Exploring Laughlin Ranch's exceptional desert golf layout tops our agenda this week, as Jeremy and Dan experience this hidden gem for the first time. The course earns unanimous praise from our crew for its strategic design, challenging greens, and memorable finishing stretch. "It's scorable, but it's also a thin line between being scorable and also will whip your ass," Jeremy observes, highlighting the course's perfect balance of accessibility and challenge.

The confusing tee markers spark a heated debate, with Joe frustrated by the identical mining-cart-wheel markers that lack clear color differentiation. "I just wish there was a zinc plating on those T-markers, or a gold plating or a copper plating, because they all look the same," he argues, while others defend the unique mining-themed design. Despite this minor complaint, all agree Laughlin Ranch belongs in their personal top-10 rankings.

We dive into golf equipment reselling on Whatnot, with Joe and Matt sharing both success stories and warnings about potential scams. "If you're not educated, you can fall for that easily," Matt cautions, offering tips for scoring legitimate deals on the increasingly popular platform.

The conversation shifts to Justin Thomas's impressive 61 at Harbortown, with Jeremy providing perspective from having played the notoriously tight course himself. We also recap the recent TopGolf Invitational, where Dan's enthusiastic participation in the alcohol offerings led to some memorable singing across Horizon Ridge. The episode wraps with birthday dinner recommendations for Matt, with Cleaver emerging as the unanimous steakhouse choice.

For a long time.
I'm like God.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
I can't believe how much I wasted buying cards from
java did the cards come withbubble gum when you were a kid?

Speaker 3 (07:51):
oh yeah, of course they came with uh us bonds
probably I didn't seriously morebonds more bonds

Speaker 1 (08:03):
uh, a stick of gum that like.
As soon as you put in yourmouth, it shattered into 20
pieces yes, just remember that.
I remember that shock yeah, thewax wraps terribly, yeah, but
no, yeah, I mean dude, whatnotis uh?

Speaker 3 (08:19):
whatnot?
Uh, so much fun, man, it reallyis really is Joe and I were
watching the.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
What's his name?
Lugosi, lugosi, joe.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Lugosi Joe, lugosi Joe.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
It was hilarious.
He had these quantities.
He was giving away a lab putter.
He's trying to sell all hisshit.
He's using a lab putter to helphim sell his shit.
He's like I got 15 of these, soI'm selling them for 52 off and
he goes.
We gotta sell all 14 of them, though, and he's sold 10.
He's like all right, I gottarelist it.
Price is going up and nobodybuys it.

(08:55):
He's like price is going up.
He goes going up because it'sit's 19 now, it was 12, it's 22
now.
I'm not moving until we sellthe, and I was like and I was
just watching it because thecomments were hilarious and he's
like shows in and at 6 am andwe're at 400 for a hat, I'm not
moving it though, dude, it's sofunny and like, that's a thing

(09:19):
man like, when I startedwatching a year ago because mass
appeal, golf, uh, golf, thehomie in Indiana started, he was
the guy that got me into it.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
And it's like, the more you watch, the more you
understand what is happening.
You know, and you're trying tocapitalize on, you know,
people's emotions.
I mean that's.
I mean it's, that's what it is.
It's you're capitalizing onpeople's emotions, like, like,
and it's it's so fun just towatch, like, even if you don't

(09:52):
buy anything, you just you cansit there and wait for hours
just waiting to grab, likesomething like that's a steal
and, uh, it's, it's so funny.
And you know I've, and, uh,it's it's so funny.
And you know I've I've talkedwith a lot of those guys and, um
, it's really cool and the guysthat do it well, do it fucking
well very well.
Take five is one of them, thrifty golf is one of them.

(10:14):
I mean, there there's there's abunch of guys that do it really
well, but the guys that don'tdo it well, like once you become
a educated consumer on the app, you'll see right through it and
that's, that's absolutely.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
We were.
We were watching somebody lastnight and they were selling the
Callaway stuff.
And so I'm I'm on the Callawaysite on my back end looking up
my cost on the stuff and what hewas saying at list for it it's
like so it's, I mean so manypeople get the wool pulled over
their eyes, you know, and that's, that's also the thing right

(10:51):
I'm selling them right now.
I'm selling blowing them outthe door, twenty dollars and
shows like they're on thecallaway clearance site right
now for 10 bucks.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
Yeah, that's the thing, man, if you're not
educated, I mean you, you canfall for that easily.
And, and the thing is, man, ifyou're not educated, I mean you,
you can fall for that easily.
And, and the thing is, thebuyer's giveaway will help you
swipe it, you know.
So it's.
Uh, you know, the the longeryou watch, the more educated you
get on the sellers and, um, ifyou're not into golf, like, like

(11:21):
how we are, like we know theprice of things because we are
golfers and we see it all thetime and, uh, if you don't know
you're new, like you could betaken advantage of, so just get
out there and just get yourselffine, yeah, yeah educated or, or
, stick to uh, you know, 2000adams drivers for $18.

(11:44):
Yeah, massey's in here, he's theguy that he's, he's the guy
that got me into whatnot, and he, he, he sent me all your stuff.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
You're the fuck that got us all.
Yeah, all right.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Now we know yeah, he's the guy.
He's the guy spreading the word.
Spreading the word, Jake.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
So, joe, spreading the word jacob.
So, joe, when is?
When is your next show?

Speaker 3 (12:04):
I'm planning on sunday, but I mean I don't know
if that's gonna happen becauseinventory is so hard.
I don't know how these guys doit.
I really don't like.
I have some stuff I could sell, but and I'm waiting for dan to
uh, I've done a lot for you.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
Bring stuff over and I just found a waiting for you
to bring stuff over.
I know you have so much shit ohmy god, I just found a bag of
stance socks.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
I'll still have the the cardboard on them, you know
yeah, and for you guys, I don't,I don't need anything, uh, you
know, a little little finder'sfee, maybe a dollar here, a
dollar there.
But uh, I've been combing offerup, found a guy that has some
things and he was like itincluded a, uh, the star wars

(12:46):
episode.
What is that?
Five, four through six, thoseare the first star wars right
three six.
Uh, it's still in, still in thecellophane gold edition, uh.
And he was like I'll includethat for 50 bucks and it was
like a putting mat, an RBZ3,three hybrid and something else.

(13:10):
I was like, done, I'll givethose.
My brother would love those VHStapes.
Then I got a guy that he's gotsix Vokey wedges, one snapped in
half, one is bent.
Jeremy, no, sounds like Jeremyone snap in half one is bent um,
but yeah, the hunt the hunt.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
No, it's like.
Sounds like jeremy it sounds.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
It sounded like him, but he lives in inspirata and
I'm real curious because it'sclose to jeremy, so, but no,
that that's the thing.
The inventory is so hard andhow these guys do it.
So that's why I need you guys'sstuff and I don't need anything
out of it.
I think it can feed the podcast.
I think it could feed the VGN.
I think you can feed a hit andgreens.

(13:50):
I think it could feed 1440.
I think it could feed a DanFoster's pool company.
I mean, you know, like it's,it's not necessarily about the
money, it's about gettingclearing out the closet and and
building the scene.
So that's what I'm about.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Yeah, it's, it's, it's fun.
So I mean, the next one thatyou do is going to be good,
Cause we're going to have a lotof shit on there.
So bookmark it, bookmark itbookmark the show.
Bookmark the show hook part ofthe show.
Shout out jacob massey, that'sthe homie indiana.
Okay, so, uh, moving on.
For whatnot again?

(14:30):
Oh, what's this I like, goingfor twice the price on ebay.
Oh yeah, everybody says that oh, this is going for twice this
on ebay right now and that's thething, bro.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
Like, if you are an educated golfer and an educated
watcher of whatnot, you will notfall for the schemes.
That's the thing, dude.
Like, educate yourself, there'sa and uh.
You'll find deals.
But like, just be careful.
I mean, it's car salesmancentral.
I'm not trying to hate onanybody.

(14:59):
There's a lot of fantasticsellers on that app, but there's
a lot of.
There's a lot of fantasticsellers on that app, but there's
a lot of shitty ones.
Don't let your heart getinvolved.
And don't swipe, hit thatcustom bid and put a number in
that you're willing to pay forit and then do it that way.
If you lose it, you lose it.

(15:20):
It is what it is, but you justgot to be careful because it
feeds on emotion, it feeds onexclusivity, it feeds on, like,
the natural instinct to want towin something and the buyer's
giveaway is great, awesome.
You know, if you're willing tospend 30 on a towel that they

(15:41):
said was made in uh america, butit was actually made in taiwan,
fucking you know, and it's sosoft that you could wipe a
baby's bottom on it, I meanthat's on you.
I mean be educated and bewilling to lose the money that
you put into something and bedisappointed when it arrives at

(16:01):
your doorstep.
That's all it Be educated.
It's a gambling app for themost part, but I love it.
I love whatnot.
I watch it all the time andthere's fantastic sellers on
there.
There really is.
You can catch great deals.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
If a towel feature that gets you excited is how
soft it is, you're in the wrongbuying market for a golf towel.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Golf towel, yeah yeah , you're not drying yourself out
the shower, you're wiping withit the softest golf towel I've
ever owned yeah, yeah that's thething, man.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
Just it's so nice hey , I left this one up there
because Rob you got a G inhidden.
You got to fix that bro.
Hold on where Look on thescreen?

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Look at Rob's quote.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
I think you can sell the shit out of some hit.
Oh, rob, I didn't mess that up,rob did.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
I know, that's what I said.
That's why I left it up therefor you to see.
Come on, rob.
Come on, do be better, rob, bebetter do better, do better damn
it's three zero.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
Fuck what the hell's going on in the fortress rocky.
You shouldn't have been thereoh is rocky there tonight yeah,
he's there tonight.
I think if we would have boughtthose tickets they would be up
three zero now that fabs isthere too yeah, oh, fabs gotta
go yeah, time to leave okay, solet's get on to laughlin ranch.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Um the first 15 minutes of the show brought to
you by whatnot, in case youmissed that.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
Um, yeah, I'm hitting greens on whatnot.
Go follow, bookmark the show.
I'm still I'm gonna try andsell all these other these guys
stuff, so you may see they got alot of shit some of this up
there exactly um, okay.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
So Laughlin, ranch, joe and I had played it last
year in April Jeremy and Dan,first time out there.
What were your thoughts on the?
The win sucked.
We can talk about how shittythe win was all day long, but I
want to hear your thoughts onthe golf course and what you
thought of it and how youthought it played.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
So either way fire away so, either way, fire away.
Um, I'm I'm gonna say like withease it's in the top 10
rankings.
For me the course wasspectacular.
I thought I mean it was verydifficult.
There was some holes that arereally you don't find a lot of
risk reward holes at some of thecourses here in town.
There was a few of those therewhere you can really, if it's

(18:45):
worth it for you to try to takethat risk, it will pay off.
Fortunately it didn't for me.
But so many good holes.
It's scorable, but it's alsoit's kind of a thin line of
being scorable and also willwhip your ass.
So I mean, some of us maybe hadsome of that and, dan, you
played really well I think.

(19:05):
For the most part I think youplayed it really well for yeah,
he won he won I mean he won.
Yeah, but he didn't.
Dan's, and he'll talk aboutthat himself.
But dan didn't mess up, it wasjust he couldn't get it going
early.
But we, that's the kind ofcourse that is like.
The greens were tough, thespeed was hard to get used to.
Um, not seeing it I mean seeingit for the first time is always

(19:28):
difficult, especially when youjust jump right into a
tournament and you're expectedto kind of be aggressive.
And.
But I love that place, man,it's worth the drive.
I would go down there moreoften for sure.
I don't mind it.
I don't know what the what theynormally charge.
It seemed like it was prettyexpensive when we checked.
But such a sick course, I loveit.
I'm gonna go down there.

(19:49):
I want to get down there soonagain without the wind it's such
a you're right, it's such aneat golf course dan.

Speaker 4 (19:55):
Dan, what was your thoughts?
Um, yeah, I totally agree withuh, with uh, jeremy.
Um, I had honestly no idea whatto expect.
Um, it's definitely morecontours and hillier than I
thought it would be.
Um, I thought the greens wereactually pretty awesome because

(20:16):
they're not very big and, likelike jeremy said, with the short
par fours, like it could berisk reward, but but even though
those holes aren't tough, thosegreens make that hole tough and
if you put it on the wrong spoton those short par fours, it's
a hell of an up and down.
I mean, making fours is a goodscore sometimes on a couple of
those little short par fours,I'm really curious what you guys

(20:36):
think.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
So they looked really fast but they were actually
fairly slow how they looked.
And Dan, you playing DonaldRoss courses.
Little Donnie Ross, there wassome Donnie Ross out there on
those greens.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
There's definitely some Ross for sure, ross
inspirations on those greens.
Ross are just wild.
Yeah, just saying yeah, yeah, the the.
I will say the first, likeseven or eight holes putting was
kind of getting frustratingbecause I was still trying, like

(21:14):
some of the, some of the holeswould look like downhill and
some like uphill but they woulddo the complete opposite.
Like one put on the first parthree, I like a 35 foot putt,
uphill putt, I mean, and thatthing looks straight uphill.
The hole was like eye levelwith me, yeah.
So I hit a putt and I hit it 20feet past.
I was like what the fuck justhappened?
Like I hammered it by and acouple of times, uh, I had putts

(21:36):
that just looked like they weregoing to be so fast and I hit
them like three or four feetshort.
So the first, like six or sevenholes, you know I was just like,
oh my god, dude, like thesegreens are, you know they were.
I was frustrated with them.
But once you kind of figuredout you know everything where
the river's at you do you haveto play the wind too a little
bit.
I think the wind was strongenough.
We had to incorporate that.

(21:57):
So once I stopped likeoverthinking so much on how to
hit him and just was just kindof went with what was presented
at me at the time, say, okay, hit here, aim here and hit it.
I actually started putting alot better and uh, but it was
great, man, I love that golfcourse.
Uh, I definitely want to playit again.
12, the whole 12 sucks, um yeahI hate that hole, I hate that

(22:18):
hole now that I played that likethere was, there's no way you
should ever go for it.
It should just be a four orfive.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
I think it's a great hole, though, because it's right
there towards the end and itmakes you think.
I mean, I don't like it becauseevery time I've played it, I've
fucked it up.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
Matt, you even gave me a heads up about it.
You're like this hole here,it's not like what you think.
Off the tee, even gave me aheads up about it.
You're like that.
This whole here it's not likewhat you think.
Off the tee, you see one thing, but once you get over that knob
, you're like what?

Speaker 3 (22:45):
the hell, and that's exactly what happened yeah, when
you can even drive up.
I I had played there before andI said, hey, greg, uh, let's
drive up there, I want to see it.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
And I still fucking shit the bed on that one, yeah
yeah when you're standing thereit's so wide open and know most
of what you see is not where youwant to be.
It's great architecture, greatdesign, but I love the finishing
holes.
The finishing holes arefantastic.

(23:15):
Drive a short, you got achallenging par four.
Then you've got a drivable parfour.
You've got a long par three anda fantastic've got a drivable
par four.
You've got a long par three anda fantastic par five.

Speaker 3 (23:26):
Yeah, the last hole was sick.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
Oh, it's such a good closing hole.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Yeah, it reminds me a lot of the private courses here
, like Southern Highland Styleor Shadow, that feel I think a
few of those holes have.
We were trying to compare it tosomething else.
It's tough, it's like a hybridof those holes have I was, we
were trying to compare it tosomething else it's like a.
It's like a hybrid of, like rioseiko and a bunch of courses in
one.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
It's crazy to me to me it reminds me of like revere
meets mesquite.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
That's like how I categorize it to it.
Yeah, lexicon was built on the,the hills of mesquite one thing
that's what we said too likereal meat the hills of mesquite.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
One thing that's what we said too, like we owe me to
mesquite how, how confusing wasit for you guys being there for
the first time with how thelayout of the cart path was,
because it still confused me alittle bit.
And it's like, oh no, we'regoing that way.
And even when you go into thatbridge you're like, oh, I go
left, no, I go right, and it'slike you know you go you know?

Speaker 1 (24:25):
yeah, you got to read the signs it's sign heavy, very
sign heavy what up, mark?
Yeah, he said uh, laughlinranch architect is the
co-architect of dragon ridge.
Oh, we got a dragon, I believeit I believe it.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
Yeah, yeah, I think I did.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
I mean it's.
I wish it was closer.
I mean it's not super far awayfrom us, but it's.
It's a great golf course.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
It really is it really is amazing too, like the
practice facility awesome, yeah, yeah I love the little turn
shack.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
It's kind of like, uh , what moorhead is at revere now
with having the little turnshack right there at the range
with bathrooms and you don'thave to walk all the way back to
the clubhouse to go to thebathroom like you have to do
with a lot of places around here.
I know that because I've beenspending a lot of time on the
ranges and I tell you, rangesneed bathrooms.

Speaker 4 (25:15):
I like the golf bridges.
There too, they were goodbridges.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
Oh great golf bridges also did you guys notice?

Speaker 4 (25:23):
uh god, what hole was that?

Speaker 2 (25:27):
uh early.

Speaker 4 (25:29):
Well, no, besides the tall flags, it was on one of
those holes, it was on the shortone, the mine shaft that second
.
Yeah, the mine shaft, yeah, exactly, yeah, um, that's four.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
I thought that's why you gotta look back.
You gotta look back sometimesyeah, that's.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
I thought that was a cool little touch to see all
that shit out there.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
I had a fantastic chip shot from in front of the
mine to about a foot.
It was beautiful.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
Yeah, dude, it's such a good golf course.
I wish it was closer becauseI'd play it more often.
My only complaint is the cartpath layout.
That's it.
That's.
My only complaint is the cartpath layout.
That's it.
That's yeah, that's my onlycomplaint about that place it's
so confusing, but yeah, you doincredible course I, but I like

(26:11):
how they the all the t markersare the same on every t box.

Speaker 1 (26:14):
They're all.
No, they all look the same.

Speaker 3 (26:17):
They all look the same as what you mean.
Zinc looks like gold and italso looks like silver.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
They're all oxidized the t markers that you hit on,
that you hit between, on every tbox are exactly the same, but
they have signs oxidized.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
And then look, they do have the signs.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
Yes, yeah, the signs.
They have poles that say zinc, silver, gold and they have
different slots for those polesto go in.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
I just wish they were painted Because they look the
same.
The T-markers look the same.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
They are the same they're the same.

Speaker 4 (26:52):
They're the little minor cartwheels.

Speaker 3 (26:55):
Get some Krylon.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
No, that's what makes it so unique, dude, you know
how many times I was like are we?
On the right T-box.
Are we on the right box?
Are we on the right t-box?
Are we sure I think we readthis time I like that touch too.
I like it.
How many golf courses have youseen that and where they have
poles that you can move from it?

Speaker 4 (27:13):
was unique.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
It was unique to the whole mining, you know it was,
it was, it was, but all thet-markers were the same.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
What do you want?
Do you want each T marker to bedifferent?

Speaker 3 (27:25):
No, I felt like I didn't want to get DQ'd.
We're playing in a tournament.
I felt like I might be on thewrong T box because I couldn't
distinguish the color of the Tmarkers.
I mean, yes, we see it there onthe zinc sign.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
I asked multiple times.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
I was like are we on my?

Speaker 4 (27:44):
jameson stash there, because you're getting confused
on that, golf course, oh bro, Ihad.

Speaker 1 (27:48):
I had seven bottles you see the gold sign.
Now you look for the zinc sign.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
It's not that hard yeah, but with with moving the
t-boxes around, I just I had toask a couple times.
I'm like, are you sure we're onzinc?
And I had to go walk back tothe sign because the t markers
all look the same.
That's my only thing is allthat all the all the t markers
are the same color.

(28:13):
So you got to look out for thelittle sign that says zinc,
spelled in uh calligraphy on inmetal this reminds me of the
conversation I had with Danafter Dragon Ridge.
Look, I like the way they do it.
I like the way they do it.
I just wish there was a zincplating on those T markers, or a

(28:35):
gold plating or a copperplating, because they all look
the same, that's all.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
I'm saying Mike says zinc doesn't look like gold Joe.

Speaker 3 (28:47):
Yeah, I get it Shut up beautiful golf courses but no
, that's a thing I mean.
When you're teeing off andyou're in a tournament, there's
no confirmation you're on theright tee box.
Any other time time I couldcare less, but I don't want to
get DQ'd for playing the wrongtee box, which has happened to

(29:11):
Jeremy, right?
It's happened to Jeremy Dan,right.
Were you playing?

Speaker 2 (29:18):
reflection yeah, no, that's all I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
I'm just looking for some confirmation that I'm on
the right tee box instead ofwalking towards the cart path
and making sure we're askingsomeone else.
That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Well, other than that fantastic attention.
There's a sign that tells youwhat box is agree to disagree.

Speaker 4 (29:42):
I know that.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
I know that Agree to disagree.

Speaker 3 (29:45):
I like that, but other golf courses.
You drive up and you know okay, there's our box right there.
You don't have to look for asign behind a bush.
You're like that's the color ofour tee box.

Speaker 4 (29:58):
I think you're right, rob.
I think you're right.
He knew he was a good person,so that's why he really didn't
want to be.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
Well, I played with Rob, I played with Rob.
So, yeah, I was locked in, Iplayed fairly well and you know,
it was those moments where itwas like I haven't played like
that in a long time and I'm notused to it, and I just wanted to
confirm I was where I wassupposed to be I got and I feel

(30:23):
it in my soul, so I knew where Iwas supposed to be.
But I just wanted confirmationat times.
That's all it is.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
Uh, okay uh, justin thomas, want to give some love
to justin thomas and his, hisnew cad.
Well, it's not new Caddy, butfor playing at Harbortown.
He shot a 61, another courserecord.
His list of course records isvery impressive.
That was put out over theweekend.

(30:52):
Jeremy, you have playedHarbortown.
How impressive is a 61 fromthose tees.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Very, because that place is super tight.
I mean, he generally hits itpretty straight, I mean.
But the greens is the craziestpart, though, because the greens
look flat and they're tiny, super tiny greens and they're
just difficult, like when I wasthere, it was after the
tournament, a few weeks after, and they were still fast, but

(31:23):
like the practice green, theystill had it tournament speed
and it was ridiculously fast.
Like you can put it off thegreen.

Speaker 1 (31:31):
They didn't look good on TV.
They were a little, yeah, theylooked baked.

Speaker 4 (31:34):
They looked a little baked.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
A lot of brown pass.
I was like they zoomed in on acouple shots.
I'm like that doesn't look goodat all, but you know it's TV so
it's hard to justify, but I I'msure I mean it looked great
from what I watched, the courseyeah, the course is.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
It's like it's really target golf, like you have to
hit it.
There's some holes you whereyou can go after it.
It's a little wide open, butmost of the time you have to hit
specific shots, like off thetee into greens, like around,
around the trees it's.
It's like the shot he hit withhis three wood over the tree on
that par five, I think, 15.
That's insane because thatthose trees are freaking high.

(32:15):
Those are like the tallesttrees I've ever seen.
And they he just they just hitit over it.
I couldn't hit it over it, Ihad to go around.
But hitting a fairway over thatis crazy.
So those guys are good.
There's just a different game.
Like me shooting a 78 from thetournament tees, I was like
thrilled.
But those guys is not even thesame thing.

(32:38):
I mean 17 shots better.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
Yeah, that's a shot off.
Could you even imagine finding17 more shots?

Speaker 2 (32:49):
no, and I played like that was like one of the best
rounds in quite some time.
I don't know where I would make, maybe on the green, for sure
they're fucking good man.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
They're good, yeah, hey uh want to ask everybody
please send some good vibes uh,matt boyd's way on his way to
California right now.
His wife's going through somestuff and we want to make sure
positive vibes are sent out tohim and his family.
We got your brother Anything, let us know.
Hopefully you're not drivingwhile you're watching us on the
drive to California.

(33:20):
You are Just listen.
Please Don't watch Bright line, bright line.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
Bright line's coming, bright line's coming, please
don't watch Bright line.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
Bright line's coming.
Mr Jackson's in the Instagram.
How you doing.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
Steve Jax.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
He was a participant yesterday at the Topgolf
Invitational.
That was a lot of fun.
We had a good time.
Dan had a great time.

Speaker 4 (33:48):
As.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
Dan usually does.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
It was a scramble right.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
Yeah, it was a scramble.
There were 25 teams out there.
They had some nice gift bags, got a nice polo, a nice backpack
, a dozen balls.
What's the Flavor Toothpickbrand, Joe that, you know the
guy.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
Number 33.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
Number 33, Golf Flavor Some of those on the
carts, which fantastic flavor,great little.

Speaker 3 (34:23):
Yeah, if you chew on a tea, those things are
fantastic.
I don't chew on teas typically, but if you typically put a tea
in your mouth and just let ithang out, great flavor.
I had one in my mouth for therest of the whole day.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
Yeah, they're good.
And they also had a lot ofalcohol, a lot of alcohol in the
tea boxes.
And yeah, dan participatedheavily in that alcohol.
He drank my share, his share, maybe a little fosters, maybe a

(34:58):
little jacksons, uh, but yeah,he, he was having a good time.
Uh, dan is a very happy, intoxicated individual.
I will never forget.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
You started singing Pennywise.
What were you singing?
Nirvana, nirvana.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
He wasn't screaming.
The people that work on HorizonRidge, they could hear, dan,
was it just?

Speaker 4 (35:24):
reverberates through the canyon there nicely, so I
just took advantage of theacoustics.
Yeah, Steve Aoki was there.
He was over there throwingbirthday cakes and shit at
people.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Steve Aoki said I want to get married again, just
so I can invite Dan to thewedding.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
Who the chorus was in good shape though.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
Oh, it was in great shape.
It was in great shape.
I haven was in great shape.
It was in great shape so long, man, it's into the green
recently and like in two weeks, that place is going to be the
bees, that's gonna be titties, because it was, uh, it was
fantastic, um, great conditions.
We made a ton of long putts andmissed a bunch of short putts.

(36:11):
We turned in a 60 that veryeasily could have been a 56 or
55, with the putts that wemissed that we should have made.
They were tricky, they weretricky, we left.
The leader was a 50.
Jeez.
Yeah that's bullshit.
Yeah, there's no way.

(36:32):
I mean, the greens were way toohard for that to happen.
How did you guys play the 10th?
We all hit driver.
Oh wait, yeah, we all hitdriver.
I was just in front of therocks, in front of the green.
We had like a 60-yard flop shotover the rocks.

(36:53):
Dan Foster hit his a little bittoo far right, Steven Jackson
his kind of peeled off and wasback in the fairway a little bit
and something I'd never, everseen happen before Dan topped
his drive.

Speaker 4 (37:10):
Oh wow, I was going for it.
I hit a lot of bad drives.
I was over-swinging for thewhole day.

Speaker 3 (37:17):
You got a crew to back you up.
You got people to back you up.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
He did hit a very impressive 350-yard stinger on
number eight.
It was a beaut it was.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
Julian-esque number 10 is the, in my opinion, is the
worst hole on that golf course.

Speaker 3 (37:38):
It's the 12 of Laughlin Ranch.
That's what it is.

Speaker 4 (37:42):
I would rather play 12 of Laughlin than 12 it's the
dumbest fucking hole in thestate it really is.

Speaker 1 (37:49):
I don't know.
I mean I hit driver and thenhit a 58-degree wedge that
bounced off the flagstick and wehad a six-foot putt.
I think it's a great hole.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
I just don't like.
At least at 12 at Laughlin youcan kind of see where to hit it
sort of on 10.
You have no idea, it's all Iget there it's.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
It's like it's just, it's like 10 at lex.
It's like okay, they, everybodysays the house with the solar
panels, let's go there, you know.
So there it's like everybodysays hit it over the rocks.
Yeah, that's true, with matt isrolling the lab putter, you're
gonna throw the top of the driveto us as a partner because, if
you stroke with the lab.

Speaker 3 (38:27):
That's not happening anytime soon company man,
company man watch out, watch outwell, hey, hey, we do have some
.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
He's rocking the lab counterfeit we do have some good
wood headed our way.
So yeah, let's go.
We'll be chatting about thatshortly.
Shout out to he.

Speaker 4 (38:48):
Uh, he had the closest to the pin for a while
for a while we.
We came in and somebody knockedit.
To what was it?
Matt eight inches 11 inches 11inches.
That's what it was.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
Yeah, I was like oh lion ass, yeah, 11 inches, yeah,
and the long drive was 375 yeahyeah, there were some big boys
out there, that's the wholething 350-yard drive-on.

Speaker 3 (39:12):
Yeah, hammered it and still way, way short Scramble
tournaments are so interestingbecause you win, everyone thinks
you're lying anyway.
You know, even when we defeatedDerek Carr at Southern
Highlands, like people stillprobably thought we were lying,

(39:35):
you know, and it's scrambles arelike there's no way, that's out
there, that's not going tohappen.
You know, it's like I enjoy.
For me when I play in scrambletournaments.
It's just like to get out there.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
But man, man, some people were having fun, it was,
it was a great day, becausethere was no, there was no wind,
there was just a little breezehere and there, nothing crazy.
Um, it was nice chatting withall the people that were out
there.
We saw alex brown, he was outthere, and lindsey hoskins from,
uh, top golf, she was out there.
My boss was out there.
Um, um, saw Trey from legacyand I mean just a bunch of

(40:11):
people, a couple of customersthat have bought clubs from us,
uh, getting fit, were there andyou know it was, it was a good
time.
It was a good time.
The cat was there, yeah, the thetiramisu.
Oh, oh, my god, that was thebest tiramisu I've ever had.

(40:34):
It was phenomenal, absolutelyamazing.
So but yeah, um, dan, you wantto get into a little bit more
about it or you want to savethat for some other time?

Speaker 4 (40:40):
no, I think we got the gist of it your boy got a
little sloppy, that's all.
Matt had my back, took my keysfrom me, so we're all good.

Speaker 3 (40:54):
Dan has a great time.

Speaker 4 (40:55):
Along with golf.
You know you gotta make someswing changes in golf, but I
think I'm gonna make some lifechanges, so we're good to go.

Speaker 1 (41:04):
Yes, no, dan.
Dan is a very happy drunk, andthat's me I'm a when I was
drinking.
I'm a happy drunk and that's mewhen I was drinking.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
I'm a happy drunk.

Speaker 1 (41:11):
So, yeah, there's a little switch that happened and
kind of scared us for a littlebit, so we weren't sure what was
going on.

Speaker 3 (41:23):
Dan's one of the greatest guys I've ever known,
so life changes everything.

Speaker 4 (41:28):
In moderation, folks.
If you're out there listening, don't do too much shit out there
don't eat sugar every night.

Speaker 3 (41:36):
Don't eat sugar every night.

Speaker 1 (41:37):
I told him.

Speaker 3 (42:02):
They're losing, they're fucking losing.

Speaker 1 (42:03):
What the fuck?
What's the score Full?

Speaker 3 (42:06):
throttle or no throttles is what Stevie Jacks
said.

Speaker 1 (42:11):
Stevie Jacks was in a drawing for a Sun Cruiser bike
Sun.

Speaker 3 (42:16):
Cruiser bike.

Speaker 1 (42:18):
We got a bunch of teaboxes.

Speaker 4 (42:21):
I thought the girl was going to ride off the teabox
.
She almost crashed People sayit's as easy as riding a bike.
Not for this chick.

Speaker 1 (42:32):
Steve and I got in the car and he's like what is
she doing?
I was like dude, she almostrolled it off the tee box.
Yeah, and those tee boxes are,you know, it's not grass on the
outside of them, it's box.

Speaker 2 (42:53):
Yeah, it's.
Yeah, it's like jeremy at blackdesert, just yeah, oh, that

Go, buy a sick-ass steak fromButcher Shop.
Cook it yourself.
It's going to be just as good,or better.
Have some time alone.
Enjoy the weather, cook it howyou like, because you're going

(45:54):

this household.

I agree with Rob.
I was just going to say that Doa Brazilian, have you guys

Galleria Mall?
I've heard really good thingsabout it.

Speaker 2 (46:54):
Which one is that?

Speaker 1 (46:57):
Yeah, I think it's in the mall, it's on the outside
at the mall.

Speaker 2 (47:01):
