Our childhoods set the stage as it is the beginning of our programming and understanding of this world. Most of us were raised by parents who simply repeated the programming given to them. This is common as doing the internal work to heal, elevate awareness and consciousness are not mainstream, as that would be a threat to those who make the rules. For some of us it was frustrating, painful and we often suppress and bury memories of our youth as the mind protects itself. It is important to remember that as kids we were simply doing the best we could with the situation we were in. By examining our thoughts and patterns we can strategize mitigations and solutions. Sitting in meditation, reflecting on our childhood offers deep insight by getting to the root of many of our why’s. We are all dealt challenges in many forms, no one is immune. By digging deep and processing our youth unbiased and brutally honest, we bridge the gap to profound self-awareness and understanding. This process may be very uncomfortable, but the clarity it brings is worth its weight in gold.
