Well, there's a funny storywith this one.
So whenever I learned thaty'all were on the podcast, it's
like ooh, you know I need todive into this new world of
colognes and perfumes, and so Ijust started doing research.
Y'all kind of guided me alongthe way.
This one just kept popping up,popping up, popping up and like

started.
I just dabbled with it with someof the 5ml testers and sprayed
it.
I'll be straight up and honestI did not like it at first but
my wife loved it.

Oh you know yeah, especially early on, when you
were paying retail and I waslike show me and, you know,
guide me in where we need topurchase these things at which

I'll say we would neverrecommend somebody go to a gray
market.

kind of end up there, yeah, hey,that's your own, on your own

does the gray market get theirstuff from?

so this is my understanding of it.
Could be I could be completelywrong here, but I'm going to try
to break it down as good as Ipossibly can.
So somebody like, let's say,versace, okay, has a buy-in
minimum that you have to meet.
Let's pretend I'm just makingthis arbitrary numbers I'm just
throwing out here.
But let's pretend it's ahundred bottles and a smaller

There's no way I can move ahundred bottles, but you have to
buy it at that allotment to getthe certain price to even be
welcomed into the party.
So what they'll do is they'llbuy the $100,000, but then
they'll go.
I can only move $30,000.
So then they'll sell $70,000 toa gray market place.

Okay, that's what I figured, and if that is correct,
then didn't the company maketheir money?

Yeah, they did it feels fair, then Well, the argument
for it and the reason why Chanelis so hard on it and I think
Dior is similar as well isbecause it lowers the perceived
value of the product.

oh, well, I mean definitely a sample, but with my
kind of personality it wouldprobably go to a buy.

I'd probably find a way to get that one, just to have yeah
, that was kind of me and likeyou were kind of saying you and
I kind of aligned and so it wasone of those.
As we smelled it throughout theepisode, I kept going this may
be my favorite zirjoff I've eversmelled and they make some
pretty good fragrances, but thatone it is kind of a cut above.

So it is extremely tempting,but I have, if it's above 300,
it's never going to buy it.

Oh, you know one thing you can really smell the citrus.

There is a peppery kind of spiciness to it.

That shocked me, just like the subtle bite, you know, in

I don't think either one of uslooked at the notes of this, but
does it seem like it's goingaquatic, which is fine for me?

I don't think it had aquatic in it.

The thing that was notable forme was I think it has ginger in
it Nigerian ginger, okay, andcinnamon as well.
This smells really good.

the clean citrus, but this isvery clean, smelling Carson's,

is so strong, you better do fouror five sprays of Aventus with

I honestly thought it was goingto be more generic than how it
smells, but it does smell reallygood.
So I think, for a fragrancelike this, you're right in that,
as you get older, this is justa clean, sharp fragrance.

feminine for you for it, forsure now okay that being said,
though, I could wear it, and inthe dry down it gets more
masculine.

Um, I was unashamed to do it,yeah, and ron was like boy,
that's a great fragrance.

I I didn't think it was feminine till I think we did the
second episode of it, oh, likea revisit of it.
When we did the revisit of it,yeah, because one of my friend,
audrey, she was looking for thistea fragrance and she smelled
it and she's like oh, that's it.
And then immediately I was likeI'm wearing a lady fragrance.

Yeah, I can definitely you know, but the citrus in there, yeah,
the citrus in there does kindof add something to it.
Ryan (44:29):
But hmm, yeah, I've stopped wearing girl on vetiver
after that lady in the coffeeshop, so that's why I'm going,
lady really, for real.
I haven't worn it in a lot.
No, oh yeah, I don't know ifit's because of herb or some
subconscious things.
