(00:07):
Hello and thank you for listening to the Contestiba
podcast. I'm Tatiana and joining me back
on my show is my dear friend andVedic astrologer, Anne Marie
Brown. Today we are talking about Joy
Tish, the science of Light, and how we can use learning about
the light of the Self as a tool for inner growth and guidance.
Anne Marie shares how your VedicBirth chart can offer key

(00:30):
planetary insights into our highest potential.
She explains why and how specific gemstones support
aspects of our planetary chart and how other sacred jewelry
items like the Dharma Tricona and the Three Metals Crea Band
have been carefully created to pacify or amplify our human
experience. If you'd like to learn more

(00:50):
about sacred jewelry, you can listen to episode #6 where Anne
Marie talks about the Rudraksha seed and the power of wearing
the Sri Yantra. I hope you enjoyed this episode
on Vedic Astrology and the Science of Light.
Please write a review or leave acomment, or you can follow me on

(01:15):
Thank you so much for coming back on my show.
It's so good to talk to you again.
Love having these conversations.Thank you for doing and you know
all of this stuff. Thank you so much for having me.
It's great to see you and be back.
Yay. So this time, well, it's OK.
So for listeners who don't know,Anne Marie has been on my

(01:35):
podcast before earlier on an earlier episode and we talked
about sacred jewelry. We specifically talked about
symbols, the Sri Yantra, the Srias a piece of sacred geometry
and how that affects the body and also the Rudraksha and why
the Rudraksha is a beautiful sacred seed, sacred bead that

(01:56):
many malas are made of. So if you want to listen to that
episode, you can. But today we're going to be
talking about Joy Tish jewelry and I'd love to begin with, but
you know, firstly, what is Joy Tish like?
Talk about that? What does it mean?
How is this the science of lightand how does it differ from
Western astrology? Beautiful.
So Jyotish essentially is the name for the type of astrology

(02:22):
that's practiced here in the East, and it's also known as
Vedic astrology. But the word Jyotish means the
science of light, and the purpose of Jyotish is to shine
light on aspects of the self that need to be seen.
So what happens at the moment ofyour first breath?

(02:42):
It's almost like there's a cosmic snapshot that's made or
like a blueprint of your soul, which reveals where the
different Rashis are within the 12 houses, and it reveals also
where the 9 planets are within the 12 houses.
So what happens is in that moment, it gives us an
understanding of, you know, where the energy is in this

(03:06):
individual's chart and it reveals actually what the
highest potential of being wouldbe for this individual based on
that energy. So it really can show, you know,
where there's a concentration ofplanets and energy and what
qualities somebody might embody, but it also shows us where some

(03:27):
of the karmic residue can be, which we can see also from
different placements of the planets.
So what happens is it becomes a very powerful tool for evolution
when you can actually have a reading with someone and really
see, OK, what is it that there'spotential for that I am not
stepping into? Or maybe I've had intuition

(03:49):
about this, but I've had fear toactually step in and embody it.
But when you know it's there in your chart, it actually gives
this sense of validation sometimes and gives this courage
to really step up and evolve. So we look at the birth chart,
but then we also look at different things called the
dasha, which are these differentplanetary cycles that happen

(04:11):
throughout our lives that bring different energy in.
So this is also an important aspect.
So when you ask what's the difference between Joe Tish and
Western astrology, the main thing is that it uses a
different measurement system, right?
So Western astrology uses the tropical system and essentially

(04:32):
your sign is determined by your son's sign, right?
So it's like everybody born on these between these dates are
Gemini or they're Leo, right? Whereas with Joe Tish, it's
we're using a system called the side reel system and it takes
into consideration your time, date and location of birth.

(04:54):
So it's actually individualized. So what happens is we look at
the constellation rising on the eastern horizon at that moment
of your first breath and that determines your rising sign
versus oh, you're born on these days.
So you are Leo. OK.
So it's a more individualized approach using a different

(05:16):
calculation system and it also takes into consideration many
more variables in Western astrology?
Yeah. And you know, and I just want to
talk to the point quickly about, you know, there's some Western
astrologers also do use your, you know, your location, time of
birth and and you know, locate that sort of stuff.
But speaking from personal experience and you've done my
chart, I've had my chart done byother joint tissue astrologers

(05:39):
as well. It really is like I'm a Cancer.
July 1st is my birthday but I can see like when I'm I.
It's interesting that how I haveso much more of Leo present in
my, my chart and talking about the dashes, like using, if you
want to use my chart as an example when you talk about
things, I'm totally cool with that because you know me, we're

(05:59):
friends and you know where I'm at in my life.
So like right now I'm I've entered a couple months ago
this, this new period, this timeframe of Rahu, right.
So maybe just breakdown, give some examples.
What, what is what are these like?
Because they're not, you know, they're nodes in the sky that
other astrologers. They're not necessarily planets,

(06:21):
but they're nodes or shadow planets that can affect us.
And I'd love for you to just expand on how when we look at a
person's chart, we really can enter and see you've been in
this phase of your life from this age to this age, or this is
what you're about to enter into and this might be why you're
experiencing these things or youknow, stuff like that.

(06:42):
Because that helps. I think people understand how
it's a much more individualized approach to to living one's life
or one's purpose, how things areapps written literally in the
stars. Yeah, it's a great question.
So we have the birth chart, right, which is essentially it's
fixed, right? This is where the energy is.

(07:04):
This is your cosmic blueprint, right?
But then we've got the dashas. Dashas, we can compare it to
different seasons in life, right?
So each planet has a certain cycle called a dasha, and there
are different amounts of years. OK.
So like for instance, Saturn is a long period, Jupiter, Rahu,

(07:25):
these are all long periods, Venus.
But then you've got periods likeSun, Moon, Mars, these are all
shorter periods that are less than 10 years.
So what happens is throughout our lives, we run these
different planetary cycles and they play a big role in the here
and now. So whether it's, you know, when
you're a child, if you're in Mercury, Dasha, you know, you're

(07:47):
an adult, you're in Venus, but it's impacting the here and now
and that moment in your life. So what happens is there's this
like over, there's this underlying energy and it becomes
normalized during that period oftime.
And it plays a big role on the influence of what is manifesting
in your life at that time. So there's some Dashas that are

(08:09):
believed to be more favorable than others.
And it always depends to where the planet is placed in your
chart. But some can feel a little bit
more expansive and uplifting, whereas some might bring up some
karmic residue. But at the end of the day, no
Dasha is a bad dasha because they all have different lessons
that we need to learn. But what's so powerful when we

(08:30):
sit with clients, like you just said, when you actually go
through and each reading, I'll say, OK, you were born into
Mercury Dasha, then you were in K2, then you were in Venus and
okay, now you're in Sun. But we talk about, So what
happened during this period? What happened during this
period? And a lot of times it matches
the energy of what that Dasha was.

(08:52):
So for instance, you're in Rahu right now, which is a longer
cycle and it's, I think it's around 19 years.
So Rahu and K2 are known as the North and South Node.
And they're, like you said, shadow planets.
They actually don't exist, but they're fascinating.
I'm very fascinated by Rahu K2. But essentially it's in the

(09:16):
shape of a dragon. And Rahu represents the head of
the dragon. K2 is the tail and Rahu
represents, you know, it's expansive, it's the element of
air. It's brilliant creativity, like
wild insight, visionary, like those ideas that arise where

(09:36):
you're like, I have no idea. Like I could have never thought
that It just arises because it'sit's coming from this space of
of Rahu energy. It can be really sharp
intellect. It could be starting something
and then it's spreading and reaching the masses on a high
level. It can be really incredible for
some people. It's a lot of movement.

(09:57):
It's travel, it's adventure. Because Rahu likes to have
experiences, right? There's like this certain flavor
there of like having experiences, you know, but on a
low value with Rahu, if you don't have a personal practice,
it can be a time for some peoplethat can be really ungrounding.
You know, they might feel like nervous system burnout or

(10:19):
anxiety. I kind of feel like it's
tornado. It's like, you know?
Like a creepy teenager. Yeah, exactly.
Yeah, it's always interesting when I see people who are in
Rahu at like from like age 18 and then like through their 20s
cuz you it's pretty, it'll be pretty obvious like what type of

(10:40):
experiences they had during thattime.
But yeah, so you have to have anawareness of the lower values
too. You know, sometimes low Rahu can
overindulge a bit or you know, it's like, it can be a little
bit of like just not having a sense of stability.
So with each Dasha, we talk about how to work with it and

(11:00):
align with it to its highest value so that you can actually
experience that energy really coming alive in your life.
You know, like for instance, if you're in Rahu and you're having
desire to move and experience, but like something inside you
was like, no, sit still, don't do that.
That's actually not the correct action.
Like you should take the correctaction to support your

(11:24):
embodiment of the energy of Rahu, which is like going out
and having experiences, if that makes sense, you know?
It makes total sense and you know, you, you know me and you
know my practice and I am so grateful that I have a grounded
practice because they do band how Rahu like he's, I mean,

(11:48):
there's definitely like massive expansive qualities to it, but
there's also crazy aspects to it.
So right now I'm working with Durga, the energy of Durga
because that like all the other things that are also that have
also come up in my chart that really helped me support me with
fearlessness and courage and, you know, keep me grounded and,
and direct, literally direct so I can take the correct course of

(12:10):
action that's aligned with whereI'm at right now.
And that's what's really beautiful people who are open to
doing certain practices, which we call upayas.
You know, we prescribe remedies for each dasha and for different
things in the chart. And one of them is mantra and
working with the different ishtas.
And that's really powerful for helping you to align to the

(12:31):
highest value of that period. So I'm happy that you are doing
that. Thank you.
And Ishta is a deva is a is a deity.
So just for people who aren't sure what that is, what are some
other remedies? Then talk about what are the
gems and how do they relate? Like why are they so important?
Yeah. So when we look at the remedies,

(12:53):
one of the remedies or upayas would be gemstones.
So each planet is associated with different precious
gemstones and semi precious, butit's most favorable to work with
the precious gemstones. So with the gemstones, they act
like a like a supplement. It's like taking a supplement of

(13:16):
that planetaries that planet's energy and its qualities.
So it's like, you know, you're taking a vitamin because you
want vitality, you know, or thisor that.
So essentially you are wearing the gemstone to enliven those
qualities in your life. So each planet is associated
with different gems and then each finger is associated with a

(13:39):
planet. So like, for instance, I have on
yellow sapphire right here on myJupiter finger, which is the
index finger. So it's important that you're
wearing the gemstone on the correct finger.
And they're set in a way where there's no metal between the gem
and the skin. So what happens?
And it's acting like a conductor, right?

(14:02):
It's magnifying the energy. So I'm wearing a Jupiter stone.
So it's drawing the energy of Jupiter through the field,
through the gem, and into my vibratory field.
And what are the aspects of Jupiter that I'm aligning myself
with? It's expansion, creativity,
wisdom, joy, vitality, right? So these are all values then

(14:25):
that are enlivened in my field and so each.
Gem question about that. Some people may say, Oh my gosh,
like why do I need to have a even though you've already
explained it, a lot of people goto oh, the cost.
Do I really need to have a a fancy gem because they're not

(14:45):
cheap. Like some of them are diamonds
and blue sapphires and rubies and emeralds.
And you'll talk about those in amoment, but these are typically
gemstones that we immediately goto as being really like
expensive, you know, in cost. So it just would love for you to
quickly before you get into the rest break down this like
because I think yes, there's cost is associated with it and

(15:07):
also the type of metal that it'sset in.
However, if you can get beyond that financially for yourself,
the benefits are huge, you know,and it's, it's not a, it's not
in your head. It's not like a, a fake thing
that you're just trying to sell sapphires to people.
You know you're not a gem dealer.

(15:30):
Yeah, So I can relate to this because even when I bought my
first gemstone, I, I bought an emerald, you know, because I was
first prescribed emerald and it was a really big deal to go out
and buy myself an emerald ring. You know, we're so used to
getting, you know, jewelry as gifts and this and that or, you

(15:50):
know, it being passed down from family.
So, you know, it took a moment for me to actually really
understand why I was buying it. And I remind people of this, you
know, you can't really look at it like just a piece of jewelry.
You're essentially making an investment in your own
evolution. And the gemstone is a support

(16:13):
tool for your evolution. So you know, you're essentially
making an investment in yourself.
And yes, the prices for fine jewelry for precious gems can
become expensive, but it's important that you hold out and
get a gem that is of that is of good quality.
Because for Jotus gems to be supportive, they have to be

(16:35):
natural, they have to be unheated, right?
And they have to be undrilled. So a lot of times some people
will be like, oh, I found a Rubyfor $100.
And I will say, well, that's notpossible.
You know, a natural Ruby of two carrots that's good quality will
not cost $100. And a lot of times they'll go

(16:55):
and check and it's heated, right?
Or like some gems, like the deeper the color of the gem
often times shows that the quality is higher because it's
been in the Earth longer. So, you know, this is how the
prices start to vary. It's based on the quality.
But it's very important that youare making an investment in a

(17:15):
gem that's going to be supportive versus trying to like
find something that's lower priced that isn't even a
supportive Jyotish gemstone. So I always just tell people to
really look at it as an investment, you know, and you
know, some people even do the math like, Oh, my vitamins cost
this much per year. If I look at this as also a

(17:38):
supplement, because essentially it is just in a different way,
then you can sort of understand in a from a different
perspective of of why it's a good decision.
Yeah, I I like that approach. And just how because you don't
wear your emerald anymore. I I know I've known you for like
many years now. You alternate, sometimes you
wear it. What would the effects that you

(18:00):
witnessed within yourself becameaware of when you started to
wear the emerald years ago? Yeah, so, so I will tell you why
I was prescribed Emerald. So before I had this life in
India, I lived in Los Angeles and I had a very full life and a
full career in sales. I was in medical sales.
I was driving in the car all day.

(18:23):
I was moving from here to here, you know, completely ungrounded.
My nervous system was just shot. You know, my nervous system was
on the cusp of getting really sick or just having some type of
meltdown. So when I had my first reading
with our teacher Anand, and he looked at my chart and we had

(18:44):
seen that I had recently gone into Mercury Dasha.
So I think I had been in Mercuryfor one year at that point.
And so Emerald's the gemstone for Mercury, right?
And so also one of the positive effects of Emerald is that it
helps to calm the mind and helpsto support the nervous system.

(19:06):
So at that time I started wearing it mainly, you know, for
that support for my nervous system.
And almost immediately I could tell a difference.
And it really helped me too, to focus and concentrate on myself,
care and my practice and my meditation.
And I could feel my mind become enlivened and my linear
organizational skills, you know, activated in a way they hadn't

(19:30):
been activated before. I wore that emerald, and I still
wear it once in a while. But I find now living in India,
my lifestyle is different. It's very satvik, very peaceful.
I don't necessarily need to wearit all the time anymore because
I'm mainly teaching. But when I have to run my
businesses, sometimes I'll just put my emerald on if I need to
focus. Now, that's not how everybody

(19:53):
needs to use the gems. We usually recommend people to
wear the gem all the time because it's actually then
keeping that energy in your field.
So you should even wear it whileyou sleep as well.
You know, talking from the perspective of someone who's not
familiar with any of these practices or, or the gems or
anything, often there's, there'sskepticism, you know, around,

(20:16):
you know, Are you sure you're not just believing that?
But you know, it's been it's been years since you first wore
your MRI, so. Yeah.
What are the other stones and what fingers do we wear them on?
I just spoke about Jupiter. So yellow sapphire is for
Jupiter. That's always worn on the index
finger. And then we have Ruby, which is
worn on the Sun finger. So that's the ring finger.

(20:39):
So Ruby is the gemstone for the Sun, right?
So what is the purpose of the Sun?
It's to shine. It's to give life vitality.
So essentially when you wear Ruby, it actually enlivens that
inner light, that light of consciousness and that light of
the humble leader. So it can bring this vitality in
this radiance. It can also bring some heat.

(21:02):
You know, some people it's really good for who have low
vitality. And the Ruby can also really
help with self-confidence because one of the lower values
of the sun is like this inner self sabotage or self worth
issues, right? This is a low, low sun quality,
but high Sun is confident and shines bright.

(21:23):
So the Ruby can really help people to stabilize in that and
be less insecure as well. And then we've got the middle
finger. So the middle finger can be for
both Saturn and Venus. So the Saturn gem is blue
sapphire, which is so beautiful. And you know, Saturn is the

(21:45):
planet of more inward meditativeenergy.
It's the slowest moving planet, and it really represents living
a life of Dharma and moving fromkarma to Dharma and establishing
in a more purposeful way of living.
So that the blue sapphire tends to be a very spiritualizing

(22:06):
gemstone for people. And we actually only recommend
it to people who are strong practitioners of meditation who
are already on some type of spiritual path because that's
when it'll be most supportive. And then Venus, of course, Venus
is the planet of love, of beauty, of art and creativity

(22:26):
and all the good stuff and abundance.
The highest expression of Venus is devotion.
So Venus gemstone can either be diamond or white sapphire.
Diamond can be very expensive. So I have found that a lot of
our clients choose white sapphire because it's just as
powerful and the price is lower. Most people like it because they

(22:48):
can get a bigger stone. Yeah.
So we wear that on the middle finger as well.
And that energy becomes enliven, like really feeling into that
creative, you know, fluid, artistic, juicy, you know, play,
like the delight. This life is meant to be
enjoyed, you know, And a lot of people forget, forget that that

(23:11):
that particular aspect of life is meant to be enjoyed, you
know, So the Venus energy can really help to enliven that.
It's also good for relationships.
And then we spoke about emerald, which is worn on the pinky.
Again, Mercury is the planet foremerald and it is communication,
leadership, abundance, and also, like I said, supportive for the

(23:36):
nervous system and to calm the mind and focus the mind.
For the moon, we wear Pearl, obviously.
So it's so I love the Pearl, thenatural Pearl.
That's important cause a lot of people, I just had someone write
to me today about a black Pearl and we want to wear a natural
Pearl like an ivory Pearl. But that's just really tapping
in with that luminosity of the moon.

(23:58):
You know, that healing energy, that water energy, that
nurturing energy. So the for the moon, it can be
worn on the pinky. Most people wear it on the
pinky, but the Pearl just feels really gentle, you know, 'cause
The thing is, the moon is the most absorptive planet.
So for some people it's really important to wear a Pearl.

(24:19):
If maybe their moon is what we call afflicted.
That means that the moon is maybe absorbing energy in the
chart that is not supportive. So that can really help balance
it. And then we've got Mars.
So Mars represents passion, vitality, staying power,
service. So the gemstone for Mars is

(24:41):
coral. So we usually recommend Japanese
coral. It's red, red in color.
And usually a bigger stone is good, but that really helps to
also give vitality. It's very good for health.
It's very good for just activating like passion.
And again, it's it's a little bit more of a fiery stone and
that can be worn on the ring finger or the middle finger for

(25:02):
Mars. And then we've got Rahu and K2,
so and these two I are the ones I least prescribe or make rings
for. But for Rahu it is Hessenite, so
which is actually a beautiful like brownish colored stone and
that can be worn on the middle finger.
But it's again, the Hessenite isgood for like creativity and

(25:26):
also enlivening intuition. And then K2's stone is cat's
eye, which is actually really beautiful because it literally
looks like a cat's eye and. What color is the cat's eye?
It's almost like a silverish white, but then it has a line
through the middle of it. Like it?
It really looks like a cat's eye.

(25:47):
It's really beautiful. Like, the line through the
middle is kind of a brown color. But the cat's eye is actually a
very intuitive stone. You know, when you wear it, it
can really activate intuition because K2 energy is more
intuitive, internal, and it's very spiritual.
It represents moksha and liberation.
So the cat's eye most often is worn on the pinky.

(26:08):
I think I've covered all of them.
Right. Yeah.
Yeah, I think you have. And one of the things that I you
just, I shouldn't say one of thethings, one of the new designs
that you're offering or that you're working with clients with
is the Dharma Tricona. So can you just explain what
that is? Obviously I'm, I'm wearing 1.

(26:30):
You recommended the stones. There it is.
I'm also wearing a Pearl, the natural pole.
Beautiful, good, very good for you.
Why would somebody wear a DharmaChicano?
Firstly, what does that mean? I'd love to answer this
question. So when we look at the Joe Tish
chart, we prescribe the gemstones based on what we call

(26:53):
the Dharma houses. So the first house, the 5th
house, and the 9th house in the chart represent the Dharma
stanas. Stana means house.
So these are the ones that we want to strengthen with a
gemstone. So it's not even necessary about
what Dasha you're in. Like if you're in Rahu, I
wouldn't say go get a Hasanite stone.

(27:15):
I would say do the Durga practices right.
You know, So what we prescribe the gems based on this, the
house 1-5 or nine, each of thesehouses, they all play a role in
supporting you in living a life that's darmic, like living a
life of purpose, living a life that's in flow where you feel

(27:36):
that the universe is actually just working through you.
That's our ultimate goal is to experience life in that way
because that's when we're in theflow state.
So when we actually strengthen these houses, it helps somebody
really up level their energy andup level their alignment.
When I'm doing a reading for somebody, for instance, a Leo,
you're a Leo, I'm Leo. So for us, the gemstones that

(28:00):
would be most supportive would be Ruby, it would be yellow
sapphire and red coral, and these would be gems that you
wear all the time. I never take my yellow sapphire
off. So that's how we prescribe the
rings now. I decided to create the Dharma
pendants because AI realized notall people want to wear a Joe

(28:22):
Tish ring or maybe can't afford it.
But I wanted to create somethingthat's still held that energy
and felt like a support tool forthem to really step into their
evolution. So we made the Dharma pendants
for each of the signs. So each of the signs of the
Zodiac, the Rashis. So there's 12 different signs.

(28:44):
So yours, as you see at the point for Leo rising has the
Ruby and then the 5th house would have the yellow sapphire
cause Sagittarius is placed there in your chart.
And then the 9th house, which isin the other corner would be
where Aries is. And then that is where the coral

(29:04):
is because coral is the gemstonefor Aries.
So we've now activated that energy.
So the Dharma pendant's a reallysupportive way to keep you
connected to that and to keep you connected to that intention.
And also the triangle energetically brings the energy
up, because our intention is to lift the energy, lift our life

(29:27):
force up to the third eye so that we can live a life in
alignment with our intuition. I I have to say I've been
wearing this since when? Like August, July.
Or August. Yep, Yep.
So more than six months now and,and as you know, there's been
like some serious transformationin my life.
Like so I could, I could really feel almost immediately how

(29:53):
energetically my body, the shifts and how I couldn't
actually embody this support. You know, it's been quite
radical actually for me and, andI, it sits, you know, right up
my neck and I love it. It's amazing.
You know, I just, I actually take it off.
And then recently I was feeling like I needed to just add the

(30:14):
Pearl just because I was feelinglike I just needed that
balancing out from the support of the moon.
And I, I have this really beautiful natural Pearl.
So I've been wearing that. But OK, so I love all of that.
How long will you need? Will somebody need to wear this
pendant? And then how, what about which
hand? Do we?
Does it matter which hand we wear our rings on?

(30:35):
Yeah. And I just wanted to say
back-to-back on to your comment.I had someone also write me the
other day who just got one of the pendants and she said every
time I put it on things fall into alignment.
Like she could visibly tell the difference.
And I love hearing that cuz that's just, it's not like it's
something I'm trying to sell or anything like that.

(30:56):
It's knowledge that comes from the scriptures, so of course
you're gonna feel in alignment, you know, it's this knowledge
comes back from thousands of years, so.
Well, it's super powerful. It's super powerful.
We wanted to me to talk about the hands.
Yeah, doesn't matter what hand we.
Wear in general, you can wear the gems on either hands, but

(31:16):
the right hand typically represents the more outgoing
energy, So what we're putting out, whereas the left hand
typically stands for the more inward energy.
So when we prescribe, we usuallyprescribe on the right hand.
I personally wear my yellow sapphire on my left hand cause
intuitively it felt better there, which makes sense for me

(31:38):
because I'm, you know, the I'm teaching and it's really
important that like my inner world and my inner connection is
in alignment in order for me to actually show up and share and
uplift other people. So, but generally we prescribe
for the right, but that's kind of most people ask that question
and it's a, quite a simple answer.

(31:59):
I think a lot of people are looking for a deeper answer, but
it really is just external and internal energy.
Yeah. And that makes total sense
because honestly like the left hand is the hand that we
receive, we bring in when I work, you know, with energy, the
left hand is we're bringing in and the right hand is the
sending hand where we're moving the energy through us.
So that totally totally get the fact that that why you would

(32:20):
wear that important for people to.
Understand it's important everybody asks that.
Yeah, and, and you can intuitively feel it, like you
can actually feel, oh, no, this resonates.
I need to be wearing it on this hand or that hand.
It was like when I got my the three metal, the three metal,
right. It was my left thumb.
It was, it was like, and it's been on there.

(32:41):
I don't know how many years ago did I get that?
It was a while like 5 or 6 yearsago, maybe more.
I wear it every day. I have not taken it off.
And can you maybe just talk a little bit about the the three
metals, why this is important and actually how it's a bangle
and then where that comes from? Yeah.
It's an important part of the astrological puzzle.

(33:04):
So essentially I'll just show you guys here you're.
Wearing the three metal bangle. 3 metal bangle, yeah.
So this can be called an astrological bangle or a crea
bangle. But in the book Autobiography of
a Yogi, which is written by Paramahansa Yogananda, his guru
Shriyuk Deshwar says to him one day, it's in chapter 13 for

(33:28):
those who want to read it, but he basically foresees some type
of negative effect coming to Yogananda that is a negative
planetary effect and it's a negative karmic effect.
And he prescribes to Yogananda to get a bangle made of copper,
silver and gold, which are specific weights for each metal

(33:51):
and to wear that to help offset the negative planetary
influences. So Yogananda does this and a few
weeks later he has some type of health issue arise.
I can't remember what it is. Maybe it's a kidney infection or
something like this, but he heals from it.
And Sri Yukteshwar basically says, do you see?

(34:12):
You know, if if you hadn't been wearing that bangle, the karmic
effect of this illness would have had a different outcome.
So essentially this bangle is very supportive for just helping
to offset negative planetary influences because they're
happening a lot. You know, we have different,
we've got our birth chart, whichwe call the Natal chart.

(34:34):
Your birth chart is your Natal chart that's fixed, but also in
the here and now there's transits happening.
And actually in this moment thatwe are talking, we're in the
middle of all the transits or the major transits are about to
shift. But that's a whole other
podcast. So essentially, though, the
Bengals really supportive to wear that so that it can offset

(34:56):
that energy if maybe that energyisn't going to be so supportive
in your life. The other thing that it does is
it helps to strengthen the aura, strengthen the electromagnetic
field. It's very supportive for people
who are meditators or people whopractice kriya because it helps
to ground the energy. Wearing any, any heavy metal

(35:17):
will help ground the energy because we want to stay grounded
and in the earth. We can't be too airy or else
it's hard to move throughout this reality.
So it helps to grow the energy. And then for people who work as
healers or teachers, it also helps to protect your field from
absorbing other people's energy. So the three metal bangle is

(35:39):
really powerful for anybody working and healing any
practitioner. And it's pretty incredible how
it you can feel it immediately when you put it on like these
three different. The medals represents the three
main channels of energy in the body, the ITA Pingala and
Shushumna Nadi. I've been wearing mine for I

(36:01):
think 8 years now. You I don't take it off.
And everyone I know who has one says that they've felt a
significant difference in their life since they put it on so.
It's crazy. They know, yeah, I know also a
lot of people who who wear one and and they and even people
who've had nervous system issuesor suffered from anxiety,
they're like, whoa. But even something like this

(36:23):
little ring, I literally never take it.
Occasionally take it off. I'm immediately I'm like, well,
it needs to be back on. So it's it's wild.
Yeah, because even the ring, youknow, it still is that formula.
It's just not the weight that was prescribed.
The weight that's prescribed actually is a is a secret
formula, and the person who makes our Bengals received that

(36:45):
formula directly from Yogananda's lineage through
Swami Kriyananda. But even the ring, though, even
though it's not that full weight, there's still similar
experience that it's had becauseit's a specific formula.
Many people tell me that the ring, you know, you can really
feel it when you're not wearing it.
It it makes a difference. Yeah, yeah.

(37:07):
No, they really do. This is like we know we're not
just kind of talk, you know, joking.
All the pieces are so supportive.
What I was going to say earlier about like you mentioned, you
know, the with the dormitory corner, how they this it's an
ancient, you know, it really comes from scripture.
As you know, when I first started wearing my Sri Yantra

(37:27):
pendant, I mean like 10 years ago now I think.
Yeah. I mean, this is not the original
1 I, I was wearing, but so many things, you know, I could really
feel the support and the expansiveness of the Sri Yantra
and, and I literally wear it every single day.
Obviously I don't sleep in a delicate chain, but I wear it

(37:50):
every single day. Never seems like it is.
It's part of me, you know, and actually all of my jewelry is
intentional. None of it is just like, hey,
decorative or whatever it is literally, you know, all of it
is supportive for me in some way.
So come back to just like, how can we wear it?
Do we, I know we talked a littlebit about, you know, the rings,
but can we wear them as bracelets, pendants, earrings?

(38:12):
Are there other ways that we canwear the the jewelry?
Yeah. So we always recommend first as
a ring. The reason is because the ring
doesn't move around. You know you're wearing the ring
all the time. You wear it when you sleep, so
it can consistently channel thatenergy.
But also it's OK to wear them aspendants, you know, And then if,

(38:35):
if you wear it as a pendant, we suggest wearing the pendant as
much as possible. But the pendant does move 'cause
like I said, setting in the setting for the pendant or the
ring, there should be nothing inbetween the gemstone and your
skin. So that's the main thing.
Cause a lot of people say, oh, I'll just go to a regular
jewelry store. Well, they don't realize in a

(38:57):
regular jewelry store these these gems aren't set in a way
for Jotish purposes and they're set to be jewelry.
And then a lot of times people ask me about earrings, but
earrings really not for Joe Tish.
You know, it's, it doesn't really matter.
It it it's more about pendant ring or wearing a bangle as far

(39:18):
as Joe Tish purposes go for astrological reason.
What are other things you think people should know about Joy
Tish or the remedies? It's going to say supplements,
but there's more remedies than just gems.
Yeah, there are more remedies than just gems.
And some people connect with gems, some don't.

(39:38):
And so whenever I give readings,I essentially give remedies
based on, you know, first of all, I recommend the gem based
on their first, fifth and 9th houses, the Dharma houses.
But then we look at the Dasha, right?
What cycle are you in right now?And for the Dasha, that's when I
prescribe A mantra. So mantras really act as

(40:00):
medicine. You know, if you don't know what
mantra is at certain vibrations of sound that we're invoking to
experience a certain vibratory field.
And each planet has its own mantra.
And then, like I said, each planet has its own deity.
So the different gods and goddesses from the Vedic
tradition. So sometimes we use those

(40:22):
mantras. So like if you're in Jupiter, I
would say to chant Ganesha mantra, 108 rounds, right?
Also, another remedy is breath work in crea practice.
Some may not know what Kriya is,but essentially it's different
practices using breath mantra, different mudras or gestures of

(40:43):
the hands to to invoke a certainenergetic response.
So different yogic practices. I would say that makes it a
little bit more simple, but eachplanet has different yogic
practices that are prescribed. So I usually send a video of
these practices out to my clients.
And then there's also certain service things you can do right,

(41:04):
Like so for instance, if you're in Saturn, you know, a good
thing to do would be to volunteer with elderly people on
Saturdays because Saturn's the slowest moving planet.
You know, elderly people are moving slow.
Saturday is the day of Saturn. So also each planet has its own

(41:26):
service that we also recommend doing.
Also, one option is fasting. Some people fast on a certain
day of the week for that planet, wearing a certain color on a
certain day of the week to alignwith that planet.
I don't I don't recommend that very often, but I do know people
that do that. But you know, I think one of the

(41:46):
most important things for anybody, anybody who's doing a
reading, I 'cause I do readings for a lot of people who are not
on a yogic path, but the foundational thing that I tell
everyone they have to do is a daily meditation practice.
That's the first thing because that is how we can align with

(42:06):
our chart and how we can align with the field to live a more
fulfilled, balanced life. So I always recommend meditation
is the first thing for people. But yeah, and on different
self-care practices as well based on which Dasha you're in.
Cause like in Mars dasha, there's extra energy, so people
sometimes need to go to the gym or you know, really do a lot of

(42:28):
cardio, right? Whereas in Rahu I tell people to
do slow surya namaskar everyday 3 breaths per oppose to really
ground and stabilize the energy. So it's really different for
each planet cuz you really feel that energy then in that in that
time period. Yeah, I'm.
Doing the the cosmic breath set good, yeah.

(42:49):
And that's been feeling really amazing.
Yeah. And I actually, I had a even
yesterday, I had a client who was in Jupiter, Jupiter Dasha,
and wanted to really align with Jupiter in a deeper way.
So we did what's called a Yagya. And you know, here in India,
they perform different rituals for different planets.

(43:09):
So sometimes we have clients, you know, where we've got what
we call pundits and they're people in India.
Yes, it's a Spire ceremony with different offerings.
So sometimes people also like tohave that done for them, which
is also nice. So that's really beautiful.
I mean they're so powerful. I actually did one last week.

(43:34):
But inside, I mean I have like 4feet of snow surrounding my
house. So I actually.
Use the. Fireplace inside my house and oh
good use that built with fire and I have those the the some of
the herbs and stuff and and thenI have actually for my teachers
lineage, who's, as you know, he's a 27th generation Nepali

(43:55):
shaman from the cast Nepali tradition.
So I have a special paper that you write with red ink on to
your intentions that you set in and then special herbs and so on
to make as offerings to the fire.
So that, yeah, a really beautiful, powerful experience.
And, and you can feel that that energy, right?
Just come. And when you're using the mantra

(44:16):
and the offerings and everything, it's really like,
how are you doing those? Are you not doing those over
Zoom for somebody? Is it more when they're in
person in India with you? Or sometimes are they doing them
online and then you're sending them a video of it?
So when I prescribe Yagyos for clients, I don't personally do
them, I do them for myself. But we have pundits here.
Pundits. Pundits are the people in India

(44:38):
who perform all the rituals. So I will tell the pundit,
Tatiana needs a Jupiter Yagya. Let's do it at 11:00 tomorrow
and let's bring her in and and bring her on the video call.
So some people like we to be tuned in with it while they do
the ritual. If not, I'll tell the client,

(44:59):
OK, they're going to do it at 11.
If you can just take a moment wherever you are and close your
eyes and consciously TuneIn, youknow, and people can feel it
from a distance. It's very powerful, very, very
powerful and effective. But you know, again, not all
people connect with that. Not all, not all people are into
ritual, but it's a very powerfultool working with the fire.

(45:21):
Yes, Yes, it is. Yeah.
OK, So where can we find you? How if somebody wants to to book
a Vedic astrology meeting with you, where can they find you?
So if you would like to book a reading, you can find me on
Instagram at Satva Jyotish Gems and then via e-mail at

(45:42):
info@satvajyotishgems.com. And then through that e-mail is
how I usually book sessions withclients.
And then we also have a website ofcoursesatvajotishjuns.com.
So that's the best way to reach out and for.
Sure will be on the on the show page.
No, it's don't worry that'll be there.

(46:04):
There's so many beautiful, beautiful offerings and it's
just such a life affirming experience.
I think for people, when you do a reading and, and particularly
when we're at A, at a Crocs in our life, if something's
happening and it's great just todo one in general and sort of
learn about, about yourself and go, oh, wow, you know, I didn't
know that or wow, this makes sense for these shadow aspects

(46:26):
that I've been working on or, you know, whatever.
But then if you are at a, at a something shifting in your life
to, to actually do a reading in that moment, really, I think it
could help a lot of people work through whatever it is they need
to move through to get to the next place.
So they're, they're super power.Yeah, really amazing.
It's fascinating because, yeah, some people will write to me and

(46:46):
be like, I think I need a reading, and we'll do it.
And I'll say, hey, what? OK, what's going on?
And they're like this, this and this.
And then I look at the chart andI'm like, oh, yeah, OK, I can
see why that's happening. All right, This is why.
So now this is what we need to do to work with that energy.
So it's really powerful in thosemoments as well.
Well, thank you so much for sharing all that so much stuff.

(47:10):
Thank you so much for having me.Thank you so much.
Lots of love.
