The night starts with a new vertical stream and a salute to Veterans Day, then we dive straight into golf that spans continents. Trey just spent three weeks in the Philippines and brought back stories you won’t hear on resort brochures: mountain golf in Bagiuo under a passing typhoon, humid greens that refuse to speed up, and a caddie culture where service comes first—your own cart, your own caddie, and sometimes an extra umbrella caddie for good measure. We talk about how to set expectations abroad, why communicating your caddie style matters, and how slow play can drain the value of any round if nobody enforces pace.

Back in Vegas, the nostalgia hits at Las Vegas Country Club while we gear up for the VGN finals at Revere. We trade views vs. vibes, share practice rounds and weather intel, and set goals for two days that will decide bragging rights through winter. Along the way, we unpack the Internet Invitational: underrated talent, wild bets, and the way pressure turns putting brutal. It’s a look at creator golf that respects real skill and still asks smart questions about formats, stakes, and amateur status.

We also unveil our partnership with Gresh Golf Academy, a serious training facility built for improvement, not entertainment. Think Foresight-powered bays, private studios, a legit indoor putting green, chipping space, and a real-sand bunker—plus coaching, junior development, and mobility work. If you’re chasing tighter dispersion and better speed through the cold months, this is where the grind gets measurable.

Hit play for a tour through global golf culture, a local league finale with stakes, and a new home base for year-round practice. Subscribe, drop us a review, and tell a friend where you want to play next—or whether you ride with caddies or go solo on reads.

SPEAKER_00 (05:07):
So, how you welcome to the show.
Welcome to the show.
So, let's see, what do you wantto do?
We do we want to get into Treyright away, or anything else you
guys want to talk about?
You know, you know what?
Invitational is big buzz.

SPEAKER_03 (05:25):
I know Trey, you've been watching uh a little bit
here and there, not as much asyou guys, but just a little bit.

SPEAKER_00 (05:30):
Well, I don't think Jeremy's watched but 10 minutes
of it, right?

SPEAKER_03 (05:33):
Yeah, I mean I've watched, yeah.
Like Julian had it on the otherday when I went to his house,
and that's like all I watched.

SPEAKER_05 (05:40):
But I watched the new episode today, so like I'm
I'm I'm I know what's going on.

SPEAKER_03 (05:46):
You know, I from the outside looking in just of what
I see on like Instagram, TikTok,and you know, whatever Julian
mentions to me.
Um I feel like may and maybethis is just me, but I feel like
people are under have and areunderestimating Brad Dolkey.

SPEAKER_00 (06:09):
Dude has been balling.

SPEAKER_03 (06:11):
I know, I know he's been playing really well from
what I've seen, but like, dopeople forget that he played in
the Masters?

SPEAKER_00 (06:18):
Yeah, yeah, like I mean, is that spoiled it for
Kevin last week?
So thank you.

SPEAKER_03 (06:22):
You know, is that like not like are we not are
people do people I guess peopledon't know that.
I mean, if newer newer-ishgolfers that are turning into to
that, you know, one, two,three-year-old golfers, but um
man, like two he played atOklahoma, dude is a baller.
Like, he just he he just burnedout, you know, from the pro game

(06:42):
for a few years, then got pickedup by good, good, and you know,
and now we're here.

SPEAKER_00 (06:47):
So um, I mean well, Cliff had a great comment on he
post.
I agree, I agree.
Yeah, he's like, of all thestuff that's going on at the
internet invitational, I want toplay cliff breakers or whatever
it's called.
Cliffhangers, come on, eachother.
I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Uh so and dude, that even eventhough it has uh turf t-boxes,

(07:10):
it still looks so much fun toplay.

SPEAKER_05 (07:13):
Oh, yeah.
I will say that that one thatone t-box where the waterfall is
in front of you looks so good.
But then to see them allstanding behind a tune, like I
was like, damn, that would be somuch fun with all like the golf
homies.

SPEAKER_03 (07:27):
Like, oh like we did it, uh like we did at Tory.
Yeah, exactly.
Exactly.
Yeah, that was that that was alot of fun.

SPEAKER_00 (07:35):
Yeah, so it's it was a good episode.
Uh the there was a lot of I Imean, I don't know if it's the
pressure or a lot of the peoplejust aren't you know great
golfers, but yeah, the puttingthe putting was atrocious.

SPEAKER_05 (07:54):
The putting those putts were breaking, like
snapping.

SPEAKER_00 (07:56):
Oh, yeah, and the greens were fast, and they were
sustained, but I mean, evensince the first episode, like
Melosi, I'm stunned at hisputting.
He is I thought he was a muchbetter putter than that, but I
know I'm not a big I meanYouTube golfer.
I'm turning into one, I guess,because I'm watching it.

SPEAKER_05 (08:14):
But yeah, yeah.
I I I mean, I think it goes backto our first uh podcast when we
talked about this.
I think they did a fantastic jobputting this whole thing
together, and the the formatshave been fantastic, the way
they all played together and infour groups or four teams of
threes, and it was alternateshot.
And I think they did a fantasticjob laying this entire thing

(08:36):
together and just eliminatingpeople by team, and you know,
and then you and then you'renext you you're going against
half of your ex team, and Ithink it's been I think it's
been really good so far.

SPEAKER_00 (08:48):
All right, Joe, you're a Vegas guy.
Are you are you are you takingany of these bets that Portnoy's
throwing out there?
Are you taking going riskingmoving on to the next day for
$250,000?

SPEAKER_05 (09:00):
No, no, no.
I can't I I mean I mean it a badbet.
Bad bet.
You know, there's there'sadvantages to bets, and if you
can find where the advantage is,the advantage is is not taking
the bet.
So you gotta be you gotta be askilled player, yeah,
absolutely.

SPEAKER_00 (09:17):
I would have been one a 90-yard shot, yeah.

SPEAKER_05 (09:23):
But you could be for 250 grand, or 250 grand.
What if you miss the grand youleave?
Yeah, on the 19th hole ofPayne's Valley, right?
Right, right.
So they gave the top two teams, right, that advanced to the
finals for one million dollars.
They'll play against the othertwo teams and then uh play it

(09:44):
outright with the name.
Best no.
So four teams, you gotta watchit so hard.

SPEAKER_03 (09:51):
Yeah, I'll I'll I'm gonna tune in now.
Like, I'm curious now.

SPEAKER_05 (09:53):
But uh if they would have walked away with like a
guaranteed like 50 or 100 grand,I might have taken that, right?
You know what I mean?
But it was a bad bet because ifthey lost, they'd walk away with
nothing, nothing, but that'sgambling.
That's gambling, yeah.

SPEAKER_03 (10:10):
That's the gamble there.

SPEAKER_00 (10:12):
So I mean you go put you know$500 on black and you
lose, they don't go, oh well, here's 10 grand for risking
money.

SPEAKER_05 (10:20):
No, they I I will say if you watched the what was
it, the third episode whereBubby Bubbles, if you will, said
no, I might have taken that betbecause you still have you can
win 250 grand, and you stillhave if you lose, you still have
a chance to make it to thefinals.
But that's a that's a better betthan the bet that was placed on

(10:44):
the last show uh episode.

SPEAKER_03 (10:47):
So my question is, and maybe I'm thinking way too
practical about this, but myquestion is is as a guy that
used to play for paychecks, youknow, how does this not like how
would how would this not countas like relieving amateur status

(11:08):
relieving your amateur status towin money playing golf?
Yeah, true.

SPEAKER_00 (11:11):
Some people were talking about that, and I think
because of the way the event isset up and I don't know the
skins thing.
There's loopholes, bro.

SPEAKER_03 (11:22):
I'm sure I mean there's there's loopholes, I
imagine.
I like I didn't and I'm nottrying to big this have this big
debate about it, but like Isaid, I'm just thinking from the
golfers side of things, uh youknow, somebody that you know
tried to do that and failedmiserably.
Um you know, I collected somechecks playing golf, and you you

(11:43):
know, you sign a little taxwaiver, and you know, that's
that's that.
I mean, so I that's is it aquick answer uh from uh that
question?
No, but there I would just youknow if there is a short answer
for that without getting in thetechnicalities about it, you
know.

SPEAKER_05 (11:59):
I I would assume I mean I mean Dave Portnoy
potentially uh throws them onbarstool payroll and it's a
paycheck for them to be in oneof their episodes, potentially,
you know, like that's that's agood way to look at it.

SPEAKER_04 (12:11):
Yeah, yeah, I think that's what they're doing.
It's like a it's uh it'll turninto like an appearance fee
because they're content creatorsand it'll exactly that's
probably about it becausethey're not really bound by USGA
rules or anything like that.

SPEAKER_03 (12:23):
That is true.
I mean, that that's like I said,it's it's a question that I had
and kind of always have had, really.
But I'm sure there's a way towork around that, as I'm sure
there is, but you know it wasfake BS.

SPEAKER_05 (12:38):
Yeah, I mean, who knows?
That's the thing, you never knowwhat's happening behind the
scenes.
I mean, you know, who knows?

SPEAKER_00 (12:46):
Who knows?
Yeah, it's right.
The only team that may havetaken it was Brad's team because
they were on fire at that point.
They they were, I mean, the fiveof them downs was ridiculous.

SPEAKER_05 (12:55):
Oh, yeah, nasty.
But some of those some of thoseholes at cliffhangers look
absolutely insane.
Some of those greens lookdiabolical.
I will admit after I watched it,I was like, I logged on the Big
Cedar uh website and was likehow how do we go?
I'm sure they're gonna befucking stacked with tea times

(13:16):
next summer.
Oh, yeah, it is it's gonna behard.
It's a huge it was it's been ahuge commercial for Big Cedar,
Duncan, you know.
All of them, good for them.
I think it's pretty pricey tostay there.
I mean, yeah, it is.

SPEAKER_03 (13:31):
I mean, Dana, let's let's just be honest with these
guys, like they need to come toMichigan with us.
Like, let's stop.
Oh, I know that.
Yeah, I know.
Come on, who are you telling?
Yeah, because I just remembertonight we were right there next
to that par three, and I didn'tI didn't even know, you know, I
was like, man, we that wouldhave been sweet, but anyway,
yeah, I digress.

(13:52):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (13:53):
Do you have to venture venture that way from
Nebraska?
We could.
Uh let's see, it was a coolentertainment and characters of
entertainment golf, but itreally it wasn't a real tourney.
No, not a real tourney.
It was made for made forYouTube.
It's yeah, it's there to youknow, clearly the the way the

(14:17):
format was, some of the bestplayers did not make it through.
I mean, Grand Horvat, uh WesleyBryant, uh, Roger Steele, uh,
you know, some of the bestgolfers that were there that
played really well.
Well, not all of them well.

SPEAKER_05 (14:31):
Well, that's what I think was so great about the
entire thing, how they laid itout.
Like, you know, you pick yourteams.
Like, there's two captains, everybody voted for the
captains.
They had a draft.
It was it was a snake draft, which is uh uh I don't know,
we'll see.
But uh, I think I think itplayed out very well.
And uh, if you played itstrategically, obviously the the

(14:53):
the one guy that came out ofthis super on top.
Well, a couple people, but Chaz100.
Chaz is the man, everybody lovesChaz now.
Um, Brad, uh, his positivity andoptimism of the game has been
fantastic, and just you know,we're gonna get the next shot.
Don't worry about it.
Forget the last shot, forget it,forget it.

SPEAKER_00 (15:14):
He I think Paige is really upped her status as well
because she's kind of gone offthe radar as far as a golfer
celebrity.
You know, she gets a lot of Idon't know.
I it it bugs me with her, withher, hey, don't look at my tits,
all right.

SPEAKER_01 (15:33):
Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (15:34):
Um, yeah, but with this, I mean, she played some
good golf and she kind of tookcharge and and showed up, showed
up.

SPEAKER_05 (15:43):
So also Peter, Peter Finch, obviously a fucking
absolute stick.
I mean, you know, didn't he makethe cut didn't he make the cut
in Europe in the challengeevent?
Yeah, it sounds familiar, buthe's an outplay, and you see
every shot, you see every shot.
Yeah, yeah, and melosi, melosi, obviously, uh absolute vibe.

(16:03):
Like, I would play with melosiall day, you know.

SPEAKER_00 (16:06):
Like, yeah, just you can tell you're gonna have a fun
time, exactly.

SPEAKER_05 (16:10):
But Chaz Chaz is the biggest winner of this entire
thing, yeah.
Yeah, shout out Chaz, Chazy.

SPEAKER_00 (16:17):
Speaking, speaking of YouTube golf celebrities, uh
Roger Steele.
You tell him, Joe.
We tell him.

SPEAKER_05 (16:26):
Uh did we get it?
I don't even know.

SPEAKER_00 (16:30):
Coming on the show?
No.

SPEAKER_05 (16:32):
We might get there.
We might get there.

SPEAKER_00 (16:34):
Baby steps, baby steps.
But uh the Las Vegas Golf Hallof Fame was this weekend.
Uh I was at the I was at the uhuh induction ceremony.
Uh they had it at Hyper X Arenaat Luxor, which is a really sick
venue.
Cool.
Uh, never been in there before.
Uh but they had some auctions, and one of the auctions was a

(16:57):
round of golf with uh Las VegasGolf Hall of Famer Craig Barlow
and Las Vegas Country Clubmember Roger Steele out at Las
Vegas Country Club.
Very close.

SPEAKER_03 (17:11):
So uh who's going to play in that?

SPEAKER_00 (17:14):
It's me and Joe.
Joe and I are going.
Nice.
So uh Saints fan.
Yeah, Saints.
Oh, hey, so we have we stillhave to figure out it's uh a it
said a date that will be agreedupon, so we have to wait for
that.
But hopefully after we hang outwith Roger and play some golf

(17:34):
with him at LVCC, we can get himon the show and talk some golf.

SPEAKER_03 (17:38):
So very cool.
I I it's totally doable, Ithink.
I mean, yeah, I'm pretty sure heseems like the kind of dude
after you spend four hours withhim on a golf course, would
probably say, Hey, like, yeah, let's try to all I gotta say is
like you know, you know, my boywho started hitting greens with
me, yeah, used to film yourvideos.

SPEAKER_05 (17:57):
Like, uh on the podcast, he'll probably be like,
Yeah, we got we got links, wegot links.

SPEAKER_04 (18:03):
You're gonna you're gonna show up decked out in trap
golf.

SPEAKER_00 (18:07):
Uh no, don't do that.

SPEAKER_04 (18:08):
Don't do that.

SPEAKER_00 (18:09):
I've got all my callaway stuff, so I'm hoping
that's I'm hoping that's Rogerbeef with trap golf, guys.

SPEAKER_05 (18:16):
You can't do that then.
See, that's that's why Mattneeds me.
That's why Matt needs me.

SPEAKER_00 (18:23):
Yeah, yeah.
Because I I'd be like, hi Roger.
Go talk to Joe.

SPEAKER_05 (18:30):
You ever heard of tripod quest?

SPEAKER_00 (18:34):
All right, so Joe, you had you had your little
banger hat, right?
How about how about that bangerright there?

SPEAKER_05 (18:40):
Yeah, ooh, that's a yo G O G Hilton with the Hilton.

SPEAKER_00 (18:44):
Yeah, you know what that is, Trey?
It's before my time.
That's that's Las VegasNational.
Oh, nice.
Yeah, I'm excited to play thereon Thursday.
And and that that's FreddieCouple's autograph.
Hey, look at that.

SPEAKER_04 (18:58):
Yeah, is that before Jeffrey hit over the corner?

SPEAKER_00 (19:02):
This was before.
This was after practice.

SPEAKER_04 (19:04):
Wow.

SPEAKER_03 (19:05):
Yeah.
So uh, but look at look at howthe embroidery Hilton Country
Club with a capital R.

SPEAKER_00 (19:11):
Yeah, look at the embroidery on that.
It's so bad.

SPEAKER_03 (19:16):
Fucking.
So it looks like the 90s.

SPEAKER_00 (19:18):
It's terrible, terrible.
Yeah, yeah.
Isn't that hilarious?

SPEAKER_05 (19:25):
So hey, hey, speaking of the Las Vegas
Country Club.

SPEAKER_00 (19:29):
Oh, Joe played there recently.

SPEAKER_05 (19:30):
I played there last what was it?
I don't know.
How was it?
It was fantastic.
That place is immaculate.
I want to go so bad.
I got to play with um uh JaredDeanda, TJ Hunt, and uh Dundil
Will.
Dundee Will, who I found out wasone of the originators of Carmel
Loop, which is absolutelyinsane.

(19:51):
Uh, I used to be on the websiteall the time back in the day.
It's it's absolutely fantastic.
Um, the host was great, dude.
I wrote rode with him.
Um like I always say I alwayssay this.
If I was to join a club in town,it would be Las Vegas Country
Club.
The history, yeah.
Um the the par threes arefantastic.

(20:12):
It's very flat, very walkable, but um that place is just
special, man.
Very cool, very, very specialplace.

SPEAKER_00 (20:19):
Dude, look at this.
Oh, whoops, sorry, here we go.
I have two crystal trophies onmy bookshelf from LV
Invitational.
My stepdad played it.

SPEAKER_05 (20:27):
Oh, so sick, dude.
I love it.
Nice amazing.

SPEAKER_00 (20:34):
So Joe, Joe, did you do your 20 before the round?

SPEAKER_05 (20:38):
Uh no, no, no, I did not.
I did not.
Um, so Will, um, he was the sowe found out that Will booked it
at the same time I booked it,and and Will was just like, I'm
just gonna lock my credit card.
So uh we did not get charged.
Um, but it was it was it wasawesome, man.
A hell of a day at Las Vegas uhcountry club.

(21:00):
If you can get out there, highlyrecommend it.
It is so pure.
It's those greens were quick,fantastic.
Green, like that is uh that'sthe ultimate jam in town for me
when it comes to privatecourses.
It's just filled with nostalgia,history.

SPEAKER_00 (21:17):
I hadn't been in there in a while either, have
you?

SPEAKER_05 (21:18):
So you hadn't seen it five years, five years
probably or so.

SPEAKER_00 (21:22):
You hadn't seen all the changes to the clubhouse and
and everything.

SPEAKER_05 (21:25):
So four branded bills started making hats,
obviously.
There was a lot of shit I wantedto try.

SPEAKER_00 (21:36):
They made a major improvement to that area, so
fantastic.

SPEAKER_03 (21:42):
Look forward to playing there one day.

SPEAKER_00 (21:44):
You haven't played there yet, Trey?

SPEAKER_03 (21:46):
No, I have not.

SPEAKER_00 (21:47):
Oh my goodness you and Jeremy haven't.

SPEAKER_05 (21:49):
Oh man, we have to get you out.
Hey, we know a guy, we know aguy now.

SPEAKER_03 (21:53):
We know a guy now, so we gotta hold him, we gotta
hold him to it, man.

SPEAKER_05 (21:57):
We actually know a guy now, so yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (21:59):
This isn't like we know of somebody.
We know a guy.

SPEAKER_05 (22:02):
We know somebody that just joined, that's our guy
that we know a guy that's a guythat we actually know.

SPEAKER_00 (22:08):
So got it, and he's in the VGN, so that doesn't even
better, even better.
All right, Trey.
Yes, what possessed you to leaveAmerica for three weeks?

SPEAKER_03 (22:23):
Um it was better.

SPEAKER_05 (22:28):
Yeah, no, it was.

SPEAKER_03 (22:31):
I mean, it was I had it all, man.
And so it was kind of surroundedbehind my grandmother's birthday
and my grandfather's notbirthday, it was more of just
like family unions.
It was almost like two small, two family reunions, definitely
not small, is the really thebiggest reason I'm there.

(22:52):
And and I was there, and thenobviously we went to we did some
island hopping and you know,Manila, Capital, a couple other
cities.
And uh the crazy thing is you gothat far and you only go for
like six or seven days.
Like if you're going for avacation, like Jeremy can attest
to it, is it's like you don't gofor a week, you're you're flying

(23:14):
20 plus hours to get there.
Like that's one full that'spretty much a full day.
Then you're only gonna spendfive days there and then leave.
Like doing that for you know, maybe Scotland in a year and a
half or so, or you know, 27summer.
Um, you know, I'll be there forI don't know, seven or eight
days, something like that.
You know, I'm we're gonna talkto Wood tomorrow about you know

(23:35):
figuring stuff out for that.
Um, but yeah, that was reallythe reason I I went for three
weeks.
Uh I played four rounds of golf.

SPEAKER_05 (23:42):
Yeah, it's a long time, dude.
That's a long time.

SPEAKER_03 (23:45):
It was a lot, dude.
It was a long time, andhonestly, I got I got sleep, but
the sleep I had was just so likebad quality.
And I I don't mean to sound likethat old guy about the sleep and
all that, but dude, like I Ijust I got like it wasn't it was
firm as hell, and it justanyway.
Then I got sick.
It was it wasn't, you know, I'mit's not my bed here in America

(24:07):
or even a holiday in for thatmatter, so yeah, yeah.
Um but uh you know, I I ended upI was sick like the last like 10
days I was there with just likesome chest cold and stuff.
But honestly, dude, it was thebest the best non-golf trip I've
been on.
And really to understand theFilipino culture a lot more, my
family and and all that, it wasit was so much more than just a

(24:31):
standard vacation because I Igot to learn more about the
Filipino culture, my family'sculture, and just everything
involved around that.
It was amazing.
And of course, anytime I gosomewhere new like that, I
squeeze in golf.
I can't.
I could have played more.
Was that your first time, Trey?
Was that your first time?
No, like first time since the90s, so probably almost 30 years
now.

SPEAKER_05 (24:50):
But um but do you remember your first time through
picture?
Not really, yeah.
So there you go.
It's like first time.

SPEAKER_03 (24:57):
First time, yeah.
I mean, I was seven or eightyears old.
So I when I was there, therewere a lot of my older cousins
and uh aunts and uncles, theyremember me because I was a
small kid of their, you know, the the the kid of their one of
their sisters, and yeah, that'scool, man.
You know, so they all recognizedme, and then obviously it it was
just kind of a shock to themthat I was over six feet tall

(25:19):
from this little Filipino boythat was there, you know.
And um super cool.
How was the golf?
Such a great trip.
So the so the golf is a funstory to tell.
And I uh before I dive into it,I will tell you guys that I went
there golf-wise with zeroexpectations.

(25:40):
I had looked at some courses onInstagram and stuff like that
just to kind of see what I'mdealing with.
But at the end of the day, Iknew that if I had expectations
that were moderate, I knew I Ididn't want to be disappointed.
So no expectations, so I didn'tbe disappointed.
Well, I was not disappointed.

(26:01):
So Bagia was like a 90 minute,uh two hours north of where I
was, which is about total aboutfive hours from the capital,
north up in the mountain.
Cool little mountain town.
Um, and there is uh one of theirfamous courses called Camp John
Hay.
Well, I I didn't play there.
Uh I played at an I played atanother one because it was

(26:23):
private at once and I couldn'tfigure out how to make a tea
time, and it was kind of weird,so I went somewhere else.
Um and it was good rated onGoogle, had good ratings on
Google, so I was like, allright, try it, why not?
And in the middle of a typhoon,so it was raining like the whole
time.
But I dude, I had a blast.
It was awesome.
It was like 60 degrees, littlewind.

(26:45):
And so I get there, pull up,drop my bag off, and people told
me I was gonna have a caddy, butlittle did I know that each
golfer had their own caddy.
Everyone has their own outthere, yeah.
And they have your own golfcart.
And I was like, man, this is anexperience.
And with the rain, they threw mygolf bag in a black trash bag

(27:07):
and then put it on the golfcart.
Interesting.
And it was kind of right.
I did.
I brought oh you didn't gamers.
The only thing I didn't bringwith my my Scotty Cameron.
I'm I was like, I'm not gonnause rentals, and I'm too picky
about that.
So um I ended up getting thesame uh travel bag that Dan uses

(27:27):
now, and it shit worked great.
I mean that that thing is likesolid, like much more protection
than my club glove.
Um so we play and get there.
I was like, all right, you know, hit a bucket of balls and just
enjoy my time.
Look at the pro shop, you know, kind of like how I do at every
new spot.
All this none of that.

(27:48):
It was there was no drivingrange.
It was pretty much you pay, youget a drink, right to the first
T.
Like there was a driving range, but I don't think people use
them over there.
That's for sure.
Not in the four rounds that Iplayed.
And this course was relativelyample.
There was like six groups on thecourse, but it was think of I
think of it like you guys, mostof you guys have been to

(28:08):
Washington.

SPEAKER_05 (28:09):
Um it kind of reminded me of a smaller salish
cliffs, or like a smaller, yeah, like a small you said a special
word, salish cliffs, like Iknow, it's like a smaller one,
like 6,500 yards.

SPEAKER_03 (28:26):
But you've been to Gold Mountain, yeah.
Had a little bit of the onionrings, had a little bit of gold
mountain in it, too.
You know, so it was a like Isaid, mountain course, elevation
changes, super fun.
And um, so that was the firstround.
So go back to where we'restaying.
Second round I play is at thisspot called Mimosa.

(28:47):
It's in Clark City, outside ofwhere we were staying.
And I when I mean that it's likea 12-minute drive.
This is where the golf getsinteresting.
So hang with me if you're stillaround the crowd that's watching
this.
So we pull up Mimosa, a lot ofKorean money in this area.
They're building high rises, three or four casinos.

(29:09):
It's a pretty cool little area.
Almost like uh it's theirversion of Summerlin without the
homes.
And pull up brand new clubhouse, shiny, everything's white and
clean.
Caddy's standing out out there, grab your bag, take it to behind
the the the the clubhouse, andyou walk in the clubhouse and

(29:32):
it's like 65 degrees in the proshop and nice and cold.
And uh nice pro shop, nicestuff, you know, not a lot to
buy, but it's clean.
So cool.
Grab a drink, sandwich, norange, straight to the first
tea.
Caddies driving.

(29:53):
And this is the one thing I willsay, if p places have caddies
and I I don't I haven't been toa lot of places that have
caddies.
More or less.

SPEAKER_05 (30:00):
Um the caddy golf car would be different out there
too though.

SPEAKER_03 (30:04):
Like they they were.
So the golf carts had like aramp on the back of it for the
caddy to stand with the oh shitbar as well.
So they could hold on or theycould, you know, if when I had a
caddy, they drove me around, which was cool.
Um so then pull up to the firstT, dog leg left, par five, like
580 from the tips, sweet dropgoing right back up the

(30:27):
mountain.
Group on the green with fourcaddies and four players.
Group in the group in thefairway, four caddies, four
players.
Group on the T, another group onthe T, and then me with my uncle
and my cousin, and then someother random guy.

(30:48):
And man, there is no such thingas pace of play, at least at
this golf course.
I mean, they had marshalsdriving around, but it was all
just like you know, hey, how youdoing?
Are you having a good time?
You know, just the Filipinothing of being super nice.
And but I will tell you thatgolf course was awesome.
All four of you guys would loveit.
It was it was challenging, biggreens, lots of trees, um

(31:14):
elevation change.
It was a resort course, so thegreens were slow but in good
condition.
And uh, I mean it was just humidas all hell.

SPEAKER_05 (31:24):
Yeah, I'm sure it was super fucking humid, super,
super, super humid.
But that's one thing.
Like, I mean, like peoplewatching the show, like if
you've ever had a caddy, right?
The caddies out there are sodifferent.
Like usually the poor caddy inthe United States or Ireland, I
mean, you know, double bag, butyou get your own, you get your
own body out there, which isthat insane.

SPEAKER_03 (31:44):
The nice the nice thing is the crazy here's the
he's in here here's the evencrazier part.
I played mimosa plus has twogolf courses.
I played this one I'm talkingabout now twice, and the other
one once.
The last time I played, therewas a group behind us, and each
all four golfers had twocaddies, and one of them was
just to hold the umbrella.

(32:06):
So, but you could.
I mean, if you have the money topay for it, you can they'll do
that.

SPEAKER_05 (32:10):
Do you think right?
Curious, uh, a thought.
Do you think the caddies werebetter there, like as far as
golf knowledge-wise, that thatyou've experienced elsewhere?
No, they just they were therefor convenience.

SPEAKER_03 (32:22):
Uh, they were there to make sure that you were
pretty much having a good time, yeah.
You were having your ball, andyou know, like for for myself.
The first round I played at thisplace, my uh I was playing with
my uncle, and he had his friendcaddy for me.
And this guy, you know, this isthe kind of caddy that has like
international clients when theycome in country, like he's their

(32:43):
caddy kind of person.
Yeah, and I mean he would he didit all.
He was running back and forth, grabbing clubs, raking bunkers,
holding my umbrella for me.
You know, do you want anythingto drink?
Um, because you don't pay foranything when you get there, you
pay for your golf, but then whenyou get all you know how here

(33:03):
you're you buy your concessionswhen you want them, like there
you just stack them all up andthen you pay for everything at
the end of the round, which isyeah, it's like Japan kind of
should have it be done here, butum, you know, then I had two I
had a young lady, she was like24 the next time the next two
times I played.
You know, she was very shy, didn't know, didn't do yardages.

(33:25):
They would just kind of keep myrangefinder in their pocket, and
I would just do rangefinderevery time.

SPEAKER_05 (33:30):
So also quick second, anybody in the chat, if
you've ever had a caddy uh ornot, put yes or no.
If you ever had a caddy.

SPEAKER_03 (33:38):
But it was just different, like obviously the
caddies in America, like Bandon,Pinehurst, places like that,
they'll they're not gonna dothat shit.
But at the same time, like atBandon, I paid$150 for the
caddy.
And here with a tip, probablyyeah, not much, uh quarter of

(34:02):
it.

SPEAKER_05 (34:03):
$50,$60, something like that.

SPEAKER_00 (34:06):
Wow, I'm surprised how many people haven't had a
caddy.

SPEAKER_05 (34:09):
You know, I mean, me personally, I don't I'm not a
huge fan of caddies, but that'sthat was what I was gonna say.

SPEAKER_03 (34:14):
It's it it's it takes a certain golfer, we'll
call it.
I mean, I don't mind having acaddy because it takes it takes
whatever, not pressure, it takeswhatever added.

SPEAKER_05 (34:27):
Takes whatever I think that's you know weird is
like even the guys on tour, likethey have a caddy and they've
used them for years, and there'slike a gelling that's needed.
Right.
Do you want to play great golf?
Like, for me, like I don't careabout my score, like I'm gonna I
want to experience it and figureit out on my own, and like I
want to delve into it and andyou know, right, discover the

(34:50):
things that I'm facing on myown.
And I think that it's like oneof those things.
If you have a caddy, it's likekind of the one thing this one's
got a backstop.
I was like, damn, I wanted tosee that when I walked up to the
green, you know, but that's me.

SPEAKER_03 (35:04):
Right.
No, that makes a lot of sense.
And I I think when it comes tothat at Pinehurst, and you know,
maybe not Bandon.

SPEAKER_05 (35:13):
Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03 (35:13):
When I had a when I had uh I played number two in
2018, had a caddy, and he was anolder guy, and I will say I like
the older caddies that have beenthere for 20 or 30 years because
they have stories, and a lot oftimes those stories are
light-hearted and funny, so itjust kind of keeps everything
light and relaxed during theround.
Absolutely, yes.
And those kind of caddies Ilike.

(35:35):
Now, when I was at when we wereat Bandon, and I I use I had a
kid caddy for me twice, but hewas a good kid.
He was you know, he knew thegolf course and was a golfer and
just had a good attitude, sothat was a pretty good one as
well.
But you know, it all depends onon the mood, you know.
I use the caddy and bandicus.
Well, I almost broke my bag.

SPEAKER_05 (35:53):
Yeah, you need somebody to carry the bag, yeah.
I need someone to carry my bag.
Um yeah, but I think it alldepends on what you want out of
it, and like a good caddy, agood caddy will figure that out,
right?
Like for me, like if my caddycan tell me all the stories
about the history of the courseand who built it and the

(36:14):
architecture and like thingslike that, like that for me
would be like a dope ass caddy.
If he only carries my bag, yeah, exactly.
And if if he only carries mybag, then I'm like shitty caddy.
But you know, it's like iteverybody wants something
different out of a caddy, and uhfor sure.
It's super interesting.
Like, I want to hear I want tohear the behind the scenes
stories personally, right?

SPEAKER_03 (36:36):
Right, and the one thing too is it all you know
like you said, it depends on thesituation.
Like I've had caddies where likeat US Open qualifiers, USAM
qualifiers, things like that, and you know, that list of
caddies is is short uh of who Iwould have doing that, and it
and so if I'm doing using acaddy for something like that,

(36:59):
that's something specific thatI'm looking for out of a caddy.
Now, yeah, caddies at resortsand resorts, you know,
destinations and things, it'svery different.
And I think it may, you know, may a lot of these places have
caddy masters, so I imagine thecaddy master says something
along the lines of like, like, hey, like these people are
spending a lot of money here, like keep things lighthearted

(37:21):
and all this kind of shit.
Like, I know at Pinehurst theyhad that shit down to a science.
I mean, the caddy was tellingme, like, look, we don't put
head covers on clubs because itadds an extra like 19 seconds
per head cover, take it on, takeit off, and all that.
So, you know, they're down to asystem, but you're right, it's
completely situational based onthe golfer on what you're
looking for.

(37:42):
But I will say, in thePhilippines, if you've never
experienced something like thator any other country in Asia, it
is it is awesome, like they andbut don't expect sweet golf
knowledge and all that, justbring your rangefinder, shoot
it, and go.
But yeah, you know, the thelittle things that you know
making sure clubs are clean, ball is clean, you know, the
shade if you want to use anumbrella and and whatever, you

(38:05):
know, it's it was a lot of fun.
But yeah, the course Jordy, whatare you talking about?

SPEAKER_00 (38:09):
What's the point there?

SPEAKER_05 (38:10):
He was talking probably talking about the
internet invitational, probably.
Oh, or he's going out, or he'sgoing out to uh the Philippines
to catch some strange catch somestrains or something.
I don't know.
Who knows?

SPEAKER_03 (38:23):
But the overall experience, I will say, when it
comes to the as you guys know,I'm snobby-ish on my golf
courses.
Snobby.
Um but I went in with noexpectations, and and the three
golf courses I play were allfantastic in their own way.
Sure, I could bitch and moanabout the green speed and all
that, but you know, whatever.

(38:46):
Outside of that, it was just itwas so do you think they make a
cat because they want to dothat?
Uh more or less, yes.
Probably probably, yeah.
Um, and bring in more money aswell.
Um but I would say overallexperience, my first time in the
Philippines, awesome.
I also heard there were othercourses in the area I should

(39:08):
have played instead of the theones I did.
So uh I'm looking forward to togoing back.
We're plans at the end of 2020.
Um, and uh, you know, now thatI've been there as an adult, now
I know what I can experiencewhat to expect next time
golf-wise and everything else.

SPEAKER_00 (39:26):
So he said no caddies giving you reads telling
you the spoiler.
Um, but that's about to figurethose reads out by yourself.
I see, I see.

SPEAKER_03 (39:35):
Hey, I mean that's that's part of becoming a better
golfer is great reading greens.

SPEAKER_05 (39:39):
Um, yeah, well hundred percent.
And I mean, uh, you know, if ifyou take a caddy and uh you
gotta that's what I was talkingabout, gelling, like they don't
know your speed, they don't knowhow you like to drip it in the
hole, you bang it in the hole, whatever, and it's like that's
one of those things, you know.

SPEAKER_03 (39:55):
And I think too, you if you're able, like I remember
when I the first time I had acaddy, and I was probably a
single digit handicap, I was 16or 17.
Let me miss my seven-inch butt,like a but I I told I told the
caddy, like, hey, like, let mejust kind of do this on my own,
club me, tell me some stories.

(40:16):
Like, that's if you tell a caddythat at a destination spot,
they'll cater to that ideallybecause they want a nice tip,
yeah.

SPEAKER_05 (40:25):
Yeah, of course, of course.
So I I mean it's like uh it'sthere for the vibes.
Like, I I'll give them like oneor two one or two reads.
I had a caddy if it don't work,then it don't work.

SPEAKER_00 (40:35):
I had a caddy at local knowledge, local
knowledge, local knowledge isall I had a caddy at Cascada
that I said like after his thirdbad read, I just didn't even let
him get my ball anything.
I was just lining up my puttsand putting while he looked at
us in the eyes, it's just likeI'm done with you.

SPEAKER_03 (40:52):
Yeah, and yeah, to finish off to finish off with
golf in the Philippines, I I nowknow that that October to March
time frame in the area that Istayed in, there's a lot of
Koreans that come in that areato golf, gamble, and all that
kind of stuff.
Big Koreans.
But let's just say, like, man,it pace of play is not high on

(41:17):
their priority list.
Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (41:20):
So play fast, and and yeah, you know, I I I see it
all over town here too.
It's the the pace of play doesjust it doesn't get enforced as
much as it should.

SPEAKER_03 (41:36):
Do you think that's because we live in Las Vegas?

SPEAKER_00 (41:39):
No, it's because I think I think people are pissed
to to they don't want to havethe people get upset at them.
It's just avoiding comments.
Hey, yeah, these people havepaid$200, don't upset them.
You know, but it's like you'reyou're bringing down the value
of the round for everybody elseby your slow play.

(42:00):
So I'm sorry.
Step it up, step it up.
Like I don't know if you heardlast week, Trey.
We were at Legacy and a group.
Yeah, you told me you told methat and they made a move up,
and it was great.

SPEAKER_03 (42:12):
Yeah, yeah.
I think you're absolutely righton that, and I just think there
has to be I don't know ifpolite's the right word, but
there just has to be some I justthink people need to be
self-aware.

SPEAKER_05 (42:29):
Yeah, we've lost we've lost self-awareness in in
all of our world, okay.
Like, just be fuckingself-aware.
That's all it comes out.

SPEAKER_03 (42:39):
It's all it's it's common sense.
You just make sure you keep upwith the group in front of you.
And I mean, come on, if you ifyou lost two balls on the hole,
just pick up and go to the nexthole.
Who cares?

SPEAKER_05 (42:49):
Exactly.
Yeah, I mean on whatnot anyway, probably.

SPEAKER_00 (42:53):
So wow, that might be a record.

SPEAKER_05 (43:00):
Hey, shout out shout out, shout out all the whatnot
homies in the chat.

SPEAKER_00 (43:03):
We're 43 minutes in, and I think that's the first
time Joe's mentioned whatnot.
That is a record.

SPEAKER_05 (43:09):
I was holding back.
Honored, honored.

SPEAKER_03 (43:12):
Yeah, it's uh this right here.
Yeah, I've got some cousins thatlive in Japan, so I want to go
to Japan at some point, playgolf there, and heard some
amazing things about golf inJapan.

SPEAKER_00 (43:25):
So oh, it's it's China and Japan, it's an all-day
thing.

SPEAKER_03 (43:28):
Yeah, I want to go to that nine-story golf store in
Japan.

SPEAKER_00 (43:32):
Yeah, where every floor is a different get some of
those bokies.
What uh what do you do now?
Arnold Palmer, yeah.
Oh, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05 (43:44):
Oh, nice Japanese Arnold Palmer putting disc bag.

SPEAKER_03 (43:48):
Is that a whatnot?
Is that a whatnot purchase?

SPEAKER_05 (43:51):
That's from Coach Porch, Coach Porch legend.
Shout out, Coach Porch.
Look at that.
I got a Shrix on one down there,it'll be on a show one day.

SPEAKER_03 (44:02):
Sell any of my shirts in that uh apparel show.

SPEAKER_05 (44:05):
No, no, no.
I no, no, no, not yet.
That was uh that was kind ofthat was hard.
That was a test.
That was a test.

SPEAKER_03 (44:12):
Fair enough.
Yeah, I mean, so that's that'sthat was my experience golfing
in the Philippines.
I recommend everybody go overthere, and it's much easier to
have a guide if you don't speakthe gallop.

SPEAKER_05 (44:22):
So also, not just Philippines, go get out there
and go experience golf in otherplaces that you are not from.
Yeah, go to the trip, play golfother places.
Yeah, that's the best.

SPEAKER_00 (44:34):
So check this out.
So, this you're gonna start, you're gonna see a little bit
about this on my 1440 page.
Uh, this is from Awesome Maps.
They sent me this.
They they do all kinds ofdifferent things, but uh, they
do golf towels and they do otherthings.
But this is a a world map of allthe golf courses in the world,

(44:54):
and I didn't realize how bigthis thing is.
I'm gonna back it up a littlebit because it's fucking of all
the what?
Of all the golf courses in theworld, not all of them, but like
all the predominant golf coursesaround the world.

SPEAKER_03 (45:04):
Sweet.
Gotta give that to the cliff sothey can mark it off.
Yeah, all right.
Yeah, it's Beth Page on there.

SPEAKER_05 (45:10):
Yeah, Beth Page better be on there.
I've played there.

SPEAKER_03 (45:13):
What's the snake?
I want to know where that snakeis.
Or the dragon.

unknown (45:18):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (45:19):
But it's I'll I'll do a detailed uh post about it
so you can see all the stuff.
But I mean it's it's prettycrazy how you know how how much
detail they they have.
Oh, wrong way.

SPEAKER_05 (45:31):
Uh-oh.
You know, they listen to Artisanin the chat.
Don't get me started.

SPEAKER_00 (45:35):
What?
Yeah, so shout outs, awesomemaps.
I'm gonna like I said, thisthing is I didn't I thought it
was gonna be like the size of aplacemat or something.
It's like full-on poster,poster.
So I gotta get this branded upon the wall.

SPEAKER_04 (45:49):
Full on wallpaper.

SPEAKER_00 (45:50):
Yeah, it's massive.
They even got Alaska on there.

SPEAKER_03 (45:57):
Up there.
Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (45:59):
So who's talking about Artisan?
What did I miss?

SPEAKER_05 (46:02):
Uh Johnny C just said he's got four vokies he
wants to trade for uh 54 bent to53, 58 artisan.
Fort Worth Tech is shout out,Fort Worth.
Uh Artisan, yeah.
Obviously, Artisan, uh Legends,the oven.

SPEAKER_00 (46:18):
Sell those shit on whatnot and just go buy him.

SPEAKER_05 (46:20):
Or you just I mean, yeah, absolutely.
It's hard to find them.
I mean, and a lot of the guysthat know shit are starting to
come, so it's not it's not uhit's not like it used to be in
the in the wild wild west, butum I want to I want to go down
to Fort Worth and just and getfit at Artisan.

(46:41):
That's what I want to do.
Like if yeah forty firstbirthday coming up in January,
if you guys feel inclined.
At uh Patreon.

SPEAKER_03 (46:51):
$360 a club plus the fitting, and it's all that's
what I want.
Uh yeah, I mean that's you know,Mike Taylor is uh he's very good
at it.

SPEAKER_05 (47:00):
And then send me down a little closer, you know,
hit me up with Don White and uh,you know, give me fit for some
irons.
That's what I want for my 31stbirth 41st birthday.
If you guys if you guys want, ifyou guys feel like national
customs, yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (47:19):
I see pricey.
We love you, but I don't know ifyou love you that much.

SPEAKER_05 (47:22):
Very pricey, very pricey.

SPEAKER_03 (47:23):
I gotta have it.
I'm gonna have to hit one ofthose 25 leg parlays for that.

SPEAKER_05 (47:27):
There we go.
There we go.
Start throwing them in.
All right, you're not gonna winif you don't put them in.

SPEAKER_00 (47:33):
Yeah, uh, I you saw a post if you follow our
Instagram page.
You saw I did it recently did apost.
Um, I tried to do a live in uhthe other day while I was at
Gretsch and finding out allthese crazy things about going
live on YouTube.
And uh it's funny, Julian and Iwere at a Rio and I did a live,

(47:55):
it was 12 minutes long, and theycut it to four minutes.
No idea why.
So I did some research.
They basically says, hey, if youhave poor quality, they deem it
not acceptable for communitystandards, and they chop it to
four minutes.
Okay, but then they let 12minutes of a pixelated video go
out at Gretsch.
So I was a little confused.
I apologize to them, said I'mgonna come back.

(48:17):
So yesterday I went down there, recorded another video.
Uh, that's on our YouTube page,it's also on Instagram.
You can check it out, uh, walkthrough the whole facility.
This place is it's astate-of-the-art facility.
It's it's not golf or tamement.
This is not atomic golf.
This is not top golf.
Um, this is not five iron golf.

(48:38):
This this is Grind City.
This is a golf facility for youto go work on your game.
Um, they have a total of 13bays.
Uh, they have nine open airbays, two private bays, a
private fitting bay, and aprivate coaching bay.
Plus, they have a huge indoorputting green, an indoor

(49:00):
chipping area, and an indoorbunker that has real sand in it.
Where is this?
Uh, right by the Silverton.
It's just one block south ofSilverton on Dean Martin.
Okay.
South side of town.
Boom town.
Yeah, boomtown.
Uh, but I I've been in there.
It's it's they have a gym, theyhave conference rooms, they have
a kitchenette.
The the two private uh studiobays are awesome.

(49:24):
They have massive curved screen,it's very immersive.
Uh, it's it's bigger, it's moreof a host, uh, an outing is so
much if you want to, but uhthey're very they're very keen
on training.
Uh and no, it's not J Bar.

SPEAKER_05 (49:40):
Far from very different, very different from J
Bar.

SPEAKER_00 (49:43):
There's this is not food, this is not entertainment.

SPEAKER_05 (49:46):
This is this is a place to go dial your shit in.
Yeah.
Work and work out.

SPEAKER_00 (49:52):
They have uh Foresight, uh, is the software
that they use.
Um, yeah, very cleany boy.
They have the Foresight Falcon, which is the overhead.
They've there's they have somuch software, it's
unbelievable.
They're gonna have a gym inthere with some physio people.
So if you want to go work onmobility, they're gonna have

(50:14):
that.
They have camps, uh, they haveall kinds of things, and they
have PGA professionals on site.
So the how much is all that?
There's a couple differentoptions.
They have uh there'smemberships.
Uh, there's also you can justrent a bay, you don't have to be
a member, uh, but you can get uha bay for an hour weekday for 45

(50:34):
bucks.
Um, private bays where you canhost up to four people, uh, an
hour is$85.

SPEAKER_05 (50:39):
Um, the short area saying that this is the first
foresight facility in town.

SPEAKER_00 (50:45):
I don't know anybody else that's using foresight like
everyone, yeah.

SPEAKER_03 (50:51):
Uh J Bar one, or they're using um track man.

SPEAKER_00 (50:56):
Yeah, a lot of places use track man or full
swing.
Yeah, so this is the first allforesight, which I'm a fan of.
Julian, I know is a fan of, sowe're happy that that's there.
And plus, with the new Foresightapp, if you have that app and
you use it, you can go in andyou know log in to the device
that you're on and keep all yourstats with you.

(51:17):
You do your bag fittings, allthat stuff.
But they've got 1800 courses, they've got the regular uh GS
Pro courses, um, but the puttinggreen is outstanding.
Uh, and they're really big onjunior golf.
Uh Tilly Gresh is the founder.
She went through the UNLV PGMprogram.
She's a PGA professional, she'sa top 50 coach, very keen with

(51:40):
the juniors and ladies' golf,uh, and they want to make it a
facility where you know they aregrowing golfers.
So it's it's it's a prettyspecial place.
So we have partnered with them, and more details will come as we
go out.
But we're gonna have a uh a codefor listeners of the show.
If they want to go check it out, you'll be able to go in, get a

(52:01):
bay at a discounted rate for thefirst time, and check it out.
So we'll get eyes and you know,uh golfers in there to check it
out.
Uh, we're also uh partneringalong with the VGN, so VGN
members are gonna have exclusiveaccess to certain discounts for
the facility.
Uh, so we're looking forward tothat.
We are planning on hosting awinter golf league there.

(52:24):
Uh, we're gonna have all thedetails about that coming out
soon.
We take a break from you knowNovember to February in the VGN,
and a lot of the guys have toldme that they'd love to still
hang out and play golf.
So uh we're working a way to youknow have some of those match
play events that we really can'thave at a golf course because
it's too hard to pay full pricefor you know a nine-hole match

(52:46):
play and someone's bounced afterfive holes.
So uh we're gonna be able to dothat, and then we're working on
trying to have a closest to thepin contest uh for a free
membership in the VGN.
So you'll be able to go in andsay, Hey, I'm here to
participate in the VGN closestto the pin contest.
Go in, hit your shot, stickaround if you want, friend to

(53:10):
bay, or you can get out ofthere.
So uh we're really trying to uhget eyes on the facility for
them.
It's brand new, it is state ofthe art.
Go watch the video.

SPEAKER_05 (53:20):
It is unlike anything else in Vegas that's
not at a private home or youknow, it honestly, it honestly
feels like a place where if youwant to work on your game,
that's where you need to go.
Not like go play play indoorgolf, it's where you go to hone
your shit.

SPEAKER_00 (53:37):
You know, we had uh a comment on Facebook where
somebody was complaining aboutthe price.
Uh, you know, it's$250 for sixhours of play, and you get
discounts um on some merch andlessons and stuff like that.
And uh he was like, you know, for a hundred dollars less, I
can go to RoboGolf and getunlimited play.
It's like, okay, you know, buttake it, take a step back and
see what this place is offering.

(53:58):
It's not all about being able togo every single day.
There's other things there tohelp you with your game.
Now, if you want to just goevery day and pound balls for an
hour, there's tons of placeslike that in town.

SPEAKER_05 (54:09):
Yeah, absolutely.

SPEAKER_00 (54:10):
Tons of places like that in town, um, to where you
can get a lot more value.
That this isn't you're notlooking for value to be able to
go in and hit balls whenever youwant.
This is the value is thefacility, the software, the
people, and what you can dowhile you're there.
So uh it's a little bitdifferent, and it's gonna take
you know, you're gonna have togo in and experience check it

(54:30):
out.

SPEAKER_05 (54:30):
So yeah, yeah.
I mean, the only facility inVegas that I know of that has
real sand bunker practice areaindoors.
So it's getting cold, guys.
It's getting cold.
It's getting cold, chilly, yeah.
And and the and the the puttygreen looks sick, so yeah.

SPEAKER_03 (54:49):
And if you win, I hope I'm I'm hope I'm there when
somebody just absolutely skullsit into the wall.
No, they they have it alreadyready.
There's nets around.

SPEAKER_00 (54:57):
They got nets and the glasses, polycarbonate, so
fair enough.
The gripmaster roo.
I hope you're ready forstickiness because that thing is
tacky tacky tacky.

SPEAKER_05 (55:10):
Who's playing that?
He's waiting on him.
He's waiting on him.
It feels like if you guysremember in the 90s when the
creepy crawler, like uh littlegummy joints, like pulled them
off, and they had the cardboardunder, and you still touch the
cardboard, and it was likethat's what those joints feel
like.
But your hands aren't leavingthose grips.

SPEAKER_00 (55:30):
So no, you don't need a glove either.
If you're using on, I mean aputter, you don't use a glove.
Well, some people do, but yeah, for the iron grips, yeah, you
don't need a you don't need aglove for that.
Yeah, all right.
So that knocks off Gretsch.
Uh let's let's get into the VGNfinals a little bit.
Uh it's coming up this weekend.

(55:50):
Uh, if you're not following theVegas Golf Network on our social
pages, Joe said it a coupleweeks ago at our Aliante event.
I will put the link to theleaderboard up.
So if anybody wants to followalong to check out, see how uh
Trey, Dan, Jeremy, Joe, myselfwe're all playing in it.
Hey, collectively, this is likethe most VGN wins we've ever had

(56:11):
on the screen.
I mean, I mean, yeah, there's alot of VGN wins right here.
I mean, one person has way morethan anybody else, but but hey,
so look, here's here's what uhDan and Trey and Jeremy are
fighting for right here.
This is the trophy, the playerof the year award.

(56:35):
Uh, and that's that is engravedin there.
Thank you, Joel, from AtomicGolf.
These are fantastic, and it'sJoel's the man.

SPEAKER_05 (56:45):
Yeah, Joel is the man.
Go go check out atomic golf.
Go check out atomic golf onInstagram.

SPEAKER_00 (56:51):

Uh, come come hang out.
You can check the leaderboard, like Matt said.
Uh monthly tournaments.

And also, sign up for if you'rewatching live, you need to throw
the thumbs up, subscribe, do allthat shit.

SPEAKER_00 (57:13):
You know how we do is it likes are free, they don't
cost a thing.

SPEAKER_03 (57:17):
Yeah, like I texted you the other day, Matt, you
know, comparing prices toanother competitive leading an
entity that holds golftournaments.
Um, I was you know, I wasshocked.
I was like I said, I wasthinking about playing and to
see how you know I just want tocompete, but I'll I'll hold my
money for a while.

(57:38):
There you go.

SPEAKER_00 (57:39):
There's some pricey tournaments out there, and so it
sucks.
It sucks.
Well, I've had the same pricefor membership since we started.
You know, it's I have not had aop, I have not needed to raise
it, but I think next year it'sgonna have to go up.
Uh Golf Genius keeps uh upupping the price.

(58:00):
You know, when we when we firststarted using Golf Genius, it
was$3,600, it's up to$4,300 now.
Damn, that's crazy and nothinghas changed.

SPEAKER_05 (58:09):
Nothing has changed, bro.
That's why you got guys just gocreate a software that works for
a lot of people and you'll makemoney.
God, yeah, crazy.
Shout out Kevin Cox.

(58:32):
Birdie and a Kevin, the homie.

SPEAKER_00 (58:34):
So we're playing Concord on Saturday.
It is uh 8 a.m.
shotgun.
Oh no, I'm sorry.
I got that wrong.
I almost did.
Check your email.
Lexington is on Saturday.
I know.
Uh eight o'clock shotgun start.
Joe, could you repeat that,please?

SPEAKER_05 (58:51):
Uh 8 a.m.
a shotgun start.

SPEAKER_00 (58:53):
Thank you very much.
So I'm covered now, so Joe won'tbe late.

SPEAKER_05 (58:58):
Uh and after you, bro, oh fuck.
After the round, I also have arevere story if we gotta get
into that.
But go ahead.

SPEAKER_00 (59:06):
Uh, after the round, we've got uh buffet for the
players uh to come on in, getsome food afterwards, hang out,
chat it up, talk your shitbecause the finals the ends the
following day on Concord, andthen after the round on Concord,
we will congregate at MoorheadGrill, have some smash burgers,
hand out some trophies, and uhtoast the season closed.

(59:31):
So uh weather it's gonna bewe're gonna we've been
fortunate.
It's gonna be the worst.
I think the worst weather we hadall season was the wind in
Laughlin.
I don't I don't can anybody elsethink of a a more treacherous
weather outing that we had?

SPEAKER_05 (59:51):
Weather doesn't bother me.
Oh, we're gonna we might haverain, okay.
Yeah we might have some uh someband than like situation.
Situations and you know who'sgonna throw those.

SPEAKER_03 (01:00:05):
After uh true blue in Caledonia, nothing's gonna
happen.
Nothing, but I mean, we're goodto go.

SPEAKER_00 (01:00:12):
So I we we haven't heard from Maddie G in a while.
Uh I reached out to him todayand uh see where was that at?
Where was Matty G at?
And I asked him, I said, Hey,can you please take a look at
the weather?
Um and he said Saturday morethan likely scattered showers
early and midday.
Sunday maybe a few showersearly, then drying out for the

(01:00:33):
rest of the day.
So Sunday looking pretty good.
He said, I'll give you an updatethroughout the week.
It's a weird setup.
So funky weather pattern comingin.

SPEAKER_03 (01:00:41):
Vegas is a big area, so and so is Henderson.
So we'll see.

SPEAKER_00 (01:00:46):
Love the atmospheric rivers.

SPEAKER_05 (01:00:49):
That's why you gotta be that's why you gotta be
optimistic.

SPEAKER_00 (01:00:52):
Yeah, yeah.
So gonna have a little bit ofadversity to claim your title.

SPEAKER_05 (01:00:58):
Let's go.
Dan's just in there eyeballing atrophy.

SPEAKER_03 (01:01:01):
I like that for me.
Look, I we've already had agroup chat going between the
three of us, so uh it's uh it'llbe fun.

SPEAKER_00 (01:01:12):
Yeah, though they're they're gonna be done like in
two hours.

SPEAKER_03 (01:01:15):
Yeah, that was that was my next question.

SPEAKER_00 (01:01:17):
It all depends on what's in front of you.

SPEAKER_03 (01:01:19):
So that's true.
I was I was thinking Jeremy saidthat.
I was like, man, it's possiblewe're gonna finish quite earlier
than some of these people.

SPEAKER_00 (01:01:27):
Yeah, you're gonna have to help set up the buffet.

SPEAKER_03 (01:01:31):
Get the sternos out, get your ass in there and help.
No, it's you you I'll say thisahead of these guys, but man,
you do a lot of work for thisthing, and uh if no one's ever
said it, we appreciate it.
So thank you.
Yeah, I know you guys do.

SPEAKER_00 (01:01:46):
It's a thankless job.
I know Joe's never said it.
Joe's only only ever complained.

SPEAKER_05 (01:01:53):
I've only been targeted for being late when it
wasn't my fault.
That was it.

SPEAKER_00 (01:01:57):
Yeah, it was your fault.

SPEAKER_05 (01:01:59):
Your Lu Quan moment.

SPEAKER_00 (01:02:02):
Uh no, I I didn't email him.
It was my fair enough.

SPEAKER_05 (01:02:07):
He left me out.
Trey.
He emailed another Joe.
He emailed Joe Herrera, not me.

SPEAKER_00 (01:02:14):
Yeah.
One Joe, same Joe.
They're all too many Joes.
Too many Joes.

SPEAKER_01 (01:02:23):
Ah.

SPEAKER_00 (01:02:25):
Or said he didn't get a detailed.
Yeah, he said he didn't get theemail, but then we listened back
to the podcast where I confirmedthe start time, and Joe wasn't
paying attention because he waslooking on whatnot.

SPEAKER_05 (01:02:35):
Yeah, because I'm looking on for the homies on
whatnot.
Let's go.

Thank y'all for being here.

SPEAKER_00 (01:02:43):

SPEAKER_02 (01:02:49):
Probably anywhere from for two days?
Two days.
Anywhere from four under to tenover.
No good.
Oh, that's a big gap.

SPEAKER_00 (01:03:02):
That's a big gap.

SPEAKER_04 (01:03:04):
Jeremy?
Hmm.
Underpar for two rounds.
It's a must.

SPEAKER_00 (01:03:10):
It's a must.
Gotta in order to catch Dan,yeah.
Trey, what are you what are youshooting?

SPEAKER_03 (01:03:18):
Well, pretty much it's it's similar to Dan.
I mean, it's that you know, fiveunder to five over category
that's gonna happen.
And uh you know, Jeremy and Iare pretty far back in this
thing for player of the year, but you know, anything can
happen.
Anything can happen and stillgot a tournament to to to win.

SPEAKER_00 (01:03:38):
And watch your six the next couple days, Dan.

SPEAKER_04 (01:03:42):
I told him I'm gonna take them both out drinking, and
I'll be the designated driver.

SPEAKER_00 (01:03:46):
You're gonna be driving home, you'll be a black
tellurite on your ass.

SPEAKER_02 (01:03:51):
I know him, and uh I know Trey and Jeremy are
conspiring something.

SPEAKER_03 (01:03:55):
Yeah.
Well, we'll show up to the firsttee like, dude, we got this
awesome lake.

SPEAKER_02 (01:04:03):
We got these special liquid deaths for you.
It might be a good thing thatit's uh we're a threesome
because I might have to ride bymyself on this one.
Uh-oh.

SPEAKER_01 (01:04:11):
Oh I was gonna say, I'm gonna let these two guys
ride by themselves.

SPEAKER_03 (01:04:14):
I'll drive by myself.
That's what we should do, isjust flip it on the you do a
rock, paper, scissors on thefirst T and just see whoever
wins gets the solo cart.

SPEAKER_00 (01:04:24):
Oh I no, I think I think Trey, I think you're the
solo cart because it was bypoint standings.
Fair enough.
So that's that's how it cameout.

SPEAKER_02 (01:04:34):
Now, whether you guys do that, I've ridden with
Jeremy every event this year, sothat's another one.

SPEAKER_03 (01:04:39):
It's been working for you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I was gonna say it's you caneither do that or you're I mean
shit.
I'd be willing to, you know, you're the you're the big man in
front.
You can have the solo card ifyou want it.
We'll see.

SPEAKER_00 (01:04:54):

SPEAKER_05 (01:05:48):

SPEAKER_00 (01:06:37):

master level eight.

SPEAKER_05 (01:06:41):
He's the best, and why is it not ten?

SPEAKER_00 (01:06:45):

SPEAKER_05 (01:06:47):
Well, sorry, uh Ron L.

SPEAKER_02 (01:06:53):

And it's with prices going up,our tournament prices
unfortunately are gonna go up.
I don't have any control overthat.
We're still getting the bestdeals that people will give us,
but you know, there's only somuch room I have to put these

(01:07:59):
events on.
