Jesus' entry into Jerusalem is a pivotal event in the life and ministry of Jesus and of every believer because His entry into Jerusalem signifies the fulfillment of His entire purpose of coming to earth, his journey towards the cross and His entrance into our hearts. Upon entering Jerusalem, His first act was to cleanse the temple however in the New Covenant, we, those who are believers are the temple.
It was because of pride that the enemy was kicked out of heaven. He then used pride to cause Adam's fall, so it is only fitting to point out how Jesus came to restore humility to mankind, for without humility before God, it is impossible to worship or serve Him.
