Darrell Gooden has led such an interesting life, helping businesses and corporations become more heart centered, more conscious of their behavior, their values as a person and how that can help a business. This is why I call him the Corporate Healer.
About the guest: Sifu Darrell Gooden, Ph.D. is President and Head Master Instructor of the Mountain Institute for Kung Fu and Tai Chi, a non-profit organization. He has providing instruction to martial arts students from all walks of life, from at-risk youths to seniors in rehabilitation facilities and everyone in between. His classes are currently held at the Ojai Recreation Center. Classes offered include children and adults. The Mountain Institute for Kung Fu and Tai Chi has sponsored several field trips to Beijing China over the years. While in Beijing Sifu Darrell and his associates coached teams of Kung Fu students ranging from 74 years old to 7 years old. Most of his students won gold and a host of other medals. Sifu Darrell Gooden was inducted in the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2006. He describes the study of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts as learning to work hard, achieving peaceful confidence and being part of a community. The Ojai Kung Fu Club community inspires the student to be good citizens, virtuous, fulfilled, and engaged in their wellbeing. Sifu Darrell martial arts studies began in earnest, in the late 70s, while he was stationed at Kun San Air Force Base. In 2010 Sifu Darrell was promoted to the rank of Master, 8th degree by the Hang Ling Do Federation. His Title of Sigung means teacher of teachers. He has studied various martial art systems including Shotokan Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw, Wing Chun and familiarized himself with all the important movements in the martial arts, such as kick boxing and mixed martial arts. Sigung Darrell continues to be a student of the martial arts. He co-wrote and produced Self Defense for Everyone video program. Sifu Darrell holds several University Degrees: 1. Ph.D. Organization Transformational Studies, Adizes Graduate School 2. Master of Science Technology Management, Pepperdine University 3. Bachelor of Science Management Information System, University of Redlands.
