Speaker 1 (00:22):

Welcome to another episode ofthe Chasing Daylight Podcast.
Jeremy's here, dan's here, I'mhere.
Joe's got a green screen goingon.
He'll be here in a little while.
He's tending to some fatherlyduties.
So much respect to the dads outthere that do their business
when the moms are away.
Not a whole lot of action goingon in the golf space, but there

(00:46):
is some behind the scenes goingon and you know we're going to
be talking a little bit abouteverything tonight.
But first off, as always, wewant to thank our sponsors and
supporters of the show.
We got Roards Golf down inMiami, florida, brother, like no
other to me.
I love that man and he is a bigsupporter of ours and we thank
him for that.
The Golf Stop, the indoor trackman facility on St Rose Parkway

(01:06):
here in West Henderson I get tosay that because Joe's not
around to contradict me for it.
I'm sure he'll be sending a textin a second.
But the Golf Stop if you havenot been, please go check them
out.
Great spot to hang out withyour friends, work on your game,
have a good time, drinks, foodso many good food spots opening

(01:32):
up around there right now.
So, uh, go check out the guysthere and las vegas golf
superstore, which, by the way, Idon't know if anybody saw the
ads running all over tv thisweekend uh, they're having their
50 percent trade in thing goingon right now.
So, if you have some clubs thatyou're looking to upgrade, now
is the time because that is asmoking deal to get some extra
money for your used clubs thatyou're looking to upgrade.
Now is the time, because thatis a smoking deal, to get some
extra money for your used clubsthat you're not yet on ebay or
marketplace or offer up or anyof those other secondhand is it

(01:55):
for a specific brand or is itjust their trade-in program?
it's their trade-in programright now.
Yeah, go, uh, take advantage ofthat if you can.
So I know I have some extraplugs lying around right now
that uh, oh, man, I can get some, uh, I don't know that new

(02:16):
titanium stuff man we got.
I'm sharing the picture.
We finally got our our testinguh demo head in not testing our
demo head, our fitting head intoday and uh picked it up and uh
, yeah, it's a little picturehere.
It is right here.
That's the uh.
The top line it is uh, thoseare just blemishes from from me
opening the package.

(02:36):
There's nothing wrong with that.
Uh.
For those watching on youtube, thank you, you can see this.
Those watching the live feed oninstagram and twitter, formerly
known as twitter x, you can seeit.
Those watching the live feed onInstagram and Twitter, formerly
known as TwitterX, you can seeit as well.
And then this is the face-on.
Looking at it, it's got groovesall the way across, just like
on the triple diamond, but itdoes not have the glossy.

(02:57):
It's got the carbon matte.
Look no chevron for the logo.
Very clean, very sleek, goodsleek, good looking head, and I
cannot wait to hit that thing onthursday maybe does the
titanium come in a three, athree high launch and a five?

Speaker 2 (03:14):
yes, what if they'll do a seven?

Speaker 1 (03:18):
I don't know.
I hope not, because that's toomany titanium heads that I need
to have at my back.
I'm'm going to go head-to-headwith it with my Smoke Max,
because that's what I have rightnow.
I haven't gotten the Elite3-wood head yet because I just
haven't hit better numbers withit as I was hoping, figured out

(03:39):
how to hit my fairway wood alittle bit better, so I'm
hitting it well right now, although that did not take place
this past weekend.
Had to hit my fairway wood alittle bit better, so I'm
hitting it well right now.
So, although that did not takeplace this past weekend, uh, we
had our first vgn event of theseason.
We'll talk about that.
Uh, we got, uh, maddie g withthe weather uh coming up later
on for this weekend.

(04:00):
Uh, the mexico open took placeat vedante world.
Harry had a great day and thenjust couldn't bring together
enough birdies without somemistakes to stay in the running,
but he had a pretty decentfinish.
Good tournament for him.
Min Woo Lee was tearing up TGLearlier tonight.
It's wild to see Brooks Koepkathere.

(04:21):
Wasn't expecting to see a liveguy in the house Then.
Rumors are flying all aroundtoday that bryson is not
re-signing with live.
So we'll see how much truthcomes out to that, because you
know, with the live guys it'severy week there's oh big
signing coming and nothinghappens.
Um, that talk has kind of dieddown a lot.

(04:41):
You know it used to be everyweek.
There was rumors of this andthis and I think when Tony Finau
it was done, deal, tony Finau'scoming, and then he came out
and said no, I think thoserumors stopped Full Swing.
Season 3 just came out.

(05:02):
So I don't know, are you guysgoing to dabble in that again
and see?

Speaker 4 (05:07):
I watched it and it looked a little bit more
interesting.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
I just barely finished.
I didn't watch Full SwingSeason 2 until last week and I
just finished it yesterday.
Still haven't finished it.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Yeah, I didn't think it was that great.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
So we'll have some things to say about that,
probably next week, and my videois still getting some traction.
It's hilarious.
I thought for sure that theboth would die down about it,
but it's approaching 750,000views and the comments are still
coming in every single day.
It's crazy because Connor, ourbuddy Connor, out in Texas he

(05:44):
reached out to me and he's likeholy shit, dude, why didn't you
tell me about this?
I would have chimed in.
He used to play a lab.
He doesn't play a lab anymore.
So I'm like, yes, chime in, sohe may may have a few things to
say about it on there.
Um, and then I mean it's wildhow many people and todd up in
oregon who knows sam is friendswith sam.
He sent me you know we weretexting about it, not on

(06:07):
instagram, but he had somethings to say and it's it's
amazing how butthurt people getabout the over the littlest
things.
But I I do want to give a quickshout out to somebody that I
just met today.
His name's elliot tickle.
I hope I'm pronouncing thatright.
He's over in the UK, he's afitter over in the UK, and he

(06:27):
actually sent me a message, adirect message, and we had like
a really good conversation,thank you.
It's nice to know that there'speople out there that actually
want to have an engagingconversation, so I really
appreciate that.
Elliot, thank you so much.
Look forward to chatting withyou more and sharing more
fitting dialogue with you.

(06:48):
It was awesome.
I love it and that's all I canhope for with that is to get
some decent engagement fromdecent people about it.
So I kind of want to wait forJoe to get here to talk about
Siena, since you guys bothweren't there.
But what did you guys do overthe weekend?
Do you have any?
I know, dan, you playednational Friday morning.

(07:08):
Did you go?

Speaker 4 (07:10):
play it.
Yeah, I got out Friday morningwith, uh, one of my coworkers,
um, still in good shape, man, natty's Natty's looking nice,
like a real nice.
Our friend was there, oh.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Dylan.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
Yep, he was there.
He was there.
Didn't see him in the morningwhen we teed off but when we
came, back and made the turn.
Yeah, there he was Still withthe sunglasses on, so I don't
know if there was any eyecontact made, but I was
definitely burning a hole in hishead with my eyes.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
That's for sure, oh Dylan Dylan, still a little man
dylan so how'd you play?

Speaker 4 (07:50):
are you still on your heater?
Um, played pretty good.
I shot 73 this time around.
But um, yeah, I'm just, I'msolid.
Play right now.
So that's all I can ask forokay, so what?

Speaker 1 (07:59):
what has it been for you?
Because you've been a goodplayer for a long time, but you
kind of I know you had a lot ofwork going on.
You weren't playing as much.
Was that, um, what happened?

Speaker 4 (08:09):
or what else.
I think a lot of it was maybejust um, just the fact that I
was working, I wasn't likereally motivated to play and
just over the last like two orthree months I've kind of maybe
because I've gotten new clubs um, it's kind of sparked me to
want to play a little bit more.
For a while there I got areally bad putting funk.

(08:31):
My putting confidence was verymuch shot, and over the last
couple months too, I've seenthat turn around.
I've been putting a lot at thehouse when I have some free time
and at work and stuff like thatwhen I can.
But, um, yeah, I think I'mstarting to make a little bit
more putts.
I'm starting to see the ball goin in the hole a little bit

(08:52):
more, so it's uh, I think that'shelping a little bit nice.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
What, uh?

Speaker 4 (08:58):
what have you changed on the putting just working um
yeah, just grinding, justpracticing, just just practicing
, just trying to groove a strokeand just be more consistent.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
It's funny.
I was listening to the swingpoint.
They had a putting coach on,and any time a putting coach is
on something I'm going to listen.
I'm not a big hitter.
I don't hit the ball a long way.
My iron play isn't as great asit could be I'm getting better
but putting is something that Ifeel it's something that I could

(09:28):
be really, really good atbecause it doesn't involve you
don't have to be you know.
It doesn't have to be a highswing speed, you don't have to
be a crazy athlete, you know, uh.
But there's, there's somenuances to it that I really love
, and talking with preston aboutit, it's really opened my eyes
to a lot of different things and, uh, so I'm like maybe I can

(09:49):
just become a putting guruputting guru and uh.
So I I love hearing differentcoaches talk about different
things and what he was saying.
He says you know, uh, when, when the first thing that
happens, when somebody goeswrong with their putting, they
change their grip.
They hold it a different way, they try a different, they go
cross-handed, they go, they tryall the different grips and then

(10:11):
they find something that theylike and they do it, and then
that doesn't work.
Then they go I'll actuallychange the grip on the club,
I'll go to a fat grip, I'll goto a skinny grip, I'll go to a
tapered grip.
Oh, maybe I'll try a shaft.
Okay, let me try a differentputter.
And he said, and then he goesthe very last thing that
somebody will do that isdesperate to get better at
putting is we'll seek out aputting coach.

(10:32):
He says, and he goes.
So I get all the fucked uppeople that are coming to me
that have tried everything anddoesn't work, and so now I have
to be responsible for helpingthem, which I thought was
hilarious, because it's true, nobody will go first to a
putting coach.
It's true, it's changed as muchas they possibly can, mainly

(10:55):
because it's easy.
It's really easy to go to theputting green and change your
grip and try it.
It's really easy to throw adifferent putter grip on.
You know, uh, go to the putty,go to the golf store and hit 40
different putters.
You know those are all reallyeasy things to do.
It's not easy to find a goodputting coach that's accredited,
that knows what they're doing, that has a facility and can you

(11:17):
can sign up for lessons.
So I would encourage anybody toreach out if you are struggling
with putting.
Reach out to a putting coachthere, online coaches, there's
training videos.
There's tons of ways to accessthese tour caliber coaches that
help professionals and, uh,you'll see a change.

(11:37):
You'll see change.
Preston has changed my mindimmensely.
I would agree.
Putting.
Think so, jeremy, what aboutyou?
Did you, uh, did you get on thecourse at all this weekend?

Speaker 2 (11:50):
yeah, we played.
Dan and I and um steven playedboulder creek on sunday.
Yeah, it was a good time goodyou yeah, it was good.
I couldn't find a fourth and soI had a little bit of a short
notice, but it was.
It was fun.
I mean we got around quick, waited on a group, but it was a

(12:13):
good time great weather, perfectweather I try.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
I played thursday and I probably shouldn't have
because I've been sick, uh, then, uh, friday, um, dan wanted to.
You know if I could make it?
I'm like I probably could, butthen I don't know.
Two rounds and then atournament, I don't know.
I better pass.
And then I played like uttertrash at sienna and I'm like, no

(12:37):
, I just need to stop.
I need to stop, take a day ofrest, get my head straight, get
rid of this head cold which I'mstill fighting today, and uh and
, and get back to some normality.
So, but how's the creek?
Good shape?

Speaker 2 (12:52):
oh, yeah, it's.
I mean it's still it's.
It's dormant for a little bitlonger, I think, but it'll, it's
great.
Yeah, it's, it's boulder creekit's always in good shape we
have the uh.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Our next two events are in boulder city for the vgn.
We have uh, boulder muni, whichis on a sunday, on the 9th, and
uh, so there's I don't think 45people signed up for that one.
So, hey, if you want to get inthe vgn, now is a great time to
get in and get into an eventthat not a lot of people are
playing in.
Uh, I know it's a sunday and Iknow it's muni, so it's not like

(13:28):
, wow, this is a tpc vegas.
Uh, you know major uh, but it'sa fun, fun golf course, real
laid back, real chill, I think.
Uh, we had probably the mostpeople hang out afterwards the
last event we had there, becauseI got the big clubhouse and all
the boom.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
The seniors and old cooters are gone by noon, so,
with the place, we had it toourselves yeah, it's a fun
course and it's I mean, thegreens are small it's it's the
classic muni feel.
It almost feels like the backnine's, fairly different than
the front nine, but they onlyhad nine to be in with.
Yeah but I mean it's a funcourse.
I'm a muni fan so it's afavorite for a muni yeah, yeah,

(14:09):
dan signed up, joe signed up,you're signed up.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
We'll all be out there for that one.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
Yep, I tried to get a tea time there on sunday, but
it's completely booked there andboulder creek for this sunday,
which is weird wow because now Ihave I can do two weeks out,
but there was nothing availableoh, because you're a card member
.
Yeah, yeah, so I'm gonna haveto check again.
Maybe there's I don't.
Is there some event happeningin vegas that weekend?
But?

Speaker 1 (14:35):
nascar.
No, that's, that's the weekendafter us could be a tournament
or something, then yeah yeah,I'll check again if we can get
tee time, if you guyswant to play I know, boulder
Creek hosts so many tournamentsthat they don't have places that
people want to play there.
They'll send them all over toMuni.
Yeah, that could be the case, but I guess we could start

(14:58):
talking about Sienna.
I'll give a little love here tothe gentleman who won.
We had some newcomers.
This is Curtis.
I don't even know how to sayhis last name, I'm not even
going to butcher it KowalikKowalik.
He had a hell of a round.
He was the only player thatshot under par in the Diamonds

(15:18):
division had a great day.
Then we had another new member.
Ryan Doyle had a great round inthe spades division.
Uh, ret mickelson, who was theuh hearts.
He won the hearts finalstournament last year.
He joined the season late, madeit to the finals, won the

(15:39):
finals event and almost beat reddrop for the title.
And then, uh, last new member, justin cameron, who's in the
clubs division, who shouldn'thave been in the club division,
and I owe the club division anapology for that.
Uh, so he's no longer in theclub put it that way uh, yeah,
so he just hadn't fullyestablished his handicap.

(16:02):
He had, uh, three rounds postedand one of them was low, lower
than the other two.
The other two were mid-90s andthey were at a harder golf
course and so I used that as acomparison and when I asked him
what he typically shoots, yeah, and then he went out and shot an
84 and lapped the field.

(16:24):
So, yeah, that's more thanlikely what I'm going to do and
I need to discuss it witheverybody on the board is just
award all the points to thatflight based on him not being
there.
I know I can't do anythingabout the prize money and the
trophy, but that won't happenwith Justin.
Again, I'm sorry, but you know, hey, justin, again I I'm sorry,

(16:46):
but you know, hey, sometimesplayers have some shit happens
you know, hey, and uh word.
Uh, a little warning out toeverybody.
The commissioner curse is backin full effect.
Uh, joe and myself played withuh caleb and ethan, uh, two new
members, and uh, yeah, I, I letmy bad play wear off on them

(17:08):
completely.
So my apologies, gentlemen.
Uh, I am sorry for that.
Uh, the curse had been broken, but uh, it's back.
Yeah, joe, maybe that's why Iplayed so terribly.
You've got excuses.
You've played with me before.
So, uh, yeah, sienna and andthis is what I wanted to talk

(17:29):
with joe was here because uh,sienna played very different
than I've ever seen it.
Uh, the the greens werereceptive, firm, not receptive
fir, firmer, fast, very fast.
The pin locations were notideal for scoring, I guess you

(17:49):
could say would be the right wayto phrase it A lot of on-rises
and ridges, and I mean thegreens were so fast.
On the first hole we started on16, which is the short par 4
before the super short par three, and joe hit a beautiful t-shot
to right up on the front apron, chipped it up eight feet past

(18:12):
the hole and four putted becausehe hit his butt and I thought
it was going in.
I'm like fucking joe coming outhere starting birdie on the
first hole and it caught thehill and, because it was in the
back left, rolled all the waydown almost to the front of the
green.
He putted it back up, it apexedthe hill and then rolled all
the way right back down to himagain and he got the next one

(18:33):
all the way up a little bit pastthe hole and that one almost it
, it almost flipped and wowagain, I mean they were very,
very fast, uh, and it was.
It was wild to see some ofthose putts happening like that.
And then I had a completemeltdown on 11.
The other short par 4 hit mytee shot into the bunker on the

(18:59):
right, had 100 yards in and hita wedge that just came up short
and rolled down to the bottom ofthe hill.
Hit it up, roll to the bottomof the hill, hit it on the green
, roll to the bottom of the hill.
It is, it took me, it wasabsolutely ridiculous and I'm
like man, you know, I'm upsetthat that happened, but it's,

(19:21):
it's not like I hit bad shots, you know.
I mean it's through.
The balls were pretty much onthe green and rolled off.
So, yeah, it was uh, it was a.
It was a tough day out thereand then I just couldn't get off
the damn t-box.
Couldn't get off the damn t-box, but one in the water on the
first it's usually pretty mildyeah, yeah it.

(19:43):
Oh.
And joe, uh, you were wrongabout that ruling of the the
debris.
I talked to jeremy about that.

Speaker 5 (19:50):
You were wrong you owe me you owe me at least
katie's not home, but I wouldjust hear it.
Okay, all right, I was gonnatry and she wants to listen to
records.
But yeah, those greens werefucking.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
They're quick dude, they're very fast there now I I
had never seen him that fast andcliff said he'd never seen him
that fast.
And and uh, jason roberts has acard out there and he was
saying he's never seen him likethis.
It was wild.

Speaker 4 (20:26):
Absolutely.
Were they in good shape fast,or were they like?

Speaker 5 (20:30):
Yeah, they were great , they were great.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
Too firm fast.
Wow, it was pool table.

Speaker 5 (20:37):
Yeah, you just got to be super accurate.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Maybe, we should go out there and play this weekend.
Let's check it out.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
We'll check A little revenge round.
Yeah, a little redemption.

Speaker 5 (20:52):
What I kept hearing from everybody was like I played
out here Thursday and I shotreally well and today I just I
shot a 79.
I heard from a lot of people, alot of people, and they were
like it was so windy that I shot.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
I shot so well, like I felt so comfortable coming
into this and everyone was likejust blew up some people played
really well, though we had somereally good scores, which I was
glad to see, and uh, I mean, Idon't know, I, I, I don't like

(21:26):
making excuses, but uh, the headcold and the medicine and the
first event, stress, and just Iwasn't in the right headspace
and shit went south and fromthere it was.
It was terrible.
But uh, yeah, joe, you owe me,you owe me some strokes for that
.
Uh, the debris, the maintenancedebris on that one hole that
you made me hit the ball out ofyou.

Speaker 5 (21:47):
You weren't gonna win anyway.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
So it didn't matter, I was gonna beat you now.

Speaker 5 (21:51):
Well, we tied, so it's fine I know, all right you
won, you won, you won.
You're the king, you're good, you're better than me you're the
king.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Let me ask you.
Let me ask you this question.
So, based on the conditions, would you be okay paying 25252
as an out-of-towner?
Wow?

Speaker 5 (22:09):
No, not at all but it's like what is relevant to
the tee time, like what else isout there as an out-of-state.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
True, they have 6 am tee times now.
That's so nice to see we'regetting there.

Speaker 5 (22:24):
Yeah, now that's so nice to see I'm getting there
sometimes.
Yeah, and I mean it's like youknow, with golf as it is, it's
like your number 300, uh 3387for sand valley, it's just like
golf is so big right now.
You know what I mean, yeahthat's crazy.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Do you know what time they opened that up?
The?

Speaker 5 (22:45):
Sand Valley.
It was 8.30 when I got theemail.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
And what time did we?
I mean, it was shortlythereafter, right.

Speaker 5 (22:53):
I think like 11.
That was crazy.
But yeah, golf is big right nowand that's why they are
demanding the cost that they'redemanding.

Speaker 4 (23:06):
That's high piute money and that's not yeah well,
that must be yeah, 32, 73 now oh, it's going down dropped a bit
to 73, it's dropping you guysleft me out of that email.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Again I see everybody's posting their list
things and oh, I just went totheir site.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
You're in that group, pat as long as Joe and I have
two in there, we're good yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
I think Bob did it.
I did it just to be sure justto be sure, did I miss?

Speaker 1 (23:38):
hey, sign up for Sand Valley, it's open today.
Did I miss that in the chat?

Speaker 4 (23:43):
I think Joe and Dan had that really ingrained in
their minds I got that onanother chat what's wrong?

Speaker 1 (23:50):
what'd you do?
What'd you do to your baby?

Speaker 5 (23:52):
I took, I took my, I took the shorties.
Uh did a tool away from her uh,oh well, that's smart yeah it's
a single prong.
So it's like definitely can'thave a baby with, yeah, c-hack,
it's definitely a weapon.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
That's how you lose eyeballs.

Speaker 4 (24:08):
It'll be in Theo's ear.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
We just need to dub over some death metal music when
she's doing that on the mic.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
I saw a Hesherhack post that the snow is almost
gone, they're opening tomorrow.
Yeah, are you going back on thehole-in-one challenge posted?
The snow is the snow's almostgone.

Speaker 4 (24:26):
They're opening tomorrow.
Yeah, that's exciting.
Are you going back on the?

Speaker 1 (24:28):
uh, hole-in-one challenge that's.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
That's a great feeling like growing up in utah.
Like sometimes we would luckout and we could play in like
late november or january, butmost of the time you're just
four months, there's no golf.
And I just remember those timeslike opening day at hobble
Creek and it's like the greatestthing ever.
Like there's a little snow onthe course still, but you can

(24:53):
finally scratch the edge.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
I'm so glad I don't have to worry about that.
Yeah, me too.
That's where I'm here.
That's why you're here, exactly, exactly, all right.
So let's see what, what else weoh anything else on sienna joe,
did you have anything else youwant to say about sienna?

Speaker 5 (25:13):
uh, she's yelling into the mic.
No, nothing else quick trainsgood times vgn sign up, yeah
yeah, what he said.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
Yeah, uh, I'm, I'm 109 tomorrow.
All right, hesher, nice, nice, back on it.
So we'll be updating that toonext week with his shots for the
week.
Um, yeah, I was really happywith the staff out there.
They did a really good job.
Uh, they had a bang and buy one, get one free polo sale while

(25:48):
we were there that day.
That was nice.
Jumped on some, uh, some mattgray polos.
Um, everybody was no, we didn't.
We had a couple minor issues, acouple minor issues, uh, still
a little confusing on the uh,closest to the pen markers.
So this next event I'll be alittle bit more diligent on
making sure everybodyunderstands that.

(26:09):
But for the most part I thinkeverybody had a good time.
The weather was fantastic.
Uh, pace of play really wasn't amajor issue, I think.
What was it?
Five hours we got around joe, about right, seem about right,
yeah, um, so, yeah, lookingforward to the next one.
I know and I said this lastweek on last week's show you

(26:32):
know I've updated the website, the vegas golf network website.
So if you go tovegasgolfnetworkcom and you
click on the schedule, there'slinks on the schedule you can go
to the event and on the event, there's the live leader board.
So if anybody wants to seewhat's going on in the league
now, you can do.
That wasn't available last yearbut this year we're putting it
all out there so everybody cansee what's going on.

(26:53):
And if you think, uh, you know.
I heard a former uh member ofthe vgn uh had a conversation
with a current member of the vgn, said that they didn't come
back because the competition'snot good enough, which that kind
of stung a little.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
Which flight was that ?
Spades flight Hmm so are theyjust dominating?

Speaker 1 (27:21):
no, no, they weren't so did they have any wins?
oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, right,guess.
Uh, yeah, it, it wasn't boyd.
Uh, no, so, uh, yeah, that bumsme out.

(27:43):
But hey, you know what.
Everybody's entitled theiropinions and you don't have to
pay and play if you don't wantto, doesn't, doesn't matter to
me.
Wish you would, but you knowthat's quite all right.
Uh, so boulder muni's next.
If you want to get on that, geton it.
Uh, all right.
Mexico open.
I watched a lot of thisrecently because I was ill and
just didn't want to do anything,so sat on my couch and watched

(28:05):
a lot of golf.
That golf course looks likeit's a blast to play some really
challenging holes field.
You know it's after the genesis, it's in mexico.
Wasn't going to have a greatfield, um, but it was fun
watching that kid from SouthAfrica, whatever his.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
Alice.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
Gieter, bob Gieter, man, he moves that ball.
Jesus Gosh, 194, 193 ball speedon some holes, 340 average off
the tee, holy Mary, Did you seehis golf grip when he holds the
club?

Speaker 4 (28:45):
It's very strong, isn't it?
You can see all four knuckleson his left hand, yeah, and his
right hand is just super strong, and obviously he's not a small
kid.
He just gets in there, justhammers it yeah, they were
saying that.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
Uh, who was it?
It was on instagram.
I can't remember who it was.
Maybe it was, I don't know ifit was.
It was one of the chipping guys.
They were talking about why hedidn't win and it's because he,
because of his aggressive gripand his aggressive grip, when he
chips, he just doesn't havecontrol.
The ball comes out too hot andhe can't, you know, hit those
nice little nestled next to thehole shots.

(29:19):
Yeah, greenlees has reallyenjoyed the 162 ball speed guy
win.
Yeah, how about that did?

Speaker 4 (29:27):
you see the playoff hole.
Lucky yeah, with that way thatbounced off the tree it's the
ball way.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
Ob like ob, hit a tree in somebody's front yard,
that ob and bounce back into thefairway.
Oh, not the fairway, the rough, but I mean yeah that happens
sometimes that's gone.
You need a lucky break everyonce in a while good break, bad
break, and then puts it rightwhere he needs to and stuffs a

(29:52):
wedge.

Speaker 4 (29:52):
You know, that's yeah , he damn near hold out that
third shot, yeah it.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
Just it was awesome.
It was awesome to see and he'smean how many second place
finishes he's had on the CornFairy tour.
It's nice.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
Yeah, yeah.
No, it was like a feel-goodstory for him, so that was cool.
It's cool to see, you know, grinders who spend years on mini
tours and stuff finally breakthrough on PGA Tours.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
So it's cool to see he's been out there a while,
always good to see that stuffthe tree, I mean.
When he hit it I was like holycrap, that's, he's done, it's
over, yeah.
But I was also surprised when, when um, uh, jaeger took it to

(30:36):
the other fairway and had thatangle in over not over the
bunker with a lot of green towork with, I was surprised that
the putt and guiter, or whateverhis name is, didn't go that
route with how far he hits ityeah.
Just to give yourself adifferent look, you know,
because I mean his first on thefirst playoff hole.

(30:58):
You know, damn near snap, hooked it off the course and
then just hits a beautiful shot.
That I mean if it clears thebunker, he's just as close as
the other guy was.
So the other guy.
That's terrible, I'm sorry.
Other guy 162 ball speed guy.
Go that way.
Brian Campbell, brian Campbell, thank you, thank you.

(31:20):
All right, let's bring in MattyG.
We're halfway through the show.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
Let's bring in Matty G with this weekend's forecast.
Hey everybody, it's first-levelmeteorologist Matt Gontar, as
we take a look at your weekendweather forecast.
Temperatures over the weekendon Saturday still pretty warm,
around 77 degrees and a dryweather day.
To kick off the weekend We'llhave a good amount of sunshine,
pushing in a few clouds headinginto the afternoon Saturday, but
setting up for potentially somewetter weather heading into
Sunday, some more scatteredshowers rolling into Las Vegas

(31:52):
and we'll have some gusty windsaround 30 to 40 miles per hour.
So if you're booking that teetime, I'd say Saturday's looking
better Wetter days aheadheading into sunday and monday
into next week.

Speaker 5 (32:06):
Wetter days of ahead, that's, I don't like many g
like really getting in tune withhis a uh, his uh creator
lifestyle, his ig is uh, you gota little fancy with the wake up
call this morning, one that wasfunny.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
Did you see the?

Speaker 5 (32:27):
comments.
What the hell?
You go check on the kids butyou don't give the wife a kiss
goodbye.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
Three in the morning and that's early.

Speaker 5 (32:34):
Yeah, early wake-up call.
Early wake-up call.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
Is he off at 10?

Speaker 5 (32:39):
It's the life of a meteorologist.
You know, morning crewmeteorologist what do you what
you do I don't know how he doeswhat he does in 45 minutes,
arriving at 3, 15 and on air atfour, and just like doing
graphics and everything likeshout out to the meteorologist
bringing you the weather daily, although in vegas it doesn't

(33:01):
change much.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
But it's not it's always a guess.

Speaker 5 (33:04):
Anyway, yeah, it beats being a meteorologist
abandoned.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
So yeah, I don't know .
I kind of would like being ameteorologist abandoned, because
then I would.

Speaker 5 (33:16):
But that's like a big guess.
You never know what's going tohappen out there.
Like people probably hate youbecause they're gonna be like
yeah, and you know, like youjust get a, you get thrown a lot
of wrenches out there, I'm sureyeah, if you.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
If he leaves and goes somewhere else, it's gonna be
difficult, because hey, give mea minute.
Okay, look, I I had to reporton sunshine for 300 days, so
you're gonna have to show up at2 30 now you know uh, all right,
joe, are you gonna watch fullswing?
Three, of course you are rightyeah, of course.

Speaker 5 (33:47):
Yeah, I'm gonna watch .
Uh, I I wanted to watch at mydesk today but it didn't work
out.
But yeah, I do want to watch,of course.
I mean I'm gonna consumeeverything I can.
So I was uh, katie like katielikes it.
So you know, I kind of had that.
Should I watch it?

(34:07):
So I'll have to throw it on andsee.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
Yeah, it needs to add a kardashian element to it.
So erica will watch, just toneed to have a little train
wreck tv at part of it, just toget people more interested.
It's late.

Speaker 5 (34:26):
Yeah, I get it.
I mean Katie follows like allthe PGA.
What is it?
What do they call them?
The WAGs Wife?

Speaker 1 (34:31):
Wife of golfers.

Speaker 5 (34:33):
Yeah, whatever it is, wags, she knows what's going on
with a lot of golfers before Ieven do.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
Is it like the wife of golfers, before I even do?
Is it like the wife of aprofessional golfer.

Speaker 5 (34:48):
No, like she follows Brooks Kepka's wife and you know
Didn't they have a show aboutNBA wives.
Yeah well, it was called Wags, wife, w wives.
Uh, what are wags?
It's a, it's a term nowadays.

(35:09):
What are wags?
Let's look what are what arewags?

Speaker 4 (35:15):
it's a wives and girlfriends, yeah, wives of
girlfriends of professionalsports.

Speaker 5 (35:21):
I mean, it's not just PGA, it's, you know, football,
basketball.
But yeah, she follows the wagsof the PGA Tour, obviously
because I'm so entrenched withthe game.

Speaker 4 (35:35):
Yeah, We've got to know what the wives are doing.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
That's something I didn't know existed.
There's something I didn't knowexisted.
Yeah, there's something neweach week.

Speaker 5 (35:46):
Saheet Tagala's girlfriend has gotten some
videos she does like behind thescenes tours of following him
around the tournaments andthings like that.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
I've seen some of those videos Beds chiming in
with tour stats 144th on tourwith a 277 average drive.

Speaker 4 (36:08):
That's last Pretty, oh wow, yeah, that's what's
kisner numbers?

Speaker 1 (36:14):
that's my best.
What's his fairway percentage?

Speaker 3 (36:16):
though that's what I want to know, probably up there
with lpga at 75 80 percent.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
Oh, all right, so we got the wags.
I have to look into the wags umall right yeah, check out the
wags.
Have you looked at the wagslately?
All right, uh, so tgl was ontonight.
It's winding down a coupleweeks left.
Um, can't believe they weresaying 10 weeks have already
played, which I mean, are we 10weeks into the year already, or

(36:43):
maybe they've had?
It's crazy.

Speaker 5 (36:48):
It's about to be March.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
Ninth.
Sorry, massive lag.
Ninth, yeah, so TGL's wrappingup.
Minwoo Lee was on fire tonight.
From what I was watching, where?

Speaker 5 (37:03):
did he come from?
Was he like a Tony Finau, likeyesterday, just signed out of
nowhere?

Speaker 1 (37:11):
Who played originally with Wyndham Clark and Shane
Lowry On the very first episodeLudwig.
Ludwig Maybe because he gothurt, no because he won.

Speaker 4 (37:25):
Ludwig is partying with a lot of cocaine.

Speaker 1 (37:28):
He's probably like I'm taking some time off.
Minwoo, you got this.

Speaker 5 (37:34):
Was Minwoo always the backup?
I have no idea.

Speaker 4 (37:38):
I don't know how that works.

Speaker 5 (37:41):
I saw him and I was like I don't remember him.
I think Ludwig, really.

Speaker 4 (37:43):
I saw him and I was like I don't remember him, I
think Ludwig's been in two, minwu's been in two, lowry's
been in two and who's theirfourth guy, wyndham Clark.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (37:55):
I mean their whole fucking schedule's all fucked.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
Seriously.

Speaker 5 (37:58):
Yeah, why did Tony.

Speaker 4 (38:02):
Finau play in one did he because or fleetwood and
something else couldn't playokay other events.

Speaker 5 (38:12):
Yeah, it was like signed to like a week, like yeah
, one event contract their, their whole, their whole
situation is fucked.
You should not be playing at 2pm on the West Coast.

Speaker 1 (38:27):
Never.

Speaker 5 (38:28):
You should not be doing that.
Five is acceptable, four I getit, and then tonight at 6 pm 6
pm they played, so why?
Can't you play at five.
Why can't you play at five?
Yeah, why can't you play atfive?
West coast time, I don't knowfor the other ones, yeah I don't

(38:49):
know.
They gotta figure it out.
And I saw trey commented on oneof their posts like he's like
it's in the middle of the day onthe west coast.
Yeah, what do you expect?

Speaker 1 (38:58):
yep, it's weird.
It's weird, you know what I wasas I was watching it tonight
because, uh, being the thegearhead that I am, uh, because
kisner wasn't rolling the squareto square this week, minwoo was
playing a different putter thanhe's been playing.
He's playing a versaputterthat's more looks like ludwig's.
Um, but I, I would love forthem to have photos of all the

(39:24):
guys, gear and you know, thefirst time they come up and
they're hitting driver, justhave you know the driver that
they're hitting and all thespecs you know, yeah, uh, head,
loft, shaft, weight, all thatstuff, just have a pop-up.
They don't have to do it everytime they hit that club, just if
the driver okay, now they'rehitting a wedge, what wedge are

(39:45):
they hitting?
Their putter, giving theirputter specs.
I think that would be, you know, because there's so much
deadness on the, on the telecast, that it's like, let give some
people some information that canlike enjoy it, because it would
.
It would be cool, you know, if,like, right before minwoo's
stepping up to hit this chipshot, it just, you know, pops up

(40:07):
and he's got the callaway opuswedge, 56 degree bow, you know,
and then he hits it.
I think it would bring a littlebit of hype to the gear side of
it there's no club sponsor fortgl.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
Right, there's no because I don't.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
I don't remember seeing ads and stuff for just so
high, because I mean they allplay, yeah, so far.
Yeah, true, so far, yeah, sofar.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
Yeah, not so high, sorry yeah, I, that would be
cool.
Actually, I just wonder if howthat works with like the
different brands, licensing andstuff like that.

Speaker 5 (40:39):
I can't imagine any of the brands would say, no,
don't do that you know, I'm surethey're just all contracted to
play on the team and then theyplay what they play, and I mean
they're playing in the arenawouldn't you see that
interesting joe, if?

Speaker 1 (40:56):
if you know getting ready to drain a you know, like
ricky fowler at a 30-foot puttlast night, you know with his
lab putter, just to have theputter pop up and show all the
specs and then he makes theputter.
He misses, but whatever, itwould just be cool to have you
know, because everybody alwayswants to know.
I mean, look at the what's inthe bag.
How popular are the what's inthe bag?

Speaker 3 (41:18):
posts on.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
Instagram.
I mean, they're wildly popular.
The sms on tour is one of themost popular pages in golf
instagram and it's just nothingbut what is in the players bags.

Speaker 5 (41:28):
Bring some of that aspect to it yeah, I think, I
mean, I think we gotta give thema little slack.
It's the first, it's the firstseason oh no, I'm gonna be
hypercritical I know that yougot tiger money figured out yeah
, but I think I think, uh, nextseason should be better.

(41:48):
I mean, I feel like you know, they made some uh you know calls
during the middle of season, like the hammer rules uh, which
all obviously benefited, uh,some of the matches, because the
matches have been closer since.
They've changed that.
So I think they're close tobeing done with the first season

(42:13):
and I think they're going tohave a lot of time to really
dive in and figure out and getsome of the data from Twitter
and Instagram and find out whatsome of us want.
If you've posted some of yourdislikes about it, I think
they're going to be able to divein and figure out what they can

(42:34):
improve on for next season.
I don't think it's goinganywhere, so I think next season
will be better.
Just like full swings firstseason sucked and it didn't give
us a lot.
The second it didn't suck, Ithought it was good, but I feel
like the second season wasbetter.
So maybe the third season fullswing will be better.

(42:58):
I don't know.
But you know everything takestime.
You know grass has to grow in.
You know like if you played uhpinehurst number 10 the first
day, it's probably not going tobe as good, as you know, two
years down the road.

Speaker 1 (43:11):
So so you were a big proponent of tgo I love it.

Speaker 5 (43:17):
Yeah, I think it's great.
I love it still, yeah do you?

Speaker 1 (43:19):
has it lived up to your hype in your opinion?

Speaker 5 (43:24):
Yeah, I love it.
I think it's great.
I love being able to come homeon a Monday or Tuesday at 2 pm.
When I get off work right onthe dot, the time schedule sucks
right.
Get a nap and watch some golfyeah, yeah, if I think.
If it was, uh, 5 pm, west coasttime, like I get home, pick up

(43:47):
the kids, get home, you know, maybe the intros last 15 minutes
, you know I get the kids asnack and I could sit down by 5
15 and watch.
You know some pro golfers playgolf for an hour and a half two
hours.
I like it.
I hate the time schedule.
It's absolutely fucking brutal.

(44:08):
They fucked all that shit up.
I hate the time schedule, um,but I do like the product
because, um, we don't get golfon a weekday typically and it's
cool to come home, sit down andtheo's watching.
He's like, oh, he missed thatputt.
Oh, you know.

(44:29):
He's like, oh, he almost madeit.
So it's, it's kind of cool,it's a digestible version of
what we love and, uh, I thinkit's entertainment-based and
it's fun to watch them befriendly, not in super Hydra
competition grind mode, and havethem have a team be able to

(44:52):
back them up.

Speaker 1 (44:55):
I had to mute Joe.
He was just going on way toolong.
The timing's fucked up.
That's it.
The short game area is still upthere.
Hasn't been used since thefirst match.
Has anyone else noticed thatthat the front box?

Speaker 2 (45:09):
Yeah, they adjusted the distances right.
It used to be like 40 yards orsomething and then they adjusted
to 75 or whatever, but Ihaven't seen anyone hit from
there anymore.

Speaker 1 (45:20):
Well that.

Speaker 5 (45:20):
Max Homa shot.
Did you guys see that Max Homashot?
He was like close to theoriginal box and he like skipped
one there to the back.
That was cool.
I mean he's like 75 yards out.

Speaker 1 (45:31):
The other thing I think they got to fix is the
green.
They can't have the same greenevery hole.

Speaker 5 (45:40):
They've got to that shit's not working.
I'm sorry, the top tier thinggot to go.

Speaker 4 (45:45):
Yeah, I agree, that would be my one big, big change
would be like I get the, youknow, ai holes or whatever the
hell you want to call them.
Yeah, but yeah, change a damngreen or play like normal

(46:05):
courses, but just go with thosecontours, you know, and they'll
know those greens, they'll knowthose contours from tour stops
and all this stuff.
They'll pick that up quick andeverybody, everybody will have a
chance to play that same course.
But yeah, just that one bigswale in there.
It's just, it's too much.
It's like two years, that'syeah, you're right, that's
terrible yeah, that big step upthing that's bad.

(46:27):
Yeah, yeah, it literally goes upit goes up like eight inches
and like in like a 70 degreehill and there's probably any
that is horse stops that arelike that that's.

Speaker 1 (46:37):
That's very pop, strokey, yeah, very much so
strokey yeah, very much.
So.
Yeah, that shit sucks.
Get rid of that shit.
All right, that covers that.
Um, so the rumors coming outtoday mr bryson has not
re-signed with live golf rumors.

(46:58):
Have no idea if this is true ornot Time will tell but the
rumors are that he has notresigned.
He was asking for $250 millionand they said no.
So if this is true and he doesnot sign back with Liv, does

(47:23):
that pretty much end Liv Golf.

Speaker 5 (47:25):
Well, I talked to him and he said he's starting his
own golf league, the LA GolfLeague.
It's going to be the YouTubeGolfers League, ytgl.

Speaker 1 (47:32):
The YTGL.

Speaker 5 (47:34):
Yeah, YouTube Golf League you get to hit over his
house every week.

Speaker 1 (47:42):
Yeah, it's just going to be a bunch of, like you know
, gimmicks, a bunch of creatorsdoes that mean he signed a
two-year contract because he'swell, he's been there two years
right isn't this their thirdyear, because I think a lot of
them.

Speaker 5 (47:53):
He went over after right this is the third year, I
think.
They all signed three-yearcontracts not sure anybody knows
his third year.

Speaker 4 (48:05):
Maybe they just know something.
He's pretty tight with a littleTrumpy there.
Well, he doesn't need.

Speaker 5 (48:13):
I don't think he needs Liv anymore.
He probably doesn't.

Speaker 4 (48:18):
What I'm saying is, with all these talks, that maybe
he's privy to some of this info, that maybe he knows something,
maybe the Liv and the PGA Tourare going to merge Instead of
saying that the tours are goingto merge.
You're just going to say he'snot going to re-sign with Liv.
Who knows?

Speaker 5 (48:34):
Yeah, but that's me saying I know a guy at Sand
Valley, but until I get the teetime it's not guaranteed.

Speaker 4 (48:41):
Yeah, until I get the tee time.
Like it's not guaranteed.
So yeah, I mean yeah Untiluntil actual shit comes out.
It's just all rumors.

Speaker 1 (48:49):
It's just fun to talk about.
I, I, I think it could, if itis true and he does not go back
and he re, you know, applies forPGA tour status and he comes
back, Based on the two events ofLive that I have watched since

(49:10):
the new season started.
They are putting a lot of theircards on Bryson's table.

Speaker 5 (49:19):
Bryson's the biggest name in golf currently.
No doubt about that.
Are you covering all aspects ofgolf?
Yeah well, bryson's the biggestname in golf currently, like no
doubt about that, right are youcovering, like all aspects of
golf?
Not just yeah, yeah, yeah yeah,I mean he's.

Speaker 1 (49:29):
He's like the most popular name.
That's not scotty scheffler, asfar as you know.

Speaker 5 (49:36):
Uh, professional players go so yeah, I don't know
, man.
I mean I I think bryson is oneto like, really appreciate the
historical significance of golf.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
So, um, I don't know if he did though I think he does
, but I think I think does, forhim was a gateway to do exactly.

Speaker 5 (50:01):
maybe it was like a jump off, point Jump off point
Comes back 300 million.

Speaker 4 (50:09):
He wants those world golf rankings.

Speaker 1 (50:11):
He does you guys are upset about that man, they are.
I think that's going to be thedownfall.
They're going to throw it allback on Norman and said we were
promised, and you know, I wonderif they can.
You know, hey, you guys are,you know, voided your contract.
Uh, you, you didn't hold upyour end of the bargain, but I

(50:33):
doubt that was in the contracts, because there's no way they
were going to be able to getworld ranking points.
It just was never gonna happenyeah yeah no, I think bryson is.

Speaker 5 (50:43):
He's currently like his own brand.
He doesn't need, he doesn'tneed pga, he doesn't need live,
like he'll be totally fine withjust youtube and uh, doing what
he's doing.
So it'll be interesting what hedoes, because I feel like
bryson is currently moving theneedle, which is so interesting,
because so many people hatedhim.
What three, four years ago Ididn't like bryce, I didn moving
the needle, which is sointeresting because so many
people hated him.
What three, four years ago Ididn't like bryce, I didn't.

(51:06):
I mean like I like bryson andthen I like, felt like I didn't
like him and then like it wasthe bryce he got he got like a
marketing team and he re-imagedhimself.
Like I was like rooting for himat Pinehurst, which was so weird
, like because I didn't like hima year before that and I was
like I don't know.

(51:27):
He's become way more likablethan he was four or five years
ago whatever that was, I can'teven remember, but he's become
way more likable.
Any thoughts on?

Speaker 4 (51:41):
Brooksie being at TGL tonight?
That was surprising, likable.
Any thoughts on Berksy being atTGL tonight?
That was surprising.
Do you think it's anything morethan him just living there?
Maybe he just wanted to see thebuddies again?

Speaker 5 (51:54):
He lives close by.
Yeah, they all love TGL.

Speaker 1 (51:59):
So does DJ.
You think DJ's going to be seenthere.

Speaker 2 (52:03):
I don't think he cares.
He probably doesn't even knowit's on he's probably fishing
night fishing.
He's the one guy that I thinkwouldn't come back and play golf
if the murder happens.

Speaker 5 (52:14):
Yeah, he would just be gone.

Speaker 2 (52:16):
For sure I could see a team, though, because they've
been talking about more teamsfor TGL, right.
I thought I heard something.
I could see a couple liveplayers coming in oh yeah heard
of Vegas expansion team.

Speaker 5 (52:35):
I've heard through the rumors.

Speaker 1 (52:38):
I would like them to build a SoFi Center West and
have an East Coast match and aWest Coast match, but they've
got guys flying cross-countryall over the place when they
don't need to be, and so we'llsee.

Speaker 5 (52:54):
They fly fucking across country all the time,
anyway, I know but an extra tripis.

Speaker 1 (53:00):
I should turn to Thomas and Mac and do a fucking
tgl arena yeah, the cox pavilionyou'll get more people in there
for a rebel game right now, jesus yeah, there could be a cox
pavilion, joe, because uh weare actually looking for a new?

Speaker 4 (53:14):
uh, we are looking for a new sponsor.
Cox is no longer going to bethe sponsor so far william shout
out so much maybe I shouldn'tsay that out loud, dirty, rotten
rumor going around right nowthe Aloha kitchen pavilion

(53:34):
coming soon.
Roberto's arena the angrychicks court.
We need Roberto's arena, theangry chicks court.

Speaker 1 (53:44):
We need Roberto's, we need the Roberto's arena.
Joe, how's that sponsorshipgoing?

Speaker 5 (53:53):
I'm like every day waking up waiting for that email
.
No, I haven't been trying,because I haven't been able to
eat any bean and cheeses.
I did sneak out for a bean andcheese burrito the other day
after like two months.
It was good.
Yeah, I haven't been divingdeep into that.
The Mexican flavors, as of late.

(54:14):
It's all flat irons, ribeyes, chicken breasts and veggies in
solidarity In solidarity.

Speaker 1 (54:28):
Sounds familiar.
Hey, I do like that.
Cafe Rio now has their salad.
You can get them in a bowl andyou don't have to have that
big-ass tortilla.

Speaker 4 (54:36):
That's so fucking good Tortillas are the best
there because they make them allfresh.

Speaker 1 (54:44):
They are good.

Speaker 4 (54:44):
Now they do it in a bowl, so I can sit there and eat
like 20 of those fucking things, oh my god they're so good,
roll them up yeah, I'll justmake like a tortilla burrito
just roll up like four tortillasright over each other I eat all
the lettuce and then I justhave a burrito afterwards yo,
the best thing is is you get itlike a handmade tortilla.

Speaker 5 (55:07):
You throw some butter on it and cinnamon sugar, roll
that shit up, boom yep boom it'sfire, bro.

Speaker 4 (55:21):
ah, all right of it.
Anyway, go ahead Sorry.

Speaker 1 (55:23):
I brought this up at the beginning.
Uh, the the lab video is stilltaking off.
There's still people commentingon it daily.
It's hilarious.
I didn't look at it for likethree or four days just cause I
was like there's so many moronson there.
But I went back in the otherday like fun and so I started

(55:43):
commenting again.
And now it's, it's, it's takingoff again, so stoke the fire a
little bit on it to have somemore fun with some people.
But uh, yeah, it's, it's prettyhilarious.
So, uh, if you if you haven'tchecked that out, please go
watch it.
It's pretty funny, it's, it'sall in good fun and there's way
too many people taking shit waytoo serious.

Speaker 2 (55:55):
So, yeah, you got copycats now oh my god, you're a
sensation yeah, so which brandare you going to attack next?

Speaker 5 (56:03):
Yeah, Angry old man you.

Speaker 1 (56:06):
Let's see what's an up-and-coming company that I can
just take on, because that's mymotive, you know, destroying
the little man Claw glove.

Speaker 5 (56:15):
You want to take down the claw glove?

Speaker 1 (56:17):
No RevClaw.

Speaker 4 (56:19):
I think you need to go after Tacoma.

Speaker 1 (56:22):
There we go.

Speaker 2 (56:23):
Yeah, that's what we'll do.
The anti-influencer influencer.

Speaker 4 (56:27):
Yeah, go after the influencer golf brand.

Speaker 5 (56:32):
That's too funny.
My golf fluence.

Speaker 2 (56:35):
No, it's.

Speaker 1 (56:37):
What cracked me up is so many people like, oh, you do
care, because you cared enoughto set up your camera and edit
it and and add captions and postit and comment, and I'm like,
dude, it was like 17 seconds andit wasn't like scripted, I just
grabbed my butter and you knowso.
Then now you get it in yourhead like oh, shit, uh, my

(57:00):
content, it has to be better, you know.
Then I'm like no, fuck, no, itdoes, I don't care.
But do I care?
No, well, and then as I'm like,oh, I got an idea, like no,
stop, no, I don't have an ideafor a video, I'm just gonna just
whatever comes my funny, because it like it probably
fills you with like, oh, I canactually do that, I can, I can

(57:21):
be out there and I can.

Speaker 5 (57:23):
I.

Speaker 1 (57:23):
You know, it's gotta be tough it's like a drug man,
it's, it's wild, because I meanI've had videos do okay, not
great but I've never hadsomething like this go that
crazy.
And uh, I mean it's like I Iwas saying to you guys, I I
don't know how people that getthat many views like that don't
have a social media team, likehandle that on a daily basis.

(57:46):
I could totally see how peoplecan get completely obsessed and
like like, oh my God, I have topost and I have to get this out
there.
I had you know.
It's like wow.

Speaker 5 (57:57):
But that's the thing I saw.
I saw a Monterey golf guy.
He did a podcast with someone Iforget who it was, but he's
like you know, like I couldspend hours on a video thinking
it's the greatest thing I'veever created.
You know, like, and it justflops.
It's just like, if that's whatyou do, it's like living like

(58:26):
that right.
It's like you're just liketrying to figure out what's
going on next.
What like what?
What can I come up with?
You know, you're just, and it'slike.
It's like writing music, bro.
It's like you know.
It's like I need a new hit.
I need a new hit, I need, I needa number one song yeah, yeah
it's got to be a tough way tolive, man, but you know you just
keep.
You keep doing what's relevantand what hits home to you and

(58:47):
what you like, I mean, and thenyou can't nobody could take that
away from you, because it'swhat you represent.
You got to be truthful toyourself and you were completely
like that's you.
That was you 100, which wasgreat, and it resonated with a
lot of people.

Speaker 1 (59:06):
That's what's great about it yeah, it's so much fun,
and I mean it's.
I would love to be able to havethat type of interaction, but
not such the negativity.
I mean I, I, I love chattingwith people.
I love talking with people likeI, the beginning, when, when
Elliot reached out to me todayand talked, it was, it was
awesome.
I, I, I crave that side of it.

(59:27):
I could care less about the, the, the likes and the shares
and the followers and all thatstuff.
I, I, I want the engagement, Iwant the interaction, I want to
hear what people have to say.
You know, and I want to sharethoughts and, and you know,
educate myself.
I learn things from people, youknow.
It's uh, as many of thosepeople that have commented

(59:47):
saying I don't know shit.
Yes, there are some things Iabsolutely have no clue on, but
there are some things that I doknow, actually, what the fuck
I'm talking about.

Speaker 5 (59:54):
So um, just need that engagement on the podcast.
Fuck lab.
I'm kidding, if you're, ifyou're a lab fan, come listen.
No, and that's that's the thing.
Nobody ever understood thatwhole post, like nobody ever

(01:00:16):
understood that you are aproponent of playing what works
for you, doesn't matter what itlooks like, doesn't matter what
it is, play what works for you, that's yeah, that's all it was
and I and I was searching.

Speaker 1 (01:00:30):
I guess I was scrolling through some of my old
videos.
You know, I had the, the thattaylor made um adjustable mallet
that had the different wing, the wings on it, the gt max.
I was playing that before thefirst jailbird that I got, and
then the Scotty, and then theOdyssey, and then now the jail.
It's like I was searching too.
It happens, you know.
But like going back to the golfcoach, everybody's going to go

(01:00:54):
through 16 different thingsbefore they figure out.
Fuck, maybe I should hire acoach and figure out what's
going on.
So I wouldn't again encourageanybody that wants to get better
at putting.
Don't flirt with putters, don'tflirt with grips, don't flip or
strokes.

Speaker 5 (01:01:10):
Find a coach go get a lesson, I will say.
After the sienna round I waslike, literally in my head, it
popped in my head.
I was like maybe I need aballot.
I suck, but at the end of theday I don't play as much as.

Speaker 4 (01:01:25):
I used to Two IPAs.
Later that idea went flying outthe window, John.

Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
Joe's looking over going.
Hmm.

Speaker 5 (01:01:35):
Yeah, I was like mallet putter.
No, I'd rather knit my ownblade cover.
I'd rather learn knitting toknit my own cover for my mallet.

Speaker 1 (01:01:46):
Or no.
My blade Then play mallet.
What you're going to do one dayis just secretly swap out your
putter without you knowing, andthen you get to the first hole
and you have to play a malletthe whole round.

Speaker 5 (01:01:59):
I would see the shadow off the bat, you'd see
the shadow.

Speaker 1 (01:02:06):
It's like a fucking like batman, it's like an
eclipse over your clubs.
Yeah nope, that doesn't lookright don't put it in the bag
and it won't go in.
Yeah, what is that?

Speaker 5 (01:02:16):
super stroke, grip this fat ass.

Speaker 2 (01:02:18):
Super stroke, grip you have to wear a paper bag
over your head while you'reputting it too funny, hey, but
if it works for you, it worksfor you.

Speaker 5 (01:02:27):
That's the thing.
I don't like it.
You can like it, it is what itis.
We're so fucking unique just asgolf courses are, just as golf
swings are, just as clubs are, just as lies and you know
bounces are, you knoweverybody's so unique.
Do what works for you.

(01:02:47):
At the end of the day, I willalways be a proponent for that.
If it works for you, fuckingrock that shit rock it 100.

Speaker 1 (01:02:57):
All right, joe, wrap it up.
We're done this week.

Speaker 5 (01:03:03):
Bring it home, let's get out of here that would have
been a really cool wrap up, butlet me just finish it no, it's
cool.
No, it's cool.
Do what works for you.
If you wake up at 6 am, youwake up at fucking 12 pm,
whatever works for yourlifestyle, just as golf clubs do

(01:03:24):
that shit rock it.
We're here every single weekfor you because it works for us
and we work for you.
Keep listening to this chasingdaylight podcast because we
ain't going nowhere.
Uh, sand valley, hit us up.
We're in the queue.
We want to play look at that 26.
You guys that don't bang yourankles with your clubs when you
get out of a bunker no, anklebangers always fucking me up at

(01:03:48):
the end of the day.
Don't get black and blue.
