Kennedy grew up in the 60s asthe modern environmental
movement took shape.
He worked at the NationalResources Defense Council and

He helped found the WaterkeeperAlliance.
He also led an environmentallaw clinic at Pace University in
New York Over the years.
Environmentalists look up tohim, especially for his crusade
to clean up the Hudson River.
However, his announcement thathe is running for president as
