4 (26:06):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
There's a lot of money on the line.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
Yeah, I mean yeah, these guys are putting for
millions.
I get it, I do get it.
Even with Aimpoint, I stilldon't feel it should ever take
over five hours when you havethree guys in a fucking group.
There's got to be somethingelse.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
Didn't they say this?

Speaker 4 (26:26):
year that they wanted to try to reduce some of the
fields into some of these events.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
I don't know if that's starting this year or
next year?

Speaker 3 (26:37):
Do you think that?

Speaker 4 (26:38):
has any.
Is that a result of the pace ofplay?
Less players in the field?

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Charlie Hoffman made it sound like it was in his
letter.
They've made all these changeswith cutting fields down to help
pace of play, so maybe that wasone of the drivers.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
And then I hear that they are thinking about allowing
yardage finders.

Speaker 3 (27:00):
Range finders.
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
Which I mean they've had it now for what?
Three years at the pga thereshould be some.

Speaker 3 (27:10):
They should have some data to see you know if it's,
if it's helping yeah I meanlet's look at the three years
before in the past three yearsand see if you see an
improvement yeah, I, I just, Imean, I think it's just people
like, I mean it's just certainindividuals and it it adds up to
bigger.

(27:30):
You know, taking too much timelike that video.
Tom kim on six at pebble wasjust like ridiculous yeah, it
was a minute over the ball.
Yeah, it was.
It was brian harman level, likemaybe even worse brian harman
level.
You know, like I, I would loveto understand what he was trying

(27:51):
to think.
Like what, what was goingthrough his mind?
Like was he?
Did he not feel comfortablethat math?

Speaker 4 (27:56):
equation spinning, maybe waiting on a wind to
change.

Speaker 3 (28:00):
Yeah, or, yeah, waiting on wind.
Where did?
Was he seeing tiger shot fromthat spot like in his head?
He's like I gotta be tigerright now.
You know who know who knows.
But like, yeah, fucking, justhit the ball, dude, it's, it's
uh, you are a professionalgolfer.
Like you should know what youwant to do how to swing the club

(28:21):
, find ball, hit ball.
It shouldn't take you a minuteto hit a golf ball, because
you've hit thousands andthousands and thousands over the
course of your life.
Like it shouldn't take you thatlong.
And then you fucking hit ashitty ass ball.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
Like it makes it even worse, you know, I mean I, you
know, we had a slow group infront of us at revere and I mean
there was a slow group in frontof them, so it didn't help.
But when we played we wereplaying the par 5, so 12, 11, 11
, and we all hit our shots uptowards the green.
I mean it did help us a littlebit because dan chipped in for

(28:58):
eagle, by the way, very nice.
But uh, so we're all up there.
Dan hadn't hit his chip shotyet and the guys are up on the
t-box right, so dan was firstout.
He hits his chip shot.
I hit my putt.
Uh, comes up short, tap it in.
Joe hits his putt, comes upshort, taps it in.
Jeremy the same thing, you know.

(29:20):
And so all four of us played ourshots, three of us multiple
shots, short putts.
We walked off the green, gotinto our car, drove to the hole
and they were just leaving thet-box.
It's like four guys couldn'thit t-shots in the time.
It took four guys to hit onechip shot and six putts.

(29:41):
It's like come, come on.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
Do you think that situation is because of how long
the tour players take and theythink that they can be as good
as the tour players if they taketheir time to like, visualize
and understand the shot, like,do you think that could be
bleeding off into the amateurgame or is is the amateur?

(30:06):
game too serious, like oh well,we're playing for fucking tacos
at the turn.
Like I don't want to buy youtacos.
Like at the end of the day, whoreally cares if I gotta buy
tacos, you know?
Or is there like too much prideinvolved in the group?

Speaker 1 (30:22):
like it's all of the above yeah it's just a
accumulation of all of it.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
Yeah, and I mean like for me, and maybe probably all
of us like when we, when I goout and play with you guys, it's
more to have fun.
I'm not really focusing on, youknow, playing well or beating
whoever, or you know, of course, playing well but not performing
like I would in a tournament.

(30:50):
So it's, it's for us, it'swe're fast, we hit the ball.
We don't spend a lot of timelooking for a ball, we just get
up and tap it in.
Sometimes we don't even finisha hole.
But I think most people thatdon't play in tournaments and
maybe that's their golfexperience, that's they want to
hit every shot or whatever.
I don't know but I think we playquick, because maybe it doesn't

(31:11):
matter when we're not playing atournament yeah, yeah rob said
it's because,

Speaker 1 (31:15):
90 of society has zero self-awareness outside of
themselves.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
Yeah, but it also could be because we do play in
tournaments where it does matterand then when it doesn't matter
, we're just like out there toenjoy ourselves.
So maybe some of those guysneed to play in actual
tournaments.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
Well, I need to.
I don't know when I'm playingin tournaments I need to slow
down a little.
I get you know, I get a littlehyped up and I'm like you know,
just okay let's hit it and go somaybe not, maybe not maybe not,
I know, but I'm saying becauseyou just had a pb.
Yes, maybe you need toreplicate what just happened
well, tell everybody.
Can you go?
Can you go stand back a boxwhile I hit, please?

Speaker 3 (31:59):
hey, can you pretend like we play golf all the time
for fun?
Together uh, and then like justwait on the green so I can't
hit.
And then, like you know, maybethat's it I don't know, maybe
you're just vibing, maybe you'rejust soul golfing, just having
a good time and it just came out, yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
No what was that thing that I said.
This is what soul golf is to me.
What was that?
I don't remember, but I didjust think that I can't remember
.
That was so funny.
Yeah, no, no soul golfing forme, I care a little bit too much
.
Oh, new comment from a newlistener.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
I play Paiute regularly, regularly.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
And when tourists take forever looking for their
ball in the desert, it drives mecrazy.
Just drop one yes 100.
Nice logo too, by the way.
There, jay diddly, are you just?

Speaker 2 (32:53):
drop, drop a ball.
You're ruining the moment.
Just drop a ball, hit anotherone and laugh your ass off on
the way to the green.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
Well, I think.
I think what happens too is ifit's a tourist that's been out
there before, they're probablyin their mind going.
You know, last time I was outhere I found like five brand-new
Pro V1s.
So maybe if I just look for alittle bit longer I might be
able to you know put $25 in mypocket.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
It's funny, like the the whole out of bounds losing a
golf ball, like thing to me.
Like you know I'll hit a, I'llhit a ball out, you know I'll be
like, just drive across theline and then if we see it, we
see it, if we don't, we don't.
And then, like you guys are outthere looking.

Speaker 1 (33:46):
I'm like don't worry about it, it's a fucking golf
ball.
Who cares?
I lost four or five dollars, yeah, but you know, let's just
keep it going, keep going, let'splay golf, your shot on three
was hilarious.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
He hits it, he's up, there's five bucks, yeah.
And then I loaded another one.
I hit it in the same spot.
Luckily that wasn't a brand newone, but uh you.
You know, if you're going toplay golf like you're going to
lose golf balls, fucking ithappens.
All right, like, don't spend 10minutes looking for your brand
new pro V1.

Speaker 1 (34:07):
If you can't afford to lose them, then don't fucking
play those, I mean by the rules, you get three minutes, but I
mean you got people that knowwhere.
It is like that on seven.
You know I was over there.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
I was like I know it was up here somewhere, but it's
rocking around.
I, you know.
No, I'm looking, don't see it.
All right, I'm dropping, youknow, yeah, no, I no.
Yeah, I'm.
I'm not one to hunt more than aminute, unless we're in a
tournament.
If we're in a tournament, I'lltry and take the three minutes
if I'm in contention.
If I'm not, I'll be like it.
Who cares?
yeah, but, yeah, like it's agolf ball I have, like I have
too many anyway, so like I needto probably get rid of some.

(34:46):
Probably, you know more thanlikely, it's probably a good
thing.
I lost one because I have toomany they're in my they're in my
car fucking.
Every time I stop at a stoplightI hear a golf ball hit like the
fucking you know front of theseat theo has had on the way
home from school today theo hadfive golf balls in his hand in

(35:07):
his car seat.
I'm like where did you get allthese?
It was under the seat, like Ihave too many anyway.
So let's lose them when we canand if we, as long as it's not
in a tournament ask him ifthere's a bnc down there, you
can bnc yeah, I would love a bncright now.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Notebook b is hey uh get a little, buy one, get one
action going on on the wheelsand golf balls right now.

Speaker 3 (35:31):
So, jeremy, if you need to reload, let me know I
could use some, but I will say, playing the 2025 Pro V1s, I did
really like them, although Ilost my I only brought one
sleeve and I lost them by hole12, but I thought they were
great.
I thought they were really good.
They were really good.

Speaker 1 (35:52):
They're going to be a really good golf ball.

Speaker 3 (35:55):
Yeah, I know Well, of course, miles Brown.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
I don't have a discount and I won't get one for
you, Titus.

Speaker 3 (36:03):
Yeah, I know Miles asks if we've ever been to the
vault at Bellagio.
I've never even heard of that.
I know you're here this weekend, miles.
I probably won't be able tohang out because it's Super Bowl
weekend, which is always tough, but have you guys heard of the
vault at Bellagio?

Speaker 1 (36:21):
Nope is always tough, but have you guys heard of the
vault at pelagio?
Nope, never heard of it.
On the flip side, I just gotthe new pxg desert club.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
It's legit what is the?
It's like a seven iron orsomething.
Yeah, it's like a seven iron.

Speaker 3 (36:28):
Yeah, this is like it's like a seven iron, like
stamp with like cactuses andit's just, it's designed to be
like a cool rock club PSG, psg.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
We do club separate.
We make this club like nobodyelse.

Speaker 4 (36:51):
PSG.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
Let's see, Miles.
What is the Vault?
Is that some fancy restaurant?

Speaker 3 (37:02):
look it up, it's probably some like michelin star
.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
Yeah, no, I yeah reservation in april of last
year the vault bellagio.

Speaker 4 (37:13):
Let's look it up um uh, speak easy or some shit I
don't know, bro, it looks like afucking edm.

Speaker 3 (37:26):
I don't even know there's nightclub.
I'm on bellagio website andit's just like a picture of like
some, like robot it's aspeakeasy weirdo spot.

Speaker 1 (37:37):
He said speakeasy I told you yeah yeah those are
popping up all over the placenow speakeasy.

Speaker 3 (37:46):
I love speakeasies, I really do.
There's a really cool one inorlando.
If you're out there, it'scalled uh fuck what's it called?
But it's like a.
It's like a fake shoe repairplace.
It's on a rooftop.
It's called like tom's footshoe repair.
You have to like call like theshoe store.
Yeah, they're like.

(38:06):
You got a call and they're likeuh, hey, we can't.
We can't, uh, fix your shoescurrently.
But if you come back at thistime, you know, and say this
word at this address, we mightbe able to help you with shoes
or something.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
Here's some bourbon instead.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
Yeah, I love speakeasies Boo-bear.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
To completely change the subject, because we talked
more than just golf on this show.
Jeremy, what did you think ofSilo I?

Speaker 2 (38:37):
haven't started it yet.
I've almost started it threetimes.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
Almost started it three times.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
We've started the episode and then the kids need
something, and then we pause itand then that just goes away.
That's a shame.
I thought there was threeseasons that were out, but
there's only two, right, onlytwo.

Speaker 3 (38:58):
Only two, but they have been approved for two more.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
Yes, so okay yeah, uh , and other tv news I will
highly recommend.
Uh, paradise on hulu.
Three episodes are out of thatright now.
It's very good and that's all Igot for tv talk, unless anybody
else wants anything to share Ifinished the caught up on Ted

(39:22):
Lasso in like five days.

Speaker 4 (39:23):
I watched all three seasons.
It was amazing.
Good show.
Love that show.
So good.
Trying to get into severance.
I started that.
I'm in the third episode rightnow.
It's a little different andslow very different, yeah but I
heard it gets a lot better, so Idon't know.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
We'll see I was telling joe last night on the
way home that uh, we canceledall our uh everything except uh
hulu.
We've got the hulu espn um sono netflix, no apple tv, you
know no, no, I'm keeping appletv because we have apple one and
we you know the cloud storageand all that and then, of course

(40:03):
, prime.
So but uh yeah, hbo, mags, theparamounts, the peacocks, all
that netflix, they're all goingaway.

Speaker 3 (40:10):
So this is funny.
So, um, I was talking to juju, right, and I was like we're
going to, have you ever seen, have you ever heard of Landman?
And he was like, yeah, greatshow.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
And I was like no, no .
It is a great show, though.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
He's like I love that show, it's a great show.
And it's funny because Stephenjust said Landman is good and
then Miles says Landman is sexand then Stephen says yes.
And it's so funny when you'retalking to golfers because I've
never watched the show Landman, but when I refer to Landman I'm

(40:55):
talking about the golf course.
So I was with Juju.
I can't remember where we were, but I was like, have you ever
heard a landman?
He's like, yeah, great show, oh, so good.
I was like, no, the golf course, uh, king collins in nebraska.
He's like, oh, so I had to showhim like photos.
But it's, it's funny that thereis a, a show and a golf course

(41:20):
that are named almost the samething, like land.
The golf course ends with a d,but the show, yeah, does not but
yeah, that was funny and yeah Ican't wait to get there in
august, said landman is good edmiles said, landman is sex yeah,
exactly, yeah, when.
When you're talking to golfers, you have to clarify, because

(41:40):
some people don't know either,or but man?

Speaker 1 (41:44):
we.
I can't remember where we were, but, um, oh, I think it was in.
Yeah, we were in havasu and, uh, one of the guys that was doing
one of the putter fittings withus, uh, he is in the oil
industry, and so juju is like isthe show accurate, is it close?
And he's like oh yeah, oh yeah, there's some shit that goes on

(42:09):
down there.
Boy, yo, that's one you need towatch.
That's a great show.

Speaker 3 (42:16):
I'm saving that show for the flight to Omaha.
I mean I won't finish it, butthat's a great show.
I'm saving that show for theflight to Omaha.
I mean I won't finish it, but.

Speaker 1 (42:24):
Good, good, yeah, good one to do, good one to do.
All right, that's TV talk.
We got anything else.
Like I said, I got nothingtonight because I'm wiped.
I got like three hours sleep.

Speaker 4 (42:39):
Are we excited for waste management?

Speaker 1 (42:42):
Always.
It's going to be different thisyear because of how they're
regulating the crowd.
I don't know if we'll see thecup snake and the streakers and
the drunkards falling down hills.

Speaker 3 (42:58):
That'll be interesting because last year
was pretty bad.

Speaker 4 (43:01):
Last year was like the worst from the wmo oh, it
was horrible did you guys hearthat there was a fantasy
football prop that the lastplace player in the league had
to be the streaker at the wastemanagement this year and they

(43:21):
said that they are.
The guy who finished last is100 going to do it.
Has found a point where he canjump a fence and has a driver on
standby to make a getaway ifneeded like a whole elaborate
plan and everything to make agetaway if needed a whole

(43:43):
elaborate plan and everythingrecon.
This can't be real.
I was like, are you serious?
Is that like literally whatlast place has to do for your
fantasy football?

Speaker 1 (43:47):
it's crazy, wow you get to go to jail.
I would never make you guys dothat.
I mean, it's funny as hell.
But but, yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (44:00):
Yeah, I mean yeah, no way.

Speaker 1 (44:04):
Yeah, odyssey just showed off their new head covers
for the waste management.
They're cool.
Everybody's going to be doingstuff, so it's kind of a big
event down here in the desertsouthwest.
The weather has been amazingdown there too, so the course
should be in prime.

Speaker 3 (44:19):
I would like to go one year.
I mean, it's obviously been outof out of uh, out of their
hands.
Obviously last year it was likeway out of their hands, like
wait, it's just too much forthem to handle.
But they could just reel it ina little bit like I think it'd
be a great event to go to.
Yeah but they just it needs tobe reeled in just a little you

(44:42):
know, or make another area forfans to congregate instead of
just there but what isscottsdale without the fucking
stadium hall?
and then, no, I understand that.

Speaker 1 (44:54):
But well, what's going to happen is they're going
to make the prices so damnexpensive to get in there that
it's going to keep the riffraffout.

Speaker 3 (45:04):
Do you think it's really, do you think it's
riffraff, though?
Or do you think it's peoplethat can afford to go that get
too wasted.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
I think it's grown-ass men that just like
getting fucked up.

Speaker 3 (45:17):
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah, I don't know, I wouldn'tconsider that riffraff, that's
what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (45:21):
It's kind of riffraffy.

Speaker 3 (45:24):
I think it's like dudes that like get a pass for a
weekend and then they're justlike let loose.
I mean they're not doing, they're not out in the streets
doing graffiti, or like nostealing people's purses.
You know, that's what I'dconsider riffraff personally,
like if they're, if they'retagging trains and like taking

(45:45):
rocks and writing their namemirrors, you know that's
riffraff, you know, you got arock outside in and out.
I'm gonna carve my name intheir mirror in the bathroom.

Speaker 1 (45:56):
That's riffraff, I went yeah I didn't know, that's
how they do that.

Speaker 3 (46:01):
Good, good nice job, joe, thanks, yes, yeah, I
learned that in high schooladolescent flashbacks for joe
yeah, that's riffraff that is.

Speaker 4 (46:11):
That is riffraff, but in the in the golf space.

Speaker 1 (46:15):
They're kind of riffraffy.
You know, just I I get it.
I'm not opposed to anybodydrinking, don't get me wrong.
One too many.

Speaker 3 (46:23):
Nicola Voltras.
You know, don't give them acouple of IPAs, they'll turn
into some Bobbies, you know?
Yeah, roberts, a bunch ofRoberts out here, bunch of
Roberts.

Speaker 1 (46:36):
All right so we got waste management coming out, go
ahead.

Speaker 3 (46:39):
Speaking of, I would love to see the riffraff at
waste management open and thentwo ipa deep bobby policing it.
I think that'd be a great showoh, I'd pay for that.
That, that would be a greatpay-per-view robert as a
security security guard afterlike two or three IPAs at waste

(46:59):
management.

Speaker 1 (47:04):
That would be hilarious.

Speaker 3 (47:08):
And Miles says that core sucks.
Yeah, it's nothing without thefucking.
It's nothing without the stands.
The stands make Scottsdale.
It's not worth the price tag Iwould never pay.
When I was there, I think itwas five or six hundred, what?
No thank you.

Speaker 4 (47:27):
That's how much it is to pay TPC Scottsdale right now
.

Speaker 3 (47:31):
I don't know when I was there, it's like five
hundred bucks in the winter time, in the winter time, winter
time no stands, no, nothing andthe same.

Speaker 2 (47:42):
This ain't 1985 anymore yeah, it used to be like
200, 250 and then it just likedoubled look on, look on golf
now and uh see for next week, what uh, what the rates are oh,
let's see a book of tea time.

Speaker 4 (48:00):
I'm right here at the speaking of, I saw a.

Speaker 3 (48:04):
I saw a video today on instagram and it was like a
bunch of dudes saying likewhat's the top three most
expensive tea times you can get,and they were like, oh,
plantation course.
I mean you, you're not wrong, you guys On.

Speaker 4 (48:22):
February 19th, 7.30 tea time.
It's $493 to $519.
Wow.

Speaker 2 (48:32):
But you're saving $60 .

Speaker 4 (48:34):
Yeah, you're saving $60.
There's a $579 at $840.

Speaker 1 (48:39):
$579 at $840.
$579?
.

Speaker 4 (48:44):
Holy shit.

Speaker 1 (48:45):
Miles said he paid $350 the Monday after in 22.

Speaker 2 (48:49):
I mean it'd be cool if the stands and everything
were there, but yeah, the.
Monday after you'd be halftaken down the Monday after
You're going to get cocaine orsomething like that.

Speaker 3 (49:04):
If you've never played it, theay after the
tournament for 350 I could seethat if you've never played it.

Speaker 1 (49:07):
Yeah, that's solid.
I did book it the day before.

Speaker 2 (49:11):
I'll say I don't know .
I'd take that 600 bucks andsplit it across three other
courses.

Speaker 3 (49:15):
Yeah, yeah, I'd go play Southern Pines six times.
That's what I would do.
Or you buy a flight and thenyou play Southern Pines three
times, then go play North Las.

Speaker 1 (49:28):
Vegas Par three is a 10 ball, 40 times Exactly.

Speaker 3 (49:39):
That's like two days abandoned, yeah that is a I mean
, it's the, it's what we'reliving right now it's also
bucket list kind of stuff, youknow, like it's cool.

Speaker 1 (49:52):
I mean you know it's got the iconic hole, so yeah I
mean, I heard that they werethey were gonna just figure some
way to leave the stands up yearround, just to add to the
ambience, because people areupset that they go there and pay
and it's just a boring ass yeah, yeah, they should do that.

Speaker 3 (50:12):
They should just leave it up.
Um, so yeah, regarding thatinstagram video, I saw you guys
know I I would be upset if youguys didn't know the order of
the most expensive golf courses, one through three.
Can I get your thoughts?

Speaker 1 (50:29):
on that Shadow Pebble .

Speaker 3 (50:30):
Arbortown.

Speaker 2 (50:33):
Shadow Wynn.
It's got to be up there, but itwasn't on their list.

Speaker 3 (50:38):
In the USA.
In the USA, Shadow Wynn and TPCSawgrass win is.
It's got to be up there, but itwasn't on their list for in the
usa.

Speaker 2 (50:40):
in the usa oh, so I got shadow win and tpc sawgrass
is it whistling straight?
Oh yeah, sawgrass shadow firstwin second, tpc sawgrass third
or tpc and uh, win are like thesame price, are they 750?
I I'm asking you for yourthat's.
I mean I saw the lit, I saw theguy's post about it and win was

(51:02):
not on there and I know that'smore than one of the courses
that he said.

Speaker 3 (51:08):
So yeah, what did you say, matt?

Speaker 1 (51:10):
you said shadow, shadow uh, pebble, uh, and then
I would probably go sawgrassokay.

Speaker 3 (51:17):
And then you said jeremy shadow win sawgrass and
then matt or dan.
Sorry, um, I know you gottaknow well you hadn't seen, yet
they're both wrong.
They're both wrong.
They're both wrong.

Speaker 4 (51:33):
But if you had to guess one, two, three most
expensive golf courses in theunited states, public courses
public courses I'm gonna go youhave to know this no, I don't
know I'm gonna go shadow pebblepinehurst.
Shadow pebble sawgrass brothat's what I said.

Speaker 3 (52:00):
Shadow Sawgrass Pebble when in 750.

Speaker 4 (52:06):
I had to go 1, 2, 3.

Speaker 3 (52:08):
Sawgrass is.

Speaker 1 (52:09):
Sorry, I went 1, 3, 2 .

Speaker 3 (52:11):
When in 750, when did that happen?
I think it's been like that fora year.

Speaker 1 (52:16):
When Shadow jumped their rates up to 1,000.

Speaker 3 (52:20):
Pebble jumped them up , but his sawgrass is like 950
yeah, that's what are youserious?

Speaker 2 (52:25):
I thought it was 650.

Speaker 4 (52:27):
No, it's nine, it's like 950 now trump turnberry is
now the most expensive course inthe world.

Speaker 1 (52:34):
That's the one over.

Speaker 4 (52:35):
Yeah, it's like $1,300, $1,200 Kiowa $630,
what'd you pay?

Speaker 3 (52:43):
Dan Miles says worst value, $630 two years ago now.

Speaker 4 (52:49):
Yeah, but I got it part of a package.

Speaker 3 (52:51):
I think my total was like $500 or $550 when I paid
for it worst value so what isthe, the bet, the, the like you
felt the most comfortable payingfor that golf course and the
experience that you got out ofit, like was it 80 and I felt

(53:12):
like it was the shit.
Was it 300?
And I was like I'd pay thatagain in a heartbeat.
What course would that be?

Speaker 2 (53:20):
for me, it's the ones abandoned like all you guys.

Speaker 3 (53:24):
So you paid 300, 350 for packed dunes and you'd be
like automatic.

Speaker 2 (53:28):
I'd do that again I would pay it again yeah I would
pay that again.
Um, I would, and trails andtrails.
I would pay that for trails too.
I don't know if I would paythat for the others, though.
The best deal, what was?

Speaker 3 (53:44):
the best deal you ever got that's what I'm saying
Best deal you've ever got, likeI paid $100, $150, or $80 for
this course and it's worth waymore.

Speaker 1 (53:55):
I think when I played Princeville-Mackay I think it
was only like $100, $110, orsomething like that which I
thought that was just anunbelievable golf course for for
that price.
But I played capilou when itwas cheap too, though, but that
was, that was 10 years ago I'lltell you mine the the greatest

(54:17):
85 I've ever spent on a golfcourse.

Speaker 3 (54:20):
And if I could lock this in for a lifetime and I
would pay it every day of myentire life, southern pines,
every day, I'd pay 85 without aheartbeat.
Every day in my entire life I'dthrow 85 down and fucking play
southern pines every day of mylife for 85 bucks best deal I've

(54:40):
ever had in golf, I thinkwalked into pebble two months
into covid for 550.
That's a deal now yeah, you'vegot to be making a lot of money
to pay.
550 every day, but 85 bucks atsouthern pines yeah, that's well

(55:00):
.

Speaker 1 (55:01):
You know revere.
I said before you know reverewas 19 bucks after three o'clock
in the summertime, that I meanyou just can't beat that.

Speaker 2 (55:10):
Um, those days are gone I mean even playing piute
for 60 bucks, when we would playthere.
Oh yeah, I would do that.
I would do that every day rightnow.
I would try not to play everyday.

Speaker 3 (55:21):
Right now, I would drive out to.

Speaker 1 (55:22):
Paiute every day for $60.

Speaker 4 (55:24):
Yeah, I would do that for sure, when I first got here
, I was under 18 when I firstmoved to Vegas and TPC Vegas was
$5 to walk for juniors 18 andunder.

Speaker 2 (55:38):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (55:39):
And then I used to pay $15 to play Industry Hills,
to walk.
So I'd say for me probably thequality of golf course, for what
little I paid, was that.
I mean, I've been comped atsome pretty exclusive clubs,
like when I played Shadow Ididn't pay.
When I played Whispering PinesI didn't play.
They're all private and shitlike that.

Speaker 1 (56:04):
But yeah, for quality of golf, golf course for a
little amount I paid tbc, tbccanyons at the time, and uh,
industry hills, all right, solet's flip it you'll never pay
it again yo, yeah, I gotta thinkabout that one dude, tory pines

(56:28):
.

Speaker 2 (56:28):
What did tory pines was 40.
For us that was.
That was 100.

Speaker 3 (56:29):
That's the normal price for us.
Yep, tory pines, I don't I like.

Speaker 1 (56:33):
I love tory pines we were just talking about going
back I know I love tory pines.

Speaker 3 (56:38):
if everybody decided to go back to tory pines I would
go, but like I don't ever haveto play that golf course again
and I'll be fine, yeah.
But if everybody goes, yeah, Iwant to go, I'll pay it, but I
don't ever have to see that golfcourse ever again in my life.

Speaker 1 (56:54):
I can never play Wolf Creek again, and I would be
completely fine with that.
But I want to play Torrey again, for sure.

Speaker 3 (57:01):
but I want to play Torrey again, for sure, see.
But I think I think Wolf Creekis obviously video game golf
right, yes, god.
But Wolf Creek is moreinteresting than Torrey Pines.
I think it's more interesting, there's more intricacies to it.

(57:25):
Like tory pines is, skinnyfairways, thick, rough, fast
greens on the ocean, I'd rathergo play fucking sheep ranch all
day like I don't have to playtory pines ever again.
If you guys go, I want to go,of course, but like what about?

Speaker 1 (57:46):
you.

Speaker 4 (57:46):
Dan, it's Kew Island for me.

Speaker 1 (57:48):
Yeah, yeah, not worth it.

Speaker 4 (57:52):
No, not for that price point.
It's a great course, it's fun,but yeah, I'm one and done there
, jeremy, what about you?

Speaker 2 (58:06):
I also paid like 80 bucks to play Wolf Creek.
I paid 40.
I mean, that was a, I would say40 oh.
You didn't even pay and youdon't want to go back.

Speaker 1 (58:16):
No desire to go back to that place.
You would not come play Wolf.

Speaker 3 (58:20):
Creek again for free.

Speaker 1 (58:24):
Not when Conestoga and Coyote Springs and Oasis is
out there.
No, it's not golf.
To me it's just stupid.

Speaker 3 (58:34):
But if it was free, you'd rather go pay to play.
That's how much you hate it.

Speaker 1 (58:41):
I mean, if I'm going to drive the hour and a half to
Mesquite, I'm going to go playgolf at a place I want to play
golf at.

Speaker 2 (58:48):
But what if we all chipped in and got you a
birthday round at Wolf?

Speaker 1 (58:51):
Creek and we all played together.
Let's go.

Speaker 2 (58:55):
Okay, so you would play it again April 27th Under
the right circumstances.

Speaker 1 (58:59):
Yeah, no, I'm just talking about for the value that
, what they charged, and thegolf course, that's one I would
have no problem never paying toplay there again.
Free changes, everything, I'llgo play north as big as par
three for free.
I mean, that's guys golf jeremy, what are you, what's yours?

Speaker 2 (59:20):
I I'm not really sure .
I mean.
The most expensive I paid wasHarbortown and that was 500
bucks, but it's a course I'vealways wanted to play since I
was young, so I don't know if Iwould pay 500 bucks again.

Speaker 4 (59:38):
It's like a 350.

Speaker 3 (59:42):
That's great.
That's what's so funny, man.
We, we're like memorycollectors, really.

Speaker 1 (59:46):
you know, we're memory collectors oh, speaking
of sorry, joe, this just came tomy head.
Yeah, so cyrus, you know wegive cyrus shit because he does
not like coyote springs, yeah,so I gotta.
I'll read this text so you guyscan laugh.
We love cy Cyrus.
Cyrus is awesome, but he sentme a text the other day because

(01:00:06):
we haven't played golf in awhile and he said I played
Valley High for the first timelast Friday.
What a fun course.
I really liked it.
It's like you can't win withhim.
He hates Coyote Springs, loveshim.
Some Valley High.

Speaker 3 (01:00:23):
I would rather pay 80 for coyote springs every day
than 200 earth, whatever they'recharging oh, that's an over
even if, even if they charged 80for valley high, I'd play
coyote springs 9.9 times out of10, and that's because I wouldn,
because I wouldn't want todrive that day the drive home is

(01:00:47):
so nice from Bali, it's reallynice.
Miles said Kewa sucks.

Speaker 1 (01:00:56):
What is it about that ?
The ocean course.

Speaker 2 (01:00:59):
Which one did you say Dan?

Speaker 4 (01:01:01):
Kewa Island Ocean Course.
I wouldn't say it sucks.
I mean the course is still, youknow, it's still challenging.
But yeah, for that price pointyou would expect to be blown
away and you're really not.
You don't really get blown awayuntil like the last like, maybe
like five holes, the five holesthat are on the water, yeah,

(01:01:22):
but other than that it's youknow, kiwa island and the other
four courses that are there atthat are very similar.
It's like playing sun and snow, very similar.
And yeah, I mean the tripwasn't too bad, I think, like
for like the three days that wewere there with a lodging and

(01:01:42):
all that shit was like was like$1,400 or $1,500.
So it wasn't bad to play fivecourses and have all that
lodging there.
But yeah, solo ocean course atwhat's the price right now?
$700?
.

Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
Yeah, like $650.
Yeah, no, $700?
Wow.

Speaker 4 (01:02:00):
Yeah, I'm good on that.

Speaker 2 (01:02:03):
How much do you guys pay at Tobacco Road?

Speaker 4 (01:02:06):
Oh, we paid I think it was like $100.
90 bucks yeah 95.

Speaker 2 (01:02:12):
Yeah, that's the steal I mean for that course.

Speaker 4 (01:02:15):
that's totally worth it right For price point-wise,
and the quality of golf coursesthat we played.
That was one of the best trips, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:02:23):
Southern.

Speaker 4 (01:02:23):
Pines was sick, pine Needles was sick, mid Pines was
sick.
It was cheap.
We got blessed with goodweather, that was fucking sick.

Speaker 3 (01:02:33):
Yeah, that was a hell of a deal.

Speaker 2 (01:02:38):
What are the peak season?

Speaker 4 (01:02:39):
though Double, I don't think much more than that.
I mean, obviously they're more,but Probably around $200, $250,
$60 more.

Speaker 3 (01:02:50):
I think they're around $200.

Speaker 1 (01:02:52):
Golfo is asking do you think Black Desert worth it
for the money?

Speaker 4 (01:02:57):
No, what's it at right now, is it?

Speaker 1 (01:03:00):
$250.
Right now it's $250 plus caddy.
I think it's $350 now, isn't250 right now it's 250 plus
caddy.
I think it's 350, isn't it?
I that I thought they weregoing up to 350 once the resort
opened, because then it's a stayand play only.
That was supposed to be afterthe pga tour was there, but I
don't know if that has takenplace yet.
350 plus caddy, yeah, and youhave to stay there.
Go to, possibly.

Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
I would say it's a 200 golf course, I mean at most
to you know, honestly, likeright now it's so $200 golf
course.
At most, honestly, like rightnow it's so new too, like you're
not, it's still growing.

Speaker 1 (01:03:28):
I mean, once everything's done there, it's
going to be sick to go staythere and play and hang out for
a couple days.
Might be worth it, but yeah, just to show up and play.
I mean it's one of those.
You need to play it.

Speaker 4 (01:03:44):
Yeah, it is visually pretty stunning, mm-hmm.

Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
Miles said uh, Miles said sleeper Royal New Camp.

Speaker 4 (01:03:55):
Strands baby.

Speaker 3 (01:03:56):
Yeah, I don't think a lot of people know that course
or Stonehouse.
But Virginia, gotta get toVirginia.
Oh, I'm saying we gottaVirginia.
Virginia gotta get to virginia,oh I'm saying we gotta get I go
to virginia my sister's onlygonna be living there for a
couple more years.
Maybe we should go out thereand, yeah, let's go to virginia
we, you know, I gotta do, wegotta find a way on bulls bay.

(01:04:18):
And then what's the one insacramento, dan?
Um I forget the name Golden.

Speaker 4 (01:04:23):
Shores, no, not Golden Shores.

Speaker 3 (01:04:26):
We're talking Mike Strand's horses.
I know, I know Royal New Kent, yeah, royal New Kent man.
But True Blue is like the babycousin of Tobacco Road and
people don't know.
I mean, it's a flatter TobaccoRoad but Tobacco Road, people
don't know.
It's a flatter Tobacco Road butTobacco Road has blown up

(01:04:47):
Tobacco Road's fun.
It's so good.

Speaker 1 (01:04:51):
All the good courses are gonna.

Speaker 3 (01:04:53):
There's too many.
There's too many out there.
That's why I can't wait to getthe van and find them all yeah.
Yeah, it's coming.
Yeah, yeah, it's coming.

Speaker 1 (01:05:04):
All right, that's going to do it for this week's
episode.
It's just casual golf chat thisweek.
I loved it.
Thanks everybody for tuning in.

Speaker 3 (01:05:15):
Visionaries.

Speaker 1 (01:05:22):
Golf visionaries All right, Joe wrap it up oh hey
thanks from colorado hang ondriving from colorado to play
sand hollow.
And one more course this nextweek.
Don't go to sand hollow, go toum copper rock, you'll enjoy it
better sand hollow.

Speaker 3 (01:05:40):
Copper rock, copper Rock, if you've never played.

Speaker 1 (01:05:42):
Sand Hollow.
Of course you have to play it.
But go play Copper Rock, Don'tplay Sky Mountain.

Speaker 3 (01:05:50):
And one more course, he said, and one more course
Play Coral.
Canyon, coral Canyon is turnedaround a lot yeah, and then that
looked really good when we werethere.

Speaker 1 (01:05:57):
The ledge is just up too.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:06:05):
Sand Hollow is overrated.

Speaker 1 (01:06:06):
Uh, personally, well, there's like personally,
personally, I said personally Iand I'm giving you shit for
saying that, but if you're inthe area you have to play san
jolo.

Speaker 3 (01:06:17):
Okay, yeah, I've never played it you have to play
it absolutely play it and thenafterwards you can go they were
right yeah, but it's, I lovethat front nine.
I, I really enjoy that frontnine.
You do yes.
Yeah, I've said this before Ilike that.
I like the first hole and Ilike the ninth hole and then I

(01:06:38):
like the second hole, I like thethird hole, the second hole, I
think is four or five, four, five six the dog leg is about.
I like eight nine.

Speaker 4 (01:06:46):
Eight nine is good, I think the par three is kind of
this is why I don't know how youguys can remember holes like
that I couldn't tell you whatthe whole argument looks like,
except for the one that's on thecliff, if you've never played,
if you've never played golf inSt George.

Speaker 3 (01:07:05):
You have to play San Paolo, because if you tell
people you were there and youdidn't play San Paolo, they'll
be like why didn't you play SanPaolo?
So go play San Paolo.

Speaker 1 (01:07:12):
Don't wear white shoes and don't wear white socks
and don't wear white pants.

Speaker 3 (01:07:18):
If Black Desert is the same price as Copper Rock,
go play Black Desert.
If Copper Rock is cheaper thanBlack copper rock, go play black
desert.
If copper rock is cheaper thanblack desert, go play copper
rock, there you go.

Speaker 1 (01:07:27):
But I mean, if you're traveling, you've never been
there.
You got to play, you have toplay desert, you have to play
san jolo, you have to play blackdesert and then play copper
rock yeah, yeah, but you have toI mean I I think the views are
better at at black desert thansan jolo you have to.

Speaker 3 (01:07:49):
I mean, I think the views are better at.

Speaker 1 (01:07:50):
Black Desert than San Holo Opinions.
Thanks, david DJ Jake.

Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
That's debatable.

Speaker 1 (01:07:55):
I just enjoy the scenery much more around Black.

Speaker 3 (01:07:58):
Desert.

Speaker 1 (01:08:00):
It's just.
And the lava and the rollinghills and all that.
It's definitely a different.
Yeah, san jolo to me is threeholes on a cliff side that are,
holy crap, unbelievable, andthen some red dirt around a flat
golf course, except for holesone and nine we are.

(01:08:21):
We are faced with a lot ofopinions in this world and you
can you can believe someone'sopinions or you cannot believe
someone's opinions but hey, golfo, if you are going to play
san halo, make sure to go playthe nine hole links course,
because it is very fun and theygot a cool little pitch and putt

(01:08:41):
too right next.

Speaker 3 (01:08:42):
But also, if it's your first time playing there,
you have to play san jolo.

Speaker 1 (01:08:46):
You have to if it's your first time there, I agree
you have to like I said, andthen afterwards you can go fuck,
he was right, shouldn't haveplayed it, yeah, but if copy
rock, copper rock, is cheaperthan black desert.

Speaker 3 (01:08:59):
black desert might be a doper course, but it's too
expensive.
I think If Copper Rock ischeaper, value for money is
Copper Rock, because it is abetter designed course in my
opinion.

Speaker 1 (01:09:15):
Copper.

Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
Yeah, with less dramatic views, but it still has
great views.
Black Desert, you're paying fordramatic, dramatic views, but
it still has great views.
Yeah, black Desert, you'repaying for dramatic, like vivid,
you know.
So it depends on what you value.
That's the thing.
Do you value golf?
You go play Copper Rock.
If you value vivid visuals, yougo play Black Desert Boom.

Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
Easy.
And if you play Black Desert, look out for the rocks because
they will make you fall.

Speaker 3 (01:09:45):
Yeah, do not search for people who die there.
I've seen people almost die outthere.

Speaker 1 (01:09:51):
Don't climb lava looking for golf balls.
Just let it go, let it go Allright.
Now, Joe, take it away.

Speaker 3 (01:09:58):

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
