Speaker 3 (03:34):
Let's see 75%, 75%.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yeah, well, you know,
Jeremy.
Speaker 5 (03:41):
It's still.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
yeah, it might be a
hundred if we tell him to stamp
Scotty Cameron in it, then hemight do it.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
So just having him
throw a red dot on the back and
that's it let's see the veryfirst order for me for the LA
golf driver.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Have a customer
interested in it that arrives
tomorrow so I'll get some firsthand looks at that.
I'm excited to see that.
And then there's a new app andI want to give a shout out to uh
, the sweet spot, the JohnSherman.
Um, they had Ralph Bauer on whocreated the tour read app.
I'll put a link in the shownote amazing episode to listen
(04:23):
to if you're a golf nerd, but ifyou want to improve your green
reading which that's my issueUnbelievable, unbelievable what
this app does.
Julian and I tested it at Clubof Sunrise and Spanish Trail and
it is flawless.
I did it at Revere checkingbefore we went out.
(04:44):
It's so on the money and itwill really help you learn how
to read a green better.
So check that out.
And then we got the pga tour uh, signature event at the rbc
heritage stacked field becauseit's a signature event, limited
field.
Uh, gonna be some great golfover the weekend also the the r7
mini driver yeah, the r7 retrocame out.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
I wasn't I wasn't
around when that dropped, so I'm
curious uh, bj, it's calledchannel mates best drivers, yeah
uh, it's called the tour read, tour read.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
I'll, I'll uh put a
link in the show notes for that
as well, uh, but you can, yeah, yeah, just search Tour Read.
I'm pretty sure it's calledTour Read.
Let me make sure, yeah, tourRead.
If you have a problem withreading greens, it does cost and
it's not cheap.
But if you break it out for howmuch it costs a month to read
(05:42):
your greens and you learn how toread greens, totally worth it.
So let's see, we got a roarschant.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
Yes, yes shout out
roars.
He made me a fantastic putter.
I've been using it a long timeuh.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
So the masters,
jeremy, was kind enough to
invite us all over to uhchaotically disrupt his peaceful
abode for a while and, uh, whatwe loved it.
What a great time we hadabsolutely great.
Uh, one of jeremy's dogs wouldnot leave my lap.
It was hilarious.
Uh, we just sat there chilled, had some great food.
(06:19):
Uh, how about cat's dip?
Oh my god, was that?
Was that incredible, that wasgood yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
I know a lot of
people have asked for the recipe
.
I already bought the stuff toget it make it, so I'll be doing
that tomorrow, but it was agreat time.
It was great seeing everybodyhang out and watch the show.
If you don't do a Masters party, you've got to do it.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
Yeah, it's the thing.
Yeah, yeah, it's the thing.
I mean, like, if you don't do,if you're not watching the
masters final round with thehomies, I mean are you even
watching the masters?
Speaker 1 (06:53):
yeah oh yeah, do we
do?
We want to get into this yeahyes ups they will never they'll
never be a sponsor.
Maybe one year we'll find out.
Yeah, so we ordered the Taste ofthe Masters before it all sold
out and it was scheduled toarrive on Wednesday and it
(07:17):
didn't.
So I was following the trackingbecause I get a lot of stuff
shipped here and I have the UPSapp that anytime something comes
to my house it pops up with anotification.
So, yeah, it was packaged andready to go on Monday and on
Wednesday it still wasn't hereand I don't know if anybody
remembers, but last week it wasfucking hot in town and those
(07:40):
cold packs didn't make it.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
And yeah, UPS never
even put it on the truck to
bring it to us.
Pinchase Steelers, yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
So I went on a rant
with UPS and basically they told
me what I miss, miss joe, he'sa dork.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
Uh, bj's dealers, yes
, uh, yes you bjp steelers
stealer stole, it, they stole itsomebody had fun with our stuff
so your package is stocky.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
That's right it is.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
We didn't get it uh,
I, I talked to my driver and he
said it was never on the truck, that it was soggy and they just
took it and threw it right in agarbage can.
So that was a very nice of upsto ship a cold packed product.
Slow boat from China, yeah yeah.
Speaker 5 (08:47):
The food was still
good, though it wasn't master's
food.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
Yeah, no, I mean, it
was perfect.
It was still perfect, no more,no less.
Perfect.
It was a fantastic Master'sSunday, couldn't ask for
anything more.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
honestly, it was.
It was a good time.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
Thanks again, jay.
I could have gone with I.
I could have could have gonewith a 60 degree on the backyard
chipping green, but that that'sit I just need.
Speaker 5 (09:16):
There's no more 60s
on this property.
Actually no, trey did have a 60here that I gave him back.
Did he let me borrow?
But yeah, could he use that?
No it was fun.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Matt, you still with
us over there yeah he's, he's
deep into something I think he'shaving technical issues oh yes
wow earth to dad earth to dad myinternet only failed.
Speaker 5 (09:48):
What twice, three
times?
Speaker 4 (09:50):
Matt, if you're okay,
blink once.
If you're not, blink twice.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Oh, somebody, go to
Matt's house, we can hear you,
matty yeah, I mean, dude, there's nothing better than the
master's sunday, like it,there's.
It's the best yeah it is.
And yeah, you know, you, I meanlike watching it with your
(10:15):
homies.
I mean matt or dan was on thejameson hardcore.
He was, uh, he was rooting forrory and uh, I was rooting for
oberg.
But you know, I just wanted tosee the slam I.
I wanted to see the grand slamtoo, but I wanted to see him
like battle for it and early onhe did that's perfect behind
(10:39):
what, what, what.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
Hats off to rosie too
.
What a what a week.
I mean, like you said earlier,I think it was was.
I think it was you, joe, ormaybe it was Colby, who said
that Justin Rose has led thefirst round more than anybody
that was in the field.
Was that you, joe, or was thatColby?
I think it was Colbs.
Oh, but yeah, I mean for himjust to hang around, and then at
what is he?
(11:00):
44,.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
I think, to do what
he did on Sunday and shoot 66
and take Rory to a playoff.
Speaker 4 (11:06):
I mean, that was good
shit.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
I mean I was rooting
for a playoff all day.
I mean it was.
I love drama at Augusta, likeif there's no drama, like for
the winner, like on the secondnine, you know it's.
I don't like to see people runaway with it at Augusta.
Speaker 4 (11:24):
Yeah, that's my thing
, blow out Exactly.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
Yeah, I'm totally
happy with the the outcome of
the tournament.
I think Rory completelydeserves it.
I just, I just hate when Ihated it when he was like five
strokes ahead, like I don't wantto see that, I want to enjoy, I
want, I want to be on pins andneedles.
So August don't want to seethat, I want to enjoy, I want, I
(11:48):
want to be on pins and needles.
So, uh, augusta provided it.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
Once again, it was
the best, best master since 2019
in my opinion agreed 100 yeah, and you know, like they say, the
masters doesn't start until thethe second nine, you know, on
sunday.
So that's literally when ithappened, because he was up 10
or up five on 10 right, and then, before you know it, he's
walking off 18 type yeah, I mean, and and I would not.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
I thought it was
going to be bryson all day right
and oberg kind of challengedhim but like rosie kind of not
necessarily came out of nowherebut he was he was definitely a
long shot for the day.
Yeah, yeah and he was, he was.
He was two holes ahead of rory, but uh, rory's shot on um
(12:32):
fucking 13 13, 15 in the creekoh yeah, yeah oh yeah the pitch
shot.
That was crazy.
I did 86 yards.
86 yards, 40 yards left.
Speaker 5 (12:46):
There's 40 yards of
space left of the pin and he
went right of the pin, whichobviously happens.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
I mean literally.
What do you think he was doingthere?
Was he aiming at the pin, trying to draw it in?
Aiming at the creek, trying todraw it in?
Speaker 4 (13:01):
I think, I still
think he was trying to like hit
a good shot.
Maybe, like you know, five, tenfeet left of the flag because
these guys are pros, it's 86yards.
I just don't think he hit itright.
I just think that slope kind ofgot him and he just maybe toe
shanked one and it stayed out tothe right.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
So you think, the ego
got the best of him.
Like I want to.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
I want to drill this
and make eagle here um, I'm not
necessarily think it's an egothing, I think it's just more of
like a skill thing.
Like I said, you know he'sstill pretty good with a wedge
and from like what was it?
86 yards, 86, you know, yep, 86with a right to left slope.
He was probably looking alittle left, he, you know he
probably figured if anything itwould be.
(13:39):
You know, 10 feet, you know, beacceptable shot.
But but like I said, I think hejust toe shanked it and it came
out with nothing on it.
It went right in the fuckingwater.
But what a way to redeemhimself, though, on 15.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
What a shot.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
And 208, that
towering hook, holy shit.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
Dude, that shot was
very sick, but then he proceeded
to miss the putt.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
Yeah, I was going to
say Did he make the eagle or no?
Speaker 3 (14:07):
No, he made birdie,
but he was four or five feet.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
Yeah, he didn't make
a putt on the back.
He missed all the short putts.
Speaker 5 (14:15):
Yeah, he hit it low,
he was sick.
It seems like he was reallytentative on those short putts
because it was the same exactthing on 18 in regulation.
It was like I don't know.
Sometimes I think that's likethe same thing he did at the U S
open.
It was just I mean that was adifferent putt, super short and
with a lot of break, but it justseems like tentative putting
(14:35):
stroke like, not like the restof the putts he hits all day.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
Yeah, no, I mean he
made the putt on 17, which is
crucial to the moment.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
Yeah, but I think
you're right, jay.
I think maybe he had.
You know.
I mean, obviously I've neverhad the lead in the Masters, but
that's got to be a shit ton ofpressure.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
Oh, dude, yeah man,
he knows that half the crowd is
cheering for him.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
He knows the other
half of the crowd is hoping he
chokes, because that's eitherwhat it is.
There's no middle with Rory.
You either like him.
You know you either like Rory, you love Rory, or you fucking
can't stand the guy.
Nobody goes.
Yeah, rory's just, he's okay, you'd fucking like him.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
I would disagree on
that.
I'm not a huge fan of Rory.
I don't dislike him.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
Joe, you're kind of
the same way, because you don't
dislike anybody, that's true.
Speaker 5 (15:25):
Patrick Cantley.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Yeah, cantley, I true
, that's kind of true.
Patrick can't leave, yeah, can't leave out of work.
Uh, we do.
We do have a question fromchapman.
Um shoot, I can't even readthis.
Uh question do you think rory'scaddy should have told him to
aim about 10 to 15 yards left ofthe pin on 13?
This is chapman.
Uh, I feel like the caddyshould have pointed way left.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
I feel like he
probably did I I was yeah, yeah,
I would say it's probably themove, but also too like you
can't be like, too dumb enoughto try to challenge and go right
of the pin, or well that thateverything feeds to that pin too
, everything, yeah, like all youhave to do is hit a golf from
(16:08):
tucson fucking little spinnerjoint and just feed it to the
pin.
Probably would have hold it outit was just brain diarrhea that
led to a great back nine and aterrific sunday.
That's all it was.
It set it up.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
It set it up it set
up the drama for sure I'm
curious, like I'm curious to seeif somebody asked I didn't see
it.
If you guys did, then I meandid, Like what was the shot on
that hole?
I want to hear that Right,Because that was the shot.
Speaker 4 (16:41):
If somebody asked
like what the discussion was for
that shot.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
Yeah, like what were
you trying to hit?
Where were you trying to hit it, Did you, you know?
Speaker 4 (16:48):
Yeah, I'm not sure if
anybody asked that, but yeah,
that's yeah.
What's the mentality behindwhat you tried to do there?
Speaker 3 (16:55):
yeah, did you toe
squirt it right trying to get
some ruby red, ruby red, fantastic grapefruit soda squirt
.
Speaker 5 (17:03):
That's a, he squirted
it yeah, I don't know like I'll
have to go back and watch itagain.
I didn't really notice what hislie was like for that shot or
it maybe it was in a divot, forI mean, I don't really remember
them talking about anythingspecific to that shot, but it
looked like just a normal 10 50feet left of the whole punt
(17:26):
pitch shot do you think it wasthe right play to lay up for
rory?
Speaker 3 (17:29):
I mean, he, he was in
a great spot off the tee.
I mean you know he could, he,he could lace his three wood up
there, no problem, easy, do youthink it?
Oh yeah, I feel like he wastrying to play too conservative
and that's not rory.
You know if rory went after it,you know because because he
scored when he went after it, hedidn't.
(17:51):
He didn't score when he triedto play the chorus and play
conservative, rory played betterwhen he was like playing as
rory oh yeah, I.
Speaker 5 (18:00):
I think that could be
part of it too, is is?
I mean, you saw all those shotshe hit out of the trees, that
one on seven, that wasincredible, like he could have
easily just pitched it out thatthat shot was insane.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
That little flop shot
, eight iron type thing.
He hit over the trees.
Speaker 5 (18:15):
That shit was wild
dude yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
I don't think.
Speaker 5 (18:18):
Rory's a conservative
player.
I think you're right.
I think some of it could bethat he was being too careful
and maybe that's why he missedsome of those putts, because you
miss the hole there and you'rethree, four feet by easily on
even short putts.
So it's probably could havebeen what happened?
Speaker 3 (18:34):
I think he was not
playing his game and I feel like
that might be what happened.
He wasn't playing rory golf, hewas playing, uh, jack nicholas
on the phone.
This is how you play the courseand you play it safe kind of
live.
You know, like it wasn't attack, attack, attack and he he kind
of lost it a little bit.
You know he was attacking thosebunkers, he was trying to carry
(18:56):
the bunkers, getting greatlines into the greens and he was
in the bunkers and everything.
But I think he he wasn'tplaying his game for some of the
round.
You know, know what I mean.
Speaker 5 (19:11):
Yeah, let's talk
about a few key takeaways from
the Masters.
One of the things I'm superhappy about Max Homa playing
well.
It's good to see him back.
I always thought he needed togo back to Tideless, but maybe
the Cobras will work.
Yeah, he played great.
He played great.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
That was a big
tournament for him, bryson.
Speaker 5 (19:32):
He's a different.
He's a different character.
I really do love Bryson.
I love Rory equally as much, but the whole thing about Rory
not talking to him, it's likeit's like it's the first time
Bryson's ever played withsomeone that was like hyper
focused at winning a golftournament, because it was just
weird how that was sort of a anissue.
Like it's exactly how tiger was, like he didn't speak a word to
(19:56):
anyone in his prime, like thathe was just well.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
That's why they're
different people, though.
Chris torres shot out the worldfamous.
Uh, he had a question.
Thoughts on bryson stirringshit up about Rory not talking
to him.
Speaker 4 (20:11):
I think it's a
non-issue.
Personally, I think Bryson'sthe likable guy high-fiving
everybody talking chatty, chatty.
Kathy.
Mr YouTuber made a complete 180.
And this is not a bitch againstBryson, I really like Bryson.
I used to be Team Brooksy andall that, all that shit, but
I've completely changed.
But rory was locked the fuck in.
(20:33):
He knew what he needed to do,like this was for 14 years, I
think it was.
This was the the, the monkey onhis back.
You know what's he gonna do beall you know chatty and bro-ing
out with with bryson dechambeau, you know talking about.
You know what they're going todo in the gym and shit.
No, he's locked in.
He's trying to win the Masters,he's trying to make history and
(20:55):
be a Grand Slam winner and youknow that's what.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
I like to say yeah, I
mean yeah.
Speaker 4 (21:01):
Tiger didn't say shit
to anybody.
That's what killers do you getin the zone and you go go.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
Yeah, I mean he, he's
trying to win the grand slam,
right, like he was locked in,totally fine, he did not look
locked in for his the golf game.
He was playing for most of theround and uh, I'm curious, I'm
like dude, there's so many likeuniverses and parallel universes
that how it could play out likehow dan sent that, uh, that
post, patrick reed three puttingon 13, and where that could
(21:33):
have laid out like in, andthat's every tournament.
Everything could play out sodifferently, like even even me
man, like if I got that ace atcascada when it was hanging on
the edge, like I'd have acascada flag back here.
You know, but I don't.
So it's like so many things canplay out so differently.
And, uh, I think I don't hate onrory for not talking to bryson,
(21:55):
not at all.
And anybody that does like youdon't understand the achievement
that he has accomplished, uh,this past weekend.
So, like, put yourself in thatthat position, like if you're
going after something and youdon't want to talk to anybody,
major accomplishment six peoplehe's the sixth person that's
ever done it like you don't gotto talk to nobody, bro, it's.
(22:17):
Yeah, you know he's not playinga four ball with the homies
drinking sun cruisers.
You know, it is what it is like.
I'm not hating on rory for thatat all.
It is what it is Like.
I'm not hating on Rory for thatat all.
Speaker 5 (22:31):
Yeah, no, not at all.
The other thing that was I.
I I felt like this year thecoverage and the, the where they
were at, the camera angles andthings was the best ever for the
masters, because we all hearlike how elevated that place is.
It's always flat on TV but thecamera angles and the way that
they showed some of those chipshots up onto these shelves that
(22:52):
were are just insane and theshots that they pull off.
I thought it was the bestcoverage of the masters yet that
was great yeah they're getting.
Speaker 4 (23:01):
They're getting
better as these especially too,
as like they're getting thesesick little drone footages and
stuff in there too, like, likeit's just it's it's getting
pretty sweet on how they canstart covering some courses and
stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
Hey, quick shout out
to Mark.
I saw his, his little videotrying to go in for master's
camera work with the with the.
Did you guys see that?
Where he was like going in formy master's interview and he was
doing he was at a course withthe flowers and he did this like
(23:36):
and it's all closed up on theflowers, so shut up.
It's like I'm saying, uh, thatwas funny.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
I thought that was
funny can you guys at least hear
me now?
Speaker 4 (23:44):
yes, yeah, we didn't
hearty.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
Dude, I don't know
what the hell happened.
That was terrible, so I'm likethis now.
Speaker 4 (23:52):
We are hey, you're
here, what did I miss?
You missed all the Masters talk.
We moved on.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Yeah, you couldn't
hear anything, you couldn't hear
anything.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
No, I don't know
what's going on.
I heard a little click and thenI could hear myself and then
nothing from you, guys, nomatter what I did.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
We can hear you, yeah
you better hear you.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
You just couldn't
hear us you should get it on
whatnot and buy some new uhinterfaces, audio interfaces,
cameras, things like that I cando that.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
I can show you that,
yeah, it's, it's not junk, it's
not junk.
But, oh man, yeah, my apologiesto everybody for that.
That's okay.
Speaker 5 (24:34):
So what was your take
on the masters Matt?
Obviously Rory and the Shamboand all that stuff.
But what was your?
Speaker 1 (24:41):
I thought it was one
of the best masters we've had in
a long time.
I mean, it was.
I thought it was, I thought itwas great, it was entertaining.
The.
The course was, you know, it'sthe masters.
It was stunning.
You know, rory, it was such anemotional rollercoaster for him
(25:03):
because, you know he, he had achance to win and then lost, and
then had to go into the playoffand had another chance to win
and won.
So I mean that window where hewas, you know, oh my God, I just
lost the Masters maybe.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
And then, oh my God,
I just won the Masters.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
I mean going from
that high to that low in a
matter of 30 minutes, wow, youknow.
And his shot on 15, oh godright.
Speaker 5 (25:32):
Unbelievable, that
was tiger-esque yeah, it was
tiger.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
Uh yeah, sorry I
missed all the masters talk.
I gotta catch up on all thisstuff.
Well, so we?
Speaker 3 (25:42):
did have a.
We did have a question that wedidn't address from cliff, uh.
And he says, uh, didn't homachange caddies too?
Because we were talking aboutmax homa and how he performed
pretty well and jeremy being atitleist fan boy.
Uh, he was thinking that youknow, max needs to go back to
titleist and he's gone on cobraand, uh, he did decent this this
(26:06):
year at the masters.
And and Joe Granger, right, granger, whatever his name is I
forget how to pronounce his lastname, but JT missed the cut,
right?
Am I wrong there?
Or no, not wrong, right, Idon't know.
Did he miss the cut?
He was not in contention at all, but Max's old caddy was on
JT's bag, yeah, it was on JT'sbag.
(26:28):
And Max did fairly well.
So Cliff was asking about Homachanging caddies this week too,
because we were talking abouthow well Max did.
He doesn't typically performwell in the majors.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
Yeah, the I mean his
old caddy was on JT's bag just
because JT's buddy was sick orhis caddy was sick, so it wasn't
like a career move.
He was just picking up a bagfor the, for the tourney for the
week.
Who knows what happened withMax.
I mean he played great.
Everybody loves.
I'm glad he played great.
(27:00):
Everybody wants to see him outthere.
He's, he's, you know, such adown to earth guy and and I mean
, who doesn't want?
Speaker 3 (27:06):
He did miss the cut,
according to Chris Torres.
Speaker 5 (27:09):
I don't think he did.
I think he finished 36th.
He played with Min Woo Lee inthe final round.
I thought Is that not accurate?
Speaker 3 (27:17):
I don't remember, but
I know he was not in contention
Because I bet on him.
Speaker 5 (27:24):
Pretty sure he made
the cut, though, but yeah, he
was doing nothing.
He was like two or three over.
Jeremy is correct, but JordanSpieth did get a 14th, so that's
all I.
I don't care Come on Jordan.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
Yeah, I mean, he's
getting back to his golfing
skills.
Speaker 5 (27:45):
I think the putter
thing's in his head, though.
He's testing putters, andthat's never a good thing for
someone that's still testing, but I think for a person that is
known for his putting andthat's one of his strongest
areas it's like when you'retesting putters, you know
there's some problems.
Speaker 3 (28:05):
Comment from Brian
Orr on Instagram.
Not just the masters.
That was the best golf I'veseen in years from some of the
best in the current game.
Rosie had 10 birdies that wastruly unbelievable dude rosie.
Rosie was in the lead the firsttwo days, right like if he
didn't have a bad saturday andhe lit Sunday up.
(28:29):
Think about.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
Rory's doubles, he
would have finished it 18 under.
Speaker 5 (28:35):
Yeah, think about
Oberg.
I mean, he missed five, or sixputts.
He could have been in that too.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
The best one was if
Patrick Reed doesn't miss that
three-footer.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
Yeah, Matt, well, you
mentioned that.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
Oh, did you mentioned
that?
Speaker 5 (28:51):
Oh, did you.
Okay, I'm sorry, a little bit.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
Yeah.
He makes that birdie instead ofbogeying.
That's two strokes and hefinishes that a lot better.
Patrick Reed wins the.
Speaker 5 (29:03):
Masters, that's just
a nightmare.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
That's the thing
there was.
So much good god rory'ssaturday, where he went what six
threes in a row, or five threesin a row to start his round.
I mean that, wow, he's so much,so much cool stuff.
We saw that, you know justincredible.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
I mean, it was a.
It was a, it was a greatmasters.
Uh, it provided drama from someof the greatest players in the
world.
We got Bryson.
Bryson fell apart, but you knowthere's a rivalry brewing
currently.
You know, I thought Rory's agreat putter, but when Rory is
(29:50):
under pressure, rory is not thebest putter in the world.
No, not at all.
So it's like I'm real curiousto see where that ends up,
because I don't think this isthe last time we've seen this
battle.
Like, we'll probably see thisbattle a couple of times in the
next few years.
Probably see this battle acouple times in the next few
(30:14):
years.
I do feel that rory has weightlifted off of his shoulders.
He'll so much he'll have onemore major this year.
I fully believe that.
no, doubt it's gonna be I meanhe has a fantastic record at
quail hollow, so that's the nextone, so but I think I think he
is, he's on the hunt now, likeit's lifted, he has the, he has
(30:34):
the grand slam, like there'snothing holding him back now and
I feel I mean you saw it on 18,he broke down.
We don't see rory emotional andwe saw rory emotional and, uh,
I think he's got one more in himthis year, at least potentially
more.
Maybe we see the Rory slam.
I doubt it, but it's possiblebecause very possible.
(30:58):
That's what he's been chasingfor so long.
11 years longer, if if you'recounting winning the masters,
but 11 years chasing the grandslam.
He's got it weight lifted.
He's gonna win at least minimum, minimum.
One more major in his career, minimum, yeah, brian north said
(31:22):
on instagram.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
The seven iron from
207 on 15 will go down as one of
the best shots ever in golfhistory.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
Yeah, yeah that shot
was incredible.
How about the putt though?
We talked about this, but hemissed the putt for eagle he did
.
Speaker 1 (31:39):
He did miss the putt.
Speaker 3 (31:40):
How about?
Speaker 1 (31:41):
that.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
Shot on 17 and his
putt on 17,.
Incredible.
And to step up on 18 and lacethat, drive I the only way.
Like when he stepped up on 18 Iwas like he's just got to hit
this fairway and he's good andhe laced it, you know.
Yeah, yeah how?
Speaker 5 (32:01):
what do you guys
think about the?
The uh pin placement on 16?
I I think like nor the normalspot, I think creates some drama
, some excitement.
But that was definitely a tough, especially the way the greens
were firm and all that.
Speaker 3 (32:17):
That caught me by
surprise, because traditionally
it's more back left.
This was back right.
I saw a video where that'swhere Jack the final round for
Jack was 75.
So they were going more liketraditional.
I loved it.
You know, yeah, I don't mindwhere pins are, but you know
(32:42):
it's a place of history andthere's history involved with
that pin placement, so I'm downwith it.
Speaker 4 (32:47):
Yeah, I liked it.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
I agree.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
I liked it.
I liked seeing it different.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
It's a Sunday pin
yeah.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
It's a Sunday pin for
sure, absolutely.
Speaker 4 (32:59):
The hole-in-ones on
16 are great.
Everybody wants to see all thatstuff.
That's great.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
I want to see guys
hit a golf shot.
Speaker 4 (33:05):
Yeah, you can do that
on Thursday and Friday.
Put the front left Thursday, put the back left on Friday,
front right on Saturday on theslope, like they always do, and
then Sunday should always beback right.
It takes a good golf shot toget close to that back right pin
on Friday.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
Yeah, Brian Orr said
16 pin back right brings that
back bunker into play, whichwould be dead.
Speaker 4 (33:26):
Yeah.
They're making it harder.
Making a little harder, youneed to, yeah, they need to keep
doing that, yeah I want to seea over on 15, the pin over far
right.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
That way you know if,
if you miss right, you're in
that bunker and you'reshort-sighted and that'd make
guys hit it the middle and onthe left side and then you know,
have long putts.
There's so many differentthings that you can do.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
Yeah I think, I think
I think the uh, the grounds
crew, the superintendent, theagronomy team like did fantastic
.
I think it played out perfectlyright.
Like maybe if that pin wastraditional traditional sunday
pin, like things could haveplayed out so differently.
But I think it played outperfectly and I think that's the
(34:10):
magic of augusta national.
Like they probably foresaw whatwas going to happen.
I mean not necessarily, but youknow they felt it or whatever,
because there's a mystique toaugusta national and you can
believe that or not believe it,but I think it played out
perfectly the way it wassupposed to.
And that's shout out to uh, theplacers of the pins, the
(34:34):
agronomy team, the grounds crew, like, um, it's, I think it was.
I think it was, like I said, the best masters since Tiger won
, and that the reason why thatis top notch is because Tiger
won and we all wanted to seethat.
So it's probably the bestMasters, not including Tiger for
(34:54):
years and years and years, because it played perfectly.
I wouldn't have wanted to seethat play any differently.
Shout out Augusta National.
Uh, give me a call.
I'm down anytime.
So yeah, give him a call, fredgreen sticker on the back of the
(35:16):
.
Fred Ridley is.
He's the dopest dude in theworld, like you know.
He just handles himself so well.
Anytime you need a sticker, hitme up.
Joe, where the Anytime you needa sticker, hit me up.
Speaker 5 (35:30):
Joe, where the hell
would you put a sticker on the
property?
Where is it going Under thebridge on 12?
Speaker 3 (35:38):
The cover creek.
If I was going to piss in RaysCreek, somewhat saying, right,
we're not slapping stickers on aguest desk.
I would not do that, but if Iwas going to shit, I don't know,
you got to put it on the bigscoreboard.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
I'd probably put it
in it.
Speaker 3 (36:02):
I'd probably put it
in some incognito spot under
something, just so if somebodysaw it they'd reach out and be
like dude, I saw your stickerand I'd be like dope dude, you
are a hunter and you found it.
I appreciate you.
Speaker 4 (36:17):
I wouldn't put it
anywhere on your t-shirt yeah,
you got to make sure thesticker's green so it blends in.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
I wonder how many
people do that and how fast they
are at removing them.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
Yeah, like on the
phone, banks is a very obvious
spot, right.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
Yeah clearly.
Speaker 3 (36:39):
So I don't know, they
probably have cameras on the
trees and shit.
Speaker 4 (36:44):
Good they're on it.
Speaker 3 (36:47):
You don't see trash.
You don't see nothing.
They're on it.
You don't see trash, you don'tsee nothing.
Speaker 1 (36:50):
They're on it.
I'm curious.
Speaker 5 (36:54):
I didn't see this,
Chris.
I didn't.
Speaker 4 (36:59):
Taylor.
Speaker 5 (37:00):
Gooch always has
something to say.
Speaker 4 (37:02):
Taylor Gooch said
that he's dead, he's done, he's
dead, it's not it's not uh.
It's not a uh.
Did he really win the mastersor a major without having the
best field players in the worldin there?
I guess taylor gooch isincluding himself not being in
the masters, you're not afucking top player.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
Bro taylor gooch is
dead.
You could have been somethingincredible and you left, so it
did he say anything else likewho should?
Speaker 1 (37:26):
else should have been
something incredible and you
left.
Did he say anything else?
Who else should have been there?
That wasn't.
Speaker 4 (37:33):
I think he's just
making a generalization about
the Liv guys Most of the Livguys not being allowed to play
in the Masters.
Speaker 3 (37:41):
The biggest names in
Liv were there.
Speaker 4 (37:44):
Yeah, yeah, he is.
He's a fucking idiot bro.
Speaker 5 (37:48):
I think that's not
the first time.
Speaker 3 (37:48):
He's just, he's a
fucking idiot bro yeah, yeah, he
fought every.
Speaker 5 (37:49):
I think that's not
the first time he said anything
either, that's he's trying todraw some stuff up like, yeah,
he's trying to stay relevant.
Speaker 3 (37:56):
He's an idiot you had
ronald mcdonald you had you had
bryson, you had joaquin neiman, who is the best player on live,
no question, yeah, yeah, camSmith who did not do anything.
Fantastic, I mean, you had, youhad everybody you had.
Ronald McDonald bro everyonewas there.
(38:19):
Joaquin Neiman is the bestplayer on live because he he
tries to hunt it down.
He plays all over the world.
He's won what did he win fivetimes last year, Like worldwide.
Speaker 1 (38:34):
Something like that.
Speaker 3 (38:36):
He's the only grinder
.
Well, bryson, bryson is.
Bryson doesn't even have toplay anywhere else, he's and
he's in the mix.
But Joaquin is the only one, wakanaman is the only one that's
trying to get in these fields, nobody else.
I mean he's traveling.
Speaker 1 (38:57):
Yeah right, bryson,
not the best player in live.
Speaker 3 (38:59):
Yeah, joaquin Neiman,
I mean, yeah, I might have
thought I might have just jumpedthat one a little bit.
Speaker 4 (39:09):
He's got more live
wins but Bryson also has a.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
US Open yeah yeah,
brian Orr's timing in on
Instagram.
Dj and Brooks both sucked, philsucked.
Phil played pretty good, butBernard Longer almost made the
cut and those guys didn't.
Speaker 5 (39:24):
Yeah, how about that?
How about him and Freddie man?
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
A hybrid holdout
Heard around the world yeah, cut
.
And those guys did.
Yeah, how about?
Speaker 1 (39:28):
that.
How about him?
And freddie man?
Yeah, leather face hybridholdout heard around the world.
Yeah, that was sick that wassick, that was sick.
Leather faces last masters yeah, well, they'll probably come
back and have him in thehonorary group no, he'll, he'll.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
He's gonna be a part
of the masters for a long time,
but yeah, he's like I don'tthink he's.
He's not playing in thetournament anymore uh, oops, not
that one.
Speaker 1 (39:53):
What was this?
Uh, what was more shockingrory's approach to 13 or his
approach to 18?
13, 13, 13, no doubt you havethat much green left side and he
I still think he missed itthere.
Speaker 4 (40:07):
That was dumb.
That's what I thought too.
I thought he toe-shanked thatshit.
Speaker 1 (40:11):
Yeah, cliff said,
better chance of seeing Brad
Horvath beating Bryce's caddythan Neiman winning a major.
Speaker 5 (40:21):
I really think.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
Neiman can win a
major.
I think Neiman can win for sure.
I mean he's won in Australia.
He's won in australia, he's wonin europe, he's won in uh, he's
won across.
Like last year, he's gonna winfive tournaments across pga.
I don't know, I don't know he'sgonna.
(40:43):
I I full-on believe Neiman canwin a major, full-on.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
Maybe a British.
Speaker 3 (40:51):
I could see him
winning a British Open, or well,
the Open yeah, the Open.
The.
Speaker 1 (40:56):
British Open.
Yeah, I don't know.
I thought it was funny thatthere wasn't more talk about
Bryson forgot he had to play onSunday a fourth round.
I thought there was going to bea lot more of that.
No, it was good.
I thought it was a greatMasters.
Speaker 3 (41:18):
It was great.
I will say if anybody islooking for a gnome, don't buy
it now.
Wait till August.
Okay.
Speaker 2 (41:28):
Don't wait 10 years.
Speaker 3 (41:30):
Yeah, don't wait 10
years because those things
skyrocket.
So wait till any masters gearyou want to buy.
Don't buy it right now.
It's highly, highly inflated.
Don't buy it now.
Um, hopefully you guys win thelottery one day.
Uh, I hope to myself hopefullyyou guys win the lottery one day
.
I hope to myself.
Our friend Reed got to go andhe had a fantastic time Did you
(41:58):
guys see Cyrus' haul?
Speaker 4 (41:59):
Yeah, Cyrus' haul was
awesome, His video in his haul.
Did you see that Joe?
Speaker 3 (42:02):
Yeah, I did of course
.
Yeah, those hats are $35.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
They were selling on
Whatnot for $100.
Speaker 3 (42:15):
Yeah, he had like a
dozen of the hats, not more.
Speaking of whatnot follow, bookmark the show at hitting
greens.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
Joe mentions the
podcast enough on his little
shows.
So, uh, yeah, it's, it's fair.
It's fair to mention it, yeah,so if you guys don't know, we've
talked about it a little bit.
What WhatNot is?
It's a live auction site whereonly people in watching the
auction can bid and Joe's havingsome fun with it.
Speaker 3 (42:39):
It's A lot of fun, a
lot of fun.
Speaker 4 (42:41):
It's a lot of fun.
Speaker 1 (42:42):
Oh, what Rob said
here, I missed that.
Do you think US Open and PGAChampionship would be better if
they were held at the samecourse, like the Masters?
No, us Open has to rotate likeit does.
I think we've seen enoughPebble Beach, us Opens and
Pebble Beach.
Speaker 3 (43:01):
I'm kind of over
Pebble Beach Kind of like over
it.
I love it, but I'm kind of likeover it.
I love it, but I'm kind of overit.
Speaker 1 (43:11):
What I like about it
at the majors, you get four
rounds at Pebble.
Speaker 3 (43:14):
Beach, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (43:16):
They make the course
really fucking hard.
Speaker 3 (43:18):
Those greens are so
damn small already.
Speaker 4 (43:22):
The next four or five
years to line up it for US Open
is pretty good, though I saw aclip of it somewhere.
I think they're playing like.
I think they're playing oakmonic.
What this year?
Right this year?
And then they go to likeshinnecock and back to pioneers
number two, I think somewheredown the road.
Um, what else was there?
Speaker 1 (43:43):
pebbles back and then
two isn't it?
Speaker 4 (43:45):
yeah, pebbles back in
anyway, but yeah, there's some
nice ones coming up on the roadfor the next five US opens yeah,
cliff mentioned is it goingback to Beth Page in like five,
six years?
Speaker 3 (44:04):
yeah, I played it.
If you didn't know, that's sick.
Yeah, I just played Beth Page.
Speaker 1 (44:07):
That's why, yeah,
just played that page that's why
I'm bringing it up.
Speaker 3 (44:10):
So it's cliff, but
cliff said uh, fields ranch is
gonna be a dope place for amajor.
I can't wait to see that.
I know dan's been there.
Speaker 4 (44:19):
So like yeah, I can't
wait for it oh yeah it could
definitely be a pga course forsure.
Wing foot, that was another one, yeah that's right Rob.
Speaker 1 (44:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (44:28):
Wingfoot Bryson won.
Bryson won there.
Speaker 4 (44:32):
How about Cliff just
got done with?
Speaker 3 (44:34):
Old Barnwell and Tree
Farm.
Speaker 2 (44:37):
Man.
Speaker 3 (44:38):
Cliff, what a loser.
Speaker 1 (44:39):
What a loser.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
Nah.
Speaker 1 (44:42):
I love Cliff because
we're going to Nebraska with
Cliff.
Speaker 4 (44:45):
Those pictures were
awesome.
Speaker 1 (44:48):
Yeah, that place
looked incredible.
Speaker 5 (44:48):
Yeah, I'm really
curious.
Nebraska with cliff.
So no, those, those pictureswere awesome.
Yeah, yeah, that place, yeahplace looked incredible yeah,
I'm really curious how you liketree farm cliff yeah, do I have
to cliff?
Speaker 1 (44:57):
you do a write-up
about it.
You haven't done one of thosein a while for for the site I
did spend some time with mybuddy going to uh.
Speaker 3 (45:04):
I spent like an hour
on the phone with him earlier.
He's going to bandon for thefirst time.
He takes off tomorrow on aflight, uh, so nice, that's me,
did you make him an itinerary?
Uh, no, I didn't make him anitinerary he should have told
him an itinerary he called me.
He's like it's 55 to 65.
Do I bring shorts?
I was yes, bring at least twopairs of shorts.
(45:27):
You're there for four days.
Yeah, dude.
Speaker 4 (45:34):
I'm stoked.
Where were you calling JoeAbandon Matt?
Where were you calling JoeAbandon?
Speaker 1 (45:41):
Oh God, what were
they calling Joe Abandon?
Speaker 4 (45:45):
Camp leader or camp
something, keith oh camp leader.
Speaker 3 (45:52):
That's right, that's
right, that's right.
That's just so cool, though,man like I, I mean, I met, I met
, uh the homie mike fry at, likethe cam event, cameron kelly's
event, uh, the kingdom, in likegoat hill, and you know, he, he,
he grabs all the hit and greenstuff like every time.
He's big supporter, uh, andhe's I.
(46:13):
I was on the phone with him, hecalled me, he's like I got
questions for you.
So, um, come to find out hemoved from oklahoma to like an
hour and a half away from thenew dream golf resort that's
being built in Florida, which hedidn't know about.
So I got to chat to him aboutthat.
So, uh, yeah, I can't.
(46:37):
I'm so stoked for them.
Mitch is going.
Uh, doug from Sweden, like dude, I'm so stoked for them.
I can't wait to see the updates.
Speaker 1 (46:46):
Yeah, that's going to
, Dude.
I'm so stoked for them.
I can't wait to see the updates.
Yeah, that's going to.
I miss Bandon.
Speaker 3 (46:49):
I was supposed to go
on that trip.
I was supposed to go on thetrip but couldn't make it happen
, unfortunately.
Speaker 1 (46:56):
Wait, you turned down
a Bandon trip.
Speaker 3 (46:58):
I did, I had to.
I mean, you know it was.
It's tough, bro, it's toughwith two kids.
But yeah, I potentially couldhave been leaving the band in
tomorrow with some friends andI'm not going to be there but
I'm with them.
Speaker 1 (47:18):
I'm so honored you
chose the VGN over Bandon.
Speaker 3 (47:23):
Yeah, that was the
choice Right here, right, here
yeah.
Vgn.
Speaker 1 (47:28):
That was it.
That was it.
Rob says he wants to caddy forCliff on his golf trips.
Speaker 4 (47:33):
Get in line Get in
line.
Speaker 1 (47:36):
We all have adoption
papers filled out.
Speaker 4 (47:40):
I'm carrying Cliff's
wedges.
You guys carry the woods.
Speaker 5 (47:48):
Jeremy you read the
screen, I'll carry whatever he
wants.
Carry the bag the empty bag.
Speaker 1 (47:57):
We carry the clubs.
Speaking of Laughlin, I showedthis earlier.
This is one of the smallerportions of the trophy that will
be handed out Saturdayafternoon down at Laughlin,
laughlin Ranch.
If you have not played it, Ihighly recommend you get your
butt down there and play it.
It is is a spectacular golfcourse.
(48:21):
It's very underrated.
I've been telling people it's alot like Revere Lexington, but
with some character.
Not that Lexington doesn't,it's just it's very different
atmosphere, environment.
Speaker 3 (48:38):
It's such a great
golf course.
It reminds me of like Reveremeets Mesquite.
That's how I would characterizeit.
Speaker 1 (48:46):
It's Conestoga of the
South, okay, of the river, of
the river.
Oh, there we go, conestoga onthe river.
We got 56 players that areheaded down there.
Big shout out to everybody thatdid sign up for this one.
I know it's not easy going anhour and a half away.
(49:07):
A lot of the guys are goingdown Friday night and staying
there.
They're giving us a discountedrate for anybody that wants to
play on Friday.
It's weird.
They charge taxes and cart feesout there.
So that's not on the you knowthe website.
When you book a time, it's, youknow, $130.
(49:27):
Oh, and then there's a $20 carfee and taxes.
So yeah, they're.
They're making some good moneydown there in Laughlin right now
.
I've never we don't pay cartfees around here.
I hope that virus doesn'tspread north and the courses
around here realize that, ohshit, we can make an extra 40
(49:49):
bucks a cart by telling peoplethey have to pay to ride the
cart if they do that, it'sboycott season.
Speaker 3 (49:56):
Oh man.
I golf stop, only golf stopyeah 100% golf stop, only AMT
times.
Speaker 1 (50:08):
Yeah, so it's a
300-point event.
It's an elevated event and Ican't wait.
It's going to be a blast andI'm so happy we have all the
people we have going down therefor it.
We've got 23 players in thespace flight.
That's going to be a shootoutand that course is very scorable
(50:29):
.
It's very scorable.
So the big hitters playing at7,000 yards.
You're going to have some fun,and everybody else.
You know we played it last yearin April and it was in great
shape.
That's why I wanted to book itagain this year in April before
they did some airing.
Knock on wood.
Hopefully it hasn't happened.
Um and uh, yeah, lookingforward to it.
Speaker 3 (50:53):
So I will say, if
you've never played it, you
should try and go play it beforethe tournament, because there's
some fucking tricky holes outthere.
Speaker 1 (51:00):
So uh, oh yeah get
your eyes on it before and the
routing isn't the greatest so,uh, watch where you're going
yeah, there's some shots wherewe were like oh, don't hit it
here, yeah, so yeah, it'll,it'll fool some people, uh chris
(51:20):
costa in the chat on ig says uh, any word on full toe or full
face Opus coming in the future?
Unfortunately not.
Have not seen that, but as soonas I hear anything I'll let you
know.
I will let you know.
We have so many requests for it.
It's crazy.
We got so many requests for 9and 11 woods, like everybody
(51:44):
would come up do you have a 9wood, do you have a 11 wood?
And then we got them and theneverybody's asking for many
drivers.
Now we got him.
So keep asking, keep asking, keep throwing it out there.
Maybe odyssey will uh orodyssey callaway will realize
that you know the full face isis highly requested with uh.
I know a lot of people wantthose.
No, yeah, all right, uh, let'ssee.
(52:07):
So we got the masters takencare of.
Uh, let me see if I could bringin.
I should still be able to bringup maddie g.
Let's get maddie g's weatherforecast and we'll be right back
, hey everybody.
Speaker 2 (52:18):
it's first or
meteorologist mac on target.
The chasing daylight podcastbig tournament for the vegas
golf network this saturday at 8am shotgun at laflin ranch.
The forecast is gonna becalling for temperatures in the
upper 60s and lower 70s rightaround 8, 9 o'clock, so
definitely a wonderful start tothe day.
May feel a little warmthroughout the round, especially
for the back nine.
We'll have daytime highs onSaturday at 80 degrees, but
(52:40):
throughout your golf round we'lldefinitely look at temperatures
in the 70s, so enjoy it underlight winds.
Should be a beautiful day forsome golf yeah got rid of that
heat wave.
Speaker 1 (52:54):
We have some nice
weather, so, um, we're all
driving down early uh, saturdaymorning.
So, uh, pray for great trafficand no, no, uh, yeah, no
accidents.
We don't need that.
So, all right, that's maddie gwith the weather.
Let's talk about the new cruise.
(53:14):
I know, jeremy, you put anorder in for them.
What made you do that?
Speaker 5 (53:20):
I don't know.
Unfortunately, I didn't make itin time because I wanted the
white ones, so I think I'm goingto order the black ones, though
, but probably will order thewhite ones when they're
available in my size, but Idon't know.
They looked amazing and I'vebeen looking for sort
of a.
I've been looking for like a.
You know, I love thetraditional foot joy premiere
(53:41):
style, but I want somethingthat's a little more like I can
throw them on and just wear themto the course or if I want to
play basketball in them.
Yeah, I play basketball, youknow.
Speaker 2 (53:54):
Go to Star Nursery.
Speaker 5 (53:56):
Get some cactus.
Grab a cacti or two, grab acacti, maybe get some Filipino
food, you know just whatever Pande sal.
Speaker 1 (54:07):
You have enough cacti
.
Speaker 4 (54:09):
You're doing good on
the cacti.
His cactus garden is sick.
Oh, I'm very envious the cacti.
Speaker 1 (54:14):
His cactus garden is
sick.
I'm very envious.
Speaker 3 (54:19):
Very envious.
Speaker 1 (54:19):
Let's see if we have
some comments.
Speaker 3 (54:20):
I do need to order
some of those.
I haven't done it yet, but it'son my list to get some of those
.
Speaker 1 (54:26):
Yeah, rob, they did,
but we hadn't had them in the
Elite stuff yet.
So that's what people wereasking.
Why is there an Obstacle Fieldevent during Town of no, that's
what people were asking.
So, uh, why is there anobstacle event during town?
Is that new?
No, it's opposite field becausethis is a signature event, so
it's limited field.
So they're giving the otherguys something, something to
plan.
That didn't make the limitedfield that is why?
(54:50):
um, okay, so the new trues, uh,the, the new g-force, the mx4s
with the spikes, the, the uhg-lock spikes crazy comfortable
I I'm a big fan of the g-force,how comfortable they are.
Um, the the big, the biggershoe that came out, the g18 I I
(55:12):
love that's a great winter shoebecause your foot just does not
get cold in that thing.
Um, so I'm I'm glad they cameout with, uh, another version of
a spiked shoe that, um, besidesthe gallivanders, I just I'm
not, I'm not fancy enough forthe gallivanders, uh.
So, uh, these came out.
I wore them, uh fittings atSunrise and Spanish Trail and
(55:34):
then when we played Saturdaycrazy comfortable, super
stability.
The traction is fantastic.
So big thumbs up from me onthose.
If anybody's looking for a newgolf shoe.
Speaker 3 (55:47):
Grab True Linkswear,
get some.
Speaker 1 (55:50):
Trues or some G4s or
G3.
Or G3.
Talk about the new LA Golfdriver.
I haven't seen a lot of peopletalking about it.
Speaker 3 (56:01):
as far as who got it
and hit it, I did see some
people asking why Bryson wasn'tplaying it during the Masters.
Speaker 1 (56:09):
I still think he's
testing it, trying to figure it
out.
Speaker 3 (56:14):
Well, he designed it.
Speaker 1 (56:16):
Yeah, it eventually
will get to his bag.
I can't see him not playing it,but it's a major season and
he's getting ready to compete inthese and he's very comfortable
with the crank stuff.
Speaker 3 (56:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (56:30):
But I can see him,
once the live season wraps up,
going and playing it next yearfor sure, once he gets it a
little bit more dialed in.
Speaker 3 (56:40):
Go listen to the
crank episode.
We had crank on, yeah, a monthor two ago.
Speaker 1 (56:44):
Go listen to that
episode and he talks about rice
and everything, so go listen toit um, yeah, that's what I got
there, all All right.
So what were we at?
We're on an hour, I'll do it.
We'll get into this real quick.
So this, this is uh, I I, eversince I shot that round of wait.
(57:05):
Hang on, what's this?
What?
No club giveaway tonight on CDP?
That'd be a buyer.
Rob got to be a buyer firstbefore we do a giveaway, buy
something, rob, buy something um.
So ever since I shot that, evenround out at lexington, uh, I I
(57:26):
played okay golf, not great golf.
Um, my driver's been reallysolid, but the iron has still
been an issue.
And foresight, if anybody has aGC quad or they have used the
foresight app in the past, itwas trash and like when I
started doing the fittings and Iwas like, wait a minute,
(57:47):
callaway is, like you know, oneof the big four.
Why do we have such horriblesoftware for fittings?
Because the fitting softwarefrom from foresight it's not
great, but they just did a hugeupdate to their app and it is.
It's on par with track man, ifnot a little bit better, because
there are some amazing featuresin it and I highly recommend,
(58:11):
if you have a quad, make sureyou update the app and check it
out.
So, julie and I highlyrecommend, if you have a quad,
make sure you update the app andcheck it out.
So Julie and I were messing withit at Club at Sunrise or at
Spanish Trail and I hit someshots with my 7-iron and didn't
really have time to dig into itthere.
But I came home when I waslooking at it and I noticed that
at impact my toe was up andI've been hitting the ball left.
(58:35):
So it makes sense.
You know, I ideally want to hitthe ball straight, maybe with a
little draw, and it hasn't beenhappening.
And if it has been happeningit's been starting left and
going left.
So I was like whoa you know Iplay my irons flat already was
really surprised.
(58:55):
So I picked the brains of TimFlote Shout out to Tim Flote,
he's my swing coach, that'shelping me.
I picked Eric Greenlee's brain,I picked Roar's brain, I picked
Julian's brain, just because Iwanted to kind of understand
what, why was this happening, you know?
And so I got into the rabbithole.
(59:17):
It started with just a littlelittle scraping of the surface
and then by uh, this morning Iwas, you know, 10 feet down in a
hole looking for the sun to getout of it.
Uh, but ultimately the the golfshafts for my swing right now
just are not kicking to helpthat toe get flat and hit the
(59:41):
ball straight.
So I messed around with my oldStrixons that I have regular
flex shafts in that.
Saw some better numbers, thosewere flat.
Saw some better numbers, thosewere flat.
So then I put a Nippon Modus105 regular flex that was hard,
(01:00:05):
stepped from Strixon and bentthe.
Today with Julian we verifiedsome numbers, bent that even
flatter and oh my goodness, whata difference.
Could not believe it.
I the line first full in yourall.
Stop digging, but there's gold.
Tell that to the guys at oakisland, um yeah, they haven't
done anything very goodit's been a bad season.
(01:00:28):
But I, I, I, you know, and Iwas talking with Greenlee and I
told, I said to him I go, youknow, I'm, I'm already two
degrees flat and he goes, hegoes.
Don't worry about what degreesflat you are, just get it, hit
it until you're getting thenumbers that you want with your
ball flight and the groundinteraction.
(01:00:49):
And so, yeah, 56 degrees wasthe the line angle angle for
that, which is crazy flat in youknow club building world.
But that lie angle is almostabsolutely perfect and I was
hitting the ball straighter thanI've ever hit it today and very
excited about that.
(01:01:10):
But just want to say there'sthere's so many different
nuances to making sure you knowyour clubs are fit for you.
You know what I swing and whatI am set up for.
I would never recommend foranybody else unless they had,
you know, an identical path, identical speed.
Uh, you know all that stuff.
So, um, if you know you'rehaving an issue with your, your
(01:01:34):
clubs and you think you'reswinging because my path is very
, very repeatable, my face isvery, very repeatable, but I was
not getting a repeatable golfball flight, so something was up
and I'm hoping this brings alittle bit of you know more
better stats on my approach sideof the game, because that is
(01:01:57):
the weakest part of my gameright now by far.
Chipping's been good, puttingbeen great, off the tee's been
great, but my approach game istrash.
So hopefully, hopefully, we'llsee look out Laughlin Ranch.
Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
Matt is coming.
Look out field.
Matthew Wangenyot is about totear your ass up.
Look out.
Speaker 1 (01:02:19):
This guy.
Speaker 5 (01:02:20):
I don't know We'll
see.
Speaker 1 (01:02:22):
We'll see.
But then we also bent myOdyssey blade putter to match
the lie angle for the Scotty.
And oh man.
Speaker 3 (01:02:34):
Moral of the story
it's so good, good, dig a hole
and dig your way out climb yourway out mess with lie angles,
mess with shafts tinker your wayinto a hole tinker your way
into a hole and tinker your wayout of the hole your way into a
(01:02:55):
hole and tinker your way out ofthe hole.
Tinker your way into a hole.
Tinker your way into a ladderout of the hole, let's go.
Hell of a hole-in-one foresight.
Speaker 1 (01:03:05):
I had a 150-yard
hole-in-one.
Today I'm telling you, I've gottwo career holes in one.
Speaker 3 (01:03:11):
now, catching up, we
got anything else.
Speaker 4 (01:03:12):
We good, I'm counting
it.
I've got two career-hold onesnow Catching up.
Speaker 1 (01:03:16):

anything else, we good.
