Golf is about finding what truly works for you - whether that's the right putter, the perfect course challenge, or that one magical shot that keeps you coming back for more.

This week, we dive deep into the surprising reality of equipment choices on the PGA Tour, revealing that despite Scotty Cameron's cult following among amateurs, the best putters in professional golf overwhelmingly choose Odyssey mallets. Our analysis of the top 25 strokes-gained leaders challenges conventional wisdom and might make you reconsider what belongs in your bag.

The conversation pivots to course conditions as we explore Coyote Springs' dramatic transformation. The maintenance team has allowed rough around bunkers to grow to punishing heights, creating "automatic penalties" for players who miss the fairway. This approach has turned an already challenging course into an even more formidable test - one that will humble even the most confident golfers. We compare its value against Piute, weighing factors beyond just price to help you decide which desert gem deserves your next tee time.

Dan shares the story of his recent albatross (or double eagle, depending on your preference), a statistical rarity even more uncommon than a hole-in-one. His driver-pitching wedge combination on a par 5 serves as a reminder that golf's most magical moments often arrive unexpectedly.

We also touch on Scottie Scheffler's dominant performance at the CJ Cup, where he tied the PGA Tour scoring record, and critique the disappointing television coverage of the recent Black Desert tournament that failed to showcase one of America's most visually stunning courses.

Whether you're debating your next equipment purchase, planning a Las Vegas golf trip, or simply looking for insights into what makes a golf course truly great, this episode delivers the perfect combination of practical advice and pure golf appreciation. for allowing us to use thatintro harmonic, uh.

(02:43):
So a quick rundown of some ofthe things that we may or may
not be talking about tonight, cause, you know, sometimes she
goes off the rails.
Big congrats to Yana Wilson forher victory over the weekend at
its Spanish trail, for herfirst career professional win on
the Epson tour.
She'll be in the LPGA field forLiberty National, which she's

(03:08):
an ambassador for.
Scotty Scheffler won before theRyder Cup, to the chagrin of
Phil Mickelson.
He dominated, absolutelydominated, had a birdie to shoot
the best score in a PGA Tourevent ever, but he tied it.
Black Desert refuses to have anygood coverage of any tournament

(03:34):
that they have out there.
Coyote Springs we were outthere.
It's in absolutely fantasticshape.
We haven't been out there.
Get out there right now becausethe course is in great shape
and had some crazy wind in thevalley valley and some crazy
weather yesterday too.
So, yeah, yeah.
Robbie nicks on the youtubewhat's joe going to do with that
phantom?
That head cover is not allowedin his bag.

(03:54):
That's a great point, joe.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
What are you gonna do with that?
For sure, yeah, no, I will sellit on my whatnot show.
I'm sure uh rob rob was deep inthe trenches with me yesterday
watching people make ballmarkers.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
So uh, yeah big slim, he was out, out in the out
there big slim was sending memessages saying you need to do
this, team up with joe would dothis, and I I meant to write it
back but I never did.
I was gonna tell him.
I said you know I make enoughmistakes doing it just by myself
.
So God forbid, live peoplebidding on it and I have to make

(04:31):
it in front of them.
That could not go well, but no,maybe we'll do it.
I don't know, we'll see.
Yeah, maybe one day, maybe oneday.
I do have a bunch of blank ballmarkers right now, so it is
something that we could do, butyou may have to do it really
much.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
I got all my shit over here.
The Goodwill around the corner.
I came up on a very nice FootJoy XL shirt with the Spanish
Trail logo on the sleeveembroidered.
So shout out, yana for that one.
I mean I had to grab it.
It was like six bucks, you know.
Very clean.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
What's the golf club selection been in there, because
it's never good.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
In Goodwill.
Yeah, it's trash.
I did grab a slotted PingAnswer an old one but you're not
going to find anything good.
I think they have people thatmonitor, like, what's going out
to the stores.
Um, I've even been to thegoodwill like the bins.
You know the bins where theyjust dump stuff, the clearance

(05:36):
place?
Um no, it's always old stuff,it's always never, never any the
slotted ping answer is prettycool yeah, somebody, somebody.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Uh didn't know what that was.
So what's up, miles, thanks forjoining the ig chat um brown in
the house miles brown in thehouse.
Um.
So let's talk coyote first, because that's where we were at.
Well, Dan played.
Hey, congrats on your albatross.
Sir.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
There we go.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
That's your first career albatross.
Yeah, first, one that'ssurprising as far as you hit the
ball.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Yeah, but still, there's a lot of luck involved
in that one.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Oh, of course there is, but I mean so, let's tell us
about the shot, let's go overit.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
I mean an albatross is kind of a big deal.
Yeah, it was, I forget what hole14 or something like that, 13
or 14.
What course Over there on theSun Mountain, par 5.
Hit a big drive.
It was downwind but hit a bigdrive.
I think Ty was probably like360 out, I was like 345, 350.

(06:50):
So we both hit pretty goodbombs out there.
And then, um, yeah, I had 165,uh, 158 was the cover over the
bunker and with all that wind Iwas just like you know what.
I think it's just a highpitching wedge and I hit it and
it went right at the flag andtook one bounce about four feet
short and the second bounce waspast the pin and we could just

(07:12):
see it kind of rolling towardsthe hole and it just disappeared
and kind of you got to see itgo.
Yeah, we actually could see itfrom the fairway so yeah, we all
kind of went nuts, we went nutsand then, you know, the camera
came out by the time I got tothe green.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
That's awesome, that's always so cool.
It was unexpected too, becauseTrey's a good looker now.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Well, yeah, so far he's been there for the
hole-in-one and the albatross, but yeah it was unexpected too,
because I was not playing well.
I hit a lot of bad shots, yeah, and all of a sudden that
happened.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
In Albie it's harder to hit than an ace, I think
Statistically that's what theysay.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
It's hard to get to the green for a lot of players.
What a flex.
I had an albatross driver thenpitching wedge yeah, all right,
still it's a two on a par fiveit's a two.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
Yeah, it was a cool moment.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
It was a cool moment, for sure how was, uh, how was
piute in that wind?
It's, you know it never playedout there in wind, I don't know
what it's like yeah, I mean, uh,you know how that is, but uh,
it's just, it's awesome did theygive you?

Speaker 3 (08:34):
a headdress or anything for that or like any?

Speaker 4 (08:37):
no, no, I didn't get nothing.
No table Table Copa.
Pelly mask no, peace pipenothing.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Oh man, no little bag of peyote or nothing man.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
You got to step up their game.
I know You're just 10% off atthe weed store.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
Right, can you give me a coupon or nothing?

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Yeah, a coupon for new at least.
Come on now.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
So, dan, since you've played coyote springs and piute
on back to back days, everybodyknows those are two of our
favorite places to play golf atout here.
What would you say, uh, is thebetter value right now, and take
into consideration I know a lotof people that aren't from
around here are going to freakout because piute's charging 300

(09:24):
bucks for golf right now, butwe, you know, have, uh, our ways
of getting reduced rates outthere, so, uh, it's a little bit
more comparable for us on pricepoint.
What would you say is morevaluable?

Speaker 4 (09:36):
well, um, that's a good question, I, I think.
I think right now that's a man,that's that's a good call,
because coyote Springs is inreally good shape.
But the thing about coyoteSprings is, even though it's
cheaper to play right now, youstill got to drive an hour out
there to get out there.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
And some people are going to hate that course, you
know, because those greens willkick you in the teeth and a lot
of people don't find the valuein that, you know, while people
like us would be like hell.
Yeah, you know, like you know,it is what it is and but for the
most part we enjoy those greensand we know, we know we're not

(10:18):
going to have a straight puttever.
We know it's going to be toughto even two putt out there.
But with piute you also have, you know, a little bit pricier
but it's a little bit more.
I think pi it's just alwaysmore consistently in good shape.
So you, you know what you'regoing to get when you go to
piute.
It's always going to be in goodshape.

(10:39):
The greens are always going tobe pretty good.
They they're usually just asfast, if not faster, than Coyote
Springs are, if you're intofast greens, and also a lot less
subdued so people can enjoythem more.
You can actually have them andstuff.
But yeah, so it just depends onwhat you value in a golf course.
But overall, right now, I meanthat's a tough call.

(11:02):
If I had to pick one, I'm goingto go with Coyote Springs right
now, only because Paiute'salways in that shape and is very
rare where Coyote Springs islike super, super tits, like it
is right now.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Fair point.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
So you know I'm going to go with Coyote Springs.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Yeah, they're punching soon.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Tuesday I think they started.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
You might not want to go to Coyote.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Springs right now.
Don't go right now.

Speaker 4 (11:30):
Next two weeks, two, three weeks.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Rob, you haven't had a question.
Side question Does anyoneprefer calling it a double eagle
over albatross?

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Double eagle.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
Double eagle, jeremy.
Joe, you're a double eagle, nolittle.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
No, no, I'm albatross , your albatross, dan.
Yeah, I'm gonna.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
I call it albie, and now I'll be yeah, um, yeah, I
kind of lean towards doubleeagle it sounds more proper.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Yeah, it doesn't I mean double eagle.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
Yeah, I don't proper, I'd have Double Eagle yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
I don't know, albatross is kind of like a
silly word to say a little bit.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
I've always thought Double Eagle Seems like
Albatross has gained traction inthe last couple of years.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
Yeah, but Double Eagle is two under right, so a
double would make it four, sothat means true.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
That's why I don't like Double Eagle.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
That's true, that's why I don't like double eagle.
That's true, joe.
I don't like saying albatross,so that's why I say an albie.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
What if you have more than one albatross?
Would it be albatry?

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Albatross Oz.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
What would be the multiple plural?

Speaker 3 (12:47):
We'll have to get albatrosseses yeah, he's the
albacore king man.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Double uh, beautiful golf courses chiming in on the
uh chat on instagram says piuteat best course in vegas is a
steal at 300 for tourists.
And uh y'all said, if I everget one, I'll call it whatever
yeah, that's yeah that's me, I,I, I'm, I'm happy, yeah uh let's

(13:15):
see sorry to bring this up.
I like that miles brown says uhsorry to bring this up, but for
me went the end of 26th band inlottery and no one hit.
All four have band in history, but for what happened?

Speaker 3 (13:32):
He's talking about not getting in the band in
lottery when you've been before.
Is that what you're talkingabout, Miles?

Speaker 1 (13:38):
Sorry to bring this up, but for me went for the end
of 26, 26 band and lottery andno one hit I think, that people
that have have been abandonedbefore did not get picked for
picked for the lottery, whichI've heard from someone else
also.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
Um, I, yeah, I, you know, luckily, luckily we have
been blessed to have been therea few times um, so it sucks,
right, but there are otheroptions, right?
Um, you know, and it's justlike the masters.

(14:18):
None of us have ever hit forthe masters lottery tickets.
We do know somebody that wentrecently, but A couple people.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
It's tough man.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
Golf is fucking popular man and it's cool, but
it sucks for those of us thatactually truly appreciate it.
You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
Mike's asking what's the goal of the lottery to get
more people new people out there, or prioritize those who've
already been?
It's got to be to get newpeople out there.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
I would think so, right, there are other ways.
The.
So what people misunderstandabout the lottery is the lottery
is for the rooms, really Right?

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Yeah, Stay, stay in play stay on property.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
Me and Dan went.
We we booked 30 days out andhad a blast just staying at the
lamplighter.
Shut out the lamplighter, racefood place, banning coffee.
You're staying in the city.
It was or the town or thevillage, if you will.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Yeah, I mean there's perks to staying on the resort
and I highly recommend you do it.
But there's also perks for notstaying on the resort, and you
got to decide what you want.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
If anybody's gone and stayed off property, you need
to stay on property.
If you've gone and stayed onproperty, you need to go and
stay off property.
There's benefits to both sides.
Yes, like I don't know, man, there's benefits to both just to

(15:56):
be able to walk semi runthrough your wall.
You know they got got spaceheaters all over the place.
You're closer to Wilson'sMarket that way too.
That's a benefit.
Shout out Wilson's.
I don't like the lottery either, Miles.
Luckily, we've been a coupletimes.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
We've all seen the new lodging and the new courses.
What is this pappy?
Oh, people are having fun inthe chat.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
Keep it up, keep going.
It's buckley's, it's buckley's,buckley's.
Shout out buckley's tavern,wilmingmington, delaware.
Go check that place out.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
Great place.
Okay, who, if anybody, watchedthe Black Desert for the LPGA?
I was excited about this one,and then they got kind of shit
on for TV because the tournamentin Texas got rain delayed and
pushed back and so the footagethat was going to be on Golf
Channel ended up being the PGATour, and so you didn't get a

(17:07):
lot of TV time.
And the TV time that they didhave, again showing the same
freaking holes over and overagain, it's like 14, 15, 16, 17
was all they showed, and I justdon't get it.
It's such an amazing place.
I mean, this is where theyoutube golfers if you want to

(17:31):
see black desert for what it is,go start watching youtube and
and hit up some of the contentcreators that are out there,
because that's how you're goingto see it, and maybe that is
what will get me excited aboutYouTube.
Golf is being able to seeplaces that need to be seen,
that aren't being shown whenthey're given golden

(17:53):
opportunities to show it.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
The thing about YouTube, too, is like when you
watch, like what's Brian brosand grant doing their major
series, like you get to seecourses from angles and from the
ground that you never see, evenduring like major coverage yeah
so it's.
I think.
I mean I I think most of themost of the tournament that I
saw was like youtube highlightsand instagram highlights of

(18:18):
black desert.
That's all I saw and I probablymore you know coverage.
Yeah, I think you're right.
I think YouTube that's that'san advantage is people are on
the ground, they, they show youthe facilities that you can kind
of get the experience withoutbeing there, and that just
doesn't happen on PGA tourcoverage, no at all, and it's
it's such a miss, it's such amiss.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
Yeah, what were you going to say?

Speaker 3 (18:44):
Black desert is so good.
You know they, even during thethe pga tournament that they
played out there, they did nothighlight and show off that
course as well as it should havebeen shown off, you know?
Um, obviously the landscape isprobably pretty difficult to
throw cameras everywhere whenyou can look for your ball and

(19:07):
scrape your knee, just likeJeremy did.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
Hey, here's a no-pro.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
It is a spectacular course.
I'm thankful that we all got toplay it together before it got
highlighted because it'sincreased in pricing.
But it's definitely a sickcourse that should be
highlighted.
And St George is no longer thesecret that it was four years

(19:36):
ago.
You know that is true.
So much good golf out in StGeorge so much.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Mark commenting.
Michelle, we commented on thenumber of cameras dedicated to
LPGA events versus PGA events.
Not sure how accurate it is,but she thinks she said it's
like 12.
On course, cameras to 100.
Jeez, I wouldn't doubt that uhrobbie says the contract is
horrible, but black desertdoesn't have access space for
many holes four through seven, but mostly the back is open.
Yeah, but I mean you can stillshow.

(20:03):
I mean god still show as you'rewalking out there, record a
couple holes just to get somefootage to show people.
There's some great holes thatget zero coverage.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
You need the Goodyear blimp.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
Yeah, even saw the lights of the Goodyear blimp and
a red black desert's a pant.
Shut our ice cube.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
Oh goodness gracious, All right.
Scotty Scheffler Stuck at theold Phil Mickelson in a big way
by dominating the CJ Cup.
I was watching telecast.
They said that that course isgoing through big renovations,
be some big changes next year, which it seems like almost every

(20:51):
course now is.
They have an event.
Oh, we're going through changesso it'd be interesting to see
what they do.
I really liked that 17th hole, that par three it's got.
You know they're trying to makeit have some, you know, phoenix
vibes for the par three, notquite there yet but they're
working on it.
Um, scotty, just lit, lit thatplace up on unbelievable what he

(21:17):
did.
Um, a couple did he shoot twodifferent 29s or 29 and a 30 on
the front, just blitz, the fieldWasn't even close.
And you know, congrats to himBack in the winner's circle
keeping his streak at worldnumber one alive.
He surpassed Dustin Johnson onthe list for consecutive weeks

(21:41):
at number one, so he's workinghis way up there.
List for consecutive weeks atnumber one.
Uh, so he's, he's working hisway up there.
Uh, my, says brian or, was outthere for the pga tour and they
told him to photograph thegolfers only, not the course.
Wow, that's.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
That's smart I, I, yeah, I know, highlight the
course man, bring people to yourcourse.
Uh, big news coming out ofScotland.
Hey, did you guys see that?
Royal Dornick.

Speaker 1 (22:09):
No.

Speaker 3 (22:10):
You didn't see the Royal Dornick news, king Collins
.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
No.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
Doing a new course at Royal Dornick.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Was that on a whatnot show?
Is that how you found out aboutit?

Speaker 3 (22:22):
No, no, I'm in tune with golf architecture news.
I try to be at leastarchitecture news.
I try to be at leastarchitecture news.
I try to be at least.
Uh yeah, king collins submittedtheir.
Uh, yeah, king collinssubmitted.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
I wonder when the last new course was in that area
.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
Doak's done some stuff out there I mean Marrakesh
.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
Dunes Marrakesh Dunes New stuff or revisions and
restorations.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Is this a new course?
They're building.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
I think they're reno-ing some of Royal Dornick
and they're building a newcourse.
They're building, they're, Ithink they're, I think they're
uh renoing some of royal dornickand they're building a new
course on the side.
So, um, I mean there's a lot ofnew courses out there.
Uh, tom doke, I think he didone back.
I mean that's got to be 15years ago now.
But uh, I want to say it's notmarrakesh, it's Mironic Dunes or

(23:31):
something like that.
But David McClade, kid of bandand fame, did one on the Isles
of Scotland off to the west, andthat place looks sick.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
Kendall's giving you a little love.
Joe, do you ever get tired ofbeing the most researched guy in
the group?

Speaker 3 (23:48):
Never, never.
No, my goal in life is to playthem all.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
uh, joe, do you ever get tired of being the most
researched guy in the groupnever, never, no, no, no.

Speaker 3 (23:51):
My.
My goal in life is to play themall that's about I find out
from him.
That's my new zip source I'm noteven looking it up though.
I just, I just appreciate it, Ilove it.
You know, I want to check everycourse off in the world that I
can, and I'm not going to beable to get to do that, I know.
But uh, I want to play them alland uh, I want to know about
them all.
So, and I'm not always right, but I'm I'm probably in the

(24:17):
hemisphere, you know close, if,if anything, you're very close.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
You're not.
That's.
That's good, though we need weneed you we need you for that
stuff.
It's important it's important, alright, so Coyote, we talked
about, which one's a little bit.
Oh wait, hang on.

Speaker 2 (24:41):

Speaker 4 (24:57):
Did you play when you were there?
The Castle course at St Andrews.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
Yeah, I think it's the.

Speaker 4 (25:04):

Dunes, golf club Naren is fairlynew near Royal Dornish and
Castle Stewart and if you guysdon't know, national Customs,

He's their social media guy, sohe posts all the time from
Makrohana students.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
I'll have to check that one out.
Yeah, there's so many courses Ihave no idea about.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
There's so many.
I don't think I'm a moron tothe courses that are out there,
but there's so many, there's somany that I'm just like, okay,
those courses in Morocco on that, where there's, like you know
yeah, or on turkey and turkey, yeah, yeah like seven miles of
golf courses back to back, toback, to back to back.

(26:17):
It's like good lord, so manygolf courses macarona students
look so sick.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
I'm gonna have to send you some pictures.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
Greenlee's here what's?

Speaker 4 (26:30):
up Greenlee In the house.
What up?

Speaker 3 (26:36):
Greenlee, I need a BGT shaft.
Let me know.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Here it comes.
He needs it by Monday too.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
No, I don't need it by Monday.
I'm curious whatic's thoughtsare on scotty's tearing up craig
ranch, because he's playedthere.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
He's familiar he lit that place up.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
Yeah, let's see if I could find that picture.
I thought it was a joke when Isaw him at.
What was he after two rounds 17under 18 under?
It was a joke when I saw him.
What was he after two rounds 17?

Speaker 1 (27:09):
under 18.
Under.
It was ridiculous, Absolutelyridiculous.

Speaker 4 (27:13):
I was like what the fuck is this?
That can't be real.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
There it is.

Speaker 4 (27:18):
I thought they started on a Wednesday.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
Look at those beautiful, beautiful putting
sticks.

Speaker 4 (27:27):
Golf ball whacker things.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
Golf ball whacker.
Things as Dave said.
Things as uh dave said.
So jeremy's is in the upperleft.
Uh, he got what finish, is that?
What'd you call that?

Speaker 2 (27:36):
um acid wash.
I think acid something and dan.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Dan was the mallet guy, um, and you can't see the
face on this, but the face isgorgeous.
Uh, joe, joe got the giraffe.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
I've been wanting one for years years.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
I've seen that.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
Olsen putter you had.
I need one of these guys.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
And that's mine on the end.
There Just went with thetraditional raw.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
Max torque.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
Deep milled on the.
I don't know if anybody can seethat the bumpers max torque on
the bumpers, just because youknow why not.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
I'm probably going to have you pull out my puller out
of the Olsen, just to get it inthere just to have something to
put with yeah, I'm excited.
What great work by Goodwood.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
They're just gorgeous .
Let's see Eric's responding toScotty.
Not to take away from what hedid, but he knows the course
inside and out, which helps, butthe way he was playing right
now it's crazy.
I was a member there for fiveyears and never seen close to
that.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
Yeah, yeah, robbie said.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
Castle for five years and never seen close to that.

Speaker 3 (28:51):
Yeah, yeah, I mean robbie said you're definitely
not you're definitely not takinganything away from them there.

Speaker 1 (28:55):
Let's see, oh, mike, you've gone, of course is having
fun.
Uh, no, those are not labputters.
Uh, he said he loved themallets and, uh, my face is
going to be twisting.
Yeah, it's going to havemaximum torque on that, on that
putter.
So, yeah, yeah, these, thesebad boys will be here soon.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
So you get the little cdps on the hosels and uh, yeah
, so except jeremy's, jeremydidn't get his on there yeah, it
was.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
It was going to be a little difficult to put lame
loser.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Yeah, I think you can look right with that okay.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
Do you think jeremy's actually gonna use this on the
golf course more than one time?
Because oh, I'm using it.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
He still has it okay every time.
I mean I'm gonna try it out andsee if it's better than the
scotty.
But yeah if it's not betterthan scotty, you're not using it
right, which currently, anything would be better than
the scotty he's, he's in alittle putting conundrum right
now yeah, I'm excited to try it.
I've never had a.
I did no milling, I did asmooth face.

(30:03):
I've never had that before, sowhere?

Speaker 4 (30:06):
are you?
That's my face.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
Huh yeah, oh shit joe , what, what milling did you do
on yours?

Speaker 3 (30:14):
uh, the, the mid or whatever, the typical milling.
Okay, that you would see yeah,I do.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
So.
We got a smooth, a deep, aregular, and then dan's is kind
of unique.
You'll have to see it whenhe'll he'll be showing it.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
Yes, yeah, he'll be sharing it all over social media
you guys will see it.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
Post so much.
It's gonna be a photo shoothe's everywhere you have to turn
on the reminders and make sureyou have your phone closed,
otherwise it'll be lost forpictures the pictures will be
there.

Speaker 4 (30:46):
Let's see what is.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
It was may 7th review on youtube, like they'll
probably be there, like may 9th,10th, 2026, stay tuned.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
2026 oh yeah, I forgot.
I took the picture of my newpartner a year ago pictures.

Speaker 4 (31:02):
The pictures will be the fucking for sale pictures
greenleaf's commenting on cj cut.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Uh, we'll see next year.
They signed an eight-yearextension and they blew the
course up on monday, so we'llsee the scores next year with
the changes.
Nice, nice and we're.
We're a week away from a majoryeah, yeah.
Which is wild?

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Dude the coverage.
Some of the video.
Get ready for your blockyreferences again.
Yeah, for sure, philadelphiaCricket Club looks so sick.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
We got that and Oakmont coming up.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
Yeah, we got Philly Cricket Club and then Oakmont
sick.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
I mean Quail Hollows.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
You know, we've seen it too many times with the Wells
Fargo right.
That's the Wells Fargo what is,where is?

Speaker 4 (32:05):
Quail Hollows PGA Championship, oakmont's US Open,
oakmont's Father's Day weekend,so we gotta wait on that.

Speaker 3 (32:12):
So we go Philly Cricket Club, we go Oakmont and
then we play right.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
No, oakmont is US Open.
I know that just majors.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
Where's the open?

Speaker 3 (32:26):
oh, it's PGA US Open few weeks away.

Speaker 4 (32:28):
but the Where's the Open?
Oh, it's PGA.
Okay, us Open, pga's first andthen.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
US Open A few weeks away.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
Yeah, but they did take all those.

Speaker 4 (32:37):
They took all those influencers from the Grass
League.
Oh yeah, they flew them over toOakmont.
They played Oakmont, I guess.
Yeah, saw a bunch of videosfrom the rough.
It's just a lot of that fromthe.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
The rough is just lucky bastards.
Man right, I think you see thatst andre today went up to grant
horvart and said we're givingyou 10 equity in the in the
channel.
That was so funny.
Oh, those guys are hilariousthey are good oh what I said
they are good.

(33:11):
Oh, that's something else, mybad, all right.
Um, so I had.
I did a post earlier today.
Let me bring this up because II thought this was going to get
a little bit more traction.
It wasn't, you know, out theretrying to uh get any.
You know, wasn't like anintentional trying to get
something out there, but it wassome good information because
zire put out a post and, uh, itwas talking about the top 25

(33:37):
players in the world and theputters are using there's no
labs and blah, blah, blah.
There's a reason and you know, took a lot of god.
How many people sent that to me, good lord so many people sent
that to me, uh.
And so, uh, a lot of, a lot ofpeople in the comments were,
like, you know, top 25.
The world doesn't really matter, let's go with the top 25
putters on tour.

(33:58):
So this these are the top 25strokes gained leaders on the
pga tour for the 2025 season.
And uh, so all I did was I gotthe list from the PGA Tour
website and then I just did asearch for what's in the bag
2025.
What are you laughing at, dan?

(34:20):
Greenlee, greenlee His commentoh Pulls a DJ to open one of my
cups, oh All right pulls a dj toopen one of the cops.

Speaker 4 (34:42):
All right, uh.
So, uh, what to you guys?
What?

Speaker 2 (34:43):
stands out on this.

Speaker 4 (34:43):
Sam burns a lot of odyssey, a lot of odyssey and
zach johnson is a hell of aputter with not using one at all
I couldn't find what he wasplaying.

Speaker 1 (34:49):
I don't know if it's a Seymour still, or if it's a
PXG or what but, nobody gives ashit what's in his bag.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
Honestly, how much people love Scotty Cameron's?
And there's only one in the topten.
You got a cluster at 19, 20, 21, and people will die on a sword
for a scotty cameron.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
No doubt about it, right odyssey yep, top six like
90 or these are mallets exactlythat's the big thing that I mean
.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
Um, I think zach johnson, his is a blade.
Um, harry plays kind of like adouble wide blade and let's see
what other one was.
The Betty from Jacob Bridgmanwas a blade, but everything else
is mallets I mean, they mustreally like their covers over,

(35:46):
hanging over their bags.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
You know that's they're playing for money.
I'm not, don't think they careexactly all right.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
Green said it is a pxg.
It's a copy of a seymour.
It doesn't exist.
There are five of them.
I have his backup.
Oh, look at you, fancy.
I'll put that on the list.

Speaker 3 (36:05):
Green leaves putter I mean yeah, so most of them are
mallets, right.
But like, yes, when peoplethink about like the putter they
want right, most people thinkscotty cameron, they need us, I
need a scotty cameron, right.
Most people they don't ever sayI need to get an odyssey that

(36:29):
it's it's changing I want ascotty, but they need an odyssey
I think,

Speaker 1 (36:37):
they need a mallet one of the lures of the cameron
stuff is a circle t because it'stour used and they're out there
on the market and you can getone.
You know you can get a tourplayed, scotty cameron or design
built for the tour, you knowand so that those are it's.

Speaker 3 (36:57):
I understand all that , but it's like, if you're a
collector, I get that right.
If, like, like, jeremy is ahuge scotty fan and that's how
he grew up and that's what heplays, which I want jeremy to
get a circle t, because one likeit'll fulfill his dream because
that's what he's played for hislife, right, I mean, he's a,

(37:21):
he's a diehard, you know, whichI totally understand.
But for newcomers coming intothe game, they see that name and
they're like that's what I need, that's how I can put better.
If I have the quality of scottycameron, I will put better.
But, and that's the whole thing, it's like things work

(37:46):
different for different peopleand find what works for you.
That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (37:50):
That's all I'm saying no, it used to be like the
allure was because the pricelike scotty was the highest
price putter you could get, andnow it's like middle of the road
.

Speaker 1 (38:01):
Yeah, true yeah yeah, yeah, I mean you can go in the
golf store and competitivelyfind a Scottie.
That's not going to break thebank in relation to some of the
other putters that are out therenow.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
So it has changed.

Speaker 1 (38:17):
Rob, Only one ping my how times have changed.
And that's funny, because thatping putter was a Sigma 2, so
it's got that rubber face.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
Oh yeah, Oldie.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
It's wild to see that in there.
It's a good putter, though.
That's super soft feel, supersoft feel.

Speaker 3 (38:37):
Do you think the name on the putter actually means
anything, or do you think thatOdyssey might fit players on
tour better than other brands?

Speaker 1 (38:54):
Well, I mean there is club deals.
So some of those guys are fullbag staffers that you know
they're required to play anOdyssey putter.
There are a lot of players thatdon't have a 14 bag contract uh
, you know 14 putter or 14 clubcontract, that they're putters
generally, they can playwhatever they want.
Um, I don't know, I just think,well, that's what I'm getting

(39:17):
at is why.

Speaker 3 (39:18):
Why is odyssey the top?
Is it because they pay thebetter putters or because they
are able to put good players inputters that fit them better?
Why are they.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
I think odyssey has the biggest variety of putters.
I would say that yes, yeah, that's a big, that's the answer.

Speaker 1 (39:39):
I was looking for yeah well, I mean let's see
because, uh, sam burns is a setnumber seven, sam Sam Ryder's a
number seven.
Tri-hot 5K number seven.
So three of the top four areall the Fang Blade or Fang
Mallet.

Speaker 4 (39:57):
Yeah, but they're all different.
They're all different models ofthat, yeah, they're different.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
I mean, it's just A.

Speaker 4 (40:01):
Y-Hot a Rossi, a Tri-Hot like.

Speaker 1 (40:04):
Those are just the inserts though Some of these put
.
Much the same design are old, yeah.
I was just gonna say that, yeah, that works yeah that's like 10
years old now mm-hmm, oh, youmean I shouldn't just randomly
buying clubs every time I go toLas Vegas Superstore?
No, do that too, do that tooyeah, shut up Las Vegas

(40:27):
Superumer store.
Therapy for you.
Yes, that is true, but yeah,it's, I mean.
I mean they make good putterstoo.
It's not like it's crap, youknow.
It's not like they're.
They're playing zebra putter.
No, I'm just kidding, it's notlike they're playing, you know,
crap.
There it's crap.

(40:48):
There it's a.
It's a good putter and there'sa.
There's a lot of tech in theface.
I think that's why you'reseeing a lot of those guys play
those types of putters that theyget that feedback and response
from, and you just you don't seean all milled odyssey anymore.
They just they don't.
They all have inserts.
Now they're doing milledinserts, but all milled faces.
Just you know the.
The feedback that they'regetting now from players is they
want that different insert feel.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
So that's the way it's going I'd be curious to see
how that looks over the pastlike five years, because odyssey
loves to say number one putteron tour, which is justified by
that, you know.
So it's, uh, I'm curious whatit is, and I think jeremy hit it
.
It was jeremy, right, that said, you know, they're able to fit

(41:32):
players easier and they have somany styles that work for
different players, sointeresting it was interesting.

Speaker 1 (41:44):
I thought I was going to get a little bit more
traction, but all right, we see.
We'll see what happens.
Wait till the lab boys find outabout it.
And then they they found myFacebook page over the weekend
and Holy crap Did that.
I got almost another millionviews just on Facebook over the
last IP address is one nine twopoint.

Speaker 3 (42:04):
Two point four point.

Speaker 1 (42:09):
So, yeah, that was great, and this time I just
decided to let the boys have funwith it.
And speak your mind and havefun with it.
Now, if somebody says somethingthat was blatantly incorrect, I
felt obligated to correct them.

Speaker 3 (42:27):
You're obligated.
You couldn't help yourself.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (42:30):
I'm helping the world educate themselves.
But I mean, how many times doyou have to say if you can't
afford a lab putter, just say so.
That's like the number onecomment from all of these, which
is it's too funny.
But uh yeah, that that was ifyou get.

(42:51):
If you want to see some goodhumor, go check out the 1440
Facebook page.
You'll see the same post.
And uh yeah, the comments areunreal.
People have way too much timeon their hands.

Speaker 2 (43:05):
That's all I got.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
Kind of a slow week.
Oh, you know what?
We didn't talk about coyote.
We talked a little bit about it, but I wanted to talk about uh
I I'll bring up this pictureagain because I I share this on
my instagram page and the, uh,the what they're doing around
the bunkering is just absolutelywild.
They are letting it grow, uh,and it is thick controversial,

(43:34):
if you will I mean, wow, love it, it's.
I don't know if you guys can,you know, zoom in if you can on
instagram or not, but uh, wild, how much they're letting the
grass around the bunkers grow.
And and a couple people sent memessages and I I say it's, it's
an automatic penalty.
Now, if you're in that grassjust off the rough and that

(43:56):
thick stuff, it's, it's anautomatic penalty because you're
not advancing the ball at allif you can find it, even if you
can find it if you can find it.
I mean, how many times were weout there?
We rolled right by balls thatwere like Holy shit, it was
right there.
Um, it's, it is nasty, nasty, nasty.
We have a major coming up therein September for the VGN and oh

(44:19):
my, um, yeah, if they continue, and you can see, they're all
around, it's all around, they'reall around, it's all around.
It's not just in one spot, itis all around the course.
So it's, uh, it's made adifficult course, even harder,
which is hard to fathom ifyou've played out there and know
how much that course can kickyour ass.

(44:40):
So be aware you're not in thefairway, I love I love, I love
it, I love what they're doing.
Oh, I do too it.
It looks so good too, becauseit just it looks raw.
Yeah, golf was that.
I played there two weeks ago.
It kicked my ass.
Yeah, yeah, it guilty.

Speaker 3 (45:00):
Yeah, I gotta have ass whooping myself I just love
going out there and just playingbecause it's such a incredible
course, like when I go out there, like it's like, score is
irrelevant, it's hit the shots, find the shot that you need to
hit and hit it if you can't hitthe next one.

(45:21):
You know that's.
I truly appreciate and lovecoyote springs because it's
something that we don't haveanywhere else in Las Vegas.
I'm happy that we have a coursethat will test you and if
you're feeling confident in yourgame, go play there and it will
humble.
It was a reality, you know it's.

(45:42):
It will test every part of yourgame and that's what a great
golf course will do.
And it will test every part ofyour game.
And that's what a great golfcourse will do and it will test
the best players, the worstplayers Best course we have, I
think.

Speaker 1 (46:01):
Hey, golfo, what was your experience like?
How did you enjoy it at least?
I know you said it kicked yourass and you drove all the way
from colorado for it, but didyou enjoy it at least.
Did you have a good time?
Did you like the course or didyou, you know, regret driving?
Out here for that curious tohear your thoughts on that and I

(46:22):
hope I hope they build thesecond course.

Speaker 3 (46:24):
Hope that's happening he loved it.

Speaker 1 (46:27):
Awesome, great to hear.
Great to hear.

Speaker 4 (46:30):
Yeah, that's not happening.
How do you know it's nothappening?

Speaker 1 (46:32):
I have my sources.

Speaker 4 (46:34):
You need to talk to certain people.

Speaker 1 (46:36):
Talk to certain people, ask certain questions,
get certain answers.
Yeah, not happening anytimesoon.

Speaker 4 (46:41):
I guess the money's going to that city of North Las
Vegas tower.
Yeah, yeah, right, I'm all intothat.

Speaker 1 (46:48):
Oh, I don't know what a stranger seeing that.
Or the giant naked donald trump, too funny.
And jeremy got a little lessonon the flop shot uh, from joe
and was hitting freaking flopshots all over the place so he

(47:10):
was killing it, dude.

Speaker 2 (47:12):
I've always loved the flop, it's just I never felt
the need to take a full swingnext to the green flop but it
worked almost.
Hold it twice on 18 the higherthe club head speed, the softer
it lands yeah, spinny, spinnyjoe is just standing there like

(47:32):
moist watching you swing.

Speaker 3 (47:35):
I'm sitting there, stop it, stop it, you're not
allowed to do that anymore Imean jeremy was like, uh, what
was that at memorial when tigertook that full swing from the
right side of the pin?
Yeah, yeah, I mean, that wasthat was Jeremy.
Jeremy Martin, right there, jayMartin, just Tiger in full
swing.

Speaker 1 (47:55):
Flop a doodle do.

Speaker 2 (47:57):
Full commitment Yep.
You have to be committedbecause, if there's any doubt,
you're just belating that ahundred yards.

Speaker 1 (48:04):
Oh, dan was.
Dan was ready.
He was playing.
You know, save saved the ballgoing in the water and didn't
need to ready he was ready?

Speaker 3 (48:10):
never a doubt.
Never a doubt, jeremy, never, never a doubt um, so yeah, so
now, that's all I got and also,if it went in the water, then
you don't need to play that ballno more because you are a
flopper champion.

Speaker 1 (48:28):
Yeah, no need to have that ball in your bag yep so,
uh, yesterday uh promoted um,hope you come and see matt at
his work.
Hey, nice, yes, please come by.
Um, I'll let you know.
Send me a message, I'll let youknow where we're going to be.
Um, uh, whatnot, uh take five.

(48:49):
Uh was having his show wassupposed to be tonight and uh he
how he obtained this haul fromswag.
It's, it's unbelievable, thestuff that he's got.
It's pretty crazy.
It is, I mean, crazy.
Steven jackson, uh was I I showwas showing him some stuff and
and I'm sure his eyes were justlike whoa.

(49:10):
He went to start the showtonight and the internet was out
, so they had no internet in hisarea so he could not do the
show.
It was a train wreck.
Whatnot?
Live stream?
I was watching it because he'strying to troubleshoot this with

(49:34):
people in the chats.
There's a lot of assholes onthere, but there's some funny
shit also.
People are like, are you goingto list that broken router
Started at a dollar.
But you got a little bit of asign behind the scenes of his
