Speaker 1 (00:41):
Hey everybody, thanks
so much for tuning into this
week's show.
Hey everybody, thanks so muchfor tuning into this week's show
.
Yeah, I pretty much have ablank sheet over here.
Not a whole lot going on in thegolf world.
You know, there was a golftournament, we played a golf
(01:02):
tournament.
We can talk about the VGN event.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Joe had himself a
good day out there, decent, day,
decent day he was rolling the.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
Aurelia yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Scotty boy, How's it
Got paint?
Yeah, that's got paint right.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Love it Rolling it
really well too.
Congrats to you on your secondplace.
Finish out there.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
Are you going to keep
that butter in the bag for a
bit?
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Potentially yeah On
Sunday.
I want to see it on Sunday.
I might have to.
Yeah, it rolled really well.
I need to get it cleaned upthough.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Yeah, it needs a
little TLC, it needs a little
work.
It needs a little work.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
Shut up, cosby, let's
go.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
You were rolling a
great 30 years old Right?
Speaker 3 (01:55):
yeah, I mean, what is
that 96, 97?
Yeah, Dude, I loved it.
It was great.
It feels great.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
Fantastic, he was
rolling it great, I got a new
Goodwood.
New Goodwood arrives tomorrow.
For me it's a mallet, one oftheir mallets, so I'm looking
forward to that Going to bringthat out on this coming up
Sunday.
We got Mitch's Revenge.
If anybody is not aware of whatMitch's Revenge is, it's one of
(02:23):
the superintendent challengethings.
Greenskeeper's revenge,greenskeeper's revenge, yeah, so
they just set the course upreally, really difficult.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
And a very hard golf
course.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
From the back of the
back tees stretches it out to
7,600 yards.
Yeah, very difficult.
Golf course, that is made evenharder with stupid pin locations
, and ian out there was tellingme that their goal was to get
the greens to 13 and a half.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
So that's, that's
pretty amazing love it, yours,
love fast greens dan youremember?
Speaker 1 (03:04):
what happened on
number four last year oh yeah,
oh yeah uh yeah, first hole ofthe day yeah, that was insane,
so I'm sure we're gonna see alot more of that.
Uh, the course was.
We played our vg and event asour final major of the year out
there this past weekend, onsaturday, and the course was in
(03:25):
fantastic shape.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
It was looking good
honestly, they're doing so much
like it's crazy.
I've never even seen peopleworking out there, yeah, on the
grass, or like even the puttinggreen cutting it away, like you
know, like, and they've clearedso many things.
My thought is that they aretrying to clean it up to bring
investors in to play the courseand be like hey, we're going to
(03:49):
build this second course soon.
Do you want in?
That was my thought, cause itlooked way cleaner, way nicer,
cleaned up, tightened up a lot,a lot better than it's looked.
I mean, it's always been agreat course and it's always
looked great, but, like they're,they're detailing that place.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Yeah, so I think I
like.
I like all the cleanup thatthey've done, All the overgrowth
around the tee boxes on some ofthe tee box like 13 is is like
a lot more appealing when you'restanding on the tee box now
with all the brush down and gone.
Appealing when you're standingon the tee box now with all the
(04:28):
brush down and gone.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
Um, how they're
letting the rough grow around
the greens and the the bunkering.
I think that bunker rough isnasty so nasty we had, um, uh
nasty.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
It was andrew cohen
in our group.
He he came up and shortened thebunker on three, the par three,
and his bunker shot because itwas a back pin, so he flew it
all the way back.
It bounced on the green, bounced in the fringe and then
bounced into the rough.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
And I was like 12
feet away.
Took three hacks at it.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
We couldn't find it.
There was like three of uslooking for it, trying to find
it, in that I mean it was thick, thick, thick fescue I to find
it in that I mean it was thick, thick, thick fescue and I love
that.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
Oh, I mean it was
brutal really people, people
think it's unfair but like don'tgo there.
Hey, uh, pimpin fails in thehouse.
Green leaves in the house, let's go I mean it's just like
don't hit it there.
Yeah, it's a whole trey's mottoto play better.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Last week I tried
facetiming greenlee from the uh
golf course to wish him happybirthday and he was like not
talking to that guy uh so he didlove the video we sent him
though yeah, like five takesyeah no two, it was two it was
just two, I know don't telldon't tell eric that I go.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
Hey, happy birthday

Sounds like a you,
you, you, you.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
You, you you.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Dan, how was C coyote
for you?
Uh, coyote was good.
I actually for 16 holes Iplayed really well.
For two holes I played very badum which two.
I started off with a double onthe first hole, just completely
pulled it right into the shitand lost it.
And then, um, same thinghappened on eight pulled it
right into the shit and lost it.
And then same thing happened oneight pulled it right into the
shit, had to take an unplayableand it was damn near impossible
up and down.
So I had a double, a triple andthen went one under for 16
(08:53):
holes.
So I had it, man, I played.
Okay, just just those two holesdid me in.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Congrats to Trey the
three the three, band three P
three.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
Congrats to Trey the
three banger 3P for Trey Three
majors in a row at Coyote.
It's now Coyote Trey Springs.
Speaker 4 (09:13):
Trey is the mayor of
Coyote Springs.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
Coyote Springs, yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
He loves that place,
dude.
And also, if you guys havenever played golf in Vegas,
there are three courses that wetypically Recommend to you if
you're coming into town.
It's Paiute, Boulder Creek andCoyote Springs.
I mean, it's one of our topthree that we'll recommend.
It's fantastic course.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
Absolutely, and it's,
it's, it's I mean, it's always
in great shape and and it wasgood as fast.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
So it's fun man, and
it was good this past week.
It's fun man, Fun play it'shard as fuck it doesn't matter
what team you play.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
It doesn't matter
what team you play.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
Of course we'll kick
you in the fucking teeth, yeah
absolutely.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
I miss Royal Lynx too
.
Yeah, we all miss Royal Lynxman.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
God, it's so sad I
got my ass kicked.
I couldn't find a flat lie andjust wrecked me.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Yeah, you started
like shit, honestly, well, no, I
parred the first hole.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
I hit fairway.
And then it was disaster afterthat, and then I well, just that
second hole was shit.
Two really bad swings.
You just could not find it,just could not find it, could
not find it.
And then the only hole I get astroke on I parred.
So I'm like, okay, that's okay, did good there, and just a
(10:38):
couple here and there, and thenthat fucking four putt on.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
Let's take a second
and like some yeah you, I could
tell you were like frustratedand you lost it.
You were, you were about, youwere slamming your clubs a
little softly yeah softly on theground.
Yeah, so the better players inthis show.
Like what happens in yourthought process.
When you have a bad hole, doyou just forget it?
Dan jeremy, like what happensin your head.
Speaker 4 (11:06):
You have like, you
have to.
Yeah, it's the only way to liketurn it around.
Like I tripled nine.
I air mailed my second shotover the green and tripled it.
I don't know where I wasplaying, great.
And then you just, you justhave to like forget it.
It's the only way you cancontinue with your round,
otherwise it's all gonna go toshit.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
Yeah, I wasn't I
don't think I was.
I was upset with the bad play,I was just frustrated with my
poor execution.
You know, it's not like I wasdoing things that you know was
wrong, I just wasn't, I justwasn't executing it and uh, then
(11:45):
then you get the poor executionon it lies, it's like it just
compounds and and then I wasdied.
I that I had a whole thathorrible read on the sixth hole
that I had I thought was a great, you know, chance to make a
birdie and get back into it, andthen it just went sideways from
(12:06):
there and I was like but but Idrove the ball great, I missed
two fairways all day, drove theball great, you know I'm not a
big hitter.
So, uh, you know, uh, 67, 6800yards, what we're playing out
there at those blue tees, it's,it's not, it's not my wheelhouse
.
So you know, I gotta require, Igotta to depend on the long
(12:28):
shots and the and the short gameand my chipping was just trash,
just absolute trash, and that'swhat saved me so much and when
that, you know, driving's goodapproach game was okay, but
normally the chipping andputting is what saves me and and
I didn't give my any chancebecause the chipping was trash
out at coyote.
You cannot rely on chipping, and putting is what saves me and
and I didn't give my puttingany chance because the chipping
was trash out at coyote.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
You cannot rely on
chipping and putting out there
either you know, no, no this iscrazy, just moving around
there's a few.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
There's only a few
greens where you can't putt
defensive, especially when thegreens are fast oh yeah like
most of the time, you're tryingnot to run it by four or five,
six feet I mean I had.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
So I had some
fantastic shots ends out.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
There too.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
There was some nasty
boys out there I had some just
absolutely fantastic bunkershots that just you know,
nowhere near the hole where Ithought it was going to be,
except for on nine.
That one was good, but just youknow, when you get in that
situation then the greens arefast and the unrelated greens
out there and you have to bedefensive for par or to save
(13:33):
bogey.
It can get away from you reallyquick I had a nasty, nasty,
nasty chip skinner that we'regonna give something away we'll
give something.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
We got paint.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
Uh, I played new
wedges too, because that was in
the bunker, if it wouldn't hitthe flag, I mean I played new
wedges too, and they're theshafts are not good for me.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
I need to.
I need to go on golf works andget shafts for those or
something, because they're theyjust feel like wet noodles.
But that on 10, and it won mesome money too, which I liked.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
Did you get the same
lofts, yep?
Speaker 4 (14:13):
Same lofts, same
grinds.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
Yeah, but when it's
an OEM manufacturer we should
probably check those lofts.
And I already sold my last set,so we can't compare because I
sold them on whatnot the othernight.
But like anybody that knows, like Greenlee, just because it
says 54 on the club doesn't meanit's a 54.
(14:36):
So I'd be curious to check thembecause they are brand new,
they feel fantastic.
Shafts are not for me but uh,yeah, like I was talking to matt
and I was like I just don'tfeel with my 54.
54 is like my little feely clubwhere I can just like hit 40
yards, 50 yards, 60, 80, youknow little drosky cutter boys,
(15:02):
but I just I couldn't feel itlike I like I had no, I I mean I
just felt like it was doingthis when I was swinging.
So that's the shaft, obviously, but um, it's stock shafts.
Uh, tour issue, dynamic goldwedge tour issue on you know.
But uh, nobody on tour isplaying, that I would guarantee
(15:23):
you it's a wimpy noodle they'reprobably too light for you.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
They're probably too
light s200s right no, they're.
Speaker 3 (15:31):
They're well
supposedly s300s.
So dynamic, gold, wedge, flex,115 tour issue.
Oh, they're 115s yeah, sothere's, they're too light and I
don't mind it in my 60, becauseI don't.
I don't usually do full swingsin those, um, but dude, the 50
and the 54 just like.
(15:52):
I mean, I lost so much you hitsome great shots.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
Did that, though?
I mean on what did you hit?
On 18, because that was a greatapproach from the rough uh, I
was 54.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
That it was probably
because it was in the rough.
It probably helped me becauseit probably kicked it out of the
rough, you know, because itprobably bent and like, kicked
it and lifted it up out of therough.
That was a great shot.
I missed the putt,unfortunately, but, um, I I you
know my gap wedge was 115.
I hit it, I hit it full and itwent.
It went 98 yards.
(16:23):
I think on on my full shot thatI hit with it first time out
and obviously with fresh grooves.
Everything was like stoppingsuper quick and spinning a bit
like dude.
I was hitting some checker boys, like some chubby checkers and
uh, it was fun.
But uh, I need new shafts inthose and I also need custom
ferrules, which are over heresomewhere, because you gotta
(16:45):
have custom ferrules on yourwedges.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
Yeah, I'm gonna draw
stuff in the in the garage dan,
what shafts do you play in yourwedges?
Speaker 4 (16:54):
s400 okay, I've never
played anything but the stock
voki shafts, s200s.
Never even tried another wedgeshaft.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
I like to go a little
heavier but softer, like I
don't do the x 100s.
I have an x 100 in my 50 degree, but the 54 and 58 are as 400
um, just for a little softerright there, softer flex in
there, but they're still heavybecause I think that's 400s way,
like 128 or 130 or some shit.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
Yeah, I think I
fucked up because I wanted to
put these on my wedges.
These Albatross ferals, let'sdo that.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
There, you go
Instagram, what not?
Speaker 3 (17:35):
what not, what not,
what not.
But I think I gave one away onwhat not and I have to find
another one.
These are dumb Albatross feralsBB&F Co.
Put custom Ferrells on yourstuff.
That's all there, there you go.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Send your wedges to
Greenlee.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
Greenlee, I will
gladly send them to you.
I just need to find the shafts.
Dude, what's the pink shaft?
Whitney is playing on hisdriver.
I have no idea.
Hey Vic Sanchez in the house,Big old sandbagger Kidding bro.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
Start duck hooking
again.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
You caused Matt a lot
of drama.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
So much fucking grief
you son of a bitch.
God, I just tried to have apeaceful Sunday sitting on the
couch watching some football, hanging with the fam.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
Vic, it's getting to
the point.
I can't stick up for youanymore, bro.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
All I'm doing is
fighting with people.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Everybody wants Vic
out of his flight.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
Next year, everybody
else is going to decide how the
league is ran, and I'm justgoing to play Jesus Christ, good
God, you know, hey, and I'vesaid this to everybody that has
questioned it, I've played withVic.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
I have too, not
lately 96, 97 any day.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
But he'll also drop a
72, 74 any day he's been doing.
Drop a 72-74 any day he's beendoing it a lot lately.
When his driver's on the guy isgood.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
No the thing is is he
took his driver out of play.
He plays a mini driver now, andhe's bar none with one, sorry.
No mini driver off the tee.
He's bar none with it.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
So are you saying Vic
needs to be up in the diamonds?
Speaker 3 (19:26):
No Mini driver off
the tees, bar, none with it.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
So are you saying Vic
needs to?
Speaker 4 (19:30):
be up in the diamonds
no, Come on Vic.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Come on.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
Vic Come on up bro.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
He gets no strokes.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
the next two events
he's about to be a plus in the
spades is what's going to happen?
He's going to get bad strokesCome on.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
Vic.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Come on to the back
tee box.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
That's what will
happen.
We'll put Vic there.
He'll get plus four strokes andbeat you guys and then I'll
hear it all from you guys.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
Hell, no, I'm going
to go back and do this.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
No, he gets plus in
our division.
No, he doesn't get plus indiamonds, he gets plus in our
division.
I've been sticking up forVictor a long time.
Speaker 1 (20:02):
Dude.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
I'm getting a little
tired of it, Vic.
So much unnecessary stress inmy life I've seen him duck hook
so many times, guess you ain'tduck hooking much, no more dog.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
I always tell the
same story.
It happened at Prim Valley.
He was behind me and Alessandroand AG and I were tied with Vic
and we had three holes left togo and he air mailed his tee
shot from 15 into the 16 fairwayand I was like, yes, and he
(20:44):
made birdie.
And that's when I was like, allright, vic can play it can play
.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
It can definitely
play, hey, but that's the thing,
dude.
I mean even like chris from umtorres fame always hits me up.
He's like like how do you do,how do you deal with that?
Because he gets hit up all thetime, you know oh, I'm sure the
tropicana guys love him butthat's, I mean, that's every
(21:11):
league, every league deals withit, like even like you even
dealt with with me, you knowlike oh yeah you know, it just
it's it's.
It's the way it is.
Golf is a man.
Sometimes you play good, sometimes you play very shitty.
Most of the time you playshitty and then you play good
once and you're like, oh, thatfool's a sandbag.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
I've learned anytime
Vic wins, I just need to turn my
phone off for 24 hours.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
There you go, put
your chanclas on and go eat some
tacos.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
Just respond to every
message.
If this is about Vic Chan saysdon't, don't at me, at me later.
So yeah, All right.
So hey, we got a bunch ofpeople in the chat.
Thank you so much for beinghere.
You know we don't have a lotscheduled this week.
There's not a whole lot goingon.
Like I said at the beginning ofthe show, there is.
You know, Scotty Scheffler wonshockingly again.
(22:05):
Another uh arrow in the philwas wrong.
Uh, about uh him not winninguntil the writer cup.
Uh, he's done that five timesfive.
Is it his fifth win this year?
Speaker 2 (22:17):
six, yeah, six yeah
just absolutely ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
Um, so congrats,
scotty.
Um, but I wanted to uh, youknow, maybe maybe some of the
people that are new that arelistening don't know a lot about
us and are, you know, a lot ofthem have come over from whatnot
.
Uh, they may not know a lotabout us.
So, uh, if anybody has anyquestions you have for us, throw
(22:43):
, throw them out there.
I was doing a little throwbacktonight earlier, looking because
Joe's always saying on whatnight?
Hey, we've been doing thepodcast for six years and I was
like no, it hasn't been sixyears and I'm thinking it's only
been like five, but you'reright, it was six years and four
months ago.
the very first episode was out.
(23:04):
That was may 21st of 2019, sowe're a pre-covid podcast yeah,
those don't exist.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
There's not many of
those that exist not many of
those out there.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
There's a bunch
post-covid or during covid but
not pre-covid.
Yeah, yeah, that's crazy.
Then let's see on episode 48 iswhen Joe officially joined the
show.
He was on for three episodesprior to that.
I think four episodes becausewe had when Roden and Brian.
Goff and Julian were all hangingout in the backyard for one
(23:40):
night, but he did the Vegasrankings with me and then came
on the show officially when ryanmoved away.
Yeah and uh then, and jeremywas even surprised at this uh,
it was, it was only uh.
Three months later, jeremyjoined I thought it was like a
(24:01):
year later yeah, jeremy thoughtit was like a year later was he
on time for his first show.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
Uh, probably he used
to come up here.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
He used to have to
come up here and it was
pre-recorded yeah, that's rightyeah episode 48 was the
beginning of the downfall that'swhere it all began, austin uh
uh yeah, so september september30th of 2020, when Jormie joined
.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
Austin, we have an
email.
The homie has an email in toFranchise Runzas in Las Vegas.
I'll just say that go ahead.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
Cliff, god bless him.
And yeah, then.
Episode 233 is when Mr Hodgesjoined the foursome.
That was two years, one monthand two days ago, wow.
Jamar, I see you Almost fiveyears, jeremy, almost five years
.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
These are so good.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
I love these.
Oh, I thought you were cheers.
I'm sorry, no, we were, because.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
Jeremy likes the topo
chico, shout out topo chico you
know almost, uh.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
So six years and four
months is how long we've been
doing this, for which is insaneif you think about it.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
It's kind of wild.
It really is.
How old is theo?
Yeah, theo is five and a halfish pre-theo that was.
I mean, I remember like, yeah,I remember katie was gonna give
birth to theo and I was like Ithink I played with you
hardenbrook, and who else was itreed?
(25:36):
At prim print at prim and I waslike guys, this is in the end
of my golf career they weregonna golf again, he thought.
And we walked it, which wascrazy.
Speaker 1 (25:48):
We walked it.
We walked yeah.
Ryan left after 15 holes.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
Yeah, because 15
coming into the yeah.
And I was like that's my lastround ever.
Speaker 4 (26:01):
Then you played again
.
You played again with me atCram Before.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
Theo was born.
That's the first time I met youguys.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
And then I got
abandoned.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
Three times Cause of
golf trips Every three months.
Speaker 4 (26:18):
I played more golf
after I had kids Than before
Shut up my wife.
Speaker 1 (26:26):
Shut up all the wives
.
All right, dan?
Um, so yeah, if anybody's gotany, any questions, throw them
out there.
You know, when we started doingthis, uh, youtube live wasn't
an option for us.
We were just recording and thenthrowing them out there.
But the guys would come up tothe house and we'd all sit
(26:49):
around a table and just shootthe shit and record it.
Crazy.
So much, so much has changedsince then.
The remote side of this isawesome now, because now we can
sit at home, we don't have todrive up to california to yeah
yeah fucking arizona yeah andand come hang out um, so at
(27:14):
least I get to see you guys.
It was nice when you're here, but a lot of changes throughout
the years.
Uh, the the live thing westarted doing.
I have to look and see whenthat first live show was where
we started doing them ontuesdays.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
It's about a year and
a half, I have to think well,
when I'm doing it this way, Imean it sounds like episode 1000
, like we're.
We're like looking back at thedays when we where we began.
But when I started I was likelike, if we're going to do this,
we have to go.
We have to have a day a timeevery single week and no
exceptions.
(27:49):
We got to be consistent.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
And that's what was
exciting for me, because that's
what I wanted to do and Ryan wasa busy man and just couldn't
make that happen.
So Joe came in at the perfecttime because it was probably not
gonna go much further than whatit did.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
um, but we had some
good you can't record in like
honda civics with a, like aaudio recorder and just have a
podcast that makes it.
But hey, I appreciate all youguys.
Ask her questions please.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
Questions, questions,
questions bring them, bring
them on, bring them on.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
It sounds like an
episode 350 thing, but uh, hey,
I got paint.
Speaker 4 (28:27):
Yeah, take your
driver out, get a mini we should
talk about our history, each ofour history of golf.
That would be interesting oh,you do that I think we've done
that.
We've done that before I thinka lot I mean a lot of there's
new.
There's new on right now, though I don't know will jeremy
start what's?
Speaker 3 (28:44):
what's how did you
get involved in so jeremy was
gonna sell me his landman redhat and he's like I'm kind of
like dude I've heard.
Speaker 4 (28:53):
I'll start it, I put
it on.
I put it on joy's, like that.
Actually looks really good onyou.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
I think I'll text you
so, yeah, my uh, my dad got me
in the golf.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
My, my whole.
Yeah, my dad got me into golf.
My whole side of my dad'sfamily plays golf, so it's
always.
We've always, that's the thingwe've always done.
But I started when I was liketwo or three years old, just
going out with my dad and then, off and on until I was a
teenager, played in high schooland then stopped playing
altogether till like 2014 andthen started up again and took
(29:28):
it serious and tournaments andyeah, I mean it's been crazy.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
Thinking back, what a
story.
Yeah, I mean, I've always beena tight list.
Speaker 4 (29:40):
I've always been a
titleist whore the whole the
whole career until recently,until recently.
Now I have like three titleistclubs in my bag.
Great, that is pretty.
So it's very diverse, it's true, and it's all the all blaming
on you guys, because before Imoved here and met you guys, my
(30:02):
bag was very high list and therewas no changing.
There was nothing like that.
There was no hitting on the, onthe sims to get numbers and all
that stuff and uh, so you guyshave done all that damage to me.
So now I'm a tinkerer, I trynew brands, I find new, new
(30:22):
thing, like new level irons, like who would ever thought that
I would love new level irons?
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
Right.
Speaker 4 (30:28):
And a Callaway driver
Utah.
Speaker 1 (30:30):
Jeremy is not happy
with Vegas.
Jeremy.
Speaker 4 (30:33):
No, and it's funny
because some of my Utah friends
every time you'll say somethingabout Jeremy getting fitted for
a Callaway driver, or Jeremy'splaying new level irons, it's
like he's not going to play thatdriver.
He playing new level irons,it's like he's not gonna play
that driver and he's onlytitleist.
That's all he ever plays.
Speaker 3 (30:47):
But yeah I, I would
say that that's one of the great
things and that's that's like atestament, right like.
I feel like I mean, I don'twant to tout us, but we've made
you better in a way, right like.
Speaker 4 (31:02):
I agree.
I think I'm better than I'veever been currently.
Sometimes my low score hasn'tbeen for a long time, but
overall, like with each club inmy bag, I feel like I'm better
than I've ever played.
Speaker 3 (31:14):
Yeah, as Eric says,
you're broadening your horizons,
like do not be closed minded, like be open to the
possibilities of other thingsand try things and figure it out
.
And that's what we always sayplay what works for you and you
were, you were a loyalist totitleist, no issues with that.
(31:35):
Got the desk caddy, yeah that'sa, that's a skinny can koozie
skinny, skinny, can koozies, butit's like you know, like don't
be locked down to one thing, no,Did you see my post about Alex
Noren's driver?
Yes.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
So he plays a Max D
Benny Farrell's.
Oh yeah, max D.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
Oh yeah, I can't
believe that yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
You know, at negative
two is an eight degree, at nine
degree head and he's playing itat seven degrees.
But it's, it's a super draw bya super forgiving head and I was
like just blew me away that aplayer of that caliber would
have that head in their bag.
But just goes to show you.
You know, not everything isonly for one type of swing or
(32:26):
one type of player.
Speaker 3 (32:27):
If you got it, you
have to mess with shit to find
out if something is going to getyou what you want, you know get
you that window that you wantto see I I try and stop myself
from saying things like this, but I'll say it like it's like
there's hype around clubs andthings and seven woods and zero
(32:50):
torques and uh things like that.
It's like it doesn't matterwhat the pros play.
Okay, like scotty can play hisshit, and uh, he can.
That dude can play a max dfucking off the rack.
Like what was that story threeyears ago where the dude played
a ping that was off the rack andhe's like I'm not, and and he
(33:12):
was sponsored or he was a player, tour player.
He's like no, this works for me, play what works for you.
Okay, at the end of the day, play the shit that works for you
and I will always.
If you love a lab, if you lovea spider zt, if you play 1970s
(33:32):
uh, ben hogan's or persimmons,if that works for you to play
that game, go.
Speaker 4 (33:37):
Yeah, play what works
for you boyd, I hope you enjoy
hobble creek.
That's my favorite place onearth where I'm sorry, hobble
creek in springville, where Igrew up.
Yeah, if there was one place.
I could play forever.
That would be really high onthe list, I thought landman was
number one I mean, it's myfavorite course, but if I'm
(33:58):
gonna have to stay one courseforever that I can play and I
can walk it, I know that courselike the back of my hand.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
That's the place yeah
that's the ditch for me.
I'm just the ditch.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
Oh, I was gonna say
wow no, I just grew up.
Speaker 1 (34:16):
I grew up by that
course.
So it's, it's, you know, got alittle nostalgic nostalgic got a
little place in the heart forme, so dan, I want to hear your
story jordy going to hobble in acouple weeks.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
Shout out, shout out,
the flavor wizards in the house
.
I love to see it oh, here we go.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
You got a question
before dan gets to his.
Do you guys have any big goalsdown the road regarding personal
or show oriented?
Uh, I mean it would be nice toget paid to do this, but you
know we got to be better.
Um, that would be fun.
I, I would like.
Uh, you know we got garson.
We got garson on board with usright now.
(34:53):
We love garson.
It was a great deal we you havewith them.
Uh, would love to get some morebrands that we love to
represent involved in the show.
This is a hobby for us.
We're not trying to make afortune doing this.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
Joe Rogan money Joe
Rogan money.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
If we can cover the
cost to put this show out and
maybe get a perk here and thereto help bring better content to
you guys, absolutely that's agoal.
More CDP merch Okay.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
We'll get there.
We'll get there.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
I can make that
happen.
I can make that happen.
We have a store.
We do have a store.
Yeah, there's not a lot ofstuff in there right now.
It's so finicky because whatpeople want and what people like
, and then they tell you theywant it and then you put it in
there right now.
And it's so finicky becausewhat, what people want and what
people like, and then they tellyou they want it and then you
put it in there and nobody buysit.
So, personally, um gosh, that'sa.
(35:55):
That's a big open-endedquestion.
Um, in my personal life or mygolf life.
So personal life life I'm onthis weight loss goal right now
that I'm working on.
That's me my golf life.
I've actually played moreconsistent in the past year and
a half than I have in a longtime.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
But well, that's me.
He's got the title as bad ashis koozie.
Speaker 3 (36:22):
Yeah, there we go.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
It's a skinny can
koozie I sold mine perfect uh, I
just want to.
I just want to keep going withthis consistent golf that I've
been playing and and playing alittle bit better, 8 am birdie
juice joint.
Speaker 4 (36:36):
I mean you guys,
you're doing great with it, matt
getting there it's kind of along way in the last like oh
it's, it's come a long way.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
In the last, like oh
it's come a long ways, you know
I got to the you know, had a badround of Coyote.
It didn't get me down.
I was more disappointed in mymental preparation.
But you know I kind of fuckedup and had the wrong time, and
you know anybody that runs agolf league and then you have to
go play in the golf league thatyou're running when shit hits
the fan before you tee off.
Speaker 3 (37:07):
It is not enjoyable
is that david dues in it?
Sorry, I think I might havemissed that anyway.
So, uh, long-term goals.
I was gonna say this, like whatnothing uh, favorite favorite
(37:28):
golf shoe brand true links where?
But?
Um, I think, I think, uh, Icould say that.
I mean, maybe I might be wrong, but speaking for the collective
, I think the long-term goal forthe podcast is educating new
golfers to have fun, play well, respect the course, respect the
(37:52):
people behind you, enjoy themoments of golf.
Right, you guys are, a lot ofnew golfers are here and there
is a huge world out there, likeI'm talking about the entire
world, like the golf world isstill huge.
Connect with people thatappreciate the game, because
(38:16):
that's what I enjoy the most.
I love connecting with peoplethat truly love this game,
because I truly do, and I knowyou guys truly love this game,
because I truly do, and I knowyou guys truly love this game,
whether you're a stat nerd, agear nerd, a architecture nerd
or you just got to get away toplay some G with the homies.
(38:36):
Connect with people.
That's my goal.
Connect with the people in thisworld that truly love this game
, because it 100% is for real,my favorite thing to do and
taking golf trips with thehomies to land man or where,
wherever it is.
(38:56):
You know what I mean.
Like I want to.
I want to connect with morepeople that love it the way that
I do and are willing to play inthe rain, willing to play in
the 40 mile an hour winds, because that's, honestly, when
you have the most fun, becausescore doesn't matter at the end
of the day.
Personally, that's my opinion, but I want to create experiences
(39:22):
that I'll remember in themoments that when I'm on my
deathbed, that I am like oh, youknow that that ace on sheep,
ranch number seven that Dan hit,I'll remember that for my
entire life, like that's.
That's the things, man.
Speaker 1 (39:42):
Not mine, though, so
Well we didn't't see it.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
I saw that.
We saw dan's going, I saw it.
I saw it matt, it was very, itwas dust, I mean.
But I'll remember that as well,I'll remember that as well you
know, you know what I mean.
it's like.
It's like there's so manymoments, you know like I'll
probably remember that littlechip ski inner on number 10 at
Coyote for the rest of my life.
(40:05):
Oh, I had new clubs.
I had a little toe-down chipski, open-faced, stand-up,
60-degree, and it would haveblew past the hole but it went
in and I made $150 off that.
But it's like that's what it isfor me.
It's the moments.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
I was going to hold
half of his winnings because
I've been trying to tell him formonths to get into net skins
and he's like nah, nah, nah.
So he finally does it and hewins the net skins hey.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
But hey, I didn't get
into ctp.
So yeah, and I'm glad I didn'twho won ctp on that one, by the
way?
Speaker 1 (40:41):
uh, jason burnett, I
believe it's a nine feet I think
what a player.
Yeah, fellow utah in, but sohere, I'll, I'll, uh, let me
bring up this.
Share my screen.
There it boom, there it is.
It's up there.
Guys see, we have one item.
(41:03):
It's got the.
Uh, it's up there.
Guys See, we have one item.
It's got the On the back side,it's the no Vowels.
Speaker 3 (41:09):
I think what we need
to do is make some of those and
we'll sell them on the what NotShow.
Speaker 1 (41:13):
Yeah, there, that's
all the colors and sizes that
are available.
That's what it looks like onthe back.
Speaker 3 (41:18):
That's what we need
to do.
We need to get some of thoseand just sell them on the show.
Well, not show 100% ring-spuncotton.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
It says inspired by
Hattie and Greens Does it really
yeah, oh, okay, inspired by.
Hattie and Greens.
Speaker 3 (41:36):
Hey, also shout out
the homie Melter Wave in
Cambodia.
He's not in Cambodia, I forgetwhere he lives, but that's the
designer.
He does all my stuff and he didthe chasing daylight podcast
logo.
So shout out, melter wave so wegot one.
Speaker 1 (41:50):
We got one item, but
we also have some shirts that
are whatnot exclusive, that youcan only get on whatnot so, and
ball markers yeah, so follow joeshow for that stuff.
So all right, let's hear yourstory um got started real young.
Speaker 2 (42:11):
I was about three or
four.
My, my father and mygrandfather got me swinging
clubs and then they got me intojunior golf.
So I grew up playing juniorgolf all my life high school
golf.
Shortly after high school, uhdecided to turn pro.
I figured that was what I wasgonna do and uh, um did the pat,
did all that shit and then kindof got sidetracked with doing
(42:35):
the pga portion, doing the golfshop stuff, and I just said,
fuck it, I'm, I'm getting betterat golf than I am wanting to be
in the golf shop.
So I was lucky enough to playin a few tournaments and get a
get a little bit of arecognition through a sponsor
and from there I was able totravel the country a little bit
(42:56):
and play some mini tour events, did that for about three years
and then reality set in andrealized I needed to get a real
job, because being aprofessional golfer on tour is
very, very freaking hard to do.
Um, very yeah.
So came back to vegas and uhjust continued golfing and
caddying and you know, stillkind of, still kind of uh want
(43:20):
to play um some big events.
Um, I need to work on my game alittle bit, but, uh, I
definitely want to play some bigevents.
I need to work on my game alittle bit, but I definitely
want to get in some USGA events, some mid-am events, some US
Open qualifiers next year.
Yes, yeah, I'm going to try.
Definitely need to get better, because shooting a 75 or 76 at
(43:41):
Coyote Spring is not going to doit.
Speaker 3 (43:43):
Hang on, cut it.
Speaker 2 (43:45):
But yeah, I still
have a few goals for myself,
golf-wise Personal goals.
Continuing on getting healthierI'm currently down about almost
65 pounds from the start of theyear.
That's impressive.
So yeah, other than that, justkind of work on getting
healthier and get more fit, andhopefully that will translate
(44:07):
into getting my golf swingbetter and uh can continue, uh,
playing this game I love yeah, did you see your youtube hater I
did not know you're.
Speaker 1 (44:19):
You're a pretty
average, below average golfer
according to your youtube righton my god man, uh no, you, just
you hit this beautiful cut offthe tee at coyote that I shared
and sliced it.
Sliced it oh, that was jeremy'sone.
Yeah, but, dan comment, I meanyou just hit this beautiful cut
(44:40):
over the left corner, right inthe middle of the fairway.
You look like a below averagegolfer to me.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
I do look like a
below average golfer.
I do dress kind of shabby outthere Shabby, shabby, shabby
golfer.
You want to see the game?
Bring your ass out to thecourse and we'll see.
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (45:04):
There you go.
Yeah, let's go, there you go.
Oh Joe, what do you?
Speaker 3 (45:13):
We can Ready.
Speaker 1 (45:15):
Are we good for it?
Are we ready?
Speaker 3 (45:17):
Give me like an intro
song.
Speaker 1 (45:19):
Hang on, I got it
right here.
Speaker 3 (45:28):
It all started as a
young child in Germany, in
Germany, in Germany.
So, okay, when I was a kid, mydad played golf.
He bought me a set of dancehands.
I used to play.
(45:51):
My dad used to play golf.
He never broke 80.
And I'll always remember theday when I called him.
I said, hey, I shot a 79.
He's like dope.
I never did that, but I used toplay when I was a kid with my
uncle and my dad and my cousinand there was a ravine at angel
(46:12):
park, number 17.
Palm chorus could never clearit because I had shitty ass big
five clubs and my uncle had abig bertha, uh, driver three
wood.
Whatever he handed me.
I cleared the ravine first timeand I was like dad I need new
clubs.
He's like, no, you're good withwhat you have.
And then I I didn't play againuntil I was 33, I think whoa uh,
(46:39):
because this is the.
You know what I mean.
So it's 20 years later, yeahexactly.
That's 100% what it is, it'sexactly what it is.
I was like Dad, if you're notgoing to give me the tools to do
it, then hey, what's the point?
You know what I mean?
It's like play what works foryou.
(46:59):
That one worked for me, itdidn't work for me, the others
didn't work for me.
So, hey, what am I going to dothis for?
Always enjoyed riding the cart.
I have.
You should do it Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (47:13):
I still hold that I
really took that no and held a
grudge.
Speaker 3 (47:16):
What could have been?
Speaker 1 (47:17):
guys.
Speaker 3 (47:17):
What could have been
you?
never, know, you never know, dancould have been my physio.
Uh, you know, jeremy could havebeen my putting coach, matt
could have been my fitter I'mkidding, but um, yeah, it took a
long time and I worked with theguy and top golf was a big
thing, big, big, big big thing, and I was like he's like, let's
(47:41):
go.
So I went, I went to a birthdayparty, started hitting balls,
slicing everything, straight upinto Swenson Ave and I liked it,
went to go play with him andI'll never forget the shot, that
, that, that, that that got meDesert Willow, desert Willow,
number six to nine, I think, over water to five feet.
(48:04):
That's the shot Hooked, hooked.
Everybody's got that shot Hooksyou.
And uh, yeah, it's been fullthrottle ever since.
Love this game, love all thepeople I've met because of it.
I feel like I am a betterperson because of golf and uh,
yeah, I went to met any of youguys and you guys are my best
(48:26):
friends.
And it's like, just because ofgolf, you know, it's, it's wild,
like it's amazing that theamount of people I know, like in
different areas also, instagram, instagram connects you with
other people that it's justcrazy, man, it's the, it's the
best.
And, uh, I broke par one time.
(48:48):
I got really good and I waslike I found myself fighting to
break par every time and eversince then I was like fuck that,
I want to enjoy my time outhere because we don't get to
play golf all the time.
You know like if you're acyclist, you get on your bike at
night, go, go ride your cycle,go do what you want.
(49:11):
If you're a painter, you can doit at home, but if the lights
aren't on or the sun's not out,you can't play golf.
And it's my favorite shit inthe world.
And then I we took the golftrip, me and Matt went to
abandoned abandoned solstice.
That was like my first realgolf trip and, uh, it's the best
(49:31):
go experience the world.
I never went anywhere.
I think the only place I'veever been was California and
Tijuana, and I've seen more ofTJ baby when I was five.
Speaker 1 (49:46):
When you were five.
When you were five.
Speaker 3 (49:50):
My uncle was in the
Navy.
They lived in San Diego, butit's like Golf has.
That's a high school rite ofpassage in the navy.
So it was like they.
They lived in san diego, butit's like hell yeah, golf has uh
like that's a high school riteof passage, but five no, yeah,
it was five or six.
I mean this is back in what?
1991, 92, somewhere aroundthere, um.
But it's like golf will open somany doors for you and I
(50:13):
appreciate the game so muchbecause it's brought me to so
many dope people, it's given meso many experiences, it's showed
me so much more of the greatcountry of the United States of
America I never would have everin my life imagined I'd be in
Nebraska.
And it's all because of golfand I appreciate every shot I
(50:33):
get to hit and I appreciateevery moment, every shot I get
to hit and good or bad, triplebogey, birdie, eagle, quad,
bogey, pickup, whatever it is, Ijust love being out there
because it's given me so much.
And I know they always sayyou'll never be able to repay
the game, but game's given me somuch and it's given me you guys
(50:57):
, and I'm crying, you're cryingit's so funny, the on on six.
Speaker 1 (51:04):
I made that that putt
.
That just ended up in aabsolutely horrible spot.
And I know andrew and chrisknow we're friends but I don't
think they know how close we are.
Joe goes, nice putt.
They were like nice friend youhave there.
Speaker 3 (51:23):
Yeah Well, Andrew was
like I know that's one of those
things, bro.
Your good friends will talkshit to you always.
Speaker 1 (51:32):
Oh, absolutely,
absolutely.
Speaker 3 (51:34):
That's because of
golf shout out the game of golf
great game ever created.
Speaker 4 (51:38):
That was the shit.
Speaker 2 (51:39):
Follow the bookmark
shows that's funny that you
mentioned instagram, though, joe, because, like, literally,
that's the only reason why Ieven met matt you know, right,
yeah yeah, the vgm, or even toknowing you guys, just following
his Breakfast Ball account andseeing the tournament at Paiute
(52:01):
what was it called?
Speaker 3 (52:01):
again Legends,
legends.
Speaker 2 (52:03):
Never Die yeah.
Speaker 3 (52:08):
The Hidden Green
started because I was trying to
post pictures of the golfcourses and the conditions they
were in.
Every time I would play it,post pictures so you could see
what the greens or fairwayslooked like, and then I would
tag it with vegas.
And then matt found me becausehe was a social media sniper
just trying to grow thebreakfast ball golf, uh, blog
(52:30):
and uh, and then we met atshriners.
but Instagram has helped golfcommunities form, which is so
cool.
It totally does, and that's whyI don't even go on.
I haven't been on my personalInstagram in six years.
I haven't even been on Facebookin six years.
My golf page Instagram iscurated to hip-hop, golf and the
(52:59):
occasional twerk situation.
Speaker 1 (53:04):
Zero, twerk, twerk,
twerk.
Did you say twerk?
Speaker 2 (53:10):
Zero twerk, twerking.
Got new title as driver andfucking ass cheeks.
Speaker 3 (53:17):
Zero twerk.
I'm trying to get zero twerk, Imean nobody can escape it,
nobody can escape it it'simpossible.
Speaker 1 (53:30):
Oh, alright, so my
story.
It's a long one, but I'llcondense it down.
I started playing golf when Iwas young.
My granddad used to take mewhen he would play and ride in
the cart.
I never got to play, but I gotto be out there with him and
just being outside and seeingthe different courses and seeing
the being out in the air andseeing the animals on the course
(53:52):
, it was just always somethingthat I wanted to do.
And seeing the animals on thecourse, it was just always
something that I wanted to do.
As I got older, my friends inmiddle school and high school
played golf, and I'm a naturallefty and I wanted to play golf
with them.
But I didn't have any clubs, soI had to swing right-handed if
(54:13):
I wanted to play.
So we used to.
We used to ride our bikes downto um the ditch back then it was
called desert Rose, uh, and youknow they'd let us walk for
three bucks, and so that's how Iplayed I, that's how I was
introduced to the game and andthat's uh, you know I never took
lessons or anything.
My dad was a big baseball guyand I'm like, hey, will you buy
me some golf clubs.
He's like nope, not happening.
(54:35):
So never really had any newequipment.
Had some of my granddad's oldNicholas Persimmons clubs that
we'd mess around with.
But once I got a job and I wasmaking money I bought some
left-handed clubs the Prima orthe Kenworth or something I
can't remember what they'recalled but, they sold them at
(54:56):
Sports Authority.
You could buy individual clubsleft-handed, and so I bought a
driver, some irons putter andplayed left-handed for a little
while.
But I was hitting the ballbetter right-handed, so went,
started playing right-handedagain.
Uh, and then life, career, work, all happened and didn't really
(55:17):
play, except for the occasionalhey buddies were going out to
go play, bachelor party gonna goplay type situation, um, and
then when most of my, my goodfriend, pat, moved away, and
when he'd come back in town we'dgo play with some of the guys
we all grew up with and theyalways had side bets, always had
side bets, and I was like Isuck, you know.
So after one year playing withthem, I was like man, I really
(55:41):
want to get in those games.
I gotta get better at golf.
So I'm gonna, I'm gonna takethis serious.
I the photography thing waskind of going away.
I found bloggercom because blogswere just 2008, 2009, I think
(56:03):
it was, yeah, um, and so I Icreated, uh, the breakfast ball.
My, my buddy, randy, is a big.
Every time we play, he's like I, he's like I'm taking a
breakfast ball, I'm taking abreakfast ball.
And so I called it thebreakfast ball and just started
writing.
That landed me after doing thatfor a while.
That landed me someopportunities to write for some
(56:24):
review sites.
That really gave me a lot ofgolf insider knowledge about how
product works.
And you know I went to the PGAshow and and the guy that ran,
uh, three guys golf stillconsider a friend and a mentor.
He helped me so much learnabout seo and and uh, creating
(56:45):
websites and and how to properlyreach and talk to brands.
Um, but one thing that reallyset me back and it's it's funny
to hear me say this now becauseI do switch stuff quite a bit,
but testing equipment forreviews is not a great way to
(57:09):
enhance a golf game.
Some things just are not foryou, but you got to play it if
you want to do an honest reviewabout things.
And then, when Three Guys Golfkind of went in a different
direction and I wanted to go ina different direction, I started
turning the Breakfast Ball intoa review site, did that for a
(57:30):
while and you know that's how Imet you guys through a lot of
that and uh, I just want to sayhi and thank you boys, thank you
, tradition maddie, appreciateyou.
Uh, it's my passion for golfhas just taken off from there.
Uh started the podcast withryan, the Vegas Golf Network.
(57:55):
After that, covid got me intobuilding clubs because I went
into Golf Galaxy to get newgrips and they told me it was
going to be a week and a halfand I was like not happening.
So just Ryan had some club gearso he let me borrow some stuff
(58:15):
until I got my own and just havebeen teaching myself that side
of it.
I love the club building aspect.
I wish I had all the fancytools that all the great club
builders have, because it doesmake it a little bit easier.
But I think I'm doing prettygood with the club building
stuff and the VGN sprouted fromall that.
(58:37):
My life is encapsulated in thegolf game, with the podcast, the
blog, the VGN playing with youguys now fitting for Callaway,
doing fittings for Callaway.
It's been a whirlwind of golf.
So what are you grinning at?
Speaker 3 (58:57):
crazy uh, austin said
, right on the shitter, shout
out tradition golf.
Go follow that man, let's gothe next golf trip oh man,
there's so many on the list.
There's so many on the listit's it's hard my number one is
(59:18):
still gamble sands.
Speaker 1 (59:19):
Right now I want to
get to gamble sands and I want
to get to wisconsin those.
Those are two really big spotsthat I want to get to with
everybody I would say that mynumber one is sand valley, no
question yeah yeah, no question, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (59:37):
Valley.
I just want to go to Landmanwith Dan, I do kind of want to
go to.
Speaker 3 (59:40):
I do.
I mean, that is up there andBob and Trey.
Speaker 1 (59:43):
I would love to see
Bob at Landman, you guys were
talking about it and I was likeman, I just went.
I don't know if I want to goback, but I was like you know it
would be a completely differentexperience this time, because
we wouldn't do the same thing.
The only same thing we would dois landmine, you know, because
there's other things that we cando.
You know there's other placeswe can play, that we can go a
different direction.
You know we can go east fromNebraska instead of west.
(01:00:05):
So there's all kinds ofdifferent things that we could
do.
Speaker 3 (01:00:08):
So yeah, we could go
play one of your favorite
courses is prairie dunes.
Speaker 4 (01:00:19):
Very, it's, it's very
close.
You know prairie dunes, top 100, the one that you always
prairie club, dunes, the dunesclub.
Speaker 3 (01:00:22):
Yeah, I thought we
were going to.
Yeah, the one you thought wewere going to yeah, is that in
kansas?
Speaker 1 (01:00:28):
it's in kansas.
That's in the middle of nowhereas well all good, matt I'm a
real volleyball player
Speaker 3 (01:00:37):
I'm a real, what not
her?
Speaker 1 (01:00:41):
uh, short people's
asses and beach volleyball.
That's hilarious no and if youguys don't love the short people
of tradition golf, either likego back listen to that episode
go follow tradition TraditionGolf on Instagram.
We had him on a show recentlyand we were in Alabama, austin
(01:01:04):
says east of Nebraska takes youto Iowa.
Stay away from that place.
Speaker 3 (01:01:10):
Dude, the res, the
res.
That's so funny.
I would love to take Dude.
I want to play Bally Neal, sobad Shout out Tom Jones.
Speaker 1 (01:01:30):
It looks amazing.
So many places to go, so manyplaces to go.
Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
That's the thing, bro
.
I call golf the never-endingquest.
You'll never play all the golfcourses in the entire world like
it's not possible.
And that's what's so cool aboutit.
It's like a real life quest.
To just just throw everythingin your pocket, like you know,
like I collect logo balls and II don know what I'm going to do
(01:01:55):
with all these.
They're overflowing, my ballsare overflowing and it's just
crazy.
But it's like it's thenever-ending quest.
They're overflowing, bro.
My balls are overflowing.
Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
It's a family show,
joe, yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:02:18):
But I just want to.
I just want to figure out whatto do with.
Speaker 1 (01:02:23):
I just want to figure
out what to do with all of them
, you know think about thisright, because this is something
that I've been trying to get mymom to understand is think
about theo, when, when you'reyou're old and in the home and
you're like here's my logo golfball collection son, here you go
(01:02:45):
and what do you think he'sgoing to do with it.
Speaker 3 (01:02:47):
He's going to be like
this shit is dope as fuck
because Theo does love golf,he's going to take it to
Goodwill and someone's going tosell it on whatnot I mean really
, you guys are correct I know Iknow that, I know you guys are
right, but like it's just one ofthose things, bro, it's like
the, the golf balls are a checkmark for me, like I've been
(01:03:07):
there, I played that and don'tmean shit, doesn't matter, it's
a fucking golf ball, it's apinnacle with a logo and like
who cares at the end of the day?
Speaker 1 (01:03:18):
I know this answer
because we've gone on so many
golf trips together witheverybody.
But what for the listeners outthere, what is something that if
you go to a golf course, youhave to get a new golf course?
I know, joe, you're the logoball.
I used to do poker chips, butnot every course does poker
chips.
Is there something that youguys like you have to?
If you go to a place, you'releaving with this no matter what
(01:03:40):
here.
Speaker 3 (01:03:41):
Here's my thing,
though.
So like I don't even want theselogo balls, I don't want them.
But when I started playing golf, my buddy was like, hey, you
should get like we should getlogo balls at each place we go
to.
I was like, yeah, you're right.
Speaker 1 (01:04:03):
To signify.
We were there to check it offthe list, and what would you get
?
Five, 10, 20.
Speaker 3 (01:04:09):
But now you got like
I started doing it and I'm like,
fuck, I wish I would have justdone the pencils man.
Like pencils are free, pencilsare easy to display, and I wish
I did that.
Pencils are easy to display and, uh, I wish I did that.
So now I gotta come up with afucking epoxy coffee table or
some shit, you know, just tocement them in my legacy you
need to figure out a way whereyou can display your balls on
the wall.
Joe, exactly, yeah so everybodywell a lot of them are displayed
(01:04:34):
right there, everybody canenjoy your balls yeah, so you
can see most of them right there, right, but there's a box right
here with about 40 more, andit's like I never even imagined
I would play more than 60 golfcourses in my life, you know,
and that's what's so cool aboutthe game like send them to coach
(01:04:55):
kane.
He'll make bottle openers foryou see, but then you got to
store 120 ballpark.
Uh, bottle bottle openers.
You know like I want to hangthem on the wall I want to be
able to trust somebody to cutthem in half and create like an
epoxy golf table, but like Idon't know, we gotta trust
(01:05:16):
somebody.
We could do that, that's easy.
I got a bandsaw.
Speaker 2 (01:05:19):
I got a bandsaw at
work, just slide them right
through, yeah, but but you gotta, you gotta cut them perfectly,
perfectly I will be 90 degrees Iwill sanding this for and I
will.
It'd be's so many golf balls.
Speaker 3 (01:05:34):
Tradition, Golf says
Squire Creek and Chasing
Daylight this fall.
Can you make it happen?
Speaker 1 (01:05:42):
Can you make that?
Speaker 4 (01:05:43):
happen, he can.
Speaker 1 (01:05:45):
Say less.
Speaker 4 (01:05:46):
I think so yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:05:48):
Yeah, if there's.
Direct flights.
Speaker 3 (01:05:51):
I definitely can.
A little two-dayer.
I could do a two-dayer probably.
I got to go to Maryland in liketwo weeks I got to go to New
York in a couple weeks.
Also Matt Tradition, MattBurning Tree.
Let me know, Text me, I'll beright there.
One of the greatest logos inthe world.
(01:06:13):
Burning Tree logo is so fire.
He just wants to play it so hecan wear a shirt.
Exactly, I have a shirt.
I need to figure it out.
I need to figure out how to dothat so I can wear it.
I don't wear logos If I haven'tplayed it.
All the stuff I've bought fromtradition golfer, like sitting
right here just waiting to playit I'm just waiting to play the
(01:06:33):
golf course I can wear it.
Speaker 1 (01:06:36):
I know.
Speaker 3 (01:06:38):
I know it is.
That's.
That's a I know, I know.
Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
Here.
Let's do this.
Let's draw the the winner forthis.
Let me bring that up, Pull itup over here, so I can do it
separately.
Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
Yeah, we do, we need

We should go to dallas and govisit eric and then we can all
go get fit at artisan for wedgesthat sounds like a great idea.
Speaker 1 (01:07:01):

Maybe all right, 15 entries inthe drawing, here we go oh, it's
going, it's going, it's gonnabe it's gonna be, it's gonna be

Speaker 1 (01:11:46):
I was talking with
Roars about this earlier.
I think there's more to justcounterbalancing than having a
long grip on a putter and uh-oh,I just got a text message from
Boyd to just counterbalancingthan having a long grip on a
putter.
Uh-oh, I just got a textmessage from Boyd, uh-oh, oh,
okay, never mind, unrelated.

And I've been messing
with it on the jailbird, and
it's a trip.
It's a trip.
I'll have it Sunday at Coyote.
You'll be able to tell Dan,you'll see what I'm talking
about.
It's very interesting, to saythe least.
Speaker 2 (01:12:31):
I might have a
different putter in the bag for
Coyote too.
I'm not going away from mygamer.
My gamer is going putter in thebag for Coyote too.
Ooh, ooh.
Speaker 1 (01:12:36):
I'm not going away.
Speaker 2 (01:12:37):
I'm not going away
from my gamer.
My gamer's going to be in mybag for every tournament.
But I've got you know a fewputter purchases from whatnot,
so I've got some to choose.
Speaker 3 (01:12:48):
I know what you mean.
That's what's so funny aboutwhatnot.
Like I like to try the clubsout first, so like I've had 20
clubs in my bag at one pointjust to try things out on the
course.
I had two putters this weekend.
I did not use the other one.
Thankfully there is no rulesofficial out there.
Hey, you got.
Speaker 1 (01:13:09):
I started needing to
do bag checks.
What the fuck.
Speaker 3 (01:13:11):
Joe, that's what I'm
saying.
I didn't use it.
Speaker 2 (01:13:14):
I didn't use it.
That's what I'm saying.
Dq.
Speaker 3 (01:13:16):
Send me the money
back.
I didn't use it, but it's likethat's what's cool, it doesn't
matter, I didn't use it at allit was just in my bag.
Speaker 2 (01:13:26):
I shot 76, Matty.
It didn't play very well.
Speaker 3 (01:13:28):
Coyote, though I try
and use it on the green, how am
I going to take my other putterback?
Speaker 1 (01:13:49):
If I didn?
And I try and use it on thegreen like how am I going to?
Speaker 3 (01:13:53):
take my other putter
is 24 inches guys.
It is not, he's a midgie.
It is not 34.
Every time he hands me a clubhe's like hey, try this out, see
what you think I'm like.
This feels like it's aToothpick.
Speaker 4 (01:14:10):
No thanks, frodo.
Speaker 1 (01:14:13):
Frodo, so short, it's
only a half inch shorter, I'm
like a half inch makes a bigdifference, y'all.
Speaker 3 (01:14:17):
No thanks, frodo.
Frodo, that's so short and he'slike it's only a half inch
