When tsunami warnings struck Hawaii this week, our hosts had their priorities straight – figure out how to save the sim rigs! Jason and Jeff hilariously debated whether to move their wheels to the attic while evacuating PCs to higher ground, perfectly capturing the dedication of true sim racing enthusiasts.

The team doesn't hold back when discussing LMU's recent 1.0 release, with Eric delivering some hard truths about his experience. "The car feel is atrocious," he states, comparing it to "ACC braking turned up to max." Despite seeing positive reviews online, the hosts question whether the platform is ready for prime time, especially given its tiered subscription model that locks features like custom liveries and incident reporting behind paywalls. The contrast between marketing promises and actual performance leads to a passionate discussion about what makes a sim worth your time and money.

Not all virtual worlds get the same treatment, though. The conversation brightens considerably when exploring Gran Turismo's fictional tracks, particularly Trial Mountain. This beloved circuit, existing only in the digital world, showcases how virtual environments can create memorable racing experiences through thoughtful design, elevation changes, and visual appeal. Through this discussion, the team highlights Gran Turismo's broader appreciation for automotive culture beyond just racing.

The episode wraps with an in-depth look at bass shaker setups, featuring listener "Top Shot" Neil's impressive multi-shaker configuration. His audio engineering perspective on phasing and frequency targeting provides valuable insights for anyone looking to enhance their rig's immersion factor.

Jason (00:34):
This episode is brought to you by Trophyai.
We discuss all things in thesim racing world.
I'm your host, jason Rivera, and I'm joined here by Mr Eric
Kelly and Jeff Smart.
How is everyone doing?

Erick (00:46):
today.
Good man Been trying not tomelt down here.
We've been up in the high 90sman Feeling like 107, 108, man,
we don't know how to act.
Man, we're just down heremelting, Speaking of melting
it's been a pretty chaotic weekout here, Jason.

Jeff (01:02):
What happened out here in Hawaii this week?

Jason (01:04):
I know we're surviving tsunamis apparently.

Jeff (01:08):
Or alleged tsunamis, which is a better way to say it.

Jason (01:11):
Yeah, they came out and said a 60-foot wave coming out
of Russia.
Russia's pretty damn far fromHawaii and it was coming in from
the north and we don't reallyparticularly stay up there.
Yeah, it caused a huge panicand I got to give it to Jeff.

(01:32):
Man, jeff had his drone up inthe air.
He's like I don't see anything,so I think we're good.

Jeff (01:37):
I needed a little heads up because we were holding the
fort down.
We had everything packed up togo into the truck and go to
higher ground if we needed to.
But I was like like let me justlaunch the drone out, give me,
give me a couple minute headstart on this thing and uh boy,
that was boring.

Jason (01:53):
Yeah, we were supposed to record that day too.
And yeah, I'm just sitting herelike twirling my thumbs like
the wave's supposed to be hereor the tsunami is supposed to be
here.

Jeff (02:01):
So I just want to say nothing happened.

Jason (02:06):
Yeah, thanks for everyone checking up on us and sending
us messages.
I really appreciate those, butyeah, that's kind of the
highlight of the week honestly.
I mean there's a few thingsgoing on, but yeah, it was kind
of scary to think because wedon't really have a choice here

(02:27):
if we get hit by a tsunami, Imean if they come, if it comes
in, there's not really that'swhat I was telling jeff.
I was like jeff, you shouldcome to my house, bro, because
the traffic was ridiculous,ridiculous.
You wouldn't make it, you, youwouldn't get nowhere.
I mean, there were peopleevacuating that didn't even have
to evacuate and they wereevacuating.

Jeff (02:45):
So I'm like you're up on the mountains, when are you
going?

Jason (02:51):
It's crazy, man.
All right, man.
Well, it sounds like everyonehad a pleasant week and some
heat going on over there.

Jeff (03:00):
Hold on With.
That said, there was adiscussion that Jason and I had
about what we were doing withthe rigs if we had to depart.
They were going up in the attic.

Jason (03:08):
The PCs were going to the truck.
Oh they were.

Jeff (03:10):
We had a plan in action.

Jason (03:12):
He's like when I see this wave come in.
Jeff was like I'm runningupstairs, I'm going to lift it
up, I'm taking it upstairs.

Jeff (03:20):
The PC's coming with me, the wheel's coming with me,
everything's going to the secondfloor.
Yeah, we had a plan.
We had it.

Jason (03:26):
Oh yeah, that was hilarious.

Erick (03:29):
That's what the plan was, man.
That's crazy.
Those are the prioritiesapparently.

Jason (03:35):
Yeah, we get a lot of tornado warnings and stuff.

Erick (03:37):
So I was kind of curious what y'all's evacuation plan was
.

Jason (03:42):
Well, this is a good kind of segue into a mini topic.
I mean, it's very mini, honestly, for the cost of what
these things cost.
You might want to put someinsurance on that.
You know, like you know, thingslike this happen and explaining
the total value of this isreally difficult.

(04:03):
Like, imagine digging out everysingle receipt that it's gonna
be hard, you know it's gonna be,uh, it's gonna be a mess so
yeah all right, man.
So I'm not sure if we coveredsome racing this week.
Yeah, we did.
Actually we did road america.
It went really bad, uh, reallybad.

(04:26):
Uh, my stint was was great, Iwas killing it.
Uh, one of our teammates hadthe bright idea he's like yo,
we're gonna race the mustang.
I did not want to race themustang as you know, I'm not a
muscle fan, you know like thatbut we raced it and some things
happened and we were justchatting like man.

(04:47):
Imagine if nimcross was in thestream and guess what yes, he
was no.
Sir nimcross was watching theentire thing, I think because
nimcross is like the eye thatsees everything.

Jeff (05:02):
He's like always there but not.
He wasn't saying.

Jason (05:04):
He wasn't saying anything .
He wasn't saying anything.
And then at the end of the day,at the end of the stream, I was
like, well, he said what's up,you know, in midstream he said,
hey guys, how you guys doing.
And blah, blah, blah.
But then when I was closing thestream down, six hours later it
was a six hours at road America.
I said hey, thank you everybody, Nim, if you're still here,

(05:26):
thank you so much.
And then he said GG and I waslike, oh, he saw everything.
He saw everything.
So, if you guys are curious, some heated moments in there,
but all good, you live and youlearn right.

Erick (05:45):
So for an ounce I'm sure he'll get the incident report or
the He'll get the incident.

Jason (05:52):
So I don't know because these guys were threatening to
report us One of our driversspun out and he backed up the
car and he was sideways andthere was a P1, there was a
hyper, you know the LMP2 comingat full force, full force and he

(06:13):
was P1.
And his day got ruined.
So if you guys follow the show,if that's you, that happened.
We honestly, that was notintentional.
We were trying to get the caroff the track.
Now, in the future, I would saythis and I did want to cover
some of it If you're in a fastercar and your class is faster,

(06:38):
it is your responsibility tocare for the slower cars that
are on track, regardless of whateverybody says.
It is your responsibilitybecause you have the ability to
fly by safely right, wheneveryou deem it safe, but trying to
pass another car off track, Idon't think that was really safe

(07:00):
.
You know what I mean and that'swhat happened.
Our driver was backing up.

Jeff (07:20):
He's backing up, backing up, trying to get off the track.
Get off the race line, if youwill.
Do you stay there and leteverybody go around you, or you
trying to get off?
But obviously the flip side isthat is, people don't know if
you're going to go forward orbackwards.
You know, is there an unwrittenrule in the race craft of what
you're, what you're supposed todo?

Jason (07:41):
You're supposed to get off the race line or hold the
brakes, because if you spun out-.

Jeff (07:48):
You see the double-edged sword I'm talking about, though,
right yeah?

Jason (07:51):
Yeah, if you spun out and there's cars immediately after,
you're supposed to look down atyour telemetry and see how
close is the nearest car to meto get an idea if it's safe
enough to move the car off thetrack and straighten it.
You know what I mean, so thatway you can use your mirrors and
see where you're where you'reat.

(08:12):
But we were.
The car was completely sideways, facing a wall.
We can't see.
We can see this way.
But then there was another.

Jeff (08:20):
That's what I'm saying.
You can only see so far.
I don't know if you're supposedto wait till it's open to even
move, or move and get off thetrack but risk hitting somebody
that doesn't think you're goingto move, and if you know Road
America, which we should coverthat track.
It's a fun track.
Yeah, it's a nice weaving, youknow that right-hander.

Jason (08:37):
That's high speed, that you really that?

Jeff (08:40):
you take it flat out.

Jason (08:42):
It's a right-hander, you take flat out and it's kind of
blind.
So you're coming around thatcorner in sixth gear, at least
in a GT3 car.
Imagine an LMP2 car.
You're at full force, so that'skind of.
We actually got lucky becausehe grazed our bumper, he scraped
it, but then he spun out ofcontrol and wrecked.
So we got all the hate mailsent to us.

Erick (09:08):
Pretty sure he's got some nice messages after that.

Jason (09:12):
Yeah, and one of the messages was word for word
Uninstall.
Go back to Gran Turismo, eric.
I'm sorry, but that's how theydid us, you know.

Jeff (09:23):
Did you dirty with that one?

Jason (09:25):
They did us real dirty.
I got two announcements guys.

Erick (09:29):
We all straight no chaser man.

Jason (09:31):
I'm trying to move on from this.

Erick (09:35):
Look, some days are good, some are bad.
That's all I'm going to say.

Jason (09:39):
Okay, that's fair enough.
So I got two announcements.
We are, by the time this airs,we should be less than 30 days
from the Sim Gaming Expo, tryingto stress it, you know, if you
guys need tickets, let us know, just let us know.

(09:59):
Send us emails.
Chicane 10 is still active.
And one final announcement forme is speaking of gran turismo.
I picked up a little device youcan play gran turismo on and,
uh, it's a really awesome pieceof hardware.
You can play in bed or whatever.

(10:20):
So I'll be.
I'll be talking about thisdevice later on, when I get some
more, uh, hands-on with it.

Jeff (10:26):
So play that in the airplane on the way to the expo.

Jason (10:29):
It's exactly, uh it.
Yeah, that's exactly what I wastrying to go for, you know.
Um, yeah, you need a goodinternet connection and as long
as you got that, you know you're.

Erick (10:46):
Yeah, man, we were talking about that.
I've been on the fence aboutgetting one when Jason sent me
the picture of him chauffeuringat home in the car on the
passenger side.

Jason (10:51):
Oh yeah, it had a seatbelt on too, this thing.

Erick (10:54):
I was like, okay, I'm about to get the review that
it's about to go through.
I want to know exactly.

Jason (11:03):
I mean there's really no compromise.
In graphics you see that it'sthat's I'm crashing because I'm
not controlling anything.
It's sharp as hell, super sharp, yeah, and it's really thin.
We'll uh we'll take a look atthis guy and it's actually very
affordable.
It's way than.

Erick (11:23):
You pay more for a controller than it costs, which
is kind of crazy to say yeah youdo, yes, and I am a fan of Gran
Turismo.

Jason (11:33):
I do, I like it.
It's just not my main sim, butI still try to.
I'm still trying to collect allthe cars.
That's what I'm trying to do,which is getting expensive.
You know, gotta have thatcheddar man.
Gotta hit them time trials upand grind that money man.
Yes, sir, what about you, eric, what you got for us this week?
Any announcements?

Erick (11:55):
yeah, man, you know I got like a little small sim
industry update.
Um, so there's a little simthat really in the past since
they announced this, the I thinkthe energy behind it has kind
of died out just a little bit,um or at least it seems that way
just because every other simhas had some, you know, some
sort of release or update orsomething like that.
But uh, aceto, corsa, evo, um,they announced that their next

(12:20):
update will include multiplayeronline.
It's kind of weird because alot of publications called what
they have now as multiplayeronline, but you're not playing
against other people.
They're just like oh, the gameyou're online now for whatever

(12:42):
reason.

Jason (12:43):
But yeah, the actual, true multiplayer will be coming
with their next, I see you wereconnected to the server but you
wasn't racing with nobody, whichis cool.
I mean, that gives um.
I guess they're trying to getpeople to actually try it,
because I think that the gamestill on a special price before

(13:03):
its final 1.0 release price.

Erick (13:08):
Which you know, 1.0 got pushed back, but you know we'll
talk about that another time.

Jason (13:13):
Oh yeah, I mean it's still kind of relevant to what
we're about to talk about soon.
But, jeff, what you got for usthis week, man.

Jeff (13:24):
I have a bone to pick with one of you, gentlemen.
Somebody shared some stuff thatthey got last week and there
were some comments about in thevideo or the last podcast we put
out.
That said there was adiscussion over the base shaker
versus the butt kicker and theysaid that the base shaker

(13:44):
superior to the butt kicker.
They said the bass shakersuperior to the butt kicker.
So I had a moment of weakness,gentlemen.
No, you didn't.
That was quick.
Good old Amazon delivered today.
It would have been yesterday, but allegedly we had a little
bit of a wave coming through.

Jason (14:01):
Yeah, we had tsunamis coming.
The Amazon truck driver wasevacuating.

Erick (14:06):
This is on you.

Jason (14:07):
Okay, this is on you.

Erick (14:10):
We all get one right, finally somebody.
Well, I guess I had my timewith the three.

Jason (14:16):
I haven't purchased mine, so now I'm going to patiently
wait to hear from Jeff.

Erick (14:23):
What amp did you end up going with?

Jeff (14:25):
I got the same setup you did.
I'm going to go left and rightside, kurt, you know uh, road,
um, textures, you know, curbs,et cetera is my goal.
Um, they got here no shit likean hour ago and one's already
hooked up on the other side, onone side.
So, uh, but I haven't messed atall with it.
So as soon as we break fromhere, I'm going to be in this,

(14:47):
in the, in the rig uh, settingit up, make sure that you watch
the last episode, because ericum forgot to plug something in,
you know.
So I was the opposite powerkelly usb and I'm like test,
trying to hit the test and youcan hear it vibrating.
To make sure you know youhooked it up right Like son of a

(15:08):
bitch, like I'm doingeverything right.

Jason (15:11):
I'm picking on him too much, I'm dead oh.

Jeff (15:14):
I forgot to turn the switch on Power, but it's got to
, yeah, so anyways, we got itworking.
But, eric, this one's on you.
Buddy, I hope you stay up,can't fall asleep.
But one other one.
Uh, I was in some.
I'd like to try to do a fullrace in the w13 I racing series.
They do you know wherever thef1 track uh race is, they do a

(15:36):
full length race in the, uh, thew13 mercedes f1 car.
So I was getting in the hungrytrack the hung Hungarian track,
excuse me and just trying to getsome practice in.
I'm going to try to knock itout either tonight or tomorrow
night.
But I was talking with a dudethis guy's name's Oliver Leclerc
, with the C at the end, and itwas just me and him on the track

(15:59):
and I was like hey, dude, I amsure you've got this hundreds of
times, but this is going to bethe hundred and first time any
relation and with like thisheavy, I guess, french accent.
He was like not immediately, but I've had so many people ask.
I did like a genealogy orwhatever it is and he's like
like 200 plus years ago therewas ties or whatever, or 200

(16:23):
generations ago.
I don't remember what it was,but he was like loosely, like
loosely back, you know, a couplehundred years ago.
There was some relation and Iwas like no, that's kind of cool
.
But uh, yeah, it was just kindof.
You know, it's just.
I always just take a glance, uh,and see who you're racing with
um, because you see posts, youknow, every now and again, of
famous people driving in iRacingUm.

(16:49):
So, yeah, it was kind of cool totalk to somebody that, uh, you
know, we just sit in their chatand getting some practice and
he's done every full length race, uh, in the W13 and iRacing Um.
You know you're talking like anhour and a half race every week
, um, so he was helping me with, gave me some tips on, you know,
surviving uh, the first firstlong, you know, 70 something
laps in a, uh, one of thehardest cars to drive, in my
opinion, in iRacing Um.

(17:10):
He was like listen, you can't,you know, finish the race.
If you don't finish the race,he's like two thirds of the

(17:35):
field that starts ain't going tobe there at the end.
Yeah, true, and I was like, oh,I appreciate the feedback.
So if you're listening, dude, Iappreciate the chatting with
you and the tips I'm going totry to give that a go and I'll
give everybody an update on how70 laps in Hungary goes in the
W13.
Nice so that's been my week.

Jason (17:56):
Hungary.
Sir, we might do a track of theweek on that.
Depending on how we feel aboutit, it's hard to find a race
that supports like a eveningtime here in hawaii.

Jeff (18:07):
That's the biggest gripe I have with iRacing yeah with
those, with those are kind ofniche right yeah, they only
offer like five or six a weekend, like, yeah, thursday there's
one, friday, saturday there'slike two, three, four more each
day.
So I'll figure it out sooner orlater, that's what's up, man?

Jason (18:29):
All right, so main discussion time guys.
Yes, definitely, jeff.
Update us and let us know howthat went when it goes down.
Yeah, I would like to see ortry to take a few clips if you
can, if you can.
So I know you'll be 100%focused on the race.
But, eric, what we got thisweek, man, I see you got.

(18:52):
You got some things that are onyour mind lately, so let's hear
it from you, bro.

Erick (18:58):
Yeah, man.
So my topic for this week isone that's like I said earlier,
everybody's getting updates.
But one in particular I want totalk about was LMU.
I know on the last podcast wetalked about how we need to
spend a little more time with it.
I know Jason at least fired itup.
I don't know how yourexperience went.
I know Jason at least fired itup.
I don't know how yourexperience went.

(19:19):
I can tell you about mine veryshortly, because I didn't get
much.
It would not put me in a race.
It would load up, fine.
Go through the menus, fine.
Select the car track.
Try to go into practice.
I never got out the pits, literally.
I was able to pull the car intopit lane and was about to leave
the pits.
That's as far as I got.

Jason (19:40):
Would it crash?

Erick (19:43):
Multiple days.
It wouldn't crash.
Literally, it would just bringup the little LMU transition.
Oh whoa, it would just drop meback at the menu screen.

Jason (19:52):
And this is a 1.0.

Erick (19:53):
The game wasn't crashing.
Yeah, this is 1.0.
I think we need to subtractsomething from that.
I don't know.
You see 0.8, 0.898.
So listen, I don't even know.
I can't talk about nothing.
The force feed I was excited.

Jason (20:09):
Okay, so I'm going to give my quick thoughts on it.
I did put like two or threehours in it and that was enough
because I've been playing thegame.
Every time it updates, I throwit on to see what's changed and
I'll tell you.
I'm still seeing bugs.
I'm still seeing a lot offlickering on track.
I'm still seeing a lot ofglitches.
I'm still seeing my forcefeedback just completely not

(20:34):
working and having to reset theforce feedback with a button,
which I should not have to do.
I don't know why that is athing in this sim.
Aside of all of that, I don'tunderstand what the algorithm is
saying here, because a lot ofreviews that I see is nothing

(20:56):
but praise.
But I'll tell you now.
On the Chicane Podcast, nobodypays us to speak good about
anything.
So I'm going to tell you rightnow.
The car feel in that game isatrocious.
I don't like it.
It feels like ACC braking, butturned up to max.
They want me to literally smashthe brake pedal every corner,

(21:20):
and this is not realistic.
Have I been into a race car?
No, but I'm pretty sure youhaven't either, or anybody
watching either.
So to get around this, asimulation comes with feel.
First, I don't care about thegraphics, I don't care about the

(21:42):
sound is important too, but Idon't care too much about the
sound, but I care about the feel.
How does it feel in the hands, how does it drive?
And then a lot of people tellme the first thing they say is
you need a warmup of tires.
Okay, I spun 20 laps.
I'm pretty sure the tiresshould be nice and toasty after

(22:02):
20 laps, you know.
And I went to a.
What did I?
I went to Bahrain, which is ahot ass track, first of all to
get them tires hot faster thanyou know theoretically.
So my, my advice is stay away, you know.
And I'm not telling you to buyiRacing, I'm telling you that

(22:22):
you have plenty of other simsthat you could be playing and
have fun with.
Acc is still a great sim.
It's still active.
Um, uh, what is it?
Um, ams2 awesome.
Just got an update too, wherewe need to check out.
We all need to check out.
Um, yes, you know, you haveoptions.
You have ac, which probably oneof the best car feels out there

(22:45):
.
Um, depending on the car, right, you know.
But you have mods like rss.
They just dropped a new formulacar.
I don't know if you've seenthat jeff um already got it it,
it's an instant buy.
You don't even look, you don'teven think about it.

Jeff (23:02):
I've had it for a minute now.

Jason (23:03):
That's what's up.
So yeah, I mean, and that'swhat I mean.
And on top of that you'retrying to take a game and call
it more affordable, LMU, moreaffordable, but then you want to
charge for a subscription.
So I just, oh, just, I know youhave words on that, Eric, so I

(23:24):
yeah, so I got.

Erick (23:25):
I got two things.
One, um, you know, kind ofbeing a tech reviewer, I'm I'm
almost always kind of uhhesitant to kind of be absolute
right, because I know differentpeople have different
experiences.
So I want to put this out thereas well If you guys are running

(23:46):
LMU and it is running great foryou, right, you aren't having
any issues or anything like that, let us know in the comments.
But also let us know if you hadto do any sort of tweaks or
settings changes or anythinglike that, because to me, just
out the boxes never just workedLike there's always been

(24:06):
something you know you kind ofhad to get going, whether that's
force feedback working or youknow, detecting the wheel or
retaining settings.
It was always something.
But this was weird for mebecause I could not get it to
let me in the game, like it just.
But it wasn't giving me anerror, it was just I would get

(24:27):
ready to pull out the pits andit was like almost like I was
going to commercial, like I'd beturning out the pits and it
just the LMU transistor screencomes up and it just goes away.

Jeff (24:36):
That's wild, like you's why I've seen people.

Erick (24:37):
Like you said, I've seen people on youtube streaming it,
you know doing races for hours.
So it's it's definitely hit ormiss, but um the the second
thing is on that subscriptionpiece they got.
They got to cut that out man, Iknow, I mean I like it's to in
in the difference.
I know everybody's going to say,like when I raise a
subscription and all this stuff, the stuff that they are wanting

(25:01):
you to subscribe to access, iskind of weird, because it's not
a subscription to the game, right, it is a.
You know, you've got the toptier subscription, which is like
$85 a year or something likethat.
They get you all the top tiersubscription, which is like 85 a
year or something like that.
They get you all the dlc andall that stuff.

(25:23):
Uh, they have a middle tierwhich is I actually got the
prices up here um, military is48 bucks.
That comes with basicallyeverything but the dlc.
All right, but if you want todo a custom livery, um, if you
want to do incident protests,it's stuff like that where it's

(25:43):
like I want to customize my car.

Jason (25:45):
Wait, you need to pay to submit an incident protest.
Come on bro.

Erick (25:54):
You got to pay extra Right.
In iRacing you got to pay to dothat too.

Jeff (25:58):
But it comes with a price.

Erick (26:01):
Yeah, it's included in the one.

Jason (26:03):
It's a one subscription.
There is no tier.
You pay one time, yeah, or onething, yeah.

Erick (26:08):
You know, yeah, exactly, and that's kind of where I have
the issue at.
It's like I know we're kind ofgetting away from the you know
charge, what you're going tocharge me.

Jason (26:23):
Listen, I have to be critical because I know this is
going to upset a lot of people, and it's okay.
You have a right to be upset, you know.
But if you're going to marketthe game as fully released
everything is fixed, everythingworks and we go and install it
and nothing works then what areyou saying to your users?

(26:43):
What are you doing with yourusers?
You know what I mean.
Yeah, if something needs moretime to cook, don't lie about it
.
Just come out and say it.
Like AC Evo, like hey, man,we're still having these issues,
we're going to fix them.
Just hang on for a little whilelonger.
You know what I mean.

(27:04):
But to me it's it's a reallyhard sin for me to get around to
liking, because I do not likethe driving feel.
It feels like, like everythingthat I've learned and every
other sin goes out the windowwhen I play this game, because I
mean I know that's verycritical.

(27:24):
I'm just telling you, to me itis not worth the cost at all and
I even thought aboutuninstalling it.
But I want to keep it installedto keep you guys up to date
with any tire model changes.
Maybe they fix it, maybe itgets better.
Maybe they fix it, maybe maybeit gets better.
I don't know.
And I've tried all the I meanI've tried what all types of

(27:44):
their cars, only three types, you know you.
Or it's four types of cars.
You don't really have much ofan option there.
Honestly, for that $80, there'snot really that much option
that you have.
So I think it's a little.
It's a little too soon to startcharging for something before
it's even cooked yet.

(28:04):
Does that make sense to youguys?
You know what I mean.
It's a little too soon for that.

Jeff (28:08):
Yeah, I understand a hundred percent what you're
saying, but I know we do have alot of listeners that do prefer
LMU over iRacing and I'd love tohear tell us why you prefer LMU
over iRacing.
And I'd love to hear tell uswhy you prefer LMU over iRacing.
I don't have the game, I don'tplay it, I've never played it,
so I don't have a dog in thefight.
Well, I guess I do because I doiRacing.
But I'm curious, you know, leave a comment, you know, or

(28:32):
send us an email on why youprefer LMU over iRacing.

Jason (28:37):
There, you go.

Erick (28:38):
Yeah, I like it.
I'm interested to see whatthose answers look like, because
racing at this point is like doyou want to race, yes or no?
Yes, it ain't on LMU.

Jeff (28:52):
Well, there's a lot Like.

Erick (28:54):
I said yeah.

Jason (28:54):
Like I said, if it's just a cost thing, if it's just
because of the cost, there's waybetter options there and way
more that are way cheaper thanboth of them.
I'm just I'm being real withyou guys.
I'm known for being criticaland letting you know how I feel
and I just it's not for me.

(29:16):
That sim is not for me, and I'mnot a real pro race driver.
I don't race cars in real life,so I can't begin to tell you
how a car should feel.
But I do listen to feedbackfrom other real life drivers,
you know, and I take them intothe highest consideration
because this is what they do fora living.

(29:38):
You know what I mean.

Jeff (29:39):
I did see Daniel Morat push the video out just recently
maybe in the last three weeks, comparing the two.
I have it on my saved to watchon YouTube, but I'll have to
give it a watch, as a dude who'sprobably qualified more than
anybody to push a videocomparing the two in favor of
one over the other.

(30:00):
It's probably that dude.

Jason (30:01):
Yeah, yeah, of course.

Jeff (30:03):
I agree.

Jason (30:04):
Yeah, you can watch his video.
There's other drivers out there, but again Daniel Morad.
And just in my opinion, DanielMorad is a GT driver.
He doesn't drive LMP two carsthat.

Erick (30:17):
I know of that's fair.

Jason (30:18):
You know what I mean.
Yeah, so I mean you got applesto apples.
You know what I mean.
I'm predominantly GT3, and theysound good, they look great,
but to get, I feel disconnectedfrom these cars and I've tried

(30:38):
everything.
So if anybody has advice for meor you guys have any
recommended settings for thechicane podcast, you know I'd be
willing to go in there andtweak some things if I need to
and give it another shot.
Right, because it's not.
You know, I, like I said, saidI thought about uninstalling it,
but then I stopped being pettyand I kept it installed, you

(31:02):
know, and just keep it there, just in case it it improves, you
know, or something gets betteror something changes to keep you
guys up to date.
But uh, that is my okay.
I guess that's our thoughts onlmu I and its current state as
of early August of 25.

Erick (31:23):
Yeah, we'll keep an eye on it, but you know right now
definitely some mixed feelings.
I'll say that.

Jason (31:29):
Want to have a live coach available on demand.
With Trophy AI, you'll be ableto practice with Mansell AI at

(31:50):
Check links to Trophy AI in thedescription and also use

Erick (31:59):
But a game that is not difficult to run, that does not
require any sort of tweaking toget into.

Jason (32:07):
Here he goes.

Erick (32:09):
I wanted to talk and this , you know, specifically isn't
about Gran Turismo in particularbut I just want to get feedback
from you guys on virtual tracks, and when I say virtual tracks,
just tracks that only exist ina sim or in a game.
Gran Turismo is, you know, theyhave a couple of them that
they're pretty well known for,and I kind of wanted to just

(32:33):
show you guys because I know Ithought about this and I know
jeff has never seen this trackever, because he's never.
You know, before and andcorrect me if I'm wrong, jeff,
but before the simulator, younever really did any sort of
gaming none dude.

Jeff (32:50):
So chances are like zero chance yeah, so.

Erick (32:54):
So, my, my assumption was right and so, uh, I think it'd
be interesting to see.
It's the truth, well, no, so tome it's going to be interesting
to kind of show Jeff I did alap on Trial Mountain, which is
one of the one of the tracksthat's been in Gran Turismo gosh
, I think since the first onemaybe.

(33:17):
Gosh, I think since the firstone maybe.
Like, it's been in a lot ofgran turismos for a long time.
So this is a track that I feltlike was, you know, they have
done a lot of tweaking and, youknow, had chances to model and
update and, you know, incorporate all their newest you
know, technology and stuff thatthey learned from scanning more
modern tracks and seeing.

(33:38):
Getting jeff to see what thismade-up track looks like, having
never seen it and knowing thatit doesn't exist in real life.
I would be interested and Iknow jason has seen it once or
twice, you know, because as muchhate as he gives the
playstation, he's uh oh, I wasplaying it in bed, you know oh
man, come on All good, hey, I'llbe right there with you, man,

(34:08):
not in bed.

Jeff (34:11):
I like how you did just that, eric man.

Jason (34:12):
I mean shit, man.
I'm about to go meet you bro.

Jeff (34:14):
The expo's coming up here Nah, man.

Erick (34:20):
Nah, it's late over here, man, y'all got to give me one,
all right, so this is like Isaid.
This is Trial Mountain, this isreverse.

Jeff (34:26):
Okay, so this track doesn't exist anywhere, but in a
video game.

Erick (34:31):
Yep, nowhere, but in Gran Turismo, gran Turismo, and this
is vr, and the vr does lookbetter than this in real life,
as pretty much everybodyprobably tells you yeah, it's a
nice track.

Jason (34:52):
I like this track.
Even I wish it existed.
You know what I mean.
That's hell.
Yeah, that's as much it's gotthe know what I mean.
Hell, yeah, that's as much.
It's got the tunnel.
Yeah, look at the tunnel.
Oh, that's pretty good, allright.

Erick (35:04):
Eric, I see you bro.

Jeff (35:08):
Dang, look at Turn it.

Jason (35:18):
Is this where you're going to race?

Erick (35:21):
No, we're racing on Spa on Sunday.

Jason (35:23):
Oh, Spa Okay.

Erick (35:25):
Yeah.

Jason (35:26):
Because, bro, you know this track really well.
You know, do some damage here.

Jeff (35:33):
I bet that looks dope in VR.

Jason (35:35):
Oh it looks sick bro, the graphics on this game is
ridiculous.
It looks Like even on.
Oh it looks sick bro, thegraphics on this game is
ridiculous, it looks.

Jeff (35:41):
Like even on a handheld, it looks crazy.

Erick (35:43):
Look at this yeah, coming out that tunnel and the light
hitting you.

Jeff (35:51):
Look at that You're steering out your left window.

Jason (35:54):
I'm going to say something critical.
I'd rather play GT7 than LMUall day.

Jeff (36:00):
Okay.

Jason (36:03):
That's a pretty strong statement.

Jeff (36:04):
And we know how you feel about GT7.

Erick (36:08):
Hey, I'll say this the VR and LMU better step up real
quick.
After that, what'd they get?
$2 million from Pimax Crystal.

Jason (36:20):
You know that they almost shut this game down.
Lmu was at the point of gettingcanceled altogether.

Erick (36:28):
Yeah, All right.

Jason (36:37):
Beautiful, beautiful track that looks dope.

Erick (36:41):
Yeah, so that was Trial Mountain.
I heard some of your feedback, jeff.
Pretty, pretty cool track.
I don't know.
Jason, what's your thoughts onvirtual tracks?

Jason (36:59):
Jason, what's your thoughts on virtual tracks?
The only thing I'd say is thatthey don't transfer to other
sims.
If you learn Spa, you learn iton UTT7, right, um, utt7, right,
and yeah, you come over toiRacing or whatever other sim.

(37:21):
It doesn't have to be iRacing,um and it's you know, you know
you know the track, just as longas they're updated right on
both sides, because I have tosay that, but you know 90 of the
track, even if it wasn'tupdated.
I know Suzuka has had manychanges between different Sims

(37:43):
and 130R is one of the straightsinto a turn that changes
significantly, but the rest ofthe track is the same.
Other than that, I think it'scool.
I mean, I think it's cool, Imean, I, I think it's cool, I
think it's cool to have, um, howdo you say, uh, the developer's

(38:05):
vision into what he thinks it'sa perfect track.
You know, I think, to see theirvision because, um, you know,
gran Turismo, the developer iswhat?
Uh?
Polyfinal, what is it?
Dolby, something, polyphony,polyphony, polyphony Digital.
So Polyphony Digital makes onegame, this is the only game that

(38:27):
they make, and it's a Japanese, right, japanese company, and
their vision is Gran Turismo.
They don't care about droppingGran Turismo R rally or Gran
Turismo, you know, or, or, ordifferent title.
So I think Gran Turismo has abig I knock it a lot because,

(38:50):
you know, I, I, I, I'veexperienced something way, way
more, uh, higher fidelity.
However, you know, gran Turismohas a big history, specifically
with me personally, becauseit's the one game that got me
into racing, you know, or racingagainst other cars on the track

(39:12):
, because before that it wasneed for speed, but then you
didn't have the wide selectionof cars to choose from like you
did in gt.
So I think that for them Igotta give them props, for them,
you know, creating a track wayearly on in their franchise and
then still trying to improve itas the years went on, you know.

(39:36):
So I think, yeah, I thinkthey're cool.
I just think that, um, weshouldn't have.
I think that we should alwayshave all the tracks, all the
major tracks in this, in the SIMor the game.
As long as we have that, thengo ahead and make a virtual
track, of course, why not?

(39:56):
You know what I mean.
But if you're missing tracksand you start making virtual
tracks, then I'm going to havewords to say right, Because it's
like well, we don't have thesetracks and why are we making up
tracks?
We want to get in the actual, real track.
Because I tell you and I'llfinish with this, I think

(40:18):
there's something special aboutand Jeff can probably touch on
this big time there's somethingspecial about driving a car on a
track and learning it to the Tand then actually going to the
track and seeing it in real lifeand you appreciate it that much
more, I think, with thatSingapore GP.
You know, when you went youwere racing Singapore, it was in

(40:43):
the F1 game but hey, you know,it was still.

Jeff (40:46):
I got it in.
I have it in a set of Corsa now.

Jason (40:49):
You got it in a set of Corsa, and that's what I mean
Like, and then you're like dude,I used to, so you're walking
around the track in real life orseeing it on TV.

Jeff (40:57):
I can drive and be like that's my seat right there.

Jason (41:00):
Yeah, oh, I wrecked right in this corner, yeah, Like late
at night one night, like whatdo you mean?
Oh, don't worry about it, youdon't worry about that.
So I think that's my thoughtson it.
I think initially I'm like youknow, I don't really Like you
know, I don't really.
But then when you startthinking about the significance
of the developer putting up thatmuch time to create something

(41:24):
from nothing and then build onit and make it look as realistic
as it looks in Gran Turismo, Ithink it's awesome, yeah.

Jeff (41:35):
Yeah, you know, never.
I'll just give it kind of.
I guess my quick spiel is Iguess never have played.
You know, gt seven is likeJason was saying, is I like
driving?
So like I've been putting Idon't know how many laps last
night I put on you know, theHungarian GP track.
Um, because tomorrow I get towatch FP one on it and I can be
like, oh that you know I have atrouble with the chicane on the

(42:04):
back side of the track, like Ijust can't get the car set up,
and it's just cool to then beable to watch the best in the
world execute it.
Um, so that's really how I kindof enjoy.
My simulator is I can drivewhat the you know the best in
the world are doing that laterthat day or the next day, um, so
I kind of what jason said is,as long as they have the real
tracks, I'm all I'd, I'd get inthere and rip a lap or, you know

(42:25):
, a couple laps or a race onthat would you say it was troll
mountain or I forget what it was.
Um, I'm sorry, it looks like.
It looks like a banger of atrack, like good flow, high
speed track.
The visuals are badass, you know, with the mountains and the
bridges and the tunnels changesyeah elevation change, you know,

(42:48):
just, you know, uh, camberchange, uh, which is cool,
because it's hard to find atrack that's that visually
stunning all the way around it.
You know every track's got a.
You know a track that's thatvisually stunning all the way
around it.
You know, every track's got a.
You know a portion that's cool, that cool, but the whole
track's pretty bad-ass.
Um, but I'd be curious to seeif you could get statistics on
how popular that track getspicked to race on.
You know, if you're justrunning laps by yourself offline

(43:12):
, how many times are peoplepicking a virtual track versus a
real track?

Erick (43:16):
Yeah, so I can tell you in the daily races, every week
Grant Turismo comes up withraces with specific setups,
tracks, cars, and trial mountainis kind of controversial
because, if I'm not mistaken, itis the most used track for
their daily races.

(43:36):
So there are so many tracksthat I mean there are so many
times that they've used trialmountain that people are almost
like every time they see it likeoh well, we got thorny race oh
really, so they're overusing ityeah, well, I mean, yeah, that's
you know.

Jason (43:54):
I, I agree, guys.
I mean honestly having, uh,having all the tracks and
everything and then putting in.
You know, I'm still thinkingabout this.
I'm sorry, I'm just.
The only thing I'm upset aboutis that Gran Turismo keeps
adding and updating and addingcars.
But they're not really addingcars, they're adding trucks, you

(44:16):
know, and buses and all kinds.
Eric, come on man, come on bro.

Jeff (44:24):
It's kind of cool to do a lap or two, but how many, how
many races are they doing withthose things?
You know, and they're likethey're putting effort and
energy in there.

Jason (44:29):
No, it's the daily race, bro, that everybody's doing that
like really yeah, it's like thehighlight.
The daily race is kind of likefor people like you and I jeff
like hey, you don't have thatmuch time and you want to jump
in.
All right, what's the dailyrace, gotcha, that everybody's
signing up to do?
And they got a freaking Honda.
What is it?

Jeff (44:49):
Box truck Chinese food delivery truck.

Jason (44:54):
I think it's got like three gears or something, I
don't know.

Erick (44:59):
Yeah, that was rough.
You're always nervous wheneverthey come out with a new set of
cars, because they come out withsomething like almost every
month, and this past month theycame out with um, they came with
three cars.
One of them was, uh, like, Ithink like the r34 skylight r34
skyline.
Yeah, yeah, it was.

(45:20):
It was one of them.
People were kind of actuallypretty happy with that, but they
didn't do a race because theydo like three daily races and
then they do two time trials.
So they had the Skyline as oneof the time trials set up.
Kind of cool.
But you're nervous because theymight throw a whole race in

(45:41):
there where you're racingambulances down the road in
Tokyo.
You never know.
Oh, you did say something aboutan ambulance which is kind of
and I mean it's yeah, iracingGran Turismo, two different

(46:01):
beasts, uh, very separate, veryvery separate and I'll say this,
I'll say this for Gran Turismoif you love I wouldn't even say
if you love racing if you lovecars, gran Turismo is more your.
I think that'll be more your, your bag, because of the amount

(46:23):
of effort they put intorecreating the cars and just
exposing you to different carsfrom different manufacturers and
their history too I love that, the history, I love that.
I like reading about a websiteyou can go to yeah and see the
history of all the differentcars, the manufacturers.

Jason (46:39):
It's very Japanese, which you know I'm a huge fan their
vision is yeah, you see theirvision out the gate.

Erick (46:47):
They don't waver from it.
But it's so well done, eitheryou like it or you don't.
But you can't say it's not welldone.

Jason (46:57):
This isn't a shot, but sometimes I will turn Gran
Turismo on downstairs on my 80inch OLED which Beautiful,
beautiful and I'll just put likean RX-7, which is one of my
favorite cars, and I'll put thescapes.
What is it called, eric?
The scapes or the yeah.

Erick (47:18):
Yeah, that's either the scapes or if you just go to the
garage.

Jason (47:21):
Yeah.

Erick (47:21):
You just sit in the car.

Jason (47:22):
Like bro.

Erick (47:23):
Do engine notes and stuff .
It's kind of cool.

Jason (47:25):
They showcase the car driving around and taking turns
and driving in the rain and theygot like music in the
background.
It's kind of cool.

Erick (47:37):
Yeah, yeah.
So what I got going is actuallyone of the escapes on my rig.
I don't know if you guys cansee it.

Jeff (47:45):
Yeah, it's pretty dope.
I can see the cars.
It's a sweet livery you got.

Erick (47:49):
Yeah, yeah, you know one of those custom ones that didn't
cost us no money to do, butanyway.

Jason (47:56):
You see, I try to be nice bro, I try.
But he fires back.
He fires back.
This has been going on for over15 years.
I hope you guys know Almost 15years.

Erick (48:10):
No, so that's a shot at LMU with them charging money oh
yeah, absolutely, you got to paythe subscription due to custom.

Jason (48:15):
Oh, I was about to say man, don't be talking about my
top shotta and all those skinsthat we'd be doing.
But oh but, but these are 100,you know, custom skins or
whatever.
I'm over here trying to pull upthe scapes on the damn freaking
um yeah, man.

Erick (48:32):
So this is like I say if you just like, like cars, you
know this is dope, but that's um.
Yeah, I think you know thevirtual tracks are fun and you
know it's nice to have, nice tohave options.
I'll say that.

Jason (48:46):
All right, well, speaking of Well, we're going to have to
skip track of the week again.
I mean, we have been justtrying to catch up on news and
everything.

Jeff (48:57):
And I want a banger of a banger of one in the hopper here
.

Jason (48:59):
So eventually we'll get to it we do, and that's the
thing is.
The one that's coming up isvery detailed, so it's going to
be.
I want to give it the respectand time of day for it.
So, speaking of the top shot,mr Neal, we actually got a
question in from him and thiswas almost directed to you, mr

(49:23):
Neal.
We actually got a question infrom him and this was almost
directed to you, mr Kelly.
So would you like to cover this, or should I Let me know?
I'll let you decide.

Erick (49:32):
No man, I'll take the honor of reading the top shot of
this question.
Man, all right, so I'm going togo ahead and share, because
he's got a picture or two inhere.
So he says uh, hello, gents ofthe chicane podcast, neil, here
the top shot.

Jason (49:50):
Yes, sir, the top shot.

Erick (49:53):
Um, he says uh.
On your last episode you werediscussing the difference, the
different base shakers available.
This may be more for Eric likediscussing the different bass
shakers available.
This may be more for Eric like.
In my comments on the lastpodcast.
I found that the Aura Sound dida better job than the Dayton
Audio did, as I own both.
I've attached some pics of mysetup, but I really want to
switch over to the Slip Anglekit, the setup that

(50:16):
SimRaceAndDen has reviewed inone of his videos.
Shout out to Mikey.

Jason (50:21):
Big Mikey.

Erick (50:22):
Yeah, yeah, he says I currently have the rubber wheel
casters that came with myprofile aluminum rig uh for I
racing, which is my main sim.
I'll put the lfe out to my rearshakers and use the sim hub to
mix the others.
Reason being is that sim hubhas a slight delay.
So I use the I racing's outputfor instant uh and use the sim

(50:43):
hubs for bleed off.
Sim hub is great for left toright, front to back, isolation
over curbs feels awesome.
The trick to these is, when youhave multiple shakers is
phasing them correctly.
With my audio engineeringbackground it's easier to
understand, as these arebasically speakers.
Small flex, that's what's up.
He says so, depending on whichway, the angle, which way they

(51:06):
angle, you may end up phasing, canceling them out of each other
.
Reversing the positive, negative wiring fixes this,
therefore nulling the effects.
It also helps to tweak thefrequency range to maximize them
to get the greatest output.
I've attached some pics ofmyRacing, sim hub and hardware.
But never mind the wire, mess, fate, uh, please, uh, great work

(51:27):
again, fellas.
So shout out to neil the topshots again, one for the info
and the comparison, um, but alsofor the pics, because when I
first started looking at this Iwas like man neil's got all this
experience, he knows what allthe you know how, knows how to
set the phases between all theface shakers and all this stuff.
I wonder what his SimHubsettings look like, and he

(51:52):
included them down here.
But just take a look at thepicks that he has here.
So he has the knob sound amphere, which is the same one I
have.
I assume that's going to theDayton Audio.
He has the knob sound amp here, which is the same one I have.
As soon as going to the daytonaudio.
Uh, he has the power base.
Uh, looks like amp here as well, sitting on top of a sub.
And so this is the dayton audio, next to the aura sound, which

(52:15):
they have a very similar shape, which I think is probably more
common than the butt kickershape.
That's what it seemed likeanyway, but he does have both.
He's compared them.
So he's got one mounted here, looks like under the seat, and
he's got another one mountedhere to the left, looks like

(52:36):
another R sound.
So you got the wind going there.
Houston, phil pedals, okay.
So he's got two there in theback.

Jeff (52:45):
All right and daddy says bro that's dope, so okay, so he
has his bass sector settingshere, and let me see so I got a
question for you, gentlemen, ifmaybe you guys can help figure
it out here Does it matter ifyou mount them the way Neil has

(53:08):
or if you rotate them 180degrees?
See how he has them shooting upand down.
Oh, you mean, if you set them?

Erick (53:17):
up like this, right, so I would not do that.
Um, because of the friction, just the way that they're
designed to move yeah, becausethey're going up like up and
down or something yeah, and ifyou tilt them on their side, um,
I was reading in reddit somepeople saying that they were
having like overheating issueswith them.
Okay, yeah, but you know, Iobviously I think your settings

(53:44):
come into play as well, but Ithink that kind of the way
they're designed to sit ishorizontal.

Jeff (53:51):
That's my I gotta find some brackets like that.

Jason (53:56):
Neil, hit us up with the links, bro, I'm gonna have to.

Erick (53:59):
Yeah, yeah, definitely hit us up with that, cause that
ain't 3D.
No, it's not.
I was thinking I got thatbecause that ain't 3d?

Jeff (54:02):
no, it's not.
I was thinking I got him.
I was like, oh three, no, I hadthree, three different.

Erick (54:05):
This thing yeah because I'm like yeah, this uh that
looks like a custom botsomewhere.

Jeff (54:12):
I'm sure a couple google searches can figure it out yeah,
I have to circle to search it.
Neil clean setup.

Jason (54:21):
Yeah, hit the X man.

Erick (54:26):
Good looking rig, so he definitely has more shakers than
.

Jeff (54:30):
I have Damn.
He's got one, two, three, four, five or six, Six.

Erick (54:35):
Yeah, he's got six channels going.

Jeff (54:39):
Oh no, Channel four is not used.

Jason (54:44):
Oh okay, it's off.

Erick (54:45):
Okay, yeah, just the five my man is seat, and then the
four corners haptic feedbackking right now.

Jason (54:48):
Look at him.
So that's pretty cool he's gothim.

Erick (54:52):
They're floating on them.

Jeff (54:53):
Yeah, he's got his front ones are abs, which makes sense,
right?
Um, so you want your feet tofeel that abs and then all of
them fire for gear shifting, andthen road impact for the front,
engine vibrations for the rearand the seat.

Jason (55:12):
Okay, this was never this easy.
This layout right here.
This is modern as hell.

Erick (55:20):
I hope you know this was never like this, never just
saying it sounds like you'vebeen traumatized oh yeah, trying
to set up stuff in the past.

Jason (55:29):
And then I hear and then some people tell me that that
just I'll let it go, I'll let itgo well, thanks for sharing the
uh your settings there's goingto save me.

Jeff (55:40):
That's a good idea.
I only have two, yeah, not likefive or four here, like my man
Neil, but good looking rig dude, yeah.

Jason (55:49):
Hell yeah bro.

Erick (55:50):
I got to get my weight up .

Jason (55:51):
I wanted to show you the scapes.
So there's the Porsche.
Oh nice, you see it's justgoing around, it's like B-roll.
Yeah, exactly, yeah, it's likeB-roll, and then it it'll switch
to.
It should switch to anotherscene or angle, yeah, but then

(56:11):
it'll go somewhere else, likearound the world.
It'll go to like a parking lotthat's pretty cool.

Jeff (56:16):
Man just put that on and you know in the background it
was just as you're gettingdinner going, or something.

Jason (56:21):
You can do that with any car in the game.
That's pretty dope, yeah.
So if you want a centerpiece orsomething cool for a room or
something, get a PS5.
It looks amazing An.

Erick (56:34):
OLED.

Jason (56:36):
It looks best, for I'm just kidding.

Erick (56:39):
Hey, sony, sony, I promise you, if you sponsor us,
man, I'll get Jason to stoptrash talking.
I'm kidding.

Jason (56:48):
I'm like you probably missed it but I'm like I take
back everything I said.
I was drunk.
What are you talking about?

Erick (56:59):
yeah, no, I will.

Jason (57:00):
I will say this I'm telling you there, I have no
this pro, this preference.
I have no hate on gt7 or lmu,it is just not for me.
So, yeah, I cannot wait to readthe comments on this video.
Oh, it's gonna be becausethey're gonna come after me, bro

(57:21):
, I think, and I'll tell youwhat it's going to be crazy
Because they're going to comeafter me.

Jeff (57:23):
Bro, I tell you what.
It's a different tool, right?
There's a hammer for hittingnails and there's a stapler for
putting you know things thatrequire a staple.
It's not one's better than theother, they're just different.
Whatever one you like, who am Ito tell you to drive something?

Erick (57:38):
you don't like.
Look, I don't know how y'all doit in Hawaii, man, you better
hammer them staples.

Jason (57:43):
But listen, when you close the door I guess you put
it this way when you close thedoor or you sit in a rig, your
choice is your choice.
No one's watching you, no one'sjudging you.
So if you like something, thenrace the hell out of it, because
you're in the hobby, just likeI'm in the hobby, just like

(58:05):
Jeff's in the hobby, eric, everyone else.
So I'm just telling you as apersonal opinion that to me it
ain't worth $20.
I'll tell you that If it goesdown below $20, we might be able
to be in business.

Jeff (58:21):
All right, I got a question for you F124.

Jason (58:28):
Oh snap, oh no.

Jeff (58:32):
Oh man, you got to go.
Lmu, have to right.
I've never played LMU so I havenothing to compare it to.

Jason (58:38):
Put it this way LMU is nothing but a sim.
It's nothing but a track and acar.
With F1, you have a story mode,a career mode.

Jeff (58:50):
You have You're not going, here are you.

Jason (58:52):
The game has more.

Jeff (58:54):
Boy, you're going to fire some people up.

Jason (58:57):
This is quite a low blow, but, as you can see, I'm having
trouble deciding Right, I'mhaving trouble deciding the
silence is deafening All the F1slander.
Yeah, yeah.

Erick (59:10):
All the F1 slander.

Jason (59:11):
And then I hear these things I don't care how pretty
the shit looks.

Jeff (59:15):
You know what I mean Everybody looking good, and F1
don't even have a mouse.
I know man.

Jason (59:22):
Yeah, but I had problems with the mouse, with LMU too,
you know, because you have topress control.
Shift equals listen to me, youhave to press control.
Shift equals to adjust triplescreens, and I have to Google
this because it's not intuitive.
And then I'm trying to move themouse and the mouse is not
there and I'm like, okay, let merestart the damn game.

(59:42):
And then it appears and it'slike what kind of 1.0 is this?
Are you serious, you know?
So I mean, what are we doing?
It's a close tie.
It's a close tie, I mean.

Jeff (01:00:02):
LFU.

Erick (01:00:03):
Yeah, who's that worse for?
But why is it only me answering, hold?

Jason (01:00:08):
on, eric, come on, man, don't give me the excuse to I
can't even drive.

Erick (01:00:16):
I gotta pick the game.
I can actually drive it.

Jason (01:00:19):
Bro, I'm gonna ask you.
I'm gonna follow up.
This is unfair, bro.
I I'm going to follow up nextweek.
You better get this shit towork.
Yeah, follow up.
Hey, follow up man, somebodybetter get this thing to work.

Erick (01:00:29):
If y'all had these problems, man, hit us up in the
comments with suggestions.
I would like to drive it.
I mean, I played it.
The force feedback was great.

Jason (01:00:42):
Force feedback when it works, it's good.

Erick (01:00:47):
Yeah, it took a while to get it set up.

Jason (01:00:49):
But as soon as you turn the vehicle, yeah, no, no man,
that sucks.
As soon as I get on the curbs, like all kinds of stuff going on
, and I've tried a thousanddifferent settings.
So, guys, please send me thatGod tier setting that
everybody's using.
Please send it, send it, sendit, Take a screenshot, send it

(01:01:13):
to thechicanepodcasts atgmailcom.
But again, jokes aside, if youenjoy LMU, I'm happy for you.
You see how that worked outRoundtable guys, they got bars.
What did we forget to mention?
Now, this bashing on LMU, I'msorry.

Jeff (01:01:33):
We got to have fun with it , though I don't know man, when
we wrap this sucker up, I'mgoing to be running some cable
over here.

Jason (01:01:39):
He's been thinking.
Your brain is not even here, bro.

Jeff (01:01:45):
Your brain, this sucker up .
I'm gonna be running some cableover here.
He's been thinking your brainis not even here, bro, your
brain is on the bass shakers andwhere am I?

Erick (01:01:49):
why do you think I was?

Jason (01:01:49):
studying neil's settings I'm like, oh, he's got this okay
, all right, I got it about here, taking a screenshot of it
gonna run over and do it on myrig, but with that, so one quick
go ahead.

Erick (01:01:57):
I was gonna say what?
What are you gonna mount itwith as of?

Jeff (01:02:00):
right now.
I got it mounted sideways rightnow on the aluminum profile
side.

Erick (01:02:08):
Okay, straight to the.

Jeff (01:02:09):
Yeah, I'm eventually.
Straight on it.
Yeah, so they're mounted up anddown right now.
So, but the thing is is I wasgoing to do the seat, but then,
after they got here, like anidiot, I went and looked at my
seat and I have that, you know, the fuselage, the f1 style
fuselage that comes right up tothe seat.
So I'm gonna have to trim thatif I'm gonna put them, mount

(01:02:31):
them to the seat, which isideally what I think I'd like to
do.

Jason (01:02:35):
Oh yeah, but I want to use them tonight you know, you
know, a good idea is, instead ofhaving the shakers protrude
outwards, this way, you canalways mount them inside the rig
and protrude and just face eachother.

Jeff (01:02:50):
It'll be the same thing and yeah, you can put them
cleaner, like you don't have tohave them that's a tripping
hazard, neil.
You better be careful bro youalso actually think about that
jason just mountain them likeright underneath the seat but
inside it.

Jason (01:03:02):
Yeah, but facing in like this way Instead of it being
just pointing out like that.
It looks like a damn flyingsaucer, bro.
It looks like A hovercraft.
What is those rims that theyhave the spike on it?
It's like road rash.
You just ram with it, yeah.

Erick (01:03:19):
I'm curious.
I've seen a couple of peoplewith their shaker set up like
that, but it was likespecifically when they had them
doing like the slip angle set up.

Jason (01:03:28):
It could be heat too.
You know, maybe they don't cooldown as well and they want them
out in the open.
Could be that.

Jeff (01:03:34):
It's.
Another reason why I wanted toget it too is to take some you
know load, if you will, off thebass shaker or the butt kicker,
excuse me yeah, because you'renot getting rid of that, you're
just gonna hell no, I know youain't get well unless you get
motion and that's what's kind ofpreventing me?
From honestly.
Just you know we don't need tokeep talking about this, but I

(01:03:57):
did notice that you can only setup like on and offs with the
bass shakers.
You can't set frequencies.
Unless I'm missing something.

Erick (01:04:08):
Yeah, you got to go into the settings.

Jeff (01:04:10):
Okay, all right.

Erick (01:04:10):
Good the same thing for the yeah for the same stuff for
the shakers you can do for thebass shaker.

Jeff (01:04:16):
Okay, I'll take a look at it Good.

Jason (01:04:18):
Yeah, perfect, all right.
So, no, no, no, I'm gonna bedriving fast and breaking late
okay, later tonight no you'renot breaking nothing.

Jeff (01:04:28):
You're, you're, you're threading wire I'll be thinking
about driving fast and breakinglate yeah, man, I think think
today was a good episode.

Jason (01:04:41):
Don't hate me, just take you know what I will say this.
There's not a lot of peoplethat have the cojones to say
this live on the show.
I'm just being real with you.
In this current state, I don'tlike it.
Tomorrow I might change my mind.
So please, somebody show memind.

(01:05:01):
So please, somebody show me theway, somebody show me the way.

Erick (01:05:05):
So we got the follow-up.

Jason (01:05:07):
Get your tickets to the expo yes, get tickets to the oh
man.
30 days guys, 30 less than 30days.
Damn, I'm actually gettingnervous, you know.

Jeff (01:05:19):
I know I was thinking about that today, I'm like damn
it going to be pretty badass outthere.

Jason (01:05:23):
This is going to be badass, yeah, man.
So I get to see Eric and Idon't know man, we're going to
have a little bit.

Jeff (01:05:31):
That's wild that you guys have never met before.

Jason (01:05:33):
We always talked about having a smoke together like a
cigar and a drink.
You know, oh, yeah, drink.
You know, oh, yeah, oh, healready know that league of nine
.
Bro, anybody want to?
You know, donate one of thoseto us.
Uh, they're kind of expensiveright now.
I'm fine, but yeah, they taxthem on legal.
All right, guys.
Thank you so much, eric.

(01:05:54):
Jeff appreciate it.
Um, we'll, we'll continue tolook at lmu.
We'll, we'll give it anotherchance when they update and fix
it.
So with that, guys, have agreat start of your week, thank
you.
