Oakmont Country Club takes center stage as the guys dive into what promises to be a brutal US Open. The fairways are narrow, the rough is overgrown, and the greens are lightning fast – exactly how golf's ultimate test should be. Stories from pros' practice rounds reveal a course that will thoroughly punish anything less than precision golf.

The conversation shifts to an unexpected controversy when their golf course rankings sparked outrage among followers. Wolf Creek Golf Club's placement at #24 in the Vegas region ignited fierce debate, with many arguing it deserves top-10 national status. The hosts stand firm on their assessment, explaining that while the course offers spectacular visuals, its playability issues and marathon pace of play justified its ranking. This segment highlights how subjective course ratings can be, often influenced by what golfers are accustomed to playing.

Joe shares his recent Scottsdale golf adventure, where he discovered TPC Stadium Course offered more enjoyment than he anticipated. Meanwhile, Matt provides insider perspective on why Wynn Golf Club charges $800 per round – it's intentionally priced to maintain exclusivity and cater to high-end casino patrons who view golf as merely an amenity. This discussion reveals the fascinating economics behind Vegas golf's premium experiences.

The episode wraps with US Open predictions, featuring picks ranging from favorites like Scottie Scheffler to dark horses like Patrick Cantlay and Ludvig Åberg. Along the way, the guys announce plans for future equipment giveaways once they reach specific social media follower milestones – giving loyal listeners chances to win putters, drivers, and other gear. Subscribe to their channels and join the conversation about golf's biggest topics, all delivered with the authentic, unfiltered perspective that makes Chasing Daylight unique.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
what is up everybody?
Welcome to another episode ofthe Chasing Daylight Podcast.
Clearly there's some shit goingon with Instagram.
It's not liking us, so Iapologize for those wanting to
watch Instagram tonight Again.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
I don't know what's going on, but Joe's here tonight
so he can fill in while Itinker once we get to that.
But I do want to say a quickthank you to Shannon from 13
Brewing.
Last week he left a message andJoe wasn't here to help me fill
dead air because I was tryingto figure out Instagram and I
forgot to get his message.

(01:00):
And then I also found out Ididn't have repeat the live chat
on the replays, so I couldn'tget his message again.
So, shannon, if by any chanceyou're watching, please, you
know, hop on and let us knowwhat that question was because,
uh, I I didn't want you to thinkthat we forgot about you, so
how are you guys doing tonight?
Good everybody all geeked upfor a brutal US Open that's

(01:27):
forthcoming.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Can't wait so stoked.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
So Jeremy said before we hopped on that he was
watching the Grand Horvart.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Horvart.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Horvart.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Horvart.
I like Horfart better.
I was watching that video ofthem out there and said that you
know they're just gettingdestroyed.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
No, they got battered yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Oh my God.
And this afternoon I watchedBryson.
Yeah, mike's got it right righthere Beautiful golf course.
Instagram sucks, yes.
So watched Bryson's video wherehe recorded every swing and,
yeah, the course was wet andsoft that day, so you know a lot
of his shots into the greenfrom the rough stayed on the

(02:19):
green and, yeah, I don't thinkit's going to be that easy.
Come, come, uh, a couple daysfrom now.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
So are you?
Are you talking about the like, the, the influencer day that
they played like, probably lastweek?

Speaker 1 (02:34):
because I watched no no no, no, this was just him.
He was just out there with hiscaddy, uh, and an oakmont caddy,
and his film crew and it wasjust him.
And he played the whole course, started on the back nine and,
uh, he shot.
Even he had a putt for birdieon 18.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
I watched the uh, I watched the whole saint andre
and uh sunny episode.
Uh group group chat golf memes.
I watched that whole episoderandomly and uh yeah, it's sunny
is a, is a, a.
One handicap plus one, I can'tremember.
But yeah, he got.
He got eight and alive.

(03:14):
I'm so stoked, I love it.
Let the brutalness commence.
Yeah, hey, and it's fair too.
You just gotta hit the, yougotta hit the fairway, you gotta
hit the green.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
It's all there is to it easy so yeah, those greens
they look crazy man like you.
They look flat, but the balljust trickles.
It's like continuous tricklesall the way to the sides, to the
front, to the back.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yeah, yeah, it's nuts .

Speaker 3 (03:46):
I love it losing balls in the rough.
I mean you barely hit it offthe rough.
I mean there's like adefinitive line where the
fairway is and then, other thanthat, you're buried.
Miss the green I send you.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
I think I might only send it to matt, but I probably
sent it to the chat where JeffMarsh pulled a, a SWAT ball true
, vis SWAT ball out of the rough, Like that shouldn't be there.
But it's there because it's.
It's grown up crazy.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Yeah, I love it.
It looks like it's theweather's supposed to be nice
Thursday and then it's rain therest of the time, so it's going
to be swampy in that rough.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Yeah, Oakmont's sick.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Stuck for it.
The course is incredible.
It's absolutely incredible.
It's an amazing design Brysonwas talking about.
This is the only design the guyhad.
It was his only golf course hedesigned.
It's hard.
It's narrow the bunkers.
They've added some depth to thebunkers.
They did get rid of a lot ofthe trees.

(04:53):
That doesn't bother me.
It bothered a lot of thetraditionalists.
But I like it being open likethat and you know it's going to
be a challenge.
It's gonna be.
We say this every year.
I mean, dustin Johnson won fourunder last time and it wasn't
this thick.
I think the USGA is at a pointwhere they're like, no, we're

(05:16):
not doing it anymore, we're notdoing 21 under and you know,
let's, let's, let's seriouslychallenge these guys.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
I love it.
It but dj is not in it, I canguarantee you that.
But um I love it.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Yeah, yeah, definitely not going to be a
repeat for him.
I he's not the same golfer hewas back then, um, so yeah, uh,
so I I highly encourage anybodyif you haven't watched the
Bryson thing, go watch it.
I'm going to watch Grant'svideo later on tonight and we'll
see it's that show on YouTubethere's a lot of YouTube shows,

(06:00):
yeah how things work.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Grant how things work .
How things work.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Grant how things work , how things uh see will anybody
purposely step on a ball likephil did that one tournament
purposely?

Speaker 3 (06:15):
did he stop the ball when it was rolling?

Speaker 1 (06:18):
oh that one yeah that ?
Where was that at that was at,oh I have a video of that.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
On my idea, was it um ?
Was that a shinnecock, shinnecock, yeah yeah, yeah, I
don't know.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
I mean, with it being wet they're they'll.
They do drain, but I don'tthink they're going to be
crusted out fast like shinnecockwas like the word.
They were watering in betweengroups.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
Yeah, what's the forecast?

Speaker 1 (06:48):
looking like.
Has anybody seen it?

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Yep Tomorrow or Thursday is nice Thursday is
going to be warm 80s, and thenafter that it's rain.
Still warm, yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
I don't think it's going to get crusty, but that
rough will be juicy and they'llprobably still keep the greens
at a close to 15 yeah, that'scrazy.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
I mean, yeah, we, julian and I, played at dragon
ridge a couple weeks ago and wesaid the greens are probably
rolling at 14 and that's not asundulated, as as oakmont is God,
I mean, and there's some we had.
I had one putt rise above thehole and it was downhill and I
mean I just touched it with myputter face, just like touched

(07:32):
it, and it went 10 feet past.
So I mean they get anysituation like that.
Oh, man you're going to is istrail hat in the field Cause.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
I wanted that one mic'd up.
I want him mic'd up 24, seven.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Cause you the field because I wanted that one mic'd
up.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
I want him mic'd up 24 7 because you know he's gonna
say did you guys see that spotabout the stint meter on uh live
?

Speaker 3 (07:54):
from oakmont.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
It was created because of oakmont right well,
the guy, the guy is from oakmont.
Yeah, there's like um rod perryor whatever what they.
They measured the greens.
He would drop a ball on theback of number two or whatever.
And if it didn't roll off thefront of the green it wasn't
fast enough.
And that was really interestingin how the stimp meter was

(08:16):
created and it took like theUSGA 35 years to adopt the stimp
meter.
That was really interesting tome yeah, if you guys didn't see
it.
I think you should watch it.
Yeah, I'll check it out.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
Yeah, I didn't see it at all there's a there's always
some good stories on the liveapp that's why yeah, that's why
live at the US Open, live at theMasters.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
They do such a good job.
I love, I love watching that.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
Yeah, I'm a big fan of the.
They did a little thing aboutthe lockers and how every
locker's got a little hiddenliquor compartment.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Seriously.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
Yeah, so everybody can hide their stash from the
Prohibition days.
As I said every time, theybuild new lockers and add new
lockers.
They try to build them to makethem look original and each
locker, still to this day, hasthat little lockbox.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
That's sick.
I love that.
I mean, golf is like atradition, right?
And that's so cool that itkeeps getting passed down and
all the stories are the best.
I love it.
What are you doing, matt?

Speaker 1 (09:32):
what are you?

Speaker 2 (09:33):
I'm trying to get.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
He's preoccupied no, I'm trying to get this.
I don't know well it you know II I authenticated the chasing
day that podcast.
We got the little blue checkmark on our account.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Now we're paying for that.
We're paying for that now.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
I'm not sure if that has something to do with it or
not, but I'll have to dig in andfind out what's going on.
Sent a trouble ticket and itdidn't happen.
Nothing happened.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
We shall see, don't worry about it.
The guys that want to, we'll behere.
Don't worry about that, let'stalk, I mean we can tune in
tomorrow if they need to.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
Yeah, hey.
I made a little pre-show videoand told all the haters and
there was a lot of them uh tocome on tonight and, and you
know, let us have it.
So I was hoping that ig wasworking.
So, uh, they're gonna have toget uh figure out how to get to
youtube because, I'm sure we'reprobably getting some more flack

(10:34):
for that now.
Oh, you call us out, then youdon't go live I see how you are
yeah yeah, yeah, but uh, mike'sin the chat and and he helped
exploit our ranking system andquite a few people.
I was kind of surprised at howmuch hate we got for not knowing

(11:00):
anything about golf, the peoplewho did this ranking clearly
don't play golf so many.
These aren't even in Vegas.
Half these courses aren't inVegas.
There's nine of them thataren't in Vegas.
I'm not counting the BoulderCity, because that's considered
Vegas to me 80% of the commentswere about Wolf Creek 80% 80% of

(11:25):
the comments were justdestroying us for saying that
Wolf Creek was the 24th bestcourse in the valley or in the
region, when some people aresaying it's a top 10 course in
the country, which is fuckingcriminal that's ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Yeah, that's ridiculous.
Which is fucking criminal?
That's ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
That is absolutely insane.
Yeah, so I had some funconversations with a few people.
You know, it's kind of likepeople from Oregon they're not
blown away with Bandon.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
Right, yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
They get a lot of that.
There's coastal golf courses.
There's, you know, wooded areaslike bandon trails.
To someone from the portlandarea is just another golf course
.
For us, you know, bandon trailsis, in my opinion, the greatest
golf course I've ever played.
It's incredible, but you knowwe live in the desert little

(12:25):
different ambience us you know, beyond is that the right word?

Speaker 2 (12:29):
it's so, it's so subjective, like even I was
talking to chris torres.
He went up to portland and he'slike, yeah, it was crazy, like
being in the trees.
You know, you hear the echo ofthe trees and we don't have
trees out here.
You know what I mean.
So it's like maybe that personplays on a flat golf course in a
muni in missouri, who knows, maybe that's what he sees, and

(12:52):
then he goes to, uh, wolf creekcreek and is blown away.
It's just insane, yeah, and then, and then for us it's like we
play in the desert, no trees.
Then we go play band and trailsand it tells a story and it's
incredible and it's highlyranked because it's that good,
you know, and it's so subjectivevery subjective, but you know I

(13:16):
think you can be subjective andrealist and and I've said this
before it's amazing to look at.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
It is absolutely incredible the, the video game.
It's a video game what theyaccomplished out there
unbelievable, even though someother courses in the area have
done the exact same thing.
But it's not great golf, it'sjust not.
I you know I've had a couplepeople say oh, first time I
played it I started 72.

(13:45):
It's like shut the fuck up.
Nobody goes into that courseblind and shoots 72 because you
have no idea 78 first time andthat was years ago I shot 73
yeah, okay, maybe I'm wrongfirst time.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
Yeah, oh no but it's not, it's not a really hard
course.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
It's not hard.
Yeah, you can just blow itblows you away.
It's like if you are uh feelinguncomfortable, yeah, I can
screw you up.
It's not hard, I don't think.
I don't think wolf creek's hardat all.
I think it just, yeah, blastyou in the face with the visuals
and it's like.
I would never want to play thatcourse every day and that's why

(14:25):
it's so low rank.
I don't want to play thereevery day.
I don't want to five and a halfsix hour round every day.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
I don't want to gas card every day dude and the guys
that please let us play, saidthat they teed off at like 1 30
and it was summer time and youknow it's daylight until 7 45
and they didn't finish yeah, nothanks, wow, no thanks and they
basically told him that theyweren't gonna finish.

(14:54):
It's like yeah, yeah, not good, not good, dude.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
I think we were like off at like 7 am and it took us
five and a half hours, that'slike you know, it's like yeah,
it's.
It's not like like it'svisually appealing and cool and
video gamey, but it's like Iwould and that's why it's so low
rank.
I could never play there everyday, never, no, no, I mean, we

(15:20):
put, we played, makes greatvideos and pictures, for sure.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
We played Revere on a Sunday and Lex and we finished
in three and a half hours and itshould have been three.
There was one group in front ofus that started a half hour
before us and we caught them onthe third hole and I mean they
finished in four hours.

(15:45):
So that's good, that's good, but we were still waiting every
box.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
You know, what I love .
What I love is like being firstoff and it's like the starters,
like you're the pace setters, because I did that at Stadium
Course and we did that at SheepRanch and he's like at Sheep
Ranch.
He's like pace at sheep ranch.
He's like four hours 15 minutes.
We finished in like 3, 15 likeI love telling them they're
wrong.
You know like and and the homiegot an ace, dan got an ace.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
Like that helped exactly one of our groups, one
of our groups finished in threeexactly, yeah, yeah but not too
much we played uh.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
I played uh tpc scottsdale stadium and he's like
it's four hours 20 minutes.
We finished in 3 45.
We were first out.
Like it's not hard to like getthings done.
You know what I mean yeah, sohow was scottsdale?
tell us all about it it was good, it was hot.
It was, uh, humid.

(16:47):
Um, tpc scottsdale stadium.
As I've told you guys before II was not expecting much out of
it at all, like it's not um,visually entertaining to like my
architecture.
I, if you will, I'm not, I'mnot, I'm not a savant or

(17:09):
anything but I enjoyed it.
It was way more enjoyable thanI thought it was going to be
like.
Way more enjoyable.
I thought I was going to belike okay, I got it done and
yeah, it was cool, really cool.
Primo conditions, greens wereincredible.
A lot of history there.

(17:29):
Of course it was.
I'm glad I.
I'm glad I did it because I was.
There's so many options outthere in Scottsdale that's,
that's the hard thing.
There's so many golf coursesout there.
Glad I did it.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
Yeah, what's your favorite hole?
You remember anything stand outto you that maybe you weren't
expecting my favorite hole was15.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
I think that hole is insane very long.
Par four green was superelevated um.
I I hit a great drive to theright side of the fairway and I
had like two or five in and thegreen super elevated and I had a
great four iron.
Uh, it ran off the back, butthat hole is very long, very

(18:14):
long um and then uh, like one, Ithink, only one birdie, I think
.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
What hold your birdie ?

Speaker 2 (18:26):
I don't remember.
I got one birdie.
I missed the green on 16.
Almost drove the green on 17.
Oh yeah, and that's anotherthing about 16.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
16 is.
I mean, obviously you shouldhave gone live so we could have,
you know, cheered or thrown ourbeers or yeah, the stands are
not there, but it was.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
There's way more like it's not.
It's not a crazy hole, but thegreen is like elevated and
there's a big swell in the frontand the.
That's one thing.
Like I'm I'm stoked to watch,uh, waste management, because
the greens move a lot more, especially like 16.
I was like I didn't think thisgreen looked like this at all,

(19:09):
like I thought the green wasflat and it's like low on the
front and then it goes over inthe back.
Yeah, it is so different.
And even on 17, like thatbunker on the right side of the
green, it cuts in a lot, if youguys remember right it it.
You know that's the thing aboutplaying these courses.
I mean tv or pictures do not dothese courses justice, you know

(19:35):
, like, and that's why you gotto get out there and see them,
because I I enjoyed it a lotmore than I thought I was going
to and I'm glad i've've playedit and there's so many options
out there.
That's the thing so manyoptions.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
So, many Would you play it every day, would you say
?
Would you play it every day?

Speaker 2 (19:58):
It's a course I could see playing every day.
It's very fun.
It's not a ton to it.
I think it's a great option ifyou were going to play golf
every day.
It's it's very fun.
It's not a ton to it.
I think it's a it's a greatoption.
If you were gonna play golfevery day.
I could see how you could playit every day.
I wouldn't want to, becausethere's so many options out
there and it's too hot.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
Yeah, where would you put it?
Uh, southern dunes?
Uh above it, or below it?

Speaker 2 (20:23):
in the ring, oh man the tough part for me is like uh
, it's, it's very tpc, right,it's it's so resorty, I think.
I think the elevation is a lotbetter at scottsdale.
I love action if there was moreand I've said it before like I

(20:47):
love action southern dunes, uh,I just wish there was more
elevation and there's moreelevation at scottsdale, so I'd
I'd probably put scottsdalestadium course over action.
I think the bunkering at actionSouthern Dunes is way better.
But yeah, action Southern Dunesdoesn't have that elevation

(21:10):
aspect to it like Scottsdaledoes.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
There's a couple good elevation holes there.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
It's pretty flat, it's pretty flat, it's pretty
flat.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
I wouldn't say it's pretty flat.
It's pretty flat, but like I,said that drivable par 4.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
It's pretty flat.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
That drivable par 4 is not flat.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
Yeah, it's pretty flat.
Yeah, that par 4, 15, is thebest hole out there.
100%.
I will battle anybody out therethat says 15 is not the
greatest hole on that course, that stadium course Whoa, it's
sick, it is I.
I hit my drive and I was like,oh shit, this is sick because

(21:54):
it's like you're, you're, you're20 feet under it and it's like
built up and it's like greathole, great hole, and I'm I'm so
stoked to watch the the playersplay that 15 is the best hole
on stadium, are you?

Speaker 3 (22:07):
talking about the par 5?
You have to hit it over thewater, or is it the par?

Speaker 2 (22:10):
4?
The 4.
No, it's a 4.
It's before the one with thewater in front of the green.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
So it's 14.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
We know it's 14.
Oh so.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
Yeah, 15 is the par 5 .

Speaker 2 (22:31):
16 is the par 5?
16?
Is the par 3?
Yeah, 15, 14, 14 you're talkingabout.
Yeah okay, that hole's sickbest hole out there 14 cool, I
wouldn't have even thought about14 it's the one before the par
3, with the water in front ofthe green.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
Isn't that a par 5?

Speaker 3 (22:48):
No, 15's a par 5.
The one you hit over the wateron the approach.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
It's not 15.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
14's the one that's like 500 yards, par 4, right.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Exactly that's what I've said.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
We said 14 and you keep on saying no Long par 4.
One before the par 3.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
14.
14.
The one before the par 5 withthe water in front of it.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
There, you said it right that time.
How much have you had to drinktonight?

Speaker 2 (23:17):
87 drinks.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
So you played twice in Scottsdale.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
right, yeah, I played grass clippings Only nine holes
, but that place is cool man.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
Oh yeah, you played Grass Clippings as well.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Yeah yeah, really good vibes.
I wish we had something likethat out here in Vegas.
Really cool, really cool.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
I wish we played all 18, but how come they only do
nine at night?
Really cool, really cool.
I wish we played all 18, buthow come they only?

Speaker 2 (23:51):
is it only?
They only do nine at night OnTuesdays.
I guess that they like splitthe boxes for some reason.
But no, it was my brother'sfirst time out there and playing
golf.
He swung a couple of timestimes, but he was smashing it
pretty well.
Um, it's cool, it's really cool.
I wish we had something likethat out here and we don't, you

(24:12):
know we don't similar to likegoat hill, similar goat hill
vibes.
Um, it was really cool.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
Really found a lighted nine hole course in uh
oahu.
That's not too far from wherewe'll be staying, so they may
have to venture out there andunite hawaii golf.
Oh yeah, that would be when doyou go?
A couple weeks.
A couple weeks.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
Well, I know another course that is throwing lights
up very soon and me and Jeremyare going to play it, and you
guys probably don't know aboutit yet because I doubt Jeremy
told you guys.
He told me oh, I'll tell youguys, me and Jeremy are going to
play Shadow Creek on the 26th.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
Yeah, 16 days, front nine in the sunset and the back
nine in the lights and I reallyhate paying the price, but it's
as it's as cheap as you're gonnaget.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
You know what I mean.
I, I would, yeah, I'm glad youguys are going.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
I would go if we weren't going to hawaii.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
I would be with you out there, with you guys, you
know, and uh, so but be kind ofhard for me to make that one
yeah, and at some pointsomebody's gonna have to get a
uh, a pass to play.
Uh, what is it?
What's?
What's the name of it?
Sunrise vista oh, that'll be it.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
That'll be it you're not missing much, I know, but
you know we got to do it,that'll be it You're not missing
much, I know, but we got to doit.
We got to do it.
We had a private fitting eventat the Win.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
Action over Southern Her Stadium.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
Her Stadium.
Yeah, we had a private fittingevent at the win, uh, and we
were there for two days andthey're building a new clubhouse
, so they have this littlemakeshift uh bungalow area.
I put a video on instagram, uh,and it's it's pretty cool.
I mean, I saw that.
Where is that at like, rightnext to the range, it's oh, okay

(26:25):
, one step on the other side ofthe cart path from where the
range is at, uh, or the practicenet phrase that uh, and it's,
uh, it's cool and for what it is, you know, I mean they got to
have something while they'redoing the the new clubhouse.
So, uh, the new clubhouse isgoing to be ridiculous, by the
way.
Um, but I got, uh, anunderstanding and and I hadn't

(26:52):
had this perspective beforebecause typically, when, like
when we've gone and playedprivate courses, we're, you know
, uh, have somebody that we knowthat invited us to come along
with them, or we do an sngathing, so we really don't get to
see all the ins and outs thatgo on behind the scenes.
I 100% know why Wynn Golf Clubcharges $800 for a round of golf

(27:16):
now, and it's to keep vagrantsand idiots and hacks off of
their golf course.
They don't want them there andthey're not bashful about it.
Uh, I mean it's, it's notwritten don't come here, but
it's basically don't play hereunless you can afford to play
here.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
Uh they also don't need to have us or vagrants play
.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
They're not worried about rankings.
They're not worried about whatpeople think of the golf course.
They're not worried aboutpeople complaining that it's too
much to pay.
They don't care.
They want those people happy.
They want their rounds notdelayed.
Their caddies are fantastic.
We had a bunch of conversationswith the caddies.

(28:05):
Those guys are amazing.
They absolutely love workingthere and they want you off the
course and in the casino.
That's what they care about andthey cater to a clientele that
is going to spend money in theirstores, spend money in their
restaurants, gamble at theirtables.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
It's an amenity.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
It's an amenity, yeah it is and I was, you know, I've
you don't like bally high kindof wants you them, they kind of
want to have that.
You know.
Oh, we're on the strip andwe're exclusive and it's like no
, you, you, you have no idea.
The people that are going andplaying valley high, that have
money, it's not the same peopleit's, it is a different type of

(28:49):
clientele that is going and andplaying to win and I get it now.
I I didn't understand thatbefore.
I kind of had an idea, but uh,yeah, they, they, they could.
Now this is my personal opinionthey could give a rat's ass
about anybody.
You know what anybody has tosay about their course.
As long as the people thatspend money in their casino are

(29:11):
happy and they present them withthis amazing golf course, that
they can come and stay, play agreat course, gamble at night,
eat some food, buy someexpensive clothes and get the
heck out of dodge, they're goingto come back, and I mean the
course is in beautiful shape.
Everybody that comes off it saysthey instantly go back there
and do it again.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
I wonder how many rounds they get played out there
a day.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Right now not a ton, because it's so damn odd.
Yeah, you know, I mean we.
We were there from eight tofour on saturday and not a whole
lot of people coming off thegolf course, but friday we were
there from two to six bunch ofpeople coming off the golf
course.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
So I mean yeah so interesting because, I mean,
vegas is such a transient city, right, and it's like everybody
that's playing win, for the mostpart, is in town playing and
leaving.
You know what I mean?
It's?

Speaker 1 (30:12):
yep, they're not after the locals no definitely
not that's why you don't see thelocal discount.
That's why they don't you knowand and it makes me kind of
understand why valley high islike how they are, because they
they know they're going to getthe business.
They know they're gonna.
You know, hey, we can't chargeas much as wind and shadow, but
we can sure as hell charge a lotand we're going to get a lot of
it.

(30:32):
So I, I get it, don't like it,but they don't need us.
Yeah, true, they don't need us.
Their t tee sheets are full allday, every day, even now when
it's 190.
Holy crap, was it hot today?

Speaker 2 (30:49):
Bro, like when golf course is in the summer, it's so
hot Because that's the bottomof the valley for the most part
it's so hot.

Speaker 1 (30:59):
What are you talking?

Speaker 2 (31:00):
about.
That's close to the bottom ofthe valley.
I played it in like June orJuly.
It was unbearable.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Oh yeah.
That green.
The practice range is turf.
Yeah, it's hot, jeremy, youknow how hot turf gets.
Yeah, and then throw a tentover it and then just stand in
that convection oven it wasbrutal.
We were cooking Bacon.
Yeah, we were cooking.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
It is hot down there.

Speaker 1 (31:31):
Okay, so let's see, we got here.
We talked a little bit aboutBryson.
We talked a little bit aboutour rankings.
Since we don't have anybodycoming on A, if you want to just
send us a message, we'llexplain it to you.
It's, you know what?
There's an episode thatexplains it all.
I'll link it in the show notesso everybody can go back and
find it.
We explain it all, so there'sno yeah, I didn't get that one

(31:54):
guy.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
He was that one guy, he was talking about it.
I was like dude, you just needto go listen.
He was like I'll go listen, sowelcome if you're listening I
comment.

Speaker 1 (32:04):
I just copied it and reposted it on everybody's thing
.
That said this is bullshit, this is dumb, this is gay, this
is bad.
You know, I was just likethere's a reason, go watch it
after the episode.
If you still think so, comeback and let us know.
Otherwise zibit, Zibit.
I like the one guy.
Oh nice clickbait.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:28):
We did 300 episodes and we're like hey, let's
clickbait this one.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
People crack me up, that's funny man.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
You can't afford to play Wolf Creek.
That's why it's 24.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
yeah, yeah it's like matt matt's cannot afford a lab
butter, and that's why he can'ttrash about him goal is in the
lab golf episode also please, please do.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
Oh, the the facebook fanboys found my second post
with the uh square to squareputter, and so that thing's
blowing up now.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
It's like good grief it's so funny.
It's a company, man bro companyman I could speaking of lab.

Speaker 3 (33:14):
I think someone that plays lab might have cheated on
them they did.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
I got confirmation.
We won't.
We won't.
We won't let the cat.
I'm not gonna help this person.
We won't out dirty laundrydirty laundry we won't out them
publicly.
But yes, uh, a new, uhtailor-made putter is in that
person's bag which looks prettydamn good, I think in my 170

(33:41):
something for a round at wolfcreek doesn't seem terrible, but
haven't played the course yet.
Okay, so if that's not terrible, that's not terrible.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
If you're a first-time listener.
You have to play wolf creek onetime at least.
Absolutely judge it, judge itfor yourself, go check it off
one time, and then you, if youwant, to pay the rate after that
, but you do have to play it onetime.
We will all agree on that, right 100 play it once.

(34:12):
Check off any course you can.
Wolf creek is playable, atleast for one round, so go do
that.
If it's 170, that's solid, Ithink, especially if you are on
vacation or traveling totallyyeah 100 must, must, must play.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
It is a must play, just just so you can say that
you've done it all right.
So have any of you watched?
Stick yet on Apple.

Speaker 3 (34:42):
No.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
I want the new Owen.

Speaker 4 (34:46):
Wilson no not yet, not yet, so there's four
episodes.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
There's four episodes out.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
Oh gosh you just bought a lab dude, chill out,
relax.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
Yeah, yeah, good.
How long have you had it forFind your out, relax?
Yeah, yeah, good, how long haveyou had it for?

Speaker 2 (35:03):
Find your stroke AG.
What are you doing?

Speaker 1 (35:06):
AG, I'm going to buy a spider putter too.
It's good.

Speaker 2 (35:10):
Man.

Speaker 1 (35:12):
Think for yourself, sir.
Think for yourself.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
I played my putter for six years.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
Six years.
You've had a goodter for sixyears, six years.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
You've had a Goodwood for six years and I just put a
different putter in the bag.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
How did that roll for you For three rounds In?

Speaker 2 (35:31):
Scottsdale Good, really good, yeah, really good.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
You liking it.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
I need a different grip, though I need to figure
out the weight.
But, goodwood, yeah, greatputter, great putter, great
putter, I just gotta.
I need a different grip.
So I need more weight somewhere.
I need to get the swing weightdown.
I can't do that.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
That green star pro, only golf I just I just put one
of those on on the jailbird andit's.
I love that grip.
It's heavy, it's 88 gramssubjective.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
That's what I put on my good one it's it's too big.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
Yeah, I don't like it I'm gonna have to figure
something out too for that.
I need that garson trapezoidalaction joint.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
Yeah, but those aren't heavy.
You're gonna have more swingweight, I know that's why we
gotta figure it out.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
That's what I'm saying.
We to figure it out.
That's what I'm saying.
We got to figure it out.
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
If I decide to sell any putter, I have Joe selling
on whatnot.
That's from AG.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
There you go, ag, I got you.
Mike says I played in August.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
It was hot yeah, august Wow.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
It's not the bottom of the valley, but it's close to
the bottom of the valley, butit's close to the bottom of the
valley?

Speaker 3 (36:41):
no, it's not where is the bottom of the valley?

Speaker 1 (36:44):
the bottom of the valley is down by trey's house
east side.
East side, yeah, boulderhighway and warm springs is the
lowest point of the valley it'sstill close by the more it's
closer you sound like a youLVadministrator saying the Silver
Bowl is close to the campus forfootball games.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
No, If you're already past the strip if you're
already on that side of thestrip it's pretty close.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
It's only 10 minutes.
10-minute drive, prim, it's notthat far.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
There we go, Adrian.
I appreciate you.
It's close.

Speaker 1 (37:17):
Oh, it's not close.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
Good lord.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
Okay, I'm going to close this window, since we
can't do anything with it.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
Fairly close, fairly close.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
Yeah, take an Uber ride from the wind to Trey's
house and tell me how relativelyclose it is.
You take an Uber anywhere it's40 minimum.
Don't even take an Uber.

Speaker 2 (37:40):
I'll come pick you up and we can measure the heat
it's hot.
It's still hot.

Speaker 1 (37:48):
It's hot.
That's all you need to know.
It's hot, so stick.
It's pretty good.
It's kind of Ted Lasso-y goodstory.
Blah, blah, blah.
So far the golf hasn't beenawful.
It so far the golf hasn't beenawful.
It's not great, but it hasn'tbeen awful.
But it's a fun watch.
Eric is watching it.

(38:08):
It's a fun watch with me.
Check that out, golf TV.
Matt's lab post was clickbait.
Oh yeah, 100%.
That's why I did it.
I was like hmm, how can I getsome clicks?
Only been doing this since youknow 2010.
Let's try it now.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
Yeah he's been trying to clickbait everyone for years
and he finally happened, finally worked you all caught me
, you're on to me.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
oh, let's see.
Oh, hey, look Juju's here.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
Juju.

Speaker 1 (38:44):
How's the wrist?
Juju?
Let's see.
Adrian says playing Paiute nextweek and I'm worried about the
heat.
Drink lots of water before yougo.
Four or five hours before yourtea time, pound water.

Speaker 2 (38:57):
You'll be fine.
Yeah, you'll be fine, it's thebest.

Speaker 3 (39:00):
Great choice, great choice.
By the way, groundwater, you'llbe fine.
Yeah, it'll be fine, it's thebest, the breeze great choice,
great choice, by the way yes, uh, did anybody watch the no lane
up vegas when they played?

Speaker 2 (39:08):
I did, I did pretty good.

Speaker 1 (39:12):
What did you think?

Speaker 2 (39:13):
about?
What did you think about?
What did you think about neil'slike uh perspective on piu?

Speaker 1 (39:21):
um, I didn't disagree with anything that they said.
I I mean, I don't know if Irecall his perspective on it,
but uh well, he was saying likethey got kicked in the teeth
with the wind, but the windowlooked pretty bad it.
I mean I it's.
I've been out there when thewater's splashing up on the
green on on 17 or on 16 on snow.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
So you know I can, I can relate, but uh I think I
think it was a, I think it was afair shake of of pipe.
I think it was very fair.
Yeah, um, and it wasinteresting to see his
perspective on um.
Like he's come to vegas a tonof times, he's never played golf

(40:06):
here, and then he got to playand he's like, yeah, the wind
was brutal, but like he can seehow great vegas golf can be yeah
I mean they were in awe of thescenery, which it is when you're
out there and you're away fromthe city.
Yeah, the mountains areincredible I mean they were in
awe of the scenery, which it iswhen you're out there and you're
away from the city.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
Yeah, the mountains are incredible.
I mean, you get an earlymorning or a late afternoon and
you're coming off the course inthe golden hour.
Oh, it's just breathtaking outthere yeah, 16, 16.
I mean the the pond was whippingthough there was like yeah,
white, white caps out therehitting driver on the four, the
par three yeah, yeah, oh yeah 50mile an hour wind in their face

(40:47):
.
It's like good lord uh Ithought it was really good, yeah
, they did a good job, somegreat aerials.
Uh, you know, they had lunch atthe pepper mill, which I
thought was awesome.
Yeah, um, gave some of the artsdistricts some love, which was
kind of cool to see, showingsome of the sides of Vegas that
not everybody gets to see.

Speaker 2 (41:07):
They highlighted public golf and private golf,
which I appreciate.
Yeah, yeah, it was cool.

Speaker 1 (41:14):
So if you haven't watched that, make sure you
check that out.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
Yeah, for sure 1,000% .

Speaker 1 (41:20):
Play it at least once .
It's an experience.
Are you talking about?
What are you talking about?

Speaker 2 (41:23):
when or he's talking about wolf creek okay I would
say he had an x-ray today.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
Get back in five days okay, his wrist was bugging him
this weekend, you tell he wasin a bad mood.
All right, uh, so we got thattaken care of.
Uh, we'll get our picks for theus open, not that it even give
a shit, but it's always fun topick them.
Joe, if you want to bring upthe odds, they're, they're on
the pga website.

(41:50):
If you don't want to do it, Ican bring it up too.
Um, and then I I've beenexploring, I chatted with joe
about this the other day andthen I brought the guys in on it
about it.
You know we wanted to do someway of, you know, bringing some
financial support to the sitewithout ads.
You know, we do have a fewsponsors that help us with some

(42:13):
things, and we're grateful forplaces like the golf stop and
words golf and Las Vegas golfsuperstore.
But you know, we want to beable to do things for the
listeners.
We want to, you know, have somegiveaways, have some things to
show our support for you whotune in to us each week and
listen and download the show andfollow us on our socials and

(42:35):
buy things from Joe's Whatnot.
We love all you guys and so,and gals and gals, we want to be
able to, you know, give back alittle bit.
And so we've been trying to finda couple different ways to do
it and turns out there's somereally big legalese that goes on
with the word giveaway andsweepstakes and lotteries, and

(43:00):
so I mean mean we thought aboutdoing a paid prescription
subscription, uh, on instagram, but you have to have 10 000
followers.
We're just a little shy on that, so won't be doing it on that,
uh, I talked to the friend ofours about patreon and he's like
no, do not do patreon, it sucksuh.
So I had somebody reach out onig, so I'm going to have a

(43:22):
conversation with them about it.
But we're we're working onbehind the scenes, you know,
trying to figure out a way thatwe can do this and bring you
guys some gear.
I teased it in the in the video.
Where's all?
Oh, it's over here.

Speaker 2 (43:34):
Hang on a second hey, honestly, we're not going
anywhere.
We're 340 deep like yeah, we'renot.

Speaker 1 (43:41):
We're not going anywhere.
So, uh, this was.
This was my first jailbird.
This isn't the jailbird fromthe video, that was a slant neck
, but this is the one that's gotthe la shaft in it.
It's a special edition la golfshaft jailbird mini plumber's
neck or crank hosel that's whatch stands for.
Uh, it's got the golf pridereverse taper grip on it.

(44:04):
So we got something like that.
It's just sitting in my closet.
Uh, I don't want to get raped onwhatnot, because somebody, will
, you know, buy it for 50 bucksand when it's, you know, with
that shaft and that head, it's a600 putter.
Uh, then I have this bad boy.
This is my old driver.
This is a ai smoke max head.

(44:26):
Uh, it's in great shape.
I only gained this for like sixmonths before the elite came
out.
Uh, it's got the tensei blue.
Uh, what is it?
65 stiff shaft in it.
So that's something that we canbe given away.
Like I said, this just it'sjust sitting and collecting dust

(44:46):
and then you know, we've gotthe new crank driver that Lance
sit us sent us.
We've all played with it andwe've all had fun with it, but
it's time to go in someone's bagthat's going to game it.
It's fun to hit.
I just I'm not confident withit.
Uh, so I'd much rather you knowgive that away to a listener or
a fan of the show, somebody that, uh, would get better use out

(45:08):
of it than than my closet.
So, but in order to do that, you know, we kind of need
something from you and that'sfollows and likes and shares and
and comments and posts and allthat stuff.
And comments and posts, and allthat stuff.
We want to get to 1,000subscribers on YouTube we're at
480.
We've got a ways to go.
And 5,000 IG followers Not abig ask.

(45:33):
We're at 1,733.
Trying to do a little bit morewith our content on IG.
I watch a lot of it and couldbelieve me, no one's pulling up
with us standing out there withwet towels in our hands, uh.

(45:57):
So, uh, you know, once, once wehit these numbers, we'll start
giving some of this stuff awayto you guys that follow the show
.
It's that simple, Free stuff isout there.
We just need your help growingthe show.
So do us a favor, leave acomment on our socials, engage

(46:18):
with us.
What Mad in a One Piece, oh.

Speaker 2 (46:21):
God, you don't want to see that.

Speaker 1 (46:23):
Nobody wants to see that.

Speaker 2 (46:25):
Matt's always in a one-piece.

Speaker 1 (46:27):
I'm always yeah.
Door-to-door wrapping papersales.
Who is?

Speaker 3 (46:35):
That would be me.
Oh, that's you yeah.

Speaker 1 (46:38):
How did you get the CDP login on Facebook?

Speaker 2 (46:41):
That's impressive because he's got a new level hat
.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
That's why yeah not on new level.

Speaker 3 (46:46):
Yeah, yeah, shout out new level shout out new level,
um.

Speaker 1 (46:50):
So yeah, we'll be working on some things, and and
we need your help.
So, if you're watching this onyoutube, hit that subscribe
button.
Uh, if you're watching this oninstagram, well, you're not,
because it's not on instagramright now.

Speaker 2 (47:01):
Um hey adrian did ask about the, the special edition
elite driver.

Speaker 1 (47:06):
Just uh the sandstorm one chops in.

Speaker 2 (47:09):
But yeah, we talked about that last.

Speaker 1 (47:11):
They talked about that last week, but we talked
about that out there.

Speaker 2 (47:14):
Yeah, because I listened to last week's episode
yes, I didn't put my two centsin, but no, they did uh, I like
it.

Speaker 1 (47:23):
I think it looks great, it's a it's a great
looking driver.
Um, you know, they calloway'sdone that with uh the military
stuff for a couple years now.
Did it with the jaws wedges anddid it with uh that sandstorm
edition.
It looks pretty good.
It's pretty good, I mean it's.

Speaker 3 (47:37):
There's definitely people out there that will want
that I secretly think it looksbetter than the regular Elite.

Speaker 1 (47:43):
Well, it doesn't have green on it.

Speaker 2 (47:45):
Yeah, yeah, I'm with you, I'm with you.
I think it's sick.
I saw it and I was like that'ssick.
I like that more than the Elite100%.

Speaker 1 (47:55):
It's definitely different.
I'll go back and listen firsttime.

The desert hat is home at $115oh my god is it melon?

(01:00:21):
It's vintage.

Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
Phil, you want to buy this hat nope, that doesn't
mean anything.

Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
to buy this hat?
Nope, that doesn't meananything to me.
This means something to me.
This means something to me.

Speaker 1 (01:00:36):
I got to play the DI a couple times and I wouldn't
pay $25 for that hat.

Speaker 4 (01:00:40):
I missed the.
Di I got to play it once.
That course was sick.

Hey Joe, I get it, I get it, don't make him feel
better about his.
No, I'm just saying Iunderstand why he bought it.
I never would have bought it, Inever would have paid that much
for it, but Joe's Joe.

Speaker 1 (01:01:22):
Oh, absolutely.

Speaker 4 (01:01:24):
Why we love him.
Joe is the vibe, and if hefeels something, he's going to

Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
Yeah, yeah, my, my, my top number was like 90 and
somebody bid 95.

90 bucks, 90, 88, 88, 88 carlysimon greatest hits well, that's
the thing, man like I'm notgonna carly

Speaker 2 (01:02:31):
I'm not gonna just like spend money on something
that doesn't like hit home.
You know what I mean.
So the the album I spent moneyon was it hit home to me?
It was when I left vegas and Iwas.
I was playing that record everyday, every day, when I was in
florida, when I moved there togo go to school, and I played it
every day.

(01:02:51):
So that's the reason why Ispent that money on that because
it's out of print, you can'tget it.
So 90 bucks, I'll take itnostalgia spend.
And you can't get this anymore.
This does not exist.
This does not exist.
This does not exist.
And I've played win twice.
I've seen the DI bridge twice.

(01:03:15):
The DI bridge is still on thecourse.

Speaker 1 (01:03:18):

Speaker 1 (01:04:31):
They have not released who bought it, yet they
don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:04:34):
They did release his name yesterday did they?
Okay, uh, no supposedly the heneeds uh, he needs um like 70 of
the residents approval to notbuild a golf course there.

Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
That's not going to happen.
Those people want that courseback, but man, it's terrible.

Speaker 4 (01:05:02):
We may get another golf course coming.
Dude, that golf course was sickyeah it was fun.

Speaker 1 (01:05:10):
You would have liked it, joe yeah, yeah, it was just
like.

Speaker 4 (01:05:12):
It was just like boulder creek, if not better I
know I would have loved it, Iknow three nines three, nines,
one was like one of them wasalmost 700 yards from the tip,
so it was like 677 from the tipschallenging, like oakmont at
the us.
Yeah it was, it was all.
It was all you want.

Speaker 2 (01:05:30):
Silverstone was dope yeah you had a beautiful
clubhouse too, and then thosepeople torch that shit down or
whatever the hell they weredoing yeah, we have a friend
that lives in there and everytime I like we go visit them I'm
like what the fuck dude likejust make a nine or something.
You know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (01:05:47):
like we had big, big houses out there and they were
fairly new when that golf coursefolded up, so I can understand
johnny miller chichi rodriguez.

Speaker 2 (01:06:00):
Johnny miller chichi rodriguez.
Bro, doesn't get much betterthan that in vegas I don't know
about all that, but JohnnyMiller was drunk when he built
Badlands.
Yeah, well, I mean, because hewas in Vegas.
I mean Paiute's better, but hey.
Matt, did you know that?

Speaker 4 (01:06:19):
Johnny Miller shot 63 at Oklahoma.
I heard about that Really.

Speaker 1 (01:06:25):
He loves telling people about that.
All right, really, he loves.
He loves telling people aboutthat, all right.
Uh, so picks for the us open.
Uh, not that anybody gives ashit what we think, but we'll
throw it out there.
Uh, joe, let's start with you.
What do you think?

Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
uh, you know it's a, you know it's.
Uh, yeah, a, you know.
I don't know who knows, but I'mgoing to say Ludwig.

Speaker 1 (01:06:51):
Ludwig Ludwig.

Speaker 2 (01:06:52):
Ober.

Speaker 1 (01:06:53):
Ober A-bear.

Speaker 3 (01:06:56):
What's the score?
Choose the winning score toofor Ludwig.

Speaker 2 (01:07:00):
We're going to.
Yeah, winning score is going tobe four under.

Speaker 1 (01:07:04):
Minus four.
All right Dan.

Speaker 2 (01:07:08):
It's been like been slowly going down.
I started at 10, then I went tosix then I went to five.
Now I'm at four, so it'sprobably going to be two.

Speaker 4 (01:07:22):
I'll say it's kind of a long shot because he hasn't
done shit, but I just feel likehe might do something this week.
I'm going to go with PatrickCantley, can't look that guy.
I know, I know you don't like.

Speaker 1 (01:07:37):
Joe Can't stand his face.
I know you don't like him, butyeah, I'm going to go with a
little bit of a long shot andI'll say at minus two, minus two
.

Speaker 2 (01:07:50):
He seems like he does not like golf at all.

Speaker 1 (01:07:52):
He doesn't.
He just you know, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:07:57):
I think he just got a lot of hate for him as well.

Speaker 1 (01:08:00):
Has anybody that played in TGL won this year on
tour?

Speaker 2 (01:08:08):
How could they win on tour when they're?
Oh sorry, no finish thatthought joe, oh, rory did live.

Speaker 1 (01:08:15):
Rory did.
Okay, that's right.
Yeah, he won the masters.
Yeah, that's right.
Okay, jeremy, who you got rightI'm going bryson.

Speaker 2 (01:08:25):
Whoa, oh, holy moly.
Whoa, whoa, new irons in thebag.
Yeah, new irons in the bag.
I thought he was going to sayJordan Spieth 47 under, honestly
.

Speaker 3 (01:08:43):
My second choice.

Speaker 1 (01:08:44):
I'm going with the front runner because I don't
think anybody can hit the ballas straight as Scottie with his
irons.
I think putting may be aproblem for him there.
He is not the best putter inthe world by any stretch of the
imagination.
Oh, shout out Harry Hall.
He's number two strokes gameputting right now.
He's got his ranking back tohis lowest, his OWGR at 82, and

(01:09:09):
he's number 13 in overallstrokes gain on the season,
which is pretty freakingimpressive for the big man way
to go, harold way to go harold, harold uh yeah, I'm, I'm going
chef and I'm going low at twounder.
Uh, always chalk, always, chalk,always.
Well, no, I, I took Bryson forthe for the PGA do really well

(01:09:31):
there always chalk not, chalknot.

Speaker 2 (01:09:34):
I think no.
Notables are Tommy Fleetwood, sep Straka, shane Lowry somebody
else I forgot, I got the let'ssee here.

Speaker 1 (01:09:48):
Here it is.
Let me bring this up.
This is the odds.
I got them right here.
Scotty Schefter's a favorite.

Speaker 4 (01:09:59):
How about, like a Russell Henley?
He's been playing solid allyear.

Speaker 1 (01:10:03):
Let's see when is Russell.

Speaker 2 (01:10:05):
We got a Wakanaman at minus six.

Speaker 1 (01:10:10):
John Rahm is up there .

Speaker 4 (01:10:11):
He's playing good too .
He's playing great.
That's a good pick, ag.
I like that.

Speaker 1 (01:10:16):
There's Cantley at 4,500.
Kefka Jordan Spieth, hovland, terrell Hatton, please mic him
up.
Please mic him up.

Speaker 4 (01:10:25):
Yes, please you could do that on pay-per-view and I
would pay it for real sam burns.

Speaker 1 (01:10:31):
Sam burns is the best putter on the planet right now.
Um, even though he did not playoff, I watched him again,
bradley also bradley trying toplay himself into a playing
captain role.
Erger's back, harris English isplaying really well and we get
down Tony Finau, justin Rose.

Speaker 2 (01:10:53):
What about Justin Rose going?

Speaker 1 (01:10:54):
cross-handed with the chipping.
It's got to be a bridge thingright now.

Speaker 2 (01:10:58):
I think Justin Rose is a sleeper for sure, Min Woo
man.
