goal and failed?
Well, sure, we all have right.
We start off with the bestintent.
We're really going to do itthis time, but for some reason,
life just seems to get in theway and, before we know it,
nothing changes.
Our goal has eluded us onceagain.
Well, congratulations on takinga major step towards changing
(00:51):
this, a major step towards yourfuture success, by purchasing
this audio series.
I truly am proud of you fortaking this step.
See, many, many, many peoplesaw the information on it and
passed it by, but you decided toinvest in your future, and I
believe you're going to be very, very happy you did so.
(01:12):
Let me ask you something whatif you could identify the
factors that have held you backin the past and make sure they
never hold you back again?
What if we, once and for forall, could take all of the
obstacles out of your way so youcould finally reach those goals
, whatever they may be?
Would that be helpful?
Hi, I'm Terry L Fossum, and myentire life goal is to help as
(01:38):
many people as I can before Idie.
Quite frankly, I hope you'reone of them Now.
I'm proud to say that I was bornin the poorest city in the
entire United States of America, mcallen, located right on the
Mexican border, on the verysouthern tip of Texas.
Now, don't get me wrong.
I love my hometown, I love thepeople, I love the culture, and
(02:01):
the food is amazing.
But being a Texas-Mexico bordertown, things could get a little
rough.
When I was growing up downthere, drugs and gangs were
prevalent.
In fact, I found myself staringdown the barrel of an assault
rifle in my own back alley whenI was in middle school.
Imagine yourself for a minutebeing 14 years old in a dark
(02:25):
alley with someone pointing anassault rifle at your chest.
Not a great feeling.
That's when I was in middleschool.
When I was in high school, myfather was killed.
Before he died, one of theneighbors came up to him and
said I just want to make sureyou understand something Not a
single one of your boys willever grow up to be anything.
(02:49):
Wow, he was talking, of course, about my brothers and I.
So if you're looking for somesilver spoon always had it easy
guy to learn from, that's not me.
If you're looking for someonewho has been in the trenches and
had the hard knocks, overcomethe obstacles and has the
bruises to prove from.
That's not me.
If you're looking for someonewho has been in the trenches and
had the hard knocks, overcomethe obstacles and has the
bruises to prove it, I'm yourguy.
(03:12):
So the information in here isfrom literally decades of
failing and succeeding andfailing and succeeding and
failing again, and succeedingagain.
This isn't just knowledge Ilearned from books, though I've
certainly studied leadership andpersonal improvement for
decades as well from some of thebest people around the world.
(03:34):
No, this is from actuallyexperiencing it in leadership
positions in the business world, where I developed sales teams
around the globe.
The military, where I was anofficer in the United States Air
Force.
The philanthropic world, whereI've led and been on boards of
directors and have projectsaround the world.
Even in martial arts, where Iobtained my black belt in
(03:58):
Taekwondo.
This comes from a vast array ofexperience in many different
arenas, but a serious aha momentcame from a fact that I learned
about the US space shuttle frommy brother, mike.
That completely blew my mind.
It gave me a visual thatcompletely made sense to me,
(04:20):
something I wanted to researchand share with the world.
What's that mind-blowing fact?
Check this out.
Imagine a space shuttle launchor a rocket launch.
You might have seen it on TV,in the movies, in person.
Whatever the space shuttle, just before takeoff, would be
(04:41):
thrusting toward the sky withnearly 16 million horsepower of
force.
That's the approximate power of16 million horses all pulling
at the same time, and yet itgoes nowhere.
It can't go anywhere.
Have you noticed that T minus 5, 4, the main engines of the
(05:01):
space shuttle combined were allgoing at full force, but it's
just sitting on the launch pad.
See, something's holding itback.
Even with all of that powerthrusting it to the sky, with
the plan of going into space andtraveling at 17,500 miles per
hour, something more powerfulthan all of that is holding it
back.
So what is this massive powerthat's keeping this space
(05:25):
shuttle from reaching itspotential?
Eight relatively tiny bolts,that's it.
Eight bolts Only about fiveinches in diameter, hold it from
accomplishing anything butmaking a bunch of smoke and
steam while it's sitting thereon the countdown.
(05:45):
Now, a launch was an amazingsight.
The engines would scream at adeafening roar, the entire
shuttle would shake inanticipation, the ground would
quake as 12 billion watts ofpower attempted to propel this
5.5 million pound shuttle out ofour atmosphere.
And it sat there Until, at Tminus zero seconds, small
(06:10):
explosive charges were set offin those eight relatively tiny
bolts.
Explosive charges were set offand they were blown away.
They could no longer hold backthat thing that was meant to
soar.
It broke free of its bonds andaccomplished the mission that it
was meant to accomplish, and inso doing, it made a difference
(06:32):
in the world and inspiredmillions.
After working with peopleliterally around the globe, I've
become a student of what holdspeople back and then a teacher
of helping them through it.
Over 30 years of doing thisthree decades I've identified
(06:53):
the eight factors that seem tobe the biggest stumbling blocks
that kill people's dreams, killtheir hopes, kill their
aspirations the eight bolts thathold them back on their launch
pad, that keep them from soaringto the heights that they were
meant to soar.
Perhaps most importantly, I'vedeveloped the methods that help
(07:15):
them see the problem inthemselves, to help them get
through it.
And that's what this audioseries is all about Helping you
get past your obstacles tofinally break free, to achieve
the greatness that you weremeant to achieve.
Through this series, you'regoing to identify the bolts that
have held you back.
You're going to have strategiesto help you blow those bolts
(07:43):
forever so you can reach heightsyou never could have before.
Now, as you're listening, Ihighly recommend you take notes
if possible and anytime there'san exercise, please make sure
and do it.
You're not listening to thisseries just for the fun of it.
You want results, right, andyou'll only get those results if
you take the actions and feelfree to listen to it several
(08:05):
times.
You can only soak in so muchthe first time, and the second
time and the third time, andeach time you listen to it
you'll hear things you missedbefore.
Not to mention, each timeyou'll be at a different point
in your life, so you'll need tohear something in there.
You really needed to hear atthat moment, at that time.
(08:27):
And finally, as you're listeningto it, I'm going to ask a favor
of you.
Think of who else you know thatneeds this information.
We all know people who havethings that continue to hold
them back, things like fear andexcuses, people who have some
attitude challenges or maybeself-doubts or any of the other
(08:51):
bolts that you're going to learnabout here.
As their names come to you, dome a favor and write them down
and recommend this series tothem.
See again, it's my goal in lifeto help as many people as I can
before I die.
That's my life missionstatement, and I've spent
literally years developing thisseries for exactly that reason
(09:14):
To help people like me who mighthave gone through some
challenges be released fromthose bonds that have held them
back to fly and be free to reachtheir goals and their dreams
and their aspirations.
If you find this audio serieshelpful to you, I would
sincerely appreciate your helpin spreading the word.
(09:34):
But first things first.
It's time for you and I to goon a journey together a journey
of self-analysis, a journey ofknowledge, a journey of openness
, a journey of truth and, hopefully, a journey that will
have a major impact on your lifeand change it in a very
(09:55):
