Everybody Chasing DaylightPodcast, episode 316.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Smoothie with cream cheese on your bagel.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
A bean and cheese burrito.
It's Roberto's day.
What's up, everybody, welcome.
Welcome to another episode ofthe chasing daylight podcast.
Uh man, what a what a weirdweekend we had here in vegas

(00:57):
absolutely beautiful skies, beautiful weather, and then the
wind decided to come in and fuckit all up.
So yeah, it was a little wildout there on Sunday.
Saturday was beautiful.
Julie and I had some funfitting some people at Dragon
Ridge, rio Seco and the Summit.

(01:17):
Joe's doing the robot.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Shappelle show, shappelle, show, chappelle, show
he's doing the Chappelle robot.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
How are y'all doing this evening Very?

Speaker 4 (01:34):
well, we're good.
Yeah we're good, doing good.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Doing good.
Oh, oh oh.
No more ducks, no more ducks.
So a little bit going on in thegolf world, we'll get to some
things.
You know Tiger's not going tomake the TGL playoffs and he's
not playing in the Arnold PalmerBig signature event this
weekend at Bay Hill.
Tgl was on.

(01:57):
Tiger again was mishittingirons over the green.
Yeah, not a good look for him.
Uh, we got maddie g coming uplater with the forecast because
we have a vgn event this weekendout at boulder city municipal
golf course or boulder city golfcourse yeah, jake.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
I don't know if you guys saw that little video, jake
, because he's tied in withdrive box and uh bay club and he
he posted a little video wherehe was like we're gonna play the
holes, we're gonna play acouple tgl holes, the the
simulator runs a little hot, soI'm gonna try and hold back a
little bit.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
So interesting yeah maybe they need to use a softer
compression golf ball.
Maybe they need to use a softercompression golf ball.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Yeah, they need to recalculate their formulas and
get it better get it right getit right no

Speaker 1 (02:56):
uh, let's see we got some comments coming in already.
Sup mo foes, that was me.
Yeah, we know, juju.
Uh, thanks everybody for tuningin and if you're on instagram,
thank you so much.
If you're on youtube, you knowyou get to see little comments
like this when you, when youcomment, we'll throw you up on
the screen.
We're also live on x right now.

(03:17):
Uh, maybe everybody I don'tknow is.
Is uh trump still talking?
it was, he was, uh, he was goingon for a while, um, so I don't
know if he's still talking ornot, but uh, that was kind of a
weird thing going on, with himaddressing, uh, the nation and

(03:37):
nobody on the, uh, left side ofthe aisle, I think.
I don't even think they wantedto be there, tell you the truth.
So it was, it was a littlelittle odd, so, um, so let's see
where.
Where shall we start?
One of the topics I want to getto tonight and and we can
either lead off with this or weget into it later um, some of

(03:58):
the other things tonight uh,bryson and brooksie, and we have
a new event on the schedule forthe VGN that was locked in
today, so we'll get to that.
But the thing that is a hottopic for us and a lot of people
that live in towns that have alot of touristy golf, golf is

(04:18):
full, it's full and it'sstarting.
You know, we blame covid for along time and I mean, there's
still covid.
Golf golfers uh, jeremy had anexperience with one at revere,
uh, that, uh, you know, walkedinto the, the, the doors at
revere with his bag on hisshoulder and was knocking shit

(04:41):
off shelves, and you know, justah it's yeah, um, so you know
the the, the prices right noware insane.
Uh, we got uh another quote.
We're trying to fill an eventat the end of september and it's
tough because the courses outhere are overseeding that time

(05:03):
of the year that oversee.
The courses that oversee areoverseeding that's of the year
that oversee, the courses thatoverseed are overseeding.
That's why we go to coyotesprings each year, because they
don't oversee.
So trying to find anotherfacility to host an event in
september is kind of difficult.
But we're trying to pack in asmany events during the nice
weather as we can to avoidhaving excessive events when
it's crazy hot out.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
Look, there's just too many fucking people playing
golf right now.
There's too many people yeah,that's why we're number 3 000 on
uh sand valley's waitlist toplay yeah, did that change at
all?

Speaker 1 (05:37):
I haven't looked, but I haven't looked in a couple of
days it's like we're 3200.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
I mean, wow, it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Yeah, so, um, you know.
So we re, we reached out andand just for, I mean, I was
appalled at the price that cameback.
Um, and you know I'll, I'll bekind enough to not mention the
course, cause I don't wantanybody bashing.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
I'll say it anybody bashing, I'll say it.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
I'll say it, tell them, joe um, but it was, it was
just ridiculous, it was it wasway too much money for a
tournament round.
Uh, you know, because we haveyou gotta throw the purse money
in there and you gotta throw thecredit card fees in there, you
know, and it it ends up puttingputting it over 200 for a round
of golf, for a tournament, andyou know, and I just, I just

(06:26):
couldn't do it.
So, uh, but like everywhereright now, prices are insane,
man.
Uh, coyote springs rates whichyou know it used to be.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
You know it used to be a good deal.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Yeah, it's up now um, the local, the, the good great
out at piute is super high rightnow.
Um, and you know, desert pinesis not gonna be around forever.
That's another course that'sgoing away and you know there's
only the rest of the courses, yeah there's only three months

(07:00):
left of bears best before itgoes private, and so you know
we're losing holes every month.
It seems like more.
It's going on and the golfcourses right now are, and I
mean it's a business so I get it, but they're all going shit.
Let's just keep seeing how muchwe can get you know, we'll just

(07:23):
keep jacking it up until peopledon't pay it.
Rango hills is still there.
Thanks, maddie void.
Yeah, I think it would.
I thought it would stop by now.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
You know like it's.
It's.
It's crazy how long this haslasted.
Um, it's expensive.
And when I tell people I'mplaying golf, they like you know
I play every weekend or I don'tplay every weekend anymore.
But you know, like my, my salesknow I play every weekend or I
don't play every weekend anymore.
But you know, like my, my salesmanager at work is like, oh, I
don't have the money to do that.
And thankfully we, you know, have intertwined ourselves into

(07:54):
the community and we, we canplay for a little bit cheaper
than people are paying, you know.
So we get a little, we get alittle discount here and there,
not all the time, but when we do, you know it's appreciated.
And uh, it's expensive.
Man, it's just like my topalways was 80 dollars, like you

(08:15):
know, yeah, that was likestretching, you know?

Speaker 1 (08:19):
now, that's where you got to start yeah, exactly
that's where you start jc vegas11 on instagram so that was just
in arizona and every coursethere was over 100 bucks and
they're charging, and they'recharging water too.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
They're charging people for water there now the
thing about arizona is it'ssuper like uh, time of year,
specific, like if if you werethere in summer it'd probably be
60 80 bucks because peopledon't like to play in the heat.
So yeah, because people don'tlike to play in the heat.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Yeah, but people don't like to play in the heat
here either, and the prices arestill jacked up.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Well, we haven't seen the prices here this year yet,
when it's super hot.
But Arizona is dependent on thegolf courses.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Arizona has a lot more golf courses than us too,
though I mean and they don'thave that much, many more people
.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
They used to have way more people than us, but we're
catching.
But arizona is a fair weatherlike destination, like all those
people from northeast arecoming down to phoenix and
playing, so they're getting thehigh prices, but when summer is
in full effect and it's 120degrees, they're going to be up
there playing.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Uh, marion and yeah cricket club I mean there's
still, there's still five, fourand a half five million people
in the phoenix valley, so it'snot like it's only transient.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Yeah, but I mean most of them aren't going to be
sweating it out at 120 degrees, you know so it'll be cheaper in
the summer.
Cheaper in the summer than itis right now is what I'm saying.
It's definitely cheaper in thesummer in arizona than it is
right now oh yeah, of courseit's cheaper here too, but it's
not.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
It's not like what it used to be miles, asked what we
charged for the piute event for36 holes it was like it was 350
right, 350 I think, because Igot the I had the flyer over
there it was $350, but that alsogot you some raffle tickets, a
lot of amazing giveaways, a tonof shit that we were giving away

(10:11):
Good walk coffee.
The swag bag was over $300value.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
As an out-of-towner, currently you cannot play two
rounds at Paiute for less than$250.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
Maybe $500.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
Yeah, I think it's $240.
I think it's $240 as anout-of-towner.
Crazy Golf is full.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
It's full.
I'm wondering what's it goingto max out at?
How much more is it going to gobefore?
People are like, okay, Becauseit used to be, golf was an
exclusive sport only for therich and wealthy people.

(11:04):
And then there was this bigpush include everybody, Make it
inclusive.
Everybody can play golf.
It doesn't matter rich, poor,no clubs, jeans, Just come on
and play golf.
Now everybody is playing somuch that there's one.
There's no times that it's youknow, there's one, there's no
times.

(11:40):
All these destination places.
Robbie sent me a great tweet onX about somebody that was
saying you know, the destinationresorts are all going to these
lotteries and it's impossible toget tea times.
And you got to look two and ahalf years out to go to a place
that you, that not, that's notinclusive, that's that's
exclusive.
You know you have to be lucky, you know it's.
It's easier right now it seemsto win the lottery, to go to the
gut, to go to the masters, thanit is to get a tee time at sand
valley.
It's just crazy yeah, I think.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
I think the main thing is golf has become cool.
It's not like golf has becomeinclusive, golf has become cool.
I mean, that's what we'relooking at, am I?

Speaker 1 (12:17):
wrong.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
Golf is now cool.
It's not the stuffy old mansport anymore.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
It's.
Golf is now cool, yeah, but youlook at the, the people that
are going to these destinationresorts, that get the times,
that have the money to do it.
It's not us, it's not joeaverage golfer, it's people that
have money, like the bannonhouse.
You know that's yeah that's,that's money uh getting to go to
, uh you know, all thesepristine prime destination

(12:51):
places yeah, but it's cool to goto those places now.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
It never was cool before.
Now it's cool to go to thoseplaces.
It's cool to travel for golf.
It's cool to play golf.
That's the thing.
Golf has become cool, yeah it'sdefinitely.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
It's definitely in high demand and it's kind of at
this point, it doesn't evenmatter if it's like a resort
golf or public golf.
Like you're good, you're notgoing to get a tee time anywhere
no it's, it's, it's tough toget it abandoned.
And I mean, let's face it, youcan play bandon year round.
But let's face it, the fourmonths, you know that's the

(13:27):
prime months, those are going togo out first.
Same with sand valley.
You know, like you're not, youget six months of play, maybe if
you're lucky.
And when you have such sick, sick resorts like that, with
awesome golf courses and golfbeing in such demand as it is,
you know they're gonna, they'regonna max out.
They're like, yeah, we're beopen for six months but we're
going to make a year's worth ofmoney because we know the

(13:48):
product that we got and thesepeople are going to pay it hand
over fist because they knowwhat's there at sand Valley.
So you know if, if you havemoney and you're, you can have a
group of guys and you can go,right now these people are just,
you know they're selling outquick and it sucks because,
you're right, it's not for theaverage Joe.
But you know just, golf's justin high demand and, joe, I agree

(14:09):
with you, golf is cool becausenow you see like literally
everybody, everybody playing itBasketball players, baseball
players, hockey players, celebrities, people you would
never even think of.
You know everybody's golfing.
You know it's literally for allwalks of you know they're
everybody's golfing.
You know it's literally for allwalks of life now.
So it's cool.
You know it's riding a big wave.

(14:30):
You just gotta jump.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
You gotta jump in when you get a time and go I was
chatting with my wife, uh,about how landman sells out all
their t-times in a day for theyear, and she was like what,
what are you talking about?
And I said, yeah, that's,that's what's going on, that she
goes, so she goes, so all theirtea times for the entire year

(14:56):
they sell in january and it'sgone, say yep, and I.
And that's happening all overthe place.
And and lottery says she wasshocked, absolutely shocked.
So I don't even know if, like, everybody is aware that that
type of stuff is going on.

(15:17):
I, you know, we're, we're kindof a weird group, cause, you
know, we're golf lunatics, we'renuts, we, we like to travel and
go to these places and do it.
So it hits home for us.
But I mean, how many people doyou think if you ask at the
range at National on a Tuesdayafternoon, how many people do
you think would know thatthere's a lottery system, get

(15:39):
tee times for Bandon, or there'sa six-hour window to get
Landman tickets in January forAugust.
That's the thing abandoned.
Or there's, you know, asix-hour window to get landman
tickets in january for august?

Speaker 3 (15:47):
that's the thing I think for us, like we're sickos,
right, you know, and um it's.
It's like we've I meanpersonally, right, like.
So back in the day I was intolike underground hip-hop and I
never wanted to share thesecrets.
I mean, obviously I've gottenolder and like I'll share my
knowledge with anyone, but theaverage person doesn't know

(16:08):
what's out there, right, likethey don't understand architects
or clubs or Don White ornational customs or land man,
right, they see sawgrass pebble, they see all these things right
, and what sucks is like us thatreally love the game and
respect it for what it is andhave always understood that it's

(16:32):
cool and it's cool because of x.
We got all these people comingin that don't really understand
what what it is, and I feel likethat's where, like it's tough
for me, like I'm always, I'malways gonna welcome someone in
and spread my knowledge, rightand and conversate with them,
but like it's always hard whenthey don't understand what's

(16:54):
actually out there.
And if they're a true lover ofthe game, like I love that if
they really understand what'shappening.
But, but I forget where I wasgoing.
But yeah, the average person onthe range at Nationals is not
going to understand what thepotential of the game is and how
deep they can go.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
You know what I mean.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
Miles.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
They hear Landman on the range, they think you're
talking about the TV show.
Exactly, yeah, and I toldpeople we're going.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
They're like, oh, I haven't watched that show yet, I
want to you know, and it's justcrazy miles.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
That landman is only open for two times for five
months or so, including privateevents.
Banded 365, yeah, and bannonalso has, you know, five full
courses, two short courses, andyou know there's a lot to do
there.
So the demand that a lot ofpeople out there yeah, I mean,
can you imagine if Landman hadfour other courses there?

Speaker 3 (17:49):
so I mean, just a matter of time probably what I'm
saying is like a lot of respectto the people that have come
into the game since COVID, thathave really dived in and
understood what the game is,what it can be and where it can
take you yeah, I just want themall to quit go go play

(18:12):
pickleball.
Yeah, I mean I would love.
I would love a 25 twilightround.
Uh, that's not happeninganytime sooner anymore dude I
would be all over that right now.
I would love a non-lotterysystem at bandit you imagine 25
twilight round right now.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
that's, that's what people don't understand.
That used to be a thing.
Yeah, that used to be a thing.
You go play the horse for 20bucks after three or Revere was
that, you know.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
19 after three I used to play Chimera every weekend
for $25 at 1230.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Yeah, every weekend Gosh.
Yeah, you should probably findout like what those?
Rates are now just call andfind out hey, what's your
twilight rate on?

Speaker 3 (19:03):
saturday what's that?
I think it was 80, I think Ilooked earlier oh my god uh
triple for chimera yeah, becauseI was, uh, I was kid free on
saturday and I was like looking,I was like maybe I should just
go, and I was looking, I waslike, nope, wow, it was yeah
jeremy, do some digging, seewhat you can find well, nowadays

(19:27):
it's like you go to book a teatime for next weekend and the
only thing you know, yeahexactly yeah, there's nothing
there, or there's no twilight,it's just 2 50 pm.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
That's the same rate yeah it's crazy man, golf is
cool how?

Speaker 1 (19:43):
how long do you think it's gonna last?
How long do you think is milesof the recessions coming, which
we'll see?
But I mean, we're as crazy asgolf is right now.
I mean, we're seeing moreindoor simulators in vegas,
which I'm happy that that istaking place, because, ed, you

(20:07):
know, there was none, five, Ithink five iron there was a
place I was first right no, no,there was a place um over near,
like allegiant, in the in overthere.
There was an indoor place thereum that.
I went um long time ago and andsaw I can't remember what it's
called um, but it didn'tremember that, yeah, it didn't

(20:27):
stay open for very long, um, andthen I think that, that was
pretty much it um five five.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
Iron was the first to like actually do it in vegas
like yeah to to have a facility, you know.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
But uh, golf stop, you know, shout out, golf stop.
Uh, places like that arepopping up all over the place.
But uh, what's wild too andJeremy can attest to this
because he chatted us about itin a text message the retail
stores I mean.
Basically now in town here wehave Dick's, two Golf Galaxies,

(21:08):
a couple of Dick's PGASuperstore, a couple of
Dick'sicks and the Las VegasGolf Superstore.
For a town of you got a coupleof dicks.
We got a couple of dicks overhere.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
Several dicks out here.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
Several dicks out here.
It's Aloha Golf considered inthere.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, they are more training facility
but yeah, well, I think that'smore fitting and custom.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
Lessons.
I've never been in there so I'mnot sure, but also the thing
with affordable launch monitorstoo.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
That's a whole other thing too.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Yeah, but the retail stores are trash right now.
I mean you go in, they're empty, there's no employees.
God forbid you have a questionabout anything.
There's like the new releasesthat are on the rack.

(22:10):
The shoe selection is horrible, the clothes clothes.
I mean they have gutted so manyracks of clothing now it's.
It's crazy and you would think, with it booming, that the
retail places would be boomingas well.
It's just it's not.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
I think the superstore the las vegas golf
superstore, I think is thebusiest Golf Galaxy total goes
down.
Pga Store is semi-busy but Ithink the area is a good area
for it.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
Swing Point's a spot too, but that's appointment only
now with Jason, it's not.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
Shut up Swing Point.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
Great spot yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
But it's not a place you can just go hit.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
No, sorry, I mean yeah and it's just what jeremy's
saying is like.
It just goes to like the factthat you just order everything
online nowadays too I mean brickand mortar itself is almost
done, you know yeah that.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
But I'm just surprised, you know I'm, I, you
would think, with nobody havingany t times, the, the, the
courses are full, the golf isblowing up, uh, and the, the
retail spots, yeah, are, areterrible, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
Well, that's, that's another thing that goes down
that's another thing with golfbecoming cool.
Like the cool brands are nowonline brands, like whether, if
you think sunday swagger is coolor you think sugar loaf social
club is cool, like or quiet golfis cool, you're not going to
find that stuff in the storesanymore you're ordering that
stuff online.

(23:53):
Like, if, if, if you startplaying golf and you think nike
is the cool golf brand like whenI started, that's what I
thought, like I boughteverything nike and then if you
continue playing and you getreally deep into the culture,
you'll find these other brandsand they're not available in
these stores.

(24:14):
And maybe the stores need torealize, like they need to bring
some of this stuff in, likehitting greens, like bring some
hitting greens in there, that'sjust dope, you know what I mean
and like, and maybe that linemessage coming there maybe that,
maybe that's what's happeningwith the brick and mortars,
because people are leaving thetypical brands to.

(24:35):
I mean, think of I I'm not goingto say tacoma is the greatest
golf club brand in the world, but you're not going to find
that in any golf shop and that'sum fluent in the culture via
youtube and social media or likemakino or makino whatever it is
like the cool stuff is if youcan't find it and it's not

(25:00):
easily accessible.
So maybe that's why there'sghost towns happening well at
the las vegas golf superstore.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
They have a lot of clothing and a lot of it is very
expensive.
You know the the jl lindberghstuff is crazy expensive.
The win it all cost line isinsanely expensive.
Municipal golf is veryexpensive.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
There's a and you know they have a lot of that in
there, so I mean yeah, I wasgoing to touch on that too, just
the retail price for some ofthese polo companies now it's
ridiculous.
Yeah, it's ridiculous, you'repaying 75 to 100 for polo shirt
when you can fucking go on, youknow, on instagram and go to
like bird gang and get like twofor three special or three for

(25:44):
one special, whatever the hellit is, you know, for the same
price.
You know, it's just did.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
I'm a tj, max being right now, max being right now.
So I mean, it's just so mucheasier to pick.
You can get a peter millar polofor 30 bucks.
You know, that's 140 on theprice tag.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ag says they, they all comefrom china.
Yeah, they're.
I mean, they're basically allthe same and, um, I'm a
clearance rack superstar.
Straight to the clearance rack.
Yep, yep, we're not.
We're not in a fashion show.
We don't need to be current on.
You know what's happening ingolf, but we would like to, but
I'm not paying these prices andI know that they don't cost that

(26:27):
much for them to make.
They're making buku bucks rightnow.
Buku bucks.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
You can you can find some good deals on ebay still
man a lot of people over, sobrand new shirts for nothing hey
, rob, update your, your, yourphoto.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Man, come on, you can do better than an r uh black
mystery box 199 over 500 worthof apparel yeah, so you can do.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
You can find deals like that.
If you go to to a Black Cloverretail store, you're going to
get $500 for a fucking shirt anda hoodie.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
Yep, beds is chiming in, jumped in late.
I'm here to answer these costissues.
All right, anybody's got anyTravis Matthew questions and
Beds.
I'm still rocking the shoes.
They are amazing, so wear themevery day, every day and anybody
that thinks golf is tooexpensive.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
Like there's ways, ways around it.
Like there's companies that dodeals all the time and, uh, you
just get smarter as you go yep, gotta hop on those deals.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
Yep, gotta hop on those deals.
Deals are to be had, but but Ithink that's uh.

Speaker 3 (27:42):
You know, the online marketplace is a great way to
find brands that aren't known, that may not have a huge
following, that are offeringgood products for, you know, a
cheaper price I also thinkthat's one of those things where
that's come um in the past fewyears from covid is there's

(28:02):
brands that have created inniches where you can like you're
more, you can relate more tobrands.
Now it's not TaylorMade, nike, travis, matthew Jay Lindenberg,
it's companies creating aculture where you relate to more

(28:23):
in the aspect of their journey.
I feel more connected tocertain brands nowadays after
the boom.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
Do you think those brands are gonna last though?

Speaker 3 (28:38):
it depends on if the the people that are connected to
it last in the game, like youknow, like it, it just depends.
It depends what happens, likewhat.
What was that?
One brand Shit.
I got it right here.
What was it?
Euphoria, euphoria.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
Yeah, it was Euphoria , yeah, Euphoria.
Remember this brand.

Speaker 4 (29:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
I haven't seen them post shit and I was like real
connected to that brand.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
You can tell by the text on it.
Well, this is too small.

Speaker 3 (29:15):
No, this one was too small for me.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
If anybody wants this , maybe we can give it away as a
Chase the Live Podcast giveaway.
Hey, Jeremy, check their IG Seeif they're still around.

Speaker 3 (29:26):
Yeah, and I got a code for them.
Remember we were ordering a lotof shit.
I love their brand, but Ihaven't seen them post in a long
time.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
It's got something here.
It's the sourcing of materialsthat have driven costs Since
COVID freight.
Extra costs were eaten by thecompany, but now they have to
pass those along to the consumer.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
Rising costs.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
Yeah, tariffs, these off brands and bougie ones will
last.
The amount of people that buythe expensive stuff solely for
the status is crazy Okay.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
Miles said don't ever wear this shirt but it looks
like the Tom Selleck Magnum PR.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
I was going to say no so they do, they call this.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
They call this the Spicoli shirt, jeff Spicoli.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
That's why you got it .
No, you need to shaveeverything.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Shout out Jeff Spicoli.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
Get a Detroit Tigers hat and wear that to the golf
course Yep.
A big old, thick broom.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
It doesn't fit me.
I've never worn it.
It's like a medium, not nomedium.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
Just squeeze in there , bro.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
You can just do it for the gram man muscles do it
for the gram yeah, but that's Imean there's there's been a lot
of brands that have come andgone, I mean, and there's brands
that have done it right and um,I think it's a niche.
I mean, I think there's a lotof niche stuff going on.
There's there's the brands forthe guys that take fireball

(30:54):
shots every hole and there's thebrands for the guys that um are
on a hunt for um seth rayner, hidden gems, you know oh what
brand is that like?
I mean, I would say sugar loaf, but whatever like there's,
there's brands that fit youridentity in golf now and it's

(31:16):
like everybody's been put into amicrocosm.
So and certain brands will last, and I think I think the brands
like sugar loaf, who are theguys that are on hunts for
rainer courses, those will lastbecause they're going to be
delveved deep into the cultureof the game, and the guys that

(31:37):
are for a brand that takesfireball shots every hole, they
might find a fantasy footballleague that they, you know, they
might create a new leagueduring the summer and they might
disappear.

Speaker 4 (31:53):
So is there initials bb by chance?

Speaker 1 (31:58):
uh, I don't, I'm just speaking like metaphorically,
so I don't know okay uh, beds, when every buyer says a five to
five to ten dollar increase on apolo will stop sales.
I asked what their rate wasfive years ago.
That's 10 to 15 increase goes along way with the end customer
when it comes to retail.
Uh, do you guys think that'sgood for golf?
What?

(32:18):
What do we think what is goodfor golf?
Because we were.
We were yapping there for alittle while I think golf is
good for golf for people thatlove golf.

Speaker 4 (32:28):
I mean really it's.
There's just a lot more choicesnow for everything there's so
many golf brand, golf clubbrands.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
There's more clothing brands, everything and
everything there's way moreoptions now and I'm wondering if
that's one of the reasons whythe retail is just taking a hard
hit on that, because they don'tknow what they can bring in.
Like, do do we reach out tothis company and bring them in
and they find out, oh, they're asmall company, they can't do
that.
Okay, well, let's take a hit onthis person, we bring them in

(32:54):
and they find out, oh, they're asmall company, they can't do
that.
Okay, well, let's take a hit onthis person, we bring them in
and I mean it's, it's, I'm surethere's a lot of risk reward
going on for it for a notestablished entity in the space
well, that's what's interesting,right?

Speaker 3 (33:06):
that's why jc penny has died and macy's has died and
dillard's has died, don't go tothe mall.
Exactly Because there's brandsthat communicate directly to
their consumer and they don'thave to go to the store anymore,
and that's what's happening togolf currently.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
Do you think it's good for golf, the brands
reaching out to different typesof players?
Yeah, I think.
If I mean, if you findsomething that connects with you
and you, you know, want torepresent that on the golf
course, absolutely there'snothing wrong with that, I mean
ricky was wearing camo for god'ssakes yeah variety.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
Variety is the spice of life.
So, yeah, you know, yeah, especially if you are one of
these small companies trying tobreak through and you happen to
have one of your shirts likejust happens to go viral in a
bryson the shambo video, youknow something like that he
wears a shirt, then everybodygoes where the hell, what kind
of shirt is that?
And then the next thing, youknow three and a half million
followers of bryson's.
Now you got 150 extra thousandfollowers.

(34:10):
Looking at your shit, we'relike what is this?
you know, like have you seenthat happen lately um I'm trying
to think the last timesomething was crazy I'm not
necessarily looking for anythinglike that, but yeah, I mean, I
think the last time somethingactually kind of went a little
nuts, that I can recall doingsomething big like that, was, uh

(34:30):
, when trap golf came in.
Um, you know, you saw a couple,uh you saw a couple like wayno
drano, a couple guys on tourwearing trap golf stuff.
Next thing, you know, you knowroger steel hits it big and he's
got trap golf.
You know, representedrepresentation and it took off.
I mean I think it's quieteddown a little bit now trap golf

(34:50):
has.
But I mean, I I think itliterally boomed that brand and
it also indirectly boomed rogersteel too yeah you know, golf
has a weird way of doing that.

Speaker 4 (35:02):
You think of anything I mean I was gonna say tiger's
brand, but I haven't really seena lot of his stuff.
I mean, steven has.
I think those are the firstshoes I ever saw of the sunday
red.
I don't, I haven't really seena lot of his, but yeah, trap
golf I don't know the last, Idon't pay attention I just buy
travis matthew, that's all I'llsay.

(35:23):
The, the okay.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
So like I mean, we know how I feel about, we know
how I feel about malbon.
I think it's too expensive,right malbon's um?
I do one.
I do love Malbon, I love whatthey're doing.

Speaker 1 (35:35):
I love some of their looks.
They have some really uniquegood looks.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
It's very expensive for what it is and knowing what
clothes cost to curate andcreate, that's where I have a
hard time getting into it.
But the Jason Day move thatthey had is genius right.
So like the tape over themalabon, where you could still

(36:02):
see the malabon under like pgatour had to be in on that
because, like, that's genius,right?
Like you, you can't wear thisbecause you have to put tape
over it, but you can still seemalabbon under it.
That's marketing genius, if thatwas I'm surprised they haven't
come out with the malbon tapeshirt yet you know, but the the

(36:23):
thing where I think malbon goeswrong is there is a release
every single week.
If you know the story ofsupreme, there is limited stuff.
They do drop every whatever fewweeks, whatever I mean.
Actually supreme does do everyweek, but minimal styles, and I

(36:44):
think if malbon could just golike once a month drops, it'd be
bigger.
I mean, they're massive rightnow, but it's like oh oh,
another drop.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
Oh, another drop.

Speaker 3 (36:54):
They're killing it on the LPGA right now too, and if
you listen to Steven Malbon, heis targeted towards Korea
because it's different stylesover there and those players get
paid for their spots more intheir clothing deals and their
sponsorship deals.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
Than what they make on tour.

Speaker 3 (37:15):
Yeah yeah, it's crazy .

Speaker 1 (37:20):
Uh.
Luke judge said I'm notentirely sure I would use pga,
tour and genius in the samesentence.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
No, I mean I'm saying if, if that was the plan,
malbon would have curated thatand that would have been genius
yeah, oh, I I'm sure they knew100, that they weren't allowed
to wear that 100.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
They knew 100 they knew, and 100 they knew that
they were going to get toldabsolutely slow horses.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
If they're slow horses, they would have known
that the tape is somewhatsee-through on the pga tour.
I mean, if they, if they werethat deep into it, am I 100?
Slow horses, 100% Slow horses, they would have 100%, I mean
that's genius, both AG said.

Speaker 1 (38:05):
pretty sure swag just gains a bit of business because
of Taylor Montgomery and hisbright neon golf bag.

Speaker 5 (38:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
They're doing okay though.

Speaker 4 (38:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (38:16):
Matt is about to be my next profile pick for Insta.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
Oh, what are you talking about?

Speaker 1 (38:28):
I don't know what that means, eric, are we on
facebook again?
No no, no more facebook okay,no more facebook.

Speaker 3 (38:34):
No, it's funny, I mean, it's a.
This is a good discussion, because we're all we're all very
different in what we like ingolf clothing and things like
that what we consider cool andwhat we think fits our aesthetic
.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
I sent Cousin Club a message.
I go, I feel attacked on his G4post.

Speaker 3 (38:57):
Yeah, I will never wear G4 shoes ever again.
Why?

Speaker 2 (39:06):
Because I don't like them.
Okay, joe's got true in hisheart, that's it shout out true
linkswear.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
I mean not saying I won't wear another golf shoe,
I'm just, I don't like g4s andthat's.
That's the thing.

Speaker 1 (39:19):
That's the whole thing we're talking about is
like it doesn't fit me but, butif it's you you did, you did buy
them I did and I know it's notlike you didn't done.
You didn't, you didn't, itdidn't appeal to you.
You just didn't like them yeah.

Speaker 3 (39:39):
Yeah, so they fit my aesthetic, but they don't fit my
feel.
But so, why did?
You buy G4s.
I bought them and sold them toRob Chapman.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
Yeah, he sold them to Rob.

Speaker 4 (39:54):
Which ones were they the?

Speaker 3 (39:57):
trainers, the MG, oh, ok, yeah, I wore them abandoned
and they fucking chewed my footup and I was like goodbye.
That's all I wore at Bandon.

Speaker 1 (40:08):
Goodbye.

Speaker 3 (40:09):
Goodbye, you don't work at Bandon, goodbye.

Speaker 1 (40:16):
But that's the thing.

Speaker 3 (40:17):
You love them, so good for you, I mean.
And that's the whole thing withthe lab putters too.
It's like if it works for you,so good for you, I mean, and
that's the whole thing with thelab putters too.
It's like if it works for you,it works for you.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
Hey Luke, judd, great comment Callaway apparel for
the win.
Their chunky guidelines arebetter than anyone.
Yeah, I love the Callawayapparel and I'm not just saying
that because You're chunky.
I am chunky, yeah, but no, I've, like I said, going to
Nordstrom's Off-Rack and TJ Maxx.

(40:46):
They have a bunch of Callawayperformance apparel in there and
it's dirt cheap and I wasgetting it just so I could have
stuff to wear while doingfittings, and it is.
It is amazing.

Speaker 3 (40:59):
It might open up a can of worms Golf shoe fitting.

Speaker 1 (41:06):
I would pay for a shoe fitting, probably better
than the other purchases.
I mean, it makes sense to me,it matters, it matters.

Speaker 3 (41:18):
It matters for sure.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
Oh, he changed his picture too.
What a guy.
Uh, that's because you boughtthe wrong pair of g4s.
You need the g112s, 112s that'swhat I got.

Speaker 3 (41:27):
That's what I got.
I had those.
They're not for me I know I did.
I don't even know the model I.
They're gone from my memory.
If you like playing in g4s,then play them I I don't have to
like him uh, no, of course notplay what works.

Speaker 1 (41:45):
You see that rob wants to know why jeremy isn't
wearing.

Speaker 4 (41:48):
I'll get him a new callaway hat just I'll put a
tideless head cover on thatdriver when I get it uh be like
harry put his head cover on hisping driver

Speaker 1 (41:59):
I used used to be like very like titleist hat.

Speaker 4 (42:03):
But I'm just, I just don't care, I just, I'm so proud
, I'm very proud.
I like golf courses instead.
That's more of an achievement.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
That's funny because you were so brand.
Like you were so brand.
I was before and now you're sodifferent, you've, you've grown.

Speaker 4 (42:18):
I've really matured.

Speaker 1 (42:30):
It's different.
You've, you've grown, I'vereally matured.
It's a renaissance of jeremyjust curating a lifestyle on
your own.
I tell you the the diamondsdivision better look out because
, uh, jeremy hit some absolutebombs on set on sunday, like
holy, or is that?
What is it?
What do we play Sunday?
Sunday, yeah, sunday, oh mygoodness, did he hit some deep,
deep golf shots Like wow, nowyou were that driver.

Speaker 4 (42:52):
Like yeah, we did play off a box, but the thing,
that's the most impressive withthat driver, though, is how
forgiving it's, because I'vealways played a title list, a
Titleist I think I've had aTaylorMade for a couple months
and Titleist the Titleistdrivers I like.
They're just not known forforgiveness, but I just love the
look of them.
I know the feel, but I havenever actually been fitted for a

(43:15):
driver like that.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
And crazy how different it is, yeah, at and
crazy how different it is, yeah.
So, uh, jeremy, uh, when wefigured out what we needed to do
and then he started hitting it,I I was stunned with the
outcome, because you've alwaysplayed a low spinning head
typically right yeah, and thethe elite is not.

(43:43):
It's not designed to be a lowspinning head.
I mean it's, you know, it's,it's a regular driver, it's,
it's not the triple diamond, um,and so when we started dialing
into your numbers and seeing whyyour ball was doing what it was
doing, and then you get to, youknow, go from there and tweak
it, and we ended up at a 90degree head, a nine degree head

(44:04):
up to, so you're playing at 11loft and uh, with the, uh, the
cog in the back, uh, on the thefade or in the middle.
We had in the middle, yep, andoh my goodness, you were just
mashing it.
And it was so good to see acontrolled draw, not a loopy,

(44:27):
yeah, sweeping draw, it was thatwas even in fades, like little
fades.

Speaker 4 (44:32):
Dan, you're in for a treat, like when you see that
yeah I can't wait.

Speaker 3 (44:36):
Dude, he almost drove the green on.
What was that 11?
No 10.

Speaker 1 (44:40):
13.
12, 12, 13.
No, 12, 12.
Yeah, 12.
12,.

Speaker 3 (44:44):
yeah, he had the little dog leg and he missed it
and he didn't hit it well, likehe hit it After the bar five.
Oh yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 5 (44:53):
The dog leg.

Speaker 1 (44:53):
Yeah, he was on the upslope on the front apron.

Speaker 3 (44:57):
Jeremy, jeremy's becoming his any dude, yeah,
yeah.

Speaker 1 (45:01):
That's funny.
We're TV dorks too, by the way.

Speaker 4 (45:14):
That's been crazy man , I can't, I'm still like hey,
Jay Dilly, I will be there.

Speaker 1 (45:20):
You will see my face Go into Cali fitting.

Speaker 4 (45:25):
Oh, oh, that's right.
Yeah, revere, yeah, premierefriday I will be there.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
And yes, rob, uh, jeremy's fitting was elite j
dilly any relation to j dilla?

Speaker 2 (45:37):
I can't wait to be like 40 yards behind you now.

Speaker 4 (45:41):
No, I'll be maybe 10 yards short of you Instead of 30
or 40.
Jeremy was launching them, butthey go, so high man, like so
high, like borderline too high, but it's like gone.

Speaker 1 (45:58):
Gone, gone, I couldn't believe some of the
balls he hit.

Speaker 3 (46:00):
It was ridiculous Becoming a new man.

Speaker 1 (46:01):
It's like gone, that works for you.
Gone, yeah, gone.
I couldn't believe some of theballs he hit.

Speaker 3 (46:04):
It was ridiculous Becoming a new man, new man, new
man, new man.

Speaker 1 (46:11):
And that was my I played.
So we played Rio Saturday, friday, friday I think it was
Friday After work.
Friday we played, we got in 11holes at Rio and that was the
first time I played the Chrometour in a while.
Uh, I tried it a couple oftimes, just couldn't keep it in

(46:31):
the on the course and I hit nineout of nine fairways and for me
they were pretty deep.
I, you know I was hitting itreally really well.
And then I played it again onsunday at revere, in the wind,
and I, you know, I I do love thewilson golf ball but man, I am
getting significantly furthershots with the chrome tour,

(46:56):
which is disheartening becauseit's not as durable as the
Wilson.
The Wilson staff model coverjust lasts forever.
But I was really surprised athow much further I was hitting
that Chrome tour company man, company man.

Speaker 2 (47:14):
You know what, though ?
I will say this, matt, theMandela brothers when I was with
them in Texas not too long ago, they were Titleist guys and
they made the switch over toCallaway and they said the same
thing.
They got the main reason why weswitched, he's like because
this ball is amazing in the wind, so maybe I was surprised.

Speaker 1 (47:38):
I was surprised how well it was doing Miles.
We need a sleeper golf course.
Vegas bite episode.
No, there's no more sleepercourses in Vegas.
Just go somewhere else.
Go to Phoenix, go to St George.

Speaker 3 (47:57):
I was literally just typing.
I said sleeper courses in Vegasaren't a thing anymore because
all these damn fucking Instagrampages for bucket list golf
trips are giving away all oursecrets now and St George was
one of the greatest secrets ingolf and that's destroyed.
Which is fine.

(48:17):
I mean it'll come back.

Speaker 1 (48:20):
Oh, golf course, sleeper food.

Speaker 3 (48:23):
Oh, Julian and I.

Speaker 1 (48:24):
Which is fine, I mean it'll come back, but oh, golf
course, sleeper food lightepisode.
Oh, oh julian, julian and I,because every time we we work a
course roberto's we get, uh, weget burgers, so we have a burger
ranking going on matt, youstill got the double bacon
cheeseburger or the baconcheeseburger at.

Speaker 2 (48:41):
Uh, matt, you still got the double bacon
cheeseburger or the baconcheeseburger at Coyote Springs,
near the top.
No, I thought you had a baconcheeseburger there that you
liked.

Speaker 5 (48:50):
Oh, the Smashburger.
The Smashburger at Coyote isphenomenal.
That's what it is.

Speaker 1 (48:54):
Okay, let me see if I can find my list Burger ratings
.
So right now coming in at thenumber one spot is southern
highlands.
Their, their burger isincredible.
Uh, the burger at bear's bestwas shockingly good.
Um, red rock country club wasreally good.
The burger roads was reallygood.
Uh, las vegas country club wasokay.

(49:16):
And then highland falls.
Uh, right now is at six, butbut I would probably put the
Smashburger in the four spot.
I mean it's delicious, but ohmy God, that's so high burger.
We're working there Saturday.
I can't wait.

Speaker 2 (49:33):
We should do a best burger Vegas top 100 so we can
get rape doing that too.
Oh, went out so high today ohyeah, uh, caden for for reeney,
for reeney, is that his?

Speaker 1 (49:51):
name uh the unlv kid uh shot uh 6767 and he, uh wired
a winner for him, so congratsto that congrats to that.
Uh, you know, if shriners wasstill around he would have won a
sponsor's exemption in thetournament, but since we don't
have golf in fall for the PGATour anymore, he just gets a
really nice trophy and someserious accreditation, because

(50:14):
that was a stacked field.

Speaker 3 (50:17):
Good for him.

Speaker 1 (50:19):
Baba Booey, when I worked at Wynn, we were sold out
every day at eight hundreddollars.

Speaker 4 (50:22):
yep, that's insane, that's just I would never pay a
hundred for that.
How many tea times I win perday, you think?
Is it still like?
I mean they're not spacing themout every 10 minutes, but it's
got to be like a couple an hour,oh there's probably more than
that I don't know.

Speaker 3 (50:42):
I'm really curious to hear I'll have to hit up uh
barrels.
But he played win this week andhe played shadow and I was
talking to him about how, like, like wind's cool but shadow is a
different animal and, uh, Ihave to hit him up about that.

Speaker 1 (50:58):
I totally how do you get out there?
How do you knock?

Speaker 3 (51:00):
those out.
I don't know, he barrels is auh, he is one of the best
dressed people in golf and, uh,he knows people, so I don't, I
don't know, off to hit him up ah, well, you know we don't have
to.

Speaker 1 (51:15):
He's also a medium like.
He's a medium, so like oh,you've got a shirt for him yeah,
yeah, cause mediums are thelast one, so yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (51:24):
Or left, so I mean Tom Selleck signature series
gets all the cool shit, so allright.

Speaker 1 (51:32):
Hey, we got a couple of things.
Uh, let's get Maddie G in hereto talk about the weather for
this weekend's VGN event.

Speaker 5 (51:41):
What we talk about the weather for this weekend's
VGN event.
What's up everybody.
It's first-floor meteorologistMatt Gontaric back again with
another VGN forecast for thisupcoming Sunday's VGN tournament
at Boulder City Municipal.
Looking great Temperatures forthe morning hours at least,
starting off at 50.
If you have that early tee timeGoing, mostly sunny throughout
your Sunday Daytime highs around70 degrees, it'll be at least
in the upper 60s in Boulder Citywith some light winds.

(52:02):
So great forecast for the VGNtournament.
If you are playing on Sunday, good luck.

Speaker 1 (52:09):
Good weather in Boulder City.
Looking forward to it, can'twait, oh yeah.

Speaker 3 (52:15):
Yeah, looks like it's going to be a good weekend.

Speaker 1 (52:17):
Yeah, it's going to be a good weekend.

Speaker 3 (52:19):
It'll be my third weekend in a row playing golf
it's been.

Speaker 1 (52:23):
Oh my goodness hey, so I found something uh.
I was, you know, because we hada little issue at the last
tournament, uh with uh guys notunderstanding, uh what was going
on with the closest to the pinmarkers.
Uh, so I I scoured the pages ofebay and I found, uh, some
stamps, and so now I I'm gonnastamp the cards with the card

(52:49):
suite.
So you know which one you areso, yeah, just communicate that.

Speaker 3 (52:55):
Yeah, I know you will , but oh, yeah, through seven
emails, yeah exactly read yourdamn emails.

Speaker 1 (53:01):
People text on the way so your, your, your
scorecard will have your nameand you will have a stamp for
the flight you're in.
So just so there will be nomore confusion on that.
Hopefully, but never know.
And also everybody, if anybodyis listening, that is in the VGN
right now.
Do not forget daylight savingstarts at 2 am Saturday evening,

(53:27):
so you have to move your clocksforward.
You lose an hour of sleep.
Don't forget, and not show upon time, because it's this
weekend yes, already, fuck, that's crazy so we spring
forward yeah, we spring forward,we spring forward let's go yeah

(53:48):
, more

Speaker 4 (53:49):
golf fallback spring for fallback does that mean
people are going to show up atseven or nine?

Speaker 1 (53:55):
no, nine, because if they don't, set their clock
forward.
They would think it's eight, but it's actually nine.

Speaker 4 (54:03):
How many do you think that your phone should
automatically do it, but howmany do you think that that will
?

Speaker 1 (54:09):
Ooh, that should be.
That's a good bet.
That's a good way.
Yeah, how many people?
Miss the time Three three Okay, this is, I think, our first.
I'll have to look and see this.
I'm going to take the under onthat.
You're taking the under.
Okay, this is, I think, ourfirst.
I'll have to look and see.
I'm going to take the under onthat.
You're taking the under, okay,yeah.

Speaker 5 (54:24):
I'm going to go under too.

Speaker 2 (54:28):
Only because you know we're all adults, but you never
know.

Speaker 1 (54:33):
And lastly, write your damn scores in pencil, not
a marker.

Speaker 4 (54:36):
Does anyone use one of those alarm clocks that are
super obnoxious, that you haveto like slam the top of it to
turn it off?

Speaker 1 (54:44):
No.

Speaker 2 (54:44):
I have one that's just really loud my phone.
I use my phone.

Speaker 3 (54:48):
Yeah, it's so funny.
I mean, I used to live and dieby an alarm clock Now, it's all
phones.
It's a phone, it's crazy.
Your kids?
Old-ass motherfucker.

Speaker 1 (55:00):
Okay.
So we tried to book an event atthe end of september in
mountain falls, uh, but theydecided we don't want to, we
don't want you guys to come outhere again, um, because they
didn't respond to any of myemails or phone calls, uh.
So we were trying to find otherplaces in town, um, and I
reached out to our vg and boardchat and asked you know, do we

(55:21):
just scrap it or do we reach outto Wild Horse, rhodes, the
Ditch and try and put anotherevent in there?
Kind of came back, you know,50-50, scrap it, maybe find
another place.
We can go to Mesquite, butwe're already going to Coyote.
So I didn't know if that wouldbe too much.
And then Joe said hey's, let'sdo a skins game at angel park,

(55:44):
and uh, so there we go.
Uh, reached out to angel parktoday uh, now the original date
that we were going to do this onthey are, uh, closed for
overseeding, so they open backup on the 5th of october, which
is a sunday.

(56:04):
So we are going to do a sundayevening.
I think t times are going tostart between 6, 30 and 7.
We will be the last people onthe course and we are going to
have a skins game, so therewon't be any prize money in this
one.
So what the entry fee is iswhat the tee times will be and
then we'll collect side moneyfor skins.

(56:27):
But yeah, it's going to be a nonpoint event, it will be more of
a social outing.
But everybody, everybody, Ithink six, 40, I think I told
him 48.
Cause I didn't know ifeverybody was going to be able
to do it.
I know it's a Sunday, I knowit's football season, so we'll

(56:48):
have 48 people be able to comeout and play in beautiful
October weather under the lights.
It should be a fantastic time.
So I'm looking forward to that.
Hell yeah.
Six groups of eight and that'suh, oh um, did anybody watch

(57:11):
full swing?

Speaker 3 (57:14):
I've watched the first three episodes.

Speaker 1 (57:16):
I think me and katie, so far I fell asleep during the
first one.

Speaker 3 (57:22):
So, the thing is is like it's tough for us, right,
because we're we're sick of it.
So we know what happened.
So we want the, the behind thescenes, we want the, the things
that happened behind the curtain, and I think they, I think they
did a better job this seasonfor that aspect.

(57:46):
So I haven't finished it, but Ifelt like, if I remember
correctly, I feel like it wasbetter this year and that stuff
takes time to grow Like F1season.
You know, f1, would I don'teven I tried to watch that show,
but it's not that, it's not the, it's not the same.

(58:06):
But you know, I thought it was.
I I feel like it's good.
You know, get some behind thestory of, uh, scotty's prison
sentence and uh, things likethat but rory's divorce yeah,
well, they did mention some ofthat.
so it's like that Rory'sdivorced.
They did mention some of that.
That's what we want, because weknow what already happened.

(58:28):
We need the behind the curtainshit.
I think there's a little bitmore of it this season.

Speaker 1 (58:38):
We got, so good we got.
Keegan's wife is hot and fullswing was trash.

Speaker 2 (58:45):
So all right.

Speaker 3 (58:47):
Not for everybody, not for everybody Just like golf
brands and golf clothing andgolf courses, and then we're a
picky Pete.
We're picky people.

Speaker 1 (59:00):
Oh, greenly chiming in Full swing was boring.

Speaker 3 (59:02):
Well, he's been in the golf industry for how long?
What's it say on your VGN bio Amillion years.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (59:14):
All right.
So more talks about Koepka andBryson leaving live, and then I
heard ROM as well.
So if those three leave live,it's done right.
I mean, there's no coming backfrom it.

Speaker 4 (59:34):
DJ will ride his boat off in the sunset.

Speaker 1 (59:37):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (59:38):
The other guys will join the Champions Tour.

Speaker 2 (59:42):
We want Cam.
Smith back though too.
Yeah, we do want Cam Smith.

Speaker 3 (59:46):
He's really fun yeah man Cam Smith walking walking,
neiman come on back.

Speaker 1 (59:55):
He could have been like a legend right now.

Speaker 3 (01:00:00):
Luke said it was great when they highlighted up
and comers and unknowns and madethe uh usual pro robots feel
normal.
And I think that's I thinkthat's where it's gone is like,
even pga tour.
I mean, you know, where is cornfairy?
Where is it?
I haven't heard anything aboutcorn fairy in forever right

(01:00:24):
argentina.
Yeah, I, I know that I knowwhere they are, but like they're
, when's the last?

Speaker 5 (01:00:32):
time.

Speaker 3 (01:00:32):
I know you like a corn fairy thing like yeah, I
haven't seen that promotedanywhere.
You know, where are the futurestars of pro golf?

Speaker 1 (01:00:42):
they're on the pga tour right now well, where's the
future?

Speaker 2 (01:00:47):
for sure, they're on youtube.
Yeah, they're on youtube.
And why are they not?
Why?

Speaker 1 (01:00:54):
are they on the youtube?
They are on the youtube.

Speaker 3 (01:00:55):
Yeah, that's the thing, yeah yeah they are on
youtube, that's probably wherethey are youtube golf league
coming soon.
I just don't think there is afarming they haven't perfected
the farming system at thismoment like they need to be able
to farm, just like baseball, football, basketball, pga tour

(01:01:18):
is lost in the farming I mean, Istill think there's a ton of
mini tours and there's a ton ofyeah but where are they building
?
where are they building them up?
Where are they building them up?
There's no story, I think wejust don't hear you, but we just
don't hear about it.

Speaker 4 (01:01:33):
It's happening and it's there, we just don't hear
about it.
And then a bunch of new guysshow up on tour it's not as cool
as watching a youtube video,joe I?

Speaker 3 (01:01:43):
I mean I get it.
I mean I don't watch much golfyoutube, but I think they need
to do a better job at producingtheir stars.
Well, maybe that's wherethey're lacking they are
considered independentcontractors.

Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
So is it the pga's responsibility to grow those
players, or is it the player'sresponsibility to play well and
use that, that win, to helppromote themselves?

Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
well, what that sounds like is like the players
need to produce content to makethem known to the fans of golf,
and that sounds like youtubegolf.
So it sounds like we're gonnahave a youtube tour soon it's
coming.

Speaker 2 (01:02:26):
I did read.
I did read about a golf and agolf influencer league.
Um, really called people'speople's golf tour and I think
actually, uh, they asked glenn'sdaughter.
I think they asked glenn'sdaughter to be a part of it.

Speaker 1 (01:02:40):
Oh really that's how I seen it, yeah but they got
like they're going to be comingout of the.
All of them are going to becoming out of the woodworks with
stuff like that, trying tocapitalize on youtube fame they
all are trying it, so we'll see.

Speaker 2 (01:02:52):
We'll see what happens I mean the.

Speaker 1 (01:02:54):
The grant is going around and signing uh
influencers and youtube stars asambassadors yep, glenn keeps
sending me that.

Speaker 3 (01:03:02):
I told him I'm v'm VGN, stop sending it to me.
I got a couple videos too.
He said I was like I'm justpromoting my daughter.
I was like that's cool.

Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
Have her join the.

Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
VGN All right.
Well, if we ain't got anythingelse, which I don't think we do
no, anybody want to a?
